I won't lie I've rewritten this like multiple times?? I don't know why this was so hard for me other than I hate conflict, so I struggled hard bro.

Scenario: Mean girl insulting their s/o while trying to flirt (Tecchou, Jouno)

Tecchou

“You can do better, you know?”

Tecchou blinked at the girl in front of him, the one who was staring at him dead in the face with eyes that looked like a predator.

It was an unsettling gaze. He felt challenged, as if the two were in a cage, ready to throw down.

She didn't look like an assassin, but Tecchou met abilities that were far more dangerous than physical capabilities alone.

“Excuse me?”

”You heard me. Ditch the cabbage patch bitch, come here and get a barbie. I think you're worth that.“

The woman leaned in closer, her long hair almost brushing against his arms.

Tecchou took a step back, regaining his personal space. He breathed as he felt his sword tied to his body, certainly within reach.

She was a civilian, but she could very well be a threat.

”I don't know what cabbage patches have to do with my girlfriend.”

The woman squinted at him, almost in offense. She was the one offering him a doll in the first place, like some sort of man in a white van offering kids candy.

It was a strange situation.

“I'm saying she's ugly. What? You don't think you deserve someone hot like me?”

Oh.

She was almost aggresive with her words, her long acrylic nail nearly jabbing at his chest - this was aggression, but it was pointed towards someone else.

It was targeted towards you. That's very crass, isn't it?

”I don't think you're attractive.“

Tecchou had a hard line to toe. He didn't want to deal with a hysterical woman, but he also knew that you most certainly heard this conversation, listening from somewhere off in the park while he had gone to order you both lunch.

He hated to imagine the look on your face from hearing those words. You were rather sensitive compared to him when it came to these things, and he hated to imagine you crying.

It was one of the worst things that he had ever seen, that and wasting food. Maybe his bones poking out from underneath his skin were a close second, but he could handle physical pain pretty well. He didn't really know how to handle you crying, and it was damn near as painful.

”Excuse me?“

Tecchou had to take another step back, the woman not understanding the concept of personal space and respecting boundaries. It was agitating, watching as she tried to encroach onto his personal boundaries again, her hand reaching towards his chest area.

Slapping her hand away, he glared at her, looking between her and the offending hand between them.

“Don't touch me.”

There was an anger building up inside of him, watching the woman as she stared at him in confusion. What the hell did she have to be confused about? She was the one who had insulted his girlfriend.

"Who the hell do you think you are-"

"Don't insult people you don't know."

He didn't bother to look back at the woman, instead rushing to get his food.

He and his girlfriend's food.

Because that's who really mattered. Not some woman who didn't even know how personal boundaries worked. Or notice the fact that he was carrying a lethal weapon.

Tecchou wasn't the kind of man to harm a civilian. But once and a while he was reminded of why he was different from them.

"You know, for a blind guy you're really cute."

Jouno hated having his downtime disturbed, and of course, when he tried to be a good boyfriend and get a package for you, he was interrupted by a woman who he did not care to hear from.

Certainly not his girlfriend, nor Teruko, nor anyone he respected.

The only distress he smelled was in her pants, and frankly, he wanted no part. He just wanted to go home and bring you back whatever stupid shirt you ordered.

"My girlfriend says that to me all the time."

He emphasized the words, hoping she would feel embarrassed and leave him alone. There were others in the mailroom, surely she would take the hint and know not to hit on a man wearing fire-red Hello Kitty pajamas.

At least, that's what you had told him. He was against wearing tacky outfits, but you liked to match and he wasn't going to say no when you were thoughtful enough to buy something so considerate to his senses.

Maybe they looked stupid. He didn't care to see them, anyway, since he only wore them at home. And in the mailroom.

Where he was currently being hit on.

"Well, do you think she appreciates it?"

"What?"

Already starting to walk away from the woman, he found himself being followed by her into the stairwell. He would rather take an elevator, but being stuck in a locked room with her seemed rather unpleasant at the moment.

"You know..."

Not caring for her life, the woman grabbed his arm, hugging it close to her chest. He cringed as he tried to push her off, feeling as she pressed her entire body weight against him.

It felt like someone had thrown a piano at him.

"I think I can show you a way better time than she can. Just stand here-"

Cringing, Jouno pushed her off, listening as she stumbled against the railings.

"You're not deaf, are you? I'm in a relationship, psycho."

He dusted himself off, trying to clean away the dirty particles that was her mere existence on his clothes. At this rate, he was going to have to bleach them.

"With an ugly bitch! I know you can't see it, but-"

"I haven't seen your face but I already know a pig was your mother."

Smirking, he felt for the fire alarm on the wall, pulling it.

Jouno knew he was just out of line for the sprinklers, and it was satisfying to listen as the woman shouted as the cold water shocked her system. It was worth the screaming in his ears - he knew that she most likely looked like shit now.

With the woman off of him, he took the dryest path up the stairs, smiling as he listened to her screams of indignation.

Possibly humiliation. He sure hoped so, for being unable to listen to a simple rejection.

"I hope you have your phone on you. I'm not leaving the door open for you, ugly bitch."

He waved goodbye to her with your package, smirking as she banged on the now closed doors of the stairwell.

The fire department can deal with her. That wasn't his problem.

There was a package he had to deliver to his lovely girlfriend, who he knew would be sitting in a shared apartment wondering why the fire alarm went off.

Honestly I struggled mad hard with this one. So much so it took me nearly a year to write (haha...haaaaaaa). But also hope you enjoyed it cause damn...I've never been in a mean girls scenario so i had to make it up

In my mind, whenever Karlach and Astarion are like sitting or lounging around, Astarion sits right between Karlach's legs. Like you know, she does her man spread and props her arms on her knees and Astarion sits between her legs, leaning back on her chest and judges everyone hardcore while Karlach is behind him just loving every minute of it like :3

I think he'd like it because she's so warm (and i feel like he's always cold), and it's also a way for him to get physical touch in a relatively non-intimate way. And Karlach's just happy when anyone touches her at all -- he could probably punch her in the gut and she'd call him adorable ("Please, I would never" he'd insist and Gale would be like "Yeah because you're likely to break your hand" and again Karlach's just like :3)

So Astarion sits between her legs and very aggresively judges people while she smiles and makes jokes and chats it up. overall? One of the best dw stories I’ve ever seen. Great mystery, impressive action for the time, time lords, dark tone, and brilliant acting across the board. 10/10

What inspired you to review 2010s cartoons on a regular basis besides big franchise installments

Why were'nt you so accepting of the anti-smartphone commentary on "App Trap"? Is it a generational difference or is it just bad?

What are your picks for the best episodes that poke fun of the aggresive marketing of big franchises and the commericalization of animation in general?

You’re welcome. It’s really fun to hear from folks how each show I cover resonated with them.

1) I think enough time has passed to where 2010s kids are coming of age, so nostalgia for media from that era is becoming more potent. Sometimes I wonder if it’s because I’m running out of shows from the 90s and 2000s to review, but then I look up and see that there’s still hundreds of options. I’m happy to slowly integrate 2010s cartoons into the rotation though.

2) If you mean the Fairly OddParents episode, the commentary just felt condescending. I can see a self-depricating joke in there about Mr. Crocker being the most vocally against smartphones, but it doesn’t feel like there were enough pro-smartphone points to balance the commentary out. But I don’t think it was a generational difference, because the guy who wrote the story outline, Alec Schwimmer, is a millennial.

3) I think Knock It Off from The Powerpuff Girls is a particularly clever example. There are many successful shows that comment on their own success, but Knock It Off weaves that into the world of Townsville in a big, sinister way. I can see it as an allegory for a corporate figurehead taking someone’s love-filled creations and squeezing their profitability into oblivion.

Vampire OC's :) I'm going to make three seperate posts about them because I have a lot to say about them

Starting with Jules!

Some little lore snippets for you guys! I envision this as a sort of metaphorical side of vampirism, rather than fantastical, so some of the traditional vampire aspects are not included in these characters.

Jules is really extroverted and optimistic, almost to a irritating degree. He likes to tease and poke fun at people, but he doesn't really seem to know (Or care about) when people are getting annoyed and gets into trouble about it sometimes. He likes to go with his own chaotic flow and doesn't really listen to people's advice.

He isn't really a powerful or aggresive vampire by any means. He prefers to eat or drink from humans because he loves animals too much and could not bear to drink from them.

His turning was a brutal and terryfing experience for him. Although he tries to deal with it in a optimistic and hopeful manner, a certain melancholy will take over him sometimes. This is also one of the reasons why Jules doesn't turn humans into vampires.

Some little fun things about him!

I want to make him have a pet rat. I'm not decided on the name though, but I want him to have a really fancy name like Charles Vanderbilt V

Jules is ace! (Both asexual and aromantic). I also think he would wear both feminine and masculine clothing just fine, but he prefers masc.

He is very polite about drinking people's blood and tries to explain the whole situation very calmly before suggesting the topic. He keeps himself very well fed. Even if he gets very hungry, he doesn't really lose his composure nor does he attempts to force feed. He is just really chill about it all.

He only has a top set of fangs.

Jules does not have eyebrows :) Ignore the drawing of him drinking I fucked this rule up

In Irinas favour as said Media and Tenera are nice people who do share a bit about Aidens inner turmoil while he doesn't that much... cause obviously he was hurt enough. I feel they could bond over her testing some of his food and given how god tier level it is he is just happy about her reactions and someone not avoiding him for once but doesn't say much about it... she could also join him during his naps and lean her head on his shoulder and he would welcome it.

Another thing also despite you skipping over them but I feel Carol given she often watches the NRC sports with a book in hand cause it kinda calms her would notice if some got hurt and could meet Spike this way and mayhaps treat him if he got hurt... gently tending to it while encouraging him.

Eiji keeps it hidden well usually but... well Victor could point things together... how Eiji got more material and how in the papers two people vanished, how he had something red splatters on his body the other day. But yeah it could be they both are just haters till Victor had to get him thanks to Azul asking that all dorm members meet and found him cleaning off dirt off his bones, pinning him to the wall to make sure to keep shut or he will kill him and sees Victor just look at him much more curious and less frightened.. from then on it really could sail as a deal to a lovers relationship. Cause Eiji does like people who appreciate his work.

Flynn is a very persistent one... to the point you can reject him 20 times and he mostly come back trying to push your buttons. Unless its too aggresive of course but he is patient. He is a talented actor and as Vils friend does his best to not blame him and be more suave... But he definelty poke at her blushes... her looking at him and mayhaps play his romance roles out... offering her flowers... attention and kissing her hand. So yeah I feel they have very much sucess on becoming a thing for sure.

Hehe so I saw the OCs types post... mayhaps I can find something right among my ocs...

Irina: I wanna say Aiden fits in a lot of these, he is taller than her, super protective... has one blue eye, darker purple hair, intimidating and strong... plus well... he is emotionally constipated mostly... unless it comes to cooking. But he is distant yet dedicated once you get through to him really.

Spike: I wanna say most of these is Carol .. Except the hair but she is a kind woman, nurturing... she is more green coded but certainly pulls of white well and also once she got her plant powers summons white lillies as well as has white flowers growing on her. Open-minded well depends on how you approach her, she can be judgy but she quickly changes her mind if she knows all is good. She is a good source of a Calm woman who embrace you and give you a safe space.

Junia: This one is harder cause many conflict... I thought Yuzuha cause he got glasses and strength and intelligence but he can be a teasing meany. Can be kinder if he wants to and thinks you are worth it though... sadly most of my himbos are also not the kindest but i would say Slice is the kindest but he is also a clown.

Veronica: I saw this and my brain went imidiatly to Flynn , Epitome of Joker, charmer, confident... always wears a mask to hide the things he did. But also he aint strong but a master at dodging and escaping death... I feel given he is friends with Vil he also for sure would try to get Veronicas attention

Victor: I said it before when you asked me for interactions but Eiji is still just the most fitting here fr. Literally ticks all of the boxes.

Artemisia: This one is pretty hard among my ocs... Actually more cause of age cause my only choice was someone older.... and i haven't made some of my younger ones that smart... closest would be Mellow. He is smart, has a softer voice, is a bit more introverted... however the rest he is lacking... he will get more confident as an adult so maybe by then he feels comfy teasing but till then.. its just him being red a lot.

And the shared trust issues and abandonment issues would definitely make Irina want to be closer to him after she learned about it

One of my literal first thoughts about Eiji was 'man, Victor would have a big crush on this guy as soon as he found out about the murder' lol

And their shared dislike of most of NRC would be another bonding-point haha

As for Flynn...

The big thing you gotta understand with getting close to Veronica is that usually, it is a SLOW process. And the other person basically always has to be the one to initiate it for a WHILE at the start. Her abandonment issues from being separated from everyone she's ever cared about before has made it so she pushes most people away before she can get attached, and losing them could hurt.

BUT! That she's actually close with people at all right now(Vil, Rook, Epel), and that she has her brother back with her, makes her less likely to try super hard; it calms her down a lot. But mostly just because she feels like she has everyone she needs.

That he's already close with Vil would make it like 100x easier for him than most other people to get close to her. Rule of thumb; if she has someone she really looks up to, and you're on good terms with them, she'll probably like you, or at least tolerate you more.

But honestly? The thing that would 100% work on her is teasing.

You know those kids who'd tease their crush in grade school? That shit works on her. She's always felt like no one ever tried to actually get to know or understand her, so the minute she meets someone new who can manage to push her buttons but in a harmless way, she's instantly interested, even though she would NEVER admit that.

It's legit the easiest way to get close to her; just keep consistently showing up to tease her until she stops trying to push you away and she's basically stuck to you like glue :) 👍

And they have a lot in common, too! Like fashion, and both being really rebellious, following their own sense of right and wrong rather than just taking someone else's word for it
