I feel that during the first coffee date walk through the market, rye has a fraction of a millisecond's kneejerk trauma freakout of '...wait. wait. am I really catching feelings for a rich boy again. with how that went down last time. am I truly that stupid' (once derogatorily referred to quite openly at a party as 'young master anaxas' pet mortalitasi' to which the young master anaxas only grinned and shrugged and STILL you don't break up with his smug controlling ass for good for six more months because you have a desperate bottomless yearning pit where your self respect should go, twice shy lol). and then he actually looks at lucanis standing next to him getting harding spearmint to help with bad dreams and generally being so quietly thoughtful and sweet through the prosaic yet necessary medium of grocery shopping it makes me feel a little unwell to truly contemplate. and rye is like '*the softest fondest eyes anyone has ever turned on anything* ...you know what. I suspect we don't have to worry about that repeating, I think we're probably safe. I am comfortable being this level of stupid. (slowly dawning marital intent even at this stage)'.

(part of the reason rye buys NONE of illario's bullshit at all right from the beginning is that he's basically vaccinated against this exact type of dude after that relationship lol. charming suave guy who in the beginning pays you a lot of lavish attention and takes pains to make you feel special every time you're in a room with him -- but shallowly and mostly, it slowly dawns on you, when there's something he wants from you (and he's often doing it at the expense of someone else, raising you up to put someone else down and you won't believe this... it can turn into a seesaw at a whim. yay). and beneath that there's just a seething pit of resentment and inferiority complexes and bitterness left to fester until he can make it everyone else's problem and that IS going to start to bubble up between the cracks with you too if you stick around for long enough. no thank you been there done that wasted my youth and potential on it and all I got was this lousy shiny set of new emotional intimacy issues haunting me for life! trust me illario I HAVE, as it were, chosen the wrong dellamorte before, which is exactly how I know I didn't this time. go get him lucanis I've got your coffee

i love seeing the love that au creators have for the og undertale,,,,,, like you can see it in the way that SAS balances the pacing and characterization of og undertale with horrortale's themes and story direction!!!! you can see it in the several tweets calvateyla has just rambling about sans and undertale its so amazing and heartwarming to me 😭😭😭 like that's how i know that these aus were made with love and care for the creativity of the og game and added onto it with their own creativity ITS SO SWEET!!!! how long did it take for you to come up with the designs for the clones?? did it come naturally or did you have to do a lot of thinking / concepts?

hm im having to go back thru my memories for this one bc it was a while ago... but iirc i had a handful of specific ideas for some of them: Three essentially as Bart with blue eyes, Five as an older clone, Seven as a robot, Nine/Nathaniel not having powers. And then i had a thing with their colour-coding which used to be more significant than it ended up in the actual story, along with the roman-numeral incorporation a la the movie Stardust.

the rest i pretty much made up on the fly when i drew that first comic, and its wild that their designs have stayed pretty much the same bc i was fully expecting to overhaul their looks once i actually nailed down their characters.

a couple details have changed since that tho. Six's cybernetic eyes came later, along with Eight/Jude's heterochromia and birthmark, and now Seven tilts more into the mech direction. I also hadn't figured out what Five's face would look like under the mask yet, and Nine/Nathaniel's hair being bleached was basically an afterthought that I decided to come up with an explanation for later. (iirc I didn't want Three to be the only brunette, so I debated Eight and Nine having brown hair. Pretty sure i made them blonde and bottle blonde respectively purely to have Three stand out more in the foreground for that one panel lmao)

also because I had vague ideas on their internal relationships I put a teaspoon of thought into their jumpsuit designs and how they relate to each other. Three and Five have the same earpieces and a black/white/accent color scheme. Eight and Nine have a black/grey/accent thing going on. Six's suit is a step removed from the rest of them with only black and blue happening, and the hardware around his face/ears matches Seven's design.

but yeah basically some stuff i had ideas for and planned out and other stuff i came up with after the fact, and a lot of stuff i threw in there and then came up with an explanation later lol

Hey! Not a weird ask at all, and I swear I've seen one for an anomalocaris before but I can't remember where?? I'll take a look and see what I can find, and hopefully someone will see this that has a link to a pattern Edit: So good news bad news, I did find the anomalocaris plush I was thinking of, but the designer has not shared the pattern. Good news is it looks really simple to design a pattern for a simplified version of it? I'd just need to handstitch on the curved front...not legs and use the same technique I use to make spider legs without having to sew each leg individually (topstitching, but maybe also pleating) Can you reblog this with some reference photos of anomalocaris? anomalocarises? I do not know enough about them to be able to distinguish which ones are good references

i’m doing little pixel art sprites of a bunch of my ocs for my toyhouse and only when putting my two groups of 4 young adults next to each other did i realise how fucking similar they are. like i basically made one set of ocs, pressed shuffle, and got the other set. they’re the same 4 main colours [blue, yellow, pink, and green tho i did just change one of those to teal] and they have roughly the same personalities just in different configurations. how have i even managed this

Episode one of Supernatural is so flawed that, had I watched it for the first time last night (instead of for the third), I would not have have watched the second. Ever. The flaws are things I simply didn't pick up on when I was thirteen, and memory glazed over with emotional attachment. I understand why these flaws are there, what the writers tried and failed to do through clumsy dialogue and strange character decisions. There's no subtlety. Everything Sam says is direct exposition, specifically the things that he would not have to say to his brother.

I do not do reviews so that's all I'm going to say.

just saw this but yesyes agreed! whole is special to me as a person, and the whole i know {and love hehe} is absolutely not cj so I never write the character that way! I can see how people could be uncomfortable with it for themselves, and sometimes the fandom does get a little too far into the parallels. but whole is my beautiful little bug. so
