A million dollars (Batfamily Chronicles Flash Fiction)

Duke: Would you slap your favorite brother for a million dollars?

Jason without a second thought kicked Tim in the face, sending him to the floor.

Tim (shocked, anger): What the fuck?!

Duke (deadpan): I said slap.

Jason: Oh right, hold on.

Jason helped Tim up and then back hand slapped him across the face. Tim spun around and collapsed to the ground again.

Tim: Ow, I bit my cheek that time!

Tim moaned in pain.

Jason (pretending to be ignorant): Wait did you say favorite brother? I thought you meant if I had to slap one.

Tim: You know that's not what he said!

Duke (amused): You'd win, but Holy pimp slap Batman. Damn!

Tim: How much can I get for this?

Tim kicked Jason in his crotch causing the man to fall to the ground as well. Duke took a sip from his coffee mug trying not to laugh.

Now there's a conversation to have!

On the one hand, it's easy to say they'd be immune because of the whole undead thing, maybe because their body temperature is too low, or because magic, or because vampirism is close enough to rabies that they should only be able to get one at a time.

But on the other hand, the idea of a bat-vampire suffering from rabies is both funny and terrifying.

An evil vampire is bad enough, killing on a whim. But remember that rabies makes regular animals act in ways that will spread it the most: drooling, friendly, then bitey. Can you imagine the scourge of the town showing up apparently drunk and wanting to be friends with everyone -- until he doesn't?

Zombie Apocalypse Questions

Tim: If one of us got bitten during a zombie apocalypse would you shoot us?

Dick: No, never-

Jason: .A bullet between the brains once you started showing signs. A hundred percent. You're welcome.

Damian: I respect it. I knew Jason would say the right thing. He'd last in the zombie apocalypse.

Dick: You- You wouldn't even try to not shoot us? No hesitation?

Jason: ...Nah. Even if there was a cure.

Tim (shocked): Why would you shoot us if there was a cure?!

Jason: Would the cure be with us or is it still being discovered? Because if there is no cure or it's too far to get to then that's a mercy killing.

Damian: That's an excellent point. That's two for Jason.

Dick: Okay, well I know that Bruce wouldn't dare shoot us.

Bruce thought about the right answer to this as sat on the couch texting Selina.

Bruce: If there was no cure nearby and you're becoming aggressive with the zombie bite... Hm, in that situation I wouldn't immediately kill you. I would be able to make cure regardless.

Dick: It wasn't a yes he'd shoot us.

Jason: I'd bury you afterwards, I'm being considerate.

Bruce: Yeah, I'd bury you as well. Again if I decided to shoot you.

Tim (concerned): Why is the one thing you agree on the fact you'd bury us after we turned into zombies?
