14 Years Ago, one of the best albums of pop punk history came out. This album plays with a theme of authentic vs perfection that describes the music business/industry from its town (actually even up til now). From the singles like Celebrity Status and All to Myself, to deep cuts like Perfect and Lover Dearest, this album has something for everyone that enjoys a little harmless dancing or an emotional moment. This album personally helped me get through a hard time in my life and the first album to introduce me to this Wonderful band.

Thank you Marianas Trench for releasing this album 14 years ago. 💖💖💖💖

sry if this is the narcissism talking but I hate being a kind-of-objectively-pretty person as evidenced by things people have told me but I'm a trans guy in utah who doesn't leave my house except to go to school and I don't talk to other trans guys because I don't listen to AJR or smoke weed or do alt boy makeup and my vibe is vaguely intimidating/anti-social even when I'm trying so hard to be friendly and even when people find me smart and charming and confident they keep their distance like they're at the zoo and I would die before setting foot in a gay bar and I am a m*rm*n who listens to NIN and I have attachment issues like a bar of soap because my parents raised me kind of like that wire monkey experiment and my comfort blanket disappeared when I was four years old because my mom didn't want me to be dependent on it or something and when I was sixteen I started shaking every night because no one touched me for months at a time and I am a hamster in one of those plastic tube cages trying constantly desperately to burrow into something deeper and warmer but I do not have the means

28: Something you, their creator, like the most about them?

This goes for both Frost and Pepp, but they were childhood OCs i made around age 12(?). i love that i took that and revamped their designs to hold onto them into the present. Pepp especially got a redesign. okay also i think Frost's concept is super cute i wish a canonical sonic character had that role.

30: What is their main goal/motive?

Frost: He lives his life as a guardian/caretaker for a group of chao in a remote mountain wilderness. The chao are his friends and family and he helps protect them, find food for them, navigate/migrate with them, etc. They are his motive :>

Pepp: She travels around on a riverboat home and loves to farm and forage. She's mostly interested in traveling and connecting with various people as she goes about selling what she grows+finds.

12: Are they good with Chao, Wisp, or any other sort of creature?

Rocket: He is very attentive and would probably get along with them all well. He has a lot of experience from looking after Rush, after all.

Rush: She likes chao just fine, but prefers to hang out with wisp on account of how she can interact with them similar to sonic and get fun power-ups.

13: What were they like as a kid?

well for one thing, they weren't as jaded and bitter lol

Trench: Beloved princess of the kingdom, she really enjoyed being the center of attention and showing off. Always sharing what she was up to. Also it would be cool if she was into rollerblading before getting her ice powers.

Mariana: A very friendly and sociable kid who was always trying to go out and do things with her friends, especially Trench.

Hello! You're my first ever ask!! Probably my own fault as I never promote my fics anywhere or tell people my asks are open (or maybe I'm just being egotistical in thinking people would want to talk to me) but either way, I'm slightly surprised you went out of your way to find me and very honoured!!

I find it hilarious that you just refer to the fic as "the mariana trench one" because you're so real for that, my titles are too goddamn long and annoying to type even for myself. So much so that I've made an oath to myself that every new fic I write has to have a title 5-6 words in length MAX.

With all that babble out of the way I'm so glad you enjoyed my fic and even more glad that you were inspired to compile an entire playlist of songs because of it!! I'm not the kind of person to relate songs to characters/fics because my music taste is too narrow for that but I've listened to the playlist and just...YES. Risk, Internet Stalking, Kiss With A Fist, etc is literally smalletho in my fic. Seeing Skinny Dipping by Sabrina Carpenter in the playlist is not a surprise to me because Chapter 13 was inspired by another fic by the name of "resistant, but going down with the ship" by @insomnya777 (you may know them from the smalletho superhero AU) which is based on the song itself.

The ocean. The ocean, you ask? But that’s not obscure at all. OH IT IS WHEN YOU BRING IN THE SCARIEST SEA CREATURES IN THE MARIANA TRENCH, BOATS THAT HAVE GONE MISSING FOR DECADES, BLOOPS, AND SIGHTINGS OF THINGS THAT HAVEN’T BEEN SEEN SINCE THAT MAKE PEOPLE SHIT THEMSELVES. That is what I mean by the ocean! I honestly love studying that part of it and it almost made me study marine biology!

So in the sacrifice au with mouningstar would he feel guilty if his little had trauma from that insta kill that he gave them? Like maybe they'd be terrified with despite how quick and painless it was when he killed them that they'd be terrified he'd do it again or maybe they developed PTSD or something from it. Because I'm not gonna lie despite how quick and painless he tried to make it, it's scary going from a moment of this short scary king killed all those people but he's being nice to me, maybe he's somewhat safe-! WERE UNDER WATER-! WHERE AM I?! OH MY GOD ITS HIM! DONT TOUCH ME!

The thing about this is if he did teleport you both under the sea in a trench, you wouldn't even have time to process it. (For reference according to Google it takes no less than 100 milliseconds for the brain to process pain and around 13 milliseconds to process things visually, for reference the now infamous recent submarine incident was at 12,500 ft (3.81 km according to a convertor) when it imploded and it took less than one millisecond. Now imagine if you will the unprotected human body in the deepest parts of the Mariana Trench at an estimated 35,814 ft (10.91 km) there is absolutely no time for any pain or processing of the information, it's just poof and you're gone)

In a way, that's more terrifying, though, because one moment you're watching the literal devil kill each of the cult members and then he hugs you and suddenly you're falling into hell.

However, odds are you were at the very least stabbed before this since blood of the innocent would be required to summon him in the first place. If he's lucky he can convince you that you simply were beyond saving, but it's okay he will take care of you now. Things are very different here and as a newly fallen Little you'll need his help even more. May fly you over a few of the more violent sections of hell on the way home as a kinda scare tactic to prove just how much you need him.

If you happen to be a little traumatized, don't worry, Daddy's here for you and will help you through this difficult transition. If the traumatization happens to make you more accepting of your position as his babygirl then surely no one could blame him if it takes a little longer, or forever, for him to help you through it.

Sooo he does have the bit of guilt but if it helps him get closer to them then it's definitely muted, and if it doesn't he's more guilty but firmly believes it was a necessity.
