Hey, maybe this is a good place to throw this out there. I've got an unfortunately iTunes only DRM set of songs from an album that appears to have been nuked off of the site.

The band name and album name are somewhat not search optimized and also they're Japanese.

It was some good electronic stuff that I'd love to have non-DRM copies of because I want to move away from iTunes (I was an early adopter, which I forever regret).

Anyway.

The band is Akatsuki and the album (~2006) is -AA-. The full album had 13 tracks apparently. I only have three of those:

Definitely not immortal!

I think there's a big difference between immortal and invulnerable (as someone who looooves the immortal trope). The thought in my head is that his humanity is technically the chink in his armor, I wouldn't call it a weakness, because it's something he values so much, but it is the hardest aspect to protect and care for.

Like, there are many ways that his human half could die, and many ghosts, and even people, might think it's not worth keeping around, because he'd probably be more "powerful" without it. But that's not what Danny is about. He wants to be a bridge, he loves being a human as much as he loves being a ghost and it's part of what makes his character so interesting!!

In this au physical violence won't kill his human half, but like, not eating for weeks will. He ages, he needs to sleep, he needs water and light and community, his humanity is something to care for and cherish, and it's why he holds tight to it and wants to do things like go to college.

His ghost king strategy isn't to be a pariah, but to be a bridge and play the line between what makes a human and what makes a ghost.

Accidental Villain Lair Acquisition

Team Phantom fleed Amity after a bad run with GIW. They found themselves in Gotham, then proceed to discover some interesting things underneath the city.

There is a natural spring of ectoplasm, for one. Not as pure as realms quality, but beggers choosers and whatever.

Then there's the messed up group of enthralled liminals too.

In other words, the court of owls are not having a good time at all. And Team Phantom accidentally become the new court. Yay...?

Danny:if I get a penny every time I gained the right to rule by rite of conquest, I'll have two. Which isn't a lot but... Why the fudge does this keep happening???

Can we take a second just to admire cc!Joel Smallishbeans. Like my guy is currently on two smp's, he keeps up with Hermitcraft, he is somewhat present on SOS. Also his base is incredibly detailed, its large, and he has gotten really good at armor stands out of nowhere. He updates an average of once a week, he took a vacation to Japan and still managed to keep up with Hermitcraft.

He can follow the bit and has an uncanny ability to stop himself from being the butt of the joke. Like for example the neck kisses thing was at first a kind of 'ha ha that's really weird Joel' then he leaned into it so hard that now Etho is the one obsessed with Joel's neck kisses and both of them are obsessed with each other and its not just Joel.

And the whole ieseki harem bit too?? Like he has half of the server around his finger cause of a bit.

Also he is actually kind of good at tricking people? Like bro convinced three (I think) people that Etho built the statues not him.

Hes funny as hell and also he is like really bold? Like my guy posted himself singing a Minecraft parody to 'Money Money Money' he makes Hollywood level intros in Minecraft. His intros are the best by the way always have been. They're more elaborate now and they are really funny but there was a charm to when his intros were him standing in front of a horse hilling machine with no acknowledgment of it.

B is so cute. He came to me, very serious, asking if we could talk. And then, equally serious, laid out a proposal for a trip to Costa Rica at a nice resort. The caveat was that the trip would cater specifically to pickleball-players. So he would be pickle-balling all morning every day of the trip, with optional afternoon play. And he hastened to tell me that he would still have lunch and dinner with me daily and that we could make afternoon plans most days, and that there were options for partners of players who didn’t pickle themselves, like massages and scuba diving and such.

And I was like. Hold the phone, my love. Are you saying you want to take me to a veritable paradise for a week in which the only planned part of my days are meals, and I’m otherwise free to swim in the ocean and lounge poolside while reading and writing and I don’t have to worry that I’m ignoring you because you’ll be occupied having fun with your nerdy sports friends?

And he was like “…yes?”

So anyway. I now have a writing retreat/reading vacation to look forward to that happens to coincide with B’s pickleball retreat.

You know what I appreciate? In the scene where 2nd-dimension Doof forces Perry to reveal himself by attacking the boys, our Doof’s immediate reaction is anger. Perry being there or not, the idea of hurting children is a complete no. It’s such a subtle thing, but I think it really shows what makes the two Doofenshmirtzes different. It kind of sticks out to me both for later in the movie and even later in the show when Doof realizes he’s actually good—physically hurting children is a line he would never cross.

We drove across the state today to set up a photo frame device for my aunt, and introduce her to Bug. While we were there, we took her and her bf to dinner across the street from her complex, and my mom texted to ask how we'd gotten my aunt over, since we're in my dad's fuckoff big truck and she's not able to climb into it. My dad texted back that he just tied a tow cable to her wheelchair and drove over, and my mom texted me to find out the truth but

My aunt laughed until she wheezed and told us to stop being so mean to her sister, but when we got back to her apartment:

how are you so in love with yourself...this is not me accusing you of narcissism or smth i genuinely am in awe of how much you seem to like yourself and be in love with yourself and I try so hard to be like you and do that too but i fail every single time...i really really want to know how I could be like this too because i know it is one of the biggest things stopping me from achieving happiness

Not sure if this is a ubiquitous experience, but for me personally affirmations can only go so far. There’s always been a direct correlation between me doing action-based things and my self-esteem increasing, so I try to keep my promises to myself (study at x time, work out at y time, just doing whatever I need to do even if I don’t have the motivation for it). Someone told me that self-esteem comes w doing esteemable things, and I’ve never forgotten that since. What someone thinks about me (including the gargoyle voice in my head lol) won’t faze me if I have tangible accomplishments under my belt I can refer back to on bad days
