Guess what!! It's Nutcracker season!! The NYCB is currently busily rehearsing for their shows! What are our boys up to?

It definitely is! They have been quite busy with shows, and so grateful to have this opportunity together. (Just like I'm so grateful for co-authoring this AU with you) However, they are Exhausted™️ and need a breather. So, for the purposes of this ask, we’re taking a trip down memory lane if that’s OK 🫶

Typically the studio is filled with noise. With chatter, gossip, the gentle tap of pointe shoes. Not now though. It’s still; a sacred space.  It’s been over a decade since Eddie last attended anything akin to mass or confession, but now feels as close to a religious experience as he’ll ever be again. A place to be reverent, and inspired by divine energy. A sanctuary to unburden himself.  Inky black sky has given way to the blues and grays that creep in before dawn. The dreamy transition between sleep and wakefulness that waits for the rest of the world. But not for Eddie. Currents of excitement sweep over his skin, rippling through the fine hairs like dandelion wisps on a breeze.  He forces himself to be patient through his stretches and warmups. Extra practice doesn’t do him any good if he doesn’t do this properly.  Finally, when he’s loose and limber, he steps to the center of the floor. Oblivious, he cracks his gum while staring at his phone screen. “Thanks,” Eddie says. Essa é sua vida desde que finalmente começou a namorar ele, cuida das crianças pelo dia, fica com ele no início da noite e depois vai estudar. Agora mesmo, se arruma para um jantar chique entre pessoas importantes. Tudo parece perfeito, se sente como a esposa dele, a Senhora Jeong, a mulher que ele exibe para os amigos e que diz ser dele. Os pais dele te aceitaram bem, disseram que você fazia bem para o homem e que iria ajudá-lo a colocar a vida de volta aos trilhos. – Papai! – Minjeong grita do quarto dela, desde que aprendeu a falar 'papai' grita por ele o dia todo, todos os dias. Em passinhos rápidos ela chega ao quarto de Jaehyun, o vestidinho rosa de mangas bufantes e desenhos de borboletas ficou adorável nela, sabia que iria ficar perfeito, afinal foi você que escolheu. – Olha só que princesa, hm. Você está linda meu amor. – Ele a pega no colo e beija o topo da sua cabeça. – Onde está sua irmã? Minji chega na mesma hora no quarto, com uma escova de cabelo e laços nas mãos. – Mamãe, você pode fazer um penteado bem bonito no meu cabelo. Você paralisa, bem como jaehyun fica surpreso, não esperava que a mais velha das irmãs — logo a que tem noção de que você não é a mãe dela — te chamasse assim. Com olhos marejados responde um "sim meu amor" e coloca ela para sentar na cadeira da sua penteadeira.

Ali Jaehyun percebe que você era a pessoa certa dessa vez, que era quem deveria se casar. Sabe que você ainda não terminou a faculdade e que provavelmente não esteja pronta para ser madrasta de duas garotinhas, mas algo diz para ele ajoelhar ali mesmo, no carpete do quarto, e te pedir para ser dele para sempre.

Na mesma noite, já na festa ele resolve te assumir de vez, por aquele anel que já estava guardado a um tempo no seu dedo. Ouviu você dizer o sim sem nenhum medo, jurou que era o dia mais feliz da vida dele — depois do nascimento das filhas, claro —.

E então desde aquela tempestade na varanda, ele finalmente pode dizer que você é totalmente dele.

princess, i got sick and i can’t stop sniffing :/ all i can think of is rafe taking care of a sick reader, wrapping her in some warm blankets and holding her until she falls asleep. her eyes start to flutter and he’s like “good girl, you’ll feel better once you get some rest”

when you’ve been sleeping all day so you’re up in the middle of the night, just feeling awful cos the meds are wearing off and you can’t help but cry, all whiny and disorientated :(

rafe was asleep, but he’s slowly sitting up and waking himself up, prepared to deal with you because he does actually feel bad :(

“c’mere…” his voice is all sleepy and he can barely open his eyes but he’s sitting up, pulling you up to rest against him up by the headboard. “n’take this off. jesus, kid. you’re burning up.” he peels the blanket away from you, shushing when you whine because you feel cold. “i know… just tryna help you, ‘kay? close your eyes.”

“feel so bad.” you sniffle into him, probably getting snot on the shirt he’s sleeping on.

“yeah… getting sick is usually no fun.” he sighs, wracking his half awake brain for what to do and coming up empty. “can i… can i get you anything?”

“no.” you smush your cheek against him.

“no, okay. just try and rest baby. please? like really try?” he’s exasperated but not with you, just at the fact he feels helpless— and rafe hates feeling like he can’t solve someone’s problems.

“m’trying.”

“good girl. gonna feel better in the morning alright? you have my word.” he’s already closing his eyes, getting comfortable with you half on top of him, his warm hand stroking the aches and pains out of your back as you doze in and out. “n’no more cryin’ unless you wanna make it worse.” he mutters, but you’re too sleepy to hear.

So I'm pretty proud of this one. I started pole dancing toward the end of last year and fell in love with it, and for the last 6 months I've been attending classes like half a dozen times a week or more. I prepped as hard as I could for this but alas my body had other ideas and threw a chest infection at me, so I had to cut the routine down a bit toward the end cos I.. stopped.. breathing - silver lining is i have moves prepared I can slot into whatever routine I do next though! 😅🖤

Super many all the forever thanks to @junieee_95 for organising the whole showcase and killing herself doing it and so proud of literally every beautiful soul that performed, it was one of the most magical joyous nights I can ever remember 💋🖤
