When a fandom is small, usually I don't mind seeing other OC ships with my favorite characters! (pls I need more Needy Streamer Overload content) But in the past few years I've seen my friends get harassed by other yumes/selfshippers with the same oshi as them and ever since then I've been more careful with whom I interact with.

I heard that DL has a big problem with jealous selfshippers attacking others. Please don't take it personally if I don't feel comfortable interacting with non-sharing yumes (of any diaboy) or other Tsukinami x OC shippers. I tend to block them because I've had my own bad experiences dealing with harassment in the past of other jealous non-sharing yumes.

Usually, I don't judge too early, and I do have friends who are respectful non-sharing yumes or doubles, but as soon as I get bad vibes from someone, I avoid them.

This is also another reason why I limit interactions with fandoms or stopped entirely like disabling DMs and my ask box (it has been disabled since last year). Mutuals and friends are always free to talk to me though!

Will I enable them again? That's unknown. For now, I just want to have fun and keep interactions with non-mutuals to a minimum.

 ִֶָ ᯽ .ﾟBEHIND THE NAME. ❝ bloomis ❞ was technically meant to be blooming originally, but for a group called blue rose, they wanted a fandom name that was unique in some sorts. along with " blooming " being the original fandom name contender, " floresce " was a very popular one rising in early 2016, it became the placeholder fandom name for so long until it's actual announcement. eventually, the fandom name was announced to be " bloomis " on the groups 100th day anniversary, the word is a mix of " blooming " and " bliss ", making the groups fandom name " blooming bliss ". though some of the fandom were (and are) still very attached to the name " floresce ", they have come to accept the new fandom name and it's become such a relaxing name for them.

 ִֶָ ᯽ .ﾟOTHER NAMES. ˚ ꒦꒷ ❝ emo weirdos ❞ ୨୧ from one of cupid's unhinged early livestreams, where he was playing music in the background and began asking fans for suggestions. among the requests, one fan suggested a bring me to the horizon song, to which cupid joked that they were "an emo weirdo", even though he did proceed to play the song and know all the words. he originally got flack for feeling so comfortable joking with his fans, but the name has since been adopted by bloomis' everywhere. ˚ ꒦꒷ ❝ crazy fuckers ❞ ୨୧ from the time dione found out that a group of fans had designed a clothing line for them back in late 2016, and he promptly called them "crazy fuckers" in his fit of shock. considering he had no media training, he could not avoid swearing for the rest of the live. ˚ ꒦꒷ ❝ anemones ❞ ୨୧ derived from the name of their debut album, and considering that anemones in general mean a lot to the groups lore, fans have taken a very specific liking to the flower. it's basically their semi-official fandom name.

 ִֶָ ᯽ .ﾟREPUTATION. among other fandoms, bloomis are known for their "eldest sibling syndrome" and "sibling rivalry" type of love towards each other. most bloomis' have been fans since the early days, quite literally at the groups side since their day of debut. because a lot of bloomis are up in age, they usually don't have free time to endlessly stream, vote on music shows, constantly watching live streams, running fan accounts, etc, but the group mainly having older fans also adds to the homely feeling of it all. most original bloomis are very close to the members in age, and because of that, they bounce off each other rather smoothly. they often engage in banter with the members so seamlessly it's hilarious, they really do just get along so easily.

if there is anything bloomis are, it's concertgoers. they will sell out a fucking stadium the moment blue roses name is uttered, this fandom loves a long concert. bloomis are very social with each other, they often have concert traditions and inner inside jokes that are simply between the fandom. they exchange friendship bracelets, rings, and other jewelry, as well as also designing their own merch for the group, for some reason, a lot of the fandom happen to be crocheting professionals who study fashion, so many of them create designs, and some of them are even in the groups official merch. the fandom are very known for their own closeness to each other, igniting the whole "sibling rivalry" trope with how much bickering is between them.

though bloomis are usually known for being calm fanwar wise (because lets be honest most of them have jobs and careers to worry about..), they do not play when it comes to "comedic" interviewers and their way of talking about the members. they once forced a comedian to resign and apologize after he made yunseok tear up because he was teasing him out his appearance. just so you know, they do not play about the members. the fandom has a very large queer demographic, because something about blue rose (juniper and ceres) attracts gay people, and maybe that's their theme, because the members don't seem to mind. bloomis always say things are.. out of pocket you could describe them as. like the members, they aren't afraid to say things that could be used terribly out of context, they're said to have a "swearing problem".

bloomis and blue rose have a close bond, again calling back to most of the longtime fans being in the same age range as the members, they bicker so frequently that you'd think they were actually fighting. it's almost always juniper they pick a fight with, because he is just so easy to irritate. it gets to the point that the members recognize familiar faces in the crowd, and always pretend to roll their eyes when they again see them at fansigns. bloomis usually don't care about dating rumors, in fact they want for the members to get into rumors with someone because their music is so sad. they're simply waiting for one of the members get exposed by dispatch, and they always make sure to bring it up to even the members themselves. they literally cheer when the next rumor pops up, they're tired of the yearning tunes.

 ִֶָ ᯽ .ﾟFANDOM FRIENDSHIPS. soda bombs ❪ cherryade ❫ exol ❪ exo ❫ once ❪ twice ❫

 ִֶָ ᯽ .ﾟANTHEMS. ˚ ꒦꒷ ❝ marigold ❞ ୨୧ their song marigold is about balance and melancholy, a soft song describing the true feelings of sadness. it has since been a fan favorite since it's release in 2017, and though the group rarely perform it regularly, it is always a tradition for them to sing it last at concerts or on tour apart of the encore. the song is basically their theme, it comes to represent their journey in a sense, it always makes people cry. ˚ ꒦꒷ ❝ black flower ❞ ୨୧ the opening track on lover of the lavender, this song is one of their most beloved title tracks, even if it recently had a viral boom back in 2022. it became an anthem because of dione randomly deciding to sing it during a livestream, unknowingly making one of their old title tracks go viral. ˚ ꒦꒷ ❝ here we go ❞ ୨୧ the closing track on 1275 iris avenue, and arguably the most "not blue rose song ever". it's a song that, admittedly, was created last minute, the members sat in a circle and cooked it up with only a week of preparation allowed. the reason the song is so beloved is because of the members participation, though all six of them have written songs together before, producing and arranging lyrical distributions was a whole different story. the song is often said to be their only upbeat one, and whenever a bloomis is tired of the depression, they just put on here we go to cheer themselves up.

 ִֶָ ᯽ .ﾟFAVORITE ALBUMS. ˚ ꒦꒷ ❝ the field of lost anemones ❞ ୨୧ this one is a classic, the groups debut album released in the brusising february winter. this album was peak blue rose sadness, the beginning of their melancholic journey. are there vocally and visually better albums of theirs? yes, of course, but bloomis hold onto it like it's their firstborn. the vibes are simply different. it's basically the groups baby as well. ˚ ꒦꒷ ❝ 1275 iris avenue ❞ ୨୧ arguably their best album, both vocally, visually, and musically, 1275 iris avenue is a bloomis classic that dropped randomly in the chaotic year which was 2020. it was a surprise album, and strangely enough, it was one of their least promoted, yet it is often considered their best either way. the album would go on to win three daesangs, and there is no argument for the love of this project.

 ִֶָ ᯽ .ﾟFAVORITE TITLE TRACKS. ˚ ꒦꒷ ❝ flower rock ❞ ୨୧ again, the classic. their first title track, and often always in the top 5 of bloomis' rankings. the air in their first era was undeniably different, and flower bed as their first title track seemed to perfectly fit the bruising winter of february 2016. even with hard rock instrumental, it perfectly encapsulates the melancholic experiences of their first album. ˚ ꒦꒷ ❝ now or never ❞ ୨୧ the title track of 1275 iris avenue, it's always in discussion for being the groups best title track. it's the groups most streamed title track, beloved by bloomis' everywhere like the album it's from. now or never isn't considered the fandoms theme song, but it's considered to be the blue rose song. it's pretty much untouchable.

ℒ. a niche subsection of bloomis' being older in age due to blue rose's musical concept emanating concepts similar to late 90s and early 2000s rock bands. these fans are often referred to as the "45 year old rock dads". there's a running joke that if you're looking for an older man, you'll probably find one at a blue rose concert.

ℒ. bloomis and their desperation for the members to get into relationships. constantly complaining on twitter about the songs they sing about toxic relationships. they are BEGGING for the members to get into relationships.

ℒ. bloomis' trending #OHHESFINE when dione's relationship was revealed.

ℒ. a group of bloomis' literally getting a sasaeng arrested after they doxxed yunseok's family online.

ℒ. trading necklaces, rings, bracelets, and other accessories during concerts to make the experience much more fun.

ℒ. a bloomis who brought her child to a fansign became a fan favorite of hyeon's after he got to hold her and she basically said he was her favorite. recently the fan reunited with the idol, and her daughter, now in her final year of elementary school, recognized hyeon's face, making him get very emotional.

ℒ. a quarrel between a fan and ceres went viral after they spent twenty minutes at a fansign bickering about the ending of how i met your mother.

ℒ. getting a comedian fired because he kept making fun of yunseok and made him tear up on tv.

i make houseki no kuni aus for almost all of my favourite fandoms, so it just had to happen sooner or later....🥀🥀🥀

so. i didn't think too much on it but some things came to my mind anyways

first of all, ed OBVIOUSLY must be a librarian, i didn't think about it even for a sec. and also it is kinda shameful for him to sit in a library with his pretty good hardness. but i think he could be interested in lunarians technologies or so, and maybe invent some sort of bows like they use so less hard gems will be able to fight from a long distance.

oz was a good fighter, but got shot in the leg so it shattered so bad gems couldn't repair it with his own pieces. then they used other gem pieces to fix it, but his inclusions didn't work very well so new parts remained estranged in his body. because of it, he could not fight anymore and stayed indoors doing chores.

and in these circumstances, two of them started to communicate more closely — oz got interested in lunarians' mysteries, and ed wanted to help him keep fighting

Reflecting On My 2024 Fics 💕✨

When this year started, I hadn’t published a fanfic in well over 5 or 6 years. By the end of the year, I’d published 7, including 3 one shots, 3 completed multi chapter fics, and 1 in-progress multi chapter fic (that I admittedly haven’t touched in a while, oops). I also organized my first ever fic exchange this year! I loved being able to bring people together to share stories with each other and am so glad I stepped out of my comfort zone by hosting an exchange, so much so that I hosted another one later in the year!

I’m not the best or most prolific writer here - not by a long shot - but I’m pretty happy with what I’ve done and am so grateful for this community’s response to my works! In honor of that, here’s a little reflection on what I’ve written this year :)

Breaking Down 🥀

My first fic in 7 years, first ever Just Dance fic, and first fic on AO3! The start of my tendency towards Jack Rose angst! Based on a Florence + The Machine song! This is a short one shot that I wrote in a very stream of consciousness manner. It’s not exactly my best work, but it holds a special place in my heart for all the milestones it represented for me.

Oh, Lose Yourself, where do I even begin with you? This fic genuinely changed my year, all for the better. I was absolutely terrified to post this. I was new to the fandom, publishing a fic amongst so many other incredible works by incredible writers, and to top it all off, it was my very first time publishing a ship fic. It was also my first time publishing a series. I had debilitating anxiety for days because I was scared to publish actual ship content. The response to this fic was absolutely incredible and I am still so, so grateful to everyone who read it and left feedback. This series was also the first time I ever received artwork for any fic I’d written. Genuinely, this was sort of a life changing experience for me, as silly as it may seem.

Close to Post-Mortem 🥀

Part two of the Lose Yourself series and my second (and much darker) foray into the world of Jack Rose angst, as well as my first time really getting to write Night Swan. This is the fic that made me realize how much I love writing the dynamic between Jack and Night Swan, and just writing Night Swan in general. While generally the least popular of the Lose Yourself series and probably my third favorite (not that I don’t like it, I just like the other two better), this fic is special to me for showing me how much fun I have writing angst and how much I love writing these characters. Also, it’s the first instance of my personal favorite AO3 tag of mine- “turning people into terrifying mind controlled bird minions left right and center,” which gets it a ton of bonus points in my book.

Fail Me Not ✨

This fic is so special to me. It closes out the initial Lose Yourself trilogy (because I decided that I want to continue the story through Dance With the Swan and hope to do so one day) and represents the first time I actually finished a fic series (technically not because there’s more to come but I finished the original plan so I’m counting it). The feedback I received for this fic was so kind and I’m so grateful for everyone who left a comment at any point in this series. I’m really proud of the Lose Yourself series and am so happy that so many people liked it!

To Form A New Dynasty 👑

This novella (never intended for it to have that high of a word count - it was supposed to be a simple one shot) is one of my favorite things I’ve ever written. I had so much fun coming up with the lore of this version of the Danceverses and exploring this dynamic. I loved writing Night Swan and her dynamic with Jack and writing Si’Ha and writing Jack and Wander in this new dynamic and wow I just really enjoyed writing this fic, as stressed as I was about the ridiculously high word count at the time. @frostyblustar’s prompt allowed me to write something I never would have thought of otherwise, and I loved working on it so much! This was also my first time hosting a fic exchange and I’m so happy with how it went and the incredible fics that came of it! Hosting this exchange was a great time and I’m so glad that so many people participated and had a great time!

The Wrong World ✨

I published the first chapter of this fic shortly before a bunch of things in my personal life erupted into chaos, and it kind of got pushed to the side and more or less forgotten, but I am working on getting back to this fic! This is probably the most comments I’ve ever gotten on a single chapter of a fic and the support for it was overwhelming. I really do love the story I’m telling and am excited to work on it more. This one is special to me, even if it’s been neglected for a while. This is my first non-Lose Yourself series multi chapter fic and I was so happy to know that people were excited about it. Thank you, everyone, for your support on this fic- I promise you that more is coming in the new year!

Gather Near To Us 🎄

Despite being the calmest and fluffiest of all the fics I wrote this year, this one was somehow the most stressful. I agonized over this one and finished it with about eight minutes to spare… yeah, it was rough. Considering I’m not used to writing fluff, I’m not too unhappy with how it turned out, but I wish I’d been able to give it the time and energy it deserved without being distracted by a lot of craziness in my life. Without the adorable prompt from @doodling-doodle, I wouldn’t have stepped out of my comfort zone and tried writing fluff, so I’m very grateful that I had the opportunity to challenge myself with something new. This was also my second time organizing a fic exchange and I’m genuinely so happy to know how many people love these exchanges! I hope to organize more in the new year!

What’s Next…

I can’t promise when anything I’m working on will be completed and ready to publish, but I’m slowly but surely working on…

I've never celebrated wdyw's birthday before, but I think I really should! Wdyw is my magnum opus, my prized fanfic that launched me into this fandom as not just an enjoyer lurking in the shadows, but as a true fandom figurehead (in my corner of the internet at least).

The fic garnered so much support and helped bring the frans community together to rally behind something during the pandemic of all things.

Not only that, but I've began revising it to help it withstand my constantly growing/improving writing style.

What I write I'll be writing "monster/creature x reader" stories. In some cases I might name the characters, but there'll be explainable reasons for this, otherwise I'll keep everyone "nameless" just like in most fairy tales. I plan to bring stories with elves, merfolk, mutants, aliens, forest creatures, mythological beings and others. I also want to write for non specified creatures. Though I don't write extreme/explicit content, the characters are always adult in my stories unless I specify them differently, so my content are primarily directed to adults

What I don't write Just like in my fanfiction content, I won't write noncon, underage, extremely dark content and explicit stuff. I also won't write for werewolves, vampires and zombies, specifically. I know they're very popular in fantasy and that writing for them might help to attract a greater number of people, but I just don't want to create content with them, and I'm not worried about gaining "fame". I just want to have fun. Also, that doesn't mean I won't write about creatures that resemble them 😉

Gender and pronouns I'll be writing all female reader x male or genderless creature. This is the only dynamics I'm able to write, for I work from my particular perspective. In the case of creatures with no specified gender, I'll be using "they/them", otherwise it'll always be "he/him". If you're not okay with this, don't send hate. Just seek for writers who create content that align with your preferences. There's space for everyone 😉

Warnings and triggers Just like in my fanfics, my stories are generally SFW, but I use to include steamy content and non explicit sex, as well as mentions of violence. I use warnings in all my stories, but in case you spot something that should appear in the warning content section, don't hesitate in telling me so. I'm not perfect and I might miss some things 🥴

About the word monsterf- and how I'll tag my stories I won't use this word to tag my content, but I'm totally okay if you want to classify my work as such. I'm new to this world and Idk if this is a sensitive topic among the community, but my personal opinion is that it sounds pejorative, and I see people laughing at its use. I don't approve laughing at this type of content, of course, but I'd rather use other terms like "monster love" and "monster romance", even though they don't have the same reach and impact

Asks and requests I'm accepting asks, including anon ones, and I'm open to new ideas for stories, but I won't be taking requests for headcanons for now due to my little time (besides irl responsibilities I have my fanfic content, so...). I've been quietly posting things here and there but haven't really introduced myself so far. Figured I should finally get to that.

Hi, hello. My name is Johanna Flowers, the latter being a direct reference to Ramona Flowers, because like her I love dyeing my hair flashy colours.

I've actually been on tumblr for well over 10 years by now (believe it or not, I am 30 years old and have really witnessed the good old angsty emo times of it) but I've been on a very long break. My old blog I have - to my heartfelt regret - deleted in a 2018 fit of not wanting to be part of said angsty emos any more. I'd probably cringe were I able to look at it today but at the same time I'd love to see teenage me's interests and ideas.

Anyway, I digress.

I've come back here last year because I am utterly exhausted with all other social medias I've been using (which weren't many to begin with but still managed to give me a burnout) and had an urge for the good old days I've experienced here. Plus I needed somewhere to put my writing.

As I'm (again) becoming more serious with wanting to finally finish writing a novel and feel in dire need of a community to share ideas and thoughts and questions with, I want to be more active on here again.

I'm gonna try and focus mainly on writing. Currently working on a couple of long form things, but so far only one is worth mentioning. A story I've been working on and off for about eight years, working-titled Curse the Dreamless. It's a mystery story filled with magic, love, betrayal and a good old curse.

I also enjoy writing short stories or one shots every now and again to keep my brain active and inspired.

I am generally a big fan of fantasy, everything Victorian/Edwardian set, pirates and sail ships, I love mysteries, magic and darker narratives and I am dead set on writing something on Atlantis one day because the myth has my brain in a choke hold ever since I first watched the disney atlantis movie as a wee 8-year-old. I usually write original fiction in the form of prose, but might slip poetry, song lyrics or even fanfics into the mix if I feel like it.
