ぅ( FILE FIVE ) ## FACTUAL INFORMATION
001 ▬▬ chaiya's personal account is basically a dumping ground for the random stuff in his camera roll. it's amazing how much he doesn't post himself, it's always pictures of the other members, or his puppy, or literally anything but a selca.
002 ▬▬ chaiya adopted a golden retriever named sarai in 2022 and that is literally his daughter. his emotional attachment to her is insane, she's basically the star of his instagram account.
003 ▬▬ chaiya is deathly allergic to dairy, he proclaims that it's the "worst thing about him". he found out for the first time when he ate ice cream and had a near death experience. he now has a terrible attachment to dairy free products.
004 ▬▬ chaiya is the member with the most consisting dating rumors, but especially with other male idols. the company has forbidden him from commenting on his own rumors because whenever he does he just makes his situation worse.
005 ▬▬ chaiya's cooking is okay. he can't make eight course meals like yohan, hwan or kiro but he's not half bad, he's practically keeping haneul alive.
006 ▬▬ he has a collection of souvenirs from every single place he's traveled to. he usually travels to other countries to collect souvenirs and eat the food, maybe pick up some recipes. as of 2024, he has souvenirs from taiwan, singapore, sweden, and greece.
007 ▬▬ it's become a whole inside joke that louvix audio isn't paying him correctly because he always gets caught with odd side jobs in between comebacks. the funniest instance of this is when a fan went to a cafe and he was their barista. the inside joke is so well known that the company themself had to release a statement, but most people don't take anything they say seriously.
008 ▬▬ his newest interest is photography, he often goes to photo exhibits to admire them whenever the group has even a sliver of a break. his partner has a huge interest in photography and he picked it up after them.
009 ▬▬ the reason netizens usually have problems with him is because of his, and i quote, "clear lack of media training". sometimes it's funny because he swears once in a livestream and they throw a hissy fit. he often says things that are out of line, constantly getting in trouble for the insurmountable dick jokes he can't resist making.
010 ▬▬ chaiya will fight for meliora. he'll literally bruise his knuckles for the members he doesn't care. he will square up with any meliora anti, because even though the members usually give him shit, he still won't let any bad talk step aside.

and i won't forget to put roses on your grave
ִֶָ ᯽ .゚ you look A LOT LiKE the swaying MARiGOLDS ❀ ✎ . . introducing the fandom
ִֶָ ᯽ .゚FANDOM NAME. BLOOMIS ִֶָ ᯽ .゚HANGUL. 블루미스 ִֶָ ᯽ .゚KANJI. ブルーミス
ִֶָ ᯽ .゚BEHIND THE NAME. ❝ bloomis ❞ was technically meant to be blooming originally, but for a group called blue rose, they wanted a fandom name that was unique in some sorts. along with " blooming " being the original fandom name contender, " floresce " was a very popular one rising in early 2016, it became the placeholder fandom name for so long until it's actual announcement. eventually, the fandom name was announced to be " bloomis " on the groups 100th day anniversary, the word is a mix of " blooming " and " bliss ", making the groups fandom name " blooming bliss ". though some of the fandom were (and are) still very attached to the name " floresce ", they have come to accept the new fandom name and it's become such a relaxing name for them.
ִֶָ ᯽ .゚OTHER NAMES. ˚ ꒦꒷ ❝ emo weirdos ❞ ୨୧ from one of cupid's unhinged early livestreams, where he was playing music in the background and began asking fans for suggestions. among the requests, one fan suggested a bring me to the horizon song, to which cupid joked that they were "an emo weirdo", even though he did proceed to play the song and know all the words. he originally got flack for feeling so comfortable joking with his fans, but the name has since been adopted by bloomis' everywhere. ˚ ꒦꒷ ❝ crazy fuckers ❞ ୨୧ from the time dione found out that a group of fans had designed a clothing line for them back in late 2016, and he promptly called them "crazy fuckers" in his fit of shock. considering he had no media training, he could not avoid swearing for the rest of the live. ˚ ꒦꒷ ❝ anemones ❞ ୨୧ derived from the name of their debut album, and considering that anemones in general mean a lot to the groups lore, fans have taken a very specific liking to the flower. it's basically their semi-official fandom name.
ִֶָ ᯽ .゚NICKNAMES THEY HAVE GARNERED. flower fiends. blueberry blossoms. anemones. hot chocolate warriors. strange little creatures. honey bees (on occasions). pirate crew. yearning professionals. 45 year old rock dads. flora. sadness 24/7. gay sons and thought daughters. endless ceres worshippers. skittles squad (debatable).
ִֶָ ᯽ .゚FANDOM EMOJIS. 🌼 / 🌀 / 🃏 / 🧿
˚ ꒦꒷ ❝ 8–13 years old ❞ ୨୧ 1% ˚ ꒦꒷ ❝ 14–18 years old ❞ ୨୧ 30% ˚ ꒦꒷ ❝ 19–30 years old ❞ ୨୧ 47% ˚ ꒦꒷ ❝ 31–60 years old ❞ ୨୧ 15% ˚ ꒦꒷ ❝ 60+ years old ❞ ୨୧ 7%
ִֶָ ᯽ .゚REPUTATION. among other fandoms, bloomis are known for their "eldest sibling syndrome" and "sibling rivalry" type of love towards each other. most bloomis' have been fans since the early days, quite literally at the groups side since their day of debut. because a lot of bloomis are up in age, they usually don't have free time to endlessly stream, vote on music shows, constantly watching live streams, running fan accounts, etc, but the group mainly having older fans also adds to the homely feeling of it all. most original bloomis are very close to the members in age, and because of that, they bounce off each other rather smoothly. they often engage in banter with the members so seamlessly it's hilarious, they really do just get along so easily.
if there is anything bloomis are, it's concertgoers. they will sell out a fucking stadium the moment blue roses name is uttered, this fandom loves a long concert. bloomis are very social with each other, they often have concert traditions and inner inside jokes that are simply between the fandom. they exchange friendship bracelets, rings, and other jewelry, as well as also designing their own merch for the group, for some reason, a lot of the fandom happen to be crocheting professionals who study fashion, so many of them create designs, and some of them are even in the groups official merch. the fandom are very known for their own closeness to each other, igniting the whole "sibling rivalry" trope with how much bickering is between them.
though bloomis are usually known for being calm fanwar wise (because lets be honest most of them have jobs and careers to worry about..), they do not play when it comes to "comedic" interviewers and their way of talking about the members. they once forced a comedian to resign and apologize after he made yunseok tear up because he was teasing him out his appearance. just so you know, they do not play about the members. the fandom has a very large queer demographic, because something about blue rose (juniper and ceres) attracts gay people, and maybe that's their theme, because the members don't seem to mind. bloomis always say things are.. out of pocket you could describe them as. like the members, they aren't afraid to say things that could be used terribly out of context, they're said to have a "swearing problem".
bloomis and blue rose have a close bond, again calling back to most of the longtime fans being in the same age range as the members, they bicker so frequently that you'd think they were actually fighting. it's almost always juniper they pick a fight with, because he is just so easy to irritate. it gets to the point that the members recognize familiar faces in the crowd, and always pretend to roll their eyes when they again see them at fansigns. bloomis usually don't care about dating rumors, in fact they want for the members to get into rumors with someone because their music is so sad. they're simply waiting for one of the members get exposed by dispatch, and they always make sure to bring it up to even the members themselves. they literally cheer when the next rumor pops up, they're tired of the yearning tunes.
ִֶָ ᯽ .゚FANDOM FRIENDSHIPS. soda bombs ❪ cherryade ❫ exol ❪ exo ❫ once ❪ twice ❫
ִֶָ ᯽ .゚ANTHEMS. ˚ ꒦꒷ ❝ marigold ❞ ୨୧ their song marigold is about balance and melancholy, a soft song describing the true feelings of sadness. it has since been a fan favorite since it's release in 2017, and though the group rarely perform it regularly, it is always a tradition for them to sing it last at concerts or on tour apart of the encore. the song is basically their theme, it comes to represent their journey in a sense, it always makes people cry. ˚ ꒦꒷ ❝ black flower ❞ ୨୧ the opening track on lover of the lavender, this song is one of their most beloved title tracks, even if it recently had a viral boom back in 2022. it became an anthem because of dione randomly deciding to sing it during a livestream, unknowingly making one of their old title tracks go viral. ˚ ꒦꒷ ❝ here we go ❞ ୨୧ the closing track on 1275 iris avenue, and arguably the most "not blue rose song ever". it's a song that, admittedly, was created last minute, the members sat in a circle and cooked it up with only a week of preparation allowed. the reason the song is so beloved is because of the members participation, though all six of them have written songs together before, producing and arranging lyrical distributions was a whole different story. the song is often said to be their only upbeat one, and whenever a bloomis is tired of the depression, they just put on here we go to cheer themselves up.
ִֶָ ᯽ .゚FAVORITE ALBUMS. ˚ ꒦꒷ ❝ the field of lost anemones ❞ ୨୧ this one is a classic, the groups debut album released in the brusising february winter. this album was peak blue rose sadness, the beginning of their melancholic journey. are there vocally and visually better albums of theirs? yes, of course, but bloomis hold onto it like it's their firstborn. the vibes are simply different. it's basically the groups baby as well. ˚ ꒦꒷ ❝ 1275 iris avenue ❞ ୨୧ arguably their best album, both vocally, visually, and musically, 1275 iris avenue is a bloomis classic that dropped randomly in the chaotic year which was 2020. it was a surprise album, and strangely enough, it was one of their least promoted, yet it is often considered their best either way. the album would go on to win three daesangs, and there is no argument for the love of this project.
ִֶָ ᯽ .゚FAVORITE TITLE TRACKS. ˚ ꒦꒷ ❝ flower rock ❞ ୨୧ again, the classic. their first title track, and often always in the top 5 of bloomis' rankings. the air in their first era was undeniably different, and flower bed as their first title track seemed to perfectly fit the bruising winter of february 2016. even with hard rock instrumental, it perfectly encapsulates the melancholic experiences of their first album. ˚ ꒦꒷ ❝ now or never ❞ ୨୧ the title track of 1275 iris avenue, it's always in discussion for being the groups best title track. it's the groups most streamed title track, beloved by bloomis' everywhere like the album it's from. now or never isn't considered the fandoms theme song, but it's considered to be the blue rose song. it's pretty much untouchable.
ִֶָ ᯽ .゚FIRST BIAS. yunseok cupid / juniper / hyeon / ceres / dione
ִֶָ ᯽ .゚MOST POPULAR IN KOREA. yunseok ceres / juniper / cupid / hyeon / dione
ִֶָ ᯽ .゚MOST POPULAR IN JAPAN. juniper ceres / dione / yunseok / hyeon / cupid
ִֶָ ᯽ .゚MOST POPULAR IN CHINA. ceres yunseok / juniper / cupid / hyeon / dione
ִֶָ ᯽ .゚MOST POPULAR INTERNATIONALLY. ceres juniper / yunseok / hyeon / cupid / dione
ִֶָ ᯽ .゚MOST POPULAR OVERALL. ceres yunseok / juniper / cupid / dione / hyeon
ִֶָ ᯽ .゚FAVORITE BLOOMIS MOMENTS.
ℒ. when a bloomis discovered that she and cupid were distant cousins after they were attending a wedding together. hilariously enough, she was continuously updating her twitter feed in tandem.
ℒ. a bloomis shared their design for the groups upcoming album "no man no love" and it was viewed by dione who loved it so much he contacted the creator to make it a real thing. the creator agreed and they earned 75% of the proceeds while another 25% went to a charity for victims of domestic violence.
ℒ. a niche subsection of bloomis' being older in age due to blue rose's musical concept emanating concepts similar to late 90s and early 2000s rock bands. these fans are often referred to as the "45 year old rock dads". there's a running joke that if you're looking for an older man, you'll probably find one at a blue rose concert.
ℒ. bloomis and their desperation for the members to get into relationships. constantly complaining on twitter about the songs they sing about toxic relationships. they are BEGGING for the members to get into relationships.
ℒ. bloomis' trending #OHHESFINE when dione's relationship was revealed.
ℒ. a group of bloomis' literally getting a sasaeng arrested after they doxxed yunseok's family online.
ℒ. trading necklaces, rings, bracelets, and other accessories during concerts to make the experience much more fun.
ℒ. a bloomis who brought her child to a fansign became a fan favorite of hyeon's after he got to hold her and she basically said he was her favorite. recently the fan reunited with the idol, and her daughter, now in her final year of elementary school, recognized hyeon's face, making him get very emotional.
ℒ. a quarrel between a fan and ceres went viral after they spent twenty minutes at a fansign bickering about the ending of how i met your mother.
ℒ. getting a comedian fired because he kept making fun of yunseok and made him tear up on tv.
ℒ. where a bloomis brought a gift for cupid, who was a fan of her dad's rock band, and he said "no the fuck you didn't!"

14 for mars and junghwa ^^
14. who do you get along with best ?
🪐 answering !!
"vivi," she says after a moment's pause, "i'd say i get along with vivi the best." mars looks at the member in question, nervously fidgeting with her rings as she thinks about her next words. mars was never one for talking about herself and such a personal question has her a bit flustered. "uh well, vivi and i were the first two trainees CLOUD started training, so it was just us for a while before the others came along. " she continued. "back then, I still wasn't sure i wanted to become an idol. i was content with writing demos and i almost became a composer instead but.. watching vivi train so hard, train so diligently, i.. i wanted to shine as brightly as she did. ah, I sound a bit corny don't i?" her ears become noticeably pink, which she covers as soon as her members begin to playfully tease her. vivi's face is also a bit red as she chuckles softly at mars’ embarrassed comment. it wouldn't be hard to guess that she felt similarly about mars. mars hadn't talked much about her pre-debut experience until now, it was nice to hear it from her instead of a story another member told for once. “we spent a lot of time together. when things got hard, the person i would talk to was vivi. she was always there for me and i was always there for her. i don't know if i'd be in son!c if it wasn't for her, she really inspired me. she gave me the strength to be the leader our team needed, and I'll always be thankful to her for that."

🐺 answering !!
! small references to past mistreatment
"which member? well, it would be hard to pick one member only. the members i am closest with would be romeo and hyunwoo. as the eldest members, i feel as if we took the responsibility for our team very early on." he had a hard to read expression as he spoke, like a mixture of fondness and.. something else that seemed more strained. "it was.. a lot leading up to debut, and our early days were difficult. i've worked hard to take care of my members. romeo took care of me and made sure i was looking out for myself as well, hyunwoo made sure everything went to plan and kept everyone focused. they lifted some of that stress off my shoulders, and i can't be more grateful for that." junghwa let out a small sigh, letting out a breath he didn't realize he was holding. he didn't often talk about the early days of their career due to what happened with their ex-manager; still, there was a sense of sentiment connected with those days. "we spend a lot of time together, all of us. when i am not working on our next song, us three will often go to our favorite cafe to relax together. i feel truly supported and content when i'm with them, i don't feel like i have to go through things alone when i'm with them." a wide smile spread as he spoke, looking over at romeo and hyunwoo with such a affectionate gaze. after a moment of the members giggling at how red hyunwoo had gotten from junghwa's words, he continued. "i really admire them, i don't think i could express it with simple words. i hope we continue to grow as a team and form lovely memories together."

Comic Club ( Hangul : 코믹 클럽 ), is a fictional thirteen-member boy group under I-Teen Media which consists of the members divided into three active sub-units to promote in. They made their official debut on September 19, 2024, with the mini album MARMORIS.
On February 25, 2024, Mnet announced the release of a new survival show, I-Star (Idol Stars), a sequel to their previous survival show, I-Doll, which had 70 female trainees compete for a chance to debut in a thirteen-member lineup. I-Star had the same premise but made 53 male trainees compete to debut in a boy group with a thirteen-member lineup, which was chosen by viewers all around the globe. The final lineup is a very controversial topic due to the many investigations of alleged sabotage between the contestants and eliminated I-Star members have claimed they experienced broken microphones, ripped outfits, or even blackmail, though nothing has been confirmed or denied.
Despite the controversies, Comic Club won over the hearts of viewers with their superhero concept. They live on a fictional earth called MARMORIS, and each subunit has its own storyline, with the members being classified into roles and representing different superpowers. Their debut song, We Can Be Heroes (Superhuman), debuted with 23 million views within the first day of release and charted #3 on the Gaon Digital Chart a week after release. With the success of their debut and interesting concept, Comic Club has a lot of people tuned in to all of their future releases.
Due to the big I-Star scandal, the members are a very controversial topic in the kpop community. Many fans theorize that the sabotage came from some of the members in the final lineup, and some even speculate that the members in the final lineup are still trying to sabotage each other. Despite the criticisms, Comic Club has undeniable talent that draws fans in daily, and their success only seems to keep going up from here.

⠀⠀˚⠀DO YOU WANT A PIECE OF ME?⠀ ┉ ┉ ⠀None of them wanted this. Doyeon has to try and live with it anyway.
INCLUDING ⁺⠀kil doyeon, cherryade ensemble, jaguar staff. TIMESTAMP ⁺⠀NOVEMBER 2022—APRIL 2023. WARNINGS ⁺⠀swearing, (mentions of) fighting, drinking. WORD COUNT ⁺⠀5K NOTE ⁺⠀you don’t even know how much this made me want to end it all near the start.. WE FINALLY DID IT THOUGH! and im rly happy with it!!! i love u kil doyeon
Doyeon knew who JUST4U were.
Who in South Korea didn’t? You knew them even if you had absolutely no desire to. Their fame had stretched to all corners almost inevitably: their features were instantly recognisable, their name rolled off the tongue so easily it was hard to not to get it stuck in your head, and one of their many songs had almost certainly featured in some retail store in every city in every district, at least once. They’d even made it to Doyeon’s dead-end town, a poster of one of the perfume endorsements they’d done plastered on their singular bus stop’s wall. He’d stared them in the face every day while waiting to be picked up, and occasionally he’d daydream about what life must’ve been like in a city so far away.
(Which, retrospectively, was a little dramatic. Seoul was barely two hours away by train. He could’ve made a weekend trip of it, and just never thought to do so. Never thought he’d be allowed to do so).
Anyway. Back then. Bus stop. Daydreams. None of the above compared to how he knew JUST4U now. Now that they were about ten metres away from him (and, as it looked to be, everyone else in the company) right in the middle of the lobby, shouting and swearing at one another, looking nearly on the verge of getting physical.
Na Yeseul, platinum blonde dyed tresses whipping around her shoulders with every vigorous movement of her arms and dark purple lipstick painting every curse word she spat nectarine, raised an arm as if she was going to backhand Choi Insu across the face, before it then dove into her purse. Doyeon stepped a little closer to Daejin, a hand curling loosely around the producer’s forearm.
“You don’t think she’s got a…”
He trailed off, but it was obvious what he was referring to. Of course he didn’t really believe she had a weapon, however small, but the movement was so recognisable from all of the action and gangster movies Jaehee could never stop watching that it got him scared, just for a moment.
Daejin’s gaze of gentle judgement burned into the side of his face, but the dancer still couldn’t stop staring at the ongoing argument. “‘Yun. Be realistic, for a minute.”
Still, despite the light-hearted reality check, the producer also leaned in to nudge Doyeon’s shoulder with his own, and curled his hand up to squeeze the palm grabbing at him. In front of them, Insu let out a loud, unsettling laugh, throwing his head back with it. The scene felt very action-and-gangster-movie-like. Quite exciting, really. The leader’s gaze slid along to where Jaehee was watching wide-eyed, Minhui jumping up and down with both of his hands on his shoulders; looking like he was seconds from choosing a side and cheering them on, and felt a smile grow on his face, before a loud yell of “You cunt!” snatched his attention straight back to the main event.
“What are they even fighting about, anyway?” His words were a murmur, tapping at Daejin’s arm in case he hadn’t been heard. He’d been late to the scene, too busy practising alone, and had only found out there was a scene at all because Hasun had come running in with the news, an excited spark in his eyes that made him look like the child he never really got the chance to be.
In his peripheral vision, he saw the producer shrug. “The reunion interviewer, I think. That’s what I got from Joosun-hyung. He ignored Yeseul-noona. Or maybe made a pass at her? Or did he make a pass at Insu-hyung? It’s sort of a mix-and-match of both those things. Anyway, it started from there, and then it spiralled. You’d think after six years away from one another they would’ve buried the hatchet.”
Doyeon didn’t think any sort of burying was in the forefront of either of their minds. They seemed to be producing more and more hatchets out of thin air with the sole intention of throwing them straight at one another, if anything.
But it couldn’t last forever. Someone would have to step in eventually. Not that anyone seemed particularly keen to do so, at the moment. Even the secretary at the front desk had abandoned her post (where, should she had stayed, she would’ve had a front-row seat that Doyeon almost envied) and was now standing in the doorway used for deliveries, a nail file in her hands that she was paying more attention to than the fight. The CEO seemed like the obvious choice to do the mediating, but as it stood, Ae Seungdae was standing in the prime position—obviously a few metres away, but still right in the middle of the two—and.. Clapping? Fist pumping? Whatever the hand gestures were, they looked to be more of encouragement than attempts to stop the shouting. Doyeon almost admired it.
“Hyung,” a voice came from behind him, and the leader almost jumped out of his skin. Whipping his head around, he was faced with Yijun standing from where he’d been leaning against one of the walls and walking forward, away from where Daejin and Doyeon were. A phone was pressed to his ear, and Doyeon knew eavesdropping was generally looked down upon, but.. It was Yijun. He justified his decision by telling himself it would help him get to know the rapper just a tiny bit better. Or at all, really. His attention was fully diverted from the has-beens for the first time since he’d been dragged down into the lobby, although he kept his eyes facing forward so as not to raise suspicion.
“You’ve gotta get here, like, now! It’s so funny, really.. Yeseul-noona and Insu-hyung are back at it again. Youngshik-hyung looks like he’s about to either burst into tears or start jumping for joy, I can’t decide.”
Whoever he was talking to must’ve declined the offer, because Yijun groaned down the phone, eyes rolling and shoulders slumping. It was the most Doyeon had seen him express an emotion that wasn’t anger (or at least irritation) for more than five seconds. He was reeling.
“Hyeonmin-ah. Hyung. Please? I thought I was your favourite.”
Hyeonmin. The name rang a bell, but he couldn’t remember where from. It didn’t come to him until Yijun had stalked off across the lobby floor, the rest of his conversation lost to the sound of screams and laughter, the general buzz of everyone in the room. Hyeonmin. Oh Hyeonmin. One of Yijun’s old members, like Jaehee. Except he hadn’t made the CHERRYADE cut, for whatever reason.
Doyeon thought of the playful whine in Yijun’s tone. “Hyung.” The disappointment that pulled at his sharp features when he was denied. Huh. It was something to dwell on, to turn over his head for just a little longer.
But for now, seeing as no one was going to stop the once-duo—the duo that he’d longed to know, years and years ago—anytime soon, carrying on watching the fight of the year (in his opinion, anyway) was far closer to the top of his list of priorities. He slumped a little onto Daejin, making the producer hold half of his weight, grinning when he felt the half-hearted glare directed at the side of his face again, and got comfortable.
December hit. Jaehee insisted on buying every tin of hot chocolate powder he set eyes on. Minhui wouldn’t be caught dead without wearing a fluffy coat of some sort. He heard more curses on Yijun’s name then he saw the boy himself. Haeil was putting Baileys in every beverage he drank. Jalen bought himself an advent calendar and, after seeing how much Hasun was eyeing it every morning, bought one for him too. Hasun had cried when he got it, though he’d pretended he wasn’t, and Minhui had cracked up over the sight of it (although his laughter was followed by over-the-top babying, as was any of his interactions with the maknae).
December hit. Doyeon was starting to get worried. Wouldn’t anyone? Eight months since their last comeback, eight months since they’d been on stage, and maybe seven since they’d been out—doing things, promoting things, having fun even if they were exaggerating every laugh for the sake of the camera. Four months since Jalen’s interview, the one he was excited for even if he protested vehemently against that fact, the one where he told the interviewer that they hadn’t heard much on the schedule side of things. Doyeon never thought he’d long for a makeup artist to plaster his cheeks in foundation two shades too light and for the familiar burn of hair dye to singe his roots, but a faint itch was starting to settle under his skin. A want.
One that he probably couldn’t do anything about.
He’d sat with that probably for days, tossing it over and over in his head. Trying to come to terms with it, to accept it as fact, and only getting frustrated when it just wouldn’t settle, refusing to leave. Like something stuck in his throat, a nagging feeling he couldn’t shake.
All that was rational was shaking him by the shoulders, striking him across the cheek, watching the pale skin stain red. Eight months. Maybe even eight months more. And there’s nothing you can do about it. You’ll have to listen to the crying, and the door slamming, and clean the bottles from the kitchen, and forget your card pin because you know your account’s getting emptier, and you’ll just have to shrug your shoulders. What can you do about it? You, of all people?
Everything else was kicking and screaming, his heart tearing itself out of his chest to protest. I don’t want to listen, or clean, or forget. I’ve done enough of that. All of that. I want to do something. I don’t want eight months more—I don’t want one month more, even. I know I can’t do much, but I want to do this. Let me. Let me!
No answer came. And, similarly, no schedules did, either. They’d all noticed, but no one had come to him and brought it up yet. Yijun probably would’ve been the first to make a scene, but.. Well. You knew something was up when you’d been seeing Kil Jiyeol more than your own group member for the past few weeks. So it had stayed stagnant, kicked underneath the carpet, the album cover-shaped elephant in the apartment.
Until Minhui broke first, dragging Haeil along with him. Doyeon paused from where he was rummaging around in the fridge, not turning his head but waiting. Waiting for them to confirm his suspicions out loud, seeing as he hadn’t been able to muster up the courage even when it was only him alone in his bedroom.
“Hyung,” Minhui began. He sounded as blunt as ever, but the lighter edge was gone.
“Minhui-yah,” Doyeon answered, and swallowed around nothing. His hand felt shaky when he came to grip the glass jug full of water. “What is it?”
“You know what it is.”
That he did. He pressed a hand to his forehead, tried to swallow once more and winced when it felt harder this time around, and closed the fridge door. He didn’t turn around. Not yet. “I.. I don’t know what to do. I don’t know—but I want to know, Minhui, I really do. I’m just as happy about this as you are. As any of us are.”
It was then he turned on his heel to face them, to show better than he could ever say how he was feeling. He locked eyes with Minhui first, the dancer perched atop the kitchen island with Haeil slumped into one of the stools beside it. Sitting with his arms and legs crossed, the childlike pose was a stark difference from the expression on his face. They stayed in their stalemate until, surprisingly, Haeil was the one to break it.
“Why don’t you just.. Ask?”
When two pairs of eyes turned to him, he hunched in on himself; shoulders drawing up as if anticipating a slap. “I only mean.. Because, you know. Daejin-hyung, and stuff. You’re close, aren’t you? Or at least Joosun-hyung. He’s been here the longest.”
It made sense. Sort of. They were close, sure, but how much say would a producer have in the grand scheme of things? Most likely not a lot, usually, but.. He may have had a point with Joosun. He had been here the longest, almost since the beginning. Or rather, the beginning of the new JAGUAR. It was admittedly better than nothing, and he stayed quiet for a few seconds more to think it over a little longer.
“I’ll try,” was what he finally decided on, opening his mouth again to get another few words in before they could jump in. “But don’t get your hopes up. Please. I don’t want to..” Let you down. He couldn’t really bring himself to say it, voice trailing off and eyes drifting off to the corridor behind the two instead of meeting either of their eyes.
“I think if anyone could get us some actual work, it’d be you, hyung. But yeah, we won’t expect to be shoved into a recording booth by next week, or anything. Should we tell the others?”
Minhui’s eyes were wider, looking far more alive than they had earlier, awaiting Doyeon’s response. But telling the rest meant there’d be more he’d have to risk letting down, even if Minhui had just told him he’d be fine, with Haeil giving a silent nod of assent beside him. But—no. Not yet. He said as much to the pair before him.
“I’ll tell Jalen. The rest.. Later.” He threw a half-hearted attempt at a joke in afterwards, with a weak laugh to try and make it a little more convincing. “Yijun would have to be here for any of us to tell him. Where even is he these days?”
Haeil rolled his eyes, Minhui snickered to himself, and neither of them answered his question. Doyeon took that as an answer unto itself. Maybe it was better he didn’t know.
The duo left the kitchen not long after that, Haeil out the door with a lighter in one hand and Minhui back to his bedroom, and Doyeon finally turned back to the fridge. He poured himself a glass of water, sat at the island, and stared into nothing for a long, long while; drink untouched, fingertips tapping nearly-silently on the marble. It wasn’t until the sun had set that he finally moved. Mind a little clearer, a sort-of plan set in place, a rough script of what he was going to say to Daejin, and to Joosun, in his head.
A starting point, if nothing else.
The new year came and went. They’d stayed in—most of them, anyway. Minhui had gone to a friend’s, said something about setting off fireworks and playing Dance Dance Revolution, and Hasun had gone home for a week or two, Eunhee coming to pick him up without sparing a second look at any of the rest of them. The remaining five ended up congregating in the living room and sitting in the dark, watching the city from the window. Yijun was glued to his phone in the corner, hiding it from anyone who dared to even try to peek (and, as usual, especially from Jaehee, who almost got a foot to the face for his nosiness). Doyeon turned his own phone off and left it in his room, nestling into a corner of the sofa and pretending not to notice how close Jalen and Haeil were sitting—how their faces almost brushed whenever they turned to whisper something into the other’s ear—while savouring every small sip he took of his Buck’s Fizz, raising an arm for Jaehee to cram himself under after having gotten over his ten minutes spent sulking and recovering from his nearly-injury. It was.. Nice. The nicest the atmosphere had been for a while. A chance for him to put off his impending responsibility for a little while longer.
The deflection didn’t work for much longer. It was his own guilt that gave him the push he needed to get on with it—and maybe Haeil’s empty stares whenever they passed one another in the apartment, saying everything without a single word leaving his lips, helped a little as well. He could be so haunting sometimes, Doyeon hated the chills it gave him.
So there he was, face-to-face with the door of Daejin’s studio. It had felt weird entering the company building after not seeing it for.. Going on four months. He’d taken to renting out studio rooms when he wanted to dance, unsure if he’d be able to stomach entering the practice rooms with the weight of all the things he wasn’t there to do laying heavy on his shoulders the whole time. His hand went for the doorknob, but faltered halfway and he reached to knock instead. A slightly muffled call for him to come in reached his ears, and he slowly pushed the door open.
“What do you—Doyeon! I haven’t seen you since..” He trailed off, and Doyeon didn’t know what he was so apprehensive about filling the gap with. Since the fight. Since you got stuck in a hiatus you didn’t know about. Since you started doing nothing even though you didn’t want to. Whatever it was, Daejin brushed it away with a palm gesturing through the air, putting the unspoken words out of mind. “It’s been a while, that’s all. What’s up?”
“I need to talk to Joosun-hyung about something. Or rather, I need to ask him something. I guess I just wanted to know if you think.. If what I’m doing makes sense.”
Daejin leaned back in his chair, the dark leather creaking with the movement, and spread his arms out either side of him. “Hit me.”
Doyeon did as asked, trying not to feel too stupid while the words spilled out of his mouth. He knew it was something he wanted, something they all wanted, but the embarrassment still made itself present on his cheeks, the nape of his neck heating up uncomfortably underneath his hoodie. Coming from his mouth, it sounded more like a plan a child would come up with and present in a mess of coloured crayons and star stickers than anything else. Still, Daejin listened to every word.
“That.. Actually makes sense. I think you could get somewhere with that, especially if he lets it slip to Jitae first. Good on Haeil-ah for coming up with it!” Daejin praised while Doyeon gulped in lungfuls of air, having spit out everything he’d been mulling over in one single go. “Joosun-hyung’s downstairs on a smoke break—or, he was when I last saw him. Good luck! And tell me how it goes afterwards!”
He dutifully promised the producer he’d do just that, and then left the studio again; head feeling a little cloudy, feet staying stuck to the carpeted corridor as if unsure of where he should head to next. But he was so close he could practically taste it, now, and the split-second memory of Minhui and Haeil staring back at him in the kitchen again was all the encouragement he needed to march to the end of the hallway and shoulder open the fire escape door, descending the stairwell with as much speed as he could muster up; footsteps echoing off the walls all around him.
As he went, he began to idly draft an imaginary script of the conversation he would soon have to have, as if writing a play. Admittedly he’d never been all that good at anything drama-related, but his imagination could get overactive when it wanted to. Nevermind whether he wanted it to or not, of course.
The curtain rises on a dreary January mid-morning, focusing in on two figures outside the JAGUAR company building—the side nearest the cluster of restaurants and taller office blocks that close in on it on most sides. One is smoking, sunglasses over his eyes (despite the lack of sun to protect them from), with unruly hair sticking up all over the place in a clear just-woke-up way rather than anything intentional. The other is pulling alternately at his own fingers and the drawstrings of his hoodie, the hood of which has been pulled hastily over hair with two-month-old roots sprouting from the crown—hair he would rather only be seen by as little people as he could help. There’s nothing but the sound of ash burning until the non-smoker cracks his knuckles once more and breaks the silence.
DOYEON⠀So, er, Joosun-hyung. I wanted to—talk. To you.
JOOSUN (he turns his head, and gives DOYEON a slightly bemused look)⠀Talk, then?
DOYEON⠀Right. Sorry. I don’t know why I.. I think this cold is really freezing my brain.
JOOSUN⠀Wrapping up warmer might help. Aren’t you cold?
DOYEON (unconvincingly)⠀Not at all.
JOOSUN (rolling his eyes)⠀Sure. Hurry up and say what you want to say already.
DOYEON⠀I just wanted to ask if you think—If you would— (he’s floundering, struggling to find the words and continues to for a few moments until a final question bursts out of him) Can you help us have a comeback?
JOOSUN stares. His cigarette falls from his fingers, down to the concrete beneath them. Silence once more. Cars rush by, the two continue to stare, the curtain falls.
By the time he’d reached its end, cold air was hitting his face and the smell of smoke was evident. Doyeon looked up only to find Joosun already staring right at him.
He took another deep inhale, trying to put off the fact it was probably half made-up of second-hand smoke, and straightened his shoulders before starting to speak. It was just a matter of following his own made-up script, was all. Easy.
The curtain has not yet risen again, but words are still heard from behind them. Hesitant, as if he’s choosing them carefully, but words all the same.
JOOSUN (after an extended pause)⠀You’re crazy. And Haeil-ah is too. All of you are, what the fuck? But.. Yeah, ‘Yun, I’ll help you. I’ll see what I can do.
Alcohol, hair dye, dance, and Minhui largely made up the February-March stretch. His birthday was the clearest memory he had of the two-month-long blur, even if that night was arguably the one he drank the most. Everyone was there, in the apartment that had been forcefully made into a home, and he was deciding he’d had enough every five minutes, and someone had dug out a disco ball that was hurting his eyes, and Yijun had taken one disgusted look at his roots and yelled over whatever house remix of something or other that Jiyeol had made Jalen bump up to the top of the queue for him: “Hyung! I’m dying those for you, like, ASAP. It hurts me to look at them,” and Doyeon had nearly burst into tears on the spot. Out of gratitude. Out of shock. Out of too many Mojitos and not enough courage to do it himself.
The dance and Minhui went hand-in-hand. It started when he asked if he could join him on one of his rented studio hours, which was easy enough to agree to, and then before he knew it once a week they were running through all the choreos they knew and making up the ones they didn’t, freestyling to each other’s playlists and collapsing onto one another exhausted after the music had ended. They always grabbed food afterwards, taking turns to pay, and Doyeon felt the most normal he had in.. A while. The routine was comforting, grounding. And most of all, it was fun. He never failed to crack a smile on any of their outings, fondness feeling as it was pouring out of his chest. He supposed he and Minhui were sort of similar, in a way. They had both come from somewhere else alone, built into the seven as the lone once-idols. Granted, Minhui’s old group was far more successful than Slow Motion ever were, but still.
Doyeon had no idea if he had any of the same sort of effect on Minhui—he doubted it, although he held the few times he’d made him crack up laughing close to his heart—but he was glad for him all the same. Glad he’d reached out, even if it was just to try and stop Doyeon from looking so blank all of the time rather than for his own desire for some company.
They never brought up Joosun’s answer, although as soon as he’d rushed back up the company stairwell to tell Daejin of the good news (and stayed there for a while longer for the celebratory jumping around and yelling and then eventual catch-up conversation the producer wanted to have afterwards) the pair that had confronted him first were the second to know as soon as he got back to the apartment. It’d been two months of nothing, after all, and neither wanted to face the fact that the ‘don’t get your hopes up’ message was ringing a little too true.
The other five had been doing fine over the last couple of months also—as far as Doyeon could tell, anyway. Jaehee had started to teach Hasun how to cook, even if he himself was rusty (resulting in a few occasions where the smoke alarm started screeching and, in return, the others started screeching as well), Yijun was back to staying in the apartment most of the time (taking to locking himself in his room whenever someone got on his nerves, rather than booking it out of the front door), and Jalen had slowly got back into his music-making—he’d stopped not too long after the reunion fight and the not-confirmed-but-obvious-hiatus they’d been put on, not stating anything but lack of inspiration as his reason, but Doyeon had always thought it was more than that. Not that he’d ever gone the extra step and asked. He’d had a suspicion that would've only made him clam up more, and that was something he didn’t really want to risk.
All in all, they’d coped. Sort of. It was the best they were going to get at it, anyway. They were creeping up to April, now, and the more he thought about it the more sick he felt. So he of course opted for the far easier option—forgetting all about it. He took the calendar off of the corkboard in the kitchen, replaced it with one of Haeil’s quick sketches he’d found on the back of an old receipt. He danced twice a week, once with Minhui and once without. He took himself to lunch, and Jalen to dinner. He let Jaehee shove a controller into his hands and played whatever gun game he chose until his eyes were blurry and his head ached. Maybe it was madness finally catching up to him, the months upon months of feeling so lifeless finally put to an end. Maybe he just didn’t care. All Doyeon knew was that he hadn’t felt this good since he was being crammed into tacky stage outfits and filmed doing whatever the people behind the camera told him to do for most hours of the day.
On the very first day of April, though, his—all of theirs—new normal was thrown on its head. Just as they’d been finding a rhythm, learning to live with it all. He was woken up by a banging on his bedroom door, sun barely risen enough to spill through the cracks in his curtains.
He flung a hand out to reach for his phone. The screen read 5:42, and Doyeon wanted to die. Stumbling out of bed was only slightly harder than opening his eyes, and by the time he reached the door and yanked it open his vision had gotten a little clearer. Although, when he saw who was on the other side, he had to blink twice to make sure it wasn’t an apparition conjured up in a dream. Or a nightmare, depending on how you looked at it.
It was none other than Hong Jaeyoung was staring back at him for the first time in over a year, eyes flat and disinterested as they’d always been, suit ironed down to the last wrinkle, his lemon yellow tie the only pop of colour about him. Doyeon almost stumbled backwards, mouth opening with no words coming out. Jaeyoung only raised an eyebrow in return.
“Did you not hear me the first time? I said get up. You wanted this, didn’t you? Not gonna be a good look if you all turn up late.”
You wanted this, didn’t you? Did he mean..? No. Surely not. While Doyeon was still floundering, the early morning chill stark against his bare legs, the manager rolled his eyes, half turning on his heel before turning back to confirm his suspicions. His hopes.
“Yes, idiot, you’re getting your jobs back. For now. Maybe not if you’re not in the car by six.”
And with that he was gone, turning to deliver a sharp kick to Jaehee’s door on the way. Doyeon walked out from his doorway and looked down the hallway, Hasun meeting his gaze with similarly wide eyes. Silence lagged on between them before a spark of mischief lit up in the maknae’s eyes.
“I’ll race you, hyung!”
He was taking off full-speed the second the words left his lips, and Doyeon was frozen on the spot. Before—laughter. He just couldn’t stop laughing, shoulders heaving and tears springing to his eyes. Laughter at the suddenness of the news, at Hasun’s antics, at the feeling of the weight of the world finally being shoved off of his shoulders. He felt free, even if really he was about to start being the opposite for the first time in over a year.
Still unable to stop the little giggles from his laughing fit, Doyeon gave chase to Hasun down the corridor, smiling so wide his cheeks hurt. Free. Not really, of course, but.. It was more than good enough for him. For all of them.

. . . why do they ignore this one's existence?
well i can't answer that one, but i can tell you what the albums name means. salva veritate is a latin phrase that means " with unharmed truth ", a frankly fitting name because this album represents a collection of diary entries more than anything. it wasn't expected, and the personal aspects clearly weren't either, but it seemed to an artistic choice..
. . . % four arduous months following the release of their second mini album, salva veritate was released on november twentieth twenty twenty. no prior social media posts, no indication from the members, just released out of nowhere at midnight and allowed to simply fester. funnily enough, the members act like this album just doesn't exist, especially a certain member despite the fact that his name is scrawled over basically every song. it's personal, it's slow, and it was barely promoted, five tracks, an easy snow day listen.
. . . ▸ opening rather soothingly, knock on is basically the songification of the phrase " kicking my feet and giggling ", basically, these men want the subject of this song BAD, so bad that they hope they're writing about them in their diary. once again, it's the product of a yohan-hwan pairing, starting to think they've never gotten over anything in their lives. basically enough, knock on is a love tune, it's about the heartwarming moments before confessions that make you roll around your bed happily, giggling over the basic things such as text messages or simply hearing them talk. honestly? it's cute.
. . . ▸ again yohan penned (his name is all over this thing), light a flame sports the " love is like fire " analogy, though not that intense of a song, it narrates the intensities of love, how it may begin light yet feverishly grows passionately like a fire. all consuming, occasionally overbearing, but sometimes you are so intrigued that you yearn to step closer, for the warmth, the spark which makes you feel special. it can both destroy you and offer you available mellowness. while it isn't exactly title track worthy according to everybody, the message seemingly covers all bases, even in a cozy 3:15.
. . . ▸ it's like everyone in this group had a bad breakup or something, because etiolate is a clear breakup tune, and though i don't know much, i know one of them must've been clutching their hair strands for days. written and produced by louvix audio head music pro ahn sohyun in a not so surprising partnership with yohan, the prior staff member noted that the meliora members were " experts at yearning, they needed more of that ", she was right, we thank her for her sound judgement. if we can take anything from listening to this, it's that they did not take the breakup well at all.
. . . ▸ okay so imagine the last song, crank it up to like 10000%, and you have so long, the songification of " sobbing on the floor " apparently.. they're getting desperate y'all. literally the only song on the album having not been poked and prodded by a certain leader, so long was written and produced by a frankly talented eighteen year old named eden, probably not her real name but it's impressive nonetheless! though also a clear breakup tune, it instead takes the approach of " you might just be the problem ", less of an innate tune regarding love and being angry over the ending of that love, but coming to terms with what humans are, overly complicated. maybe you were a pushover, blinded by your very own ambition, careless concerning the feelings of the person who you tell " i love you " rather indifferently. somewhat silently, it's encouraging people in relationships to be better.
. . . ▸ finally, after insane collections of seemingly depressing music, i wish is the closing tune which provides somewhat solace, a bit of hope in this album which appears to paint love in a negative steering light. frankly, i wish is much more about friendship than romantic relationships, at least that's what our beloved writer yohan says, yeah he's back, did you miss him? he didn't write the whole thing, eventually junmin came in to write the second half of the song.. a strangely fitting pairing. platonic or romantic, this song is about somebody who loves someone so much it's sickening, that they want to get sick in tandem with that special someone, love is surging, whether it be between friends, or lovers, something those two probably know a lot about.
. . . % era notes
the album was actually barely promoted, no prior messages or even hints from the members that it would be released, it was clearly very thought of but after it was released louvix audio rarely batted an eye at it
light a flame won exactly 1 music show, fitting because they only did show up for like.. two days to promote it
selling over 750,000 copies in the span of a month, it was certified platinum by the kmca on december twenty ninth twenty twenty, by late january twenty twenty one it had surpassed over 1,000,000 sold copies
memorable era moments
okay so.. the members kinda pretend this album doesn't exist for some reason
especially yohan, yeah he created like half the thing and he always squints uncomfortably whenever interviewers bring it up
this album, and late 2020 brought a cute collection of meliora vlogs, the fan favorite one being ‘nov.log #7: the making of knock on’, which is.. pretty self explanatory, it gave fans a glimpse into the song-creating process
"would you rather be a human with strawberry thoughts or a strawberry with human thoughts?" — kang yaejoon, 2020
hajoon and haneul's totally not sober karaoke vlive which then got taken down a week later, the latter straining his vocal chords at the attempt of ‘really bad boy’ by red velvet
00 vlive but instead of promoting the album junmin and hajoon were arguing over baseball teams whilst yohan just sat there wanting to die
hajoon describing the album as a ‘diary entry of sorts’ in an interview while yohan glared from beside him, eventually giving him a hard nudge with the elbow before he could say any more

and i won't forget to put roses on your grave
ִֶָ ᯽ .゚EVERY ROSE has its thorn ╱ meet the circle of blue rose ╱ tw for mentions of verbal abuse, neglect, drug use, death, and bullying
on a cold christmas morning in a buzzing hospital, bae minseok was born in incheon, south korea to a educated and ambitious firefighter for a mother, but with a cowardly and insecure data entry clerk father. it was quiet growing up, due mostly to the fact that he was not the most sociable, considering that mom and dad weren't home during the day, and minseok spent most of his afternoons distracting himself with boring yet interesting extracurriculars, the relationship between him and his parents wasn't really anything for the first eleven years of his life.
his parents' relationship slowly became unconventional, they became not only a problem for their son, but for each other. it was a norm for minseok to listen to the constant back and forth between his mother and father, and it amazed him to think that those two were once in love. he would listen to all his fathers stupid theories, oh no his wife had a promising career ahead of her? how disturbing! i should turn our son against her! after the first few years of his parents back and forth bickering, minseok decided to turn to something else to get his mind off everything.
in one of his previous extracurriculars, he learned how to play several instruments, but none of them interested him as much as the good old guitar did. if there was anything that could get his mind off the incessant shit talking his parents would do to each other, it was the beauty of the chords he produced on the stringed instrument. playing the guitar, to him, was just a coping mechanism, nothing too serious and nothing meant to be taken any further than a hobby, a thing he did when all the shouting was too much for him.
it wasn't until a friend, a very specific friend, nudged him one day and suggested that he auditioned for a company, at even the sound of those words, an immediate laugh escaping his lips as soon as his friend uttered them. what could he even do besides play one instrument and sing just a little well? what was he supposed to do with his lack of talent? (in his opinion, of course) every company would turn their backs on him, send him out of the door the moment he walked through those doors, but no matter how much he dispelled the words, his friends kept urging him and urging him to at least try to audition, because they just had an inkling that he would make it in.
after the constant harassment from his friends, minseok would roll his eyes and step into the audere media building on an early august morning in 2012, and like his friends predicted, he passed, with much surprise to himself. now— he knew about the shady reputation under the company, but he had also been promised to debut, a promise that would be fulfilled after four years, several lineup changes, and the loss of close friends he'd made in the corner of the practice room. over the four years he found himself trapped in the practice room of a shady company, minseok would lose, then gain, then lose some more hope, he had been accepted into the company for his talents, but he felt as if they were never truly considered by the higher ups. he often felt as if everyone was disregarding him, and he'd never be considered to even debut.
after all the work, the long nights spent in the practice room, and the hundreds of times he almost quit, minseok would finally find his place, with a group of people who understood him, for him, debuting in blue rose was one of the best things in his life, but he'd never admit that to his members, he remains stubborn.

on a snowy february evening in hat yai, thailand, vidura sukkasem came into this world angry, an emotion which would become a staple for him throughout his life. often compared to a "ticking time bomb", the fury he had seemingly been born with wouldn't disappear with age like his parents had hoped for. instead it manifested into something more, something which would become a liability to his parents. he had not been showered with the same kind of love as his siblings, he was often "too much" for the adults in his life to handle, so as a result, he began to lash out.
his emotions would range from angry, to frustrated, to absolutely fucking pissed directed towards everybody. he eventually became a problem, so much of a problem that his parents had "no other choice" but to ship him off to some boarding school for troubled children, hoping that the harsh lessons would put him in shape, but the schools, just like his parents, stated he was "too much to handle" and he eventually became nothing but your no good troubled teen stereotype (not so much troubled, he just lacked the attention children so needed from their parents). he would battle his own demons all on his own, he didn't need friends, he'd already gotten this far with his parents not giving two shits about him, whilst his siblings pretended he was never there, it was no surprise to anyone that he wasn't interested in the whole making friends part of life.
his personal interests would all be a little wishy washy, from snowboarding, to composition, to dancing, and finally, the guitar (specifically the electric guitar). vidura would stay up all night watching performances from popular rock bands, watching as they did their thing, so effortlessly, he knew that teaching himself how to play such an instrument would be a challenge, but he was never one to give up. having been inspired by bands such as aerosmith, van halen, and of course, queen, the second eldest would find himself borrowing his coworkers' instruments to test them out, just until he could save enough money to buy his dream guitar. over the next few months, not only would he almost completely learn how to play the electric guitar, and keyboard on his own, but he also did some considering, and that considering would eventually manifest into a want, he wanted to be in a band.
even with the constant remarks, chortles, and snickers from family, vidura wouldn't just halt with what he'd wanted for so long, who were they to talk about his life? when they did nothing but cast him aside? it seemed idiotic to him, which he had no problem voicing, yeah it lead to a less-than-stellar altercation between him and a few cousins, but he would say it was all for a good cause. it seemed that his prayers would be answered, when a scout from a familiar (then still) small record label szene vinyl stopped him on the street, having recognized him from a video his manager had posted online, he almost didn't accept the scouts offer, convinced they were a scam, or some sort of cult trying to brainwash him.
but after pondering for a good week, continuously staring at the business card in his hand, he'd try at the audition, even with the way he was clearly nervous, stumbling through the little korean he knew, and uncomfortable under the stare of so many strangers, he would pass, he likes to think it was a miracle, or the clear passion that seemed to ooze around him, or maybe they were just pitying, to this day, he will never truly know why he actually passed.
everything seemed to fast track after that, the titular thai 'wannabe rockstar' (that's what dione calls him, rich), would go through several practice rooms, sleepless nights, two almost life ending injuries, arguments with dance instructors and his fellow trainees, as well as a few predictable breakdowns and broken nails. if vidura is anything, it's a fighter, he wasn't about to be tossed out by this company for being "a nuisance" like he'd been by his parents and the tens of schools in the past. he doesn't care if he fought tooth or nail to be in that lineup, he did it because he deserved it, and he knows that better than anyone else.

on a blinding july afternoon, noh hyeon (though originally born noh jaewoong) was born in the heart of daejeon, south korea to a freelance photographer of a mother, one who had such a bright imagination, an ambitious future ahead of her, well— not before she got pregnant with her previously named son, and dumped by her college school boyfriend, who stated he just couldn't "take care of a child with all of his other responsibilities". so, at 22 years old, no college degree, only $1000 under her belt and a whole child under her care, she'd try her best to maneuver through life, and give her son the best life he could ever ask for.
for most of his life, hyeon could recall his mother being unhappy, she'd try to cover it with fake smiles and laughs, but he always secretly knew it. he wished he could help her, but he could do nothing but watch her suffer in silence, as he was just a defenseless child. he would stay up all night thinking, dreaming of a day where he could finally save his mother from the suffering she was put through trying to raise him, he prayed that one day he would find success in a field which would help him provide for her. it was no surprise to anyone who met him that hyeon had quite the imagination, the only things at the forefront of his mind being caring for his mother and his one true dream—
becoming an idol.
baby v.o.x, shinhwa, and of course, h.o.t became big inspirations for the soon to be leader, well, as much as an inspiration as they were an escape. he recalls sitting down at home and watching in fascination as the idols did their thing, so effortlessly, so flawlessly, dressed in stage outfits he could only dream of wearing. for most of his life, though, he only thought that dream would stay like that, a dream, something he could fantasize about in his mind but never truly fulfill, though his mom would enroll him in dance practices, singing lessons, and do all sorts of karaoke in the living room, he never actually thought he would make it, it all seemed like an actual thing he'd accomplish.
but it'd all go to his head, it'd become his main focus, something he couldn't stop thinking about. it got to the point that he couldn't focus on school, too busy thinking about being one of those idols, singing and dancing catchy songs on a stage, loved by the korean public.
it seemed that his mother could see right through the act he was putting up, and she didn't hesitate to drop a train ticket in front of him on a random day, telling him to audition either now or never. though very puzzled by the sudden way his mother decided to tell him to go audition like he'd been itching to, but he knew this was a once in a lifetime chance. so, with adrenaline coursing through his veins, a fourteen year old hyeon hopped on a train and took the whole two hour ride from daejeon to seoul, shaking nervously the whole entire time. he would walk into that audere media building and never look back, his future somehow decided for him in that very moment.
of course, the six years spent in that company were nothing short of hellish, like all of the members, who once considered quitting and going back home, feeling as if he had been wrong at what he thought he wanted to do with his life. it took so much perseverance, encouraging words from (ironically) minseok and remembering what his mother told him to not walk out of those doors and flip the bird at absolutely every person who worked there. it would all eventually be for good, even if he was stuck with the position of bass guitarist, one he wasn't truly keen on receiving (he was much more skilled in terms of the keyboardist position, he even would've settled for being the drummer). still, he'd persevere, spending almost two and a half years working on his skills as a guitarist, he has the lovely juniper and lim jaesang to thank for that.

born with what is described as a "natural aura of bad luck" on a rainy may day in ulsan, south korea, ji hansaem was never a blessed child, stuck in the middle of seven other children, he was quickly tossed aside in favor of his less fortunate siblings (which he easily understood, they all needed to be taken care of), so from a young age, he seemed to always be on his own. his three older siblings were either much older or found him boring, whilst his three younger siblings were too young and suffering with life-altering diseases, disabilities, or simply disadvantages. it was no surprise to anyone that the lack of attention from at home caused him to start acting out, taking his anger out on anyone and anything, often resulting in his knuckles ending up bruised.
wherever hansaem went, trouble seemed to follow. it was always chalked up to his horrible situation at home and the fact that he seemed to be the only one of all seven children to inherit his father's angers issues, so he never found any actual help for the constant frustration he felt towards strangers who'd done nothing to him. so, he looked to other ways of coping, because if none of the adults in his life would try to help him, he was going to try to help himself, even if it would take so much time.
the leftover anger he decided to not channel into fistfights would instead be channeled into newfound instruments, namely rapping, dancing, and his mission to be able to play at least 10 instruments by the time he was 30. rapping was always an interest of his, time not spent at home (due to how the apartment had literally a whole village living there), would be spent in his close friends sihyuk's garage, taking free sample beats from not always legal website and rapping over them. he wasn't good at it in the beginning, which he clearly states every chance he gets, but as long as he was left alone with his thoughts and a random beat before him, he could come up with anything (but he would never be considered for the rapper position until last minute).
hansaem doesn't exactly know why, or what kind of confidence had overtaken him at that very moment, but he found himself walking into a familiar company on a horribly humid day in august of 2011, sm entertainment (not sure if you've heard of them or not..), but with all shock, he passed, and he found himself in a mundane day-to-day routine full of practice rooms and gossip about if he would debut in the upcoming nct. unfortunately, his popularity as an sm rookies members didn't immediately mean he was going to be a member, which was clearly hinted at him by the actions of his beloved former company. not wanting to waste his time rotting away in a company that didn't really give two shits about him, he would exit after only 1 year of training, but all hope would not be lost, as he would quickly be approached by szene vinyl with an offer that he just couldn't refuse, of course it meant he had to be stuck around just the single most annoying person ever (i.e juniper), but if it meant debuting, so be it!

on a cloudy autumn afternoon in jeju city, south korea, jeon yunseok was born as the second of three children, stuck in the middle and becoming the only boy born in his family after 25 years of just girls being born. from the get go, his family members knew there was something special about him, he had a bright smile and seemingly bulletproof optimism, nobody could ever wear him down, he was just strong like that. he was born naturally sociable, always ready to talk to people, never seen without a smile on his face. yunseok was a boy full of dreams, dreams he wouldn't discard until he at least excelled in one of the fields.
one of his biggest dreams included being an idol, and he would find that dream coming true when he debuted in the former "child" idol group DVIX in 2010, being only twelve at the time. now, the whole thing about the group was that the members would graduate when they were eighteen, then a whole new lineup of boys would show up and repeat the process, but it wouldn't be all smooth sailing. for starters, the lineup was full of children, and children are mean, his fellow members wouldn't think twice before deciding to torment every waking day of yunseok's life, his groupmates found it amusing to call him names, whilst his former company found it entertaining to overwork him with stupid brand deals and acting gigs. all he ever truly wanted to do was be an idol, but he had members who made it unbearable and a company that decided to make him do everything but that.
so, yunseok confided in his parents about the whole situation and they weren't any happy, they immediately removed him from the group in 2013 and sued his former company for child endangerment. the most he knows is that they did eventually get paid, he just doesn't know the specific amount they did. his dreams of being an idol wouldn't falter, though, because he would go on and audition for another company, namely audere media, and with his previous expertise in the idol industry, it was no surprise that he passed.
he would never say that his time in the practice room of audere media was a "horrible one", compared to his previous label, they seemed like angels. of course, his bright personality and constant optimism was still meant with hostility from fellow trainees, but most of them actually liked him, cherished him even. he was known as the "unofficial therapist", as he was an amazing listener and advisor. his shiny reputation would carry on to when he debuted, known as the "brightest member of blue rose".

on a seemingly random november day, right as the month was coming to a close, song rinhyo (though he is preferred to be called riley) was born in rochester, new york, as the eldest of four children. his mother- a desirous music teacher who dreamed of doing more with her life, and his father- an equally determined children's book illustrator who was trying his hardest to recover from a once almost life threatening addiction. his father was a man who, like everyone, made mistakes, and had many regrets he wished he could've taken back before his inevitable demise. he would die when riley was only 4, leaving the love of his life and three kids behind (along with a fourth one who would unfortunately be born after his funeral).
as a child, helping around the house was never a foreign concept to him, considering his mother had now become a single parent and didn't have a partner available to watch over the kids anymore. riley would take over the position as "surrogate parent" with ease, mostly because he had a natural instinct to protect everyone younger than him, his siblings are his lifeline, he'd go to any lengths to protect them, so much so that he basically became their parent for a good chunk of their lives. he'd make them breakfast, take them to school, then go to school himself, pick them up from school and proceed to take care of them at home. his routine was a mundane one, the same thing every single day.
as a child, singing was always something he was interested in. his mother was a music teacher, the person who taught him everything he knows about how to advance his vocals, as well as play his two main instruments (the guitar and drums). he would often sing his siblings to sleep, though always begrudgingly due to the fact that he never really enjoyed singing in front of people that weren't teachers or his mother, believing he wasn't exactly amazing or that he would embarrass himself. he always described his skills as "mediocre", he was just your regular guy who enjoyed singing on some occasions and playing guitar solos for fun.
everything would come to a stop when, without him knowing, his younger brother noah would send a video of him singing the song (and playing the guitar instrumental) stairway to heaven by led zeppelin to szene vinyl as an audition tape. he had previously tried to convince the older to audition for the company, having read that they were accepting trainees from everywhere around the world, riley, though he clearly wanted to audition, refused profusely each time due to the fact that he didn't exactly want to just up and leave his family to chase some idol dream that probably wouldn't come true considering his odds. he wouldn't even know until his siblings brought it up to him awkwardly, he swears he almost punched them in the face when learning what they did, but he was even more shocked to know that his audition was accepted, he passed.
riley thought about it for a long time, talked about it with his mom for several days, but she persuaded him, and a decision was eventually made. in a matter of two weeks after his brother had sent that video to szene vinyl without him knowing, he was now on a plane to seoul, able to fulfill a dream he once thought would be impossible to. after arriving at the building for the first time in 2013, he would eventually train for 3 years until he got the chance to debut in blue rose, as their maknae, and as the only member with two instrumental positions. he often thinks his debut was only due to the fact that his best friend, louyoung, left the company, he often feels undeserving of his position, but the members and his family never fail to remind him that he deserves what he has.

ITS TIME TO GO (ft. predebut yohan!)
yohan doesn't even think the loudest person would be able to snap him out of the daze he was having.
it was really just the loud music blasting through his headphones distracting him, he was much too focused on the movement of his pencil on the page to even notice that someone had walked into the room, and too focused to realize that person had been banging on the door for a good ten minutes.
maybe he is at fault for that.
it's only a tap on his shoulder that finally snaps him out of his daze, and he lowers down his headphones, turning around in his chair to look up at the person who decided to tap him. "yes?"
haeseong scoffs, not even surprised by his teammates behavior. "i was calling you for like.. ten minutes! you didn't hear me?"
yohan stares at him blankly, they both already know the answer to that question. "my volume was turned all the way up" he smiles teasingly, watching as haeseong gets even more irritated than before.
"anyway.." haeseong rolls his eyes, used to how yohan was already. "luca was asking if you wanted food".
yohan shakes his head, and haeseong was honestly expecting that. "what have you even been doing for the past fifty minutes?"
"writing poems" yohan answers in insane speed, sparing no additional glances to his teammate as he turns back in his chair and back to the papers that litter his desk.
haeseong raises an eyebrow, glancing at all the papers on his desk, just barely being able to read the writing on them before yohan pushes them all into his red folder. "is that all you wanted?" he mutters.
yohan just wants to be alone.
haeseong clears his throat, nodding. "yeah— yeah that's all i needed".
"cool" yohan puts his headphones back on. "close the door on your way out".
"what do you mean you want to leave!?"
yohan is more surprised at areum's surprise to his decision than the fact that his younger brother cooked the meal he was currently enjoying. "what else am i supposed to do? stay?"
"um? yes!" areum is much more head on than she likes to admit, but she just wants the best for yohan, and he knows that, she just goes about it in an aggressive way. "you said you wanted to become an idol!"
"i can't become an idol if my company won't do anything but just stuck me with like five men and make us just dance, they have nothing ready for us, for me" yohan exclaims, and hyeri hums around her spoon, not wanting to talk with her mouth full of food.
"you made this?" hyeri inquires, looking over at her youngest brother. yisoo looks offended, his brows furrowing as he leans against his cheek.
"why are all of you asking that?" he frowns, and yohan just snickers, patting his back. "do you not expect me to know how to cook with parents that are literally professional chefs?"
"it's all jokes!" hyeri yells, ruffling her baby brothers hair. "it's just that you were such a baby and now your here cooking!"
"i'm in university.."
"your a freshmen" areum deadpans, and yisoo gasps at the words. she ignores his reaction, turning back to yohan and putting the topic back on his idol life. "so your leaving, what are you gonna do now?"
"i'll figure out what to do after that.." yohan mumbles, which is code for: he has absolutely no idea.
"there's a company holding auditions" yisoo suddenly pipes up, and hyeri seems to have an idea of what he's talking about, because she immediately nods. "you could go there".
"rix's company! apparently they're creating a new boy group!" she exclaims, lacing her fingers together and placing them onto the table.
"rix? you have all their albums.."
"you can go there! they aren't even that far from us!"
"and how are you so sure that i'll get in?"
areum deadpans, staring at yohan like he just confessed to committing a crime. "why wouldn't you get in? you can sing, dance, and your good looking, your a package!"
yohan narrows his eyes, thinking for a moment. "when do they open?"
"next week actually!"
yohan bites his inner cheek, sighing.
"i'll think about it".
and that results in a cheer from his siblings.

Love At First Bite ( Hangul : 첫입에 반하다) is a fictional six-member co-ed group formed by E:CLIPSE Media. They released their debut single album, “Immortal Wish”, on October 31, 2014, without any teasers or promotions.
Love At First Bite seemed to come out of nowhere, the first artists under an unknown company and none had fame prior to the group, yet they took the kpop industry by storm with their dark and vampire-like concepts with a majority of their music charting next to groups from big companies. Along with being a full group, they release music in sub-units. Bloody Mary is a sub-unit consisting of their female members: Clara, Angel, & Juliette. RED ROSES is a sub-unit consisting of their male members: Nico, Valentine, & NOIR. They are also a self-produced group, with NOIR and Clara producing a majority of their stuff.
The thing that drags fans into the group has to be their extensive lore, all the members taking the role of vampires from the late 1800s - early 1900s, trying to blend into human society and navigate different human experiences. The members of the group are said to give off vampire vibes even off stage, and many fans wonder if they could actually be vampires. Love At First Bite is named the most successful co-ed group in Kpop and one of the best groups to come out of 3rd Gen.
