POSTED ON FINN'S PRIVATE TIKTOK ACCOUNT, THE DEEPDIVE MEMBERS MAKE A CANDY SALAD WHILE TRAUMA DUMPING.
˗ ˋ 🌊 CONTENT WARNING ﹕ based off the tiktok trend where people trauma dump while making a candy salad, duh. so, trauma dumping but everything mentioned is not in detail! mentions of abusive parents, homophobia, fat shaming, drug addiction, grooming, sexual abuse, cps, suicide, and death. again, none are in graphic detail and are portrayed in a slightly comedic light. here's dowon's introduction piece, just pretend he's been here the whole time instead of jacob lol!
Jisung is illuminated by an iPhone's camera flash, blinking at the camera as he proudly holds up a bag of peach rings. He looks beyond the camera for his sign to start speaking before looking back at the lens, smiling professionally.
"Hi, my name is Jisung, and when I was 5 years old, my mom decided to take my dad to court for child support, and he got really mad and ordered a hit out on her," Jisung shares with a nod, trying to fight back laughter as he lifts the bag of candy. "And I brought peach rings." He announces as he dumps the bag into the large plastic bowl in front of him.
Dawning a blue hoodie and tousled blond hair, Finn smiles politely at the camera.
"Hey, I'm Finn, and I became addicted to drugs when I was seventeen, so now I have these massive gaps in my memories where I have no idea what happened, but I know it wasn't good," he says with ease, dumping the bag of green gummies into the bowl with a thud.
Kiwoo poses naturally when the camera is on him, holding his bag of M&Ms off to the side of him like he's a game show host.
"Hi, my name is Kiwoo, and when I was 18, my sister killed herself when our parents were out of the country, so I had to be the one to identify her decaying body. I brought M&Ms." He gives a peace sign before dumping the bag of M&Ms into the bowl with a dull clatter.
Noah can't bite back his laughter when the camera is on him, curling his lips in before waving shortly to the camera.
"Hey, I'm Noah. When I was 16, my mom died in the hospital, and when we were doing her honor walk, my dad leaned over to me and whispered, "This is all your fault." and then acted like nothing happened." Noah nods at the camera as his lips form a line before looking at the bag of candy in his hand. "I brought Nerds Gummy Clusters!" He cheers with a forced smile, dumping the candy into the bowl.
Woojin snorts when the camera is on him, tucking his long black hair behind his ear. "Hi, I'm Woojin, and when I was being sexually abused by our manager, I told our CEO in hopes of getting her fired, but, um, I got fired instead! Um," He looks at the bag in his hand, chuckling softly. "I brought blue raspberry gummy straws." the straws land with a dull thud in the bowl when he dumps them out.
Blue blinks at the camera before looking off at the murmuring off-screen, laughing at something Finn said before lifting up his small bag of Sourpatch Kids. "My name is Blue, and when I was 6, my dad threw a vase at my head because he thought I was gay," Blue laughs when the words leave his mouth, the rest of the room laughing with him as he lifts the bag up victoriously. "I brought Sourpatch Kids Watermelons!" He cheers, dumping them in the bowl.
Dowon pushes his hair back with one hand before waving to the camera, unenthused by this group activity suggested by Finn. "I'm Dowon, I'm the leader of DeepDive, and when I was 18, I had a really toxic girlfriend who always argued with me over anything and threatened to kill herself when I tried to break up with her. So, one day, we were arguing over the color of my shirt, and she said she was going to kill herself for the 2000th time, and I said, "Then do it," and she actually attempted to do so in my room," He tells the camera like he's talking to a news reporter before looking at the candy bag in his hand, smiling dumbly. "I brought gummy bears." He simply pours them into the bowl.
Jisung is laughing when the camera is back on him, clearing his throat before waving to the camera.
"Hey, it's me Jisung again, and when I was, like, ten? I met my dad for the first time because he was trying to sue my mom for defamation, and the first time he saw me-" Jisung can't stop himself from laughing, causing the others in the room to laugh as well; he covers his mouth before clearing his throat again to collect himself. "When he saw me for the first time, he made the most disgusted face ever and said "I can't believe I helped create something like you." and proceeded to call me a bastard for the rest of the trial." His voice is tight from trying not to laugh before he lifts the bag of candy. "I brought blue gummy sharks." When he dumps the gummy sharks out, they land in the bowl, all clustered together with a dull thud.
Finn is already laughing when the camera is on him, looking off at someone and laughing harder before he looks back at the camera. "I'm Finn, and when I was eighteen, I had a much older girlfriend who got me addicted to coke, like cocaine, the drug, and one night when we were getting high, I was talking to her, and she was really quiet for a long time so when I looked over I realized she had overdosed and died." Finn makes a face that reads, "What can you do?" before shrugging and holding up his bag of candy. "I brought pink starburst." he dumps the wrapped candy into the bowl, shaking the bag slightly.
Kiwoo sighs at the camera before looking off at Finn. "How the hell am I supposed to follow that?" The room laughs at the other's lament, causing Kiwoo to smile softly before the camera cuts to him sitting up straight and looking at the camera.
"My name is Kiwoo, and when I came out to my parents, my dad said," Kiwoo can't stop himself from laughing, covering his mouth with the back of his hand. "My dad said, "We already knew that." and went back to eating dinner like nothing happened. I brought KitKats." He turned the bag upside down, dumping the candy into the almost-full bowl.
Noah points to the bag of sour gummy worms in his hand, nodding. "I'm Noah. Hey. And for the past seven years, I've been in a relationship with our former manager, who is much older than me and started dating me when I was, like, sixteen, and she would get really mad at me when I would talk to girls my age. So, now, even though we don't see each other anymore, whenever I talk to a girl my age I get hit with an impending sense of dread and paranoia. I brought the sour gummy worms."
Blue smiles stiffly at the camera when it's on him, looking off to the side and realizing he has to follow that up. He sucks air through his teeth.
"I'm Blue, and when I was ten, my dad came back from a business trip and started yelling at my mom that she had gotten fat and then grabbed her face and started shaking her. So, I shoved him really hard, and he fell over and broke his arm because he was an old man. Then he threatened to sue me. Again, I was ten." Blue looks at the bag in his hand before raising it like he was cheers'ing at a bar. "I brought Skittles." When he dumps the bag of Skittles in the bowl, they scatter around the candy with a clatter.
"Hi, I'm Woojin," Woojin says, wasting no time when the camera is on him again, "When I was seven, I lived in America with my mom, and we lived in a motel because we were poor and one day, CPS came and took me away, but they promised I would see my mom again and foster care was only temporary, but now I'm twenty-three and I haven't seen my mom since," Woojin blinks at the camera, chuckling softly before giving a finger heart, causing someone to cackle off-screen. "Love you, mom. I brought strawberry cloud gummies." He laughs as he dumps the bag of pink candy into the bowl.
Dowon sighed when the camera was on him again, tilting his head at it as the others laughed around him, making him break into a smile. He shrugs his broad shoulders.
"What's up, guys. I'm Dowon, and my mom? She was an alcoholic who only started talking to me again once I got rich and famous. I don't remember anything from my childhood thanks to her." He snaps at the camera like he just said something cool and not traumatic before pointing to the bag in his hand. "I'm topping this all off with some chocolate-covered pretzels." Dowon unceremoniously dumps the chocolate-covered pretzels into the filled bowl, laughing under his breath.
It cuts to a shot of Woojin shaking the bowl of candy up with intense concentration, brows knit, and lips pressed into a line as Finn works at stirring it with a plastic fork. The camera work is similar to being in a club, moving close in on the boys, then bouncing away, disorienting at best and nauseating at worst.
The last shot of the video shows Finn proudly showing the camera the candy salad, holding the bowl like a newborn infant instead of a bowl of candy. "All our trauma is in here," Finn jokes, motioning around the candy with his finger.
"That's not even all of it," Blue jokes off-screen, obviously chewing on a gummy bear. "We'd need a much bigger bowl for all that."

LUNARIX is a six-member fictional girl group that debuted on July 17, 2023 under ANGELICO Entertainment. Rookies thrown into the UNFORGIVING landscape of the entertainment industry, Lunarix stands out amongst the rest with their UNCONVENTIONAL and QUIRKY sound and concept.
Originally known as "ANGELGIRLZ" during their pre-debut phase, the group faced immediate scrutiny. Their debut announcement quickly followed the disbandment of Angelico's top-performing groups, VENUS and DeepDive. Accusations arose, claiming that ANGELGIRLZ copied Venus' "VENUS PROJECT" with their pre-debut project, "The Angel Project." Angelico chose not to address these allegations.
The negative reception toward ANGELGIRLZ intensified when their leader, Angel, was exposed as a school bully. The group's pre-debut single, "Chu~♡," received a poor response from the public. Following this setback, Angel was removed from ANGELGIRLZ, and her contract with Angelico was terminated.
On their debut date of July 17, 2023, Siyeon, a former DollsWorld member, joined the lineup, completing the current six-member configuration. Despite this addition, Lunarix still struggles to gain widespread public affection and often becomes the target of online hate trains.
Siyeon, the leader of Lunarix, was born on May 13th, 1999 in Daegu, South Korea, to a bustling family of six siblings. Siyeon's path to stardom seemed destined from the start, as she was born under a Waning Crescent moon.
From a young age, Siyeon displayed a big personality and an undeniable need to be on stage, setting her apart from her siblings. Her innate charisma and talent caught the attention of many, earning her the title of the "survival show princess." Siyeon participated in numerous survival shows, consistently making it to the finale but never securing a spot in the final group. Despite this, she remained a beloved contestant among viewers.

MIXNINE: RANK 5th, failed to debut.
UNPRETTY RAPSTAR 2: Third runner-up

In 2019, Siyeon finally made her official debut with the group DOLLSWORLD under Stormedia. However, the group's journey was short-lived, with only two comebacks before silently disbanding as all the members terminated their contracts.
Undeterred by the challenges, Siyeon embarked on a new chapter in 2021 when she joined Angelico Entertainment. Alongside her commitment to training, Siyeon continued to participate in various survival shows, showcasing her resilience and determination.
Siyeon became Lunarix's new leader, main singer, and visual after Angel, the group's previous leader, was removed before their debut. Siyeon's strong singing and attractive appearance brought fresh energy to the group and contributed significantly to its identity.

Kim Taerin was born on August 12th, 2000, in Seoul, South Korea. She is a talented individual with a complex past that adds to her intrigue.
Taerin has always kept her childhood a private matter. While there isn't much information available, some internet detectives have uncovered some heartbreaking details. When she was 5 years old, Taerin lost her parents and older brother in a terrible house fire. She was then adopted by a couple in Seoul. She has openly stated that she prefers not to think about her childhood, and the people who raised her are no longer a part of her life.
Taerin struggled with her studies and social life, but found solace in music. At just 15 years old, she began producing music on SoundCloud, showing that she was talented at making beats and melodies. She adopted the name SEEU and started making music for lesser-known groups and Korean hip-hop artists. This helped her grow up fast as she navigated the producer scene.
Taerin faced challenges when she decided to pursue her craft independently at the age of 17. It's unclear how she caught the attention of Angelico Entertainment, but this was a turning point in her life. Under Angelico's guidance, Taerin worked on her image and kept most of her past hidden.

Navi Pandya was born in Odisha, India on November 7th, 2002, under a Waxing Crescent moon. Despite her young age, Navi has an impressive portfolio that showcases her commitment to her craft.
Navi's early childhood is not widely known, but it is known that dancing was an essential part of it. She was inspired by her four sisters who were all accomplished dancers themselves, and she aspired to be like them. Navi was influenced by K-pop bands such as Wonder Girls and Miss A, and started her trainee journey under JYP Entertainment.
Navi first appeared on the K-pop scene through the reality show SIXTEEN where she competed to become a member of the group TWICE, but unfortunately didn't make it. She didn't give up and later participated in Produce 101, where she ranked fifth and went on to debut with I.O.I. Navi won the affectionate nickname "nation's baby" for her performance.
Navi's career came to a halt after I.O.I. She was expected to debut with ITZY, but a disagreement over her contract with JYP changed things. She joined FLOWERBANK Entertainment but faced challenges with mismanagement of her solo career and several promised group debuts that never happened. This period led to a decline in the momentum gained during her I.O.I days.
In 2022, Navi made a significant move by joining Angelico Entertainment, marking a turning point in her career. Debuting with Lunarix as their main dancer, center, and lead rapper in 2023.

⩩♡⃗ ⠀⠀⠀ STUPID CUPID ⠀:⠀ CANDY SALAD TRAUMA DUMP ! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ — ib. @bluwavez / i had no idea this even existed until i saw your post </3
disc. this post mentions drugs, cheating, hospital, abusive grandma & parents, death & blood, being outed out. if i missed something, please let me know!
The video opens to an empty bowl placed innocently on the counter. Behind the camera, you can already hear giggling as Cheska walks into view, proudly holding a bag of her chosen candy. "Okay," she starts but breaks into chuckles, "My name is Cheska, and when I was younger, my dad sold my dog without telling me because he needed money for food."
There’s a short 'Oh!' behind the camera. Cheska continues smiling and dumps the candy into the bowl. "I bought Mini Psychedelic Jawbreakers!"
She walks away, and Aimee steps into view, still looking towards where Cheska exited. "I'm Aimee, and um, when I was five years old, my parents divorced and fought for me. My mother won but then practically abandoned me the moment I started school because, apparently, drugs were more important to her." She shrugs, showing a bag of Sour Patch Kids Extreme before pouring the contents into the bowl and mixing them with Cheska's.
After she leaves, there’s a brief pause as the girls try not to react behind the camera. The video shakes a little as the person behind the camera switches with someone else, and Tomie jumps into view, tilting her head. "This is Tomie, and when I was younger, my dad ruined my acting career after he was arrested. I was only fourteen and hated by literally everyone for something that I had no part in," she shrugs.
"Oh, and I brought Starburst!" Tomie says as she pours the packet. She hesitates, raises her hand, and points her middle finger before scratching her nose. Someone squeals behind the camera, and Tomie bitterly smiles as she walks away. The video shakes again as she grabs the phone again.
Looking confused, Jeanne slowly walks into the frame, holding a bag of Sour Gummy Worms. She stands there silently for three seconds before the camera cuts to a new scene where she introduces herself. "I'm Jeanne of Stupid Cupid, and when I lived in France, my grandmother would hit me if I didn't live up to her expectations, but nothing was ever good enough for her." She dumps the bag of candies into the bowl, adding fuel to the burning fire, "On her deathbed, she told me she was sick because of me, so I said I'm happy she's dying."
Gobsmacked, the rest of the girls quiet down, torn between staying silent or commenting. Aimee randomly remarks, "Damn, nothing will top this now," and Jeanne genuinely smiles at this. The tense situation breaks, and the other members laugh as Viva approaches the bowl quickly.
"I'm Viva, and when I told my mom I wanted to be an idol, she kicked me out of the house, so I had to live with my grandparents. I also brought Candy Sticks!" She throws a peace sign and walks away.
Cheska reappears, holding a different bag of candies. "Cheska again, and when I was younger, I ran away from home because I thought I was the reason my family was poor. A police officer found me sitting in a park two days later." She covers her mouth and laughs as if she didn't just say something severe, then dips the bag of Skittles. Waving to the camera, she moves back to her previous place, and Aimee takes her place in front of the almost full bowl.
"I'm Aimee, and when my ex cheated on me, I went and fucked his older brother. Both of them had small dicks anyway," she casually adds, eliciting loud laughs from the other members. After the laughter calms down, she shows her second candy. "I also brought Haribo's gummy bears." She takes a piece from the bag before pouring the rest into the bowl, shaking the last two pieces stuck to the bottom.
"It's Tomie, and my childhood went into raising my younger brother because my mom went crazy and had to be admitted to a hospital. My older sister refused to help until I left to be an idol," she quickly says after appearing in front of the camera, looking slightly angry. "I never forgave them for that," she adds, proudly showing a bag of Twirls.
There's a faint 'Do I have to do this one?' heard off-camera, and Tomie nods, ushering Viva into her place. The younger girl doesn't look as amused as before and quickly holds up a bag of Jolly Ranchers. "Um, I once came out to my ex-best friend and told her I'm attracted to females. She betrayed me by outing me to the whole school after promising she would keep it a secret." Tomie's hand appears, patting Viva on her shoulder before pulling her closer and away from the camera.
Jeanne returns with a Laffy Taffy bag. The girls decided to make her the last person to share. She is noticeably paler than before. "Um, I'm Jeanne, and, um, I witnessed someone else brutally die right in front of me. I don't want to remember how, but blood was everywhere." This statement is met with silence. Once again, Aimee breaks the tension, "Well, looks like Jeanne won this."
The other girls nervously laugh, and the video ends with Jeanne innocently waving as the camera points down to the bowl.

𓆝 𓆟 𓆞 𓆝 𓆟 𝙽𝙴𝚁𝙴𝙸𝙳𝚂 𝄞⨾𓍢ִ໋. are a five member fictional girl group under Wist Entertainment. Creatively, the group was handed over to February Harp by Wist’s CEO in their early days as they sought a new western influence to handle their newest project. The five member ensemble consists of Freya Callaway-Lee, Baek Chaerin, Nam Rami, Yoo Bada, & Huang “Charlie” JiaLi. While the group debuted with little to no involvement in their concept or sound, they have found themselves become more involved with each release, growing into a mixing pot of genres and concepts, along with a creative outlet for the girls. Multiple solo projects have pushed each member into a new scene of music and entertainment and they have grown up into more than the mermaid themed k-pop group they debuted as. Becoming known as “The Nation’s Magical Girls” and “Angels of the Sea” Nereids went from a relatively unknown monster rookie group, to a staple in the industry of modern k-pop.
°❀⋆.ೃ࿔*:・ The Cast
𝄞 Freya Callaway-Lee
The Leader + Main Dancer of Nereids. Freya is a gentle girl who performs like a monster. Her natural beauty and charisma attracts the eyes of new and active fans alike !
𝄞 Baek Chaerin
Nereids Visual + Lead Vocalist. Chaerin is often referred to as a doll-like beauty, and has gained the fitting nickname “Doll Baby” from both peers in the industry and fans. She uses this as a stage name for her solo music projects !
𝄞 Nam Rami
The Main Rapper + Lead Dancer of Nereids. She doesn’t talk much but when she does, you can’t help but fall in love with the sound. A true angel !
𝄞 Yoo Bada
Nereids Main Vocalist a true beauty. If Chaerin is a “Baby Doll” Bada is a “Porcelain Doll” she’s beautiful but breaks easily, so be careful with her !
𝄞 Huang “Charlie” JiaLi
The Lead Rapper + Maknae of Nereids. Charlie, in a group of mermaids, is a siren. Though talented at rapping, the girls voice can hypnotize anyone with ears !
°❀⋆.ೃ࿔*:・ The Sound
Nereids dance pop influenced music was appreciated and loved by many early on in their career, the use of elements from glitch hop and electro pop was both addicting and fun. Their growth in sound ranges from various genres such as Rnb, Hyper Pop, Drum & Bass, UK Garage, Pop Punk, Ballads, and more. While the musicality itself was deeply appreciated, the concepts and imagery used to visually interpret the sound was a big part of why they are so popular. Both the music videos and album art have caused many to take a listen, leading them into the world of Nereids.

BLOOD SOIL is the 2nd full album of the Angelico co-ed group Pushing Daises released on November 1st, 2023 alongside their short film by the same name. The album consists of 11 tracks with "Catch me" and "Frostbite" being the title tracks. The group promoted the album for two months, ending promotions with 750,000 copies sold worldwide and 8 music show trophies between the two songs.
The album is entirely self-composed, written, and produced by the members of Pushing Daisies, citing to have very little help from outside forces with this album. A majority of their creative direction for this comeback was under their leader, Zasha, who wrote and directed their short film as well.
TW: HORROR IMAGERY + FAKE BLOOD!
TRACK OO1. INTRO: HOMECOMING
TRACK OO2. ALWAYS FOREVER
TRACK OO3. LEAP OF FAITH
TRACK OO4. CATCH ME
TRACK OO5. ORIGINAL SIN
TRACK OO6. SIDE EFFECTS
TRACK OO7. FROSTBITE
TRACK OO8. GOLDEN AGE
TRACK OO9. TWIN HOTEL BEDS
TRACK O1O. ALL I DO IS RUN
TRACK O11. OUTRO: THIS IS THE END
Pushing Daisies were styled by Nakyung who drew inspiration from dollcore and the southern gothic aesthetic. Nakyung also did their hair and makeup, which were heavily influenced by dolls and horror movies.
OO1. Biggest moment for them this era was when the Blood Soil short film was aired at the Sundance Film Festivle. Blood Soil would go on to win "Short Film Grand Jury Prize" making them the first Angelico Artist to take home an American based film award. Their reaction to winning the award would go viral as all the members looked stunned and confused, looking around like a mistake had been made before going to accept their award.
OO2. They brought back their beloved reality series "BEYOND THE GRAVE" and ran for ten episodes. The members went on various adventures throughout the show's run such as getting locked in an escape room together, visiting famous haunted locations around the world, undergoing a test to discover if they have any supernatural abilities or sensitivities, gathering around a campfire or in a dimly lit room to share their own ghost stories or paranormal experiences, spending a night at a reputedly haunted hotel, watching their favorite horror movies together, and many more freaky adventures wherever Angelico decided to send the group.
OO3. The group kept their social media activeee during this era! Zasha went live on their YouTube channel where she went over her entire creative process behind Blood Soil and shared personal anecdotes and inspirations behind the lyrics of the album. She read excerpts from her personal diary during this live, showing drawings and sketches of the characters and outfits she envisioned for this project. It was very insightful and intimate experience for fans.
OO4. Nakyung and Elliot were the most promoted members, as usual, the pair becoming Inkigayo MCees which fans ate up. They would go viral for interacting with groups they used to be a part of or were almost a part of. A picture of Nakyung smiling brightly while Sena of Venus side eyes her was a big hit amongst Mysies who know how to take a joke unlike constellations, who didn't find it funny. While introducing STARZIE, Elliot would make a joke about almost being in the lineup, saying: "Here's the group I was rigged out of, Starzie!" And while the members were able to take the joke, Elliot would have to apologize to netizens on his Instagram story later that night.
OO5. That wasn't the only scandal that hit the group this comeback! Yeojun would be spotted leaving a club with Lunarix member Evie, causing a frenzy online and disputes between the group's fanbases. Angelico would swiftly release a statement but would avoid discussing the relationship status of the idols, only addressing that the club they went to was a reputable club and neither one of them engaged in "inappropriate activities". Still, both Yeojun and Evie would release apologies, stating they were close friends and were just hanging out. After this, Yeojun would be notably quiet for the rest of the promotions.
OO6. The group would get matching tattoos towards the end of the promotions, vlogging the whole experience and even sharing the design on their social media for fans to get the same design if they wanted to. The design was a simple daisy with a single falling petal. Many netizens saw this move as inappropriate as it "promoted getting tattoos" to their "young and impressional" fanbase. The group didn't address this stirr through Zasha would post a selfie with her tattoo on her story with the caption "get jobs" which many fans found hilarious.

2019 was a big year for Angelico Entertainment. Alongside debuting their biggest female act yet, VENUS, just a year prior, they also struck gold with their first ever in-house boy group: LoveOutLoud, abbreviated to L.O.L for branding purposes. Starting off as a ten-member lineup, L.O.L became an almost instant KPOP darling, still being girl group stans token boy group to stan.
Despite their bright and youthful branding, the inner workings of L.O.L are quite dark as their mistreatment goes back to their pre-debut days. It's rare for there to be an L.O.L comeback without a member sick or injured, as their promotional schedules are grueling and stacked. The members, despite being well into their careers at this point, haven't had a break in nearly four years.
The notorious Angelico CEO, Son Jinhwa, would say there's no time for breaks. Their momentum is still building; if they take a break, they'll be forgotten.
The boys took those words to heart, publicly denouncing the need for breaks between releases and saying they enjoy promoting as much as they do.
Well, almost all of them did.
By the end of 2021, they dropped to seven members, with three of the members leaving on what seemed like a bimonthly basis. First started with Siho leaving in March, citing creative differences and mistreatment but he would not leave Angelico. Instead, he would stay and produce under the label until his contract ran up. Fans speculate the final nail in the coffin for Siho was when other L.O.L member Jesse was given the spot as producer despite Siho being promised the role. Once Siho's contract with Angelico was up, he would become a producer and music video director.
Next to leave was Yadam in August, citing physical exhaustion and contractual disagreements as his reasons. Yadam was a beloved and well-known member of the group for his vocals and visuals, originally holding the spot as the official visual. He would go on to sue Angelico Entertainment for mistreatment, claiming that they did not allow him proper vocal rest, permanently damaging his vocal cords. Though the case made it far, the two parties settled out of court. He would go on to debut as a soloist and actor in 2023 after a much-needed break.
The last member to officially leave L.O.L would be Asher in December of that same year, claiming mental health struggles as his reason for leaving. Asher was one of the more popular members internationally for his bright and out-there personality, which seemed to dim as the years went on. He would return to America the same year and become a thriving social media influencer and actor in the States, having a following of 1.7 million on YouTube, 7.1 million on TikTok, and 5.2 million on Instagram.
Currently, Akio, the seventh member, is on a hiatus because of an ankle injury he obtained in 2023. He has not been an active member with the group for nearly a year now, leaving many fans to worry he will be the next one to drop from the lineup.
The group sits pretty and happy on top of the boy group brand rankings, being some of the most recognizable and beloved faces in the KPOP industry at the moment, but are they really as bright and happy as they seem?

the reason for hiatus was the pace in which KQ entertainment had been scheduling the members, netizens were concerned about the group's health. though they promised solo projects amongst the members, only XEPHER and EUNAE worked on small mixtapes, and it seems as though the members took their time with the process of RETURN OF THE SPARK's production process functioned at a slow pace compared to past releases.

BITE THE APPLE is the FIRST FULL ALBUM of the fictional South Korean Co-ed group BRATPACK. Released on August 8th, 2024, the album housed eleven tracks, all of which were produced by the MOON SIBLINGS. Not a single member of BratPack could be found in the album's credits, but they're idols, not writers or producers.
The album's two title tracks, "TEMPASSION" and "BATTLE ZONE," were promoted for three solid months, making this their longest promotional period since their debut. They would take home only two music show awards, marking their first music show win ever as a group.
BITE THE APPLE is a controversial album. Many people loved and hated it, but Twitter couldn't shut up about it, which was the whole point. Almanda Summers knows how to get the internet buzzing, good or bad, and with the particularly bloody yet sensual concept Bite The Apple went for, no one could shut up about this album.
ACIDIC COMMENTARY: Bea was not given the same prompt as the other brats. She was asked, "What got you into music?" We're not sure why she was asked a question different from the others. This video was recorded before official track names were released.
With visuals inspired by the 2000 Japanese action film directed by Kinji Fukasaku Battle Royal, as well as biblical references scattered throughout their seven music videos, the group became Pinterest darlings and dominated Tumblr aesthetic tags. Though visually stunning, this would earn them the title, which I guess is supposed to be an insult, of a "visual group" meaning they were only good for their visuals not their music. BratPack stans would not take offense to this. Why would they? The argument was flimsy. Why are you mad they're stanning hot people with superb creative direction? Sounds like a personal problem.
However, the line distribution became more and more of an issue with fans as it felt like the girls were carrying the songs more often than not, with the three male members acting as backup vocalists or backup dancers. Though their lack of lines did not phase Chance and Jiu, Hajin often stole lines from his female counterparts during live performances. "I trained to be a singer. I'm going to sing." The youngest would say on a live stream. BratPack fans were split on how to feel about Hajin's attitude. As long as it didn't affect the group's dynamic, there's no harm in it, right? Plus, he was only stealing Brigett's lines. It's not like anyone is really here for Bridgett Lee. People only like her because of her brother. It's not an issue if she has fewer lines.

⌗ HEADLINES ! HEADLINES !
A mini collection of headlines that made The Pinkscape stand still. Content warning for Age Gap Relationships, Slut Shaming, and Employee x Boss Relationships!
POSTED : MAY 23RD 2024.
Hide your moms! Finn Lee was spotted making out with veteran idol and second-gen icon Myrah Yamazaki on the balcony of the Mydol building. It's alleged that the pair were at a company party, celebrating the acquirement of DeepDive's contract from Flowerbank Entertainment, when the pair went outside to smoke together. A fan, who might or might not be a stalker that doesn't matter here, caught the pair "kissing passionately" on the balcony after talking for a few minutes.
Though Mydol has released no official statement, Myrah posted on her blog about the photos, stating:
"I know I only post on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Sundays, and it's a Friday, but I just want to say that I DID kiss that guy, and it shouldn't matter. I kiss a lot of guys my age, not my age, older, younger, whatever. I kiss a lot of men because I want to, and I am nearly forty. Apologies for kissing your bias or whatever but leave me alone. He's not hard to kiss so go find him and kiss him yourself. TTYL xoxo, Myrah."
Many girl group stans found this statement empowering, while DeepDive stans found it offensive to Finn, who has remained silent on the issue. "She could've not called him a ran through whore like that," Twitter user "kiwowsussy" posted. "She's a loser I do not get y'alls obsession 😭" User "l8rbaebi" said in the quotes of the original article. This pairing seemed to cause a lot of commotion on Twitter and Instagram, many fans flooding both Myrah and Finn's comments with demands for an apology or pleas for them to break up.
To which, Finn simply replied with these Instagram stories:
Though it's still debated if the pair are officially dating or not, fans have seemed to calm down due to the very blunt statements of, and I quote, not giving a fuck.
POSTED : JUNE 3RD 2024.
Controversy follows Jung Yoonah wherever she goes. We were all there for when the infamous photobooth Jinah pics were posted to the Mydol Family Twitter. If you don't remember, here's a refresher:
Whichever intern posted that was obviously fired because the incident not only caused the tweet's deletion but also Mydol to release an official statement, threatening legal action if anyone makes "defamatory remarks about staff or artists" which we know Son Jinhwa is not above doing when you say something he doesn't like.
What was shocking was the 20-minute explanation video Jung Yoonah would go on to upload on her personal channel. In the video she's sitting on her bed room floor, providing her perspective on the entire situation as well as some insight on the infamous trial between her and Son Jinhwa in 2023.
"I think it's beneficial for everyone to know the truth. I did not want to leave Angelico, I did not want to sue Jinhwa or press charges against him, and I do not believe he is a bad person, which is why I took the first chance to sign with him again. All of those decisions were made for me by people who didn't and still don't care what I have to say. I never wanted to go to trial, but I'm dealing with its ramifications every day. I'm tired of it." Yoonah would start the video off guns a blazing, later going on to name-drop Lee Iseul, Carmen Bae, and former Venus member Bliss as the main people making these choices for her, which caused a massive stir online.
"With all the sincerity in my heart, please stop treating me like a child. I have had people make the most basic of decisions for me my entire life, and I would greatly appreciate it if everyone let me do what I want. I'm twenty-five years old. Let me live my life even if you don't like how I'm living it, please." This plea would cause a debate on whether or not Yoonah is capable of making her own decisions, her messy past of substance abuse, toxic relationships, and mental illness being brought up by fans and detractors alike.
While the video proved to be controversial, it got her point across and even had constellations trending #WELOVEYOUBAEBI across various platforms, which Yoonah responded to by posting an Instagram story of a black screen with a single "thank you 🤍" in the center of it. Despite this support, many are still worried about Yoonah's well-being under the management of Son Jinhwa, who was found guilty of assaulting the idol last March.
The worries seem to have fallen on deaf ears.
POSTED : DECEMBER 3RD 2023.
Son Roan, the magnetic CEO of Angelico Entertainment, was recently seen on what seemed to be a date with Yoomi, once the central figure and lead dancer of Lunarix. However, Yoomi's recent demotion by Mydol Entertainment has led many to question her abilities and intentions.
Born in 2001, Yoomi is ten years younger than Roan, who was born in 1991. Despite her youth, she has struggled to captivate the public. Both fans and critics have noted her lack of exceptional talent and her abrasive demeanor. Her appearance, which some consider average by K-pop standards, hasn't significantly boosted her popularity. This has fueled speculation that her association with Roan might be an attempt to gain attention rather than a genuine relationship.
Roan, renowned for his professionalism and keen business insight, swiftly addressed the circulating rumors. "We are merely close acquaintances," he clarified, adding, "I would never date an artist currently or formerly under my management." This statement seemed aimed at avoiding the kind of controversy that has long overshadowed his cousin, Son Jinhwa—CEO of Mydol Entertainment—who is notorious for dating younger women within his label.
Despite Roan's reassurances, public skepticism persists. Yoomi’s frequent appearances, often perceived as attention-seeking stunts, only serve to mar Roan’s otherwise stellar reputation. Her failure to secure a stable position within Lunarix has led many to question her true motives. Is she genuinely interested in Roan, or is this just another attempt to remain in the spotlight despite her waning popularity?
As the head of Angelico Entertainment, Roan has established himself as a figure of integrity and respect in the industry. It’s unfortunate that he is now caught up in this controversy, probably due to Yoomi's relentless pursuit of attention. His assertion that their relationship is strictly platonic should be sufficient to dispel the rumors, but Yoomi's controversial past makes it difficult to dismiss the suspicions entirely.
Roan works tirelessly to uphold his reputation as a respected figure in the industry, but Yoomi's relentless pursuit of fame consistently brings unwanted attention. The publc can only hope that Roan remains unaffected by this problematic association, so he can continue leading Angelico Entertainment with the same dignity and competence he has always shown.
At the moment, it appears that Roan is unjustly associated with his cousin's notorious actions due to Yoomi's frantic schemes. We can only hope that this will be a brief chapter in what will otherwise be a remarkable career for Son Roan.
POSTED : JUNE 6TH 2024.
Seoul's entertainment circles are buzzing with the latest news about Ahn Youngeun, the luminous actress and expecting mother, who was seen alone grocery shopping without her engagement ring. The missing sparkling diamond has ignited a wave of rumors concerning her relationship status with Son Jinhwa, the contentious CEO of Mydol Entertainment.
Son Jinhwa is no stranger to controversy, often making headlines for his eyebrow-raising behavior and tendency to date much younger female artists. However, last year he surprised everyone by announcing his engagement to Youngeun, the first woman his own age that he's publicly been involved with. Since then, their relationship has been closely scrutinized, and with the recent news of Youngeun's pregnancy, even more attention has been drawn to them. This new development has only intensified the public's curiosity and speculation.
At 32 years old, Youngeun was spotted without her engagement ring and in casual attire, causing speculation among fans and observers about the state of her high-profile relationship. However, when asked about it, Youngeun promptly shut down the rumors by clarifying that they are still planning to get married. She explained that she is currently pregnant and sometimes struggles with swelling, making wearing jewelry uncomfortable. She also emphasized her love for Jinhwa and how hurtful these rumors can be to her.
Son Jinhwa, 45, quickly came to his fiancée's defense. He shared a heartfelt photo from their maternity shoot on social media, captioned with "I love my wife," demonstrating their solidarity amidst the rampant rumors.
Although the couple has released statements to dispel the rumors, the public is still divided. Son's notorious history of objectifying his artists for financial gain and his controversial dating past have cast doubts on the authenticity of their relationship. Additionally, Youngeun's pregnancy and the significant age gap between them only add more complexity to the ongoing drama.
Is this merely a minor setback for the famous duo, or is something deeper at play? Time will reveal whether Youngeun and Jinhwa can withstand the turmoil and silence their critics. For now, the pair appears resolute in staying united, with or without a ring.
POSTED : JUNE 1ST 2024.
After being caught with Jung Juyeon, the failed actor turned dedicated fansite, Chloe Lee, the main vocalist of Venus, this past winter, she gave a somber apology via the Flowerbank official Youtube channel which has now been deleted.
With her hair in a low pontail, natural makeup, and a black turtle neck Chloe would stare somberly in the camera and lament how sorry she was for "abusing her power" and that "she was blinded by love" when falling for CozyChloe AKA Jung Juyeon. "I deeply regret my actions and hope you all can forgive me. I'm no longer seeing Juyeon and will begin seeing a therapist to help me with my behavior."
Yeah, all that was a lie.
On a recent URIDOL, the exclusive platform for Mydol artists, live stream Chloe would share a photobooth photo of her and none other than Lee Juyeon.
"I thought you guys broke up. No. Never. We're still in a relationship and have been even after that bullshit video," Chloe would respond to a comment with a proud grin on her face, "You guys didn't seriously believe that video, did you? I was never sorry. Iseul is just a bitch. That entire video was scripted...I should do more acting, shouldn't I?" She'd shrug her shoulders with a beaming smile.
This clip would go viral, sparking discussions of how we don't really know our idols and shouldn't trust anything put out by companies. Chloe would be scrutinized on social media for this, but only for a short amount of time, as her fans acted like the army, striking down any account that dared to speak ill of her, resulting in a whopping 52 accounts getting suspended.
Chloe would comment on the matter by posting a photo of her and Juyeon on a frozen yogurt date with a "😙" emoji, clearly unbothered.
We wish Juyeon luck.
POSTED : MARCH 13TH 2024
Angelina Choi lost the long-standing defamation lawsuit between her and Son Jinhwa, owing him an outstanding 20.7 billion won as well as a public apology, which she believed the same day she was publicly fired from her job at The Daily Idol, who also had to pay Jinhwa in damages.
"THE THING ABOUT JINHWA. The worst-kept secret in the idol industry." Was published September 6th, 2023 amid a nasty legal battle between him and Jung Yoonah AKA Baebi. This article weighed heavy allegations of grooming, pedophilia, and physical assault against Son Jinhwa, primarily focusing on the testimony from Kim Misun, an idol and estranged mother of his child. Misun would also be found guilty of defaming Jinhwa, though Jinhwa would not require her to pay him any damages, only asking for an apology behind closed doors.
Despite the jury and courts ruling in his favor, the public is split. The police records of Son Jinhwa's violence are undeniable, and the paternity of his son is also undeniable, but since the article's release, Misun has refused to release a statement. Though she didn't release a statement, her mother did, siding with Jinhwa and calling her daughter a liar. "Jinhwa never touched that girl. Those pictures are nothing more than a mentor and a mentee. She was always desperate for attention. I never thought she'd go this far. He's a good man who was good to her."
Following the verdict, Jinhwa says, "The jury gave me my life back." The public celebrates this, while Angelina Choi and Misun are shunned. Petitions to remove Misun from her group, Haute Pink, would reach over 100,000 signatures, and the group's Instagram page would be flooded with death threats and hate comments.
Flowerbank stood strong behind Misun, threatening legal action against those who slander their artist. "We believe Misun and stand firmly behind her throughout this heartbreaking verdict." But Misun, as usual, remained silent and will be absent from public appearances with her group until further notice.
Jinhwa walks a free man with a clean slate.

“Even death has a heart.” ― Markus Zusak, The Book Thief.
IN WHICH ... Did Noah ever really get to be a boy? Or has he been deemed a man from the beginning?
FEATURING ... NOAH SON + SON JINHWA
WORD COUNT … 3K
NOTES AND WARNINGS ... Hospitals. Comas. Talks of death. Medical talk. Jinhwa. Abusive parents all around the board minus Naomi, love you legend. Noah is sixteen here. Crying. Grief. Barely proofread. rbs, comments, and asks are always appreciated ♡
“He’s her next of kin.”
“He’s a child.”
“He’s listed as her emergency-”
“He is sixteen,” The doctor sharply whispers to the nurse. Noah can hear them despite them stepping outside the room, so he doesn’t. He bites the inside of his cheek, blinking at his mom as she lies still in her hospital bed. There’s a loud series of beeps from the machine beside her bed. Noah believes that’s the ventilator, and it only makes that noise when she breathes against it. Her eyes flutter sometimes, and her hands move, but she hasn’t spoken a word since yesterday morning. She’s so still.
Noah held tightly onto her hand, finally feeling her skin against his despite having been holding her hand for what had to be hours at this point. She’s cold. She’s really cold. He blinked, a tight feeling in his chest as he rose from the chair he drug over to sit next to her. He lifts her hand to his lips before placing it softly back on her stomach, only taking a few steps to be in the doorframe of her small room.
Rooms are so small in the ICU.
“She’s cold,” Noah’s deep voice announces to the whispering pair outside the room, making their whispers hush and heads turn towards him. “Can I get another blanket for her, please?” His dark eyes bounce between the woman in purple scrubs and the man in the white coat. He has greying hair and skin wrinkles when he forces a smile at Noah, nodding.
“Of course. She’ll get her one right away,” The man in the white coat says, nodding his head to the left, sending the nurse away. Noah watches her before stepping back into the room, the man trailing behind him. He told him his name but Noah can’t remember. He thinks it’s Dr.Han, but he could be Dr.Lee. He’s not too sure, and he can’t bring himself to care. All he can think of is his mother’s name. Naomi. Naomi Tsui. She’s 35 years old, and she likes to make things. She loves to cross stitch, crochet, and paint even though she doesn’t think she’s good at painting. She loves deer and the summertime. She loves Noah more than Noah thinks she should. It’s all Noah can think about now as he sits next to her bed again, knees cracking when he does.
He takes her hand into one of his while his other hand goes to his mouth, chewing on his bitten-down nailbeds. The doctor stands a few feet away from Noah, but Noah doesn’t look up at him. He can’t look away from his mother. His throat gets tighter the longer he looks at her.
“There’s no easy way to say this.” Noah thinks that’s an awful approach but he figures that’s the only way you can approach a situation like this. The doctor takes a deep breath. Noah clears his throat. The machine obnoxiously beeps again, causing Noah to shut his eyes. He hears the doctor shuffle over to mute it for a minute. It’s a process he’s seen various people in scrubs do over a million times now.
Noah opens his eyes when the room is quiet.
“But your mom is not breathing on her own.”
“The machine beeps when she breathes against it.” Noah looks up at the man, who nods sadly. “She has to breathe on her own.”
“Well, yes, but if we take her off the machine…She won’t breathe well enough on her own to fight off the infection. She’ll-”
“She’ll die. She’s already dying. I’m not blind.” Noah doesn’t mean to sound so disrespectful, but he’s not stupid. The doctor clears his throat, nodding and letting a tense silence fall over the room. Noah blinks at his mom, wishing she could tell him what to do right now. There’s a tightening in his throat that turns into heat behind his eyes, making him hold tighter onto her limp hand.
“Son…I wish I could give you good news, but her blood pressure is dropping. When her blood pressure drops, she’ll crash, and her organs will begin to fail. On her paperwork, she’s listed as an organ donor. I’m not saying we-”
“There’s no we,” Noah interrupts, pitifully this time, covering his eyes with the hand not holding his mother’s as his bottom lip quivers and tears begin to spill out. This has happened all day. On and off, he just starts crying because the reality hits him harder than he expects. He can only swallow down his circumstance before it all just comes up in soft sobs and hot tears. The doctor clears his throat.
“I’m sorry, son. I truly am.”
Noah sniffles loudly, uncovering his eyes to rest his elbows on his mother’s bed, holding her hand to his lips. He pitifully looks at her face, making another sob fall from his lips. She doesn’t look like herself. There’s a tube in her throat and in her nose, leaving her mouth slightly ajar. He hates seeing her like this, and he knows she would hate being seen like this. His mom hated leaving the house without some kind of makeup on. She likes to dress up, be pretty, be presentable, as she would say. She would hate this so much.
“What do you want?” Noah asks, not talking to the doctor, but he knows it looks like he is, and he lets him believe it.
“We need to know if you want to sign a DNR for her.”
Noah’s dark brows knit at the words. Doctors have come in and out of here all day saying words he doesn't know, nor do they explain them to him, so he either nods or asks them to dumb it down for him.
“What’s a DNR?”
The doctor gives Noah a look of pity. Noah’s stomach drops. It can’t be good.
“It stands for “Do Not Resuscitate” which means if her heart were to stop beating-”
“She would die.”
“We would not attempt to resuscitate her.” The doctor finishes with a sad nod. Noah sniffles, looking out the glass window of his mom’s room as he squeezes her hand again. Silently, he pleads to whatever God may exist to put a hand on his shoulder and tell him what to do. He doesn’t even believe in God, but now he wishes he did.
Footsteps fill the otherwise deathly quiet room. Noah sees a man in a suit rushing down the hall outside the window. Noah stands from his seat, gently placing his mother’s hand on her bed again, rushing past the doctor to the door.
“Dad!” Noah calls, voice shaking when he calls out to him. Jinhwa’s head lifts towards Noah’s direction, a wave of relief crashing over his face as he rushes towards his son, arms open.
“Hanbin,” Jinhwa sighs, taking Noah into his arms when he reaches the threshold of Naomi’s room. His hand rests on the back of Noah’s head, cradling him as he presses his face into his father’s shoulder, sobbing loudly into the fabric of Jinhwa’s fine-pressed suit. Jinhwa rests his cheek on his son’s head, his other head rubbing his back as he soothingly shushes him as if Noah were an infant. Noah holds onto his father’s torso tightly, whimpering and sobbing into his chest, releasing every pent-up cry he’s bit back throughout the entire day. Jinhwa rubs the back of his neck to calm him down, reminding Noah of when he was a child, and he would come in to put him to sleep.
“What happened? I thought she was doing better,” Jinhwa asks Noah quietly before his gaze settles on the doctor. “What’s happening? Why are you talking to my son about this? He’s sixteen, for Christ's sake.” Jinhwa pushes Noah back slightly to look at him, making Noah choke back his sobs and hold his tears back to look stronger when face to face with his father. Still, his jaw clenches, and his bottom lip wobbles. Jinhwa’s hand rests on Noah’s wet cheek, wiping away the remainder of his tears with his thumb.
“What did they tell you? I told you to call me if they started using words you didn’t understand,” Jinhwa reminds Noah, his voice soft and consoling but tears still run down Noah’s cheeks as he balls his father’s shirt in his trembling hands.
“You didn’t pick up,” Noah whispers, his voice pitching slightly. He sees regret flash in his father’s eyes as he tilts his head slightly at his son. “They used words I didn’t understand all day. I-I didn’t want to bother you after the fourth time, and then you didn’t pick up, and I-”
Jinhwa shushes Noah again, pulling his head to his chest again, holding him like a child. Despite being only sixteen, Noah is massive. He’s already six feet two with wide shoulders. His mother says he got that from her father, but he’s never met him and probably never will.
“I’m sorry. I’m sorry, Binnie. I’m here now,” Jinhwa whispers, kissing the side of Noah’s head before pushing him back again to make eye contact, nodding when their eyes meet, his hand still on the back of Noah’s neck. Noah nods, a tight sob leaving his throat despite his fight to keep it bottled in. “And we’ll figure this out together, okay?”
Noah nods, sobbing again.
“Okay.”
Noah is alone with his mother again. His hand holding hers again. Now, she has a pink blanket draped over her unmoving body. The machines are beeping annoyingly again. The sun has gone down. His father is still talking with the doctor.
Noah doesn’t understand the legalities of the DNR. He doesn’t care to. All he’s grasping is that his father isn’t married to his mother and isn’t mentioned in her will, leaving Noah as her only kin. When asked about her parents, the doctors told them that they refused to speak to them, claiming they didn’t have a daughter named Naomi anymore. Noah heard whispers of her parents disowning her for his birth, but he didn’t know it was so deeply rooted they would refuse to acknowledge her dying. It leaves Noah with a rock in his stomach. His mother was nothing but kind. She was a good mom and took care of everyone. She was supposed to be a nurse before Noah was born. Noah bit the inside of his cheek, looking down at the aluminum tiles on the ground as the nurse in the purple scrubs came in to fix her breathing tube.
While looking at the ground, he sees a bag of yellow liquid attached to her bed with a tube going up and under her blankets. Noah blinks at the bag, unsure of what it is.
“What is that?” Noah asks the nurse calmly. The nurse looks behind her shoulder to where Noah is pointing.
“That’s her urinary catheter,” She answers, causing Noah’s brows to knit, blinking at the bag a few times before finally looking up at the nurse.
“So, that’s her piss?” The nurse blinked at him, unable to read how he felt as his face read of nothing, but his tone was hard. She nods.
“Basically. She can’t control her bladder right now, so the tube drains it into that bag.” It’s the most straightforward anyone has been with him all day. He nods, forcing a small and short smile before looking at his mother’s face again.
She would hate that. She would hate this. Having a bag of piss attached to her bed–God, just the thought of the face she would make has Noah sitting up straighter and biting the inside of his cheek. He looks outside the window, watching his father talk to the doctor with a look of agitation on his face. Noah blinks, looking back at his mom, nodding as he leans in closer to her face.
“Mama,” Noah whispers in English. She never spoke Korean to him. She didn’t think she was good at it. Her hand twitches, and he can feel his eyes get wet. “I love you. I-I really love you so much. I should’ve told you that more, but you’re my favorite person in the whole world. I love you so much. You…You’ve taken such good care of me-” Noah stops when his throat closes on him, making his eyes shut tightly and tears slip down onto his sheets. A droplet lands on the back of her hand, making Noah bring her knuckles to his lips again. He kisses her cold skin once more.
“I’m going to take care of you now, okay? I’m gonna–I’m gonna take care of this, okay? You don’t have to fight anymore unless you want to,” Noah tells her with a deep breath, reaching up to brush her long black hair behind her ear. “You can rest now. It’s okay.”
Noah leans forward, pressing his lips to her forehead. She’s cold even with the blankets.
Noah sniffles, looking at the nurse who stands by the ventilator with a sorrowful look in her eyes. Noah clears his throat, motioning towards his mom when he stands from his chair.
“Can you stay in here with her? Please?” For a moment,, it looked like she might refuse, but when she saw Noah still holding her hand like a lost child, she nodded and offered Noah a superficial smile.
Noah gently lays his mother’s hand down on the bed to leave the room, walking over to where his father and the doctor were. He can hear them talking about options and procedures that could be done to give his mother more time but they fall silent when Noah approaches. Jinhwa puts his hand on Noah’s shoulder but Noah doesn’t look at him.
“I want to sign the DNR.”
“Hanbin,” Jinhwa says sharply. Noah’s eyes divert to the floor at the sound of his father’s voice. “This isn’t your choice. You’re far too young, and there are options–”
“Are there actually options, Dad? Or is this prolonging the inevitable?” Noah asks, looking up at him to be met with a cold gaze. Jinhwa’s hand tightens on Noah’s shoulder, making Noah grit his teeth slightly at the dull pain that shoots through his body. Noah’s gaze turns towards the doctor with a raise of his brows.
“Give me the DNR.”
“Noah.” Jinhwa’s voice echoes through the halls, causing nurses to look up from their paperwork. Noah turns his attention to his dad, pointing towards his mother’s room.
“She has a bag of piss hanging off her bed. You know her, Dad. She would hate this. This would be humiliating for her,” Noah explains to him, but Jinhwa looks unwavering, causing Noah to shake his head. “This isn’t what she wants, and you know it.”
Jinhwa exhales a breath he doesn’t know he’s holding, clearing his throat as he rubs the lower half of his face. He shakes his head, letting go of Noah’s shoulder.
“You’re letting her die.”
“That’s not fair, Dad.”
“You’re just giving up on her,” Jinhwa persists, motioning towards Naomi’s room. “He’s giving us options–”
“The options are shit, Dad! We either keep letting them pump her full of drugs, ruin her organs, and then she dies anyway! We get what? Two? Three more days of her unconscious in a bed? You know she would hate that! She would hate this!” Jinhwa gives Noah a warning look when he raises his voice at him, letting go of his shoulder to turn away from him with a loud sigh. Noah knows he’s calming himself down. He’s heard that sigh plenty of times throughout his life.
The doctor looks between the two of them.
“Ultimately, it’s up to Noah–”
“Shut the fuck up,” Jinhwa groans when the doctor starts to speak again, turning away from home with a frustrated groan. The man nods with curled lips. Noah stares at his father, who avoids his gaze.
“I’m doing what she wants. Do you think she wants to be a vegetable? You know her,” Noah says. He doesn’t know why he’s trying to reason with his father about this. When his dad is pissed, all he cares about is being right or getting his way. Reason and logic don’t matter whenever he’s angry. Still, Jinhwa meets Noah’s gaze, jaw tight and eyes dark.
“You’re being selfish.” Noah feels the sting of his words in his chest, but he tightens his posture and grits his teeth to prevent his bottom lip from wobbling.
“I’m doing what she wants. I’m sorry you don’t like it,” Noah says with the strongest voice he can muster. He looks back at the doctor, who stands with his hands locked in front of him, only looking up over his thin-rimmed glasses when Noah looks at him. Noah nods, releasing a breath he didn’t know he was holding.
“What’s next?”
Noah soon learns that there’s a lot of paperwork revolving around dying. He’s scribbled his signature what feels like two thousand times before it’s finally done, and he’s back in his mother’s room. He’s sitting on her left side, and his father is sitting on her right. They both hold one of her hands. Jinhwa hasn’t stopped looking at her face since he got in here. Noah just stares at her hand. She stopped twitching hours ago. Any sign of life seems to be made by the machines she’s attached to.
The room has been silent for a solid hour. Noah wishes his dad would say something to break the silence but he doesn’t. He holds onto it to punish his son like he always did. Noah looks up at his mom’s face, sighing softly.
“She wouldn’t want you to see her like this,” Noah whispers. Jinhwa doesn’t say anything. “She told me she didn’t even let you in the delivery room because she didn’t want you to see her sweaty and crying.”
Jinhwa shuts his eyes, chuckling softly. He nods.
“I tried to go in, and she told me to get the fuck out,” He reminisces quietly. Noah laughs through his nose, smiling genuinely for the first time in what feels like years. Jinhwa looks up at Naomi’s face, stroking her cheek silently with the back of his hand. “She never knew how beautiful she was…I never understood it.”
Then, there was silence again. Noah rubs his lips together, biting the inside of his cheeks when he looks at his mother’s face, realizing he’ll never see her eyes fully open again. His lips curl in as hot tears flash in his eyes, making him hold tighter onto her hand.
“I don’t understand why this happened to her,” Noah admits softly, not expecting a response from his father. He doesn’t get one. Jinhwa doesn’t even look at him. “None of this makes sense. I don’t know why her. She’s such a good person. This shouldn’t have–”
“Hanbin,” Jinhwa interrupts sharply, causing Noah’s teary eyes to look up at his father. Jinhwa’s gaze is filled with disappointment and contempt, making Noah feel like he’s two feet tall. “Stop crying. You made this choice. Deal with it like a man, and stop fucking crying.”
Noah’s watery eyes stare at Jinhwa for a sign of remorse or even some comfort, but he’s granted none. All he’s given is a coldness a judge would give a murderer. Noah feels sick, but he doesn’t move from his chair. He blinks at Jinhwa a few more times before turning his gaze back to his mother.
Noah doesn’t say another word for the rest of the night.

THE MOON COLLECTION was a 2020 survival show hosted by Angelico Entertainment to create their next big girl group. Following tradition for their survival shows, The Moon Collection would be rather brutal and hard to watch, pushing the 45 trainees to their breaking points weekly in hopes of debuting in the final group.
After 14 grueling episodes, the final 12 trainees would wait to see who would get into the six spots for the at the time unnamed group. The members were chosen through a voting system through the public as well as a point system decided by the rotating panel of judges.
The final lineup would consist of Navi Pandya, Jang Yoomi, Charlotte "Cherry" Kim, Luna Müller, Isla "Love" Williams, and Kim Yuna, Navi Pandya, Jang Yoomi, Charlotte "Cherry" Kim, Luna Müller, Isla "Love" Williams, and Kim Yuna, which caused a massive uproar online due to Yuna and Yoomi making it in the lineup over fan favorites Castiel and Sooah.
Yuna and Yoomi would be consistent favorites of Son Roan, a main judge throughout the show's run and the group's creative director and manager.
It's noted that Yuna is not that talented. She's very pretty, and she's very funny, but she blends into the background while on stage and is often given rap parts that she butchers. In her defense, she was never training to be an idol. She was a model before joining The Moon Collection. While Yoomi showcased her talent and put her three years of training to good use, people could not help but notice the glaringly obvious angel edit that the producers were shoving down viewers' throats.
Though these complaints would fall on deaf ears and the group would go on to debut just three months after the show concluded with the name LUNARIX.
