🔪 The Others (2001) Among the most dearest to me. Ghosts stories got me and this is an exceptional one. 🔪 Hereditary (2018) Me squirming on my seat in a nearly empty theatre. I went knowing nothing except miniatures, Toni Collette, A24. Oh boy. The somber, grounded drama of the familiar grief grip me real bad. Then that night happened. Her cry, his dread. I was in pain. I stopped thinking and just went along with them feeling it all and it was awful. Awful. Things started to escalate and I did not know where we were going and I was scared for real — to add context, I don't get scared with horror movies. Now I rewatch it and have fun but that first time was a certified anxiety ridden watch. 🔪 Creature from the Black Lagoon (1954) I don't watch many B movies. This was the immediate one in my mind. I do like the classic monsters and the Creature is a weirdo overdue of horny jail time. I enjoy the setting, the mood, the lore, and the vibe of it all. The underwater scenes in black and white are as eerie as pretty.

I’ll be honest, I’m kind of a fake Trekkie. I haven’t seen ANY of them in full, I just vaguely know the plot lines of all the generations. But whenever I catch my family watching your ready room, I ALWAYS sit down to watch with them. Your enthusiasm for every part of the universe is contagious, and it’s always so nice to share in someone’s passion, even if it’s through a TV screen. Seeing you be so unabashedly excited lifts my own spirits, I guess? Lmao. Anyway, just wanted to say I love watching you in it.

I feel like someone once told you that unless you like Star Trek in this one specific way, you aren't a "real" fan.

I would like to retroactively tell that person to shut up and let you enjoy things.

There are ENORMOUS parts of the Star Trek universe I know nothing about. I still haven't watched a full episode of Enterprise, and haven't seen more than a handful of Voyager.

But you'd be hard pressed to find someone who loves Star Trek more than I do, because the love we feel for things comes from inside us, from a place that an insecure gatekeeper can't touch, unless you let them.

You don't need permission to casually enjoy and love Star Trek, but I'll give you this "Wil Wheaton Says Shut The Fuck Up And He Outranks You" card to play when someone tells you that you aren't a "real" fan, because you can't rattle off the combination to Kirk's safe.

Questioning whether you're endo or traumagenic and figuring out you're mixed origins is actually terrifying on the trauma side.

I know I have some sort of trauma. I know that something must have happened. I feel it. But I can't remember. And I worry that it's something my brain made up. But I'm more scared to remember if it is real. Does that make sense.

The weird want to remember and also completely forget it is weird. I don't know. It's all just scary.

More info: Felix is a young jester, who loves to play pranks on their headmates and plan fun parties. !! Enjoys playing pretend and acting like other headmates, but often, because of th⭐ir silly jokes and puns, you can tell that it's laugh. Zi tries as best as fun can to make people laugh, making a fool of themself and playing to people's humor, but won't do anything too demeaning. 

They love to study bugs and play games, and listen to music that makes them feel good. When this offputs others, it makes ha feel sad. They hate negativity, or when someone purposefully brings down the mood or energy. Dark jokes/humor is okay, but when star thinks it may be triggering/too dark, they change the subject as best they can. 

If you want a distraction, Sparky is your fool! They'll try to entertain you as best as they can (showing you your interests, playing music you like, ect.) But if you have work, they will avoid it like the plague.

They'll be everyone's friend, but only true friends will see their soft sides, so take care of your jokester! !t may be a jack of all trades, but squeals only human… mostly.
