Marin washed up in Calatia, post Link's Awakening. The owners of a tavern in town gave her work and a place to stay, and Marin quickly learned that drunk people were sometimes assholes. She had to grow a thick skin, but eventually got used to the nature of her job (as well as learning that she could bat her eyelashes at some people and swindle them out of money/gifts/favors). She doesn't know much about where Legend is, or if he's even around in the time period she ended up in, but she's hoping to save up enough money in order to travel to Hyrule and find out...

Finally a ref for Marin!! I love her sososososo much, so I wanted to finalize an outfit for her before committing to a ref, bc she deserves something good!! I think I'm happy with this. The design on her corset is supposed to be reminiscent of waves.

Details not pictured: Her skirt falls to mid calf, and fades from the powdery blue at the top to the lighter blue that's the main color of her corset. For footwear, she has ankle boots that lace up and cream colored socks.

I dunno why but I feel like I need to clarify Some things about me because I hate it when people misunderstand me and then think badly of me.

So. Some things about me and that I'm about:

- I'm 35, on the spectrum, suffer with chronic anxiety and have struggled my entire life to connect with people

- My special interest is Käärijä and the absolute love of my life. Writing is my second love with arts and crafts following closely behind and I glean immense joy from creating Käärijä related things with these hobbies

- I also enjoy sharing and making people smile for two reasons. 1. Sometimes all it takes to make someone's day is a kind gesture and 2. I've been in the pits of hell and it's not something I want anyone else to feel

- We have grown so accustomed to everyone speaking in riddles and having multiple meanings to their comments that often people take what I say to mean something different but from the bottom of my heart - if I say something then that's what I mean. There's no hidden agenda there's no double meaning. I mean what I say and I say what I mean. People have taken things I have said before and got mad at me for a reason that they put there but then I feel bad and then get too afraid to speak and isolate and then the sadness begins

- I like to think I don't care what people think of me but the chronic people pleaser within me does care. This means that sometimes I come across as a try hard. I'm sorry, I'm just trying to connect in the only way I know and I also don't want people to think badly of me because I always try to be a good person

- Because I struggle to communicate properly, if someone tells a story I will tell a story back to show I empathise with them and can understand where they're coming from. Sometimes people think I'm self centred and I'm sorry, I'm not, it's just again, how I try to connect. Like if someone shares a käärijä pic they like I'll do the same because I'm trying to connect and empathise, not to show off or one up them

- When someone is mad at me or someone confuses me with something I'm unfamiliar with, I'll try and understand by asking questions and talking about it until I understand. Some people will take that as argumentative and I'm sorry, I'm not trying to argue, I'm trying to understand

- Käärijä - my favourite artist. My favourite song is Autiomaa because I relate so much to it. Does it say a lot? Not sure. It says something

- Käärijä is super special to me not just because he's a special interest but because he has a good soul, a heart of gold and he stands for everything I believe in which is inclusion, kindness and just... laughing and not taking things too seriously

- I found käärijä at a time in my life when I needed him most and he's been there for me ever since. Because of him I also now have more friends than I've ever had, more creative inspiration than I've ever had and more love than I've ever had

I guess my point is really that käärijä has positively impacted on my life in ways he will never know, and the fandom has done the same for me, and Id probably go so far as to say this place and käärijä has saved my life. I don't want that spoiled by people misunderstanding me so I thought I'd just put this out there to just clarify who I am to everyone but also I needed to remember too amidst big feelings. I try to be a good person, but I am just a human being after all, like everyone else.

Note 2: Some of these pieces of lore that I get also come from their pages on the Alien wiki, not just the dossiers I linked. I wanted various different sources to look at than just one. Nostromo Crew Lore:

Dallas ❤️:

•His birthday is February 27th, 2076!

•He’s from Montana

•When he was thirty years old (June 1st, 2106) he was commissioned into the United Americas Outer Rim Defense Fleet. He was a lieutenant!

•He fought in the Torin Prime Civil War from when he was thirty to when he was thirty-two as a pilot.

•After liberating Torin Prime he gained a promotion to captain and received the Sunburst Medal of Honor.

•He lost the UAS Archangel in an enemy attack in 2109.

•It ended terribly, ultimately leading to him getting a dishonorable discharge in January of 2110.

•Dallas went missing in action for three years after that (2110-2113)…like no one knows what happened to him. I really want to know where he went during this time period honestly

•Then he casually smuggles weapons and medical supplies into The Solomons in 2113.

•He buys his own ship (Tremolino) in 2114 and owns it until 2118, when it gets decommissioned. His crew also got disbanded.

•Dallas worked for the Tyrell Company at one point! (Blade Runner mention ‼️)

•It’s noted in his psych evaluation towards the bottom of the page that he had some effects of mild psychosis while doing work as an executive officer. He had hostility towards authority figures and it was subliminated.

•Unrelated to his file, but according to the Alien: Isolation novelization, Dallas meets Ripley and Amanda at some point in the 2110s. Ripley and Dallas end up being really good friends! He offered her a position on his crew. She didn’t take it at the time, but she did end up working with him later on The Nostromo upon his request.

Kane 🤍:

•He’s from the UK! :)

•His birthday is April 20th, 2083 according to the dossiers I linked; but in another set it’s March 28th, 2081. I’m going to stick with April 20th as his birthday.

•He graduated with honors both from private school and military school.

•He was in medical school from 2104-2108 until he got expelled due to dealing with issues of substance/drug abuse. He got treated for it. He would’ve been around twenty-one to twenty-four.

•He later got a Masters degree in Engineering in 2112.

•He served as a Mission Analyst at one point from 2115-2117.

•It’s noted in his psych evaluation that he’s a very idealistic overachiever and due to being under pressure in school caused him to have addiction issues.

•There’s a warning in his psych evaluation about his high levels of idealism and impulsiveness made him a poor candidate for work.

Ripley 💙:

•Ripley’s birthday is on January 7th, 2092!

•Ripley wasn’t born on Earth, she was born on Olympia, a colony on the moon!

•She had to quarantine from the time she was two years old until she was eighteen years old due to a virus outbreak.

•Ripley was very good at law, ethics, and corporate while in school. She also graduated at the top of her class. I like to imagine she probably would’ve wanted to be a lawyer at some point.

•Unrelated to her file, but I did the math in my free time because Amanda Ripley was born in 2112. Ripley would’ve been twenty years old when she had Amanda.

•According to her file, Ripley negotiated an end to a hostage crisis. 49 lives were saved and 8 terrorists were convicted. That was on October 16th, 2115. If you do the math, Ripley would’ve been twenty-three years old.

•She requested for maternity leave and Weyland-Yutani denied her the maternity leave in 2118. She sued them and got her flight license and salary suspended. I hate Weyland-Yutani.

•At least she got it back and got maternity leave before her trip on the Sotillo.

•If you scroll further down the page, it’ll show some of the crew’s psych evaluations. Under Ripley’s, before she had to leave on the Nostromo trip, it’s noted she wanted to stay with her daughter due to experiencing severe feelings of guilt over her lack of contact with Amanda.

(^ That really got me. I think that actually haunts me.)

Lambert 🧡:

•She’s from Canada!

•Her birthday is November 7th, 2093 (she’s the youngest crew member…)

•She has a masters degree in Astro-Cartography, so I think it has something to do with reading maps related to space (considering her role as a navigator), she graduated in 2112.

•She was an intern at Ridton Corp. from June-September 2112.

•She got married in October of 2112 (she would’ve been 18), then divorces Xander Chapman in February of 2114 (she would’ve been 20).

•Lambert got married again in September of 2118 and divorced Lordan Hessutt in January of 2120 (She would’ve been 24 the second time she got married; then 26 when she divorced him…if I did the math wrong please correct me).

•It’s mentioned in her dossier that she’s transgender! :)

•Also, not shown in her dossier in the post I linked, but in the background of Aliens (1986), it’s mentioned on her dossier when it’s shown on the background (if you look closely), it states “slight hyperactivity and nervousness diagnosed” so I think she’s neurodivergent too. :)

Parker 💚:

•Parker is from California!

•His birthday is February 4th, 2080

•Parker was originally a pit mechanic at one point from 2100-2104. He quit his job over a salary dispute.

•Parker, like Dallas, was also in the United Americas Outer Rim Defense Fleet during the Torin Prime Civil War. He was in Skyfire Down and his rank was Private (January 9th, 2105-June 14th, 2107…he would’ve been around twenty-five to twenty-eight years old.)

•It makes me wonder if they’ve heard of each other or even if they knew each other at any point while in the Outer Rim Defense Fleet.

•He later gets promoted to corporal and is a chief mechanic from June to August of 2107.

•Unfortunately on August 1st, 2107, Parker was captured by J’har Rebels and ended up becoming a prisoner of war from August 2107-February 2108. :(

•He manages to escape his imprisonment on February 21st, 2108 by building an emergency escape vehicle out of scrap!

•He later gets honorably discharged in October of 2108.

•He becomes besties with Brett on the USCSS Nonnabo in 2117.

•On his Xenopedia page, it’s mentioned that he dislikes authority figures. (According to the Anthology set)

Brett 💛:

•Brett’s from Texas!

•His birthday is July 13th, 2069

•He worked as a hardware specialist at a solar energy plant from 2094-2095, but it later got terminated.

•He worked at Ridton Corp. in 2096 (same place Lambert worked at!!)

•He piloted cargo ships through a war zone at high speed, causing his to be suspended from work…yikes.

•He has troubles with alcoholism

•While going through detox in 2112, he unfortunately suffered from brain damage.

•It’s implied in his psych evaluation that he had a troubled family life and violent childhood memories :(

•Parker helped him out tremendously, so I really love the both of them a lot.

•There’s not really much on his dossier other than the fact he was with the crew two days before leaving Thedus.

•Apparently Ridley Scott explained in a interview at one point that he gave Ian Holm information about Ash (ie. place of birth, education, etc,) however that information was never really made fully known to everyone and it’s likely a cover-up for the fact he’s an android.

There are many reasons you may have chosen a life of piracy

Perhaps, born into poverty, you seek out a crew to plunder valuables with as an escape from a life of scarcity

Or perhaps, born to a relatively affluent shopkeeper, you save funds to purchase a hefty ship in hopes of exploration: to see a world beyond England

Maybe you are fortunate enough to be born wealthy, but wishing for the thrill of adventure, you steal your dowry, or other funds of money from your family, to buy a ship and sail away

I think all these different situations would alter the way Norrington develops an obsession with you

If you are already born into privilege, as the child to a title-bearing, land-owning father, you would likely have made James Norrington's acquaintance after debuting into society

Since he laid eyes on you, he fell besotted with your appearance

Being from a family with prestigious name would amplify his obsession with you from the start, as he can marry you both to satisfy own infatuation, and for your well-known family name

Even if you were from a well-to-do merchant or member of the gentry, it wouldn't be far out-of-place for someone of his social rank to marry you

However, being born into poverty or as a member of the yeomanry, I don't think he would have a reason to meet you before chasing you as a pirate

Once you commit to a life of piracy, he would begin to take notice of you

You and your crew become a real thorn in the side of the East India Trading Company, plundering cargo ships and stealing their goods

At first your skills in looting and making a quick escape are a nuisance only worthy of "wanted" posters that send scrappy bounty hunters after you

These bounty hunters have the tendency to end up at the bottom of the ocean, however

Soon it is clear that you're no longer a fly that needs swatting, but rather a wasp that needs to be exterminated

Your piracy has become a real detriment to the East India Company's profits

Norrington, either voluntarily or under orders, takes a ship and seeks out you and your crew

Even if he knew you before, he would have no way of knowing you were to become a dreaded pirate

All he knows is that you had disappeared, and were presumably kidnapped, or worse, dead

No matter how elusive you may be, Norrington has years of experience in catching pirates

Talent and luck can't equate to experience--he's been at this far longer than you've been a pirate

So when he eventually ambushes your ship, you're woefully unequipped to prevent the grappling hooks from chipping into the side of your ships, and hopelessly outnumbered by navy officers

If he recognizes you from before your days of piracy, his heart might as well stop in his chest once he sees you now

He would be far more merciful towards you if he knew you before, believing himself capable of reforming you from your ways

Otherwise, he feels that his attraction towards you is a betrayal to his values, but at the same time it would crush him to dispose of you as he does with other pirates

As he gets to know you, he might twist it into his head that you are a victim and that he can save you and show you the error in your ways, specifically if you grew up from a poor background

And if you manage to escape...

He's done foolish things to take down pirates he hates, but for someone he loves...you'd best believe he would chase you to the ends of the world to capture you again

Overall, I think he would be much more lenient towards you if he knew you before you turned into a pirate

He believes that you must have been led astray by some evil influence, or forced into your lifestyle

Whereas if he didn't know you before, he may be harsher towards you in combating his own inner turmoil of having feelings for you

He may feel he has to make an example of you, not just for others, but for himself

You're not someone he can marry...so how have you gotten him so wrapped around your finger?

Either way, you don't want to face the wrath of this navy officer

I'd suggest you make haste now in escaping, as he won't be giving you a head start

He'd travel through hell to get you back in his grasp

The soft, gentle tones of Amit's voice drifted from the bedroom as he read a bedtime story to Rian. MC was in her own bed nursing baby Isha, her fingers gently stroking the soft black hair on her head. She gazed down at her daughter, the love in her heart so powerful for such a tiny bundle.

She thought of her life before Hogwarts, an orphan in a London workhouse, and how the small minds of the people there would have shunned her for having a mixed race child. How could anyone not love the faces of her children? She had been truly blessed.

As she burped baby Isha, and settled her down in the wicker basket crib, MC smiled fondly at her memories of her courtship. How Amit had swept her off her feet with his quiet charm and thoughtfulness. He had made it so easy for her to fall in love.

Entering the Wizarding World had been an exciting but terrifying time, MC had found herself having to dig very deep to summon the strength and bravery to face all of her trials. Her friends had tried to help her, but it was Amit who provided a guiding light through it all.

He was her very own star in the darkness.

With Isha settled, MC went to the kitchen to make some tea. She liked to have a nice cup before bed. As the water boiled and she made up the pot, she heard the creak of the stairs and Amit appeared. He saw the pot on the table.

"Oh, lovely. I could do with a cup," he said. He yawned and stretched. "Rian had so many questions for me tonight, and he tried to talk me into one more story. He has quite the inquisitive mind," he said proudly.

"I wonder where he gets that from," MC smirked.

Amit came to press a kiss to her cheek. "He has your thirst for rule breaking though, don't think I haven't noticed."

MC gave him her most innocent smile. "I'm sure I don't know what you mean."

He slid his arms around her waist and pressed a kiss to her neck. "You have a wild streak within you my love, it was part of the attraction," he said. "You were so wild and carefree, like some fairy tale creature who came to save us, and then you stole my heart."

MC glowed under his words and fiddled with the front of his shirt. "If you are trying to seduce me, Amit, then it's working," she smirked.

"Really?" His eyebrows lifted and his hands dared slide a little lower, over her bottom and hips. He kissed her neck again.

MC smiled. "Hmm, keep talking."

"Talking? Surely, there are far more fun and intriguing things to do with my mouth than talk," he murmured. He gently sucked at her neck, moving his mouth downwards, still sucking.

MC gave a little gasp, her head tilting to allow him more access. His hand dragged up her nightdress and he smoothed his palm over the skin of her thigh and hip. Amit was a very considerate and gentle lover, it was not often he did anything to surprise her. But he seemed rather fiery this evening.

"Are you feeling naughty, my love?" She teased.

He moaned in agreement and slid his hand between her thighs. "You are so beautiful, skin so tempting," he groaned. He slid two fingers inside her and MC felt her desire begin to spiral into a lovely burn. "I love how your body welcomes me."

He shifted and grabbed her about the waist, lifting her to sit on the edge of the kitchen table, pushing up her nightdress to expose her to him. He licked his lips, his eyes glazed with desire. "Amit!" She gasped, surprised.

He sank to his knees, gripping her thighs and buried his face into her folds, his tongue swirling and teasing. MC gave a quiet cry of surprised delight, her hands gripping the edge of the table. What had come over her husband? He was not usually like this!

As his mouth worked, sending shivers of delight through her, she tried to recall a time when they had done anything like this anywhere other than a bed. Amit was quite proper, and could be shy, sweet, when it came to sex. But this? Wow. And MC was certainly not complaining.

Her fingers reached to comb through the silky softness of his hair, her breaths coming quicker as she climbed to a release. As she shuddered around him, panting softly, she expected him to take her up the stairs. But he did not.

MC watched, amazed as he undid his trousers just enough to release the swollen shaft of his arousal. He lined up to enter her, right there at the edge of the table and she moaned as he filled her.

She let her head fall back, ready and willing for the familiar feel of him, but then had to grab the edge of the table as he began to thrust, hard. Her mouth fell open and she stared at him, at the intense look of lust on his face, the way his lips parted as he panted.

"Amit," she breathed. "My goodness!"

"Gods, my love," he groaned. He picked up the pace, his hands gripping and pulling her closer as he thrust again and again.

She was teetering on the edge of the table, the tea cups rattling in their saucers. She was breathless, aroused beyond belief at her husband's lust. Her gaze flicked towards the stairs in fear of waking little Rian, her ears attuned to the sounds of little feet. But they were not disturbed.
