Hello dearest,

Anything planned for Halloween? 👉👈

First and foremost? Seasonal cooking and movie nights with friends. 🤩✨🎃 I've been so busy with work lately that I haven't really had the time to indulge in much of anything (it pays very well mind you, and I get to do something that I love as a living so it's definitely a blessing 🩵), but I've also been wanting to explore smaller hobbies more and try some interesting recipes I've recently come across. ^-^

In terms of art, I've dusted off a couple of older concepts with the intention to eventually finish a few for my personal entertainment; though I must say I very rarely make stuff that revolves around yearly events and holidays. 👀 Of all the ideas I've ever drawn, I could probably count on just one hand those that are Halloween-themed, but a lot of what I paint uses Autumn palettes so I guess that balances it out! 🤭🎨 I'd love to make something rustic and spontaneous this year, like a wooden sculpture or handcrafted decoration. I'll see how that goes! 💕

Small Update!

🪦: Some last minute shirt productions that I designed and love! The images on the shirts are so powerful and I think this is my favorite line of shirts so far! The three of us have been busy with our “human” jobs and are just glad we get a break from them. Some Hell doesn’t necessarily take a break and things speed up during the holidays we decided we’ll have a little holidays fun this year! The three of us, Persephone and a couple other figures will be there and it’ll just be all homey and fun 🥰 If you’ll like to come the doors are fully open, if you can bring something to eat, it can be a little pollock!

🔮: While Hel is doing her last couple fashion designs I got asked to do a last minute Halloween/scary look book for my makeup looks. I was asked to model for a few so here’s one of the looks, I don’t know exactly the character but Set told me she’s from an anime *tilts her head a little* I don’t really know what that is either, I’m still learning some of these human pop culture things-. *sheepish shy smile* I-If anyone is interested in the look book it’ll be available in most bookstores and online. I hope to see you at the little get together.

🫐: I’m glad to finally catch a break…somewhat. I had to take some pictures for the company’s webpage and as the CEO I need to get my picture updated. After that a couple papers need to be signed and that’s all for “human” work. I’ll be at the get together shortly but I’ll have to step away to do some soul sorting. Per said she’ll keep me company so I’m not alone while doing it but I just want her to have fun. 🛒 What are some common things you incorporate in your fics? Themes, feels, scenes, imagery, etc.

Coldness. Domesticity. Whump. Challenging gender roles (according to Bun).

I've gotten skilled at characterisation and turning "s/he would not fucking say/do that" into something plausible.

🛠What tools/programs/apps do you use to write?

Online: Microsoft Word

Offline: Libre Office.

I am open to suggestions if anyone uses anything other than these and GDocs, which I tried and hated.

🍦 What's the sweetest fic you've created so far?

Cinnamon Bun (The Language of Love) for sure!

💖 What made you start writing?

Time, boredom, depression and watching Stargate Atlantis for the first time and catching feels for McShep.

❌ What's a trope you will never write?

I can't imagine ever writing an omegaverse fic. I would have said high school/collage AUs, but I did write a Laura & Rodney teen fic that had a high school setting. Probably a one off though.

🎃 Do you write fics for certain holidays? Which is your favorite holiday inspired fic?

I have written a halloween fic, a christmas fic, and another christmas fic. Holidays are good inspo. I think I have a couple of unfinished valentine's wips in a folder somewhere I should look at.

🎨 How do you feel about fan art of your stories?

There's some very cool podfic covers of some of my fics that rock my socks!

🦅 Do you outline fics or fly by the seat of your pants?

Shorter ones just happen, but if they start to expand or I already know they're multichap or a series then I definitely make a plan. Plans change a lot though because sometimes when I write it goes off in an unexpected direction.

🤗 What advice would you give to new fanfic writers that are just getting started?

Just write. A crap draft can be edited, a blank page can't. Start with the idea that's burning in your mind. Expand on it later, in both directions if you want.

There's a tumblr post going around that says if you are stuck in a scene, go back a few lines, the problem is there, I've found that to be true more often than not.

Sometimes a story is just a single scene, and that's enough. I wrote an OFMD fic that I intended to be a 5+1, but ended up posting as a oneshot instead and it was better for that choice than it ever could have been if I'd struggled on.

🎉 What leads you to consider a fic a success?

Hard to say. I get immmense satisfaction in finishing a fic. Sharing it is nervewracking, but if a few people kudos I'm thrilled. We all want validation on some level. 10 kudos and I stop worrying!

🤯 What's a genre you struggle with as a writer (ex. romance, action, etc.)?

Genres aren't so much a problem for me, I'm up for most things. Some are easier than others, like angst and whump and fluff, but there's nothing I think of as a struggle. The things I struggle with a more grammatical than thematic.

💥 How do you feel about criticism?

I get asked that a lot so I wrote a thing on my AO3 page.

If you hate everything I've written from present tense to an au setting to queer themes, I might not be the writer for you..."

Most of the "concrit" I've had has been bigotry, and I'm sure everyone already knows my tolerence for that. If something's posted, I'm pretty much done with it, except when I go back and reread it after posting and find a dozen typos that did not exist in my final draft!

My most used additional tags are fluff, post-apocalypse and survival, so make of that what you will!

🎨Are you neurodivergent or disabled? Anything that uniquely affects your RPing?

I have Aspergers Syndrome. A few folks have tried getting me to declare myself as disabled, but I'm not. I'm not "abnormal." The way I see reality is that everyone ELSE is weird and I get told I have to play pretend for them instead of being me.

I have bad funk days and it inspires me to write angst.....so maybe that's something?

🦊 What is the ambiance like, where you are? Are there any sounds, or sights that might be distinctive?

I live in the hills, so in the distance you'll hear a distant train, car crashes, kids burning rubber and getting INTO said car crashes....and animals like mourning dives, hawks, owls and a woodpecker or two. XD

It's quiet where I live, so long as someone isn't blasting a concert next dour until midnight.

A freaking nightmare lol. I work retail and the most Karens and Chads show up around that time demanding returns on year-old Christmas lights and already dried out and dying trees.

Yeah, I don't have fun with holidays anymore (except for Halloween.)

🎃 I don’t really do themed stories, I did one for a Valentine’s Day fic exchange last year. I would love to do a Halloween horror but let’s be real I’m not going to have my act together fast enough. I don’t really like Christmas or anything like that, so I don’t really know. I’m sure there is one it’s just not coming to my mind rn sorry!

🎨 if someone put the time and effort into making fan art of my fics then I would be so overwhelmed with love and appreciation 🥺 it’s such a kind thing to do.

👀 I have a series around Tarlos kinky firsts and explorations but also my “big” WIP is a mystery au where TK has come to Austin to find his missing father and meets a mysterious Carlos whose a little too interested in his investigation 🤐

🤩 my favourite character to write has to probably be Owen or Mateo. I think I love being an airhead man. It’s so much fun 😂
