its you parallels/foreshadows so many things in the view from halfway down. like you really dont notice until you're rewatching:

- bojack saying a lot of people will be there when he dies in response to diane. diane turns out to be right. no one was around to stop him

- him driving the tesla into the pool which is how he almost dies

- both happen after a night of heavy drinking/drug use

- both happen after a life changing event. its you being nominated for an oscar and the view from halfway down signing papers that will remove him from horsing around permanently and finding out he let herb down for no reason

- both involve diane, its you hes arguing with her after she tried to check on him, in the view from halfway down hes calling and she actually isnt picking up or even able to check on him. (that one goes crazy)

also interesting that both episodes are in seasons 3 and then 6 and they mirror each other. i love the writers for bojack they were really eating

I would burn the world down for she/they Marlene. I think the fandom are so willing to talk about gender when it comes to Regulus being trans and Sirius is often headcanoned as being genderfluid which I love as a genderfluid person, but I need to see these same discussions in the other characters too. Trans Dorcas is something that I love, but Marlene who isn't sure what label to use and will just accept any pronouns even though "they" gives them butterflies UGGGHHHHHH I'm so happy that people want to appreciate Marlene as a more complex character than just "the childhood friend".
