what the fuck is wrong with u? yes the movement is kinda weird but it's the limit with the Technology rn (plus they probably don't have much of a budget to do something like hatsune miku), some people don't want to have their face on the internet but they wanna make certain types of videos so they do vtubing instead. it's a way for people to express themselves and making fun of people for liking it is a dick move

One thing that erks me so bad is when people play off Peter Pettigrew as the lost puppy of the Marauders or write him as always off with other people or just simply not as tight knit in the group as the rest of the boys.

THAT IS NOT TRUE! HE IS A MARAUDER HE WAS JUST AS PART OF THE GROUP AS JAMES SIRIUS AND REMUS!

That's what makes his betrayal so heartbreaking and unexpected is because Peter was their brother, he also broke the law and became an animagus in 5th year because he wanted to help his friend, he also stayed up late at night creating the map with them, he also traversed the castle under the invisibility cloak with them. He was apart of them in ever bit.

His betrayal was so devastating cause no one saw it coming, he was probably there with Sirius and Remus waiting to find out the news of when baby Harry was born. He was probably dubbed Uncle Wormtail just as Remus and Sirius were Uncle Padfoot and Uncle Moony.

He was their brother and his betrayal was as blindsided and shell shocking as if Remus or Sirius betrayed James and Lily, perhaps even more because Sirius was suspected due to his Black family heritage and Remus with his Lycanthrophy.

They must have thought oh its definitely not Peter though, Peter is as loyal ad they come, he has nothing in his life that might pull him to the death eater, and depending on which version of Marauders lore you subscribe to Peter is possibly a life long childhood friend of James, grew up down the road always did everything together.

He was the last one they'd expect to be the snitch that's why Sirius told James to make him secret keeper and why James full heartedly excepted that choice. James never would've put the life of his wife and child in the hands of someone if he didn't wholeheartedly believe they would defend them as if they were James.

That's why it's so heartbreaking and that's why everytime I read a fic that plays Peter off as a clumsy guys that just wonders around them I get a upset because that's not who he was and I don't want to take creative liberties away from anyone else but in my fics Peter will get the character he deserves (so you can all cry with me when he ultimately betrays them).

The protests that happened at the macy's day parade are so important specifically because they tried to stop people from finding out about them. I watched the whole parade and didn't see a single sign or protestor, because try as they may to claim the show is live, they've been doing this for decades, they have full control over what footage the camera's capture and when ads conveniently cut away from what's happening. I found out from the few people still talking about the protests that there were any happening at the parade today.

They know we're all getting so tired and sad of hearing about what's happening. They want to make it as difficult as possible for us to interact with it, in hopes that we give up. They want you to say "It's Thanksgiving, we deserve a break from hearing about this."

I know that it hurts and it's stressful to try to help, but we have to keep going if we want anything to change. The writer and actor strikes were successful because they didn't give in.

It doesn't have to be much, you don't have to spend your days doomscrolling footage and fighting zionists. Just email your representatives each day, boycott businesses that support Israel, and hang on tight. As long as there is hope, there is a way through. The Palestinian people will be free.

Neither Walker Scobell nor Leah Jeffries look book-accurate. Every time I think about this, I get so angry because Walker received very little—if any—hate for not looking like book Percy, but Leah received endless amounts of it for not looking like book Annabeth, and it reminds me that people aren’t mad because she’s not book-accurate. i know this will only get worse as we get closer to the 2024 election cycle, but

i need people to stop acting like americans brought trump upon themselves. like we ended up with him because we refused to do our "civic duty." people did come out and vote in droves. they voted despite voter disenfranchisement, despite gerrymandering, despite long hours in line.

trump lost the popular vote. please get this through your fucking head. he lost. the popular. vote.

we were saddled with trump because of how our system is setup. not because we didn't vote. quit using this as a "gotcha" to try and shame people into voting, because as i said before: people fucking voted.

GOOD OMENS SEASON TWO SPOILERS

Ok I’m gonna be deeply ranting and analyzing the kiss scene (mostly just the kiss itself) because OH MY GOSH THERES SO MUCH TOO IT

First of all here’s a gif of it:

And also I don't have a gif of it but when Crowley releases Aziraphale, what struck me was that he didn’t make them burst apart he gently and almost sadly just stepped back. And then watched. Now. One of the biggest things I’ve been thinking about in this (because I’ve been obsessively watching it over and over) is how Crowley is kissing him. It’s a long kiss. It’s not sensual. It’s not eating each others faces. It’s intimate and very romantic. Crowley missed Aziraphales lips by a hair and is slightly kissing his chin. Crowley holds him there as they sway back and forth slightly. I can’t see if his eyes are open or not. But the thing that strikes me about this is how much all of Crowley’s body language and everything just scream about how much he doesn’t want to move. He finally kissed his angel and he wants to stay pressed up against him, finally locked in the embrace he didn’t realize he needed for so long. He just stays there. He doesn’t kiss deeper. He just stays pressed against him, not wanting to deal with how Aziraphale will look at him afterwards.

then he has to break apart. He does it gently, but suddenly. Like he had to force himself but doesn’t want to . He wanted to stay, but he knows he can’t. So he steps back with his heart breaking more than he thought possible.

now onto Aziraphale.

Aziraphale is shocked. His eyes go from open to closed to open to closed. He leans back so slightly you almost can’t see it. He doesn’t seem to know how to feel.

And then his hands go around Crowley. It almost seems like it’s an unconscious motion, given how he looks after they break apart. It looks like for a split second, he lets himself melt into Crowley, as his hand wraps around his back and slides across it. But then he hesitates again abd takes his hands away. He thinks he can’t melt into Crowley. But there was the one moment where he broke.

after they break apart, Aziraphale looks shocked, upset, desperate, and to me, even a little disgusted. Probably because he doesn’t know how to deal with it. He licks his lips and moves his mouth around abd seems uncomfortable. But then after Crowley leaves he presses a hand to his mouth. He holds it for a second and starts crying. He realized he liked how it felt. He realizes everything he’s been missing. He loved the feeling of Crowley’s lips on his. Most importantly, he loves crowley.

on the topic of people hating on Aziraphale and saying the metatron did something to him, I disagree. This seems completely in character fir Aziraphale. He’s not an arsehole, he’s in conflict. He thinks he’s not allowed to love Crowley. I get him.

I’ll preface this by saying I’m not really a shipper. I just enjoy canon couples on TV Series/films.

Terms I’d like B*ddies to remove from their vocabulary because they don’t know how to use them correctly:

Media literacy: For a group that uses this term a lot you sure do misinterpret everything in this show.

Queerbaiting: Going to expand on this one. A show that’s already been pre established for having queer characters simply cannot queerbait.

Ship baiting: While sometimes you can argue that they could be doing that, that’s only if you look at the show in a very biased manner. You might think this is the case but the general audience doesn’t think the way you do.

Ship war: This isn’t a one tree hill situation where there was Team Brooke Vs. Team Peyton where the middle guy (Lucas Scott) had canonically been with both women. This is people not understanding fanon vs. canon and not being able to just watch the show. It’s like playing quarterback on Madden and thinking you could be better than Patrick Mahomes.

Plot device: everything’s a plot device. Move tf on.

Predator: You sound like crazy MAGA supporters calling everything regarding the LGBTQIA+ community as predatory. Sit down.

Co-parenting: I know this is a big one and discourse was brought up during the hiatus. Oliver and Ryan have loosely mentioned this years ago but it was never to be taken this seriously. Do y’all even know what co-parenting is or are you that big of a donut? Buck is someone who loves his best friend deeply and by extension, his kid too. Him taking care of him frequently does not make him a co-parent. Maybe he is a parental or uncle figure, but he isn’t a co-parent. Also, I swear y’all need to learn how a will works. He is a GODPARENT, not a GUARDIAN. Stfu.

Hag: This especially applies to women, but to say that someone 25-30+ is a hag for still being in fandoms or enjoying tv shows/films is inherently misogynistic. Men are never held to this much criticism for enjoying fictional media, but women aren’t allowed to?

Queer Coding: people of the same sex “looking at each other”, hugging, or having intimate moments all together doesn’t make them queer coded. It could mean that they just love each other that deeply platonically. While representation is amazing and just because you interpret a character as queer coded (just like my ship baiting comment) doesn’t mean others interpret it that way as well. In addition, network TV has stipulations, and also actors are allowed to decline storylines. Ryan has mentioned his character is heterosexual an abundance of times which means (at least for now) that he isn’t willing to go for this storyline.

Dead naming: Y’all construing the fact that Buck wants people like coworkers and some of his former love interests, to saying Evan is his dead name is inherently transphobic because do you even understand what a dead name is? Evan Buckley is shown as being fine with being called Evan by both Tommy and his sister. I’m pretty sure some of his love interests have called him Evan as well.

Fetishizing: You guys saw two hot guys who “looked at each other” and for 6 seasons have wanted nothing but to see those two make out with each other. Those of us who enjoy Tevan saw Buck giddy at the thought of Tommy and have wanted domestic fluff for them since.

Anything to do with racism, homophobia, and misogyny: I’ve seen the way you guys have conveniently weaponized Henren and by extension Aisha/Tracie when you didn’t get the Ryan/Oliver interview, don’t try to act like you’re morally superior. Not to mention wanting a canonically gay man to die in a show and not even holding those who use your ship name to write CSA fics accountable because you’re petty and want to throw hissy fits. Anyone looking at your comments as an outsider would think you’re homophobes and yes queer people can be homophobic.

I do hope you can expand your vocabulary. 🤍

My biggest problem with how the current Batman issues are written is that there's like no consequences for Bruce? Like you're telling me he basically drugged and kidnapped Jason and gave him like crippling anxiety just for it to go away in a couple issues later and now that it's gone he wants to help Bruce and is willing to give up his life for him??? Is this even Jason at this point??? If anything Jason should want to help him out the least. Not only that but how everyone wants to help him so badly is so weird???? Like you're telling me none of them is holding a grudge or just doesn't want to get involved in that shit??

Not only that but all the characters are written so weird and inconsistent in general??? Maybe it's a good thing Chip hasn't added Duke, Cass, or Steph in the mix cause yikessss their characters would get destroyed and it would take like 10 years to undo it.

the costuming in npmd is fucking genius

and i don’t mean the lords in black (although i could absolutely rant about how great their costumes are). i mean the “nerdy prudes” themselves.

peter’s outfit is reminiscent of a classic “nerd” outfit. but there’s a reason he dresses like that, one that the character has. and then he changes to a sweater in place of the bowtie and suspenders- because of steph. he still dresses like peter, but his outfit compliments hers more.

i love richie’s outfit- the patterns, the horrible layering- i knew kids like this growing up. and the hair? the sort of greasy, bedhead, scraggly hairdo. it’s just 🤌🤌

ruth’s outfit is nice- clearly they understood the assignment of how a queer person dresses (/lh)- but her whole display is ignored, the audience’s eyes immediately drawn to the head gear. just like the characters, we first see what’s “weird” about ruth.

i don’t have much to say about grace. she’s very put together, very neat. the pastel blues and pinks representing her softness innocence. also the butterflies clips in her hair slowly dwindling in numbers. that’s a good detail.

steph is very cool and alt. the cropped fleetwood mac shirt, the combat boots, the flannel- she understands the trends in fashion. but she makes it her own
