In this, it's still optimus and ratchet, but when (Y/N) doesn't get better, it seems to get worse. They do scans on them. Turns out, (Y/n) has a broken bone that didn't heal right, and now it's starting to make her sick by releasing bacteria in her blood stream, and the only way to fix it is by surgery. Pretty much, forcing the bone to be together to stop it being a problem.

How will they act, how will they find out, and will they help (Y/N) recover? Thank you again and if it's to long, I am sorry!

☆ Caring and Curing Pt 2 — TFP Optimus and Ratchet x Sick!Fem Reader ☆

ᯓᡣ𐭩 The bots once again consulted the humans, and convinced you to go to a human doctor. They personally drove you, waiting outside and trying to stay hidden as possible as they waited on results. Optimus and Ratchet talked between themselves on their concerns over you

ᯓᡣ𐭩 Once you came back and news of surgery was revealed, Optimus began researching whatever he could about what humans needed to recover from such an event to see if he could help, and Ratchet modified your resting nest to accommodate the new needs you'd have post-operation

ᯓᡣ𐭩 Once you have the surgery completed and you're safe to come back to base, the two mechs fret over you more than before. You didn't think it was possible, but Optimus and Ratchet begin curling around you more often and keeping bots under strict information on how to be careful with you, including disallowing any to come too close

ᯓᡣ𐭩 Anything you need immediately gets handed to you. Sometimes you don't even have to ask, as their research pays off and they stock up on even the littlest of medicines or snacks you may need. They might have a few less than solid hacks they found on human websites that don't make sense, but they're doing their best

ᯓᡣ𐭩 Optimus straight up carries you whenever you need to go somewhere. He's worried about you falling or aching while moving, so he holds you in his servos carefully and takes you wherever you need to go, even offering to complete every task for you

ᯓᡣ𐭩 Ratchet makes sure you're following the care guidelines you got from the doctors on what to do post-op. He keeps the list on him at all times, and will be strict on you taking medicine on time as well as keeping bandages or casts clean

ᯓᡣ𐭩 They seem very worried and nervous whenever they're helping you, moving with great gentleness and care. They become very conscious of how small you are in comparison, and take extra precautions to be sure their heavy metal frames never hurt you

After they had been newly introduced to you, the Autobots had swiftly picked up on the fact that you were in need of a bit of extra assistance than the regular human, considering your condition. And they're more than willing to give the support that you need.

Optimus Prime

Optimus takes on the role of a protective maternal figure for you rather quickly.

He reminds you to take it easy, and that your body needs its rest. He wouldn't want you to strain yourself.

He may collaborate with Ratchet- whether that be to ask for advice, research together about your illness(es), or for the both of them to care for you.

If you're a wheelchair user, he'll request Agent Fowler to make modifications to the base so it's more accessible to you and easier to get to certain areas. Ramps, platform lifts, and disability-friendly stuff in general will be installed. Also, your meds/supplements, comfort items and things you may need will be easy to retrieve here at base. He wants to make sure you have the best quality of life here.

It makes his spark ache to know you're in so much discomfort. He wishes he can do more to ease your pain, and feels guilty that he can't do much more. He wants nothing more but for you to feel safe and happy.

Optimus is a good listener. He likes hearing about your interests and hobbies, even if he may not understand it the most. And you're more than welcome to vent to him.

If you want, he'll tell stories from his past back on Cybertron, before he was a Prime. Maybe you could share some memories with him, too. Optimus is just happy to talk with you, and it brings him a sense of warmth when he sees you in an uplifted mood.

Sometimes, he'll cradle you in his servos, his touch giving you a sense of security. As he does that, he'll reassure you with encouraging words and remind you of how much you are worth.

"You're so strong, little one. Despite everything, you strive on and keep going, even in the darkest of times... you're truly more than meets the eye. I'm proud of you. I mean it."

Ratchet

As a medic, he cares. Ratchet educates himself about your illness and does whatever he can to aid you. He'll research your illness's effects, triggers for flare-ups, basically everything. Also, expect him to ask you questions from time to time.

He is a bit more prepared to care for you, since he has dealt with patients back on Cybertron that were disabled and/or ill long-term.

When you're around, he's always sure to keep a watchful eye on you. He's also visibly more concerned and caring when it comes to you. (The others find it endearing. Don't tell Ratchet, though!)

"Have you taken your meds/supplements already? No? Go take them. You need them, after all."

"Do you need a boost? Here, let me help you."

Ratchet opens up more than usual when he's with you. He's even more soft with you when you have flare-ups! He can't help but let his usual grumpy self falter when he sees you in this state... He orders you not to move around too much or put yourself in more discomfort.

If you ever need to vent about your struggles and insecurities, Ratchet's there for you. Sure, he may not be the best with handling emotions, but he'll be there to listen. He'll try to the best of his abilities to console and reassure you. He has your back, and is never leaving your side.

Arcee (+ Jack)

She's sooo protective of you. Seeing you as part of her extended family, along with the other humans, she is fiercely protective when it comes to you. She'll go above and beyond to ensure of your safety and well-being. The last thing she'd want is for you to be in pain, let lose you.

Being the smallest of the team has its perks! With her size being the closest to a human, Arcee can easily fetch you your aids and medications whenever you need it. Just say the word, and she'll speed off to get your desired item (and you might not even need to say the word, it's like she already knows it by instinct).

She'd be really good at giving advice. Honest and firm, yet reassuring and gentle.

"You're doing awesome. Keep up the good work." She'd say to you after you've done even the smallest of achievements. Had your breakfast? Well done! Drank water? Good job! Took time to rest? Amazing!

She's the greatest at hyping you up. "You can do this. You're unstoppable!"

She isn't usually one for physical affection, but she enjoys just.. being present with you. You'll have her sitting by you or silently supervising you.

Jack also is frequently concerned about you. Not to the point where he is a constant worrywart, but he does care. You'll get a "How are you doing?" or something along the lines of that from time to time.

Arcee is a mama bear. Anything or anyone trying to hurt you? They're as good as scrap. Speaking of mamas...

Jack's mom? Every time June visits, she always wants to check up on you. She brings in monthly care packages specially made for you, filled with snacks, medications and supplements! Jack was a little embarrassed at first when she started giving those to you, and with her coddling you, but he's gotten used to it. As long as you're okay and cared for, he's okay too.

Bumblebee (+ Raf)

Bumblebee was initially quite concerned about you. This was the first time that he's ever heard of humans being ill long-term. And the fact they have to go through so much? It makes him feel bad.

He's very clingy and caring to you! He likes spending quality time with you, and he may invite you to fun drives out with Raf! That is, of course if you are physically able to. If not, then maybe a video game or movie will do.

Bee joyfully beeps at you in greeting. "Bee's happy to see you! He's asking how you've been." Raf helps to translate.

Bumblebee is your source of emotional support and comfort. He really does love and cherish you, and is super affectionate!! He wants to make sure you're happy as often as possible.

Headrubs, hugs, a hand- or rather, a finger on your shoulder, holding you- all of it is a must!

During dark days, he's always there to provide support for you. Vocal comfort isn't exactly the best option for consoling, so physical comfort is the next best thing for him to bring you comfort. Hugs, nuzzles, pats, anything to give you those warm and fuzzy feelings.

He may not be able to voice his love for you properly, but he certainly can and will express it with whatever way he can to make sure you are constantly loved by him, regardless if you have you have your illness or not!

Bulkhead (+ Miko)

Bulkhead treats you as if you were made of glass (not like he does it with the other kids). Extremely gentle and careful. He's a gentle giant to the core.

He also asks a lot of questions to know how your illness works and what you may need.

Miko likes cracking up jokes or offer to watch movies and/or play games in order to make you happy.

In all honesty, she isn't very confident in comforting others verbally, despite her talkative and outgoing personality. But Miko still wants to give support whenever you need it!

Cuddle pile!! Bulkhead and Miko will set up a cozy little area for all three of you to just relax, filled to the brim with blankets, pillows and snacks. You and Miko will be resting against both sides of Bulk, while his servos gently hold both of you, acting as a warm, secure blanket for you two.

Your smile never fails to make him smile as well. "Aww, well aren't you just precious. Glad to know you're feeling happy."

Seeing you in pain, whether it be physical or mental, also never fails to stab him with a pang of sorrow. Immediately comes to your side to comfort you. "Hey, hey. It's gonna be alright. Here, lean on me."

Bulkhead is always there to lend a hand- or servo, whenever you are in need of it. If you just want to spend time with him for a while or cry your feelings out, he'll pat your back reassuringly with kind words.

When Ratchet called to Optimus during his battle "Optimus.. we did it." (Referencing that they cured Raf) it didn't look like Optimus heard him.. which made me think that Optimus was going to be noticeably more tense/angry/panicked once he got his memory back. Because as far as he knew Raf was still dying, and that caused him to freak out earlier sooo...

I expected him to look distressed until he walked into the base and saw Raf and realized that he had been cured. Oh well 😔 I can say tho that Optimus immediately addressing Raf by name to make it clear he remembers him was a sweet touch 😌❤️

Ooooo that's a good question. And I kiiind'a think I have an idea for it..?

I imagine that synthetic energon- (when fully completed and when not) is a green/turquoise color. I pictured that the process of making it artificially is what makes it off color. So what if any fluids that their body makes with synthetic energon is ALSO off color? Maybe instead of red tears they would be orange? Or yellow? Probably orange..

Now with dark energon.. I kind of imagined that all the fluids in a transformers body are replaced with dark energon due to its mythical/endlessly powerful nature. Instead of crying lubricant, Megatron just leaks dark energon.. 💀

I've have a few black folks saying that my portrayal of Jazz is fine and it really warms my heart. I feel troubled that you guys even had to defend me because this is the most nothing burger situation ever. My Jazz was largely inspired by his character in Transformers: Exodus the TFP prequel novel, quotes and all. If I put any trope into Jazz, it's the Kdrama, anime, cliche love triangle trope, I have noooo clue what anon was talking about.

I'd like to note that you guys don't have to worry for me!!! I'll still get hotheaded at repetitive or weird asks but it's still entertaining to me than legit anger. A/N: I started doing a scenario for this but I got like two sentences in and didn’t know what to write anymore. So HCs it is, also thank you very much. I’ve certainly been subjected to some bad treatment by medical professionals, though in my case it’s been because I’m overweight among other things. I also have this post and this post about trans!reader. These ended up pretty short, so sorry about that and not very specific to trans stuff, sorry about that too...

•Knockout knows your fear of doctors is very much justified, he’s heard all about how bad they’ve treated you

•Honestly, the stuff you humans have to deal with is sometimes very much beyond his understanding, because what the fuck?

•Cybertronians don’t have the same concept of gender as humans, so he doesn’t really understand the discrimination and stuff that happens because of it

•He does experience other types of discrimination, such as the whole “why is your alt mode a car and not something capable of flight?” and he has heard that all his life

•It’s probably better to say he doesn’t understand the experience of it, because he has never had to deal with it, but he can still empathize

•Anyway, Knockout has seen how hard it is for you to go to the doctor’s because of past experiences

•He always drives you to your appointments and waits for you while you’re there

•Knockout has calmed you down after many bad appointments, and he’s always there for you

•He lets you complain as long as you need to, and he doesn’t offer advice unless you want it

•Since you go to the same doctor every time, you two also gossip about whatever you happen to hear when you’re in the clinic

•Knockout is a huge gossiper, and he comes up with pretty outlandish scenarios about the nurses and doctors based on the little info he gets, just to make you laugh

TFP's designs reflect the writer's decisions regarding character direction very well.

It's not as though I don't like the designs on their own; on the contrary I actually love the less-action-figure-and-more-extraterrestrial art direction they took with the Transformers.

But a lot of the designs push certain aspects so far to the point where their barely recognizable from the characters they are supposed to be.

Somewhat Coherent Ramblings below on the 3 biggest "victims" with my (admittedly limited) transformers lore knowledge.

Starscream got a bad back from carrying the entire Decepticon cause on his shoulders while Megatron's snorting up Satan's crotch dust so forgive his poor posture.

Like it's a solid design for a for a sniveling backstabber- being able to look like a pathetic little bug one second to a ruthless killer the next.

And I love how he's rigged and animated- forget Predaking most of the animatign budget went into Starscream's theatrics-

Honestly he's probably the least "problematic" for lack of a better word for me because he can be fixed with giving him a paint job and maybe a helmet- probably styled along the lines of RID!Starscream's helm and he'd be fine.

A bigger part of my problems with his design now that I've ruminated on it is more how he's not allowed to feel like a proper, competent threat on his own after the first half of S1- and in turn, how he's not allowed to be intimidating more often.

Seriously tho- like she looks good but why did they make her blue specifically? Just make her a dark magenta to go with the muted color scheme of the show if your worried about her standing out to much (she's a $30k sports bike in bumfuck nevada- she's already flunked the "in disguise" part of the class)

I get the "oh the she's only girl she shouldn't be pink" argument but you know what would address that? HAVING MORE FEMALE CHARACTERS.

Getting off track...

Again, Arcee's design on it's own, even with the whole "female transformers must be motorbikes so we have an excuse to make them slender" trend, it's really cool.

It reflects her tough-love approach, and how the war has left her sharp around the edges so she doesn't get hurt again. But she doesn't really feel like an ARCEE design.

Like I've said before, it feels like at times the writers couldn't get permission to get the characters they wanted and decided to write the characters they could get to fit the story they wanted to tell, and that reflects in their designs at times. She takes charge of the team because she's best suited for the job, just ask her.

Arcee even is the one to take out Shockwave and allow her and Cliffjumper's escape- similar to how another blue-femme rescued a similarly named friend from Shockwave's clutches back in G1.

With this design and writing direction, it would have been better suited to another spiky blue femme; Chromia. She even comes with an established red love interest to kill off (sorry Ironhide).

Hell if the writers REALLY wanted they could have even still had her Tailgate Event happen with her favorite sharpshooter (sorry Moonracer).

I love this design so much, but where the HELL is Soundwave supposed to store his minicons??? That's his whole thing! Yes he has Laserbeak- but there should be SOME indication of where his lost Cassettes used to go even if they are dead (which in all likely hood they are but again- SEPERATE post).

It's very interesting to me how stripped down he looks, as though with each cassette he's literally lost a piece of himself.

Give Soundwave his Full-Grown Children Back Damn You.

Rumble and Frenzy would have had a fucking BLAST messing with the Jasper team- humans and bots alike.

Bonus:

I will admit when I found RID Drift's design and how Jetstorm and Slipstream are docked on him, I am curious if Soundwave's had his Cassettes on his arms too.

Because if that is the case Soundwave does have room on his arms for at least two- maybe four on the shoulders.

i have answered it before, but i've never really gone in depth as to why i like starop so much, so i'll make this the post where i do that.

i initially thought of starop as a ship when considering that optimus is my favorite autobot and starscream is my favorite decepticon, so why not ship the two? it only increased when i watched tfp and saw the episode where starscream attempts to defect, only for him to fight with arcee and go rogue again. there's this moment where starscream gives optimus the biggest puppy dog eyes, and it made me think, "oh, these two would be cute!"

then there was the orion pax episode, and especially the antarctica episode, and it just made me ship them even harder. it got me thinking about starop in other continuities, and now, if starscream and optimus are in a series together, then i'm probably gonna ship them.

i absolutely love starop primarily because i see myself a lot in starscream, someone on the wrong side of things suffering from abuse. starop, for me anyways, represents a possible redemption. it represents a way out, finding someone who cares for your well-being and wants you to become a better person.

one of my favorite starop dynamics as of late has been armada. a lot of people know that starscream joins the autobots in that continuity, but those who haven't seen it might not know that starscream is manipulated by thrust into rejoining the decepticons. even after he rejoins the decepticons, optimus has faith that starscream will do the right thing and become a better person, and starscream even openly worries about optimus in episodes after that. i'm not writing fanfiction here, this is canon. optimus being willing to give starscream a chance was what sent him on the path to becoming a better person. none of the other autobots had faith in him except for optimus, and that changed him forever.

so yeah, i have a ton of love for this ship! it's criminally underrated, and i'm always happy to talk about it!

Sorry if you're busy, I hope I didn't become a bother for the multiple asks, but here's what Happened during and After the Wedding Fiasco, in Optimus Pov of course. Sorry if it's another Megop or Opmeg centric. I'm addicted to their Divorce relationship and Breakup, Making It Everyone's Problem!

As Optimus Took a glance at Megatron who initiated the situation with Starscream's idea. (The Decepticons all glared at Starscream during this with faces telling they wanted this to be over soon and potentially beat the seeker up). Besides him was Blue Cop who was unfortunately to become Megatron's Victim of Delusions™ alongside Him. (Poor bot), Optimus glance then turns back to Megatron in Pity but in his own eyes, there's a hidden spark that should've been buried from when he was just a simple clerk, reading all of Megatron's Writing and poetry who admired the young clerk long ago... He lost Megatronus, and now he's losing Megatron. He doesn't know what will happen if he loses him. Sometimes, sometimes, a traitorous part of him wants to stay, but he can't. His team, the humans, the cardbots, and especially Blue Cop need him. So even though it hurts, he leaves once again

Also I love the picture of Megs in a wedding dress, he looks amazing, but imagine what it would look like after the fight. It would be torn in several places, some parts ripped off entirely, energon would be splattered on it, and dirt, smoke, and dust would dirty it. He's not only a bride who got stood up at her wedding, he's a vengeful one

A while ago I read your post about Optimus Prime with a daughter who was his exact opposite, and I loved that one! So may I request a similar idea with TFP Ratchet? Like TFP Ratchet with a daughter bot Buddy who is his exact opposite. Like who had a gentle and sweet and that “Does it hurt here? Aww, you poor thing” “Hey you are doing so much better! Aww! Great job” type of classic cartoon nurse personality, as well as the classic “I love these little creatures! Can we keep them? Father pleaaase?” type of little girl personality (probably to the humans, to Ratchet’s dismey). And she also looked up to Arcee a lot. Like, A LOT! Her absolute idol! she would want to copy every way Arcee talk and behave (even the bad examples)(much to Ratchet’s dismay) and copying the way Arcee battle too. And thanks to Arcee she now wished she could join the battlefield and do all these wonderful cool and dangerous things too! (Once again, much to Ratchet’s dismey)

Buddy was originally a sparkling from a dear friend of Ratchet and Orion Pax’s.

Their caregiver was an extremely pacifistic bot who wanted nothing more than peace on Cybertron. But once in a while the caregiver would join a rally with Pax and Ratchet. They believed in change and agreed something needed to be done.

They sadly passed away from natural causes one day when they dropped Buddy off at his clinic to pick up some rust sticks for Buddy. The two friends were devastated hearing the news while the sparkling was happily playing around with her toys.

Their caregiver had placed Ratchet as the primary care giver if anything should happen, Orion was to be the sparkling godparent.

Ratchet took on the new duties immediately.

It was the least he could do for his friend and the sparkling.

Ratchet made sure to let the sparkling know what happened to their caregiver when they were older.

Buddy was the eldest of the youngest group on Team Prime. She took her job as big sister seriously with Bumblebee and later with Smokescreen. She made sure to always be there for them in any way she could figure out was necessary.

The two bots enjoyed having someone have their backs and fixing them when they came back from patrol.

“I remember hearing that cliff was knocked unconscious when he went into the portal. What did you do to Shockwave?”—Buddy

What's your current stance on Starscream's trine (considering you have chosen to keep this fanon due to its value in potentially justifying Starscream's lack of paint as another point of his misery) in terms of how they (and their... tragic absence) affected the current Starscream we see in the Prime continuity? In Aligned Universe canon he is kind of responsible for the rather brutal deaths of both (as it is normal in most TF continuities) so probably very few warm feelings intended but like. I rather liked the Crawling Back to You's large revelation and how it crashed on Starscream and how it almost spelled out the undercurrent "It was your own fault you were left alone in this pit" he seemed to conclude under the layers of hurt and anger (and there were ways this sentiment was not incorrent...).

To preface, I have not consumed any of the other Aligned works beyond TFP, so I can’t give an informed opinion about anything present in the comics, games, or novels! I only know the Prime team was given the freedom to contradict previously-established lore if they felt it would serve TFP’s story better, which has resulted in conflicting information between works in the Aligned family, so I’ve been treating Prime as a standalone this whole time 🙇

Once I get through more of the Aligned family I’ll probably have more robust things to say about how they connect to each other, but for now I can’t comment ahaha.

Anyway, yeah, I enjoyed Transformatron’s take on Starscream’s story in Crawling Back To You! When I made my previous post on my thoughts about what Knock Out and Starscream’s backstories might be, I had adopted their headcanons as well—but now that I’ve read more of the IDW 05 comics, watched more TFA / G1, and caught up with Skybound, I’m not sure 🤔 I haven’t seen much of Thundercracker or Skywarp at all, let alone what rapport they might have with Starscream…

I do enjoy them both in the Skybound run—Skywarp being a trigger-happy goon (as in henchman, not—you know) and Thundercracker having morals that conflict with the comically deranged nature of other Decepticons—but I feel like DWJ’s writing is a bit too shallow for me to sink my teeth into? Which isn’t necessarily a bad thing—a story doesn’t have to be deep to entertain, and I definitely find the Skybound comic entertaining! But neither of them have much going on, so I can’t turn them around in my head or extrapolate how those iterations might behave in other scenarios or settings without taking ample liberty.

And since I’m the type that likes to play as close to the source as possible (to the best of my ability; we all have different interpretations, and I know mine can run niche), I don’t like stretching things too much… But I’m going to be digging into more of the canon whenever I can, cuz the trine is so popular in the fandom and I want to know why! TC and SW have screentime in G1 and IDW 05, so I hope I can see them in action more soon :D

On the note of stripped paint, lately I’ve been rotating two alternatives to trine grief, though:

Playing with the canon lore for aggressive depigmentation, which could have manifested in Starscream as the result of his many near-death and / or psychologically-traumatising experiences, or

Starscream stripping his paint after he thinks Windblade dies rather than Thundercracker and Skywarp, cuz I love their interaction in the IDW 05 run///

The latter moves more into “making sh*t up” territory, though, ahaha. I just think it could be neat to take a similar angle to Transformatron with the trine—Starscream and Windblade were close, but as the war warped him, she made the decision to leave for both of their sakes.

☆: With the help of three of his men, Knock Out put your tank onto a wooden transport trolley. When the other men got out of the cabin, preparing everything to be ready for the disembarkation of the ship, Knock Out now had a tarp on his arm and shoulder.

☆: If you don’t mind my dear, I assume that you wouldn’t like to be stared at while I… bring you to my home… He paused, it was almost like he waited for an answer, though you didn’t say anything, you let him speak in his now soft but naturally cocky tone. I will put this onto your tank, he said vaguely gesturing the tarp, after all I wouldn’t want any bot to get ideas about you…

☆: You couldn’t help but give him a thankful glance, which made his smirk grow wider. He put the big piece of cloth above your tank like he said he would. There were some little holes purposefully made into the tarp, maybe to make sure you wouldn’t be in darkness while he was transporting you.

☆: At this point the sound of the docks were almost getting noisy, bots shouting around, clanging or bumping from fishing equipment, you were lucky the tarp also muffled most of this chaos. The trolley you were on started moving, the door of the cabin opened and you were now on your way to the docks…

☆: There was a lot going on in your processor; What did this siren hunter truly want from you? What was different about you that made him treat you like a living being and not a simple possession? Was he going to sell you like you knew he did with others of your kind..? Or was he going to keep you as his own… Hidden from any curious optics of normal and unworthy citizens?

Hey!!! i've been seeing your Knockout posts, so i wanted to shift your focus to this face that KO makes after Starscream snaps at him in the final movie

Its small but it really speaks volume about all the shit he's had to put up with and this was his last straw

In my opinion I honestly think that Knockout wasn't planning to knock out (heh) Starscream the way he did until Starscream told him to shut up. Based on his facial expressions I think it was a slap to the face realization moment.

His face shifts from shock/dismay at Starscream telling him to shut up, to this expression of realization.

I think it's largely bc Starscream was basically the last thing in the Decepticons that could have made him stay. Whether or not someone interprets that as friendship or Knockout being hopeful that things would be different if Starscream led is up to the viewer. I think it's a mix of both tbh. I don't know if they'd be considered full on friends but as far as we could see on screen Starscream was the last friendly face that Knockout had connection to in the Decepticons.

It also hurts a bit. Considering TfP sometimes had good theming but often had messages and themes that, in my opinion, weren't explored as well as they could have been or just weren't explored further I'm unsure if this next parallel was intentional or not. But Starscream's "Shut up you!" was said after Knockout said something kinda cheesy/punny in the evil way he does. The thing is? He used to say the cheesiest shit with Breakdown. And every time one of them started a punny line or something? The other would add to it.

In a way this moment was kind of a contrast between the two relationships. Breakdown matched his energy. I don't think Breakdown got enough screentime nor did the dynamic between Knockout and Breakdown get explored as much as it could have been but you can still get a good read on their bond. And comparing Breakdown's relationship with KO vs Starscream's it's easy to see how one lifts each other up and the other is well... rocky.

So Starscream telling him to shut up made him realize the distinct difference from his relationship with Breakdown. It basically told Knockout Imo that Starscream didn't like or care about him the way a companion should. And with that realization came the realization that he really had nothing left with the Decepticons. Not even the last person he had a semi-positive relationship with actually cared about him.

Some people think Knockout's defection was just shoved in willy nilly but, in my opinion, as far as side switching goes, Knockout is honestly the only Decepticon that I think made sense even if it was rushed. I know some people say it was badly done which, totally fair. Though I would have loved to see more buildup and a sort of, episode to remind viewers how shitty he was treated so his defection felt more natural plus more bonding with Breakdown to give us a better sense that they were close, Knockout's defection honestly? Made sense if you thought about it.

Enough shitty stuff happened to him bc of being in the Decepticons, add to the fact that with Breakdown gone he was now entirely alone to warrant a side change. And from the get go he never seemed particularly loyal to the Decepticons as a whole. I've said it before and I'll say it again, Knockout joined the Decepticons for the ✨ aesthetic ✨/hj. He's already shown a tendency to enjoy roaming and doing his own thing. So him ditching when there's nothing left worth staying for? Very in character I think.

I wish it got more attention than just a brief plot point in Predacons Rising but like, TfP had been cancelled so I kinda get it.

God, Robby is so annoying. He whines a lot in S2/3. When he gives orders, I just wanna throw up.🤮 Why should they listen to you? Your mom was a lieutenant. You should be discussing plans with others! You are not a soldier and strategist! Get a reality check. I would love someone to smack some sense in him.

And seeing Mo, a ten year old, getting into action by being a “hero” and saving herself and others from death and threats she shouldn’t handle makes me cringe. It’s not fun and easy to avoid dying. I want to do Everything Wrong With so bad. Humans are important, but these Malto brats are the worst.

ES might as well be called The Robby and Mo Show. IMO they're the worst things about it. I'm not opposed to kid characters, but the TFP kids, Cody and Frankie from RB, Rad and Alexis from Armada are actually likable to me.

I'm convinced that part of the reason ES failed is because of how much Robby and Mo are shoved in the audiences faces. They were even prominently featured on a lot of original ES toy packaging. The writing stresses how SPECIAL they are when they'd be nothing without the cyber sleeves. According to the Production Bible, there was actually going to be an episode that had the Terrans and kids getting curb stomped because they let their cockiness get the better of them. Now that would've been interesting character development for them not to rely on the sleeves so much.

A common complaint about the show is that there's no sense of stakes because Robby and Mo just magic the pain away. Although I will say that I'm impressed the cyber sleeves weren't used to resolve the escape room episode in S3. The fight against Mandroid's Moving Lair in Age of Evolution remains one of my favorite things in the show because it was good guys working together and not ass pull powers saving the day.

Let's not forgot that S1 didn't care about Robby, even when he was dying. Now I'm suddenly supposed to care about his love life in S2? It's why I headcanon that everything post S1 is his self insert fanfic. I give him credit for trying to go against the Malto FAMILY thing at points.

Mo is frustrating to me because one moment she'll have more emotional maturity than a lot of adults, then she'll act more like a kid the moment the plot demands it. Her going on and on about FAMILY is also annoying. I still go WTF at her fighting Mandroid in Prime Time.

They don't even show up in my Lotus Au until way later when Mandroid removes the cyber sleeves at the request of Alex and Dot.

Idk if y’all remember but Smokey was the silliest bot on Team Prime, easily the most immature mf in the main cast (other than Miko) — now try to tell me without lying to my face that he wouldn’t fit in perfectly with the goofy goobers the make up Team Bee??

He would definitely see himself in Sideswipe and try to bond with him thru pranks and goofing off while also trying to guide him into avoiding the same mistakes he made (ex. Hard Knocks)

He probably makes Strongarm feel conflicted cuz his reckless personality clashes with her image of what an “Elite Guardsman” would act like, but I think Smokescreen would just try to get her to loosen up a bit while not bickering with her unlike what Sideswipe and her usually do

Upon seeing Grimlock he’d immediately go “HOLY SCRAP ARE YOU A DINOBOT!?!?!”, he thinks Grim is so cool and really wants to spar with him

He probably sees Arcee in the way Drift acts and respects him a lot just based on that alone, though he knows it’s gonna take time for him to earn that respect back from Drift (I LOVE HIS CHARACTER GROWTH IN PRIME AND I WILL KEEP THAT IN THIS SILLY LITTLE IDEA OF MINE, HE DID GET BETTER AND I HATE IT WHEN PEOPLE IGNORE THAT JUST CUZ THEY FIND HIM ANNOYING)

He’s probably not met much minicons so he’s not used to them, but I can see him having a good friendship with Fixit and being very nice to Jetstorm and Slipstream

He takes one look at Russell, turns to Bee and says “do you have a thing for human kids with brown hair and names starting with R??” Other than that I think he vibes with Russell and Denny well

As for his dynamics with the Decepticons — he’d be making constant quips, he’d make fun of all of them immediately like a robot alien version of Spider-Man — after previously fighting against Megatron himself he cannot take any of the furries of rid2015 seriously

I think Bee really likes physical affection and words of affirmation so randomly Smokey will just hug Bee when they’re in the scrapyard and will compliment him when he does well at leading and mentoring the others cuz he knows that shit ain’t easy (again, he sees himself and Sideswipe and realizes “damn I really was annoying holy scrap I’m so sorry”)

I HC that Smokey can still move his doorwings like he and Bee did in TFP, so whenever he sees Bee and gets excited his flap up and down (I know this is purely self indulgent BUT IN MY DEFENSE THIS ENTIRE POST IS ME BEING SELF INDULGENT, THIS FANDOM IS ALREADY DEAD AS HELL I’D BE SURPRISED IF ANYONE EVEN READS THIS FAR INTO THIS POST, LET ME BE SELF INDULGENT IN PEACE)

When either of them get bad days where they just keep thinking about the war, they do their best to comfort each other thru it cuz, unlike the rest of the team, they were both there for most of the late-war-shit together on Earth — and for the stuff that Smokey wasn’t there for, he just listens and makes sure Bee knows that he’ll always be there for him

The team seeing their usually serious team leader be partners with this unserious constant-joker of a bot stores a lot of cute potential stories in it that no one is writing about — like come on guys I want Bee trying to be serious in the scrapyard but then Smokey just hugs him from behind out of nowhere and Bee just has to process it for a sec cuz touch starvation go brrrr while the rest of them is like :O

The Angst

While this section is mainly Smokey focused more than smokebee focused, I’m still adding it cuz this still falls under the “what if smokescreen was in rid2015” idea

Smokey definitely has claustrophobia and a hatred for being restrained in anyway from the TFP (waking up captive on a Decepticon ship after being knocked out, Knockout restraining him on his operating table while he tears the Omega Key from inside his body, being stuck with a dying Optimus in a cramped cave for a while panicking cuz holy shit Optimus, his #1 hero, is fucking dying) so any mission that requires going into a cave or dark & cramped area is gonna cause him to freak out — but of course he wouldn’t actually admit that until it’s too late and he’s having a breakdown in a cave cuz he didn’t want to let his “stupid irrational fear to ruin a mission”

Same goes with Bee and his fears — I touched on this a bit earlier, but Bee & Smokey definitely have some days where they’re gonna feel off and they can’t get the war out of their heads — and those days are gonna be the worst cuz most of the team outside of maybe Drift won’t really understand it

Smokey is gonna have some feelings about Optimus coming back and Bee not telling him immediately — while this isn’t the first time Optimus died and came back to him, last time it was for a few seconds, this was for THREE WHOLE YEARS — he’s still gonna be happy that he’s back, it’s just gonna take awhile longer for him to be ok with it than the others (the way that Ratchet is immediately ok with Optimus coming back out of nowhere in rid!2015 was weird to me so I’m fixing that with Smokey)

While he loves giving Bee physical affection, he hates unwarranted touching from anyone else, specifically stuff like pats or punches on the back (Alpha Trion when I get you Alpha Trion Alpha Trion when I get you Alpha Trion Alpha Trion when I get you Alpha Trion Alpha—)

For a potential angsty introduction to Smokey in rid2015: He doesn’t meet up with Team Bee until the finale episode on Cybertron, where he’s being mind controlled by The High Council to capture them (I’m a sucker for brainwashing/mind control/hypnotism plots so I need to understand how BADLY I WANTED THIS TO HAPPEN IN THE SHOW IT WOULD’VE BEEN SO COOL)

That’s all I can think of for now, I just love these funky big robos a lot and I’m currently smashing their faces together like a kid with 2 Barbie dolls in my mind, hope y’all enjoyed reading <3

TFP Ratchet x Fem!Reader who’s trying to make him sleep😴

One night at base, Y/N was awake while everyone else recharged. Well, not everyone. Of course the “sunshine” was awake. He was just typing away on the computer, face covered in a green light. Y/N just sighed and watched him as he continued his work, not a word from him.

She honestly felt concerned for him, he’s always working and never recharges. She did leave him alone though, she didn’t wanna bother him.

Eventually, Y/N felt tired and ready to recharge. As she started walking to her quarters(or berth idk) she heard the medic yawn. She quickly turned her helmto look at him covering his mouth as he slowly turned his helm to look back at her.

“Ratchet..” You started, fully turning around to look at him and crossing your arms.

“Not a word.” He grumbled, going back to the computer.

You groaned and just walked behind him, quickly pulling his servo and grasping it into yours.

“You are going to recharge tonight, whether you like it or not.” You hissed, narrowing your optics at him.

“But my work! I must finish it! I need this!-“ He was then shushed by your finger which was literally up to his mouth. “And I need you to rest…you work too much..” you say softly. “Come now.” You then start to gently and slowly drag him to his quarters(or berth)

She then gently lays him down and sits next to him as he laid down and breathed softly. “Better?” You ask, “Mm..” he grumbled.

You just giggled and hummed a soft lullaby to help him sleep.

Good thing is it worked! But you were too tired to even move at this point. Before you could at least try getting up, Ratchet quickly took your wrist in his servo and pulled you into him. Cuddling and big spooning you while he slept peacefully.

You didn’t squirm nor surrender, and took it with no hesitation <33

I think megatron met reader and her kids when he was attacking the autobots.

Like, he was fighting in a neighborhood and crashed into a house.

While he tried to get up, he feels something hit his helm(head).

When he looks down, he finds....a shoe?

When he looks up, he sees a female human with two sparklings(children) behind her.

Reader picks up another shie and throws it at him.

(Lile that screen from spider man movie where AJ throws the bread)

He was confused at first, like "how dare this human fight me!" But when he realized optimus was coming to him.

He grabbed reader and her two kids and told optimus to back off.

That's when he took off with them and flew to the war ship

That's where the journey started.

Megatron learned one thing.

Reader had one Hella of a mom stare.

Reader was also very portecrive of her sparklings (childrean)

There was time where she even thought him head on to keep his hands away (even if it was a lossing battle)

Even though he never had a caretakers since he worked in the mines and battle pit for a living, seeing reader so loving toward her kids made him feel....angry? Sad? Furious? Jealous?

He didn't know, but he was the lord of the decepticons and will not fall victim to a human femme (girl)

Megatron made sure to keep them in the medbay so they can be Researched by knockout and breakdown.

I think megatron would start to get interested by readers kids way before reader.

Kids are kids so they will ask anything.

So que the questioning.

Ash- why do you have boob's?

Megatron- what?

Dawn- why do you have a sword in you're blaster?

Megatron- it's not in my blaster, it's underneath it.

Ash- what did you do before you became a leader?

Megatron- I fought in the pits of the gladiatorial pits of Kaon!

Ash&dawn- wow...can you tell us stories!

Megatron- why would I tell such a low life like you to such a story?

Ash&dawn- please *puppy eyes*

Megatron- ....

That's when he started to tell his story's, every time he went to the medbay, readers kids would always be ready to hear his story's.

Reader did not like this and told megatron that he better not be planning anytbing to her kids.

Megatron said he wasent.

I think the reader will finally come around when she finds megatron in the medbay, at like 2am, her kids where sleeping, and Megatron was...working?

Reader went over to him

(BTW they got freedom to walk.around, but only in the medbay)

Reader gets up on the table and stares at him.

Reader told him that he needs sleep, megatron said no, reader said he needs it now go, megatron said no, reader gives her mother stare, megstron freezes.

Megatron gose to berth. (Bed)

Megatron has no idea what just happened.

That's when I see this started, megatron would slowly start to open up to reader.

After a while, he will understand what's it like to have a mother figure, he felt love.

But, he eventually found out he also fell In love with reader and her sparklings.

He will take reader, while it's late, and head out for flight.

That's where he confess his feelings.

The reader accepted then but also told him that if he would be with her, he needed to help her raise Ash and Dawn.
