I've posted ideas about the other characters in my AU, but I just don't get the same enjoyment out of writing them.

Okay wait, who the hell is supposed to be the villain of the next batch of Earthspark episodes?
Because correct me if I’m wrong, which I might be since it’s been like 2 months since Season 3 came out, the Quintessons are pretty dead by the end of it, I don’t think they can come back. I’m also not sure if this next batch will be Season 3 part 2 or Season 4, but if it’s the former, then frankly I’m even more confused since I feel like the final boss of the season should connect to the mid season one. But again, the state of the Quintessons
I mean if it’s Season 3 part 2, then my best guess is someone else from space, likely Cybertron? Again it’s been a while since I’ve seen the season, but I do recall a lot of attention on Cybertron, with Prowl being sent from there and the Decepticons on Earth taking Prowl’s ship to return there. So I feel like logically, Cybertron will be incorporated more
Personally I think it’d be pretty cool if the new villain was like, a new ruler of the Decepticons that took over after the destruction of the space bridge. Granted, that’s mostly because I want to see the conflict for Megatron in that scenario. But it’d also be interesting if it were the Cybertronian Autobots, that don’t agree with the ideals of the ones on Earth anymore, and/or cause issues for the Terrans and Megatron, being the former Decepticon leader. I don’t know, there’s things you can do with it
But also since we’re here, I’m really noticing the weirdness of the final villains. In each Season 1 batch, it was Mandroid and his machinations, they were all consistent. Then in Season 2, it’s Starscream with Terratronus. Then in Season 3, it’s the Quintessons, which did have some buildup in Season 2, sure, but it’s got very little to do with the villains of last season. And now the Quintessons are completely gone, so who’s the villain now, especially if there’s more Season 3 to go? I have to assume the next villain is gonna have little to do with the Quintessons then
I mean I guess Mandroid doesn’t have much to do with the other main villains as well, outside of his involvement with hunting Decepticons but that doesn’t come up much I don’t think. But like, within the same time span it took to finally defeat Mandroid, we’ll have had 3 completely separate villains
And also, I don’t feel like you have the Quintessons as a mid-season boss, at least not in the fashion we finished them off, that’s season finale treatment. How are you supposed to top that?
I don’t know, I just don’t think I understand these choices
But quite frankly, I have to assume the next villain will be in space, because with Terratronus fully awakened and on the good guy side, how are any threats supposed to stop them now?

Headcanon that the other Rescue Bots meet Schloder and automatically think it's Chase using holomatter technology.

Headcanon that Schloder would place 1st in a hot dog eating contest and then tell no one about it.

With how the Maltos handle negative feelings, it wouldn't surprise me if Hashtag talking about her trauma with Starscream is because she can't talk to her family about it.
Seriously, Starscream's known as a bastard in universe and Hashtag finds it easier to talk to him about her trauma than her own family.
Then again, this is the same show that only focuses on certain things when it's for plot reasons. You'd think the emotional connection in the cyber sleeves would be at least doing something in response to what Hashtag's feeling.

I kind of wished Earthspark acknowledges the dark side of childhood innocence/ignorance yet also not dismissing them merely as "children being children". If you don't teach kids to stop doing bad things now, they're going to do the same as they get older, and likely without regret or guilt.
This case is very obvious with the Chaos Terrans. The Malto Terrans doesn't even consider that Aftermath is mimicking Breakdown even when the signs are obviously there as bright as day. They already expect Spitfire to be bad as Aftermath when she was literally minutes old. None of the adults set the children straight about it. None.
I get it, "kids being kids" but there are times where they MUST be punished for bad actions/behaviour as consequence and are taught to be better.
Twitch & Thrash should be disciplined after they reacted physically when Bumblebee only speaks out his frustrations of being ignored by them.
Twitch needs to know when and when not to fly right at someone's face.
Thrash has to understand cues on when he can express himself [I get his frustration in "Warzone" and its in character, but still, it's quite callous to do it at a memorial]
Nightshade needs to be taught about proper communication (them secretly meeting Tarantulas, installing untested security systems & modifying Dot's fake leg without her knowledge).
Hashtag needs to respect other people's boundaries (she continues to play director when JB is not on it anymore)
Jawbreaker needs to learn reading the room, and rightfully speak up for himself whenever his family treats him badly. [this is definitely not his fault]

I wish it wasn't a recurring thing that JB gets treated like shit by his family and that he's expected to just take it.

The ES writers definitely missed an opportunity by not further exploring the shady aspects OP has. It's heavily implied it was his idea to make that fake ranger job for Dot to come to Witwicky. Unfortunately, focusing on OP being a butt monkey is just another symptom of the writing quality being not enough to actually properly execute what the show wants to do.
IMO Dot comes across like a sanctimonious hypocrite most of the time, especially with her being adamant on Megatron truly changing when he clearly struggles with bad behavior. Her being so amazing for being friends with Megatron is pushed almost as hard as the FAMILY theme. Look at how in S3 she happily let Robby and Mo go to confront the Quintessons because it was more important for her to stay with Megatron.
Honestly, for as much as I don't care for Robby, I do give him credit for actually trying to push back on the Malto family stuff. It's a shame that he always caves though.
I will always side eye Dot for the way she treats Optimus.

I still really want to talk to the person that designed FF Mandroid.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
There's so much going on with his design plus how well it fits with Mandroid's character arc. There was clearly a lot of thought put into it.

What do you think of an alternate timeline where Airacnid was secretly working with Meridian and Croft? Would it be more dramatic and brutal or would it play out the same?
Because I have a theory that Dr. Meridian got his tech from this show’s version of Airacnid or Black Airacnid since the machines are called Airacnimechs and it's heavily reminiscent of what she'd make. And to top it all off, the way this spirals out of control as the show goes on is definitely something she’d plot from the beginning because she’d see Mandroid’s suffering and Croft’s thirst for power as amusing.
If Airacnid had her TFP characterization than I feel like Mandroid and Croft would know better than to let her run around on her own even if it was under the pretense of helping them. Mandroid would put a control badge on her while Croft would have her locked up in a very high security wing of GHOST.
I'm not sure why so many people seem to think Mandroid had some sort of help making the Arachnamechs. Alex said himself in Traditions that he used to know a colleague that had similar tech to the Arachnamechs, meaning that Mandroid already had prototypes of them before being recruited by GHOST. Most of his aesthetic is insect based to begin with, even his Final Form. Him being solely responsible for the Arachnamechs makes him a much greater threat.

I headcanon that Mandroid couldn't really feel most sensation when he had the TF arms. He could feel extreme pain or temperature, but that was it. Once he's in the FF and has organic arms, he makes it a point to just run his hands along different surfaces like a soft blanket or grass because he never expected to feel any of that again.

I recently realized the emberstone is small enough for humans to carry while it should be life size for Transformers to carry.
Another, how should the emberstone birth the Terrans? Coming into physical contact with certain resources? How many can it create and how long does it take to birth them? When Nightshade, Jawbreaker and Hashtag were born, it’s only because they got special treatment of all time by Quintus.
In general the purpose of the Emberstone is to create potential allies for TFs so the act of creating is instant. Once a new race is made, Quintus moves on to the next planet. My headcanon about the Emberstone is that Quintus heavily tweaked how it works because of what happened with the Quintessons. By that I mean he didn't want the stone to just churn out too many beings at once and have even more people pissed at him. I find it hard to believe nothing else touched the stone before Robby and Mo found it so Quintus added a feature where the stone 'scans' whatever touched it to see if the resulting beings would be problematic. The fact the Terrans are children is because Robby and Mo themselves are children and therefore more easily kept in line.
