Face of cat, body of a small bear and tail of a monkey..what am I?😉 BINTURONG! haven't heard of us? 🤔 We live high in the South Asian forest canopy and rarely come down to the ground. When we are happy we chuckle but when irritated you can hear a high pitched wail and we can growl fiercely. We love fruits, small invertebrates and eating plant leaves and shoots🤤 In the past 30 years our kind has reduced by 30% and captivity isn't helping us either. We are threatened by loss of habitat which is mostly because of logging and agribusiness. We are also hunted for bushmeat and pet trade 😔 We want you to know, we exist, we feel pain and we want to be saved 🥺 Funfact: Did you know? 🎃Halloween is around the corner again, & here starts the long process of finding decor items for a spooky vibe🌚🌖🦇 However, you don't have to spend hundreds of dollars on expensive items from the store. You can make some yourself instead🤔 But the bigger question remains. What to make, and how? Well, I have you covered. You might be surprised to see how I have used seemingly nothing items to such a significant effect..that's because of how much I believe in recycling, and it comes at barely any cost!!🤑 💡some of these ideas can give your home the spooky feel without burning a hole in your pocket💸 ⚠️Items used: Old wine/ whiskey bottles, used plastic bottles, mason jars / tins, glow eye made of toilet roll cardboard, string lights / fairy lights from dollar shops, glitter liquid from the glow in the dark glitter sticks bought at a dollar shop, some fake blood, glitter gelatin for jello and permanent sketch pens for drawing. During the main 2km walk at Burrewarra point you will find number of small tracks that branch off. Each of these boast an exhilarating view of the Guerilla Bay coastline and beyond🌊 🏞One of the small track that braches off to the left, half way through the main walk will take you to the lighthouse. The main track brings you to the edge of cliff look out and if you continue it loops back to the car park while taking you through the forest🌳 This is a fabulous place to spot whales and fur seals from September to November🐋 👣Within couple of mins of starting, Just off the main walking track you will find the concrete World War 2 bunker. Glasshouse Rocks is one of the highlights in Narooma, according to me. You can access this view with a small hike or just drive upto to the Narooma beach and spot them. At Narooma beach, you’ll find all sorts of interesting rock formations with intriguing natural patterns etched into them. The walk up to to this beautiful viewpoint is worth your time. This a hidden gem and you won't find any boards indicating routes. But, it's not tough to find it on your maps. You will have to park at a distance and walk through the mud trail. The walk is likely grade 1 with a bit uphill. But, its easily doable with kids.
