#Transformers Aligned

TFP's designs reflect the writer's decisions regarding character direction very well.

It's not as though I don't like the designs on their own; on the contrary I actually love the less-action-figure-and-more-extraterrestrial art direction they took with the Transformers.

But a lot of the designs push certain aspects so far to the point where their barely recognizable from the characters they are supposed to be.

Somewhat Coherent Ramblings below on the 3 biggest "victims" with my (admittedly limited) transformers lore knowledge.

Starscream got a bad back from carrying the entire Decepticon cause on his shoulders while Megatron's snorting up Satan's crotch dust so forgive his poor posture.

Like it's a solid design for a for a sniveling backstabber- being able to look like a pathetic little bug one second to a ruthless killer the next.

And I love how he's rigged and animated- forget Predaking most of the animatign budget went into Starscream's theatrics-

Honestly he's probably the least "problematic" for lack of a better word for me because he can be fixed with giving him a paint job and maybe a helmet- probably styled along the lines of RID!Starscream's helm and he'd be fine.

A bigger part of my problems with his design now that I've ruminated on it is more how he's not allowed to feel like a proper, competent threat on his own after the first half of S1- and in turn, how he's not allowed to be intimidating more often.

the Sleeping Beauty Dress argument

Seriously tho- like she looks good but why did they make her blue specifically? Just make her a dark magenta to go with the muted color scheme of the show if your worried about her standing out to much (she's a $30k sports bike in bumfuck nevada- she's already flunked the "in disguise" part of the class)

I get the "oh the she's only girl she shouldn't be pink" argument but you know what would address that? HAVING MORE FEMALE CHARACTERS.

Getting off track...

Again, Arcee's design on it's own, even with the whole "female transformers must be motorbikes so we have an excuse to make them slender" trend, it's really cool.

It reflects her tough-love approach, and how the war has left her sharp around the edges so she doesn't get hurt again. But she doesn't really feel like an ARCEE design.

Like I've said before, it feels like at times the writers couldn't get permission to get the characters they wanted and decided to write the characters they could get to fit the story they wanted to tell, and that reflects in their designs at times. She takes charge of the team because she's best suited for the job, just ask her.

Arcee even is the one to take out Shockwave and allow her and Cliffjumper's escape- similar to how another blue-femme rescued a similarly named friend from Shockwave's clutches back in G1.

With this design and writing direction, it would have been better suited to another spiky blue femme; Chromia. She even comes with an established red love interest to kill off (sorry Ironhide).

Hell if the writers REALLY wanted they could have even still had her Tailgate Event happen with her favorite sharpshooter (sorry Moonracer).

I love this design so much, but where the HELL is Soundwave supposed to store his minicons??? That's his whole thing! Yes he has Laserbeak- but there should be SOME indication of where his lost Cassettes used to go even if they are dead (which in all likely hood they are but again- SEPERATE post).

It's very interesting to me how stripped down he looks, as though with each cassette he's literally lost a piece of himself.

Give Soundwave his Full-Grown Children Back Damn You.

Rumble and Frenzy would have had a fucking BLAST messing with the Jasper team- humans and bots alike.

Bonus:

I will admit when I found RID Drift's design and how Jetstorm and Slipstream are docked on him, I am curious if Soundwave's had his Cassettes on his arms too.

Because if that is the case Soundwave does have room on his arms for at least two- maybe four on the shoulders.

With the breakdown getting upgraded thing he actually tells bulkhead "I got an upgrade" in his introductory tfp episode. That combined with his appearance in War for Cybertron (the video game. Or was it one of the other aligned cont. Games? Don't remember but it's one of them) Makes Breakdowns in universe upgrade semi canon

Also I've always loved the idea that it was actually Knockout who gave him the upgrade.

Oughhh that'd make sense with Knockout's specialty on modifications, and I feel like that gives both situations here fascinating dynamics

While the initial development will be focused solely on TFP designs, I will create different continuity versions if the game gets enough traction and the demand grows high enough. It will also depend on how much support I get via the Patreon month-to-month and what the patrons want, because the demands of my supporters are my top priority.

Bumblebee is canonically such an obnoxious little shit talker and megatron is such a catty crash out queen. Many years passed and while Team Prime was on a mission, an escape pod crashed on Earth (like when Smokescreen first came to the planet) and they came rushing in helping the team fight off some Vehicons. The Optimus and [S/O] reunited at the end.

Long before the war between Megatron and Optimus Prime had ever begun, Optimus Prime, otherwise known as Orion Pax during this time, a clerk working at Iacon, had a Conjunx Endura by the name of Y/N, they were a calm and kind bot to all, loved throughout their community because of their kindness towards those in need, something Orion Pax not only loved about them, but even strived for with his own actions, hoping to better Cybertron with his friend Megatron, but unfortunately for them, things took a turn for the worst.

Even after the war had begun and their lives were altered permanently, forever tainted by spilled energon, they stayed by each other’s sides, fighting alongside each other to try and stop their enemy and old friend, they always made time for each other, but their duties became more important than their own feelings, yet they knew that they loved the other dearly, and that was more than enough for them.

When Orion Pax earned the Matrix of Leadership from Primus, officially becoming a Prime, he knew he’d be welcomed back with open arms, which was confirmed as they had only asked him one thing. If he was okay. He could tell that they didn’t care for his title or his new frame, they were merely happy he was still the same mech they fell in love with all those stellar cycles ago, they’d been worried that the Matrix would’ve changed him completely, but while he seamlessly came into the role as a leader, Optimus was still the same mech he was when they first met, and he always would be.

Yet, during the early days of the war, long after Optimus became a prime, they rarely had time to see each other, always being busy with their respective roles in the war against the Decepticons, but in their sparks, they knew their true emotions and feelings, and it had always been a comfort for them both, knowing that the other was still thinking about them, even while they were busy with work or battle, their sparks knew who they loved.

They’d been separated for stellar cycles while they both focused on the war, but when the end days on Cybertron were happening, Optimus, with the entirety of his spark, wanted to wait for them, to have them join him as they were unfortunately leaving their ruined planet, but he knew the longer they waited, the more lives would be lost while trying to protect the Ark, so with a heavy spark, Optimus turns to his troops and tells them to retreat and prepare for departure, leaving their home, his love, everything they knew, behind for now, hoping to be reunited again one day.

[Years Later, on Earth]

Optimus rarely had downtime, he was almost always busy with something, but now he had a rare moment to himself, his processor was filled with thoughts of his long lost Conjunx Endura, how he missed them every second of his life, he missed their smile, their laugh, he missed that overwhelming kindness and courage that inspired him so much when they were younger. He can’t help but worry, hoping that they’re okay, he knows they’re still online. Thank the Allspark, he can still feel them through their spark bond, confirming their own spark was still beating.

His thoughts were interrupted as he’s startled by an alarm sounding off throughout the base, a loud alarm ringing out from the main area of the base as Optimus rushed out of his bearthroom, walking out into the main area of the Autobot base, he finds the rest of his team surrounding the screen where an alert was blinking.

“What’s causing the alert?” Optimus looks over to the team medic, Ratchet, keeping his stoic tone and face, though the old medic can obviously tell the leader was concerned and slightly curious what could be the cause of the alert.

“An…Autobot escape pod.” Ratchet looks over at the Prime, even he was confused by the readings, the last time an escape pod crashed on the planet, they had gotten Smokescreen from it, but he was originally captured by Decepticons, who knows who could be inside this one.

“Where did it crash? Regardless of whoever is inside, they could need our help.” Optimus nods, taking in the information before addressing the next thought on his processor.

“Somewhere in the Midwest.” Ratchet taps on the screen, revealing the location of the escape pod that had crashed somewhere in the Midwest of America.

“I see…” Optimus nods before turning to the rest of his team, “Prepare to roll out.” He heads towards the ground bridge, hoping to get to them before the Decepticons do, watching as Ratchet activates the ground bridge.

Optimus takes a moment to look over his team before he takes a breath and then transforms alongside his team, driving through the ground bridge and exiting out the other side, only to be met with a battle that had already begun before they arrived, the escape pod seemingly broken open, whoever was inside currently battling against Vehicons.

As Optimus transforms again, he orders his team to back the mysterious bot up, clearly whoever this is, is on the side of the Autobots, or perhaps someone that really hates the Decepticons, either way, they’ll need the help if they want to fight off all of the Vehicons. The Autobots charging into the fray, Optimus activating his energon blasters and giving both his team and their comrade cover fire as they take down a good portion of the Vehicons.

In the midst of taking out another Decepticon, Optimus feels a familiar yet strange tug on his spark, like it was drawn to something nearby, which confuses the mech, they’re in the middle of battle, why in the world would he be feeling a tug? It startled him for a moment, a perplexed expression flashing across his faceplates before he schooled his expression, not allowing a sliver of confusion to pass his face.

It still was a cause of alarm for him, so he follows the tug that his spark felt, glancing around to see what could possibly be the cause, but the reason shook him to his core, unable to look away as he realized just who exactly the mysterious bot was, he almost didn’t recognize them, but he knew in his spark that he was looking at his Conjunx Endura.

Optimus had completely frozen in shock, his Conjunx Endura, his long lost love, was still online, he knew they were, but seeing them in front of him, it almost felt surreal in a way, almost like his body just couldn’t believe it. Unfortunately for him, his shocked state made him miss the Vehicon sneaking up behind him, his optics widening as he spun around just in time to see the Vehicon readying their blaster. Optimus was ready to brace himself for the blaster fire but the Vehicon grunted and yelped as it was grabbed from behind and thrown into the ground by his very own Conjunx Endura.

“You okay?” They looked up at the Prime with a small smile, subconsciously looking him over, just as they’d done so many times in the past, they truly hadn’t changed in the slightest while they were apart.

“I am…alright.” Optimus didn’t even notice the sigh of relief that had escaped him, they were okay, online, and standing in front of him, that doesn’t mean he didn’t notice the changed to their frame, littered with scratched paint and scars, they’d clearly been through so much in their time apart, he almost felt guilty for some reason.

They chuckle as they see how his optics roam their frame, knowing he’s looking over their new and old scars, they know they’ve changed in appearance, yet he seemed to have stayed almost the exact same as he was all those stellar cycles ago when they last saw each other. “You should focus, love…” They remind him gently before they rush back into battle to assist one of the others with a few Vehicons that were overpowering them.

“Right.” Optimus shook himself out of his stupor, quickly following them back into battle, glad to have them by his side once again.

Optimus and his reunited Conjunx Endura went to help the other Autobots, who were almost as equally as surprised as Optimus was when they finally realized who exactly came out of the escape pod, but they had no time to focus on that, they had to get the Vehicons to retreat before anything else happens.

The way the two fought side by side was almost like a dance, something they practiced a thousand times over, even after all this time apart, they were still an amazing team, the Vehicons started to drop like flies, making the survivors retreat, likely to only face the wrath of their leader when they return with nothing but failure.

“Ratchet, we need a ground bridge.” Optimus calls back to the base before only a few moments later a ground bridge opens nearby, his team walking through after the successful mission of retrieving their comrade. He waited for them to walk through before following behind them, a ghost of a smile on his face.

The team, especially the kids, wanted to celebrate having a new teammate join them, but they had politely declined, much like Optimus, they aren’t one for parties, but that didn’t exactly stop the team from having one anyway, with the permission from Y/N to do so even if they aren’t present for it.

“I missed you, my dear…” Optimus, allowing himself a moment to relax, whispered softly as he wrapped his arms around them as they nestled into his bearth, neither one wanting to move from this position.

“I missed you too, Optimus…” They murmur in return, digits tracing random shapes and words on his metal frame, their spark warming underneath their chassis, reunited at last.

“I would like to stay like this forever…” Optimus runs a servo across their back, soothing any stiff joints or aching areas on their frame, it felt so nice to be back in their arms.

“As would I…” They smile softly, hearing his spark humming in his chest, comforted by the familiar sound that they longed to hear again after so long, they spend so many stellar cycles trying to find him, trying to find anyone, and now that they have him, they aren’t going to be letting go anytime soon.

Optimus was glad to have a moment to themselves after reuniting, both in his bearthroom, with a smile on his face as they were wrapped up together, both silently making the promise to never separate themselves again, they don’t want to go through such fear ever again, so they held each other close, their sparks warm now that they’ve returned to each other, hopefully to never be separated by anything else again.

TFP Last of the Wreckers

I wish we got to have seen more of the Wreckers in TFP.

Seaspray should have gotten to be with Wheeljack with the Earth autobots and be horrorified/pissed with him that he was brought to a freakin' DESERT.

Might tweak some color palletes but I do like how everyone turned out

Switched out Hot Shot with Hot Spot because by the time I realized I'd misread the name I was already attached to Hot Spot being their medic
