I love the Polish word “źle”, it means “wrong”, “inaccurate”, “bad”, “poor”, etc. and from a primarily English-speaking point of view, it sounds that way too. The contrast between the ź and l sounds and then the abrupt vowel at the end sounds like when you’re trying to write something with a pen but suddenly your hand fucks up out of nowhere and accidentally makes a line of ink on the paper as the pen falls out of your hand. That was very źle of you. My entire life is źle. It sounds so judgmental and I don’t know why 💀

It's very similar to French in the way that there are multiple letter combinations for one sound (such as 1.) ż, ź, and rz, and 2.), u and ó). Fucks me up even NOW. 😭

I won't lie, my spelling of Polish words is pretty poor. I heavily rely on autocorrect/autofill. 🙏
