EMH Marble Hornets AU!!

ok i know im not creative when it comes to aus but i thought itd be interesting to tell the story of MH through EMH’s story? IF YOU GUYS HAVE THOUGHTS OR QUESTIONS PLS LEAVE SOME IN MY INBOX!!! :-]( or even questions for the MH!EMH characters heh)1

Basically its just marble hornets told through EMH, for example instead of “tapes i found” story telling theyd open a youtube channel for tips and tricks on making your own movie while they make their own called Marble Hornets! EMH/MLA spoilersish up ahead

Since Mlanderson and EMH are in the same universe i thought id make Brian the Michael/Patrick of this story, except more involved. Instead of their being a shaun i think id like Brian to just go to MH crew, if ykwim. I did this cause the only other character i thought could fit Brian was Alex!EMH and I didnt like that.

My take on Masky is that hes just a more aware Tim, not a separate being (tho i do like to think of it that way for fun sometimes ha ha). Masky in my mind was in a battle against the operators control and was ultimately trying to help Jay. I think Masky would br Habit in this series cause of the theory that Habit is one of the first few iterations of Evan, thats why theyre similar and so compatible etc if you know the theory you know. That does mean that Tim isnt gonna act all ha ity, just more erratic i think, i havent gone tooooooo far into a characterization(or even a name) for Emh!MH Habit yet

I think the rest of the correspondences make sense if you think about it a bit. Jay as Vinnie makes sense to me because of boths compulsive need for answers even though its destructive to those around them. Jay wouldnt be as much as a villain in this like vinnie is (or maybe i havent decided muahaha). I also thought they fit cause they both do that weird thing where they constatly have to document everything.

I thought tim eould fit Evan just cause of the whole habit arc.

Alex as Jeff was more of a fill a role thing that eventually made sense to me. I did think of making him Evan and Tim Jeff, and im still thinking of doing this, but i thought the whole finding the gf arc would fit alex more. Alex would still be one of the villains i think. Like i said this would be marble hornets told through EMH lol. I might even switch it up and assign a habit type role to Alex instead and there be two patrick characters who knows!

I (21, any prns) met Pink (21, she/they) in a fandom-specific RP server about a year ago. Everyone was (and still is) very nice, including Pink, the server owner. Pink and her family are very poor, barely even making rent, and she often plugged her donation posts in the server announcements channel (this happened a lot. at one point there was even a donations channel just for her). I didn't really mind because desperate times call for desperate measures, ya gotta do what ya gotta do, y'know?

About nine months ago (mid september) I decided to pay something for her (it was either the remains of her rent or her meds, I forgot which). I did it because I felt like it, and it wasn't much. I figured if I could make someone's life a little easier, I might as well. Then about a month later (last week of October) she DM'd me, also about meds. She seemed apologetic and honestly kinda desperate. I figured if she was going this far it was probably by necessity, so I sent money again. She asked about paying me back, but I declined the offer since when I give people money I pretty much expect it to be Gone lol. She asked me again for money twice within that week for some Emergency Essentials. I obliged the first time but gently refused the second. I work retail, I'm not made of money...

She didn't contact me again about this until early December, due to an overdraft. I declined because of a vet appointment and also Xmas shopping. Plus, I was in kind of a tight spot myself at the time (from around Nov-March I had to be really careful with my spending). She asked again in mid-December for rent money, to which I obliged. It was the last time I gave her anything. She then had *another* rent emergency at the very end of December, which I refused because I Have Bills. I should mention that some of these emergencies were not posted publicly (i.e. in the server) - she was asking me, personally, for help. Nobody else, at least as far as I know. Maybe she DMs everyone who sends money her way. I have no way of knowing.

In mid-January she asked me again for rent money, to which I politely declined due to my own financial struggles, and stated that I probably wouldn't be in a better position to donate until April. She seemed to understand and wished me well.

...until recently. She's made a habit of asking me for money again. Not as frequently as before (about once every 2-3 months. she did this in late May and again around march), but it does happen. I thought about telling her off the first time, but I wanted to compose myself lest I say something really mean, but by the time I felt like responding, she deleted it. Maybe she realized it was embarrassing? I don't know. This also happened with the May message. I was super inactive in the server by then due to being busy with Life Stuff. I've wanted to chat in it again lately because everyone else (including Pink, at least in overall demeanor) but it's kind of awkward when I have the literal owner DMing me for cash every few months.

At this point, I'm at the end of my rope. I want her to stop. It makes me seriously uncomfortable how she only ever contacts me to ask for money. Not even my closest friends of almost a decade - who also have financial struggles of their own - would ask me personally for money, and Pink is barely more than a friendly acquaintance. But at the same time I know she's only doing any of that *because* her situation is so desperate. Desperate times call for desperate measures, and it feels rather two-faced to turn my back on her now.

when i first started posting online again i joined the mspfa server and posted to the art channel every now and then. my interactions with people were sparse but at the time i thought it was fun to have some social interaction with other mspa fans for the first time in my life. id consider joining it again but i haven't been feeling very sociable after i deactivated my old twitter so i dunno when i would try. i gained some traction there by sharing my oc verita, she was very popular and is the reason i got peoples' attentions. i remember someone even made a theme song for her and i thought it was sooo cool lol..

i think i must have gotten really lucky, during the time i was hyperactive(?) and posted a loot of art of her and requests of other peoples' characters with her, people really liked my fantroll designs so i got further attention from that.

i think people also liked my animations? idk. i gained like, 6k followers in a really quick period, at a time in my life where i was really unstable and was trying to strip myself of someone who plagues my thoughts. i deactivated that account and have since been really anti social lol.

i used to have one server that was pretty active, it was dumped on me by the person mentioned prior so i really resented it. eventually i couldn't take it anymore and deactivated the server on impulse..

ive since made a new server, it's kinda private and basically dead since i stopped checking in on it every day. i dont really have the energy i had earlier this year ive been pretty worn out and brain dead, but i feel a lot more relaxed at least. i mightt consider inviting new peopple to it? i haven't decided if i want to or not, it's just me moderating (and also ko but he's really only a mod to approve of people who send intros when im not available)

Hello, I am looking to post my art on tumblr but I am nervous too, do you have any advice? also you’re art is lovely and inspiring

thank you!! posting art online can be pretty difficult, i often have a lot of anxiety about it too lol 💀 BUT there's a few things that i've found have helped me a lot! first is that you gotta let go of the hustle mindset of getting as many notes as possible and just make whatever you enjoy. full disclosure, this is something that will probably be pretty hard if you're just starting out, because it does suck to see something you worked hard on get very little engagement. so to counteract this, i suggest also sharing your art with friends or any smaller communities your in! that way even if something doesn't get much response on tumblr, you know that your friend group or people in the art channel of a smaller discord server think it's cool anyway.

second is that you should try out the queue/schedule post functions on here! if i ever feel anxious about posting my art (which is. often), i'll just schedule it to post the next day so i don't actually have to press the dreaded post button right then. truly a game changer for me

third is that most people use the tumblr tag system in some way, and you should to! if you're making fandom stuff then you can tag it with the fandoms/characters you're drawing so it can be found easier, and there's tags for original work as well like the artists on tumblr tag and the general #art tag too. good luck champ 👍👍

may i ask about the very specific vincent headcanon :D from the baby onesie post LOL

This is pretty long, so I'm gonna put it under a cut because it's all headcanon stuff so I don't wanna clutter up the dash or tags for anyone who isn't interested. I explained this in a discord server the same day as that post, so a lot of this is just copypasted from there and thus isn't written in the same tone as my usual explanations, so my apologies for that.

First, some establishing context: my Vincent's mother was named Sayoko (Sayo to her friends) and she was a Summoner out of Wutai. Her family is particularly important to the culture, to the point that they still head up the one remaining summoner temple in the world, because they're the only family that presents with what's colloquially referred to as "aeon matching." This means that sometimes when one of them is born, an aeon is born with them, connected to the summoner in question at birth. The summoner sort of serves as a living materia, and at the point of their death the juvenile aeon disconnects and joins the rest of their kind in the ether between the Lifestream and the Void.

This is referred to as a personal aeon—most summoners even in Sayo's family don't have them, but those that do are almost terrifyingly gifted, and also highly at risk of things like…brain aneurysms. They're also at risk of uncontrolled incarnate summoning, where the aeon takes control of the summoner's body and uses it without their permission, so it's super important that summoners with personal aeons be heavily trained starting quite young, usually around 5-7 years old. (This is around the age it's possible to even tell if the kid has the gift in the first place.) Personal aeons are occasionally picked up on sooner, but it's pretty rare due to the inability for small children to understand the individuality of the mind. Little kids assume everyone knows what they know until they're about 4-5, and it's within a couple years of this that summoning and/or personal aeons present.

Sayo was very rebellious and ran away from the temple when she was 17, crossed the ocean, got an education, got married, and left that whole life behind her—and she had a personal aeon, but because she was fully trained it didn't impact her life very much. It's very very rare for a summoner with a personal aeon to have children who also possess personal aeons, because while summoning is genetic, the binding of an aeon is strictly based on the flow of energy through the planet at the time. Vincent is biracial, since my Grimoire is Junonese, so Sayoko wasn't worried about him at all—the gene responsible for summoning presents equally among different ethnicities, but it's recessive, so the likelihood of it presenting in Vincent at all was slim to none.

Sayo died when Vincent was seven years old, and his personal aeon (a particularly unpleasant creature going by the name of Hellmasker) fronted for the first time when Vincent was eight.

It was just a juvenile, and Vincent was a skinny, bookish, untrained child, so it couldn't do much. But it could essentially "take the wheel" and put Vincent's personality into temporary stasis while causing all kinds of trouble because it's like an untrained and overly energetic dog that's been locked inside for its entire life. This…basically set the stage for the rest of Vincent's life in some way or another.

Vincent being a summoner from a line with the issue of incarnate summoning is where the transformations come from. He has the ability to channel an aeon through his body, and as an adult he could have done it physically rather than just via personality, but doing that is always fatal. The process of reshaping the body to house the energy of what is essentially a demigod, regardless of age, will always kill the host at the point that the demigod withdraws.

…Vincent can't die. Meaning he can just do that. And he will survive. He's untrained so he can't control it, and he doesn't actually have any clue that that's what it is, but that's why it presented that way in Hojo's experimentation.

That's why the personalities of his monsters are so different from his own, while the only other character who had anything close to this ability (Azul) was still in line with himself when transformed. One of the other characters turned into the vessel of a Weapon (Weiss) also doesn't lose himself in the process. This is because they didn't perform incarnate summoning, they utilized controlled mutation.

Hellmasker is a whole aeon to himself, and Chaos is a bigger fish even than that, but neither of them are Vincent.

The other two are. Technically. Sort of.

Galian Beast and Death Gigas are mentally mostly just Vincent with bits of his personality sliced off, because they're not actually aeons so much as…the possibility of eventual aeons? They latched onto Vincent automatically due to a combination of what he is and what was done to him, but they're concepts that were still "cooking" in the Lifestream and are thus neither complete nor unique.

Unlike Hellmasker and Chaos, Vincent's first two monsters are physically based on creatures that already exist in the world, and mentally based on Vincent's experiences under Hojo. Galian Beast is desperation to escape and a thirst for revenge, the feelings of being treated like an animal, and presents similarly to a scary creature that actually exists and Vincent had fought in the past—a behemoth. Death Gigas is pain and trauma and frustration, the feeling of being defeated and defiled, and presents similarly to a scary creature that Vincent had only ever heard stories about—a gigas, which you can find near the Northern Crater in the OG. Galian Beast is too small to be a real behemoth, because Vincent was too weak to get out; Death Gigas is all piecemeal and broken, because Vincent had been taken apart and put back together and he knew it.

Galian is Vincent if Vincent were a wild animal that was backed into a corner, and Death Gigas is Vincent if Vincent were as undead and monstrous as he thinks he is. Both were very much shaped by Hojo's treatment of Vincent in the experiments.

Like...you know how you can use human stem cells and specific stimuli on a rat to grow human ears and noses and stuff? Vincent is the rat, the proto-aeons were stem cells and Hojo provided the stimuli.

And that's what I meant when I say that Vincent looks like his father but inherited his mothers insane powers.

(This is also why Sephiroth was able to fuse with Jenova instead of being consumed by her entirely. In this regard, he takes after his sire more than any of his other parents.)

Also I feel like I gotta explain that in headcanon-land, "aeon" is a term that's rarely used outside Wutai—the common term is "eidolon," but that actually means something different! An aeon is literally anything that can be summoned from the ether (this term is not appropriate to use in describing Weapons, which have physical, tangible forms on the human plane of existence; aeons are energy capable of manifesting physically), while an eidolon is an aeon with a functional summoning materia. Odin is an eidolon, Hellmasker is not, but they're both aeons.

As a note, Fuhito technically performed incarnate summoning, but it was a unique variation because Zirconiade had a semi-functional materia—Fuhito would have died when Zirconiade withdrew regardless, but because it was a Weapon rather than an aeon, the withdrawal process would have taken significantly longer without intervention. Likewise, the materia helped to prime Fuhito to receive Zirconiade by turning it into a summoning process rather than a hosting process as seen in Vincent and Weiss. His whole situation is just a very different animal.

this ask sat in my inbox for a while because sadly my PC's power supply unit failed and made it less convenient for me to write lengthy posts. however! i'm back in the swing of things and im too excited to let it sit here any longer.

long post under the cut!

to start off, i wanna make it clear that what i do currently is write english-language subtitles for english-language content on YouTube! there is no translation involved. i'm not confident enough with any other languages to sub any other kind of content. so all the advice i can offer is gonna be related to my specific experience! (i'm learning that maybe i should have used the word "captions" instead of subtitles to eliminate confusion. you can tell i am an amateur and not a professional since i thought the words were largely interchangeable)

i started doing captions for fun several years ago as a fan of The Shrieking Wizard Co! that company/channel had an associated discord server, and there was a section for fans to submit captions for their videos using a service called Crowdscriber. i was not super good at it or familiar with any of the best practices at the time, but i could make out even overlapping voices pretty well and i had a lot of free time!

the SWC is no longer around as a company, but even before that i'd fallen off of doing captions for them since school started to eat up all my free hours again. recently, though, i picked the habit back up and started doing captions for a niche machinima series that a friend got me to watch! the first episode and a half already had captions, so i was dismayed when i realized the rest of the series lacked them. in a sort-of special feature video from a couple years back, the creator mentioned plans to enable community captions so fans could pitch in if they wanted! however, since then, YouTube has removed the community captions feature.* but the creator is still active and the series is still ongoing, and i figured i probably had the tools available to me to caption the episodes on my own. i reached out to ask if he'd like the help, and he said yes! so wahoo!

a lot of creators would probably be happy to accept volunteers to help them with captions. some larger creators may even be open to offering someone a paid job at it. the worst they can do is say no or not respond, so there's really no reason to be afraid of reaching out about subtitling one or more videos that mean a lot to you! sadly, this is not going to be as reliable for older stuff on abandoned channels. you may have the resources you need to subtitle something but no way to reach out to the creator so that your subtitle files can be uploaded and seen.

the first step of my process was to download all the episodes of the series that i wanted to caption! it's also fine to go one at a time if you lack the storage space, of course. i used VLC to download YouTube videos (check out this tutorial! it wasn't what i used at the time, but i think the one i did use is out of date and your odds with this one might be better!), but i know there are other reliable options out there.

YouTube's built-in caption/subtitle editor is pretty ass and not fun to work with! i find it frustratingly limiting. luckily, there are free programs which do it better. i've got decent experience editing videos, so the free version of the program DaVinci Resolve is my subtitle editor of choice since it feels very much the same as editing videos like i'm used to. i'd open it up and take some screenshots to show off the process, but my PC is currently not functioning. i will say that i found it pretty easy to muddle through after a couple basic "how to add subtitles in DaVinci Resolve" tutorials.

i still don't know if i'm the best person to give lessons on best practices for captioning, but here are some very basic guidelines i try to adhere to:

don't let captions take up more than two lines on screen at their standard size! three or more lines of captions cover a lot of what's happening on screen. there are times when it might be absolutely necessary because characters' lines are overlapping while other sounds are also occurring which are crucial to the viewer's understanding of the scene, and that's okay, but 3+ lines of captions should really be a rarity.

generally try to have one sentence on screen at a time! there are plenty of exceptions to this. for example, a character may utter several short sentences in a short amount of time (eg. "Yes. Okay. I understand.") which don't make sense to break up any further because the captions would be flashing on screen for such a short time, impeding readability. moreover, a character might say a sentence that needs to be broken up at a logical midpoint so it doesn't take up three or more lines on the screen.

preserve comedic and dramatic timing. sometimes the above rule must be sacrificed so that the punchline of a joke or the narrative twist of the knife is not revealed before it's supposed to be revealed.

sounds that characters acknowledge and react to, or which impact your understanding of the scene, should be represented with a caption. the audience probably needs to know about [distant gunfire] and [pained scream]. however, in a lot of cases, a sound is implied by what the audience can see or is unnecessary to their understanding of the scene. the audience probably does not need to be told that the door which they can see opening is making the sound that a door makes when it is opened. the audience can probably infer that the character who they can see walking is making audible footsteps. but then there are times when these sounds might be important because the characters comment on or react to them. it's situational. i say use your best judgment.

generally, above all, be courteous and remember that subtitles are a tool, and they're not something silly with. it's really not the place for jokes. it's more clear and useful when a gasp is captioned as [gasp] as opposed to [O_O] or [le terrified gasp]. it's more clear and useful to describe the sound of an airhorn as [airhorn] than to write [HOOONK!!!]. and please don't use captions for extensive easter eggs and inside jokes. like alt text, it's not a place to hide treats for people who click a secret button. it's an accessibility tool. (i'm pretty serious and passionate about this point, and i don't wanna see jokes about it in the reblogs or replies.)

if you can understand and transcribe what's being said, you Must do so accurately. this includes swear words. this includes slurs and disrespectful language and words and subject matters you're uncomfortable with. if you can't bear to type these things out, you're not the person who should be writing captions for this particular piece of media. if a hearing viewer can hear it, it must be captioned. deaf and hard-of-hearing viewers deserve to know exactly what is being said.

this page might be able to help you get started with some more specific professional guidelines! i disagree with some of these; for example, subtitling a foreign language as [speaking French] is really not ideal, because a hearing viewer who speaks French would be able to understand what was said, so you're giving the folks using the captions an incomplete experience. like i said above, if you can understand what's being said, transcribe it accurately.

YouTube accepts at least a few different file formats, including .sbv and .srt (if you're saving as an .srt from DaVinci Resolve, make sure to check ".srt Without Formatting"). proofread your work before sending it out/uploading it to catch surface errors! in fact, i recommend checking the captions in YouTube's subtitle editor by uploading them on a private video to see whether it throws up any errors at you or has any unintended formatting junk that you need to go back and eliminate.

i hope this was somewhat helpful and can maybe inspire you to go for it yourself! this mostly felt like me rambling about my personal experiences and opinions, haha. at the very least, if this didn't make any sense, maybe you can look at it and go "well if she's this incoherent and can still write captions/subtitles then certainly there's hope for me" lol. thanks for inviting me to talk about the thing i'm passionate about. it's a joy whenever someone asks me about this. i hope to get to do it as a job someday (though i'm not looking forward to when i inevitably have to caption somebody as [speaks Spanish] due to professional practices).

*i have heard from one or two folks that YouTube's now inviting viewers to contribute captions in a different way, by "providing corrections" to a video's auto-generated captions! even if this is true, i have to say it doesn't really excite me. in my opinion, trying to work around the automatic first pass is usually a worse experience than starting from scratch. the auto-generated timings tend to be really bad, usually not cutting naturally at the beginnings and ends of sentences, and that's ignoring the fact that auto-generated captions also censor swears and transcribe many things incorrectly. YouTube really should never have removed community captions. i hope they get brought back or replaced in a meaningful way

Having a space that mainly consists of beginners is actually kind of nice, too, in a different way. I also appreciate the small size, and the fact that the people there are either already friends of mine, from tumblr, or both. (I personally feel more comfortable with people from tumblr lol, I'm just more familiar with the social dynamics.)

Since the server is actually nintendo-themed, some games have their own respective channels! Right now, it's just splatoon, earthbound, and pokemon, though I also plan to add tomodachi life and perhaps kirby— Really, any game that is requested, I will add! I'm thinking I can create a category that has channels for non-nintendo games as well :)

i wanna share my own little story of how tsams helped/changed me as a person

when i first found tsams it was like... late january/early february. i was depressed and felt like absolute shit and i wanted to check out what this random rp channel i found was. the first video i watched was where lunar reunited with moon after being pulled out of moons head. i was confused so ofc i looked for more and found a playlist with all the lore videos. binge watched that shit so fast.

at the time i was very suicidal and while i wouldnt say the show "saved me" but it gave me something to do after school that didnt suck ass. at some point i joined the main discord server and chatted with some ppl. eventually i heard that some ppl were making another server to talk about angst without being censored (this is where yall will recognize me lol) and went "fuck it why not"

its been over a year - and itll be 2 years in february - since i joined that server and honestly i regret nothing. so many of my friends are there and honest to god it changed my life. tsams has been my hyperfixation for so long now. it was the first piece of media that id made an au of and now i have... so many...

and i still make more friends bc of this damn show! despite all the ups and downs the show and fandom has gone through overall this show has positively impacted my life

Not a vent’ asking a question. Out of genuine curiosity do you actually like Terraliens as a species? A majority of CS vent blogs seemingly want the species to die or fail as an end result.

Isn’t the whole point of vent blogs to give people a space to actively point out problems to make the community better as a whole. Reblog to make it die faster or run out of the community feels conflicting to what the blog is actually supposed to achieve. Do you want it to get better? It seems like you do. Or are you actually hoping it gets worse to increase engagement.

this is a loaded question for me at the moment haha

personally, ive been in terras since april 2023, so basically since the start. ive seen every controversy pretty much first hand, was an avid reader of the terra blogs previous to mine, and terras was the first species i put my whole heart in and tried to interact with the community in. initially i really wanted the species to get better, when they had the suggestion threads i was an avid poster

then over and over again mods just kept failing in the simplest of ways. this blog was made february of 2024, a few months after the first psa and ownership change. i still thought terras could be good but there were just too many blockers, esp from coy and civ after learning some behind the scenes info from the psa

then the Reckoning came and i hoped it really would go down, if only that meant making the species totally open

when tycho became owner i really was hopeful considering the facts that previous mods completely disavowed vent blogs like mine, but shortly before he became owner tycho reached out to ask my thoughts on stuff around the species (you can see that in my post about The Reckoning), when the species fell in his lap i honestly thought there was going to be big change. for a while there was, like new assets in the item channels, feedback forms, etc. but then there were also the nagging issues that never went away from before, like hiring friends for staff, weird unspoken rules, and a horrible approval process

for the past few days ive been thinking, man this really doesnt seem like its worth it. the same issues are starting to pop up again, and the mods currently just twist and turn making up their justifications for moving the goalpost. i dont like a lot of the new designs, dont really have any myos i want to make, and im not pulled in by the new events.

my end goal initially when making this blog was that i wanted terras to get better and make the easy changes everyone wanted, but now i think the better course of action would be for it to die. make it an open species and just let people run with it, because over the 2 and a half years of this species there has never once been such an attitude of unity and happiness among terra community than on that one night in april where the species WAS open.

honestly? im days away from voiding all my terras and fucking all the way off (ill still stay in the server though, i couldnt imagine anyone else running this blog and i think its become a necessary place for everyone. i imagine there would be at least some outcry if i were to shut it down, lol). once i finish my current obligations, im trading all my shit. its exhausting to have been doing this back and forth for improvement for over 2 years now, and its just so much more effort than its worth when i could be putting my whole heart into other up-and-coming projects. it hurts when a thing you really loved and found happiness in just has too many glaring issues to ignore

i think its a bad look when most of your oldest members who have been there since near day 1 decide this shit isnt worth it anymore and want to be done with it. its a bad look when someone who cared so much to make full essays about this species on an entire blog dedicated to it decides that its just not worth trying to "fix" anymore.

and i kind of hope a lot of other members come to that same conclusion and cause it to die.

I took some time, made some smart choices, paved out a space for myself to do some healing. And I’m feeling a lot better :) at least, I’m feeling hopeful that I can finally get to feeling properly better long term

I realised that a huge stressor was the spotlight I’d accidentally put on myself being a ✨fanfic writor✨ and trying to maintain a ridiculous uploading pace & maintain hype in a fandom that’s slowing down a bit, trying to force myself to keep entertaining people when it had started to burn me out and feel bad instead of fun. So I just kinda… took that pressure off myself a bit. I deleted my fic-specific channels in my server, kinda gave myself some breathing space.

Right now I don’t really feel like writing my current fics, to be honest. I’m really enjoying being active in the Gravity Falls fandom again. I think realising that I actually don’t owe anyone anything (aside from literal paid for commissions when they happen LOL) has freed me a bit. I’m not chained to my fics, I can leave them dormant for a bit if I want. People move on, they find other stories to read and other writers to gush over. I never wanted attention anyway, I just wanted fandom friends. And I have that now.

I’m gonna do what makes me happy now, not what I think will make others happy. Yeah :)

I think every baby gal has asked themselves atleast once "How do i incorporate gyaru into my daily life? or I have atleast LOL. So here are some ideas/tips on how to slowly incorporate gyaru into your lifestyle!

I found that perfecting my makeup helped me do it more often! This sounds confusing but I find that knowing how long my makeup takes helps me make time to do my makeup. And it allows me to do gyaru makeup more often because I have a set makeup tutorial that I always follow!

This sounds weird but it was recommended to me by my friend. Buy cute underwear or socks! I find that wearing cure undergarments like that really help me channel that gyaru energy and it just helps add to my confidence. I kinda look at it like the phrase "If you look good you feel good". Just having cute things like that help me feel cute and confident enough to do gyaru.

Decorate some items in your room! Buy some cute sticky gems from Joannes or Daiso and stick them on anything you can find! Like makeup brushes, jewelry containers, hair brushes, mirrors, and even phone cases! You can never have too much glittery and sparkly things :D

Buy things with animal prints! Zebra and cheetah print items give off gyaru vibes and they make your room look adorbs! For example I have a hello kitty jewelry stand with hot pink and zebra print and it's one of my prized possessions. If you look at gyaru room inspos on Pinterest there are tons of inspo photos, most of which include zebra and leopard print things.

Here's a few ways that are more on the social side :) Talk with other gals! There are many discord servers for gyarus (cough Tiara Gyarusa discord server cough) In these servers you can connect and chat with other gals and even get tips to be a better gal :D Blogging is another thing that can help! That is actually why I started to blog, I wanted to be able to help other gals that struggle with fitting in and starting gyaru.

Some visual things you can do to your apperance to incorporate gyaru into your lifestyle is tan (not necessary), do para para or just listen to the music!
