Starting off, there’s Plasma. That one space ancient that tends to linger around Primo like a lost puppy at night. They were summoned by Nihil during his time in the band and was eventually given to Primo to work with until Primo was killed and the ancients went dormant for over 5 years. Now Plasma gardens and protects the grounds. A gentle giant of sorts. Plasma is a sleek only purple with varying types of bones in their form and two (currently stolen) black sleek horns with two spikes on each side and two (also stolen) foggy green eyes that slightly glow.

Then there’s Magma. Magma was kept by Nihil when summoned shortly after Plasma accidentally was. Magma isn’t purple like Plasma is, they’re a nice wine color with orange-y bones thanks to how their ‘body’ reacts to the natural bones in their body. Sometimes Magma bites. Meaning this ancient in particular sometimes needs a muzzle of sorts. But then again the giant could just melt out of it. So it’s rather pointless. Magma has short stubbed horns with ribs around them and deep blood red eyes.

Next, we have Eros. A ghoul that’s a walking aphrodisiac, enough so that we had to warn the ministry (Including the ghouls) to NOT put ancients in their mouth to be safe. Especially licking Eros? Satanas cant save you in that case. Think like how rabbits breed? Yeah. That. Eros is able to somewhat control this but Terzo took a liking and even suggested that Eros doesn’t tone it down. If they get licked then it’s their fault not Eros’. They have a reddish pink hue like raw meat with a usually pronounced chest and curled horns instead of usually straight horns and purple and red eyes.

Astrope is our resident lightning ancient, promptly summoned by the clergy accidentally during a particularly heavy thunderstorm. They have a white cloudy flesh with black charred bones and a few markings that resemble splintered wood like wood art. The also have sharp angular horns with the same pattern and white/yellow eyes.

Bronte is the Thunder ancient that was somehow summoned with Astrope during the same storm, which had overwhelmed Delta, a Ghoul that ended up with Secondo at some point, naturally, the twins did as well until Secondo’s death leading to Bronte being given to Copia for the RHRN project along with the other aforementioned ancient ghouls. Bronte has a dark cloudy blue flesh color and dark gray bones thanks to the reaction to the flesh much like Eros. They have deep blue eyes and thick medium length horns that have several chips in them.

Astrope and Bronte are again Secondo’s ancients, since now Copia, whom is now Frater Imperator, currently has to clergy working ancients who won’t be mentioned in this post thanks to the Clergy threatening to remove it.

Volenta, my beloved

I’m workin on an illustration for a strahd zine and I decided to draw Volenta. For the uninitiated, Volenta is one of Strahd’s brides, and like most DnD content, she isn’t given much depth or flavor aside from some weak sauce shit like, she doesn’t talk, she wears a mask, and she wears her wedding dress all the time,

Luckily, my DM is wonderful and went through the trouble of making a character that is so easy to love that I’m genuinely upset that she will need to die.

Our Volenta talks, and she has a lot to say. She’s a girls girl, she’s trans, and recently, my character has become very close with her….after a night of mushroom infused liquor. I’ve designed the frame to include the things our Volenta loves, sewing, taxidermy, cooking, and of course giving smooches to her husband and wife.

there are two very different, very warring reasons inside eros that have led to this decision. the first is love. eros does genuinely love ganymede - more than he cares about just about everyone else in his life. platonically, but maybe more than that too. he also finds ganymede incredibly attractive. ganymede is obviously into him - so he indulges in it because he knows it will make both of them happy. the more deep-seated emotions can be explored together, you know?
