"'Luc..? Hey...hey 'Luc, wake up..." Eros has perched himself on the other's chest. Staring down at him as the early morning light comes in through the blinds. His head tilted slightly as he stares down at him. Tail wagging gently. A little nudge now as he tries to rouse the taller male once more.

"...I tried to use what the maids have called 'the stove top' and I think I burned something...please wake up...'Luc..?"

"But- but what about you?" The Sovereign was all but pulling him to come with. Even if he was holding his side with one hand. Trying to stop the blood that was slicking his darkened fingers. "I'm scared- don't go-. Please don't go-."

"Pssst...pssst... Itto? Are you awake?"

Shoi-Ming shifted slightly how they were laying on his chest. A little whine rumbling in his throat as he brushed part of his beloved's hair back. Tail brushing absently against his skin as he started pouting.

"Hey- psssst. You should wake up- um- Itto? Hey?"

The Sovereign shifted now, sitting up in his lap and rolling his hips. Nails absently kneading into his chest. He just wanted the other's attention- but he'd maybe made his own issue worse.

She's on the trail of a lizard. And just when she thinks she's about to get it, she pounces! But not onto the lizard- onto a person. "Um-! Sorry- I gotta- get that!"

     “ Ohh, okay. I guess that makes sense. There were smaller creatures back then that could be older than me. So I understand! ” Most things were older back when he was still just a little hatchling. When the world had been just as new as it was now. When he'd spent those days exploring and figuring things out for himself, ever under the watchful eye of his mother. Suppose now he was going to be under Zhongli's watchful gaze? Or at least he'd have someone to return to when he did on his little adventures. The thought of that at least was rather nice. Of having a place he could go at the end of the day. Someone waiting for him. Such a thought made him feel warm, though he was quickly distracted by the other's words. “ More friends? Okay! One day I hope that I get to meet them. I'll be very polite and listen and I won't interrupt anybody! ” Even if he had a habit of talking far too much and far too quickly when he got excited.

     It had felt like forever since someone had touched him in such a way. Even that gentle affection had surprised him. Mind, in a rather positive way, but surprised him all the same. He almost didn't want for it to stop, even if he knew that it had to. “ Okay! I like these colors, too. They're very nice. ” Then his face scrunched for a moment as he shook his head. Trying to get to the pockets of his shorts from under the robe to pull a frog out for Zhongli to look at. “ No, you don't eat the frogs, silly! I keep them in my pocket. See? See they go in there! ”

     So it came back to not drawing too much attention to himself. Suppose he understood that, he'd rather prefer if people didn't bother him just because he was different. He was still getting used to walking around on two legs, after all. The thought of being crowded sounded horrifying, actually. “ Okay… no bending the earth until I get a glass bauble. ” How defeated he sounded over it, though.

"Similar to that, yes. Although size is not necessarily a sign of maturity." His thoughts briefly drifted to Xiao, and his lips twitched. It would be very interesting indeed to introduce Eros to the yaksha, and to the other adepti in turn. He wondered who he would get along with best. Streetward Rambler seemed a safe bet, but Cloud Retainer, too, had a fondness for young ones who liked to learn. And Eros, old as he was in years lived, had the eagerness and curiosity of a hatchling, still. "I have some other old friends that I will introduce you to in time. Younger than me, but quite knowledgeable and wise in their own ways." He only hoped they would manage to act normal around a Sovereign, when they were mostly hopeless at acting.

The returned affection surprised Zhongli for a moment, then he smiled fondly. It had been such a long time since he'd been around anyone with similar instincts to his own. He would have to get used to that again. "We shall simply pick you mostly brown and green fabrics, then. To make the stains less visible," he suggested, "Do you... like to eat the frogs, or is this just a pastime for you?"

He resisted the urge to reach behind himself for his counterfeit vision, and instead folded his hands behind his back. "It's hardly scary to them. Some humans are capable of manipulating the elements as well, but these... gifts from the heavens are what provides that power. So, if you want to appear as a human and draw less attention, then you should not be bending the earth without one."

Surprise is very obvious on the smaller Sovereign's features when he feels the elder's lips against his cheek. He'd been rambling about- something, he couldn't remember now. Absently toying with one of the frogs he'd pulled out of his pocket. And now his attention had been lost just as quickly as his train of that had.

"Ah- was I talking to much? Did I get annoying-?" Because surely he'd never outwardly show affection for Shoi-Ming. Right?"

"Ittoooo~." The whine is, of course, faked. Not that he can particularly feel the bite. He just nuzzles eagerly against the affection once Itto lets him go. Tail wagging absently all the while. Reaching up to wrap arms around the other's shoulders happily.

"Hello~. How was my Oni's trip, hm? Very good?"

It's like he knows this fact. That despite himself Nikita'ain is more than alright with this. And it brings a grin to the features of the smaller. Though, he seems to know better than to say anything. Tail simply wagging as it lets go of the elder's. Resting there against his shoulder happily.

How long has it been since he's gotten to share affections like this? It feels nice to have someone he can be like this with, even just a little bit. Even just sharing warmth. Warm- when was the last time that he felt this warm? Certainly it had been- longer than he can even remember, actually.

Something about that makes his heart feel lighter.

"Good! Cuz I am! And then you'll go, you'll go 'wow Eros is so very cool'! And I'll go 'I know' cuz I did." He giggles, reaching up to boop the other's nose. Grinning all the while, as if he's told one of the best jokes. He feels like he has, really.

WAS the smaller former sovereign sick ? he was acting so different than his usual hyperactive and exhausting self -- if this was what he was like normally or . . subdued he supposed he could get used to it. to him. perhaps even allow him to stay close and for longer than usual.

HE FLARED HIS nostrils at the affection given , not so much used to it after so long in captivity and being poked or prodded for nearly over a century. he didn't mind this though -- felt nice. warm. even if neither of them had anything to do with pyro whatsoever . .

HE CAN FEEL himself coming around to the younger , which annoys him just the tiniest bit.

HE SIGHS AS he noses at eros's cheek with a roll of his eyes. ❝ I BELIEVE YOU. one day you'll be strong --- perhaps stronger than i . . maybe not taller but surely stronger ❞ he muses , gently teasing as he chuffs out in an amused air as his tail swished behind him after falling away from being wrapped 'round the others.

For their little game of chase, Shoi-Ming found himself rather happy he'd forgone his boots and his usual hanfu he wore. To find himself running along the coast with Itto not far behind while wearing what basically amounted to an oversized sweater. That he could actual keep some sort of pace even with their height difference.

And the laugh that escaped him when the Oni picked him up...it was almost akin to an excited child. His tail wagging eagerly as he tried to wriggle from the man's grasp. Even if he truthfully didn't want to be put down.

"Ah-! Alright, alright~! You've caught me~!"

Perhaps it was a bit egotistical to say, but truly that was how she felt. Hands on her hips as she looked up at the other. Not that he'd said it, but hearing it mere moments ago had more or less soured her mood. And rambling aloud seemed to get that frustration out. Even if it came with the consequence of attracting a listener.

"My mother says that there is beauty in all things. But with that being the case...I feel as though I deserve something a little more."

Maybe that was the pride that came with being what Shoi-Ming was. Something she couldn't really shake even when she may try to. Even with how often she could find herself resting in random places. But even a dragon slumbering beneath a tree should be more than beautiful. Such a sight was, after all, very uncommon to find. Or, she supposed it must have been. There weren't many of them left. Least of all the Sovereigns. So- yes, beautiful was simply too little for her!

The electro around its body reacts in sizzling arcs as it cries out and falls. "That was a close one!" Hopping off a nearby rock, Ajax lazily twirls his bow before tucking it away. "You know, you shouldn't be wandering around in their territory. They've started putting up road signs to warn people off." (boy delivery from you know who)

The sound of the arrow whizzing past had barely even caught his attention at first. Not until he heard the sound of the lawachurl groaning before its subsequent collapse. And the little Sovereign would look up and around. Locking eyes with the stranger as he tilted his head. "Huh? Territory?" He stood up now, holding the small lizard he'd found in his hands.

"I can't read." Simple and easy enough. Whether it be an actual sign that most people could decipher or not. He really hadn't been paying attention. He'd just been following a butterfly and then from there he'd found a lizard. The weird creatures that had bothered him on the way were just- well, they were just that. Weird creatures. And they stopped as soon as he'd wandered far enough past them, so why worry over it?

"Did you shoot that thingy? The big one? He was sleeping when I came over here..."

He'd already been starting to pull one of the many frogs from his pocket by the time the other started speaking again. Clearly not paying attention until the other pulled that fruit out. His head tilting as he held onto the creature in his hands. A step forward taken as if he needed to investigate if further first.

"A local delica- delic...I'm not gonna say that." He just couldn't get the word to form correctly in his mouth and it was annoying. Amethyst eyes glance up at him, then down at the frog. Then back up. "What is it?"

Hmm, much like a child, it seemed their attention was being being pulled in another direction all too soon for his likings too - he may need to think on something that might grab their attention - though their own claims certainly grab his. Hear the earth cry? He'd only heard such nonsense from Columbina before - and who knew how much of her drivel could be trusted. "I see. Something akin to your natural abilities would be a rather foolish thing to take, that I would agree", he placed the vials away again, pulling out instead what appeared to be a small fruit, "Then allow me to simply suggest a local delicacy"

There's a whimper that escapes the former Sovereign of Geo as he holds his hands to his eyes. Shaking his head violently despite this. Scrambling back. The taste of Diluc's blood still on his tongue. How had that happened? What had driven him to bite like that? And why...why was Diluc not upset with him?

"Hurt you- I hurt you very badly-. It- I need- I need to go away again- I do-."

Really it was a miracle sometimes that the Sovereign could stay awake. That there was time that he could travel and experience things. Maybe it was just due to the changes in the world around him. That the form he took now was so different. Used more energy. But he was so...tired. And so when he'd come across the field of vines, of course he'd decided to just curl up among them. The scent was nice and the grass was comfortable.

The sound of steps, however, woke them up. Amethyst gaze darting around for a moment. "...hello-?"

"A dragon!"

It was, after all, his first day wandering outside of the Chasm after whatever had finally worked to awaken him. The last time he had seen another dragon- it had been the day his mother hid him away. And thusly he was- rather surprised. Had there been such little time that passed between then and now? Or were dragons wandering around as humans becoming more normal? Shoi-Ming had only done it because- well, he couldn't get out of the Chasm otherwise.

His own amethyst eyes were simply staring up at the man. His tail coiled around his own legs. And then he was reaching up, looking over the vision on instinct- it was shiny! And then- he'd try to bite it before scrambling back slightly.
