Hello everyone!

This is an interest check for a little project I've been thinking about doing for a little while now! It's called Dreamers for Palestine!

It's a multi creator zine that I want to make that will support multiple mediums of creation and fanwork, and all proceeds will be going to networks doing relief and connection for people on the ground like ESims For Gaza, and any other on the ground relief funds I can find that are helping people with things like menstrual products, baby formula, medicine, food, water, toiletries and more! A lot of these funds are getting way less traction than people think they are, and it is important now more than ever to keep the Palestinian people connected to the world and to support them with day to day living needs, especially with the closure of the Palestine/Egypt border. This fanzine aims to donate as much of the received funds as possible to organizations on the ground and to the esims group!

donations for fics!

hello everyone! i've recently begun to support and spread the word about Renad's and Amani's campaign:

Renad is a midwife in Gaza and is trying to get her and her family out. this is her gofundme that has a current goal of £25,000. they are a little past the halfway point at the moment, which is encouraging!!

Amani is a mother of 3 children struggling to live in the encampment areas in Rafah. they are under constant threat of bombing and invasion, and the heat of the summer has made it difficult for her children to seek out shelter. Amani's family lives in fear and pain, and at the moment, they haven't raised even a third of their $17,732 goal

however, in an effort to help gather more donations, i am going to be writing ficlets for any donations that are made to Renad's or Amani's gofundmes! the amount donated will correlate with the length of the ficlet, and donations ranging from £5-10 will make ficlets similar to this length and this length. if you donate less than £5 or more than £10, we can talk about other ideas in exchange for your donation

please send proof of your donation to Renad's or Amani's campaign either via inbox or DM (both are open!) and after i have checked it, you can then send in whatever prompt you'd like! i am also willing to act as a beta for any wips, or exchange ideas, or help with designing a plot for one. please also let me know if you would like your ficlet published publicly or if you'd rather keep it private on a document

so uh. i really. really hate that i'm having to make this post but i want to take some stress off of their brother's shoulders

@phillipsgraves passed away this evening from covid complications, so please keep me and their family in your thoughts because this... is obviously a tremendous loss for all of us. they were a wonderfully talented, smart person and an amazing friend to everybody around them, especially to me. i'm lucky i got even 5 years with them... i just wish it could've been more we had so many plans together :(

as of right now, i don't know if they have any plans to set up a donation fund or anything of the sort, but if they do, i'll let you guys know

Okay but has anyone ever wondered why some of the popular locations that are present on the maps of both Kamurocho and Sotenbori like "Maharaja" disco and "Gandhara" video shop have Indian origin names??

Like Maharaja means "King" or "Emperor" in many Indian languages while Gandhara is an important kingdom in the main plotline of the ancient mythological epic Mahabharata, located near the northwest part of the Indian subcontinent.

So, I wonder what prompted the creators to name these places these very random things? And why these two in particular? Is there a real life connection here as well, as with everything else in Yakuza? Was there an active (and presumably wealthy) Indian community in Japan's nightlife scene in the 80s and 90s? Or is it just to seem worldly and exotic?

I need answers, SEGA. Belonging to perhaps one of the rarest nationalities to play Yakuza, I NEED ANSWERS.

yes offense actually but like "uuhmm this trans headcanon doesnt make SENSE though" has always been one of just. the most inane takes in fandom ever like. assuming the person making it is someone whos otherwise an ally to trans people/not transphobic (just because with people who are transphobic that an issue thats obviously much bigger than just fandom stuff) whyy !! do you give a shit !!! like why !!! like bla bla i understand if you dont think the idea of that character being trans makes sense or you think something is canon contradicts it or you dont think its in character whatever it is you dont have to hc them as trans if you dont see them as trans you can even talk about how you think theyre cis if you want but like. its literally not hard to just not treat people who do have those trans headcanons as if theyre wrong or that their interpretation of the character is stupid/something to be mocked or act as though your superior for not reading them that way like. even if that doesnt come from a place of transphobia you will inevitably read that way to some people and regardless like. who gives a shit if someone is seeing themselves within a character/reading that character the way they want to esp in regards to a group of people with such a pitiful lack of positive representation as trans people. like get over yourself
