“Chris I’m not fucking holding your gun, so I’m definitely not fucking shooting it” I told Chris as he had his pistol on the kitchen table

“Baby why not? We literally got targets on our back because of who I am. I want my lady to be able to handle her own if I’m not there” he said in a matter of fact way

“Yeah a target on our back because of the life YOU chose to run with….plus I will always have you, so no” I said drinking my water

“What if I’m in a headlock, the pistols on the ground, and any one of his goons could come and pop me, and then pop you” he said raising his eyebrows

“Well then the lord better be on our side cause I ain’t picking up your gun” I said shrugging my shoulders

He picks up his gun and points it at me

“CHRISTOPHER HAVE YOU LOST YOUR FUCKING MIND” I said flinching

“BANG BANG BANG, you’re dead” and then he turns the gun on himself “BANG BANG BANG, I’m dead” he said laughing

“Put the fucking gun down now” I said getting upset with him

“Baby the clips empty, and I took the bullet out” he said showing me the gun

“Give me the fucking gun, and show me how to use it” I said getting annoyed

“YES IM TEACHING MY BABYYY, I’m gonna have my own personal shooter” he said getting excited

Flashback over

Tonight Chris’s friends were having a party after one of the guys got released from prison. They rented out a whole club for this kid

“I don’t want to go” I said to Chris dragging my feet

“Come on, why not it’s a nice area. The club is only open for us, and you know ima protect you” he said getting dressed

I was already ready, but I just didn’t want to go anymore. I felt like this was our whole life…. parties, fast cars and thugs….but I digress

“Fine I’ll fucking go” I said getting my outfit picked out. It was cold in Boston, so I decided on a long sleeve fitted black shirt, medium wash baggy boyfriend jeans, and my black Air Force 1s (shawty on demon time). I flat ironed my hair, and put on my black north face puffer jacket

“The black air forces?? Whose head are you stompin on tonight?” Chris asked laughing

“Anybody who fucks with you” I said putting my perfume on

“Blue jeans or black” he asked me

“Black” I said back

Chris came out in an all black shirt, with black jeans, his timberland boots on, and his black puffer coat

“Alright baby Boston Red Sox black and white hat, or Yankees” he asked

“Boston….HELLOOO” I said laughing at him

“Duhhh how could I be so stupid” he said making a dumb face

We had driven to the location of the club, and it was indeed a nice area, but it was known for gangs so there were some dodgy people out.

“Don’t leave my side at all” Chris said helping me out the passenger side, and shutting the door behind me

“Never baby” I said, and he locked the car

We walked to the club, and immediately I recognized everybody there. I even seen some of my girl friends who were either dating or messing around with one of these guys

The whole night we had such a blast, laughing, talking, drinking and dancing. Although these people had some crazy shit under their belt, they were actually super nice and respectful people.

“Yoo there’s some kids out there, talking about Drew’s gang or whatever” one of Chris friends came up and said to all of us

“That little fucking kid with the tattoos on his face?” Chris asked

“Yeah, he’s getting mad staticy outside, and wallin out. The security guards about to lay his ass out” he said

“Tell that fucking kid that I’m going to be dealing with his soon” Chris said taking a sip of his drink

“Ai, he’s alone so he ain’t gonna try some shit” he said to Chris

“Even if he does…I’m strapped tonight” Chri said lifting his shirt up exposing the pistol in his waistband

His friend nodded at him, and went to head back out to relay the message to the other guy.

“Baby….for once not tonight” I said looking at Chris

“I’m not gonna do anything, but if people start talking crazy” he said raising his hands up

“No Chris! You have to stop this” I told him taking a sip of my drink

“What?? I’ll bust him in his medulla….nobody will fuck wit me after that” Chris said laughing

I just shook my head and laughed at him

At this point it was about 2AM, and we all started to head out. We walked outside, and Chris was saying bye to the security guard and some of his friends

I was waiting for Chris to finish chatting with his security guard, when I saw someone in the corner of my eye. For once can someone not try Chris and I

“Yoo this your man?” The kid said coming up to me and pointing at Chris

I just ignored him, me being from New York…you never ever turn your head when someone’s coming up from behind you to ask you, or tell you something. That’s a death wish.

“You deaf ma?” I heard him say again

“Yo get the fuck outta here” I heard Chris say from behind me

“Yo get the fuck outta here Chris, Drew’s people got something for your ass, and it’s gonna start with your lady here” he said nodding his head at me

“Did you just threaten my woman” I heard Chris say, and he started to walk towards him, so I turned around to watch this glancing at the security guard to keep an eye out

“Don’t shoot the messenger…..you keep fucking wit our guys…they gonna come for you” he said

“I’ll shoot you, and the motherfucka who sent you” Chris said getting closer to the guy

“Babe stop” I said trying to keep Chris calm

“Yeah listen to your lady…wouldn’t want her with a hole between her eyes now would we?” He asked smuggly

All of a sudden I just see Chris swing at the guy, his right fist connecting with his cheek

“DONT YOU EVER FUCKING SAY SOME SHIT ABOUT KILLING MY GIRL. ILL FUCKING KILL YOUR WHOLE LIFELINE BITCH” Chris screamed at him and they started to throw punches

“CHRIS PLEASE STOP, THIS HAS TO FUCKING STOP PLEASE” I said begging, but not wanting to get in between them because I was not about to get cracked in the jaw

I'm not sure what happened but they started to struggle with each other, and were just scuffling. I had a feeling the guy felt Chris’s gun, and was trying to grab it

“FUCK YOU” Chris started to scream and started throwing punches at the guys ribs, as he had Chris in a headlock

All of a sudden his pistol fell out, and at the same time the guy got Chris on his back on the ground, and they were throwing punches.

The pistol slid pretty far, and I was contemplating on if I wanted to pick it up or not…..Fuck it…this is my man, and I will fucking do anything to protect him

I picked up the pistol, and cocked it back

“GET THE FUCK OFF OF MY MAN, OR I WILL BLOW YOUR FUCKING HEAD OFF” I yelled at the guy, both of them turning to look at me

“You’re a little bitch, you ain’t pulling no fucking trigger fuck outta here” he said still struggling with Chris

I don’t know what came over me, but I moved the gun from pointed at his head to pointed just behind it, and then I pulled the trigger

The bullet flew right past his head, and it was so fucking loud, everybody froze including me

“THE FUCK” the guy yelled, and while he was looking at me Chris used this to punch him on the jaw knocking him backwards

Chris got up, and came over to me, and grabbed the pistol out of my hands

He walked over to the guy, standing over him and grabbed him by his shirt

All of a sudden Chris pistol whipped the guy, and I gasped covering my mouth

“If you ever come around me and my people, and my FUCKING woman again talking out your neck I’m going to come for your whole fucking blood line, got it” he said as he held the pistol under the kids chin

“Yeah yeah” the guy said out of it

“NO FUCKING YEAH YEAH, YOU GET IT OR YOU DONT WE WOULDNT WANT TO SEND YOU BACK TO DREW WHTH A BULLET BETWEEN YOUR BROWS NOW WOULD WE” Chris said laying the gun in between the guys brows

“No no….I promise you’re all good. I’ll never fucking look at yall ever again” he said in fear

“Yeah you better not, and if we ever cross paths again…you better cross to the other side of the street. Cause you just earned a target on your back, and when I’m ready to pop you and your people I'm coming for yous ….cause all my opps is targets, see the red dot no target got it bitch” he said throwing the guy down onto the ground

Chris looked at his security and nodded for him to get rid of the kid, and keep everything on hush. He tucked the pistol into his waistband and grabbed my hand

“Lets go ma” he said walking with me

We got into the car, and I was still so shocked by everything

“Look at you….almost boomed the kids face off for me” he said smirking

“I don’t know what took over me, but I knew I wanted to hurt him to protect you” I said to Chris

“That’s exactly how I feel everytime someone fucks with you” he said leaning in and kissing me

“You’re not going to go after him right?” I asked

“No, but it creates enough fear in his heart that he won’t even fuck with us ever again” he said putting the car in drive, and grabbing my hand to interlock it

“Chris we have to stop this lifestyle” I told him

“And we will baby, I promise you” he said kissing my hand as he drove off

Alright this was part 3, and I may or may not write a part 4 depending on the feedback, but this one was my favorite one to write 💋💋

Gallifreyans are superior in all conceivable physical and mental ways, but humans are superior in two ways:

👶 Procreation and Survival

Firstly, humanity's incredible ability to multiply and survive through countless adversities is, admittedly, impressive. While Gallifreyans boast superior intellect, resilience, and longevity, humans have an almost baffling knack for enduring and thriving against all odds. This adaptability, while crude, has allowed humankind to last across the ages.

🤦Humans Are Stupid

That's not actually an insult - it's a compliment. Because humans are so stupid in comparison to Gallifreyans, it means that they aren't yet bored by the Universe and its intricacies. With the amount Ashton and Mal argue, one would think they dislike each other. They can get really heated when their opinions differ and out of context, they're always having a go at one another. Once the argument is over, though, it's like it never even happened, especially when one or the other has convinced the other of their right, and it's backed up by logic.

There's been a few times that Mal got so peeved with Ashton, she's duct taped a picture of his face to a punching bag just to beat the shit out of his stupid face. Ashton thinks it's especially funny to antagonise her further when that happens. She gets over it after a day.

Often times, when Mal didn't want to be alone, but also didn't really want a conversation, they'd just ask Ashton to watch the stars. They'd sit on the roof together and Ashton would talk about space, astronomy, cosmology, and astrophysics until Mal would just fall asleep against him.

At one point, when Ashton was sick with the flu, Mal thought to make him chicken soup (something Charlie had taught her works against being sick) and even though it was instant chicken soup, she let it burn so much that it ruined his pot. They promised never to cook for him ever again and let Charlie handle that in the future.

They’ve sparred together in the gym many a times just for the fun of it and sometimes those are just the best way to settle a score between their constant arguments. Who wins fluctuates between both of them and so a decisive victory has never been called overall, but Ash has won some and lost some sometimes making lame excuses like his shoulder hurts, other times incredibly impressed with them and their ability and of course gives them their flowers and concede. There was once a time that he couldn't remember what they argued about anymore, definitely physics and research related originally simply seeking their opinion on one of his work and Mal decimated the entire section of work with a simple question. What's worse is that they were right but Ash tried to refute it in so many ways that resulted the argument in a spar to settle it. And he remembered the decisive lost, pushing a little too hard on maybe very little sleep with a deadline drawing near, and inflaming his old shoulder injury. After conceding defeat and getting a scolding from Ruth, he spent the next 24 hours redoing the entire section of his paper without a break and made it for the deadline submission. But they were fucking right.

Mal was the one he sought help from when Sada infiltrated his home and fucked it up with a terrible smell in his apartment, Mal found the weird shit hidden in the vents and nooks and crannies all around his apartment much to Ash's chagrin. He apologized and told Mal she didn't have to help him with it considering the stench but they told him to stop being stupid and stayed with him the entire night until they were sure they cleared every single piece, airing out the entire apartment until the smell was gone. Ash treated them to a good hearty breakfast as the sun rose once they were done and then immediately crashed to sleep thereafter.

Mal honestly finds Ash's field of study boring, in the theoretical studies of physics to further research into space, and vice versa. Ash finds the mechanics of engineering extremely boring, brain more suitable at seeing big macro picture, what they were much better at micro. And perhaps that's the realize why they work so well together, despite all the aggressive arguing. To a stranger, Ash and Mal would look as if they hate each other's guts 100% and yet they don't. A deep profound respect for each other was always there despite ruthless words at each other. Brutal honesty might just be one of the deepest levels of friendship and that was absolutely something the two of them have.

When Mal asks Ashton to hang with them on the roof to stargaze, Ash knows something might be bothering them, sleep hard to come by, but he never asks about it, simply agreeing and helping put together their usual set up, lying down by the lounge chairs, no important words spoken as they laid there watching the stars slowing move across the sky throughout the night. Sometimes Ash would point of specific constellations, planets and galaxies when he spots them, murmur some fun facts about them, he knows Mal find them boring, and the perfect thing to help her tune out anything bothering them and fall right asleep. And usually once enough time passes, Ash helps carry them back to their apartment and let them get the sleep they deserved.

honestly, looking at these slew of questions, narcissus (narci) spokes, hya’s third eldest sibling (so the one right above him) and main character of prim & provocative, is honestly the most on the nose and interesting choice bc yikes on bikes, her love life is a fright. by proxy we will be talking about her (ex) husband myrtus spokes because most of her trauma in love is his fault :DDDD

myrtus lying about their relationship is the crux of what’s gone wrong with everything in their lives pff. tl;dr myrtus is a childhood friend of the second sibling in the gunn family, iberis, and the two of them went off to university together: iberis for science and medicine and myrtus for business. during their time at university, they made their relationship official but didn’t tell either of their families especially because myrtus’s family was getting sucked into the traditionalist movement at the time and started to become more and more adamant about myrtus marrying a natal woman basically. which yknow. iberis is not. tm.

to circumvent this issue (bc myrtus’s parents were pretty much threatening to disown him if he didn’t), tagetes meddled and offered the solution: marry narcissus and by doing so, you and iberis can still be “close” and continue ur relationship in secret—perhaps even having iberis move in with narci and myrtus while he gets his doctoral license. iberis isn’t happy with this arrangement At All, but myrtus feels caught between a rock and a hard place and decides to go through with the marriage to narci. it’s not too hard to convince her, as she’s familiar with myrtus and is excited that he’s “marrying her for love!” — and that’s the problem. myrtus never told narci (and neither did tagetes or iberis) that myrtus wasn’t in romantic love with her, and to put on a show for the spokes (myrtus’s parents) myrtus had to make it appear as though he had every intention of being in a “real” relationship with her, kids included.

it fucks narci up a LOT when she realizes the truth so i’d say this entire thing blew up in their faces which is why p&p even exists LMAO 😬

👎Do they have a relationship that’s a perfect example of “what not to do” in their life?

narci always looked at her parents (lonicera and clematis gunn) as an example of what not to have in a relationship. in the sense that… loni was always way too good for clematis and everyone knew it. the man cheated behind her back, embezzled her dowry funds, was everything but physically abusive, and couldn’t even be fucked to visit her as she was dying—instead sired a fourth child with another (unknown to narci) woman. a lot of times people assume narci is stupid—she’s not. she wishes she was stupid and acts accordingly. but she never wanted to be in a relationship where her husband disrespected her, and that’s honestly what hurt so much about myrtus being in love with someone else: he DID love narci, in a way, just not in the way she wanted and he was kind and caring towards her their whole relationship. she had the chance to have something her mother never had and yet somehow it wasn’t enough. it hurts her deeply <3

in terms of myrtus, not really. his parents are assholes but they compliment one another and didn’t always used to be like this—they used to be better people. so it’s not their relationship that he disavows, it’s moreso their political and mounting extreme religious beliefs that he doesn’t fuck with.

i mean, despite everything, myrtus tries not to end their relationship catastrophically. he gently tells narci and offers a divorce and still pays for everything for her even after being separated. somewhat out of guilt but mostly because he does care about her generally speaking and wants her to be well. it doesn’t mean it doesn’t hurt her though and she uhhhh goes on a bender basically, which is all of what p&p is about her kinda getting emotionally fucked and trying to figure herself out after the fact.

myrtus and iberis’s lovers->fwb (cheating)-> lovers again was HORRIBLY messy and myrtus does regret that he didn’t try and stick up for himself to his family, though to be slightly fair he also had tagetes’s meddling in his ear during the situation. he’s a grown man tho and he could’ve said no, and it takes him a very very long time for iberis to forgive him, which p much plays out throughout lavendula’s book monochrome.

👀How do they feel about the concept of “love at first sight”? Do they believe in it?

neither of them believe in it. narci wishes she could because it’s super romantic but as she slowly learns she lowkey isn’t romantically inclined, she realizes that she sees people more as good friends or wants to be around people to be friendly versus like bc she is in Love with them. myrtus is too factual and skeptical to believe in that, though he definitely believes in attraction at first sight lol.

👥Are they jealous of any of their friends’ or family members’ relationships?

myrtus, not so much. no one has a good relationship in this circle until amon and hya eventually become a thing, but he’s not particularly close with either of them in canon enough for that to matter to him. with narci though—she’s always been jealous of her younger sister for a myriad of reasons, and the fact that lavendula is able to escape her shit marriage by finding someone who loves her for who she is (erecia) gets her uhHhhH peeved lol.

trying to think of things we haven't already discussed much LOL

Before she met him, Mid had an idea of how Joshua could be because Clive spoke so much about him and about his need to see him again. But Mid thought he would be more similar to Clive, even if she knew they hadn't seen each other in years. That's what caught her off guard the most when they first met. She felt stupid for having an idea of how he'd be. Spoiler: he's much better than she imagined HAHA 🥰

They're both nerds and it brought them close quite easily when Joshua started helping her in her workshop, but Mid could also relate to him in some ways, even if they were not speaking about this at first. For example, both of them lost both of their parents and back in Kanver, Mid felt like she didn't really belong, she felt lonely, a bit like Joshua during all these years away. It has helped her seeing right through him from the start; she could read him quite easily.

Okay last one: Mid accepted her feelings for him one of the many times he was at the infirmary and she was at his side. She realized she just refused to lose him, and when his eyes lighten as he saw her, it was just "I love him. He loves me. And maybe it's complicated but I don't care anymore. He's worth it."

Although Mal initially didn't know what to do with JP when they first came to live across the hall, since then, Mal has seen in him a sort of kinship. Their sore spots are the same, and the way he deals with them is familiar to Mal themself, if they allow themself to go down that road at all. While JP is perfectly capable of protecting himself, Mal has always felt especially protective of him out of all the Rose siblings.

Being so similar, Mal also quickly recognised that, like her, JP is more practical-minded. Neither of them did well in school, and not because they're particularly stupid. Mal chalks it up to just being a bit impatient and their learning styles are incongruent with what the academic circuit has to offer. Whenever Mal would work on her bikes in the garage and JP wasn't out doing jobs for Sada or stoned out his mind in some corner, she'd teach him practical mechanical engineering. And since he's not stupid, she also expected him to get it right after one explanation.

Whenever they'd get drunk enough watching Super Bowl, the Roses, Ash, and her, inevitably Mal would usually find herself draped over JP's lap, half leaning on him, half hanging off him, being louder than most others ever would've expected from them.

Although JP is four years older than them, Mal feels a responsibility towards him akin to that of an older sibling, and like an older sibling, whenever he'd ask them to do something or needed help with something, Mal would act the most exasperated and annoyed as they were capable of. But she'd always be right there to do whatever he needed.
