just read the new mutants issue where Charles chose to stay behind in space and my god the juxtaposition between Charles trusting Erik and Erik joining the hellfire club and wondering at his own trust worthiness. I wonder how much of Charles decision was him ultimately trying to avoid the fact that his first class had seemingly betrayed mutant kind and not be willing to face them and how much of it was Dani and Illyana's reaction to him having Karma mind control Illyana. the fact that Illyana was depending on him to ease her mind through limbo and in choosing to stay he forced karma to do it instead, probably fucking up their relationship in the process.
I love him, this is crazy, how much of this is him trying to runaway and how much is this him not trusting himself to fix things and how much is it just him trusting Erik?
i keep trying to put into words my exact thoughts about the sitch but there really is a lot for one issue aintit... oh charles you and your brain...

Considering that we're gonna be entering Natlan in the next nation of genshin. I have a few words I wanna say on it.
On one hand, I'm so happy we're finally gonna see Capitano and learn about all the new lore, ect!
But on the other hand, I'm really nervous on what hoyoverse is going to be doing with the people in the nation considering the treatment with Sumeru and the fact that Natlan is inspired off of West African cultures and Latin America.
But considering the character designs of Vannessa and Iansan, I have some(what) faith in hoyo (fingers crossed!)
#I don't have much high hopes in hoyo (other than my delulu thoughts but that's on me) but I have some trust in hoyo...#Not much considering Vannessa is a bit light skinned but like I said above. I have some faith in hoyo#Plus. Iansan's design looks promising#Tbh I feel like hoyo will make black characters. Just really light skinned....#Take that above tag with a grain of salt since I have no clue what hoyoverse is going to do#Tbh take this whole post as a grain of salt. My favourite part about ‘morally grey’ characters by FAR is like. The dichotomy between who they are and who they’re trying to be. Does their moral compass naturally point to Good, but they’re trying desperately to abandon their morals in order to survive?? Or are they so broken down already that it’s naturally pointing to Evil, even as they consciously try to do The Right Thing?? Idk but either way it is AMAZING to read (when done justice ofc).

I don’t get why people feel like the Duolingo owl is threatening, if I ever feel like he is I just get mad at him. I could fight an owl. I don’t know if I’d win, but I don’t think I’d lose (two things that can apparently coexist). I think I’d survive at least and that’s not really winning but also not losing.

I could check my streak#I was like ‘psh. it will be harder with my disabilities. but I should be able to read. my top priority with this language’#and then I realized I had been somehow adapting to the other two languages since childhood and forgot how much I had to work around#I mean. I knew I was worse at language arts in school than I was in literature and writing. but still#I also already knew I was worse at making new sentences in other languages than I was figuring out ones that someone else made#but I thought that was just because I hadn’t used Spanish much for several years now#every time I try to re-learn Spanish it just ends up with me being able to figure out what someone said to me but not how to answer#if i brushed up on it again i could probably have a conversation with someone who understood English but better spoke Spanish#someone with the same problem as me but reversed language wise#please don’t take this as me saying I could currently have an entire conversation with someone speaking Spanish#I’m better than someone who never learned it and didn’t encounter it’s use a lot. but I really don’t think I could have a real conversation#not at the moment at least#I have been meaning to brush up on Spanish again too. there are at least real classes in my area for it and not just an app#the last time there were Norwegian classes around here my dad was in college and old people still spoke it#no one around here speaks it anymore
