Does ink has disorder of any kind?

I assume this is related to Ink in Perseverance lol. Okay, s o. I tend to write Ink with some tendencies that I have because it's easier to write more realistic depictions of things if I draw from my own life as inspiration lmao. As such, the only thing I am confident saying he has is social anxiety, as that is the only thing that I'm officially diagnosed with.

That said, I've seen people comment that he displays depressive tendencies, as well as having vivid flashbacks and tends to dissociate as what is sometimes typical of PTSD. Since I mostly write these things based off of personal experience, I am hesitant to say he has these things lol, especially since "mental health testing" doesn't exist in my world as much.

Does that mean he doesn't have them?? E e e e h h. Let's just say the only thing I am 100% sure in saying he has is social anxiety✧˖°.

but so hmmm a couple things no one's pointed out, as of my noticing,

-when the mains are looking at the newspaper about gardenview's shutdown, astro is looking at dandy, not the paper

-a lot of poeple noted the progression in the frames of delilah and the toons, but i don't think anyone's pointed out the sharp decline delilah has, like she got noticeably weak after creating finn, she's fallen down after making rodger, him trying to offer to help her(he was the only toon to notice something was wrong with her), the ichor stain on the floor when razzle and dazzle were made, (though it's plenty ambiguous, like maybe she spilled some ink/ichor my intention was that she threw up (threw up Before r&d were actually Made, it’s a stain she just hasn’t covered up yet)) and the stain is covered up with a rug when teagan is made. she's also wearing her glasses on her face more regularly as she makes them, and is sitting/leaning more often

-also some people thought shrimpo punched delilah here for no reason or just bc he’s angry/violent, but as the frames progress it goes from Immediately after the toon’s creation to Going to leave the room to introduce them to the others, he punched her bc he had Just been brought to life and she was in his face. scared him by accident <:]

-also arthur only got to be there for a small number of the toons creations, bc delilah was getting worse and she didn’t want him to see her like that

now a lot of delilah’s Deterioration comes from my own preconceived headcanons about toon creation from my ocverse that I’m just applying here for fun, but so: making a toon is extracting a fully formed and cognizant Thing from your heart and mind, your soul. a toon is generally going to be about as smart as you are, plus everything you intend for them to be. so that kinda takes a physical toll on you if you're making So Many and especially in a pretty short time frame. she's still making every toon on a different day but she's certainly not giving herself enough of a recovery period.

So I'll do both, starting with the first one.

Stars:

I find it amazing when Dream is given less innocence, but also isn't an asshole. I know this isn't really a 'headcanon', but the amount of times Dream is either some innocent toddler or an asshole is ridiculous. Like give him morals and stuff that he might lash out at but come on.

Dream having possession of something that reminds him of Passive Nightmare, a journal or some pictures. Maybe something like Basil's photo album from Omori.

When they aren't all assholes... AHHH I LOVE IT. I know this is the bare minimum but the stars have been butchered by the fandom so badly ☹️

Ink knowing about some AU details, but not all. It's more interesting, he may forget some of it anyway, as he's very forgetful.

Swap not being yandere.

Them being friends, I don't like them having drama, or at least if they do they can ignore it to protect the multiverse.

Most of my headcanons focus on the bad sanses since that's how I maintained my interest in the fandom. I've always preferred villains in stories. There's probably more I'm just not remembering. I know theres more it's just not coming to mind

Bad Sanses:

Dadmare is a headcanon I have always LOVED. it's not my main au, so depending on how I want a story to go, I may adjust characters, but Dadmare is a guilty pleasure.

Headcanons that delve deep into the mental of them. How Horror is mentally, Dust is, Killer is, Cross, error etc.

Speaking of that, Cross being a part of the bad sanses is a must, or he must be at least aligned with them (I'll discuss what this means in another post) and Error must occasionally work alongside them, and would have a room at the castle.

BRO I could yap for ages oml.

A general idea that Horror, Killer and Dust cancel out each other flaws. Horror is amazing physically, Dust is amazing magically, Killer is a mix. They all balance out another. Like I'm not saying Horror is gonna wipe the floor with with Murder, but he would certainly stand a chance, and given a chance, would easily win. Killers a Jack of all trades, hes fantastic magically and physically, but doesn't specialise. However since he has both he can use his skills to confuse apponents.

Silly Killer is funny.

okay this is actually kind of hard to write about. I can do bad headcanons easier. So in no particular order:

Making Fell abusive towards Lust

Making the Fallen Starts exist... I've seen them properly executed less than 5 times.

Making Horror act EXTREMELY feral (I do like it, but there's a line... and people treat it like a fucking jump rope.)

Making Nightmare extremely horrible. I don't mean he has to be a dad, but I personally have a limit, I like the angst, it's just not what I'd personally have in my AU.

The Bad Sanses becoming 'good', maybe they're not as bad as people thought, but making them good I don't like.

I think my least favourite headcanon of all time would probably be like Classic being on the star sanses.

I LOVE MY BOY CLASSIC OKAY. AND I WANT HIM NEUTRAL. And when he joins the stars for some reason he veomes super emo and depressed and shit and suddenly has an alter ego like this is some Jeckyl and Hyde. I don't like him being on the star sanses AT ALL.

feels she doesnt need a caretaker or a friend, shes not going to let anyone think that shes gone soft after falling from grace- she takes the longest to warm up to your kindness

either lashes out at you or the lamb due to feeling that youve been assigned as a babysitter to make sure she doesnt do anything- sure, the lamb has no reason to trust her or her siblings to behave themselves in the cult BUT that doesnt make it any less humiliating!

she does get used to your company with time- youre stubborn... talking together is easy because youve taken the time to learn sign language and youre more than happy to teach her

you leave her baskets with various teas and medicines to help soothe her throat on days where it hurts more- due to strain or weather or its simply one of her worst days... shes thankful for your effort but she shows it through guiding you on what works for her and what she likes

KALLAMAR

torn between him expecting you to tend to his every need and him being too nervous to push things and risk punishment from you or the lamb- you are a disciple after all, you can do things other followers arent permitted to do - and... oh youre... spending time with him because you genuinely want to?

he doesnt know what to make of it, too scared to really try anything to risk you leaving him alone

i personally headcanon that hes hard of hearing, probably deaf in one of his ears... he can still hear just barely- he takes you up on any offers to teach him sign to help minimize problems down the line

loooooooves the little care packages you leave for him- treats, goodies, and generally stuff he can use to upkeep himself- its nice still receiving "offerings" after everything!

SHAMURA

you... actually come in handy in helping keep them on track as well as reminding them of things they need to do or things that have been said- things have gotten so much harder since theyve lost their crown so your help is appreciated

one of the things you leave for them is ink and journals so they can keep track of things on their own when youre not around as well as generally granting them a space to put down their own thoughts in a private setting

your kindness makes you easy to talk to, you both do a lot of that... well... actually its mostly you doing most of the talking. shamura does a lot of listening but they prompt you to keep going or tries to find a subject to fill the silence

even if you were sent by the lamb to keep an eye on them theyd understand- if they were in the lambs place and decided to spare them theyd have someone to keep an eye on them... not really that offended about it plus they get a companion!

David Powers x reader // First meeting headcanons

Warnings: Stalking

Notes: A little short, a little crappy with an abrupt end, but I had to do something for David... The man just feels like he's begging to have something written for him, so I'm stretching out the old fingers...

David spots you amongst the vast crowd on the boardwalk. He's not entirely sure what in particular drew his gaze to you specifically, but he doesn't think too much about it before zeroing in on you - a predator eyeing up potential prey.

He trails after you - unable to really help himself. He makes sure to keep himself just out of sight, and does so for the better part of an hour. He keeps a keen eye on what you do - what fairground rides you seem to like, and which of the carny games you seem more willing to turn your hand at.

You're absolutely clueless at first - you have no idea that here's there, following your each and every move, scouting you out to see if you're good enough. If you're worthy enough or have the guts to join his secret little club.

Night after night he follows you - slowly becoming less and less careful with blending into the crowd or staying out of your sight. It takes about two or three days for you to notice that you're being actively followed, and by a man who you can tell only wants trouble, no less.

You leave it for a little while - sure, it's weird, but he doesn't seem to be wanting to cause you harm. That is until you literally bump into him twice in once day. That's enough to really set the alarm bells off, and you can't deal with it anymore.

You confront him, right there on the boardwalk - almost yelling at him to fuck off and leave you alone, to cut it out, and piss off. And despite being slightly taken aback by how forcefully you're telling him to get lost, there's something beneath the surface that only... Strengthens. Instead of driving him away from you, this little outburst only endears you more to him.

His stalking only becomes more obvious and brazen from there. You hate it, and protest to him every time he comes too close to you - he backs off for a couple of days, but he never really stops. You're too precious to him already - his mind is set on you. He must have you.

The whole thing ends up in your favour, surprisingly enough though. You get into... A minor tussle with some less-than-savoury guys who frequent the board walk, same as the Lost Boys. And by minor, I mean; it's about to go to blows. You're a split second away from the main thug's fist connecting with your cheek, when the man stumbles back from a strike. And there, just in front of you, is your own stalker, sneering at the other man. "No you don't." He starts, in a taunting voice, as the other three young men who always seem to trail after him circle round, having dismounted their bikes.

David puts his arm around your shoulders, pulling you away from the crowd as he nods to his curly-haired friend, who grins back at him. "... You just have a thing for attracting men most would avoid, huh?" He chuckles to you - and at the glowering glare you give him, raises his hands in surrender, giving you a couple of steps of space. "Hey, hey... Just trying to help..." He chuckles. He gives you a crumpled bit of paper, an address by the looks of the inked scrawl on it. For if you have any other problems, he had said. The other boys - now caught up after giving the other group the little 'talk' they needed - had whooped and winked at you, before following their leader off towards the coastline.

Unfortunately I don't have an analysis or headcanon cuz I didn't have time to work on anything (work and adult responsibilities are a drag😓) BUT instead I'm just gonna talk about my favorite Wolverine comic issue so far of all of the ones I read: Weapon X by Barry Windsor-Smith‼️‼️

Train of thought, panel screenshots, and SPOILERS IF YOU HAVEN'T READ THIS ISSUE YET under the cut...

(I'm half typing this half rereading the comic to remind myself of certain parts but I'll try to go in chronological order so bear with me)

The first thing I loved about this comic was the way the panels were organized in the prologue. You get an idea of what Logan was doing and how he was living before he was kidnapped which parallels what the scientists were doing before they took him. These panels along with Logan's horrific nightmares and the cruel experiments of the scientists gave me an overall unsettling feeling that also made me really curious to keep reading.

The next thing I loved was the writing all throughout. There wasn't more or less writing than any other usual comic issue but the choice of not having an omniscient narrator using third person POV and instead having the characters tell the story was amazing🤩 This is because the characters only really know what they know and nothing more so you get to experience everything that happens with them and know how they feel about it. (Kinda unrelated but there's even text boxes that are cut off by the panel borders to emphasize when a character gets cut off by someone else or something happening all of a sudden). A side note about this is how I think they purposely didn't put Logan's thoughts and speech until a bit later to really push the idea of him being an "animal" while he was being experimented on and the effects of it on his cognition. An example of this is how his first spoken words were garbled and made up of mostly simple words and phrases. A side side note about the writing I love is how they make you feel confused and like you're losing your mind with Logan near the end after he wakes up from his dream/hallucination of killing the scientists.

The third thing I loved was the characterization. It's made somewhat clear the roles each of the three main scientists play in the story throughout the beginning: the professor being the most cruel/antagonizing to Logan, Dr. Cornelius being on the professor's side but still trying not to hurt Logan unnecessarily, and Carol Hines being sympathetic and caring about Logan's wellbeing.

The fourth thing was the graphic detail put into the descriptions of what Logan was going through. His pain being described in the most chilling ways possible really evoked emotional reactions from me (I felt so bad for him I almost cried a couple times😭).

Finally as an artist I absolutely adore the artstyle and just how much it pushes the feeling of fear, unease, and discomfort. The bright almost cartoonish colors contrast heavily against the extremely dark shadows that aren't overdoing it and leaves just enough to your imagination. The inks themselves are so scary (the panels with his skeleton covered in spikes or when he was dreaming being chased and overtaken by his "mutantism") and detailed it felt like I was reading a horror comic the entire time. I just know that if I read this comic when I was much younger it would've given me nightmares for sure😭

To end this post below is my favorite page and one of the best pages in all Wolverine comics imo in terms of inks, colors, composition, and text as well as accurately portraying just how deadly powerful Logan is💖💖💖

What is below the cut line is a (very long) list of my headcanons for The Jiang Sect.

FOREWARNING! Jiang Cheng is my favorite character, although I do not bash Wei Ying. JC is going to have the most, simply because he is the one I think of the most. If this is to be a problem for you, please stop reading here! Thank you!

Jiang Sect

With the weather of Lotus Pier, people who live there are known to have really curled hair. (Wei Wuxian never felt the need to curl his hair to look more “Jiang” since he never believed himself to be part of the main family truly)

Since Lotus Pier (and YunmengJiang as a whole) get the most direct sunlight out of all the main sects, the people that live there have very sunkissed skin—they are considered the second darkest skin tone of the main sects. (the Wen are first)

MeishanYu has a tradition of inking dark lines or dots on the skin of a person for every year they have lived or every achievement they have acquired. Yu Ziyuan took that tradition with her and implemented it on her children (she had offered to do the same with Wei Wuxian at the very beginning of his living with them, but he declined). (Jiang Cheng continues the tradition in YunmengJiang after the fire, himself having the most ink on him) [Credit of idea goes to @auberginesvrn on Twitter]

YunmengJiang likes to hold monthly swimming competitions (it happens all year round since the temperature rarely drops below 50 degrees Fahrenheit) and the winner of each one gets an “honorary” dot inked to add to their collection (should they want it, although most winners get one since that’s the main reason they join).

YunmenJiang's outfits are typically light purple and white for the summers so they don't absorb too much heat from the sun and are thinner in material, and during the winter they are a slightly darker purple (with white) and thicker material.

Zidian

Zidian is a sentient spiritual weapon and has a rare ability to give some of its own spiritual energy to its holder should it believe that they are worthy. 

There have been theories that if needed and the cultivator is deemed worthy enough, a strong spiritual weapon could take the place of a golden core. (But, there have been no successful attempts made—yet)

Zidian is able to take multiple different forms in order to fit its wielder to the best of its ability. For its previous “masters” (wielders) it took the forms of a lance, javelin (weirdly enough), a ceremonial dagger, and a gauntlet; all had the ability to conduct Zidian’s purple lightning through them.

Yu Ziyuan had a whip form, and Jiang Cheng is able to form either a whip or a bow and arrow should it be a desperate situation (the second form has only ever been needed once, and the people who were there never lived to tell the tale, so no one alive knows of his second form for Zidian)

(The bow and arrow form is a lot like Yoichi’s demon bow and arrow from ONS)

Zidian also has a special ability that is rarely shown (even to its holders); its ability to turn into a snake. Only one other holder was able to do it before Jiang Cheng, and it was the first one.

Jiang Cheng is the first to learn of Zidian’s soul-carrying ability since he was the only one to die and then come back to life (given that it was in his younger body, but whatever). This ability allows the holder to hear/see (depending on how powerful the user is) the souls that Zidian has taken the lives of (from the orders of the current holder).

Once a holder has access to this, they are able to hear Zidian talk to them.

Fun fact: Jiang Cheng is Zidian’s favorite of their holders!

Jiang Cheng

When he was younger, he used to have his hair down all of the time, but the older he got into his teenage years, the more he was teased by WY and was called “Meimei” (He was also one of the most attractive cultivators in LP (without him knowing, somehow???)), so he started to put it up into a ponytail. Then, it only got worse, so he started putting it in a bun, which is more intricate than in the donghua. People thought it made him look even prettier, but decided not to say anything about it for fear he would change it again. Jiang Cheng thought he succeeded in looking more “manly” (he was sorely mistaken lol). (Having his hair in a bun also makes it even more curly when he takes it down 🤭) (His hair is also the longest of the cast, Jin Ling is second with Wei Ying being a close third)

He has a small tattoo of a spider on the outside of his right pinky where it meets the bottom knuckle as a reference to his mother and her influence on him. 

When Jiang Cheng figures out he can turn Sandu into a tattoo, he chooses to make it appear on his back, with intricately woven vines and flowers growing around it—a reference to his family and home. (Refer to ‘Extra Headcanons’)

Jiang Cheng is actually quite proficient in his skills with a bow and arrow. He was good when Wei Ying was alive, and he was even more determined to get better when he died (it was a way for him to feel connected to his fallen brother, in a way, since it was one of the things that his mother used to constantly compare the two against each other)

His want to get even better also came from his resolution to be one of the main people to teach Jin Ling archery when he was old enough, given that it’s one of the things the Jins focus on the most (refer to ‘Jin Sect’).

Fun fact: one of Jiang Cheng's favorite snacks is cherries!

When Jiang Cheng started going after rogue Demonic Cultivators, a rumor started to spread, claiming that he was killing them off once he saw them after he returned back to his sect since no one would ever hear of the Demonic Cultivator again.

What really happened was Jiang Cheng would meet them and see if they could be reformed or not. If they could, he would offer them a job somewhere in his sect for the trade that they give up Demonic Cultivation and take some remedial classes that he gives. If not, he uses Zidian to kill them (that way when they die, the resentful energy that corrupted them is expelled and they are able to pass on to a better place instead of being grounded in the Burial Mounds).

Jiang Cheng has heard of the rumors that surround him, but he just never cared to dismiss them, saying that they gave him a more “ruthless” reputation and it helped him protect his sect better.

Jiang Cheng can hold his breath for up to ten minutes. It was found out at one of the swimming competitions and it ended up giving him the winning point. This also means that he has the record (beating Wei Ying).

At some point in time during the years that Wei Wuxian was dead, Jiang Cheng had a big mental breakdown—enough to spark Zidian. The lightning from the ring was strong, and for the first time in his life he could feel it hurt like a motherfucker. It felt like it went on for hours, but in reality it was only a couple seconds. Afterwards, Jiang Cheng couldn’t really feel his hand that much, and there were Lichtenberg scars covering it as proof of what had transpired. Zidian was still able to work, though.

Wei Ying

When he is resurrected into Mo Xuanyu’s body after 13 years of his death, he finds a butterfly permanently inked onto the boy’s body. At first, he thinks it was already there before the ritual, but he soon comes to find out that it was formed there after his soul took over the body, as it is a symbol of rebirth after death.

Wei Ying has actually attempted suicide multiple times, but Wen Ning kept stopping him before he could succeed (Wen Qing did as well, before she died, too).

Jiang Yanli

During the time both WY & JC were at the Cloud Recesses, Yanli actually took an apprenticeship with a cultivator who specialized in medicine and took a liking to it, her proficiency helping to give her a name in the area. Although, she didn’t get a lot of attention from it and eventually stopped practicing when WY came back from getting in trouble. The next time she ended up using her skills was during the Sunshot Campaign.

She had wanted to learn about using poison, too, but ultimately never got to.

First impression

i don't think he left a very strong impression on me. i found him somewhat scary because of kevin's reaction but on your first read you have no idea what to expect of him and what lengths he'll actually go to. the first time you meet him, aka kathy's show, feels like it's more neil's time to finally shine. however the way he talks to/about kevin has always been fascinating to me

Impression now

he's the worst. i love him and i miss him and if i think about him too much i start crying. i think he's a really good antagonist, but even beyond that he's just a very compelling character. he is very much a foil to neil and there's a reason he's the main antagonist of the books despite not being neil's final boss, if that makes sense?

he does have some depth even if we limit ourselves to the books. however there's a lot of info exclusive to the extra content that makes him, his relationships, his role in the story all the more interesting and it's a shame none of that is technically canon. also a shame we don't really get to see him from kevin's pov, since kevin grew up with him and knew him in ways nobody else did.

Favorite moment

it's one we don't even see, but when he calls kevin on christmas to tell him about neil's new tattoo. we know nothing about it but that's? insane? probably had to track down kevin's new phone number or smth? who knows what else they talked about? maybe he literally just said 'hey kev. i inked nathaniel.' then cut the call??? but whatever the case it probably messed kevin up for days? i know it's a Footnote in the entire story but i think about it all the time.

Idea for a story

i've been toying with the idea of writing smth about jean's time as kevin and riko's roommate. it was two years, there's potential for some really interesting and fucked up moments LOL. there's also the concept of fox!riko which i'm kind of obsessed with. it'd be really hard to write but probably very compelling, especially if it was from his pov.

Unpopular opinion

it's okay to like him. it's okay to want to analyze him from multiple angles. it's okay to talk about him sometimes even if you don't like him. it's okay to admit that he was important to other characters even if he did horrible things and even if you don't like him. most of all, it's okay to accept that some people like him and some people want to ship him with characters you like. i promise it's okay.

Favorite relationship

there's only one answer to this. kevriko of course. we only get hints and glimpses of it but there's so many layers of hate and love and obsession and codependency and friendship and ownership and aARHGHG i'm so mad we don't know what riko thought of kevin or what their life was like in the nest, especially pre-jean.

Favorite headcanon

there's two ideas i absolutely adore. 1. that he's younger than kevin - he already has an inferiority complex but this adds even more fucked up layers to their dynamic. it also makes his death all the more heartbreaking.

Wish there were more people like you who were open to exploring dynamics between two characters in an alternate universe where they are not bound by familial relationship/title or whatever it's called. I get it tsams/tlaes have a lot of family things going on and a-specs things but eh what do I expect from a fandom that started the hate on sunxmoon shippers? I'll continue shipping sunxmoon, eclipsexsun, solarxmoon and solarxearth(thanks to that one anon from before for introducing me to this) not as family related, and the fandom can suck it

On a side note, I know the VA for Earth, Aka: Kat has been very "ship and let ship" with the fandom. And I think that's why in the Solar therapy session, she clarified that she knows Solar isn't biologically related. Technically none of them are, she just wants to consider him part of the family.

I remember awhile back the fandom was so hostile to people who saw Lunar as an adult and would draw him in adult situations. (Like taxes/half joking you know what I mean)

And I believe that was the last big drama the actors like Davis was directly involved in before he took a step back from that and told the fandom to sort it out themselves. And I really don't blame him. There are people who are crazy and just feel entitled to things.

And in more recent episodes, Lunar has stated more frequently that he is an adult animatronic of sound mind who can make his own decisions, so that they can put that issue to bed with the discourse.

(I personally think that gen1/2 Lunar was very much a kid psychology and through the course of the course of the show, and due to his experiences and truama he grows up in two years and he's a young adult now. This reflects in every time he has a model change or appearance.)

See this is what I mean when I say they are robots. Robots can grow up from 13 to 24 (approximately) in the span of two years. Robots can change their mind about family dynamics and say "you know what I think that i don't feel like a cousin, as what I feel for Moon is more intense then familiar bonds. So I change my mind." And this is allowed. This is allowed. Like I would not think this way about human characters.

People in the transformers fandom are really familiar with this concept as well. At least the few people I talk to from an outsider perspective. The transformers robots change their relationships in canon to eachother all the time from what I hear.

And yes. I know tsams is focused on themes of family and found family and togetherness. Like I'm not media illiterate. I know what one of the themes are. For some reason, people think I don't know tsams is about family.

Like bruh.

This whole show took two years for them to build the family and support network they all have with eachother when before the show was a toxic family relationship with Sun and Moon only. And I think it's beautiful how it evolved and how many characters there are and how big the family is now!

And despite me being neurodivergent (AuDHD and other disorders), stuff with multiple tones will make it more confusing to base how you interpret your OG tone/wrap my head how you wanted your tone to come off so I can respond accordingly.

the bottom of dream's cape is supposed to emulate the sun haha

his outfit was inspired both by his current and his old one, which is why he has a big ol' cape!! I just love both, so...I incorporated both designs into one!

the stars on dream's jacket? trenchcoat? thing. I just thought it looked cool tbh LOL. I just wanted to incorporate more stars into dream's design specifically since dreams and stars kinda just go together.

the gold on swap sans outfit is supposed to mirror the gold on papyrus' design!

Swaps belt, as it stemmed from the crack idea that swap likes wrestling? Don't ask idk how I came up with it either. the initials on swap's belt is actually inspired from dream's belt!! I really like how it came out even if it's kinda like...from nowhere. given he doesn't like wrestling in my head he just thought it looked cool. haha

inks gap tooth, it just feels right!

I added more pinkish purple into dream's design!! just cause I wanted it to be in more than just one place.

Edit: One thing I forgot to mention cause its kinda hard to see!! I had this idea that because it looks like dream's unitard would be a struggle to get on or off he eventually got it tailored to have a zipper!! You just can't see it's tracks because its an invisible zipper. so he no longer struggles to take it on or off

Also i got to add all my ink headcanons as well!! similar to dreams i think ink would have a little bag of holding just for convenience lol. Also pretty colors for his scarf just because :3

Kaneki for the character ask? 👉👈

My first impression: the reason i got into tg as much as i did. before i watched i hadnt watched a whole series since i watched death note bc i couldn't find a main character that was as interesting to me as light...and then i found KANEKI

My impression now: i still love him, especially once i read the manga. similar to how i was w death note, i haven't been able to get through another series since tg bc i can't find another mc that interests me as much as kaneki or light. he's so cool and fucked up what a silly guy

Favorite thing about that character: i love when they're insane (pt 400049589208520). i also feel like aggravatingly similar to him sometimes so that's always fun. analyzing him is like analyzing myself

Least favorite thing: analyzing him is like analyzing myself. also anime kaneki is...not as badass as manga kaneki lets leave it at that...

Favorite line/scene: where do i even start...ig this is more of a haise moment but it's also a kaneki moment lowkey at the beginning of re when he's going against nishio and haise is like losing his shit and brain kaneki is whispering in his ear yeah that was so cool and sent chills down me idk. also when he broke half of ayato's bones what a sick lil dude i love it

Favorite interaction that character has with another: back to the beginning of re when haise kinda switches into the kaneki personality when he's going against nishio and he says "i don't think you want to know me" and does the finger crack ooooh lemme tell you i was kicking my feet in bed at 4am watching that bc first i was like ohh its kaneki (as we know the anime doesn't explain shit) and then i was like if i was nishio i would run away bc that was so scary ooooh i love it

A character that I wish that character would interact with more: i think we needed more kaneki and hide interactions like i know we got a decent amount but like. there should have been more.

Another character from another fandom that reminds me of that character: im so bad at this ummm mello from death note bc the world beats them down and tells them theyre not good enough throughout their childhoods, so they grow up with this idea that they're always inferior and it eventually turns into rage but also a deep incurable loneliness. and if you go with the theory that kaneki actually died and was not saved by ayato at the end of the series (which i enjoy bc i love pain and suffering), then they both die alone unable to protect those they care for or fulfill what they think they're life's purpose is okay im gonna go cry now

A headcanon about that character: he definitely wrote fanfiction in middle school are we kidding

Ig for those curious, here are the weapons I think each dbz character ive drawn currently would use in the splatoon au thing I drew

Goku-

Krak on splat roller/splattershot (mainly rollers) He went through using alot of weapons before deciding on the krak on roller. He used to be very indecisive on what he wanted to use.

Vegeta-

Splat dualies (or any dualies in general, prefers using the enperry dualies) he likes being really aggressive, and using dualies help him achieve that. Depending on what he feels like doing, he will use different dualies. He hardly ever uses the dualie squelchers though.

Krillin-

Doesn't participate in turf wars as often anymore, but he often uses Luna blaster. He often did matches with goku as a duo, and would pick a weapon that would be good support for goku's. He also occasionally uses nzap. Plays more salmon run.

Chichi- also doesn't participate very much, but she was a good splatana wiper player. Plays any splatana. She used to be a competitive player, though played less and less after marrying goku. She still plays turf wars occasionally, more often when goku, or her children do.

Yamcha- local tentabrella user, 5 starred v tentabrella though is still figuring out how exactly to use it. He often changes weapons now bc he wants to find a cooler weapon to main.

Bulma- Ink brush player, prefers nouveau over v ink brush. She occasionally uses other brushes and took interest in learning splatanas.

Gohan- Heavy splating deco user. He sometimes plays rollers, but loves using splatlings alot more. Will play any he feels like, but the heavy deco is his favorite.

Trunks- 52 gal user. He uses any of the gal weapons, but occasionally uses dapple dualies if he feels like it.

Goten- splat roller user. He uses any rollers, but also is pretty good with squiffer. His goal is often to be as irritating as possible.

Tien- Splat charger user. He uses any charger, but prefers the regular splat charger.

Bardock- carbon roller deco user. His play style and quick and aggressive, and he often goes for front line weapons when he feels like doing something different. Often plays ranked/anarchy.

Gine- Undercover brella user. She often swaps between v undercover and undercover sorella brella. She'll use any other brella if she feels like it, and also occasionally uses e-liter. She also often plays ranked/anarchy.

King vegeta- Splat dualies user. He'll use any dualies, but prefers v splat dualies.

Raditz- Dynamo roller user. I just think this weapon would fit him. He's fond of heavy hitting weapons, though is still learning how to use them properly. Often swaps between the dynamos.

Turles- octobrush user. He's also grown pretty fond of using the painbrushes, often swapping between them. He's one of those toxic players that taunt after every kill and just mess with people in general. He's also a sore loser. Don't be like him kids

Frieza doesn't play in turf wars. If he DID though he'd use splatana stamper.

Broly(dbs) - heavy splatling user. He'll use any splatling, but heavy is the one he loves using the most. He's still new to turf wars, often playing anarchy with goku and vegeta as they show him the ropes.

Paragus- dualie squelchers user. He found teaching Broly to be frustrating. He was good at fighting and was strong, but he never really took to using the dualies like he had hoped. Man really wanted his son to like his main weapon

Mostly based off of my own headcanons n all that, there'll be more as I think of them but this post is already long enough. If you have questions about the au, feel free to ask!

Idk about the story yet, it's not gonna be 100% a reflection of dbz canon, cause all of it cannot be replicated into splatoon, not every aspect of dbz or dbs will be incorporated either, that'd be alot lmao

I know nothing about this Eclipse Born au and now I am very curious 👀

Ahem. Time to start rambling.

So the Eclipse Born AU is supposed to be a multi-seasonal AU (about 8 or 9, I can never remember the actual number) with a few oneshots sprinkled in between certain seasons to transition between them or just give out more lore. A couple of these seasons are kind of filler, but still have small important plot points within them. The series is seperated into two main arcs, with the first 4 to 5 seasons involving finding out what an Eclipse Born is and which of the ninja (one of the original six, the new ones are too young to be it) is the Eclipse Born, and then the Seasons after are basically the aftermath.

It involves pretty much all of my OCs, including Jes, Derek, Kiera, Kaito the elemental killer, Mal 'Eec. Plus some actual minifigures that come to actual Ninjago sets like Cece and Kaito (the human) that I just gave some story to.

I don't know when the actual start of the AU will be, because I have not wrote it yet. And whenever I start writing it depends on the most recent Ninjago season that will have come out at that point. If I start writing it soon, it will just be the series prologue and "Memories of a Moonlit Sea (That I Used To Be)".

Also, I do want to note that when I do start writing it, there will be quite a few content warnings, specifically involving graphic violence.

And a big thing of the AU is that it fucks up a lot of canon lore. And it's deliberately in a way so that the ninja (the main characters) think all the canon lore is true, when in fact parts are not.

Like the fact that in my AU there is a third continent up in the Northern hemisphere that was not created by the FSM. In the present day, since there are obviously going to be satellites, seeing as how people were able to go to space in Season 3, the explanation for the continent being hidden is that people on that continent somehow hack the satellites so that Ninjagan satellites can't see them or watch their TV. But the citizens of this continent know a lot about Ninjago, both from ancient and present history. I also want to note that this is not supposed to say that in our world, there is an extra continent. NO. We are not doing conspiracy theories here. I just thought it'd be easier and more interesting for the plot to have another continent available to explain things. (The continent is named Aquaria, after Aquariume (which I headcanon as Zane's power source, and also need a whole other post going over it because it's both a crystal and an elemental power), originally called Atlantis, due to being the continent that was submerged long before Time had a name when Wojira started attacking all those years ago)

Or all the Oni and Dragon anatomy shit. And Oni lore, especially involving Resurrected Oni, Brood Oni (Season 10 Oni), and the type of Oni that Jes and Lloyd are. (some of which isn't really scientifically possible and is noted that it shouldn't (mainly involving the actual genetics, because that shit does not follow 5th grade genetics rules), but is also played off as "because why the fuck not"). Plus a lot of Dragon and Oni hybrid lore as well.

Or like the fact that there are things unknown about elemental powers. Such as the origin of powers like Tech, Ink, whatever the fuck Zeatrix's is, and Heat (which may change depending on how DR actually explains their power origins). Or the two still in the realm but not in the Ninjago continent (Death and Dark Lightning). Ooooorrrr the Dead Elements (which I also need to make a whole other post on)

Or, (not curtailing to certain elements anymore) the existence of Elemental Beings, which are basically elementals who instead of holding all the powers of an element, hold one or two. They can hold multiple elements (which Elemental Masters can technically as well, but not as Master powers).

Or what happens to an Elemental Master's power after they have kids. Because the power is still there. The Master just has to relearn how to use their powers.

Aaaannnd then there's the reason why the lore's fucked up. Mainly involving Hazza'Dur. Who was an Eclipse Born. Like his little brother by seven years, Mal 'Eec.

In the AU, Eclipse Borns are two elementals born seven years apart, during a time period between the Two Twin Eclipses. These eclipses are more than seven years apart from each other. But the two children have the same exact power as each other. This is different from elemental beings, because elemental being siblings don't regularly have similar powers. And even if they are similar, they are not exactly the same. But Eclipse Born Elemental Masters are even rarer than Eclipse Born Elemental Beings. And even more powerful.

But Hazza'Dur kills his little brother and takes his power, becoming very powerful. I am not going to go too much into that right now, because that in itself (like everything else) is a long ass tangent and this post is already pretty long. But his rise to power and the aftermath of his death involve a lot of things, including Shintaro lore.

I got a bit derailed (since there's a ton of shit), but despite all the ancient Ninjago lore in the series, the AU takes part during present day, after the Merge. And a lot of fucked up shit happens. Especially after the "Un-Merge" happens. Because things start to get really shitty in Ninjago. And Aquaria. Though they were already fucked up in Aquaria.
