Tis The Season - Day 4 @kit-just-kit
The holiday season bought new life to the mailrooms across London's venerable medical and psychiatric institutions and the Maudsley - dear Ron's begrudgingly occasional haunt - was no different. It wasn't for Ron though that mail had come, it was from Ron. He was beyond the walls now, thank Heavens - his brief stay over with since he'd been given as clean a bill of mental health and wellbeing as he was ever to receive given how his brain worked now.
Two items were kindly left on Dr Prince's desk.
The first was this card enclosed in a thick paper envelope. Dog-safe-ink paw prints dotted its entirety, and it's message read:
With grateful thanks For all your good works I am home now, and hope you will be soon. You will be in my thoughts this Christmas. Ron.
And the second was a winter bouquet. It was because of the work Dr Prince and others like her did that chaps and lasses like Ron could be home once their trials had eased and their minds settled. It would've been beyond the man, settled comfy in his Cedra Court flat with his dog pack, not to at least reach out to she he remembered most clearly with a grateful gesture.
