Trying to fix my resume ☝️🤓 Small problem: I sound like a loser no matter what
#not really lol. I have a lot of experience in this field#for someone my age anyway#but like. idk 😭 I wanna get out of journalism I HATE journalism#I’m applying for publishing internships and idk I just wish I had more publishing experience….#a lot of my extracurriculars are music related and idk if I should include them or not#just to fill space ig#bc I have only ever had one singular job#and one other piece of experience as editor in chief#idk maybe I just feel this way bc I’m using Harvard resume templates#and so I’m seeing everything that’s on a Harvard student’s resume 😭 like damn. I hope they’re not applying for this internship..#it’s based in NYC so I doubt I’ll get it? but like? idk how many applicants they get??? hm#there are also lots of different internships with the same company all listed rn so idk#I have until the end of the month to fix this shit hehahah#hopefully my cover letter will better demonstrate my relevance to this position#bc all of my journalism experience feels kinda irrelevant on paper. editing news is VERY different from editing communications research lol#ellyposting#🤓posting#<- kinda. it’s about work not school but I did start doing this (researching internships) for a class#and now I’m kinda invested bc I need an internship in the next year anyway… I could get it over with over the summer#idk. if I get a job this summer I will make a job tag like. jobposting. workposting. perhaps hellposting if it sucks really bad (again 🥲)#that’s why I’m scared of another internship. even though the last one was paid and so is this one… people are straight up abusive to interns#😅😅😅😅😅 AUGH. SCREAMS PUNCHES WALL etc#okay goodnight :3c

Where did you do your masters? I want to be a research assistant but kinda lost currently :( can you give me some tips
Hi! I don't have a graduate degree yet--currently in the hellish process of applying for them :'). I began working as a research assistant in the second year of my undergraduate studies (which, tbh, is too early) because I thought it sensible to do one of my internships under a professor whose expertise matches with the sub-sub-sub area I want to pursue in grad school. I had taken two classes from him before I applied (so he knew me & my work quite well by that point), and he was already planning to spend the summer finalizing his monograph, so he did not object to having another set of eyes working on it. I began working as an intern, and after the internship period came to an end, we both found it fruitful to continue & turn it into an actual RA position.
That's essentially how I started working as an RA. Obviously, mine is a bit of an exceptional case considering I'm not in grad school, but I'd be happy to further talk about the process & see if I can give any useful advice if you reach out to me via messages! My one big suggestion without knowing you would be to reach out to profs/assistant profs you've taken classes from before to see if they might be interested in having an RA, or to academic libraries/archives for internships/volunteering positions, which might help if any opportunities arise in that direction. Good luck with everything!

hey how did you get into studying bio?
i'm asking cause i'm looking at potentially going into a biology adjacent field and i was wondering how you got into bio in the first place and why
My disclaimer on stuff like this is PLEASE do not treat me as an authority, I'm one grad student and not even a particularly significant one at that. I'm one experience of many.
So first off, the why: I've always enjoyed nature, and loved animals, so there was never really a moment in my life that I wasn't going to do something like that. I originally entered college as an ecology major, and did volunteering related to that, but I soon realized several things about ecology I didn't like while simultaneously gaining a keen interest in lab biology. An interest in animals and nature just kinda made me ask more questions about how things worked on a more and more fundamental level, until I realized I was more interested in genetics than I was about food webs.
Second off, the how: my career/education has had a pretty standard outline, at least for the US, with a couple of small notes. Got a bachelor's at a local state college, stuck around that same college to wait out two years of my life while the world was fucked (wooo undergrad class of 2020), and now I'm doing my PhD after that.
There are two notes I would give:
1, start undergrad research early. Your mentors, advisors, hell pretty much anyone in the older generation or even a slightly different field may tell you to either pursue internships or not to worry about research too much. They're wrong. Standards have generally increased, especially for grad school applications, and undergraduate research experiences counts in industry as well. Yes, it's completely fucked, because its a system that exploits free labor, but that could be a post of its own that I will probably make at some point.
2, my master's degree was technically unnecessary, but practically very necessary to get into my PhD program. It's hard to say whether this was just my admittance year, because it seems like everyone had a similar idea to me (get more experience through either a MS or industry in a safer, more known environment before uprooting your life for a PhD), so my PhD cohort has a relatively high proportion of people already with master's degrees. Its hard to say whether this is a phenomena isolated to my admit year, or whether this reflects the trend of increased admission standards over time (which, even aside from this, has been noted by many). If this is the route you wanna take, you'll have to evaluate what kind of degrees you want when you get there.
Any time I talk about career trajectories, I also include this little note: remember that there are two PhD systems in the world. The one I'm talking about is used in the Americas and East Asia from what I know. In this system, PhDs only require a bachelor's degree for admittance, but take 5-7 years. Usually, there's a midway point where you can "master out" and quit with a MS. So for me, already having a MS wasn't strictly necessary.
There's another system used by most of Europe, Oceania, and other places that I couldn't rattle off that's somewhat different. Here, PhDs only take 3-5 ish years, but they usually require that you already have a MS or additional technical certifications for admittance.
Both are essentially equivalent, I just include a little note about it when I talk about my MS. When I say it's unnecessary it sometimes confuses people who are mostly familiar with the second system.
I'm open to questions about this but again, remember I'm just one perspective, not an authority.

Okay hi some irl stuff below
I've been lurking for a little while while I get my head screwed back on straight. It has been a WEEK.
So on Easter, I was driving across the state heading back to school when my truck started shaking, making a horrible racket and the check engine light came on. Now, it's an old truck ('03 ford ranger), so it's not the first time this has happened. I managed to limp it to a local auto shop that was open, they read the codes, and spat back error in the cylinder. At first, I believed it to be a simple fix, likely the coil pack or the spark plugs I replaced last summer failed, no biggie.
Unfortunately, it was catastrophic engine failure. The truck's totaled.
Which is too bad, because that truck has been closer than some of my family these past 6 years. I've personally rebuilt a lot of it - it's what got me interested in working on cars. It's taken me across the state, into other states, through 2 years of high school, 4 years of undergrad, and a year of grad school. With 250k miles on it, I wish I could say I was surprised, but she was a good old beast. There's potential for fixing it, but it depends on how much time, energy and money I want to put into doing a total 1-1 motor swap on it. Not the point, but it's a potential.
That then snowballed into a dozen of other bad days. I was borrowing a car for the time being ( again, being 300 miles away from any family or loved ones, I needed a car ), that then was towed because I didn't have a parking pass on it for one night. I had a lamp crash down on my head and shatter glass everywhere. I have exams, and final projects, and patient discharge reports. Pretty much everything that could have gone wrong this past week, did.
The good new is, life is starting to finally stable out. My exams are next week, then I have a week off before the summer semester starts. I landed my fall internship. My research projects are starting to take off. And I'm about to make it through my first year of grad school!!!
Anyway, my point of writing this is to kinda screw my head back on straight, and provide little updates about where I've been. Ultimately, I'm safe, my loved ones are safe, and I had to say goodbye to a good, good car. It seems silly to be emotional over a car, but I am, and it's been a weird mourning process. Giving myself lots of grace lately. I may consider doing writing commissions to help pay for towing/auto shops/literally everything else, so keep an eye out for that.
Love you all. Take care of yourself. I'll be around a little bit here and on discord, come chat with me about your muse and your day.
#Nothing major just trying to duct tape my head back together#but ultimately everyone is safe and healthy (except Betsy but I'm not that surprised#she was a 20 year old pickup that I used as a daily)#still sad but yknow#( ooc. )#ask to tag

Can't Ignore This
Steo | Stiles x Theo
check tags
"... I'm a fan of ignoring a problem until eventually it goes away."
But this certain problem of Stiles doesn't seem to go away no matter how hard he ignores it.
And this problem of his is named Theo.
Theo fucking gorgeous Raeken. Who now sits beside him in his FBI internship.
"How the hell did you get in here, Theo???" Stiles was trying real hard not to completely go bonkers in class.
"Internship, Stiles." Theo showed him his ID.
"W-What?!? No way, that's fake. Where'd you even get that? You're lying to me. Tell me what evil plan you're up to." Stiles bombarded him with questions.
"It's legit, Stiles. Braeden got it for me. I never lie to you. I'm here for you. To win you over. Make you mine." And Theo answered all the questions. Never forgetting anything.
Stiles has his mouth open and immediately dialled Braeden.
"Hey, Stiles."
"Braeden, hey! How are you? Real quick, why is Theo here with me? In my fuckin FBI internship?!? with a legit ID?!?"
"Well..." Braeden explained in between gunshots in the background. Turned out she was recruited by the FBI before but she likes to work independent. She has a slot reserved for her there. Theo made it the payment for the last big bounty he helped her with. "He's really into you, Stiles. So, if that's all, I'm kinda busy here." Some big explosion was heard from the distance in the phone call. "I gotta go, kid!"
Theo tilted his head a little and smirked at Stiles as the call ended. Stiles and Theo just stared at each other, no one giving out until the instructor walked in.
Stiles sat there, looking at the presentation infront but his mind is racing miles per minute. He thought he had left his Theo problem back in Beacon Hills. The chimera was never subtle about declaring his desire for him from the start. Openly courting him. Asking him out. Flat out flirting with him.
He took a glance at Theo and saw his other classmates, boys and girls, checking Theo out. 'Oh great! Just great!' Stiles thought and cursed, asking are they back in highschool or something. Even the instructor seemed overly fond of Theo. Though, Stiles admits, the answer Theo gave to the -what would your plan be in this situation- question was really good and feasible.
"Are you gonna follow me everywhere?" Stiles said as he sat on the table with his lunch tray.
"Yes." Theo sat with him with his own lunch tray.
Stiles just heaved and decided to ignore Theo. Telling himself he's alone on the table, eating lunch, peacefully. "By the way, your dad asked me to give you this." Theo slid over a notebook.
"Wait, my dad?!? Why is my dad even talking to you?!?" Stiles felt like calling his dad up right now.
"I help him and Parrish sometimes. Supernatural stuffs."
"You?!? Why not Liam? The Puppy Pack? What did you do to Liam and the Puppy Pack??? Are they dead? Ohmygod!"
Theo just chuckled "No! They're not dead. Your dad said he doesn't wanna ask Liam because of school."
Stiles took the notebook and saw that it was his first notes way back when Scott got bit. His first researches are in there. He remembered he did ask his dad to send it over. But not to send it over with Theo.
"You're welcome." Theo jabbed. Stiles just shrugged as he shoved the notebook in his bag. Theo kept following Stiles around. They have the same classes after all. Sits beside Stiles in all of them. Even making the other student transfer seats so he could sit beside Stiles.
"Oh. Agh!" Stiles groaned, giving out an irritated chemo signal. This guy, this other guy, has been pestering him. Always being touchy with him. Flirty, even. And that guy stood beside him right now.
Theo sensed his irritation towards the guy and saw the guy leaned forward to Stiles a little too close. Theo's wolf and coyote were pissed. "Hey, there." Theo peeked from Stiles left side.
"Oh, hey! You must be the new guy."
"Yeah." Theo reached for Stiles's knee. "I'm the new guy."
"Oh... uhm, you two-are you-oh! Okay. Got it." The other guy stopped, thinking that's why Stiles never really leaned into his advances.
'Well, that's one good Theo use.' Stiles thought as he felt relieved. He never liked that guy, ever. 'Now, back to the other problem guy.' Stiles looked back at Theo, then at his hand on his knee, then back at Theo. But the chimera never took his hand off. Stiles bounced his leg to get Theo's hand off. Still, Theo never took it off his knee even if the instructor walked in.
The classroom was setup differently here. The tables were long like in highschool lab class. The table caters to 2 students. So Stiles and Theo have the table to themselves. And they were in the back row. The class went on with Theo's hand on Stiles's knee. Stiles tried holding Theo's hand to take it off there but Theo would just place it back. Slowly gliding it upwards to his thigh.
'Oh-Okay, what the fuc-!!!' Theo's touch was dangerously high up his inner thighs now. "Theo. Stop." Stiles whispered to himself, knowing Theo would hear it. But Theo never stopped. He kept going higher, the side of his hand and pinky brushing against Stiles's crotch now. Stiles caught Theo's wrist and pushed the hand away from his crotch. "Theo, please. I'm serious about this internship. The last thing I want is to get kicked out because of getting a handjob from you during class."
Theo looked at him for a while, Stiles was blushing. Theo finally let go. Letting him focus on class. Smiling on the fact that Stiles even thought of a handjob from him. However little chance there is, the fact remains that Stiles thinks of doing things like that with him.
Theo never did something like that during classes from then on. He knows the internship means a lot to Stiles. And Stiles was grateful for that.
The weeks went on with both of them serious about the classes. Theo was enjoying it and decided to get serious. He's liking the job he'd be having and it would allow him to get close to Stiles too. Win-win situation. Now, if only he could get Stiles, claim him, and mate him. He took the classes seriously and also kept at courting Stiles.
They got invited to a party one Friday night. They did quite well on that group case project so they decided to go and celebrate. By now, Stiles is pretty close and comfortable with Theo. With the chimera always around him, all the time, every day. Hanging out and studying. Even eating out together sometimes. Stiles trying to deny it as dates even though they actually are dates.
Theo had taken him to multiple dates by now. Study dates, cafe dates, dinner dates, movie dates, beach dates -yup, beach.
Then Stiles remembered he was weird back then because he got really irritated and angry when there was one guy who kept hitting on Theo when he was at the bar getting their drinks.
Nope, Stiles wasn't jealous or possessive. He just doesn't want other dudes hitting on Theo. Other dudes touching Theo. Other dudes looking at Theo. And he doesn't want Theo looking at other dudes. Okay, that is pretty much what possessive and jealous are.
Now, they were in this club, with music and booze. So many people, so many bodies, dancing, gyrating against each other. Making Stiles heady and horny. Besides, he couldn't really remember when was his last lay. He was so caught up in the internship that he just gives it to himself sometimes. Going out for a one night stand seemed too much work.
Then he caught sight of Theo on the dance floor, dancing with some girl and some guy. The chimera was grinding with those two but his eyes were locked to his. Stiles looked away and gulped his drink down. 'Shit! Can he sense I'm horny from here?' Stiles glanced back at Theo again, who was still gazing at him with a dark glint in his eyes and a not so subtle licking of his lips. 'Yup! He could sense it. Fucking werewolves!'
Fucking werewolves -the phrase was equal to a cuss word at that time, but slowly became a verb as Stiles pushed and pulled and clawed and gripped at Theo who was latched on his neck, fumbling in the hallway of his apartment.
"Hn! Aren't you gonna open your door, Stiles?" Theo asked in between kisses and sucks on Stiles's neck. He has Stiles between him and the door.
"You open it." Stiles said in between panting, he has his hand tangled in Theo's hair. His other hand gripped on Theo's shirt. His head tipped to the side as he enjoys every kiss and suck Theo was doing on his neck. He whispered his passcode to Theo, who pressed it and opened the door to his apartment unit.
That night, Stiles, had a self discovery. That he likes being shoved back against the wall, picked up, and fucked against it. That he also likes the butterfly position and the cowboy too. That he makes very lewd noises which he didn't really realized he could make. That Theo can pull out 3 orgasms from him. That he likes looking at Theo while getting wrecked by him. That he likes how Theo sounds like while he fucks, and when he cums. That he gets more turned on when Theo dirty talks. And that he kinda likes the pet name: baby. Only and only if it was Theo saying it.
Stiles always dreamed of having a unique pet name with his future girl or boyfriend. He wanted something different from the others, so baby really wasn't the first choice. But when it was Theo saying it, it sounded so good, so right, so sexy and hot. "Stiles, baby." Theo would say after "Oh you feels so good." and just right before Theo cums and knots in him. He found himself saying it back to his "Theo, babe, baby." quite a lot of times then.
'Well, that was... awesome.' Stiles stared at Theo's face asleep beside him. 'I guess this makes us official then. The sex and the pet name.' Then Stiles imagined the future with Theo.
He imagined, he'd be doing the guy in the chair, in command, barking orders, hatching plans. And Theo would be on the field doing the 007 thing. Then he snickered a little bit, making Theo wake up.
"Stiles, what's the matter."
"Nothing, just thinking of the future. With you."
"Aww, baby." Theo captured him into a kiss.

In Case You Don’t Live Forever
~sixth chapter rewritten~
Pairing: Peter Parker x Venom!reader
Synopsis: you are Peters greatest love and Spider-Man’s greatest enemy
Series Masterlist
Two months later, you sat outside The Daily Bugle and impatiently bounced your leg. While waiting to see if your boss liked your first draft of the Cleatus Kassidy article, you reflected on your past two months in New York.
It was now June. You and Venom had fallen into a routine. You’d work on the Cletus article by day and go patrolling at night. Of course, being Venom wasn’t a nightly occurrence. You’d only go out eating once or twice a week. Still, you managed to have 11 run ins with Spider-Man.
You and Peter had become significantly closer in that past two months as well. You’d help him with his homework, though you secretly thought he was smarter than you, and he helped me with your story. Some nights, he’d visit you on your fire escape and watch the sun go down. You had no idea how he got there, but you didn’t care.
You’d send him science puns while he was at school and he’d bring you food and keep you company when You had writers block. Your favorite was the long talks on the roof. You would sit there for hours and tell each other everything. You knew all his secrets and he knew yours.
Well, not all.
But the best part of all was that every now and then, you’d catch the other staring. Then, the other would stare back until someone, usually Peter, started to lean in. Every time you thought you were finally going to take the next step, something would interrupt you. Whether it was May knocking or Ned barging in or Peters phone ringing. That was another thing about Peter. His damn phone was always ringing and then he’d have to dash off somewhere, leaving you with a random excuse or something about an internship. Sometimes, you’d wish he’d just throw his phone aside and kiss you already.
“Great work so far, L/n.” Your boss tore you away from your thoughts. “I knew you’d be right for the job.”
“Thank you, Mr. Jameson.” You stammered as you stood up. “I really appreciate you giving me this job. I was kinda blackballed back in San Francisco.”
“I know.” He shrugged. “But you ask the hard hitting questions that people want to hear. Once this article is out, I want you to write one on Venom.”
“Venom?” You gulped at her name.
“Yeah.” He nodded. “You know that scary black monster that’s been fighting Spiderman? I’m thinking an exposé on that menace webhead and his latest enemy, and I think you’d be perfect for the job.”
“I would love to.” You said quickly. “I’ll start researching right away.”
With that, you turned on your heel and left the building before Venom caused a scene.
“Monster?” Venom roared once you got in your car. “Scary?”
“I know.” You whined. “I’m sorry. I didn’t know he was gonna call you that.”
“His whole job is reading about the most dangerous criminals in New York. If he thinks we’re scary, what’s Peter gonna think?” Venom asked. You laughed in dismissal until you thought about what he said.
What would Peter think? What if you told Peter who you really were and he ran away? He was sweet and understanding, but how understanding could he possibly be when you tell him you can turn into a flesh eating monster?
That’s when you realized you were scared. You were scared of letting Peter in and him letting himself right out. You were scared of repeating the mistakes you made with Andy. No, not scared.
Petrified.
What if Peter didn’t like what he saw? What if he realized you were too messy to be with? Or had too much baggage? Peter deserved a nice girl. One with a normal family and friends. One without depression. One without a flesh eating symbiote attached to their immune system.
“What’s wrong baby?” Venom asked with concern. She cuddled around your neck and nuzzled into your cheek.
“I can never be with Peter.” You whispered, mostly to yourself. Hot tears of frustration filled your eyes so you looked up to keep them from falling. Admitting it felt like a fatal blow to the stomach. Venom tied your hair up with one of her arms and wiped the tears from your face.
“Why do you say that?”
You thought about it for a moment before answering. You didn’t want to tell Venom that you were feeling insecure. She freaked out on you whenever you said something negative about yourself. You didn’t wanna another 100 slide PowerPoint titled “why Y/N L/N is the baddest bitch in the galaxy”. Especially since forty of those slides were just pictures of your butt. You appreciated Venom wanting to help but you were feeling the kind of insecure that a pep talk couldn’t fix. You needed to figure it out on your own. So instead, you told her a different fear you had.
“Because. Look at us. We’re the only thing keeping each other alive.” You reasoned. “What if we get separated and die? I can’t become one of those people in Peters life who loved him and then left him. His mom, his dad, his Uncle Ben. I don’t want to die and leave Peter behind. He’s been through enough. He’d be so much better off without me.”
“We’re not gonna die. You protect me and I protect you. Nothing will hurt us as long as we have each other.” Venom assured you.
“I can’t protect you like you protect me.” You said softly. “I’m just a human. What if something happens to me and you die because of it?”
“Nothing will happen to you, Y/N. I promise. I won’t let it.” Venom swore. You looked at her and gave her a sad smile.
“I won’t let anything happen to you either.” You said, but you didn’t promise it. You knew you couldn’t promise it.
“And you can be with Peter.” Venom insisted. “On Klyntar, we mate for life. And we think you’ve found your mate in Peter.”
“What does that mean?” You wondered.
“It means we’ve become attached to him and will never be happy with anyone else.” Venom said. You let out a shaky breath as that wasn’t what you wanted to hear. You needed a reason to shut your feelings for Peter down.
“Like soulmates?” You asked.
“Exactly like soulmates.” Venom answered.
“Well what happens on Klyntar if someone is your soulmate but you’re not theirs?”
“Then we go into a cave and mourn until we die alone of heartbreak.” Venom said simply.
“That sounds about right.” You laughed sadly as you took a second to think.
“I’m gonna call that guy back.” You said suddenly.
“What guy?” She asked.
“They guy who asked me out at the coffee shop this morning.” You reminded her.
“The one with the stupid hair? Why would you call him?” Venom asked angrily.
“What was wrong with his hair?” You laughed.
“It was blonde. We like brunette.” Venom said with a devilish grin.
“His hair was fine.” You rolled your eyes. “And I’m gonna call him to say yes to the date.”
“Why would we do that when we like Peter?” Venom whined.
“Because if Peter doesn’t like us, I don’t want to die of heartbreak alone in a cave.” You admitted.
“He does love you.” Venom protested.
“We don’t know that.” You shook your head. “It’s just one date. I need to get back out there anyway. I haven’t gone on a date Andy and I broke up.”
“Fine.” Venom grumbled. “But this is a terrible idea and I’m going to complain the whole time and sing the Les Mis soundtrack in your head.” This was one of those moments where she felt more like your toddler than your symbiote.
You gave the guy a call before driving back to your apartment. As fate would have it, you ran into Peter in the hallway on your way to your room.
“Hey Y/n!” Peter greeted you. “You want to come over later and help me with spanish? I’ll amo you mucho.”
You wanted so badly to say yes but you had to stick to the plan to squash your feelings for Peter.
“Aw, I’m sorry Pete. I wish I could but I have a date tonight.” You frowned, instantly regretting it when you saw the look on his face.
Peter’s heart sank to the floor as he emotions went from feeling devastated to feeling white hot anger in a matter of seconds
“A date?” He sputtered. “With who?”
“Some boy I met at the coffee shop.” You said weakly, knowing you were hurting him.
“Oh.” He said dully.
“Some boy.” He thought angrily. “Some freaking dirty ass sissy coffee boy asked my girl out.”
Peter felt like hunting the man down and smacking the shit out of him. Or at the very least, webbing him to a wall leaving him there until he missed the date.
“What’s his name?” Peter asked suddenly, wanting to put a name to his new mortal enemy.
“Matt.” You nodded slowly.
“Freaking Matt.” Peter thought. “Freaking dirty ass bitch ass Matt. Was Matt Spider-Man? No. Could Matt treat you as well as I could? Probably. But did he like you as much? No. Did he have inside jokes with you? No. Could he make you laugh your beautiful laugh just by doing a Captain America impression? No. He wasn’t good enough for you. He couldn’t do the things I could do. He was trash. He was a trashy dirty ass rat boy.”
“Interesting.” Peter said, keeping his thoughts to himself.
“I’ll text you when it’s over and maybe I can help you then.” You offered. That sound okay, guapo?”
Peter nodded sadly, not even acknowledging that you called him handsome. Actually, he probably had no idea that you did. He was smart, but only in English.
“That’s fine.” He nodded glumly. “I’ll see you later.”
You watched Peter trudge into his apartment and felt a pain in your heart. He seemed so upset all the sudden. It couldn’t be from your date, could it? It’s not like you told him you got engaged or something. It was one little date. And it’s not like Peter even made a move. He had no reason to be upset. You brushed it off and went into your apartment to get ready.
Just as Venom predicted, the date went horribly wrong. You drove back to the apartment in silence afterwards, leaving Matt to clean himself off back at the restaurant.
“Why did that happen?” You asked her after a long drive in silence. You were mortified from the events of the night but you needed to know why they happened.
“Because he wasn’t your soulmate.” Venom said simply.
“We defiled that boy.”
“It happens.” Venom stated.
“It shouldn’t.” You said, shocked at how nonchalantly she was being.
“But it does.”
You rode the rest of the way in silence, shooting Peter a text before asleep on your couch. You woke up a few hours later in a cold sweat and in tears. You didn’t know it, but Peter was listening to your breathing from his apartment. He had picked up the small cries of his name in your sleep with his superhearing and stayed up to see if you were okay.
You weren’t, by the way. You had had a nightmare that shook you deeply and left you shaking. It was about Peter, but not in a good way. In this dream, he laid injured on the ground after a fight. You were separated from Venom and bleeding out near Peter. You couldn’t do anything to save him. You couldn’t scream for help. And worse, you couldn’t protect him. It caused you great agony to not be able to reach him.
Without giving it another thought, you got off your couch and made your way to the door. You needed to see Peter and tell him how you felt.
You didn’t care about your insecurities anymore. You didn’t care about all the things keeping you apart. You only cared about him, and that was enough. He needed to know that and you couldn’t wait another second.
You swung open your front door, only to find Peter Parker outside it in pink Hello Kitty pajama bottoms and a tight white t-shirt. His hand was raised, like he was about to knock.
“Hey.” you breathed. His hair was tousled and sticking up in random places. He looked heavenly.
“Hi.” He said shyly.
“I was just about to go to your door. I had a bad dream.” You told him. You were anxious to skip the semantics and cut right to the chase.
The chase being, “I love you and I’m yours if you’ll have me.”
“Yeah, I heard. That’s why I’m here.” Peter explained. That’s not what he wanted to say. What he wanted to say was, “I’m always here if you need me. I’d go to the ends of the earth for you. I love you. It’ll be okay.”
Peter looked at you funny for a moment, like he was seeing something beneath the surface.
“She looks so beautiful.” He thought. Makeup free, hair a little messy, and nothing but an oversized sweatshirt to cover you. Peter recognized the sweatshirt as his own, one you had swiped from his laundry basket because you had been freezing while watching Alien in his room. He felt so honored to know that you slept in it. Peter wondered how many times he could fall in love with you in a short span of time. In the past few seconds, he’d fallen about 15 times. Once for every breath you took. And you were breathing quite heavily.
“You heard?” You asked, wondering how he
had possible heard from his apartment.
“My hearing is excellent.” He said quickly. “Are you alright?”
“Please be alright.” He thought. “I’d stop anything that tried to hurt you. I’ll protect you from the storm. Don’t shut me out. Don’t turn me away. Let me love you.”
“Um…” You trailed off and looked behind you at your empty apartment. The darkness looked anything but inviting. You couldn’t go back in there just yet.
“No?” It came out as more of a question.
“No? Do you want to talk about it-“ Peter was cut off when you rushed into his arm and hugged him tightly. He seemed taken aback, seeing as you nearly knocked the wind out of him. But as soon as he found his footing, he wrapped his strong arms around you and held you close. You relaxed in Peters embrace and let out a sigh.
“I had a nightmare.” You croaked. “You died and I couldn’t save you.”
“I know. It’s okay. You’re awake now. I’m here.” Peter said soothingly.
“I’ve been here the whole time.” He thought. “I will never abandon you. You are safe in my arms. Nothing can hurt you now. I won’t let it.”
You pulled away a little and looked at his face, seeing how tired it was.
“Would you stay with me?” You asked timidly. You didn’t want him to go. Not now, not ever.
“Always.” Peter answered with a smile. “As if I could ever leave you.”
Your lips lit up in a smile as your eyes fell to his lips. They lingered there for too long, or maybe just long enough. Peter took the hint and slipped his hand behind your neck and began to pull you closer. As your lips were about to touch, your door slammed, causing you to jump out of each other’s embrace.
“Shit balls.” You said immediately, letting out an annoyed sigh.
“What?” Peter asked, giggling a little at your choice of profanity.
“I just locked myself out.” You realized as you jiggled through door handle. Peter laughed louder this time and put a hand on your shoulder.
“Come on. You’re sleeping over.” He said, leading you back to his apartment with his hand on the small of his back.
You entered Peters room for the millionth time, but it felt the first time. Sure, you’d become good friends in the time you’ve lived in the building, but bedrooms were intimate places. The context of you being in Peters bedroom after going to him for comfort changes how you saw the place. After all, bedrooms were windows into the soul. Oh wait, that’s eyes. Still, the room was different. You didn’t feel like you were entering it. You felt like you were returning.
You looked around with a content smile on your face. He still had his academic decathlon posters on his wall, along with a few Avengers posters. Peter was pretty neat, but he was still a teenage boy. Socks and sweaters were strewn across the room. You saw him kicking a pair of boxers under his desk out of the corner of you eye. His room was so cute. It was so…Peter. You noticed a first aid kit on his desk next to his chemistry textbook and wondered what on earth he could be using it for.
“I’ve always liked your room.” You complimented as you touched a decathlon trophy on his dresser.
“Oh thank God.” Peter sighed in relief. “I thought you’d take one look at my nerdy ambiance and run.”
“Star Wars bedsheets?” You asked when you noticed the Death Star poking out under his duvet. You definitely hadn’t seen those before and found them endearing. Peters ears reddened and he fixed his duvet to cover them up.
“Those aren’t mine.” He said quickly.
“Are they Mays? As in May the force be with you?” You played along and he gave you a defeated smile.
“That was the worst thing anyone has ever said. Ever.” Peter joked. You laughed and he gave you a shy smile.
“Fine. They’re my bedsheets. Star Wars is cool, okay?” Peter defended. You took a seat on his bed and shrugged.
“You don’t have to explain anything to me Peter. I just didn’t know you were a loser, is all.”You said simply. Peter sat down on the bed next to you and rolled his eyes.
“Very funny. You’re the funniest person I know.” He said sarcastically. You nudged him with your elbow and he and hit you with a Yoda printed pillow.
“Mm. Good with the force you are.” You commented. Peter groaned loudly and told you to shut up.
“Enough playing around. How was your date?” Peter asked as he turned to face you. You could hear the pain in his voice and regretted ever telling him about the date.
“Oh, you know.” You shrugged. “Terrible.”
You weren’t going to let him off the hook that easy. If Peter really did like you and want to be with you, he needed to say it. He couldn’t just grumble and wallow in self pity when you were with another boy. You wanted to test him to see if he’d ever actually admit his feelings, but a part of you was still scared there were no feelings to admit to.
“Really?” He said excitedly. He cleared his throat to cover it up and grunted. “I mean, really?” He asked calmly.
“Yeah it was awful. I definitely won’t be seeing him again.” You sighed sadly, but you weren’t actually sad. You were just putting on a show for Peter. Peter bit the inside of his cheek to stop the smile from emerging.
“That’s terrible.” Peter lied. “What went wrong?”
His acting was equally as bad as your own. He had a shit eating grin on his face, pretending to be sad when he was clearly over the moon.
“It was going fine all night until the kiss.” You sighed dramatically, looking longingly out the window. You might as well have thrown yourself onto the balcony and cried out for Romeo. Peter, however, was buying every second of it.
“You guys kissed?” He asked, his voice heavy with disappointment. He looked miserable. All you wanted to do was throw your arms around his neck and tell him he was the only one for you. Instead, you kept your feelings to yourself and nodded slowly.
“Almost. He leaned in and…” instead of finishing your sentence, you just shrugged. You could tell Peter was on the edge of his seat so you dragged it as long as you could.
“And?” Peter practically begged. You let out another long, dramatic sigh as Peter took a slow sip of his water bottle.
“And I threw up on him.” You said simply. Peter spat out the water in his mouth and burst out laughing, doing his best to cover it up. You gave him a fake angry look but ended up laughing as well.
“What?” Peter laughed.
“He was such a tool.” You whined. “He talked down to me the entire night and then had the audacity to try and kiss me. I don’t know what happened but all the sudden he was leaning in and I was throwing up. He deserved it though. He treated me like was an idiot. I’m almost glad I threw up on him.”
Peters was overjoyed. He was about to say something when we heard a straggled cry of your name.
You and Peter rushed to his peephole and saw a familiar blonde haired boy standing in the hallway.
There he was, Matt, outside your apartment door with his phone on full volume playing “Hungry Eyes” from Dirty Dancing.
“What the actual hell?” You wondered out loud. “I better get rid of him.”
“Y/nnnnnn. I’m sorry I was a jerk.” Matt slurred. “Please talk to me. I told the doorman we were cousins. Then I told the elevator guy that I was your husband. You may need to move now. Y/nnnn.”
“You definitely can’t go out there.” Peter shook his head. “He could have a knife.”
“Or worse.” You whispered, making Peter looked at you fearfully. “He could have the same loser bedsheets you do.”
Peter scrunched his nose at you and picked up you swiftly to threw you onto the couch.
“Since when are you so strong?” You laughed in shock. Peter shrugged and held out a hand.
“Let’s go to bed.” He said. You raised an eyebrow and he quickly added, “In a non-sexual, platonic way.”
He was always so cautious of offending you or making you uncomfortable. You appreciated how much of a gentleman he was and knew Aunt May had implemented those qualities in him.
“You can take the bed.” He offered. “I’ll sleep on the couch. Let me know if you need anything.”
You nodded and climbed into his bed, patting the the space next to you.
“Don’t be ridiculous.” You told him. “Get in.”
Peter looked at you with wide eyes, looking very unsure of himself as he toyed with the hem of his shirt.
He was torn. He wanted to get into the bed, but he also knew you were vulnerable right now and he didn’t want to take advantage of you. He didn’t want to do anything you’d end up regretting in the morning.
“Get in, in a non-sexual, platonic way.” You added. Peter relaxed but stayed standing. You pretended to splash Peter and twirled your hand around the bedsheets as if they were water.
“Come on in Parker. The waters warm.” You said in a low voice.
“I am…repulsed.” Peter deadpanned. In reality, he was dying to get in the bed. He wasn’t gonna try anything, he just wanted to feel you close. He wanted to comfort you and take the pain of the night away. Finally, he got into the bed and pulled the covers up. He shut off his lamp and we fell into comfortable silence.
“Good night, Peter.” You whispered, turning your back to him and cuddling into his pillow.
“Night, Y/n.” He whispered back. You felt his eyes on the back of your neck still. He didn’t want to close them and fall asleep. He wanted to stay in this moment as long as he could.
You soon felt hesitant arms wrap around your waist. Peter was very unsure of himself and kept his hands loosely on your hips, barely touching. You turned your neck around and looked at him quizzically.
“What the hell are you doing?” You demanded. His hands flew off your waist and his eyes widened with fear. He looked so apologetic, you thought he might cry.
“Do you not know how to cuddle?” You asked before he could blurt out an apology. You grabbed his arms and pulled them tightly around your body. You held his hands in your own, flush against your chest. Peter felt really tense at first and a bit stiff, but he soon relaxed and nestled into your hair.
“You smell really good.” He muttered. You laughed softly against his body, prompting Peter to hold you even tighter.
“I’ve wanted this for so long, Y/N.” He whispered. He said it so quietly, you figured he thought you had fallen asleep. “Sweet dreams.”
You woke up the next morning in Peter Parker’s arms. Subsequently, you wanted to wake up every morning for the rest of your life in Peter Parker’s arms. You were a mess of tangled limbs and hair but you found yourself firmly in his embrace, inhaling his cologne.
Peters eyes fluttered open suddenly and you were nose to nose.
“Hi.” You said softly, a playful smile resting on your lips. He was so pretty in the morning. He didn’t even have to try.
“Hey.” He chuckled. “This is new.”
“It is new. Is it okay?” You asked him, not wanting to overstep his boundaries.
“Is waking up next to the actual sun okay?” He teased. “Uh yea, Y/n. It’s okay. You can sleep over anytime you like if it means more mornings like this.”
Of course he said that. He held all your strings and knew just how to tug them.
“Did you really not enjoy that date?” He whispered, but in his head thought, “Do you want to be with anyone else?”
You didn’t know why he was whispering, but the look in his eyes told you he was dead serious.
“Not in the slightest.” You answered honestly. What you wanted to say was, “Because it wasn’t with you.”, but you didn’t.
“Would you…would you want to go out with me sometime?” He asked shyly. “I promise I won’t throw up on you.”
He said the second part as if it was the only way you’d say yes to the date, which made you laugh.
“Peter Parker, I have waited exactly 64 days for you to ask me that question and you just had to ruin it by promising you won’t throw up on me?” You playfully scolded as Peters eyes lit up.
“Is that a yes?” He asked excitedly.
“It’s a yes.” You nodded, holding his nearest hand. “It’s always been a yes.”
“Can I-“ He began.
“Don’t ask.” You whispered. “Just do it.”
Peter leaned in slowly and you did the same. His lips had just ghosted yours when Aunt May knocked on the door. He bolted out of bed as you sat up.
“Breakfast is ready. Did you clean your room?” Aunt May called from the other side of the door.
“Yes.” Peter called back. You looked around. No he didn’t
“No you didn’t.” She said knowingly. She didn’t even have to see his room to know it wasn’t clean.
“I’ll clean it after.” He groaned.
“I’m coming in.” She said suddenly, making you and Peter look at each other in fear.
“Don’t! I’m naked.” He screamed.
“Fine. But it better be clean after breakfast. And put some clothes on. You should not be naked at 7 am.” Aunt May said. You heard her footsteps walking away and knew it was safe to speak. You got out of Peters bed as he got up to lock the door, his back still to you as he did it.
“Alright.” He sighed. “That should buy us some ti-“
The second he turned around, he was met with your lips on his. You had your hands on the sides of his face and your head tilted to the left. You felt Peters eyes flutter shut as his eyelashes tickled your cheeks. He was frozen at first, but slowly wrapped his arms around your waist and pulled you closer. You melted into him and he melted right back into you. The kiss was short and sweet, but absolutely perfect.
When you pulled away, Peter gave you the softest eyes ever. A grateful smile was on his lips.
“I am so over these interrupted moments.” You laughed softly as you shook your head. Peters eyes twinkled in agreement. The sun was coming through the window and made his brown eyes look like pots of honey. You could stare at them forever.
And then he kissed you again, with confidence this time. He wasn’t ready for the last one since you caught him off guard. You let your fingers tangle in the messy curls at the back of his neck, something you thought you’d only get to dream of doing. Peter groaned slightly into your mouth as you tugged on his hair, indicating that he liked it. He put his hand under your neck and slipped his toungue in your mouth. Who knew Peter Parker knew how to kiss? He tasted like morning breath, spearmint chapstick, and something you could only identify as being exclusively Peter. When you pulled apart, he looked up at the sky and sighed.
“If I wake up and this is all a dream I’m going to fight you.” He said menacingly.
“Did you just threaten God?” You laughed.
“For you? Anthing. I’ll fight anyone for your honor. Our Lord and Savior can catch these hands can square up.” He promised.
“You’ve gone to far.” You joked. “We need to break up.”
“Don’t even joke. I’ve waited too long for this.” Peter said as he wrapped his arms around you.
“I’m only teasing. I’ve waited my whole life for you Parker. I’m never letting you go.” You told him. He burst out in a smile and kissed you swiftly, then promptly got down on one knee.
“Will you please be mine, darling? Officially?” He pleaded softly. There was so much hope in his eyes so you pretended to think about it.
“Sorry.” You shrugged. “I’m pretty busy with Matt.”
Peter stood up and gripped your hips, pulling you closer while you let out a small gasp.
“I never want to hear his name again. He had the privilege of taking my girl on a date and treated her poorly?” He raised an eyebrow. “He’s a deadman if I ever see him around here. Now, I need you to tell me you’re my girlfriend before my heart explodes. Tell me you’re mine. I won’t believe it until you say it. ”
You nodded yes as you wrapped your arms around his neck and kissed his lips.
“Peter Parker, I always have, and always will be, yours.”

CHAPTER 19: ATTACCA
Music glossary: Attacca - "To attack at once"; used as a direction in music at the end of a movement to begin the next without pause
–––––
(Mood music: "The Conversation" - Pearl Django)
Being mere months away from graduating lycée meant that their group of friends didn’t have as many classes together, due to their diverse individual interests and talents. However, they always made sure to make time to hang out after school before their extracurricular activities began.
And thus, Adrien, Nino, and Alya made their way to the classroom where the art club gathered to meet up with Marinette. From there, Adrien would make his way to either fencing lessons or Chinese, depending on the day of the week. Marinette would join him on days when he had Chinese (as she’d become determined to master the language ever since her uncle visited from Shanghai a few years back), Alya would go to her journalism club, and Nino would travel to his part-time internship at the local recording studio.
“–and the backlogs just keep piling up!” Alya spoke as they walked, voice full of vigor and excitement. “I’ve had to recruit yet another mod to help me keep order in the forums! Especially since the Ladyblog has started going international and we’ve had to organize servers in different languages. You wouldn’t believe how crazy it’s gotten in there recently!”
“Dang, babe,” Nino interjected. “Sounds like things are super rough for you right now.”
“Not really, more busy than anything. Especially because I have that big research article due next week, there’s just not enough hours in the day to try to read everything that goes on in there. But I have my mods report to me daily, ‘cause I always like to stay on top of everything that goes on in the chats!”
“What’s gotten everyone so riled up in the Ladyblog lately?” Adrien chimed in. “I don’t recall it being nearly this busy last year.”
The trio entered the art club’s classroom and settled down at the table where Marinette sat, getting her various sketches organized. The art teacher was quite easy going, so they didn’t have to talk in hushed whispers and could come and go as they pleased.
“Well, to be honest, it’s because of Chat Noir,” Alya replied.
Adrien tried to contain his surprise. “R-really? What– uhhh, what do people have to say about him?”
He winced inwardly. He knew he shouldn’t ask. But curiosity got the better of him today. Maybe learning the news through the filter or Alya’s paraphrasing instead of reading the negative comments firsthand would lessen the sting of what people said about him.
Marinette whipped her head around at the mention of his alter ego. “Wait, what about Chat Noir?” she inquired.
“Girl,” Alya replied, her voice filled with renewed exuberance. “You would not believe how much we’ve had to censor and moderate all the inappropriate things people have been saying!”
Adrien flinched in his seat. “Wow… do people really hate him that much?” he asked, trying to conceal the dejection in his voice.
Alya busted out into loud guffaws. “Hate?! Dude, most people don’t hate him; they LOVE him! By ‘inappropriate’ comments, I mean the kinda stuff you wouldn’t want your grandma to catch you reading! There’s a whole giant section dedicated to his new fan club!” she said as she removed her glasses so she could wipe away the tears of laughter.
“WHAT?!” Adrien squawked in confusion, his face feeling hotter than the ovens back at the bakery. “A fan club??”
Marinette burst into uncontrollable snickering. “Has it really gotten that bad?!”
Nino joined in, “Bro! Adrien, I can’t believe you haven’t heard Alya rant about these rabid fans before! They call themselves the ‘Noir Nation’, and the kind of things they’ve been writing would make adult romance authors blush like schoolgirls!”
Alya nodded, thoroughly amused. “And that’s not including all the fanfiction people have been writing.”
“Wait– the WHAT?! There’s fanfiction?!!” Marinette gaped in shock, as if she’d been hit in the face with an enormous pie. “Alya, how come I never knew about this?!”
“Why? You wanna read em? Girl, you’ll get no judgment from me. If you wanna check ‘em out for yourself, just go check under the hashtag ‘Ladynoir’.”
Marinette stammered as her arms flailed in her bewilderment, accidentally knocking her phone off the table and onto the floor, her eyes bigger and rounder than Adrien had ever seen them. “They have a ship name?!” she screeched.
“Just mind the ratings though,” Alya advised. “Some of them can get pretty steamy. You wouldn’t want someone to catch you reading those in public,” she added with a wink.
Marinette continued to sputter incoherently. “NO, I am NOT gonna read it!! It would be different if they were fictional characters, but I could never read fanfiction about real people!”
Alya raised a skeptical eyebrow at her. “Mm-hmm… Sure.”
Marinette’s hands flew to her face, trying to hide how red her entire face had gotten, and released a long squeak that resembled a hamster on helium. As shocked as Adrien was about these rather unexpected news, seeing Marinette’s over-the-top reaction brought a wide grin to his face and he busted out laughing.
He bent over to retrieve Marinette’s phone, since she was too busy being mortified to notice it had fallen to the floor. As he was about to hand it back, the screen lit up and Adrien saw the lockscreen wallpaper: it was the same photo of Ladybug and Chat Noir that he himself had saved earlier that day. He smiled, not exactly sure what to make of it, but finding it adorable that she’d liked the photo enough to set it as her lockscreen.
He tapped her shoulder, waiting for her to respond. She emerged from behind her impromptu hand shield and turned her head, then her eyes widened once again as soon as she saw what Adrien was showing her. She jolted straight up, stiff as a board, and her eyes met his, cheeks turning tomato red. He winked at her, amused about this little secret between them, and handed back her phone without a word.
Marinette accepted it with a meek-sounding, “Thanks,” looking like she wanted to explain the photo, but not able to do so unless she wanted Alya and Nino to find out that she was potentially a… ahem– “Ladynoir” shipper.
Switching the conversation to something else (which Marinette seemed to be eternally grateful for), the group chatted until it became time for them to scatter to their next destinations.
With a wave, Adrien exited the classroom and headed towards fencing practice, one of the few activities he decided to stick with despite not being forced to participate. Fencing, along with Chinese lessons, were not only enjoyable, but were also quite useful. Sadly, he didn’t have access to a piano anymore, so he wasn’t able to pursue that hobby for the time being. Hopefully later down the line, when things had settled down and he’d found his own place to live, he’d be able to finance one.
Thinking about the future had become an exciting pastime instead of an anxiety-inducing one, and it was all thanks to his friends and those he cared about. He smiled as he reached the door to the locker rooms, continuing to daydream of what was to come.
(Mood music: "Recollection 3" - Shirō Sagisu (BLEACH OST, "The Diamond Dust Rebellion")
Adrien finished getting dressed for fencing, his head still blissfully floating in the clouds. He stored his belongings into his assigned locker, shutting it with a loud clang, which echoed through the empty room.
Huh...? Empty?
He swiveled his head around, surprised that there was no one beside him. He stood up and began walking down the large room, peeking down the other locker rows looking for his classmates; but there was nobody.
Where was everyone? There’s no way that every single one of them was running late. Had his lessons been cancelled and he’d somehow missed a text message or email? He began heading back towards his locker to check his phone for any schedule changes.
Before he reached his destination, however, heavy thudding footsteps broke the eerie silence. Adrien whipped his body around to greet whoever they belonged to.
The owner of those footsteps was one of the last people Adrien expected to meet here.
“Gaspard?!”
Adrien stood agape, face to face with his old bodyguard, whom he hadn’t seen in a couple of years; not since he’d resigned and moved out of the country. Nathalie had mentioned that in his resignation letter, Gaspard said that he’d become involved in an overseas business venture involving the market of rare action figures. Nevertheless, Adrien couldn’t help but suspect that his father’s ill temper and poor treatment of their employees was the true reason for his departure.
Adrien’s first reaction was surprise and joy, and he rushed forward to greet and embrace him. However, as he approached and got a better look at the man’s face, Adrien’s mood instantly morphed into confusion and apprehension. There was something odd about his eyes.
Something wasn’t right. Why was Gaspard here? And why now?
He came to a halt about a meter before reaching him. An oppressive weight seemed to press in all around him, and he had to suppress a shiver. “Wait. Gaspard, did–” he gulped, “–did my father send you?”
His old bodyguard did not reply, but took a heavy step towards him. Adrien stepped back.
“Please… I can’t go back. I live somewhere else now, and I’m very happy there. Whatever he told you about the situation, it’s a lie.”
His bodyguard continued to approach him, his stare vacant and unsettling.
Fighting the urge to panic, he pleaded, “You don’t have to do this. If he’s offered you compensation, I can match it; it’ll just take me a bit of time. But we can work something out, right?? For old time’s sake?”
He continued walking backwards until he bumped into something firm, but it wasn’t a wall; it was another person. Before he could turn around, they grabbed him by the shoulders, detaining him and preventing him from running away.
He was about to shout for help when something sharp jabbed him on the side of the neck, injecting a cold liquid. Adrien’s eyes grew wide in terror.
Shit.
Adrien swore as he jerked away, elbowing whoever was behind him and managing to break free. Rubbing at the spot where the syringe had stabbed him, he glanced back to take a look at his other assailant, only to see... another Gaspard?
Why are there two of him??
This was wrong. Gaspard didn’t have a twin; he knew that for a fact. He’d worked for the Agrestes ever since Adrien was a toddler and was too young to even pronounce his name correctly (hence the nickname “Gorille”, which stuck around for years afterwards). Additionally, there was something uncanny, otherworldly, even, about the way these two men looked and moved.
He shook himself out of his stupor. He didn’t have time to contemplate any possible explanations. He had to get out of there fast.
He sprinted towards the exit, but only managed to travel a few paces before he lost his footing and tripped. He fell to the ground hard, almost hitting his head on a nearby bench. As he struggled to get up, he realized that his fingers and toes had already gone numb.
Not good.
Time was running out. Adrenaline coursed through him and, with a grunt, he hefted himself to his feet and scrambled towards the exit, as fast as he could despite a heavy limp. Though his heart was hammering and his legs felt like they were filled with sand, he pushed himself, concentrating on reaching the door.
After taking a few steps, however, he realized that even if he did manage to exit the locker room, the area beyond was an open courtyard. Meaning he wasn’t going to be able to reach someplace safe before getting caught. He had no choice but to transform into Chat Noir, and hopefully Plagg’s powers and strength could help him escape and find somewhere to hide.
He’d scarcely uttered the first syllable in the transformation phrase when he was tackled to the ground. A giant hand swiftly covered his mouth and Adrien felt his hands get bound together with thick zip ties behind his back. A muffled scream of writhing frustration made its way up his throat as his limbs became more and more useless by the second.
No… This can’t be happening! Please, this can’t be how it all ends!
Just when his life had finally gained a semblance of normalcy and he’d found happiness again, it would get ripped away and he would disappear without a trace, leaving everyone to wonder what had happened to him. Leaving his friends to think that Gabriel had pulled him from school and they would never see him again. Leaving Ladybug to wonder if Chat had abandoned her forever. Leaving her to fight Hawkmoth alone. Again.
He couldn’t let that happen. He thrashed and struggled as furiously as he could, fighting the feelings of overwhelming helplessness that threatened to consume him. Nearing despair, he was too distracted to notice Plagg phrasing through the wall, away from the skirmish, in search of the only person who could save him.
(Mood music: "Run" - Ludovico Einaudi)
Marinette fidgeted with her pencil, her feet wiggled and bounced under her desk. She didn’t understand; when she’d arrived at the art club, her head had been filled with inspiration and ideas that she’d been excited to draw and execute. However, at the moment, her mind was filled with noise and disquietude.
Having had enough, she excused herself to visit the restroom. Once she’d walked far enough from the classroom, she opened her purse to talk to Tikki about her current dilemma.
“It’s the same feeling as last night, Tikki! Except that would mean one of three possibilities. Option A.) It’s nothing and I’m going crazy. And— don’t give me that look, Tikki! I can see what you’re thinking and I don’t have time for your cheeky sass right now!” The kwami snickered while Marinette cleared her throat and continued, “Option B.) that Chat is here, at this school, which is impossible because his school’s on the other side of the city, that’s why he always leaves the house super early for his long commute.”
Tikki opened her mouth and looked like she was about to say something, but then didn’t (...or couldn’t?).
Marinette resumed, “Or, C.) that my–– what do I even call it? My ‘Spidey sense’??–– that it’s got a long distance mode, and Chat is all the way across Paris and he’s in trouble! But what am I supposed to do about that from here?! I wouldn’t even know where to begin looking!”
Tikki shrugged. “Follow your instincts, Marinette. There’s no harm in taking a quick look around the school, right?”
Marinette groaned. “UGH! It doesn’t make sense!! Am I going to get interrupted like this all the time from now on?” She shook her head resolutely. “No. I can’t just go off on random field trips every single time I feel a random fit of anxiety. I’m sure it’s just leftover jitters from last night. I’m supposed to call Master Fu after school anyway; he can help me figure everything out. I’m just gonna go back to class and forget about it.”
Tikki frowned, not quite convinced, but deciding not to press further.
Marinette made her way back to the classroom in a frustrated huff. But as her hand reached to turn the handle, the feelings of danger and urgency multiplied tenfold. Without a word, she sprinted away in the opposite direction, not even knowing where she was running to, only knowing she had to get there immediately.
She reached the large common area of the school downstairs. Her head whipped around, frantically searching for something, anything. In her haste, she didn’t notice a small black creature zoom into her open purse.
A few moments later, she felt a frantic tugging at her shirt from below.
“Marinette!! Over there! Check the locker room, quick!!!” Tikki whisper-screamed as she peeked outside the purse, her tone uncharacteristically frantic.
Marinette nodded, then sprinted to the locker room.
“Wait! You should transform first!” Tikki added.
No time!
“Marinette, wait!!”
Despite Tikki’s protests, Marinette raced towards the double doors, tackling them open.
Three sets of eyes landed on her as she skidded to a halt, but only one pair consumed her entire attention. She gasped in horror, hands flying to her face as she stared at what was occurring in front of her. Adrien let out a desperate, muffled scream urging her to run.
His panicked voice snapped her out of her dazed shock; but instead of running, she stood her ground, eyes darting back and forth across the area searching for something useful. The room was remarkably barren except for a lone broom a short distance away from her. She grabbed it and leaped towards the closest attacker (the one holding Adrien down), swinging it like a baseball bat.
The man didn’t even try to avoid the hit; the broomstick merely bounced off the side of his face where Marinette had hit him. She frowned in confusion, then tried hitting him again, bringing the stick down on the top of his head like an axe.
SNAP.
The end of the broom flew off, and Marinette stared in shock at the broken broomstick.
“What the hell are you?!” Marinette exclaimed, shifting her grip on the shortened wooden stub.
She pounced at the second bodyguard, bringing her weapon down in a stabbing motion; but he swatted at her hand, disarming her. She yelped in pain, leaping backwards to get some distance between them.
She was outmatched. The only strategy available was to use their own size against them. With a feint to the side, she shot at his legs for a takedown, hoping to catch him off balance. He called her bluff and shoved her backwards with his giant palm, then kneed her in the stomach.
Winded from the impact, Marinette doubled over with a gasping wheeze, fighting with all her might to keep herself from collapsing onto the ground. She forced herself upright and attacked again. With a clumsy jerk, she lunged forward, swinging wild punches at her opponent. The shots connected but his expression barely changed; it was like beating a breathing punching bag.
The bodyguard backhanded Marinette across the face. Pain shooting across her cheek, she staggered, almost losing her balance. In her daze, she watched helplessly as the man reared his arm back. There was no chance to dodge. His fist connected with her abdomen, delivering a liver shot that shut down her entire body. She crumpled to the floor as if boneless. She tried to call out Adrien’s name, but her mouth merely opened in a silent scream.
Marinette could hear Adrien’s distressed screaming, but it sounded distant, like they were underwater. The edges of her vision grew black and fuzzy, the entire room dissolving around her. She had to consciously force her lungs to inhale, but couldn’t fill them all the way, as if a boulder had been placed on top of her chest.
Faintly, she felt herself getting picked up off the ground and carried away over someone’s shoulder. Disoriented and semi-blinded, the sudden movement and rough jostling made her head spin and gave her vertigo. She gritted her teeth and squeezed her eyes shut, trying to block it all out.
A few moments later, they stopped moving, and she heard a door burst open. Where were they? Before she could gather her senses, she was in the air, thrown several meters away, landing with a hard thud. A sharp pain traveled down her body as she rolled into the wall across them. The shriek that tried to escape her throat emerged as a strained, shallow whine.
The man stomped out, leaving her alone in the room. “Stop…!” she rasped out, managing to tilt her neck upwards, head pounding.
The bodyguard slammed the door shut, followed by a bang and a clattering sound that could only mean he’d broken the doorknob of whatever room she was in.
Marinette's vision became more and more blurred. At the verge of losing consciousness, she fought to keep her eyes open as tears pricked at the corners of her eyes.
No, she couldn’t pass out! She had to save Adrien! Stay awake, Marinette, stay awake!!
She bit down on her lip hard, focusing on the sharp sting, on the swelling that was already forming around her right eye, forcing herself to feel the pain her body was in. At this moment, feeling pain was better than falling unconscious. She concentrated on her breathing, slowly regaining her senses.
She reached down to open her purse and get Tikki’s help… only to be met with emptiness. Panic settled in her gut as she realized that sometime during the skirmish, the purse had slipped off her shoulder. She sat up, slowly, so she wouldn’t risk feeling faint again from the change in positions.
She squinted, adjusting her eyesight to the darkness of the room. It seemed to be some sort of supply closet. After a failed few attempts to stand, she crawled towards the door instead, careful not to bump into the crates and shelves that filled the area.
The girl eyed the broken doorknob wearily. She was pretty proficient at lockpicking and breaking into things, but not as good at breaking out. Her only hope was that Tikki would be able to find her… if she was even nearby.
She swore to herself. Why had she rushed in and attacked two grown ass men (who, incidentally, may or may not be supernatural to boot!) instead of hiding and creating a strategy?! Now she was useless, Tikki was gone, and Adrien was surely on his way to get auctioned to the highest bidder in the criminal black market and ransomed off for an enormous sum. Great job, Marinette. Adrien’s been abducted and it’s all your fault.
Gathering all the determination she could muster, she tried to call out for help. But her voice was still too hoarse, and only a weak croak came out. She clenched her fists, grumbling irritably. Time for a different approach. Somehow, she needed to make noise.
After a brief search, she found a hard, metallic object that she could use to hammer on the door. She tested it out; it was surprisingly effective. She doubled her efforts, making as big a racket as possible. Hopefully, it would only be a matter of time before somebody heard her, let her out, and she could go find Adrien.
She couldn’t let anything else happen to another loved one. Not again.

jobs I hc the hoa kids doing in the future
joy: events/wedding planner - for obvious reasons. in my head she doesn’t do it immediately though. she does hospitality at uni and then takes some job weekend managing a hotel that she doesn’t enjoy much. it’s only after the insane stress of planning patricia and eddie’s wedding that she decides it’s the creative thrill of it that she loves so much. everyone kinda thinks that’s a nuts way to decide to do what they think she should’ve done all along but she doubted her ability.
jerome: founder of a successful business/investment group - he’s so smart and if he put his mind to it I think he’d be very successful. he doesn’t go to uni and instead takes a degree apprenticeship with alfie’s dad and works his way into his own company. he’s got the kind of initiative that makes very powerful men say ‘I like this kid’ and help him.
mick: athlete until he retires and then a coach/manager - self explanatory. he plays for a decent football team in with Australia or the uk. I don’t think he’s the most well known or anything but he does well for himself. he also has the natural ability to encourage people that would make him a great coach
mara: investigative journalist/activist - the vera incident taught her a lot about sources but she doesn’t give up easily. uni teaches her a lot but her teacher recognises her potential. she’s very determined and has a need to do good. her parents were also olympians so she’d have connections
nina: successful mystery author/full time chosen one - the play did well and to be honest she just writes about things that happen to her. tales of her school years do well, and once she’s covered her own and sarah’s experiences, she writes the untold stories of the ghosts and gods she encounters and helps. her publisher definitely thinks she has a couple screws loose but she’s doing well so who are they to care?
fabian: historian/researcher - not only is he interested and good in it but it’s what his family does. he has the hoity toity attitude of a weathered expert down and he knows a suspicious amount about egyptian gods but he’s able to provide evidence for the most part.
patricia: in a high managerial/sales role in a big company - I don’t necessarily think she knows much about the actual business she works in but when people find a girl that good at talking and selling things and getting people to bend to her will however much it takes they give her a whole staff of people and she loves it. this is one of the most different takes to the general fandom consensus but idk this job gives her more independence and I think she’d also love to travel with work and idk it makes more sense to me personally
kt: events photographer that volunteers at an animal shelter in her free time - each day is different which she loves. after properly honing I’m on her artistic talents during college she works under another photographer until she’s able to freelance. she works with mara, fabian and joy whenever they need her
eddie: firefighter - this is the one I’m most happy with idc. after losing his osirian powers he’s still left with a strong desire to help people and it’s also athletic and competitive and rewarding and allows him to feel himself again. he does go to college though. idk what he would do but he would have a good time.
willow: primary school teacher who also volunteers in her free time - it would just really fit her personality. she really loves people and it allows her to feel young forever. she’s so good at reading the children and helping them through everything.
amber: fashion designer - another obvious one idc it’s who she’s born to be she has the money connections talent and will. she gets an internship right out of fashion school and works her way up until she can start her own brand. she would absolutely destroy the met gala
alfie: children’s trauma councillor - alfie was hard but this felt right. for someone who went through a lot and was scared of everything he was very good at coping with and pushing through it for the sake of the people he cares about. I also just think he’d be so good with kids and making them laugh and feel heard. he’s just a very approachable understanding person
#these don’t fit in all that well with what I’ve seen other people say#but these are what makes the most sense to me personally#some are more basic but idk idc#eddie looks like a firefighter too you can change my mind it won’t work#house of anubis#hoa#txt#hcs

I got this request story idea where quirkless deku doesn't want to be a hero anymore because of bullying that he got from bakugou and wrong saying that he got from all might. So deku decides is a backpacker, travelling around the world experiencing cultures, food, quirks!!! He has even a YouTube account where talk about his travels, meet new people and talk about their quirks.
Here you go @sweetizukufan its set in nz like you wanted :D
Ochako flopped onto her bed and groaned into a pillow. She didn’t have the right to complain, she knew that. She had been one of thousands of applicants to pass the entrance exam and for the past three years her classmates had been training just as hard as she had. And truthfully she didn’t want to complain. It was her final year at UA. It was only a matter of months until she was officially a hero her dream since a child and she was excited for it!
That didn't change the fact Aizawa had upped their training the last few months. The days got longer the work harder and quite frankly it left her with virtually zero free time. Whenever she tried voicing her thoughts she’d be met by her well meaning, but overly enthusiastic classmates encouraging her to keep her head up.
She was! That didn’t mean she had to go through hellish training with a wide smile on her face.
“Ugh,” Ochako rolled over as it got hard to breath with the pillow smothering her. She really did need to get some sleep before waking up at five in the bloody morning tomorrow when she hit the gym. But honestly at this point if she didn’t do something to break up the monotony of training, eating and sleeping she was going to lose it.
She blindly grabbed for her phone. The school had funded getting her a newer model than her old flip phone since that had been a hindrance when she started internships. She was provided with the industry standard which her friends had tested by throwing it out a window, where it hit Bakugou’s head, and was promptly exploded then stomped on. The thing came out of it without a scratch.
She brought up youtube, it’s not like she had any games, let alone time to play them. It was probably a bad sign she had forgotten what channels she liked. With little other option she started scrolling trending with only a small amount of hesitance. She flicked past everything that was clearly clickbait, too childish or both.
Something caught her eye and Ochako back-pedalled to take a look. It looked like some sort of vlogging channel ‘ARRIVING IN NEW ZEALAND! Auckland sky tower!!!’ was written across the screen. Even with all the caps she didn’t really see how that could be clickbait. Maybe the guy was just excited, she would like to get a holiday like that after all. The image had him smiling at the camera sitting down and below him was nothing, nothing but a street far below. Ochako was embarrassed to say her first thought was that he had some sort of floating quirk before realising he was literally sitting on a window. In her defence she had a float quirk.
Partly embarrassed she clicked on the video why not live her traveling dreams vicariously through a stranger? She used to watch her fair share of travel videos, although those were mostly in tropical places so she could research where to take her parents.
The video started with a shot looking over the wing of a plane, a montage of it starting to land. Ochako was vaguely concerned when all she could see was water out the window but just before touch down the tarmac came into view so it wasn't a surprise crash landing. The camera cut off after a few more seconds panning across the airport as the plane pulled in. The music started to fade out as the shot cut to the same guy as before.
“Hey guys Midoriya here again, just got off an eleven hour flight,” He had no right to look so cheerful at that Ochako had never been on a plane but it didn’t look particularly fun, “And let me tell you I was not prepared for the ordeal that is security here,”
Midoriya’s smile faltered a bit, looking sheepish. He was walking with the camera just outside the airport, people milling around in the background paying him no mind.
“I had no idea it would be that tough, I had an apple I got on the plane in my bag and I thought that would be alright, I got it on the plane after all!” Midoriya didn’t look upset or angry but he was blushing madly. Ochako cracked a smile at that now that she looked closer he was probably about her age, “But no, I swear I thought they were going to arrest me! They started interrogating me, I had to stutter out that I got it on the plane, but that didn’t stop them they gave me a lecture about protecting the environment and declaring food, luckily I got off without a fine, I think it’s because I looked terrified, because I was,”
Midoriya chuckled rubbing his neck, there was a bang and he looked wideyed to the side the camera shook slightly then cut to another shot the setting slightly off from where it was showing a bit of greenery growing at the air port.
“Sorry dropped my bag,” Ochako giggled at that a bit, more that he had decided to keep that in the video than anything else, “So I thought that was the end of it, but apparently not, they started asking questions about my shoes, ‘have you visited any farms?’ ‘have you worn them hiking at any point?’ stuff like that, so that was a bit of a problem because these are my only pair of shoes in this country and I’m pretty sure they’re gonna incinerate that apple,”
A little graphic of a cartoon apple on fire popped up along with a pair of shoes. A speech bubble followed saying ‘save yourself!’ as the apple’s little chibi face screwed up.
“I promised them that no, I haven’t by the way I wouldn’t lie about this stuff the environment here is super cool and unique I couldn’t live with myself if my dirty shoes killed a forest,” The graphic was gone by now and Midoriya was walking through the airport, “But I handed over all the snacks I had in my bag, even if they were ok to bring in the country I was too anxious to risk it, that seemed to appease the border security and I got away with my shoes in tact, my snacks sacrifice will not be in vain,”
Ochako was tempted to laugh but if someone set fire to her snacks or sweets there would be hell to pay.
“Anyway now I’m hungry and have some time before my hotels check in,” Midoriya beamed at the camera, “So I’m gonna do something I’ve wanted to since planning this trip,”
On that mysterious note the video cut to another montage as Midoriya got into a taxi. Ochako let herself enjoy the sights that rolled out the window. She wished she had a computer to watch this on instead of squinting for details on her phone's screen. The montage went onto show the outside of a store then going inside to pan over all the baked goods inside. It was a smorgasbord that stoked Ochako’s envy.
“Here we are,” Midoriya sat at a table just outside the store a few bags laid out in front of him, “These sorts of bakeries are everywhere in New Zealand, I didn’t look for anywhere specific just one walking distance to my hotel room, and here we are!”
Midoriya took something from a bag showing it to the camera to make out the golden crust of a pie. Going torturously in detail as he ripped it open for the audience's benefit. Steam rose and mince flowed out, surprising Ochako as she thought it would be sweet. Breaking it open made a mess as Midoriya was forced to drop the piping hot pastry. The filling pooled across the bag it had come in making the whole thing look sloppy.
“I think my friend would kill me if she saw me do that, Gemma don’t watch this video,” Midoriya warned to late, “She’s the one who told me I had to try a pie, I have a few flavours here but lets start with the basic one, mince!”
Midoriya had some difficulty eating it now that it had fallen apart but managed and his eyes lit up.
“It’s really good, the pastry is flaky and buttery it works really well with the savoury mince the two together make a really satisfying bite, but I guess it would be better if I didn’t destroy it first,” Midoriya said sheepishly, “I won’t do that for the rest of them, promise,”
Midroiya took another bite from the pie before showing off the next one.
“This is Gemma’s favourite Butter Chicken, and trust me it smells so good!” Midoriya, the tease took a bite. Ochako had to wonder what she did to deserve this, “Wow I like this one way better, not that the other one was bad!” Midoriya hurriedly said.
He showed the inside to the camera, a rich looking butter chicken inside.
“It’s really flavourful so you don’t need any sauce that and the texture of the chicken and curry are really complimented by the pie crust,” Izuku took another bite as he talked, “I guess it’s kinda like if Butter Chicken was wrapped up in Nan so there's no way it wouldn’t be good,”
Midoriya talked more as he ate that pie and a steak and cheese one he had brought talking about both until Ochako’s mouth was salivating.
“That’s not nearly all the pie options, but I’ll be touring across New Zealand so this can be an ongoing adventure, now desert!” Midoriya brought out a long bun full of cream, it had a dollop of jam on the top and so much icing sugar Ochako feared for his health. Midoriya however ignored those fears and took a bite anyway, “The buns really soft and the area that the cream’s touched it is just the best texture ever,”
He smiled and there was cream and powder on his cheeks Ochako just knew was going to haunt her until he wiped it off.
“This entire thing is just, ‘ok how can we make this as soft as possible,” Midoriya commented getting closer to the middle of the bun where the bit of jam was, “The raspberry, I think? Jam is really good at breaking up the flavour half way through, now I can eat the rest of it,” Midoriya grinned as he finished it off. He started walking around again waiting for his check in to arrive. That didn't seem to bother him as he pointed out things on the street as he walked.
As he did, Ochako saw someone blatantly jump over the street instead of waiting for the lights. There was another person in the background who casually strolled across the side of a building, feet sticking to it somehow. While people would use their quirks on the street all the time they were usually less obvious about it as police would sometimes call them out and it did depend quirk to quirk. Midoriya zoomed in on a few of these people before it focused on him smiling as he walked.
“New Zealands got pretty cool laws around quirk usage,” He explained, clearly having done his research, enthusiastically by the looks of it, “You have to go through some basic training to prove you can control your quirk, at least so you wont hurt anyone after that you get a license and your free to use your quirk, like I island,” That Ochako thought was cool part of her training had pointed out that some situations heroes were called in for weren't always villain attacks but some public quirk usage gone south, “It’s pretty easy to get by the sounds of it but that does all depend on what your quirk may be,”
The shot cut a bit, Ochako assumed he had rambled on about that for a bit and decided to cut that part.
“In terms of heroes from what I’ve researched the police handle most of that, they’re trained in their quirks kinda like hero schools back in Japan but starting at university not highschool,” That made sense Ochako supposed, and they’d probably have more time to master their quirks too, “There’s a few heroes sure, they’re like a branch of the police department and I think there's a departmental separation between rescue and combat heroes,”
Was she privately pleased he had listed rescue heroes first? Yes, yes she was.
“But honestly there aren’t many, they seem more like the people you call in for really big stuff going on, or international relations, it makes sense the population of New Zealand isn’t all that big,” Midoriya rounded the corner someone made a peace sign at the camera before moving on, “Almost half the population is here in Auckland and the whole country hasn’t reached the five million mark yet, thats crazy to me considering Japan’s population is in the hundred million range and it’s only slightly bigger than New Zealand,”
That did seem insane to Ochako, not sure to be smug about that fact or not.
“So that's probably why heroes are less of a thing here but that doesn't mean it’s all not still really cool,” Midoriya was beaming at the camera, his positivity and enthusiasm practically punching her through the screen, “I’ve rambled enough, it’s about check in time I’ll show you guys where I’ll be staying,”
Midoriya gave a quick tour of his hotel room. It wasn't much, more of a backpackers than anything.
“It’s not big I know but I’ll only be staying here for a few days to explore Auckland then I’m off traveling so a large place wasn't really a worry,” Midoriya flopped down on the bed, bouncing slightly as he hit the mattress, “I’m gonna take a nap because I am exhausted,” His tone betrayed nothing, “But stick around because I’ve got a surprise this afternoon- well I probably put it in the title anyway so it’s not a surprise but it’s still going to be cool, See ya,” Midoriya saluted the camera and it faded to black for a few seconds.
When it came back to light it was an image looking up at a tall tower circling around it and entering the building next to it. There was a continuous shot that was sped up as he walked through the line entering an elevator which literally had a glass floor.
“Wo-” The camera was pointed down at Midoriya's shoes as he hesitated to stand on the glass patch. His foot made contact before he quickly stepped back, “Nope, no, nope,”
Ochako laughed and sank back into her bed. The elevators opened and there was a shot of large windows showing the expanse of the city. The footage sped up as Midoriya did a clean circle around the tower showing it was a loop to give a 360 degree view of Auckland. It was pretty with rolling hills and she could see forests at the edge of it. Honestly it was small compared to the cities she was used to but that made sense given what Midoriya had said earlier.
“Look at this,” The footage went back to normal speed as Midoriya focused on a chart comparing the heights of different towers, “It’s half as tall as the sky tree,”
And that was given the giant antenna on the top.
“Come check this out it’s pretty cool,” Midoriya walked down the steps until he was right next to the window, a few steps more and he came to a patch in the floor that was just glass like the elevator. Midoriya noticeably stood back from it, “It says here that the glass is just as thick and strong on the floor, so reasonably logically,” Ochako snorted, “It should be just the same as walking on the floor… they say that but…”
Midoriya switched the camera around to focus on him, looking a bit pale.
“This might shock you but I’m not really a fan of heights,” He shuddered and shook himself out, “Alright I can do this,”
What followed was a frankly painful process that Ochako couldn't help but laugh at. Midoriya would approach the glass before backing off. He set the camera up on the railing so it looked down enough that she could see the glass and street below. Midoriya tried a bunch of stuff like walking up without looking down. That didn't work and he backed out several meters before he had even reached the glass thinking he was standing on it. He tried to sit down and scoot onto it but couldn't manage more than sitting far from the edge and putting his feet on it. Ochako started howling with laughter when a kid came by running up and jumping on the glass while Midoriya looked on with fear like they were mad.
Midoriya at least had a humor about it. 2D sketches drawn over the video to help exaggerate his struggle and the entire thing filmed rather comically.
Ochako was beginning to believe he had photoshopped the image earlier before he grabbed the camera taking a deep shuddering breath.
“I can do this, I promise I can do this,” He sat down and shuffled back cringing all the way. Ochako found herself strangely proud as Midoriya actually made it onto the glass. He was white knuckled reaching up to hold the railing. He smiled shakily at the camera before turning into a more genuine look of triumph. That was until he quickly rolled off it jumping to his feet and scurrying away, “There! Done! I did it!”
He was smiling brightly now and Ochako couldn't deny she was proud of him. She had struggled herself with heights something she was forced to get over to use her quirk so she knew just how hard that can be.
“Gosh I hope that's easier than what I’m about to do,” Midoriya spun around to show a different window wires running outside and inside a countdown that was about to hit one. It did and there was a blur outside Ochako belatedly realised it was a person. Oh no.
“Now I’m not going to do that but I am going to do something pretty cool,” Ochako blew a sigh of relief but also wanted to hit him for scaring her like that. Under no circumstances should he be jumping off buildings.
They lapsed into another montage Midoriya going back downstairs. This time he had the courage to put a foot on the window in the elevator. Downstairs he went into another area donning a coat and sort of jumpsuit before layering harnesses over the top. He went up an elevator with a few other people this time. They stepped out into another room Midoriya carefully keeping the window out of frame to keep the grand reveal. Their harnesses got latched on and secured to a railing. Once everything was safe the doors pushed open revealing Auckland city, this time not hidden behind glass.
Midoriya skipped over the likely long process of gaining the courage to go outside cutting instead to him smiling with the city at his back and wind whipping through his hair.
“Welcome to the top!” Midoriya yelled over the wind, the audio quality was bad but that was understandable. She felt worse for Midoriya who was smiling through the fear, “It’s really cold and windy up here and I’m scared!”
“Just go back down you idiot,” Ochako huffed fondly as he kept shouting to be heard over the wind.
“I’m kinda afraid of dropping my camera honestly,” Midoriya laughed but she couldn't hear it, instead he pointed in to a few specific spots across the city, “See those hills? Most of those are actually remnants of volcanoes, you see Aucklands kinda built on top of a giant pit of Magma,”
Midoriya quickly grabbed back onto the railing, slowly shuffling along the sky walk, higher than he had been inside.
“Luckily the volcanoes in this area are dormant, cause if one in this area erupts there's a pretty good chance like 50 more are gonna follow,”
Midoriya stayed up there for a little longer pointing out interesting things in the distance. Ochako could safely say she was glad when he cut back to the bottom of the sky tower. His hair was windswept and cheeks red from windchill. Ochako didn't even need to check the comments to know most of them were gushing about how cute he was.
“That was… terrifying, but I’m glad I did it, who thinks I should try skydiving next?” Midoriya grinned, before his face dropped and paled again, “God please no that was a joke,”
Ochako giggled relaxing back in bed again after the tension of the skywalk Midoriya had been leaking through the screen dissipated.
“Anyway I’m just gonna go lie down for a while until some friends of mine get here, then we’ve got one more surprise,” Ochako hoped he hadn’t changed his mind and was going to jump off the building after all, she didn’t want to see him have a literal heart attack.
The video cut to Midoriya smiling at the camera again. He had a lot more color to him now and his hair was somewhat tamed. In his defence he had apparently got off and 11 hour flight then walked around 300 meters in the air it was allowed to be messy.
“So the person meeting me is Gemma, I mentioned her earlier, and a few other friends but their camera shy so you probably wont see them,” Midoriya was bouncing in place gaze constantly drifting away from the camera, “This is our first time meeting in person so I’m kinda excited kinda dreading if this has all just been some elaborate joke and I’m about to get stood up or worse,”
“Who hurt you and who do I need to kill?” Uraraka whispered, fully prepared to throw down the gauntlet for a youtuber she had only just discovered.
Luckily for them Gemma and his other not seen friends were spared her wrath. The camera shot was from far away so she couldn't hear or see anything in detail but it clearly showed the two running up to hug each other Midoriya pulling back to excitedly chat. Gemma matched his enthusiasm, sparkles trailing her arms as she made wide sweeping gestures.
“Here everyone say hi to Gemma,” The shot changed to frame the two of them, Gemma waving the motion sending more glittering sparkles falling from her hand and landing on Midoriya’s shoulder.
“Oh no-” Gemma stepped back to look at Midoriya the front of his shirt was covered in lingering sparkles along with his face and hair. Midoriya looked down at himself a little shocked as Gemma covered her face groaning into her hands, “I’m so sorry, I swear they fade out,”
She scrubbed her hands down her face, unaffected as her whole body shone lightly with subtle sparkles.
“I love it,” Midoriya grinned, twirling a bit to show there was a band of sparkles across his back from where her arms must have come around him. He was quite a bit shorter than her so his face also looked like someone had blown glitter in it, it just made his smile all the more dazzling.
“So you know where we’re going for dinner?” Gemma was looking at the camera but clearly asking Izuku.
“Up the tower again!” Midoriya beamed and really him plus sparkles was too unfair a combination.
This time in the elevator Gemma stood proudly on the window as Midoriya yelled at her.
“Are you crazy?!”
“Crazy you say?” At that Gemma jumped up and Midoriya let out an unholy screech as the elevator shuddered, she laughed but it was teasing not cruel. Ochako could make out the vague reflection of someone patting Midoriya on the shoulder and another person's arm came into frame to swat at Gemma.
When they reached the top Midoriya did not focus too much on the view, already having shown it. They stepped into a nicely decorated restaurant, but what was interesting was when Midoriya demonstrated that it was slowly spinning so the patrons could enjoy the view without leaving their table.
“Do you think they could speed it up?” Gemma asked, she was sitting next to Midoriya, both had their backs to the window so Ochako had a clear shot of it.
“Like a dangerous merry go round?” Midoriya questioned, the sparkles still clung to his cheeks and eyelashes.
“Exactly!” Gemma gave him finger guns, that matched her real guns. She may be sparkly but without the coat Ochako could now see she was ripped, “Also the dangerous is redundant,”
“What kind of merry go rounds-” Midoriya cut himself off as a waiter walked by, “... anyway I don’t think thats a good idea, given that the points to you know, eat,”
“Thats just what makes it more fun,” Gemma waved off.
“Uh-huh,” Midoriya raised an eyebrow skeptically before turning to the camera, “Hope you guys don’t mind but I wont be doing much food reviewing this dinner, I’ll show it off but-”
“This is a night for us to celebrate, later losers,” Gemma saluted, Midoriya squeaked telling her off before cutting the video off. Ochako laughed glad for Midoriya that his nerves had been wrong.
As promised he showed a few shots of some fancy looking food. Ochako wondered how much she would have to save up for her and her parents to eat there, not as much as the flights of course… hopefully.
The camera placed on the table showed the scenery slowly revolving outside, getting darker and lights turning on as the sun set. By the time they were getting up to leave it was fully dark outside and Midoriya spared a moment to linger on a shot of Auckland at night.
“Izuku don’t forget your bag,” Gemma called as she shrugged on her jacket, also glittery.
“Thank-” The camera whirled around to where the bag should be. There was a slight ridge dividing the circle of the restaurant that spun and a ledges lining the outside where all the supporting beams were, “Oh sh-”
The camera started shaking as Midoriya ran through the restaurant. The shot switching to another camera that caught Midoriya as he ran the other way almost bowling over a waiter and profusely apologising. All the while you could hear Gemma and several others laughing off screen.
“Oh? Look what we have here,” Gemma moved the camera to focus on a spot as the restaurant turned around, a bag coming into view that Gemma scooped up. It was probably Midoriya's seeing as it had a couple of All Might pins and Ochako wasn’t sure how popular he was internationally.
Gemma set up the camera to focus on the opposite direction Midoriya ran. It caught the moment he came around the other side, still staring worriedly at the window. Gemma whistled sharply gaining a few glares but a relieved look from Midoriya as she held up his bag.
They left the restaurant with a few apologies at the other patrons for being loud. When the camera switched it was back on Midoriya but Ochako caught a glimpse of Gemma shimmering in the background waiting around.
“Alright that's all for today,” Midoriya smiled, Ochako stomped down the slight disappointment resolving check out his other videos from his easiness and confidence on screen Midoriya must have been at this awhile, “I’m going to be touring all over the country so stay tuned for the series, I haven't showed you nearly how beautiful New Zealand is, I hope I can make it down to the south island too cause they have some really pretty scenery, for now I’m going back to the hotel and crashing hard, see ya!”
The video signed off to the end cards a recommended video and link to Gemma’s apparent channel that looked like some sort of fitness channel with how she was lifting weights in it. Ochako promised herself to check it out.
For now she subscribed to Midoriya’s channel checking the time to see if she could squeeze in another before going to bed. She was feeling like she could get away with it. The change in pace revitalising in a way. But really she attributed that to Midoriya’s natural cheer and charisma. Somewhere in there she had allowed herself to relax and get swept up in this dorky kids mundane adventure. It was exactly the kind of thing she wanted her parents to experience one day.
This was exactly what she had become a hero for, and now graduation was within her grasp. She just had to push a little more and then she would be out in the world able to do some good for her family and everyone else.
Ochako smiled at the screen, resolving to get some sleep and maybe she could squeeze in another video tomorrow morning. Before she turned off her phone Ochako glanced at the channel's name, snorting to herself. It was perfect.

Maybe a Secret Saturday and DP crossover with the Fenton's being approached to join the Secret Scientists. The parents are quickly deemed too biased against ghosts to join until further notice. Their kids, on the other hand. The son's not quite a scientist, but he has potential. And their daughter would be perfect.
“Remind me why I’m doing this again?”
Doc gave Zak a look. “Because the Secret Scientists need new members. Potential members need to be screened by existing members. And the Fentons have kids your age.”
Zak raised a skeptical eyebrow. “I don’t exactly get along with ‘kids my age.’” It was true. Ulraj and Wadi were exceptions to the rule, and even interactions with them had been rough at first. It had been four years since he met them, and they were still just about his only friends.
Zak just didn’t do ‘normal’ very well. Sure, he could integrate himself into a group for the sake of information gathering, but that usually didn’t last very long. Thirty minutes, tops.
“I know,” said Doc. “But sometimes people will say things to and around kids that they wouldn’t otherwise, and we want to be thorough. Make sure we’re inviting ethical people. No more Abbies.”
“I guess that makes sense,” said Zak. He sighed. He knew Fisk wouldn’t be able to come. Most of the time, they were able to get away with people assuming he was a guy in a suit, or just ignoring him in favor of much more obvious, more immediately dangerous cryptids, but that wouldn’t be something they could get away with when it came to prolonged contact.
It never seemed fair to Fisk.
(Cryptids always seemed to get the short end of the stick. Even the ones who were as intelligent as any human.)
“You don’t have to be friends with them,” said Doc, putting a hand on Zak’s shoulder. “Just like we don’t have to accept the Fentons into the Secret Scientists... But give it a chance?”
“Okay,” said Zak, shrugging. “A chance.”
.
Danny loved his parents. They loved him. He knew that they were brilliant scientists who had made incredible breakthroughs in a difficult and poorly regarded field. They deserved recognition and funding. They had no colleagues with whom to correspond or test ideas with. They had no real friends. They deserved that, too.
All in all, Danny thought they deserved the position in the think tank that was about it interview them.
But Danny felt sick at the idea of them spreading their biased and hateful theories about ghosts to yet another group. He hated the very thought of even more people, more scientists, more people who were trying to do good in the world, calling him and the other ghosts evil just because of the way they existed.
But he didn’t know how to stop it. Not without revealing himself, and he was too much of a coward to do that.
... Maybe he could convince their kid he was a jerk?
Ugh, no. As inconsiderate as he could be unintentionally, he was incapable of being a jerk on purpose. Unless the person deserved it.
(Jazz had once theorized that it had to do with his ghostly Obsession of helping others. Danny theorized that not all aspects of his personality had to do with him being a ghost. Jazz had dropped the theory shortly thereafter.)
He was worried.
Could pull a Harry Potter and drop a cake on someone’s head. Would that work?
Unlikely.
There was one option, but it was a bit of a longshot. He could tell the interviewers that he had doubts about his parents’ work and conclusions. But would they believe him? He was just a teenager. Easy to dismiss.
What if he approached them as Phantom?
(What if they were just as gun-happy as his parents?)
This was hard.
He sighed, and swung himself off his bed. Regardless of what he actually did, he needed to make himself ‘presentable,’ otherwise he’d never hear the end of it.
Although, concerning his appearance and his secrets... He tugged lightly on the lock of gray hair he’d sprouted lately. It had become a nervous habit. One he really needed to stop, because drawing attention to white hair on his head was not something he wanted to do.
Maybe be should start dying his hair?
“Danny?” called Maddie from downstairs. “The Saturday’s are here! Come on down!”
Danny clattered down the stairs, being loud on purpose (the better to be undetected when he wanted to be quiet).
The Saturdays... Huh. Danny had not expected to ever see another family wearing jumpsuits. Much less orange jumpsuits. Jack looked overjoyed.
The Saturdays’ jumpsuits looked just slightly more combat ready, however. Danny’s stomach, which had already been sitting rather low in his chest, plummeted.
He did not foresee this going well in any way, shape, or form.
He forced himself to turn his attention towards the son. Who was color coordinated with his parents, but not, thankfully, wearing a jumpsuit.
(Interestingly, he did, however, appear to be armed.)
“Hi,” said Danny, waving slightly in greeting.
“This is our son, Danny,” said Maddie. “Our daughter, Jazz, is at a study group right now, but she should be home before too long. Danny, this is Doctor Solomon Saturday, his wife, Drew, and their son, Zak.”
Zak smiled at Danny in a slightly strained, awkward way. His teeth were just a little sharper than human average. There were flecks of orange and gold in his eyes.
This was a person who wasn’t quite human.
Maybe this would be easier than Danny thought. He tugged on his lock of white hair. “Prematurely grey buddies, huh?” he said.
“Oh,” said Zak, touching his own, much larger, tuft of white hair. “Yeah. I guess so.”
“Um,” said Danny, acutely aware of all the parental eyes on him. “Video games?”
“Sure,” said Zak.
“Great,” said Danny. “Let’s go.”
.
Zak followed Danny upstairs.
He was 99% certain the other boy wasn’t entirely human. He wasn’t sure if it was simply intuition, or some remnant of his Kur powers, but he would put money on it. If, well, he had anyone who’d bet with him.
(Doyle, maybe, but Doyle wasn’t here.)
(Where had this intuition been with Argost? That’s what he wanted to know.)
“So,” said Danny, rocking slightly. “Do you play Doom?”
“Now and then,” said Zak. “Kinda prefer older games.”
“How old?”
“Uh... I kind of like the pokemon games on the 64?”
“Oh, yeah, I’ve got a couple of those,” said Danny. “Um.” He flopped down in a beanbag chair. “Just... make yourself at home, I guess?”
“Thanks,” said Zak, managing to catch the controller Danny tossed at him and sitting in the desk chair.
“So...” said Danny, not making a move to turn on the system. “This is going to be weird to ask, but, um. Do your parents know you’re not totally human?”
Zak stared. He... hadn’t expected Danny to be able to tell that he had been Kur, much less come right out and ask him about it.
“Or... you know what, forget I said anything. It’s just a joke, haha, so, games-”
“Do yours know?”
Danny frowned. “That you’re not human?”
“No, that you aren’t human.”
Danny looked away. “No,” he said, fiddling with the controller. “They’re not... very good about that kind of stuff. If your parents are, that’s good. It’s just...” He rubbed the cord of the controller between his fingers. “Mom and Dad are great at the technical side of things, but they don’t like being wrong. And they think ghosts are unfeeling and mindless, so...”
“Oh,” said Zak. “Um. Are you,” he stopped, realizing that asking someone if they were dead was probably not a great idea. He slumped down in his seat. “I’ll tell my parents.”
“Yeah, if you could not tell them about me and just, like, the other bit, that’d be great.”
“I can do that,” said Zak.
.
Jazz carefully placed an envelope under the windshield wiper of the Saturdays’ car. Knowing her brother, he was probably going to try something dramatic, but if these people were serious about being scientists, she was sure they would take evidence and data regarding the intelligence of ghosts much better.
And Danny had thought he was just humoring her when he helped her interview those ghosts! Thought she had no other motives other than curiosity!
Well. Honestly, he was right. Back then, she didn’t know there was a think tank considering inviting her parents to join.
But, hey, it came in handy, didn’t it?
.
“It’s such a shame,” said Drew, writing her recommendation against the Fentons joining the Secret Scientists. “They seemed like such nice people.”
“Yeah, but if both their kids are telling us they shouldn’t be let in,” said Zak, “and they don’t even know about the Secret Scientists, they think you’re just part of a think tank, how nice can they really be?”
Drew made a face, and reached over to give Zak a quick hug, which he just as quickly escaped.
“The daughter, though,” said Doc. “She has a good foundation, here, with her research.”
“Maybe once she graduates high school,” said Drew. “We have scholarships, don’t we? Or maybe an internship... Cryptid psychology might interest her...”
“What about Danny?” asked Zak, yelping as Fisk snuck up behind him and poked him.
“Hrrade hhr hrend?” said Fisk, slyly.
Zak narrowed his eyes. “Maybe,” he said.
“We’ll keep an eye on them,” promised Doc. “All the Fentons. Just in case.”

MIRACULOUS LADYBUG FUTURES
disclaimer - this is just my opinion obviously none of this is canon :)
Marinette - Ya’ll already know this girl went on to build herself an entire fucking fashion empire. After defeating hawkmoth and getting with Adrien she goes off to fashion uni and later builds a company from the ground up. Her and adrien get married and have 3 kids. She travels quite a bit for work but it’s cool because that means her and adrien get to visit their friends more often and the kids get to experience all different cultures.
Adrien - After defeating hawkmoth he gets with Mari and realised that he doesn’t have to do shit for his dad anymore. He goes to uni and gets a degree in science-y stuff (i feel like this boy is probably really nerdy we just don’t talk about it). He becomes a researcher for science-y stuff but when he and Mari have their first kid he becomes a stay-at-home dad.
Alya - Once again, we all know this girl is gonna become a reporter. She goes to uni, gets a degree in journalism, and then moves to New York with Nino (her fiancé of 2 years). She becomes a top notch reporter in New York and eventually her and Nino settle down, move back to Paris, and have 2 kids. Obvi she stays in contact with Mari and they meet up whenever they can.
Nino - Mans becomes a Dj. He doesn’t go to uni unlike his friends he in fact gets a internship at a record label company (basically like becca in pitch perfect). When he and Alya move to New York he works in clubs doing Dj shit and he works gigs all over New York.
Luka - Obviously Luka becomes a musician. He starts up a rock band and he hits it big at 19. He never goes to uni and instead chooses to go on tour with the band and they basically become mega famous. He is still in contact with Mari and they meet up whenever they’re in the same country. He gets married in his 30’s to a girl he met on the road. They adopt 2 kids.
Chloe - My girl Chloe finally gets over herself at age like 17. She realises that she’s a bitch and she changes her ways. Her and Sabrina fell out ages ago but she attempts to rekindle their friendship after she sorts her own shit out. She goes to therapy for a lil bit to help her sort out her need to be adored by everyone cause of her parents fucked up marriage. She comes back stronger than ever and she goes on to Uni to get a business degree. She starts off as an assistant at a big company but she slowly works herself up the ladder and becomes CEO at 32. She’s proud of herself. She gets herself a gentle giant of a boyfriend who supports her through her tantrums. They never get married.
Sabrina - Sabrina finally ditched Chloe at 16. She realises her worth and she grows up. She goes to uni and gets a degree in law. She becomes a defence attorney and slowly but surely rekindles her relationship with Chloe. They never go back to being as close as they were. But they keep in contact and meet up for coffee whenever ever they’re free. She lives the single pringle life for a while but eventually settles down with the barista she gets coffee from every morning. They have 1 kid.
Kagami - Kagami is kinda tricky because I can honestly see her becoming an amazing professional fencer and shit but idk whether or not I want her to drop her mother like Adrien did with his dad. If she were to be a fencing champion I imagine she would do it for herself and that she would enjoy it. Her and Adrien would see each other from time to time for a friendly fencing match, and sometimes she would meet up with Adrien and Marinette for coffee but apart from that she wouldn’t really see anyone else much. She accidentally falls in love with her rival and they have an enemies to lovers romance that ends in them married.
Max - He gets a scholarship to a really smart school and becomes a robotics engineer. He sees his mum whenever she’s back from outer space and he stays in contact with Kim and Alix. He never marries cause my mans is aro/ace.
Kim - He gets a sports scholarship and becomes an olympic swimmer. He and that swimmer girl break it off after high school and he doesn’t get into another serious relationship for a while until after uni. He settles down with her after his swimming days are over and they don’t have any kids.
Alix - She goes to uni for art but drops out her 2nd year. She travels for a while, a lot of hitch hiking and couch surfing and she starts up a vlog channel. She goes back to uni in her mid 20’s and gets a degree in art-history. She moves back home with her family and she takes on the museum. She never gets married.
Juleka - My girl gets scouted for modelling after a bunch of pictures of her modelling Mari’s designs when they were in college go viral. She moves out at 17 to go work for a big modelling company. She waits for Rose to finish Uni and then they go around the world for a few years. She becomes a big time model and becomes known for collaborating with Mari. Her and Rose get married in their mid 20’s and they have 2 kids.
Rose - She goes to Uni to get a degree in music. After uni her and Juleka go travelling for Juleka’s work and whilst they’re around Rose writes lyrics in her spare time. Writing is more of a hobby but she does end up writing a few songs for Juleka’s work and for favours and stuff. She never gets very big. They have twins, a boy and a girl.
IM NOT SURE ABOUT MYLENE AND IVAN BUT I CAN IMAGINE THEM OWNING A LIL MUSIC SHOP IN PARIS AND HAVING 4 KIDS.
ALSO PS- LILA IS A BITCH AND IM NOT INCLUDING HER BECAUSE SHES GONNA STILL BE LIVING WITH HER MOTHER IN HER 30s

title: half doomed and semi-sweet
word count: 5308
summary: Idia's bad luck comes back to haunt him again, being dragged into physically showing up to class and being assigned a group project involving a student from a different year, courtesy of Mr. Trein. His... "best friend", Kero Tricarenia, sees his distress in the situation, and swoops in to save him, though that might be what actually ends him instead of the project...
commissioned by @chibichibisha , available on ao3 here ! tysm for the commission, i hope you like it! you have no idea how excited i was to write kero asjkdfsf-
my guidelines for commissions are here, in case anyone else is interested !
Of course that in the day Idia is made to actually show up to class, something like this happens.
The fact that it’s Trein’s class just makes it somehow worse. Of course, it’s not all bad, he gets to see Lucius napping on the teacher’s desk—! ...but, he also gets to be pestered by Cater the second he’s walking in, and then the second he’s walking out, plus, just the presence of all these people… Idia shudders just thinking about it.
He pulls his hoodie closer to his face, trying to shield it in vain. He just wanted to go back to his room. Trein was the worst for making him actually show up. He’d been attending classes through the tablet for so long, what was the issue with today specifically? Why couldn’t he just do it the way he always does? He just doesn’t get it—
“Before class is dismissed,” Trein starts in that voice of his, commanding yet with a hint of a drawl that makes Idia want to delve into eternal slumber. “I have an announcement to make. Due to recent events, the headmaster has assigned the teachers the task of building… teamwork, and solidarity, between students, even the ones in different years, and I’ve been chosen to apply that, so your monthly History assignment will work somewhat differently this time.”
Great. Awesome. These were his favorite words in the whole world. As if today couldn’t get any worse.
“I’ll need you to gather a pair or trio with students from different years, to build a mockup representing a historical event of your choosing. You’re supposed to inform me of your groups until tomorrow's class, and the deadline will be held two weeks from now, on February 13th. You’ll be presenting your works the day after.”
Idia feels the clammy hands of dread on both his ankles, threatening to pull him under. Of course this would get worse somehow. He exhales a deep sigh, burying his face on his hands… he’d have to email Mr. Trein about doing the assignment by himself later. And it’d be such an unpleasant conversation, with how he insisted on having students follow all these traditional learning methods.
Really, why the hell were they getting group projects now, out of all things? They had one foot out of school, basically. Fourth year barely had any classes, most of the students’ times filled up with internships and research so what did they get out of trying to “develop teamwork skills” within their students? None of these people would be talking to each other by the time they graduate, anyways… they were wasting resources to max out a stat that didn’t matter.
He tugs the hood of his jacket over his face again as he walks out of the classroom, sneaking outside like he’s avoiding to get scolded — The blue glow of his hair insisting on sticking out, Idia feels his heart race and squeeze while he makes his way across the crowded hallways. He swears he hears Cater’s voice calling for him as he leaves, too… but maybe he’s just making it up, because of how especially cursed he feels today.
What an awful morning, really. At least locking himself up with that MMO he’s gotten hooked on recently would feel even more cathartic.
After the nerve-wracking walk, Trein’s words poking at him like imps with their tridents — Him trying to figure out how to convince that teacher to let him do everything by himself, no presentation included, without having to actually face the guy — Idia finally gets back to his dorm. Finally.
He releases a breath he didn’t know he was holding — Just like in the fanfics, geez — when he steps into the lounge, though even the mostly vacant blue and white space felt a little oppressive now. Sure, he cared about his dormmates, they were fine people, but they were still people, and what he really needed now, was…
“IDIA!”
...within one second of the click of his door being unlocked, Idia is reminded once again that he never will know peace.
“K-Kero!” He yelps, suddenly overwhelmed by a hug, arms around his entire body squeezing him tight, maybe too tight— It’s a second before he remembers this is in fact supposed to be his room. “W-Wait, what are you doing here? That’s my room!”
Unleashed from the mighty grip, red eyes meet Idia’s as Kero’s head tilts, a smile on his face flashing his sharp teeth.
“I know that! I was looking for you.” He just announces, following right behind with that skip on his step as Idia enters and locks the door behind them. He hadn’t seen Kero in… how long, now? It’d been a while, that much he knew. Idia had been busy lately, with… “You finished that tournament yesterday night, right? How did you do? I got you that cake from the cafeteria you like to celebrate!” His questions are rapid-fire, tail wagging as he rushes towards Idia’s unmade bed to pick up the little packaged treat he’d gotten.
“You don’t even know how it went yet, but you’re already getting your hopes up.” Idia grumbles, but the second the package is placed on his hands, he does gracefully accept it. “Well, my team did win, so…”
“Yes! I knew you would!” Kero cheers, grinning again as he sits on his bed. He’s… so full of energy it’s hard to watch, Idia would say.
But, well, that would kind of be a huge lie.
“Yeah, thanks for leaving me be for a bit so I could practice.” He mutters, moving to sit on his desk chair. The package makes a crinkling plastic noise while he messes with it, opening it to reveal a slice of strawberry shortcake — That has him glancing at Kero for a second, a fuzzy feeling taking over.
...because that’s just what his emotions do now.
It was stupid, Idia’s sighing tiredly just thinking about it — When it started was beyond him, but for some reason or another, something keeps pulling him towards Kero. It’s not exactly a big deal, some sort of soul-binding string of fate or something like that, but even when he’s not there physically, Kero lingers, flashes of sharp teeth and boisterous laughing in Idia’s mind. It’s not a big deal! But it’s like Kero had hanged around him so much he left a mark.
And Idia doesn’t really hate that. He stares at the cake in his hands, and thinks of Kero smiling as he got it for him, without any sort of request, just because he saw the cake and remembered that he liked it, and his mind stresses just how much he doesn’t hate that.
(...well, it was a sort of doomed thing, they would never move on from this strange affectionate friendship, because Idia isn’t going to… tell Kero he’s crushing on him, or anything like that. That’d just screw everything up. And what he has now isn’t actually bad at all. Really, it’s fine if Kero never understands. It’s fine. )
“Are you… good, though? Do you need anything?” Kero asks, snapping him out of the messy daydreams with another good natured tilt of his head — He’s a dog alright. “You… just look kinda gloomy and stuff.”
Idia snickers, shaking his head. “Yeah, like I ever look different.” He mumbles, and takes a bite of cake. It’s sweet, he thinks, making a surprised noise as he wonders when the last time he had it was… he licks some whipped cream off his fingers. “Mm, this time is different though. Something with a group project from Mr. Trein… tires me out just to think about it.” He sighs. But Kero’s ears perk up, pointing straight upwards.
“Oh! That, yeah. He told 2-D about it today too.”
“Yeah. This sucks. I’m just gonna… find a way to work by myself.” Idia shakes his head, sinking on his chair a little further. He bites into the cake again. “You think Mr. Trein knows how to read emails?” He snickers, but the thought of having to meet him face-to-face makes his skin crawl. “...ugh, I d-don’t wanna have to talk to him during office hours…”
Kero hums in slightly concerned acknowledgement, plopping down on his bed with attentive eyes. Idia finds himself in a weird wondering of how it felt like to sit down when you were a beastman. Did it hurt his tail or something? It’s wagging against the mattress, though. His ears point to opposite sides while he looks up vaguely. Idia muses about what he might be thinking about.
“Well, you could always do it with me! They said to get one of your underclassmen, right.” Kero suggests, and… Idia swears he sees his tail wag a little harder, but that could very well just be a trick of the light. “I can do the presentation too, and I’m good with building things, so…” He grins. “Plus, you won’t have to… talk to Mr. Trein.”
Idia hums through a mouthful of cake. Well, doing the project with Kero would certainly be better than with someone he didn’t know. However, it’s…
His eyes linger on Kero’s expectant form on his bed, smiling so cheerfully. He’s very aware of the couple feet of distance between them right now, and even like this, Kero’s presence does things to his heart… that’s bad, so bad, he thinks, it’s hard to ignore how his heartbeat is just a tad faster now, summed with this different flavor of nervousness that just seemed to simmer in his blood now… yeah, it’s no good.
“I m-mean, I guess I wouldn’t mind that.” Is what he stutters out. Kero beams.
Stupid cute Kero. This isn’t helping Idia convince himself none of this is a big deal.
“Yeah! If you’re doin’ a project you might as well do it with your best friend, right?” He says. Here he is again with the best friend talk… oh, if only he knew. “We can have fun with it too. Actually, I can have fun with everything as long as I’m with you, heh.”
Idia feels heat creeping up his neck. Stupid cute Kero! “Ugh, you d-don’t gotta be embarrassing about it.” He mumbles, eyes averted. The cake finished with one last bite, Idia places the empty package on his desk, licking leftover cream off his fingers again. “We’re just putting some annoying mockup together. It’s not a big deal. If we add some simple machines to it to make it cooler it’ll already be higher-res than everyone else’s, it’s just an easy A. Everyone else’s just gonna use magic, I bet.”
“Yeah, obviously. I mean it doesn’t have to be annoying, though.” Kero comments. “We’ve gotta choose a historical event, right? Do you have any ideas?”
“Uhhh. The industrial revolution of the Isle of Lamentation? That’s… pretty much all I paid attention to this year, anyways.” He shrugs. Trein’s classes were boring, naturally. And they were so early in the morning, too… his tablet may have been there most of the time, but Idia himself was passed out on his bed.
“I think that works! We’ll have to make a bunch of stuff for the machines. But that’ll be fun.”
Idia hums. He’s thinking about these machines, actually, the miniature factories they could put together. The blueprints begin to write themselves up rather quickly. “We’d blow their little minds if we just had some… smoke coming out of the chimneys, some gears spinning around. Fuhihi, our mockup might be the best.” With his head in the clouds — Or the laboratory, rather — he finds himself grinning, waving a finger in the air. “Hey, Kero, what do you th… huh?”
And Kero isn’t on his bed anymore. He’s right there, in front of him.
Before Idia can say anything about this (Kero right in front of him, leaning in closer, he feels so cornered, his heart might stop!) Kero leans in even further, a big hand coming up to his face and (He’s going to die, definitely, he’ll die right here.) and he wipes off some whipped cream from near Idia’s lips.
“You had some on your face! Heheh.” He chuckles, licking it off his thumb. Idia feels like his blood pressure has just plummeted, or… or maybe it just did the opposite, how is he supposed to tell? His face feels so hot there’s no way his brain is getting the proper oxygen at all, he can barely think—!
“G-Give me a warning before you do something like this!” Idia wheezes, high pitched like a squeaky toy, and Kero just laughs again, grinning with this hint of mischief. “I didn’t even see you move!”
“Yeah, ‘cause you were distracted? I’m happy you’re excited about the project, though. I think it’s cute.” He says outright, and Idia… Idia just puts his hands on his face, averting his eyes with intent. Why does Kero have to be... so... much? “C’mon, you can sit with me on the bed. We can talk better like this.” A strong hand grabs at his wrist, easily looping around it as he pulls at Idia, making him squeak again as he’s dragged towards the bed.
“This doesn’t even make any sense!” Idia complains, but Kero tugs him towards the bed with no effort at all, and he just accepts his fate, huffing like it’d ease the warmth crawling all over his face. “Ugh, a-anyway, I was talking about the factories we’d put on the mockup… I thought of having some machines with exposed insides, with the spinning gears would be good, and conveyor belts that function…”
As he launches into explanation, Kero nods, making this unbreakable eye contact. Idia has to stop and take a deep breath every couple minutes, the situation somehow overwhelming. It feels like his condition just got a little worse every day, huh.
(Well, it’s fine. He could just avoid him if things got bad. Though… he doesn’t like thinking about this, recalling the week before the game tournament even. It’s kind of stupid, if he’s just making Idia nervous why does he have this need to keep him around? As expected, emotions make little to no sense...)
“...so, basically that’s what I thought.” Idia ends the explanation. Kero still has his attentive look on his face, almost like it froze there. “Did you pay attention?”
“Nah. I was just looking at you while you talked, ‘cause you looked so pretty.” Kero leans in with a smirk (Can he please stop trying to kill Idia, he’s just gotten down to a normal-ish heart rate again!) that then turns into one of his usual friendly smiles. “Kidding! I did, yeah. Do you wanna start it tomorrow?”
“You…! Uh, um, I don’t know. I wanna play my new game.” He stumbles with speaking, but it still comes out. At least. “We could probably finish that in, what, two days at most? If you don’t mind going to the lab late at night.”
“Roger that. For Idia, I’ll go to the ends of Twisted Wonderland!” He declares, fist thumping against his chest with a proud grin. “I’ll get us your snacks too. Can’t have you going hungry. But now I gotta go to track.”
Idia blinks. Already? He remembers that club meetings do in fact exist. He’d been skipping on his lately so he ended up kind of… forgetting them. Seeing Kero go, though, it’s…
“R-Right, I hope you, uh… enjoy yourself.” He stutters. Then he wants to hit himself on the face, really, what kind of stupid farewell was that? Just say bye and go back to your games, idiot. Luckily, Kero doesn’t seem to mind it.
“Yeah, yeah, I will!” He chimes, getting up from the bed — Leaning down a little, he puts a hand over Idia’s flaming hair, ruffling it to his surprise. “I’ll see you, okay? Literally. I’m coming over again later, ‘cause after all this time I’m not leaving my best friend alone!”
Idia feels frozen in place while Kero pets him, eyes zeroed in on that grin — Before he leaves, and he exhales. Again. That breath he didn’t know he had been holding.
He doesn’t play the game yet. Instead, he lays face down on the bed and screams into the pillow, whatever feelings had been simmering while Kero was around just exploding the second he leaves. Great Seven, he was so stupid. Both of them, actually.
Kero was stupid for not seeing how much this crush was clearly consuming him, and Idia… Idia was stupid for getting involved in any of this at all, in so many ways and for so many reasons, but he just can’t bring himself to stop now.
He swears it’s not that big of a deal. But it’s a lie, obviously. Clearly.
. . .
Once he’s back into his room after practice, Kero shuts his door behind him, and he laughs.
He feels the strain on his body from the running, sure, but every bit of it is somehow also filled with so much energy — With his hands on his face like how Idia does when he’s shy, he grins so much his cheeks hurt with the pulling. His heart won’t stop racing.
Who let him be so adorable!
He knew they’d end up doing this project together, of course. When Trein mentioned it’d involve students from different years, Idia was the first person Kero thought of! But the reality still makes him so giddy. To think he’d have a chance to do a project with him! He’s really been too lucky these days. Trein was… something else, to him, but with something like this, he might be willing to overlook the fact that the guy was absolutely terrifying.
Well, what matters is that he gets some more time with Idia — Even better, they’d be alone together! — The tournament week sucked, straight up. Kero ran some errands for him but it just wasn’t the same! Though he didn’t mind this sort of caretaking either, Idia barely took breaks. He didn’t even tell him much about the game he was playing, actually. Kero was basically crawling up the walls with how bored he’d gotten.
But that’s irrelevant now.
Still grinning and laughing to himself with all that burst of energy running through his skin, Kero hops over to his desk — With how he was, Idia would probably have some blueprints for the machines ready soon, but this was a nice chance to impress. He gathers some parts and tools, and gets to work.
...work that takes longer to complete than it usually does for him, but as expected, through the following days, Idia texts him vague guidelines on what their mockup should be like, ideas and half-baked blueprints that they discuss both through the phone and when he shows up at Idia’s place, and when the fated day of getting together at Ignihyde’s laboratory arrives, he has all those trinkets on his desk. He’s so ready.
ill see you there at 2, Idia’s text reads, bring the stuff i told u to make
Yes, yes, right away! Kero smiles bright as he gathers the miniature machines into a shoe box he’d gotten for them. He can feel his tail wag with excitement even as he carries it through the gloomy late-night corridors.
The door opened with a bang — Oops, he definitely handled it too roughly — Kero chimes as soon as he sets foot into the lab. “Idia!” He calls when he arrives. “I’m here!”
“Eek!” Idia, who was already leaned over the table, spreading scratchy blueprints and machine parts on it, is startled in a jolt. “D-Don’t sneak up on me like this! Geez…”
“Heheh, sorry, sorry.” Kero laughs, setting the box near the other items on the table, which Idia eagerly turns to inspect, complaints or not. Well, if that was the case, he’d inspect Idia for a bit too. He was looking unusual today, after all! Without that heavy jacket of his, wearing his lab wear and striped shirt. Kero’s heart leaps. “You’re looking good today, huh! ‘s unusual to see you looking like this, like… one of these R cards from your gacha games, or something.”
Kero feels proud of himself for the comment — Hey, Idia, look at me, I pay attention to your rambling! But Idia makes an offended noise instead.
“T...The R cards are the common ones, stupid.” He scoffs, giving him a narrow eyed look, but there’s still a soft flush of pink over his cheeks. “Ugh, I can’t believe I let you spend time with me when you don’t know that.”
Well. Kero tried, all he can do is laugh about it. At least he didn’t miss the compliment entirely! “Ehh, you do it ‘cause we’re best friends and you love me!” He says. “C’mon, we should get started on this already.”
“...y-yeah, yeah, whatever.” Idia shakes his head, but when he turns his face towards the table to look at their work in progress, there’s a slight smile on his blue lips that Kero couldn’t possibly miss. “Did you make the conveyor belts? I think I forgot to send you anything on these, couldn’t decide what material would be better for them…”
Moments like these are just so… so everything. Kero can’t find the words to describe how happy he is to be around Idia and be able to say things like that! Though, he feels it’s not exactly enough… even if all of this does feel nice, and he’s grateful for it.
(Well, he has a crush on Idia, that much he knows, so he guesses that’s something to be expected, in a way? He’s heard his classmates talking about the being unable to get enough related to someone so it was just part of it, probably. What they have now is good, straight out of his dreams even! Just… feelings are weird, aren’t they? He keeps wanting more, though he doesn’t know exactly what would sate this hunger.)
“Oh, I did rubber on the top and some of that light metal for the parts. I thought it’d be better if we don’t make it too heavy!” Kero replies, digging around for his own lab gear he’d brought. They might have to do some welding today, so it was always good to be careful.
(Plus, they got to match outftits!)
Idia nods, focused gaze on a miniature engine. “Ohh… huh. That’s good, actually. I think this might be easier than I thought.” He mutters. “We have all the parts to build the interior of the factory… I guess we could put that together tonight, and tomorrow we can get the rest? For the outside, I guess. If we just focus on the factory instead of the, uh, social repercussions or something like that, Trein might deduct points.”
He feels his ears deflate just a little at the teacher’s mention. “Tell me about it.” Idia passes him the engine, a silent command for him to get to work linking it with the other right parts. “Do you want me to get the stuff for the scenery from the store?”
“Yeah, sure. Would be helpful.”
Kero smiles at him, and for a single silent moment they’re putting the machine parts together. Engines and gears and a seemingly endless stretch of conveyor belts, wires and such hidden on the inferior part of the styrofoam slab the mockup was being built on.
“...hey, is that the battery?”
“Yup! Just gotta charge with magic whenever you wanna see it working.”
Idia turns it around on his hands, looking at it from every angle, making a humming noise to himself…
Huh, Kero is suddenly very aware that they’re all alone in that laboratory.
Maybe it’s because of how Idia looks at the small object, or how he touches it with this utmost care one wouldn’t think he has. It’s weirdly easy for other people to assume Idia was lazy, Kero recalls, and it was something he never really understood. He was such a diligent person, actually, but people couldn’t see it right because he didn’t put effort into things people commonly worked hard in. That makes him feel sort of bitter inside, he thinks, but also proud in a way.
He’s the only one who knows Idia this closely, it comes into Kero’s mind, and a smile sprawls across his face.
“...w-what? Why are you looking at me like that?” Of course, Idia notices. The pinkish glow on his face before turns into something more like strawberry red, and… agh, what the hell, Kero’s smile gets bigger.
“It’s ‘cause you’re so cute, of course!” He says without missing a beat. How many times has he called Idia cute now? Far too many to count. But he can’t stop, and it never feels like enough to show just how god damn adorable Idia was to him. It was such a crazy feeling, really.
“Gh… and you’re e-embarrassing, as always.” Idia responds as he averts his eyes. “We’ve gotta finish this as soon as possible, y’know, now’s not the time for...t-this.”
“What do you mean with this?” Kero asks amidst a laugh. Idia looks at him with this cranky sort of expression and his heart feels like it’s about to take off and fly, wow. “You asked me a question and I answered it!”
“Yeah, you answered it while being a jerk.” Idia mumbles, getting back to unscrewing something. Kero doesn’t get what he mean with it exactly but, well, he always says stuff like this.
“I mean it, though! I think you’re really cute.” He says, it’s so easy to say things like that, they end up just coming out on their own, even when he’s trying to put his brain cells back into work like Idia wants him to. “I tell you that all the time! D’you not think you’re cute?”
Idia glances at him with wide eyes. “I...n-no? What in the Lord of the Underworld makes you think I’m c-cute?” He asks, voice almost an octave higher.
Something about this strucks Kero differently. Is that a rhetorical question? It doesn’t matter. He wants to answer.
“Well, do you want me to tell you?” He suggests, and his heart is racing. It takes just a little bit of effort to ask something like this, it’s not quite having to hype himself up for it, but… well. What’s with this mood anyways? Idia’s hands are on his flushed cheeks, gloved fingers ready to cover up his eyes, like he usually does when he’s flustered — And here’s something to add to the list already, wow.
“I-I, um.”
“If you don’t say no I’m gonna tell you.” He looks straight into Idia’s eyes… such a nice shade of yellow, an amber-gold. Kero doesn’t always mean to tease, but now he does. He has a strong impulse to do it, a determination like he’s rushing towards the finish line in track — What sort of face would Idia show him if he told him everything? “Three, two, one…you lost your chance to say no! I’m gonna tell you.”
Idia squeaks like he got jumpscared, but he doesn’t object to any of it. Kero’s excited — He takes a step closer, and takes it upon himself to touch Idia’s hair again, because he absolutely couldn’t get enough of how it didn’t burn him.
“First of all, I know you hate it since it sticks out so much, but your hair is really cute.” He says, tucking a lock of hair behind Idia’s ear, feeling him shrink and tense under the light touch — Would he do that if Kero touched him more? If he wrapped his arms around Idia’s waist and held him close? “It’s so bright and pretty, and the bangs look so nice on you, they’re kinda messy and long but in a way that’s adorable.”
Indulging himself a little further, he lets his hand ghost over Idia’s bangs, brushing them to the side and watching them fall back into place. Idia’s face is fully red now. The hair doesn’t feel like much to the touch since it’s fire, actually, but, something about it…
“Second! You have a cute smile!” Kero chimes. He’s supposed to retract his hand now, but — It just stays on Idia’s cheek. And he finds that he really doesn’t want to take it off there. “When you talk about the things you like, and you get all excited about them and start grinning… it’s really cute, actually. I like it when I see you all full of energy.”
Idia’s eyes dart around. Are his hands shaking? Kero eyes at them briefly, before taking one into his — Unable to stop himself again — and the latex of his glove meets Idia’s, watched by wide amber eyes as he laces their fingers together. Shaking, indeed, but he was able to steady them.
“Third… related to that, how your hands move when you’re rambling. I stare at them a lot. That’s how much I love to see you all excited about stuff.”
His voice had fallen softer. The coldness of the laboratory seems to just fade. Kero’s heart feels…
“Fourth...” He starts, but no words come to him. He just stares at Idia’s face, his eyes, the blue tint of his lips. There’s more to say, obviously, but he can’t think of it, and he— “...can I kiss you?”
Somehow there’s no recoil time, no surprised noise on Idia’s part, and though he loves his shyness and how it shows through, he finds that he loves it even more when he’s expecting something like this, when he wants it. The shaky, uncertain nod is all he needs to give a name to that hunger he’d been feeling.
Ah, he was in love, everything be damned.
Kero doesn’t hesitate. One hand on his cheek and the other holding his, his lips meet Idia’s, his heart now soaring completely. If he looked back on it now he’d probably find it sort of awkward, Idia’s lips are chapped and the sharp teeth felt strange against each other, but none of this matters when he feels so euphoric, when Idia just melts into his kiss, eyes fluttering shut.
He doesn’t know how long it lasts. The brief pauses to breathe aren’t enough to actually do so, but neither of them seem to mind. The held hands unlace, Idia’s coming up to Kero’s neck to urge him closer, Kero’s on Idia’s waist like he’s dreamed.
When they pull away, both breathless, Kero is grinning, and Idia looks dazed, his eyes glossy, at least for a moment before he seems to realize what they’ve just done.
“O-Oh my...we.” He squeaks, freezing in Kero’s embrace. “W-We, we just…”
“Hey, it’s cool!” Kero assures, and he pulls him a bit closer, now causing a small shriek. “I love you, you know.”
“Y-You…” Idia stutters. How long would it be until he was able to string sentences together again? Kero doesn’t have an exact estimate, but, well, this was fine too. Especially as his tension drops, and he hides his warm face on Kero’s shoulder. “...you’re the worst? You’re so embarrassing I could die.”
“That’s a quick recovery, huh.”
“S-Shut up!” Idia whines, but he stays. He stays, and Kero holds him so close that his happiness feels like it’s overflowing, and the cravings from before are just slowly satisfied. “I… I, um.”
“Tell me.” A hand on the side of Idia’s face, he pulls his face upwards, making him look into his eyes again — Would he ever get enough of this, though? They’re so close. “Do you love me too, Idia?”
Idia hesitates, an embarrassed noise leaving him.
“I… I do.” He mutters — And he smiles. “You idiot.”
Kero smiles, his feelings actually overflowing in how he hugs Idia even tighter, and he laughs.
The project could be finished tomorrow, anyways.

the project
pairing: peter parker x female reader
word count: 3.2k
warnings: smut, cursing, teasing, coaxing, pet names, mentions to anatomy, marking, oral(receiving), both characters are of age!
a/n: this was a fic i had posted on my main account @a-dorin, but i am in the process of switching over content so that it is a strictly star wars account! just a disclaimer, i am not plagiarizing or stealing content, as this is my fic!
"today i have an exciting announcement," your chemistry teacher gushed, "since we are right on track for the unit, we will be taking a slight detour in our lesson plans. this whole week, we will be learning all about human chemistry!"
the class groaned, and you turned around to your best friend, nova, "how fucking lame."
she winked at you, "it'll be fun."
"so, to kick off this unit, we will be conducting a project on chemical reactions in the human body. i know you all have lab partners, but to make it fun, i will be drawing names out of a cup. everyone's name is on a slip of paper. i will begin drawing names right now, then we will discuss some of the parameters of the project," your teacher continued, a wide smile on his face.
drawing in a sigh, you glanced around the entirety of the room. m.j., one of your close friends, looked intrigued, as she was sitting next to your best friend, nova. flash looked disgusted, while peter and ned both grimaced to one another.
a part of you was hoping you would be paired up with your high school crush, peter parker. ever since the first semester of your freshman year, you had been attracted to him. he had bumped into you in the hallway between seventh and eighth period, knocking your coffee out of your hand. he apologized profusely, even handing you a ten dollar bill for the next coffee run. ever since then, you wanted to get to know the shy boy.
peter was guarded. extremely guarded. his awkward demeanor didn't help at all. anytime you asked him the simplest question, he got flustered, red-faced and stuttered. part of you wondered if it was because he just wasn't a people person, or if it was because he liked you.
both of you guys had made small exchanges since that encounter, whether it was greeting one another in the hallway, sharing a seat on a bus ride, or giving one another snacks in class. since m.j. was within your friend group, you did get to see peter some, as they were mutual friends.
every girl at your high school adored peter. he was charismatic, charming, and was passionate about his friends and school. also, who was ever offered the opportunity to work alongside tony stark? that was another aspect you adored about peter. whenever you guys did chat, it was usually a vivid, funny story about peter's internship with stark industries. his stories made you laugh every time.
even though peter was short, he was taller than you. his floppy brown curls had all of the girls drooling. his smile was radiant, and his body was amazing. you had snuck glances during gym class. the boy was extremely fit. you figured it was due to his internship with stark industries, or maybe the boy just liked to work out. regardless, his body was extremely attractive.
"(y/n) (l/n)," your chemistry teachers voice rang out, snapping you out of your thoughts, "you will be paired with... peter parker."
you widened your eyes, surprised at what you were hearing. glancing over at peter, you realized he looked just as surprised as you were. even though the class had "random" partners, the chemistry teacher usually paired you up with your friends.
after the teacher finished assigning partners, he cleared his throat, "all right everyone! please sit next to your partner while i hand out the rubrics. m.j., can you please help me pass out the papers?"
peter slid into the seat next to you, clearing his throat, "well, i guess we're partners."
"i don't mind it one bit," you flashed him a wide smile.
"so i'm not entirely sure what this project is," peter mumbled, his eyes focused on the table.
m.j. handed us the rubrics, "i'm not sure if you listened to the entire lecture, dipshit. the project is over chemical reactions in the human body."
peter looked sheepish, "yeah, i got that part. but is there anything in the rubric that states that we need to do?"
"i'm sure it's all in the rubric," m.j. smiled sweetly.
you slid peter a rubric for the project, "hey, i'm really sorry if i'm not ned."
"it's cool," he shrugged, obviously in distress. ned was paired with nova, and they were already working on their project, taking notes.
"how about i give you my number?" you inquired, sliding your phone out of your hoodie pocket, "and you come over tonight so we can get a head start?"
"that sounds good," he nodded, taking your phone and typing the number into his phone, "how about i call you when i'm on my way?"
you smiled, eagerly taking the phone back, "that works. i'm home alone tonight, so even better."
peter blushed, just nodding, "i'll call you later then when i'm on my way."
the bell rang, signifying the end of the period. luckily chemistry was your last class of the day. you walked home, bubbly that peter was coming over tonight. once you arrived home, you took a hot shower, shaved your legs, put on lotion, and threw on some clothes. since it was fall, you opted for an over sized hoodie, paired with black leggings. you sprayed your favorite perfume, ensured your skin looked good, and threw on mascara.
once you were all ready, you straightened up your room. you made your bed, throwing some stuffed animals in the closet. peter never told you a time he would come over, but you assumed it would be later in the evening. by the time you finished cleaning the house, it was about seven thirty-eight. you sighed, a feeling of distress creeping over you. what if peter didn't want to come over? what if he stood you up?
a knock on the door interrupted your thoughts. you fluffed your hair, opening the door. there, stood peter, with a white paper bag in his hand, a two liter of cherry coke in the other, "hey, can i come in?"
"of course," he stepped in, setting his book bag near the door, "what did ya bring me?"
he smiled slightly, "oh, my aunt went down to this deli and picked us up some subs and this soda."
"well," you began, "i'm not too hungry right now. maybe we could start on our project, and eat later?"
"okay," he handed you the bag, "you probably know where to put this."
you took it from him, "yeah, the kitchen is just this way. follow me."
"your house is so nice," peter breathed as he followed you, his voice low.
"thank you," you placed the bag in the fridge, taking the two liter from his hand, "you can thank my dad for that. he remodeled the whole house."
"he did an excellent job," peter peered at the kitchen, his brown eyes taking in the granite island, "this looks like somewhere tony stark would live."
you giggled, "it's not that nice."
"it's nice," he nodded enthusiastically, "your dad must be a genius. like a interior design genius."
"honestly he had this idea for a while," you felt myself smile again, "he just acted on it and made it happen. do you wanna head up to my room?"
peter's eyes widened, and he rubbed the back of his neck, "i mean, yeah, we can do that. for sure."
you had him follow you upstairs to your room, guiding him. once you were in the room, he marveled at all of the posters, polaroids, and lights plastered on the walls. you sat down on the floor, grabbing your laptop. peter sat down next to you, biting his lip anxiously.
"oh shit," he mumbled, "i forgot my laptop downstairs."
"don't worry about it," you placed your hand on top of his, "we just need to do a little bit of research anyways. i was thinking maybe we could just do an oral presentation? or we could do PowerPoint. whatever you wanna do."
"okay," you were sure peter's lip would start bleeding if he chewed it even more than he already was.
as you both locked eyes, you noticed that he had a slight cut on his right cheekbone. you frowned, feeling yourself instinctively place your hand on his cheek, the pad of your thumb gently caressing it. he flinched at your touch, but kept looking at you.
"what happened? you didn't have that earlier today in class." the words tumbled out of your mouth, and you immediately felt nosy for asking.
"oh," he stuttered, "i ran into the door frame at the apartment on my way over here. i guess i was a little excited."
"excited to see me?" you raised a brow, feeling heat rush into your cheeks. a blush spread into your cheeks, and you immediately wanted to cover up your face.
"well," peter shifted nervously, "i mean, i didn't want to be too late, and i heard how you were going to be alone so i didn't want you to be alone, and yeah. um, yeah, i was excited to see you tonight."
you scooted closer to him, and his shyness began to dissolve, as he allowed you to continue to hold his face. you could almost feel his waves of anxiety radiating off of him. he was extremely nervous but you didn't know what about.
"peter," your voice was soft, "are you okay?"
his eyes met yours, “i kinda want to tell you something."
"and that is?" you bit my lip.
"i like you, like a lot. i mean, god you're so beautiful. all of the guys at school talk about you and jesus. i probably act like a fucking idiot all the time around you but god i like you so much. i even ran into the door frame because i was so excited to see you. and maybe you don't like me either but i just can't help but be nervous. i just care about you so much. you're so beautiful. like really really beautiful." all of the words tumbling out of his mouth sounded sincere. his cheeks were burning crimson with embarrassment.
"peter," you murmured, your face dangerously close to his. his bottom lip was swollen from him biting it earlier, "i have feelings for you too."
peter sighed with relief, "that makes me so happy."
"what's our project about again?" your hands felt for your laptop, and you pulled it closer to you two.
"chemical reactions in humans," peter answered, not breaking his gaze away from mine, "i have an idea for research since we haven't found a specific topic yet."
"and that is?" you raised an inquisitive brow.
he scooped you into his arms, laying you on your back on the bed. his lips met yours, kissing you eagerly. you pressed your lips against his, kissing him back, surprised at his rush of confidence. his tongue entered your mouth, the kisses becoming more and more hungry. peter's callused hands roamed your body under your hoodie, making contact with your skin. you shivered, goosebumps covering your body.
peter pulled back for a second, "is this okay?"
kissing him gently, you gave an answer against his lips, "yes, this is more than okay. it's amazing."
his lips pressed against your neck, sucking slightly. you knew there would be hickeys in the morning. you ran your hands through his hair, tugging lightly. he pressed his body against yours, and you could feel his hard on through his joggers. as he kissed down your neck, you palmed him through the fabric. he groaned against your neck, whining slightly.
peter motioned you to sit up, and you obeyed. his gentle fingers slipped the hoodie off your top half. a part of you wondered if he had done this with any other girl before. he slipped off his own shirt, revealing his toned chest and abs. you felt a slight wave of insecurity washing over you, you weren't as near as fit as he was.
peter seemed to sense the shift in your mood, kissing your chest, "stop. you're beautiful. god, i need all of you."
you undid the clasp on your lace nude bralette, letting it fall onto the floor beside the bed. peter widened his eyes, grasping each one of your breasts in his hands. he squeezed gently, unsure of what to do next. his eyes met yours, full of lust. his bottom lip was slightly swollen from the kissing, and his pupils were dilated.
his mouth latched onto your breasts, giving each one of them an equal amount of attention. you laced your fingers into his hair, tugging harder this time as peter sucked, kissed, and licked all over your chest and breasts. the actions were driving you crazy. you could feel how wet you were, even with your leggings still on. as peter continued, you let out a small moan.
"what princess?" peter's voice was husky, "tell me what you want."
"i want you," you whined, "i want you so bad."
"mmm," he hummed, "that's not specific enough, baby. tell me exactly what you want."
"i want your touch so bad," your voice was edged with desire.
"yeah?" his voice was low.
you nodded eagerly, "i need you to touch me."
"as you wish princess," his lips pressed against yours gently.
peter's lips trailed down your stomach, leaving sloppy kisses. he stopped at the waistband of your leggings, his fingers hooking the fabric. he slipped your leggings off, his cheeks tinged red at the sight of your black lace thong.
"are you sure you're ready for it, princess?" peter's eyes met yours.
you bit your lip, nodding. god, he was so hot like this. his fingers delicately took your thong off, casting it to the floor. he took a second to let his eyes roam your body, savoring every inch of it. you felt peter's tongue immediately connect itself to your clit, going in slow, circular motions. you gripped his head, pressing his face into your thighs. that only encouraged him, as he began to suck on your clit. he inserted a finger inside of you, pumping it in and out.
"god," he groaned, "you taste so good baby."
"you're going to make me cum," you moaned, your cheeks hot and jaw slack. even though you had received oral before, peter was by far the best you ever had.
his tongue slowly licked up, taking in all of your pussy. he fingered you, making a hook with his two fingers. you could feel tension building up in you, driving you crazy. your orgasm was coming soon, and peter showed no signs of slowing down. peter wanted nothing more to do this all night if he could.
"you're close aren't you?" peter's breath was hot, "c'mon princess, you're almost there."
he sucked on your clit, squeezing one of your breasts in his hand. his fingers pulled on your nipple, and you felt yourself come undone. your loud moans filled the room, and peter gripped your thighs to keep you on the bed. he licked you until your thighs stopped trembling. once he was finished, he glanced up at you, his cheeks flushed.
you took his hand, sucking on his two fingers. he bit his lip, letting out a small sigh, "i told you that you tasted good."
your eyes drifted down at the sight of his hard on through his joggers. your hand palmed him through the fabric, and pleasure washed over him.
"hey peter," you murmured, "did you bring any condoms?"
his face reddened, "no, i, um. i have some, but not with me."
your fingers latched themselves on the waistband of his joggers, slowly gliding down his legs. he was still hard, his skin hot and his face flushed. his breath hitched in his throat as you pulled down his boxers, your hand wrapping around the base of his cock.
"peter," your eyes met his, "please fuck me."
he almost came at the sound of your words, the innocence in your tone. he pushed you on your back, kissing you hungrily. you felt his tip on your clit, and you let out a small whine.
"what princess?" his voice made the room ten times hotter, "tell me what you want."
"i want you," you whined, your pleas desperate, "i need you to fuck me so bad."
his cock entered you, and you let out a moan of pleasure. peter started with slow, rhythmic strokes, and you could feel all of him as he did so. as he fucked you, you placed wet kisses all over his toned chest and neck.
"you feel so good," peter groaned, his ears burning red. his eyes met yours, and you felt another wave of pleasure wash over you.
peter's lips met yours, his teeth grazing your bottom lip. there was a slight sheen of sweat on his skin, along with yours. he intensified his pace, your nails digging into his shoulder blades as he fucked you senseless. his shyness was now stripped away from him, and you loved it. you loved this moment and everything going on between you so goddamn much.
"i'm gonna cum," peter moaned. he pulled out, finishing on your stomach.
his eyes met yours once again, and you both laid there, taking in the moment. peter's lips met yours for a gentle kiss.
"i'll go grab something to clean this up with," you murmured, about to get up.
"no, you stay here," peter instructed, "just tell me where the bathroom is and i will grab a towel or something."
you gave in, telling peter where the bathroom was. he slipped on his boxers and joggers, and then went to on the search for a towel. he came back, carefully cleaning you up.
hopping off you bed, you grabbed a hoodie, throwing it on, "that was amazing."
he gave you a cheeky smile, "i just wanted to conduct some research."
"and what conclusions did you draw?" you giggled as you searched for a new pair of underwear.
"that one," he began, "you taste good. two, you have a beautiful body. and three, i cannot wait to do that again, baby."
you slipped on new thong, then found a pair of joggers, "how about we just forget the project for the rest of the night then?"
peter scooped you into his arms on the bed, cuddling you, "i don't think that's a bad idea. it's not due for another two weeks anyways."
you pressed your lips against his shoulder, "we'll be alone for another few hours anyways."
"sounds like there's going to be a round two soon then," he chuckled, "by the way, i hope i wasn't bad or anything. it was kind of my first time doing stuff like that."
you felt yourself gasp, "there's no way."
"i was a virgin before tonight so," he murmured, slightly embarrassed.
"don't be shy about it," you gave him a chaste kiss, "it's not something to be ashamed of."
"well maybe i will become experienced enough tonight and we can do our project about human chemistry during sex," peter teased.
"in your dreams, geek," you rolled your eyes playfully, and you felt his lips gently brush against your cheek.
you felt yourself collapse into his arms, feeling a slight wave of exhaustion overwhelm you. his fingers traced your back under the hoodie, and you allowed yourself to close your eyes, content to be in the arms of your boy.
if only you got to spend every night like this with peter.

No More Second Chances: Chapter Six
I honestly have no idea what this chapter is, in my opinion it’s kinda cracky, but yeah leave what ya think, also ask to be tagged and stuff. Btw u proud of me twice in the same month, it’s a miracle. Also it’s a bit on the shorter side.
The Master: Master List
No More Second Chances: Master List
--------------------------------------------
As soon as she left, Damian left and holed himself up in his room. He spent hours doing research on his cru-- friend’s new sister. He realized she fought hard even sometimes when her partner, who he figured out was a blonde model named Adrien Agreste, who may or may not be her boyfriend, decided he didn’t like Adrien, he left her to fight alone too much. She had won some of Gabriel’s competitions before he was sentenced to life in jail for obvious reasons, she was offered an internship with Audrey Bourgeois but had given it up in hopes of finishing high school, she worked as Jagged Stone’s personal designer, probably one of the reasons why Drake recognized her.
He sighed and tried to go to sleep, but his thoughts were just filled with her. He wakes up in a daze, still his thoughts were filled with her. He gets dressed and almost falls down the stairs. He stumbles into the kitchen and grabs a cup of coffee.
“Demon, you good? You hate coffee,” Jason says, opening the fridge.
“Fine, I just didn’t sleep well,” he grumbles into his mug.
“Were you thinking of the magic girl?” Dick asks, entering the kitchen.
“Why would I be thinking about Marinette?”
“Oh? She’s Marinette instead of Dupain-Cheng?” Jason snickers.
“She’s not Dupain-Cheng because she decided she is going by Wang after her parents disowned her,” Damian says, grabbing food.
“Speaking of her being disowned, does she have people lining up to be her parents, or is it like free real estate?” Bruce asks, pouring himself some coffee.
“Bruce, you realize she’s a person, right?”
“Sorry, I know, but I stayed up a majority of the night trying to figure out how to get her in our family,” Bruce yawns.
“The easiest way is Damian to marry her, but that may be as hard as adopting her,” Tim yawns, taking the pot of coffee from Bruce.
“That’s funny and impossible,” Jason laughs.
“What’s so funny about the notion of me dating her?” Damian asks, almost looking offended.
“Do you like her?” Dick asks, looking up from what he was doing, the silence was enough for an answer. “Oh my god! You do like her!”
“I do not,” Damian denies before leaving the kitchen.
He’s silent as he is driven to school by Alfred. As the car pulls up to school he sees his friend and the girl he may or may not have feelings for, he hasn’t figured it out yet. He gets out of the car and greets the two raven-haired siblings.
“Father stayed up all night trying to figure out how to adopt you and Dick is convinced you’re a magic girl,” Damian says.
“I’m technically a magic girl, and your father has to get in line, there’s Adrien’s aunt, then,” Marinette starts, and Jon cuts in. “My parents are also trying to adopt her.”
“Well Jon, we don’t want a repeat of last time out parents fought, do we?” Damian asks, raising an eyebrow.
“That was before you or eye were here, and also that was for a stupid reason, this would be for a great reason,” Jon shrugs.
“No matter who adopts, if anyone does, I’ll get siblings, but I’m not some doll to be fought over, just remember that,” Marinette says over her shoulder as she leaves the boys to bicker, or whatever an argument including Damian is called. She sighs and grabs her things from her locker, she was exhausted after she left the Manor last night. She ate dinner, did the little homework she had to do, and went to bed, totally didn’t pass out from exhaustion, hahaha.
When she had woken up that morning, she was met with many notifications mostly from her ex-classmates and Adrien asking how she was doing and stuff. She blocks the unwanted messages, including those from her parents, and chooses to just answer, Adrien and Aunt Amelia’s, she was asking how she was doing and how open she is to adoption, there was even one from Felix! He was checking up on her and made sure she got a reasonable amount of sleep.
She’s brought back to school by Damian clearing his throat behind her. “So magic girls get tired then?”
“Could you not talk so loud? Just because it’s in European news doesn’t mean people know who I am, also yes we do get tired, we are humans, also I am not tired just a bit distracted,” Marinette sighs, closing her locker.
“I’m not one to be tired or distracted so no, I don’t know. Back to you being a magic girl, as Dick called you, the League will most likely contact you about your situation.”
“It doesn’t matter what they do, they laughed in our faces and practically called Chat Noir and I a joke, well no so much they, more like Green Lantern, that’s not the point they didn’t help us, so why would I try to be on their good side, my team was left to struggle against a mental villain that takes advantage of any negative emotion,” Marinette says, walking to first period.
“You’re being dramatic, except for the terrorist that attacks mental and emotional health more than physical.”
“Maybe I am, maybe I’m not, they will never know the extension of the damage that they left Paris in, now can we drop it? I just want a nap before first period”
“We can drop it, also this proves you can be tired.”
“I already told you we’re humans and can be tired, in fact Adrien lived on coffee for a majority of out schooling while still in Paris.”
“Your caffeine addiction may be bad, but its nothing compared to Tim’s, by the way, can you come back over today to work on the project? We didn’t finish enough for me to be satisfied yesterday,” Damian asks, sliding into his seat.
“Yeah sure, whatever floats your boat, Dami,” Marinette sighs, putting her head on her desk. She swears that the whole class was silent, so she looked up. Everyone was looking at her in some stage of shock, she looks over at Damian, his face is red. She shrugs and puts her head on the desk trying to get a power nap before class.
Little did she know during her little preschool nap news would spread all over the school about the Ice prince turned blushing boy, Damian, and the epitome of innocence Marinette and their supposed “relationship”. She just wanted to sleep and all the talk was stopping her. Heck, what does a magic girl have to do to get some sleep in America?

Hii Jessie, how are you? Hope you are doing fine <3
So I wanted to ask you something, how did you discover what you wanted to do? And since you like fashion and music etc, have you ever, at some point considered, working with it?
I’m in my early 20s and so far I still don’t know what I want to do, and I feel like I’m wasting my time because while all of my friends are already in college or working with something they like, they already “found themselves” in a sense and I feel really lost. I would love to work in a more creativity environment kind of, within the fashion or music industry but at the same time I’d like to work with something more… I want to say meaningful? Like something almost like you do you know? That helps other people. I don’t know if I’m making any sense haha.
Anyway I hope this isn’t intrusive, but I found really interesting that ask you answered about what you work with.
Hi! Yeah, I’m doing well. I’m still stuck in lockdown but I should just be grateful that I have the privilege of working from home and that my friends and family are all safe and healthy. Hope you are doing good as well x
This might be a long one but:
I did have a period where I considered going into music journalism or something along the lines of that. Basically, my first part-time job (that I kept for the rest of my high school years) was at a record store and you know, it’s a dream for every music lover to be around music that often and to that capacity. They ended up letting me write the weekly newsletter (like reviews, announcements, mini interviews with local bands that came through for small gigs, etc.), which kinda got me thinking that maybe that’s what I wanted to pursue in the long run. After that I started finding odd internship at smaller magazines and even newspapers but I quickly realised that it wasn’t for me (for multitude of reasons). I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do for a while after that, but then I started volunteering for the Red Cross during my last year of high school and spent a lot of time helping out with the prison program (which basically entailed supervising younger kids during the family visits on the weekend). That was when it clicked to me that I really wanted to do something relating to reform and ended up looking into legal studies and criminology for uni. I know my current job is in research but my uni work experience was actually with the Child Protection services. I ended up in research because I was lucky enough to have been offered opportunities, but I don’t necessarily believe that you need to do the exact thing that you were working towards at the beginning of your education. My advice to you is to look into volunteering or interning in as many areas of interests as you possibly could. Sometimes you can envision yourself ‘fitting’ into a certain career but from my experience, once you get there and spend a few weeks in that environment, it’s a completely different story. By integrating and getting hands-on experience in different fields, it’s going to give you a sample-size to work with and you’re going to be able to sit down and go ‘ok, this part of the job was good/rewarding but not so much this bit’ or ‘I didn’t enjoy that at all and it’s not going to work in the long-run.’ That way you’ll be dwindling down on which career path suits you best and if you ever decide to go in that direction then you’d most likely have already met people along the way that can help guide you or provide helpful advice on how to get there.
Also dnw, your message isn’t intrusive at all and what you’re saying makes a lot of sense to me! I think ‘discovering yourself’ is supposed to be for your 20s but imo, most of us don’t really know what we want to do and feel lost at times. I assure you that you’re not alone and just because you haven’t decided on a set path it doesn’t mean that you’re “falling behind” your peers in any way. Honestly, A LOT of people go to school for one thing and don’t even end up working in that area afterwards. Your friends are the few of the lucky ones, because half my friendship group are doing something completely different to what they wanted to do 3-4 years ago lol.

HARRY ZHONG (MITCHELL-WHITE)
IG info/bio: @/heedful.harry | 15.6k followers| hi, I’m Harry and I’m a business major. No, You don’t have to hold your applause 🧐
21 years old
From York, England
Cancer sun + ARIES MOON energy
He and his younger brother, Archie were foster children in the Mitchell-white household
which consisted: Harrison Mitchell and his daughter from a previous marriage, Briony, Piers White and together they had a surrogate carry their child, which gave them their second daughter, Pippa
Later they came to the decision to adopt Harry and Archie Zhong, if only that’s what they wanted too
It took longer for Harry to warm up to the family since he was still waiting and wishing for his mom to come back for them
He was diagnosed with IED around 15 years old
Goes to therapy for it and meetings with others with similar issues...he dreads the meetings since it makes him feel like he has a problem or something, which HE DOES but it makes him feel like a...but he knows that’s a ignorant way to think
He’s currently a business major and loves telling people about it *yawn* (don’t drag me lmao)
He’s thinking he’ll be a Financial analyst or a Marketing manager
The type of person who’s done a lot in his short life that it’s often unbelievable ex.) telling the villa he’s driven one of the cars that was used in the fast and furious franchise & getting pissed when bill and everyone else didn’t believe him
Harrison is a train driver and is normally bubbly + wears bright preppy clothes
He also loves Broadway, much to Harry’s annoyance...if he hears one more Hamilton song he’s gonna slam his head thru a wall stg
Piers is a music producer and is more reserved or “stand-off-ish” until he gets warmed up to you + his aesthetic is a rocker, yeah he’s got the whole tattoos and boots thing going for him, after all he was in a rock band
Piers makes the most $ and is of high status, which brought him and his family perks but is not a snob about it...it’s whatever ya know?
Harry’s closer to piers, feels he understands him more & can be kinda rude to Harrison when he’s in one of his moods but tries to be better at responding to him since he made him cry once years ago — yes he felt like complete shit afterwards
Harry is anemic so he always finds himself cold, experiencing fatigue, irregular heartbeat, and if he gets up too fast or moves too fast? Let the bodies hit the floor, let the bodies hit the floor, let the bodies hit the—FLOOO000R! (I’m making this joke as a person with anemia)
Likes cold weather since everyone else can feel what he feels on the daily
Plus he loves dressing for winter season, trench coats, wool coats, turtle necks, thermal t-shirts, fleece pants, rolled up beanies that keeps his ears covered and his hair glued to his forehead...you name it!
On the regular? He’s a khaki’s kinda guy, dress shirts, and loves wearing suit and ties...he’s not the biggest fan of jeans. He loves dressing fancy unless the measurements are bloody awful
I’m going by the alternative design for Harry and...whew! Then he’s 6’1 if we’re talking about the one they gave us then we all know he has a baby face, so I’d say he’s about 5’8
He’s got long legs + arms and hates how majority of his pants barely fit around his ankles
has dry scalp too
I feel like he’s pretty intelligent and sometimes it can come off as a know it all, yet, he’s always down to help people & isn’t condescending while doing so
He knows how to make soaps and would sell them on his etsy account in highschool where plenty shat on him for it so for awhile he stopped the hobby until Harrison encouraged him to keep at this if it was what makes him happy
Harrison is the type of parent you go to for comfort and hugs even if it might feel like he’s smothering you
Piers is the one who lets you come to him when you’re ready to talk about it, no pressure
Harry went to a high school that focused on technology so he’s all into the latest gadgets
This is a secret but he only got a apple watch to feel like a true spy
His intelligence got him somewhere with a few ladies ;)
He’s a certified freak, 7 days a week and had a handful of hookups and about 4 gfs in his life so far
He’s kinky!!!
& has a f**t fetish
His past relationships were not long relationships, which sucked but Harry felt like...this might sound arrogant, but it’s either their lost — although there was never any bad blood with his breakups! or his person was still out there somewhere...
I haven’t fully played his route (AJ stole my ass since I couldn’t romance seb or Nicky sorry) but I’ve seen screen caps and he’s a total sweetie if he’s really committed to you, you might be his “true love”
He’s nervous opposed to his usual confidence when he’s chatting to other ladies with ease, with you it’s different, it’s magnetic, nerve-wrecking, butterflies, electric, and exciting all wrapped in one
I feel like he shows his love language with quality time but also enjoys physical touch from his partner
Picky eater
But he was worst as a child! Barely ate anything which led to him being lanky or it’s in his genes but mostly he wouldn’t eat a damn thing
These are a few of his favorite things: figs, green tea, and almond milk
makes the best spring rolls with the rice paper, those are superior than fried! “Fried food will kill u u know!” “Okay bill.” “Iona, don’t know if u had too much to drink but, erm I’m Harry.” “R/WHOOOOssssh! And you’re s’pposed to be the smart one, yeah right.”
outside of the villa he found himself continuing his friendship with bill—even tho he pisses him off sometimes since he’s always got some shit to say but they’re probably the closest, Iona she’s always honest and is always a good time to be around when they hang out, Then there’s Camilo and Miki that he hangs out with too
Is the first one sharing about his day in the group chat with all of the villa, he can feel half of them rolling their eyes at him since many feel he tends to exaggerate
if he’s not endgame with mc...he kinda feels a way that Genevieve found her happiness in seb instead of him, it’s not that he’s bitter—he genuinely liked her and felt like maybe they didn’t try hard enough but deep down knows relationships can’t be forced. It’s just his ego trying to control things that’s all! plus he was comfortable with vieve even if it felt more on a platonic side...oh well
once slid into jen from s1’s dms one dark stormy drunk night & admitted on live that erikah kinda gave him some tips before going on the show... & that he thought one of the new girls that entered the villa was a better fit than one of the originals from s2 which caused him to get blocked by said original OOP
Has a circle of close friends outside of the villa, they’re all brainiacs and have something going for themselves
Enjoys action films and biographical drama films like: James Bond, John Wick, and the social network
Isn’t ashamed to admit that he loves using sheet face masks but isn’t the greatest at following a consistent skincare routine
Has his own back massager that he spent a lot of $ on since it wouldn’t go on sale and then a week later...it went on sale
sends a lot of “🙃🙂” texts when you piss him off
probably worked at GameStop, the apple store, Godiva, and currently works at a electronic repair shop for a side of cash but is looking for a internship since he’ll be graduating next year
Always Keeps cough drops on him?
is a huge cuddler & falls asleep easily
His brain is always active, experiences REM sleep often
fav video games are tekken & hitman
owns a drone now 😏
also loves strategic board games & riddles
Took quarantine life seriously, did his research before it completely broke globally and started buying shit excessively in person and online that he sent most to his family before the campus shut down
Is the friend that will check on his friends :)
Keeps his dorm and his room back home CLEAN af, is OCD about everything being in order/organized. Will know if you touched his shit, Archie felt his wrath many times before
Has a life goal board in his closet, & plans to be fully established by 25. More power to ya Harry!
Celeb crushes: Victoria justice, Jesy Nelson, Deepika Padukone, Brec Bassinger, jasmine tookes, and princess Mae
Who does he listen to? oceanfromtheblue, Galimatias, Ta-Ku, Aries, Tyler, the creator, rich Brian, NIKI, viji, & AJR
Anthem = DPR IAN, “So beautiful”
