Piston lore drop! Piston is unaffiliated! They wanted to wear the Decepticon insignia to be more like Breakdown but Breakdown said absolutely not. He insisted Piston wear the Autobot insignia, as at the time, he thought it would be safer for them. Turns out, not so much. If you know, you know. If you don't, boy howdy are you in for a treat!

This was the first time Breakdown ever told Piston no and followed through on it. He didn't tell Bumblebee what Piston said as it genuinely scared him to hear his child say, "All Hail Megatron!" He hoped that it was a one-off thing and ignored it as best as he could.

Piston doesn't fully understand what the big deal is, their Sire was a Decepticon, why can't they wear it too? It's just a logo.

(Rumble is fine it's payback for stealing their tires that one time)
