people make fun of the "oh you only hate her because she's a WOMAN" crazy feminist mentality but yeah actually you guys do only hate her because she's a woman a lot of times. for every hated female tv character there's ten male tv characters who are a million times worse and still given at least the "intriguing morally grey character" treatment if not straight up praise. for every hated female celebrity in real life there's one hundred famous men who have done worse and don't get half the hate she does. for every hated female politician, for every hated female historical figure, for the women you know in real life and on and on.

so, House makes gay jokes about him and Wilson. Often. It’s totally normal. But ignoring that, he literally makes one of these jokes by himself. There’s no one there to hear it. He’s literally alone in his fucking apartment. It’s not even a “other people think we’re gay” or “we sure do act gay lol” it’s one of those jokes where House straight up says he’s gay for Wilson but to reiterate HE IS SAYING IT OUT LOUD TO HIMSELF. There’s no one to make laugh!!!!! He basically just fucking says “I’m gay for Wilson” . He doesn’t say ‘haha I’m joking’ (cause he never does,) but. Like. Are we not supposed to assume he just fucking meant that??? I-
ISTG IM GOING INSANE??? House writers what the fuck are you ON?

Drawing something for every episode of Ethersea - Episode 1 (next)
Part one of a project I’ve been wanting to start for a while now! Whatever I’ll draw for each ep will probably vary from either full illustrations, comics, NPC line-ups or just doodles! It’ll be whatever my heart tells me as I listen to the episode 👍

Really stupid idea:
Narinder and Mary go on dates for the sole purpose of constantly trying to kill each other
That would go about as well as you think it would

We all know Lisa from lis 1. Max’s plant that you may or may not water. Just a fun little ‘this action will have consequences’ jump scare, right?
It WAS until Before the Storm where we get a similar choice in Chloe’s room. Except if you choose to water it then Chloe will water it with a can of soda, figuring it’s better than nothing, killing the plant. On the surface this might seem to support Chloe’s insecurity that she expresses during her and Rachel’s argument in the junkyard where Chloe expresses that she only ever hurts people she cares about and screws everything up. That’s probably how Chloe sees it. But that’s not how I see it. How I see it is that in order to properly nurture something, you need to use the right method. Like how in the junkyard and Rachel’s room Chloe learns that the best way to comfort Rachel is to give her space and just be there for her, which goes against Chloe’s instincts. Something that might seem good in the moment is actually harmful in the long run. This reminds me of Chloe’s dream/vision of William when he talks about how the intense and destructive beauty of fire (Rachel) can blind you to the calmer and consistent beauty of the stars (Max) (this is not about a ship war, I swear. That’s just the messaging that I feel like the game is trying to tell us).
Chloe and Rachel’s relationship is not the healthiest. They did need each other for a time, and we see in the comics that there is a timeline where they end up having an amazing relationship, but it was pretty clear that in our canon timeline the longer their friendship/situationship lasted the more harmful it was becoming. Something that seemed good at first but in the long run would metaphorically kill them. If Rachel wasn’t killed then their whole relationship probably would’ve went up in flames.
Now we come back to Max. She’s the stars. She waters Lisa with water. She and Chloe are what each other needs in the long run. They’re what each other needs to live and thrive

one of the worst things about growing up is realizing how many grown adult women will believe a man when he just gives an opinion on a woman. do you know how many women uncritically and swiftly accept men’s hearsay? a man will make dubious claims about a woman author, actress, musician, tiktoker, character, etc., and they will hate her the instant he commands it like sleeper agents.
a man will say “wah wah this book is anti-man🥺” and all that happened was someone quoted a basic feminist thought and the female protagonist didn’t marry the first handsome male character she saw but then a horde of women will rush to his defense like “poor wittle baby we’re so sorry about those ugly feminist evil lesbian women they can choke on a gun”
everytime a man hates something i rush to check it out for myself because there’s a high chance it’s gonna be awesome.
men don’t know what’s cool. “cool” to them is whatever sucks their dick. except the women who actually do, of course. except them.
