It's the sound of crashing, of something being smashed against the wall that alerted Damian to a problem. At the first sound he looked up from his work, pausing and listening for a repeat. He didn't have to wait long, another loud crash prompting him to stand up and head to the source.

The room was a wreck. Strips off wallpaper had been ripped away, leaving jagged tears exposing the material underneath. Blood along the edges of the paneling, as though someone had tried between the seams with their bare hands. The couch had been moved and overturned, a whole torn into the bottom and fabric pulled away. More blood along the floor and scratches, as though the wood pattern on the floor was more than just peel-and-stick tile.

And in the center of it all was Damian's partner. Talking to something only he could see. It was too early for this yet, it's going off-script in a way that Damian wasn't sure he liked.

"What are you looking for?" he asked, having missed most of the conversation. It could be anything, really. With luck and a lot of experience, Damian hoped he'd be able to parse through what exactly the problem was. An empty pill bottle had been thrown against the wall, but that one was old, label faded. "You know they're never that helpful, maybe I can figure out where they hid it if you tell me what they stole." Damian may not see the things now, but he had before, on the occasion they'd used Toby's brain pattern as the perspective. At the very least he'd not be able to process they may not be real, not when he was in this state and Damian didn't much relish the thought of getting into a fight over it, not when he'd been holding himself back too long and was half-waiting for an excuse to let go himself.

Thank you @pennedinblood for the tag! <3 My fic writing has taken a backseat to my novel and scripts the last week or so, but I can give a nice peak into Ch. 6 of The Space Between Us! The fic focuses on how Vox and Alastor come to be where they are in S1, but this section focuses mostly on Angel & his connection to Val >:3 (it matters overall to the vibe between Vox and Al, much like every other scene I put in that doesn't directly involve the two of them; but you'll just have to wait for the chapter to come out XD)

It felt… silly, as he picked up the pen waiting for him. It was just a pen. And it was about to change the shape of his entire afterlife. His eternity. Equal bolts of pleasure and anxiety shot through him at the thought, his heart hammering as he put pen to paper and started to move. He’d practiced his signature for this, a perfect star in place of the ‘A’ at the start of his name. What he was going to be. The shape of his new life. And at the end, he couldn’t help but doodle a little heart in the space before his name for Val. After all, their love was the reason for all of this. For the opportunity. For change. The moment he lifted his pen from the paper, there was an uncomfortable sensation in his left eye, like ink spilling across the surface with the ghost of a sting. He touched his face, finding nothing but clear tears welling at the sensation when he pulled his fingers back. He blinked a few times to try and clear it, catching a warped glance at himself in the metal of the pen as he went to set it down, momentarily startled by it because his eye – oh. Right. Guess the whole black-eye-ownership thing ain’t bullshit afterall. Oh well, he wasn’t ashamed for people to know his work was earned through more than being a good fuck and a better boyfriend. That had been the whole goddamn point.

He needs those soft eyes and that warm smile he knows Val’s ready to give him. He takes a deep breath, trying to play off the wateriness of his eyes as relief in having things settled since Vox is watching. But meeting Val’s gaze makes Anthony jolt. A there-and-gone moment where he doesn’t recognize the man sitting next to him. That puppy-smile wolfish and hungry, those eyes glittering with something Anthony’s only seen flickers of between his own pleasure-fucked tears in their roughest play-scenes. He shakes his head, a breathy laugh escaping him as he brings one hand up to card through his fluffy arc of hair. Another pressing a thumb between his brows as he tries to get a fuckin’ grip. “Geeze. Sorry for getting’ all twitchy. Guess I wasn’t expecting there to be physical sensation with it.” “Ah.” Vox’s voice, Anthony didn’t bother looking over, just slouched back in his chair and watched Val’s large hands roll up the contract and tie it with a big red bow. Cute. “We might have given you a heads-up, but we couldn’t know. Neither one of us has ever signed anything away.”

Kang Yohan 100%, not even close. I love him sm. He's gorgeous and an amazing character. Also I relate to him more than I probably should but we don't have time to unpack all that xD 2. Who is your favourite character (s) from TDJ?

This one's hard for me, there are so many moments in this show that I absolutely adore but if I have to pick it'll be Episode 12 for the Scene after Yohans Run with the iconic "I don't care if mankind goes extinct as long as I have you two" quote

3. Where do you see your favourite character in 10 years?

God I hope he's happy. That's all I care about. Happy, feeling safe and finally able to relax and be himself. Preferably with Gaon by his side as his husband and maybe even a little daughter of their own that he can pamper and treat like a princess.

4. Why do you think The Devil Judge fandom continues to this day?

There's a lot of reasons for this I think but most important is probably how unique the show is and how amazing the community is. Like, I don't think there is a single show out there that I'd compare to TDJ. The story, the characters, the writing, it all comes together so well. It's obviously not perfect but I love it and haven't found anything that comes close. And then there's the community. I've never felt more safe and welcome when joining any other fandom. You guys are so sweet and I love that sm.

5. How did you find The Devil Judge? (What made you watch?)

This part cracks me up because it was pure coincidence for me. I have hundreds of shows and movies on my Watchlist on Netflix but decided to browse the main page instead. A few rows down in between a bunch of other shows was TDJ and I even almost scrolled past it but decided to read the description and gave it a go. Was hooked from episode 1

On one hand, they are created by some sort of gooish thing (like Toga's disguises) and they melt under blunt impact, so it would make sense for them to simply be weird goo inside and hardened identical skin on the outside. (Unless the organs melt really fast?)

On the other hand, if that were the case Twice could find out he's the original by simply taking an X-ray or getting a stethoscope to check if he's got lungs and a heart. Unless he himself didn't know and never thought to check?

I can definitely see a case for both honestly. To be a perfect clone, which it seems like they are/they just about are, that would mean they would have to contain every element of the original right? Maybe the goo part just comes from damage causing the doubles to become unstable, and if you were to x-ray/mri/whatever the doubles then you would see them. Theres really no purpose for them being that intricate tho, and if anything it would probably take a hell of a lot of resources and energy for him to make completely functional organs when they could just be goo

Just finished to read chapter 12 and I am glad they at least not actively trying to kill each other anymore lol THAT’S CALLED IMPROVEMENT TO ME(small mercy)but I also hope they got to talk after they finish to eat each other up(mostly Lucy but u know). It’s pretty obv that Al previous relationship with Vox has messed him up quite a bit and Lucy is very sweet to ask for permission instead of just touching him without asking(I adore how attentive Lucy is in regard of Al little change in his perfect mask and I love how he gets a little cheeky towards the end and makes Al say what he wants)

That’s a big step in the right direction for an healthy relationship(at least as healthy as it can get in hell)and I think we should give more credit to Charlie’s lessons, cause if they work even on the devil, I’ll say they should give her one of these certificates that Tik toker showcase to say that they have a degree in something, cause Charlie deserves that and more(thinking about the fact that she send her Dad upstairs to talk with Al and they are fucking) it definitely worked lmao

Also I Wonder why Al stayed as long as he did in a relationship with Vox if he hated it that much…mhhh so many questions! Can’t wait to read more💜

Hello! I hope you are doing well. I have been following your concepts on [cursed bird app] for a while now and find your stance on the totk rewrite intruiging. Since twitter ofc is never a good place to elaborate on anything lmao, I figured I would ask on here after finding out about your tumblr.

You are welcome to take as much time as you need for this, but I was very curious to hear more about why you feel totk 'fails as a sequel' in terms of writing. I can agree that the whole zonai thing did come out of left field a little, and I never did like the whole "zelda is once again separated from you for 90% of the game," bit (bc c'mon Nintendo again? Really??) but I was curious about what else you found dissatisfaction in and sought to redo

If your plan though is to do so gradually as you go with the new rewrite concepts you piece together and post, that is fine too. I just get more curious about your opinion bc you always seem to have a *lot* you want to say outside of just tag ramblings xD

i have talked alot about the things i dislike about totk, all my general talking (not just about totk tho) is tagged with "ganondoodles talks" and all my longer rants should be tagged with "ganondoodles rants" (tho that tag is new idk if i remembered to put it everywhere) so i think it might be easier if you searched for these on my blog bc thats were all my ramblings go and, with no ill intent, have talked about it so much already i kinda dont want to spend hours writing out something that just ends up repeating myself really

somethign i can say that the main thing on why it fails as a sequel to me is .. bc its not .. a sequel really, it reuses map and models but doesnt elaborate on anything from botw (the zonau were barely even a thing in botw and now in totk their stuff looks way different and they have been here all along actually(tm) ) the shiekah stuff is basically erased despite it having been so build into the world of botw (and you could have just .. explored them more bc theres lots of cool stuff to do with them still), characters act weirdly off, stuff that was seemingly build up and was a perfect slide into a sequel either gets ignored or just straight up erased, themes dont match up at all and more

it just feels like they tested the glue mechanic for 3 years and everything else was an afterthought, i felt empty at the end, in a bad way, it felt like the game was actively mocking me for caring so much about botw at times and totk actively hurts botw too imo (with some reveals etc)

they should have just called it an alternative dimension thing like majora and half my complaints could be dismissed, but its not so im super frustrated bc i love botw a ton

if there are more specific questions you are free to ask about it again of course! this is not meant to sound dismissive but me typing out stuff can take a long time and im behind on so much work already qnq

no cus i totally understand your frustration, ive also quit splatfests for the moment until they get an overhaul

i suggest if you feel close to getting hateful to either shiver or shiver fans then maybe quit for a while for your own sake cus ive felt a lot better after doing so, im still really sensitive to negative comments towards frye or rude ones about shiver winning but taking some time for myself has made me feel infinitely better

ive been close to hating shiver before bc of how cocky and rude them and their fans can be but it doesnt really do anything but sour your enjoyment of the game more, so its really not worth it

i do have to say though, anyone who says "its just a game" reaaally needs to understand the frustration of people OTHER than them, sympathy is something a lot of people forget about when it comes to things that arent real life. just because it doesnt affect you doesnt mean everyone can shut off their attachment to the game or a character like a light switch; a lot of the time you dont know whats going on with them. i myself am really attached to frye cus i am hashtag autism creature and he brings me comfort, so anyone being rude to me about shiver winning really REALLY gets under my skin. its not entirely (if they were serious, if they werent then its not at all) their fault, but nintendo fixing the frustration of splatfests constantly keeling in one direction (which theyre supposed to do anyways but they havent) would definitely fix the issue. we need to find a way to have nintendo fix this, not attack anyone else for what bundle of pixels and text theyre attached to.

not everyone has really thick skin and if we want splatoon 3 to be more hospitable then we should try to cut down on the general splatfest bullassery in public spaces (being overly cocky and rude/blaming others in a way with no basis or truth behind it). its not something everyone can always do since we arent all perfect, but if we make steps in that direction then we could help more people enjoy the splatoon community rather than being eaten up by toxicity and spite

OMG I LOVE RDJ Holmes, and it's so BEAUTIFUL. The first one came out in 2009, and Sherlock came out in 2010, so yes, RDJ Holmes was first, and I fell in love with that one first (I got into Sherlock in 20...13? Just before season 3). The two RDJ films are still a couple of my faves, and there's been talks for YEARS for a third one (I know both RDJ and Law want to do it, but I think the problem is all the issues plaguing WB...)

AND OMG the BEST PART?? Law literally shamed a reporter for calling their relationship a bromance; I think they BOTH want the third one to be an explicit queer relationship, but I think the big hurdle is the studio interference and (BEFORE 2023) was the remaining copyrights not having expired. NOW that all the ACD canon is public domain, the big hurdle is the WB.

Anyway, I love them, SO MUCH. I ship them SO hard, and now I think I'm gonna go rewatch the movies because they're SO beautiful. I love them to bits.

Since it's been over a decade since the last one, I would LOVE SH3 to explore them older and together. I think that would be lovely.

Last book I read: The last full book was probably A Nervous Splendor over my Easter break afhfhlhfl

Last film I watched: Metropolis with a live orchestra in March! Loved it so much hehehe.

Last tv series: I tried watching a Finnish spy TV show (Pysäyttäkää Nyqvist) but had to quit after the first episode because there were too many inaccuracies about how recruitment into/employment in the Finnish foreign office works and it annoyed me LMAO. (They portrayed it as if interns can get promoted into other roles and they can't, you have to get accepted into the official diplomat training programme and are then guaranteed an entry level job.) It's crazy haha, like the show was made by the Finnish public national broadcaster so surely they could've easily checked... maybe they didn't care lol.

Last thing I googled: "Can you wash frying pan with dish brush" but in Finnish (😭😂 I normally use a sponge but it was getting crusty and I need to buy a new one, so I used the sponge to wash my trash can before throwing it away. I figured the brush would be fine for the pan and it seems it was).

Last thing I ate: Ramen cup w added cashew nuts & some peach ice tea.

Sweet, savoury, or spicy: Sweet, people make fun of me for having aggressively sensitive Finnish taste buds. Spicy Pringles are already pretty spicy to me XD I like them too though

Amount of sleep: Actual good sleep today after ~6 hours a few nights in a row!! (Those were due to being bad at time management 😭). I'd say about 8 hours which is nice hehe.

Currently reading: I've been trying to read Elizabeth Kostova's The Historian for the past 7 months but I'm always too busy w school. I hope to finish it at some point though 😭😭
