every time i see y'all talk about personal habits with muses all i can do is picture emmrich with one of those multi zip leash things bc y'all need an adult (affectionate).
listen, this man has a routine. he thrives on it. lives by it. a place for everything, and everything in its place and that's how he keeps himself from spiraling (if you want my honest opinion). up before the asscrack of dawn, he's getting in his exercise, he's done his grooming routine, he's dressed, and he's ready for breakfast and tea by the time some of the others are either falling asleep or zombie walking toward the coffee.
so believe me when i say it's not just bellara he's worried about, do y'all wanna talk. please drink some water.
#( headcanon )#// no but i was thinking about this earlier#// because a psychogogue is like#// basically a spirit therapist#// plus he's obviously got some bereavement training#// because yeah he's a badass combat mage and can talk to the dead cool#// but part of his job is still the actual preparation of bodies and comforting the living#// so he's gonna hit you with that when he sees you're not taking care of yourself because everyone in that lighthome#// becomes important to him#// thanks for coming

Explain the basic: Shadow Work
As always, I will love to hear your thoughts! and if you have any questions, I will be more than happy to answer them! If you liked it, leave a comment or reblog (that is always appreciated!). if you are intrested in more method check the masterlist!
Desclaimer: Everything I will talk about is information that I got from books and sites online and even videos on YouTube. In my years of practice, I learned as much as I could out of curiosity and what works best for me. I suggest you do the same by learning as much as you can on your own (I will be here making posts teaching this kind of stuff) from multiple sources.
Shadow work in witchcraft refers to the practice of exploring and integrating the darker, often unconscious parts of oneself. This concept, which has roots in Jungian psychology, involves confronting and working through repressed emotions, fears, and desires that can influence behavior and spiritual well-being. For witches and those practicing modern paganism, shadow work is a means of personal growth, healing, and achieving a more balanced self.
What is Shadow Work?
Concept and Origins
The term "shadow" was popularized by Carl Jung, who described it as the unconscious part of the personality that contains repressed weaknesses, desires, and instincts. In witchcraft, shadow work involves delving into these hidden aspects to gain a deeper understanding of oneself and to heal from past traumas. (Do not take it as a substitution for a professional therapist.)
the Purpose is:
Self-Awareness: Gaining insight into one's unconscious motivations and behaviors.
Healing: Addressing and healing from past wounds and traumas.
Integration: Bringing the shadow into the conscious mind to achieve a more balanced and whole self.
How to Do Shadow Work in Witchcraft
Preparation
Safe Space: Create a physical and emotional space where you feel safe and comfortable. This can include an altar, candles, crystals, and other personal items.
Set Intentions: Clearly state your intentions for undertaking shadow work. This could be written in a journal or spoken aloud as part of a ritual.
Techniques
Journaling: Regularly write about your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Focus on patterns, triggers, and recurring themes in your life.
Meditation: Practice meditation to quiet the mind and become more aware of your inner world. Guided meditations specifically for shadow work can be helpful.
Dream Analysis: Pay attention to your dreams and record them. Dreams can provide insight into the unconscious mind.
Tarot and Oracle Cards: Use tarot or oracle cards to explore your shadow. Specific spreads can help reveal hidden aspects of yourself.
Rituals: Perform rituals that focus on introspection and healing. These might involve candle work, invoking deities or spirits associated with transformation, and symbolic acts like burning written fears or burying objects representing old wounds.(Do not even think of doing this without the right preparation first!)
Mirror Work: Spend time looking at yourself in the mirror, speaking affirmations, and acknowledging both positive and negative aspects of yourself.
Integration and Healing
Acceptance: Acknowledge and accept all parts of yourself without judgment.
Self-Compassion: Practice self-compassion and forgiveness for past mistakes and behaviors.
Therapy: Consider professional therapy if needed, especially when dealing with deep traumas or difficult emotions.
Continual Practice
Shadow work is an ongoing process rather than a one-time task. Regularly revisit and update your practices to continue growing and healing.
Tips for Effective Shadow Work
Patience and Persistence: Shadow work can be challenging and emotional. Be patient with yourself and persistent in your efforts.
Support System: Have a support system in place, whether friends, family, or a community of like-minded individuals.
Self-Care: Engage in regular self-care activities to balance the intensity of shadow work.
Balance: Ensure you balance shadow work with other spiritual practices that uplift and energize you.
Shadow work in witchcraft is a profound journey of self-discovery and healing, leading to greater self-awareness and spiritual depth. By embracing both the light and shadow within, practitioners can achieve a more harmonious and integrated self.

Korra's journey in Book 3 is so funny because it's like. Maybe a few weeks? And in those weeks she:
Got anxious about not being able to get rid of the vines.
Beefed with the president in front of the press.
Failed to learn how to drive.
Failed to get rid of the vines.
Saved an Airbender's life.
Beefed with the president again and got kicked out of Republic City.
Decided she was going to dedicate herself to rebuild the Air Nation.
Travelled across the Earth Kingdom looking for Airbenders (and she and Tenzin only managed go get one to join them).
She and Asami kept bonding and training together while at the same time kinda making fun of Mako.
Visited Ba Sing Se.
Fought a few bandits.
Yelled at the Earth Queen because she wouldn't tell her where the Airbenders were.
Organized a prison break and basically declared herself an enemy of the crown.
Became a fugitive in the Earth Kingdom.
Visited Zaofu and met the Beifong Clan.
Tried to be the Beifong family's therapist.
Learnt how to metalbend.
Got tranq'd and almost kidnapped.
Tracked Aiwei until the Misty Palm Oasis.
Chatted with Zaheer about philosophy stuff in the Spirit World.
She and Asami got arrested by the Earth Queen's officers.
She and Asami escaped.
They all got stranded in the middle of the desert with a giant fish who tried to kill them.
They worked together and the officers were now her buddies.
Talked to Iroh in the Spirit World who told her to ask Zuko for advice about what to do with the Airbenders and Zaheer's threat.
Asked Zuko for advice and told him she'd spoken with his supposed dead uncle.
Decided to sacrifice herself for the Airbenders.
Had to fight Zaheer while being chained up.
Thought her dad died.
Was poisoned and basically tortured to induce the Avatar State.
Was having creepy ass hallucinations as she managed to resist for a pretty long time.
Got into the Avatar State and quickly broke free and nearly killed all the Red Lotus.
Fought Zaheer in the sky while literally dying from being poisoned.
Zaheer nearly suffocated her.
Got saved by the same Airbenders she sacrificed herself for and saved by Suyin.
Was severely injured and affected both physically and psychologically.
Got accepted back in Republic City?
Began to figure out she wasn't straight because she was starting to like her ex-boyfriend's ex-girlfriend at some point but it was all very confusing?
Went to Jinora's ceremony.
All that in the span of like. A month, a month and a half. Like damn the girl really went through it all, they didn't let her catch a break all season.

Even putting aside the Dorym of it all... I kinda feel like part of the reason Orym misses Dorian so much is that Dorian is kinda the next most normal person in the Crownkeepers and Bell’s Hells. Which is honestly a little wild to be saying about a runaway prince in disguise. But like...
The Crownkeepers have/had:
- A himbo dwarf Sorceror who has been singled out by a Lesser Idol in a fursuit.
- A bubbly girly-girl Warlock who is apparently her own patron (and the Spider Queen's here too, I guess)
- A Rabbit-folk Paladin who used to be a bartender in Fantasy Vegas and is now devoted to the goddess of death.
- A kleptomaniac Faun whose adoptive grandmother is an eldritch hag with the power to alter fate. Also, has a pet monkey that shits fire.
- Does Cyrus count? He’s an NPC. In any case, he’s basically the same as Dorian, but More Himbo and less useful, lol.
- A woman so intense she is literally always on fire.
Bell's Hells has/had:
- Fearne (I already explained her)
- A Werewolf who makes toys and hates Santa.
- A walking corpse who is haunted by the spirit of the necromancer who raised her from the dead. Also enjoys puppeting a dead rat.
- A purple-haired Psychic who gets her powers from an imprisoned eldritch moon monster.
- A Barbarian punk who is half Primordial Titan, half Beacon, all attitude. Also, they used to be an Aasimar before his cultist parents meddled with powers beyond mortal understanding.
- A chirpy, sentient Robot who is technically a therapist, but also really bad at it. Recently discovered religion and is real annoying about it.
- An 80 year-old man who is an erstwhile member of the legendary Vox Machina. Also, known liar and coward.
In contrast, you have Dorian (runaway prince) and Orym (just some guy).
I feel like they probably met each other for the first time and were both like, 'THANK THE GODS, SOMEONE WHO ISN'T TOTALLY BONKERS,' and just stuck to each other. Like two acquaintances at a party where they didn't know anyone else. 😂😂😂

Toji Fushiguro could not get his mind off of you.
Was that weird to admit?
When he last saw you two weeks ago in Teyvat’s meeting room, dolled up in that pretty pink dress, he had to wrestle every urge to push you onto his dick. All the times he had to retreat to his room afterward too—all because your one outfit had set off his imagination—forcing Toji to lock and then lean against his door so that he could palm himself through his sweats to dirty thoughts about you.
Gosh, what higher being in the universe allowed you to be such a hot and sexy tease? You sure loved prancing around with basically nothing and stealing looks at his colleagues as though he wouldn’t notice.
At this point, Toji was certain that he wasn’t the only therapist calling dibs on you. That most definitely pissed him off, though, because he explicitly told you that your pussy belonged to him.
Then why hadn’t you made another appointment these past two weeks?
Were you upset, perhaps flushed with utter denial, from the revelation that your husband had been cheating on you? Besides, he recalled how you had reacted so strongly to the information, racing away from the therapists who were just being honest with you.
In hindsight, Toji might have felt a teeny tiny bit bad about crushing your rose-colored glasses without much lead-up, but he was rarely the type to beat around the bush anyway. After all, he was the one to suggest a divorce in your first therapist appointment.
Of all things, echoing laughter was what finally grounded Toji’s wandering mind.
His green eyes fluttered rapidly, realizing that he had been in his office and staring blankly at his desk for... how long has this been? He glanced briefly at his tabletop clock. When he noticed how the time had advanced by thirty minutes, Toji rested his forehead on his left palm. “Damn...”
Given how he had a fully booked schedule today, he could not afford to dawdle in his thoughts. He had not noticed that half an hour had passed so quickly. How was it possible that thinking about one person (you) made him lose all sense of time?
He could do better than this.
‘Maybe you’re the one who needs a therapist,’ Megumi had recently pointed out to him in irony, and boy, do these words from his own eighteen-year-old son sting.
In contrast to himself, though, his co-workers had lately been in higher spirits than usual. That much Toji could ascertain given the hubbub that continued to filter into his suite. He would not have minded the phenomenon much had it not been for this gut feeling, this hunch, that you were the reason behind this change.
At his age, Toji has learned to mind his own business, but he still considered joining his colleagues by the reception desk to investigate. He stopped, however, upon noticing an article at his desk.
Right, this was what had derailed Toji from his work.
‘Look at this, boss,’ Geto had said when he first presented the printed webpage to Toji. ‘No wonder Y/N’s been lonely. Naoya literally took his side bitch to Mexico.’
The accompanying photo may be in low resolution, but Toji recognized the two figures hand-in-hand, stepping into a private jet. Their faces were shielded by baseball caps and face masks, their bodies clad in boring and baggy clothes. Consequently, Toji had to scoff, drumming his fingers along his cheekbone.
Another impeccable snapshot for our collection, huh?
Quite the scandal was brewing in Japan’s high society, not to mention how the illicit relationship involved your husband, and the therapists were merely here for the show. This was what the therapists were trying to advise you about before you promptly shut yourself away from them.
The love affair—especially involving a family as influential as the Zenin’s—should theoretically be all over magazines and newspapers, but any internet search for this image would prove futile. The Zenins were good like that, relying on under-the-table tactics to ensure that this photo would go nowhere.
Only thanks to his colleagues, who had extensive contacts throughout Japan’s many ranks, was Toji able to get his hands on this printed article before the magazine editors had taken them down.
Naoya, that cunning bastard.
If he had been in Cabo prancing around with his paramour, how did he so quickly realize that his images had been circulating among Japanese media? Or, more likely, was it his authoritarian father Naobito who informed his doltish son about the impending rumors?
Either way, Toji could not believe that he was affiliated with both assholes by blood, no less: Naoya, his cousin, and Naobito, his uncle. To think how he was involved again with the relatives who he had sought to avoid, Toji assumed that fate must love toying with him.
Already, growing up in the Zenin family was hell, to put things mildly: how they would obsess over power and prestige as though those two items alone determined one’s value as a human being, how they would scrutinize one’s every action because everything had to conform to their cookie-cutter standards, and then how they would abruptly cast aside those who strayed away from their ideals.
Toji, once an established member of the household, could speak from experience. Thus, blood relation meant nothing if these were the same people who had prayed for his downfall.
He recalled his relatives’ dirty glances when he announced his engagement twenty years ago, then the even nastier looks when he took his first wife’s surname as his own: Fushiguro. ‘She’s a woman too low for our caliber,’ Toji had been told.
He remembered the apathy he later received after his wife’s untimely death, followed by belittlement when he chose to marry again—this time, to a single mother. Perhaps he should have heeded his family’s advice for the last bit, but his decisions seemed right at the moment. During a desperate time, he provided his then-gradeschool son with a much-needed maternal figure as well as a stepsister.
His personal life already made him a deviant among his relatives, so when his family discovered his therapist ventures earlier this year, Toji was not surprised to be severed from the household he once had been considered to lead. Well, Toji was more relieved than bitter, anyway. He could now live life on his terms without worrying about what his father’s uncle’s second cousin twice-removed or some crap like that thought about him and his son.
As he gazed upon the pixelated photo again, he sighed and wondered: was this how low the Zenins have stooped since they had expelled him? A centuries-old bloodline built on relationships with the public and the powerful, now resorting to bribes and threats to sweep scandals under the rug? While watching the Zenin clan burn from afar was entertaining, the situation was also pathetic and sad.
To also think that his moronic cousin Naoya was now not only the household heir but also the current CEO of the family conglomerate. Not to mention that the family’s current patriarch Naobito seemingly turned a blind eye to Naoya’s flings. The older Zenin might have been a brilliant businessman back in the early ‘90s, but his elderly brain had deteriorated too far to see how, at this rate, his son would eventually drive the company and the prideful family to the ground.
Had you realized what you married into?
Probably not, but you didn’t deserve this.
Or, to put things the other way around, the Zenin family didn’t deserve you.
“Yo!”
Toji shot up from his seat just as his door crashed against the wall.
He turned to the sound’s source in surprise. Leaning against the entryway stood a personage with his white lab coat draped over his unsurprisingly shirtless chest. The incomer crossed his thick arms over his half-exposed tattoos, but one such arm frees itself to greet Toji with a mocking wave.
“Sukuna,” the older therapist grumbled, “I’ve told you to knock first.”
“Why?” the pink-haired man challenged, not caring how this must have been the hundredth time he heard the order. For him, this was in one ear and out the other. Rather than mind the complaint, he inspected his newly filed nails. “Worried I would walk into you fingering Mrs. Zenin again?”
“Only because that’ll make you jealous,” Toji retorted with equal spite, to which his colleague chose not to respond anymore.
Besides, as a savvy businessman, Sukuna knew how to pick his battles. He might come off as crude, but only because he understood that, with his financial acumen and incredible connections, he was an indispensable asset.
After some silence, Sukuna’s chest rose and fell with a long sigh. “Well, check your schedule, Fushiguro. You have an appointment coming up now.” Not only was he the most well-organized therapist but also the current receptionist on duty. He then huffed again. “Tsumiki’s mom has been waiting for you. I don’t know how you deal with such an impatient bitch. What the hell am I supposed to do when—"
And a hand shoved his face away before he could finish.
Sukuna, flinching from the unexpected approach, recoiled at a beaming woman that peered in from the door frame. Anyone would immediately notice that the overly excited client was beautiful. The plush of her full lips, the gentle arches to her face, the roundness in her doe-like eyes—her looks were akin to an angel constantly in awe. Most people could hardly believe that, with her youthful looks, she actually had a university-aged daughter (with whom Toji could see a strong resemblance, too).
Meanwhile, her large brown eyes scanned the office—the posters, the couch, the nearby mirror—until her gaze landed on Toji and lit up.
“Honey, I’ve missed you!”
Before someone could stop her, the woman welcomed herself into the premises, her lithe limbs swaying with her graceful figure. She sported a simple navy dress that contrasted with her true self because, as far as Toji knew, this woman was anything but simple.
In fact, as she sashayed into the room uninvited, Toji remembered the paparazzi pictures still sprawled on his desk. He caught Sukuna’s maroon gaze and scowled.
This is why I tell you to knock.
Hurriedly, Toji then pushed the photos under some files just as his client seated herself in the sofa seat closest to him. She then turned to her escort in the hall. “Thank you, Sukuna. You’re such a wonderful man.”
She might be oblivious to Sukuna’s irritation, but Toji did not miss the way his colleague hid a gag and rolled his eyes. “M'kay, whatever,” the pink-haired therapist muttered as he slinked back into the corridor.
Then, when Sukuna shut the door with him, she pressed her rosy lips together. “Aw, Strawberry Boy doesn’t want to join us. Guess he likes to play hard to get.”
“Mari,” Toji started, placing his right ankle over the other knee. He rested his back against his chair and held his hands behind his neck. “I do not think neither Sukuna nor any other therapist here is interested in you. Therefore, if you are seeking a summertime fling, I’d suggest you pursue someone else.”
Shot down, an exasperated Mari tossed her dark locks to one side, a die-hard habit of hers. “Like who?”
Like Naoya.
It was hilarious for Toji to think about how he was entangled with his cousin’s mistress, the very same lover in that paparazzi photo with the young executive. In fact, Toji had this theory that Naoya sent Mari here as a Trojan horse, a seemingly harmless client whose actual intention was to gather intel for the Zenin CEO from afar, a pretty façade to lure others into ruins. He didn’t have much evidence to back up the suspicion (yet), but he knew Naoya for long enough to be familiar with the silly games he’d play. Did Naoya and Mari really think that Toji would be so naïve?
“Well, in Tokyo, there are plenty of ways to meet people your age,” he finally suggested and had to suppress a slight smile before adding, “Unless...you’re into younger guys?”
Mari narrowed her eyes but for a millisecond. Had Toji not been at the top of his field, he would not have noticed. Nothing, however, got past him.
“But,” she responded, “I still like you most because you give me your time, Toji.”
Interesting. Because that would mean Naoya had been too busy for his poor sweetheart, hm?
No wonder Mari had been so frustrated. Life must be tough when one was merely the mistress of the Zenin Corporation’s CEO. Not only was Naoya Zenin a mediocre performer in bed, but the homewrecker role also came with no fancy balls, no formal recognition, and—if the affair was well-hidden—not enough public attention either.
Pity.
Toji leaned forward in one fluid motion, resting his elbows on his desk. “Do not misunderstand my intentions, though,” he clarified while lacing his fingers. “I spend time with you because, as your therapist, I am sadly obligated to do so.”
The woman frowned.
“Now, that’s not nice,” she pointed out, allowing her staccato to afflict him with guilt. "That’s not how to talk to your wife, my dear husband.”
And Toji snapped.
“Ex-husband,” he corrected forcefully. His startled client jerked backward in her seat, but that didn’t matter because he had to sternly remind her, “You were the one who filed for divorce, remember?”
Toji liked to think that he was a patient man. Well, he had to be. As he grew up, the pressure that came with the Zenin spotlight taught him to exert self-discipline and emotional regulation, skills that became even more pertinent in his current role.
As a licensed practitioner now, Toji was obligated to treat all clients equally regardless of background. But under no circumstance could he remove all biases when this was the very woman who split up with him, leaving his son Megumi and his stepdaughter Tsumiki under his care. Therefore, she had quite the audacity to keep visiting him at his office and still call him her husband, especially since she was Naoya’s mistress!
How sinister life could be. For years, no one—not even Toji himself—would have seen this coming: how his second wife would leave him, citing ‘irreconcilable differences’ on the divorce papers, only to become his first cousin’s secret girlfriend.
His sudden confrontation, however, must have caught Mari off-guard, for she began twirling at her strands again. “Just because we aren’t married anymore does not mean that I don’t think about you. It’s been so long since we’ve—"
“Three days,” Toji interjected. He had to hold his breath before his annoyance controlled him completely. “The last time you saw me was three days ago. That isn’t much long ago at all.”
The silence that ensued was admittedly awkward until Mari suddenly stood up.
For a moment, Toji had to hide his relief thinking that the appointment would end earlier than anticipated, but he should have known that Mari wouldn’t leave that easily. Instead, she approached him in slow steps, encircling the seated therapist like a vulture.
When she drew near, her hands skimmed up from his brawny arms to his equally well-built shoulder blades, gliding over his lab coat before her warm palms began to knead at his tired muscles.
“I...think about you more than I’d like to admit,” she whispered, an incantation that could set any lustful man’s heart ablaze. Her fingers continued to massage him in slow and circular motions, the gentle pressure over tight knots melting into a calm and comforting rhythm. “I care about you so...don’t be mean to me, alright? The words you sometimes say, they hurt me a lot.”
Her delicate hands crawled up to his chin next, her left thumb tugging at the plush pillow of his lower lip. The most dangerous thing about Mari wasn't how she embodied a young lady’s exuberance with a mature woman’s elegance. Rather, it was her ability to place spells like these. Back when he had less self-respect, Toji might have forgiven her and caved in, her simple but flirtatious touches like trances that could crumble his resolve.
But you still fuck your ex-wife?
Of all moments, your words from weeks ago decided to haunt him now, your revolted expression a clear image in his memory. His heavy-lidded eyes batted quickly as he came to a realization: Why was he doing this?
In the revelation, Toji stopped Mari’s wandering hands from traveling toward his black slacks.
“Mari,” he said very firmly. As he pulled her away from him, his green eyes held her shimmering brown ones. “No.”
“What?” Given the woman’s visible surprise, Toji could also imagine the smoke that fumed from her nose. After all, this was the same man who once would go weak on his knees for her. Mari stepped back, folding her arms defensively. “Why not?”
“You say that my words hurt you, but I would argue that you’ve hurt me far more,” the therapist explained. As he regained composure, he twirled his chair so that he could face his client squarely. “Have you heard? Your own daughter Tsumiki isn’t even returning to Tokyo for her university’s summer break because she is too ashamed to see you.”
“Good!” she shot, surprising the man with her soured temper. “Would not have cared to hear from her either! Tsumiki had always sided with you and your urchin-headed son. But you know what? You’ve changed, Toji. You, and all the other therapists here, too. I don’t know what has been up with you four, but this clinic was far better back when Naoya worked here.”
Toji had a talent for hiding the whirr behind his thoughts, but he could not conceal his surprise this time. Although he wanted to, he never bothered to mention Naoya in his appointments with Mari before. However, it turned out he didn’t have to be the first one to bring up his cousin since Mari did so herself. Had she not reminded him, Toji would’ve forgotten that Naoya was once a sex therapist too, the family pair once working several doors away from each other.
Since the opportunity already presented itself, Toji took the chance to inveigle his ex-wife. He stood up from his office chair and closed the little gap between him and his glaring client.
“Let me tell you something,” Toji started, his voice low but steady. “You genuinely think Naoya is all that great of a person? That man has received countless complaints from his former clients about manipulation and derogatory remarks. He’s disrespectful. He’s deceptive. He's a complete con man. Therefore, I would actually argue that our office is much, much better without that elitist and misogynistic asshole.”
Come on, woman. Take the bait. I’m waiting. Three, two...
“Naoya is not that kind of person,” Mari erupted, likely faster and with more fury than she intended.
Well, that was easy. Toji appeared unruffled from the outside, yet he grinned inwardly.
While he paid no mind to how the woman shook her hands from anger and flung a weak fist into his strong chest, he did—however—find more amusement when she added, “Spreading false rumors about your own relative doesn’t make you the bigger person.”
Unfortunately for her, she tended to act and speak before she thought, not realizing that rushing to Naoya Zenin’s side made her suspicious.
“What? Do my claims about ‘my own relative’ upset you that much?” Toji challenged, quoting her words. He rolled his shoulders back after pushing the woman’s hands from his pectorals. “He’s my baby cousin, so naturally, I have seen his good and bad sides. Just throwing that out there. Unless,” his voice then dropped into a deep bass, “for some reason, you know something I don’t...?”
The inflection in his tone was purposely inquisitive, and he raised an innocent brow with his questions. He could see the emotions that threatened to spill past her walls, from how she furrowed her brows in contemplation to how she pursed her lips in wrath.
But Mari bit her tongue at the very last moment. “No,” she quipped and folded her arms defiantly. “Naoya is not my business.”
Sounded rehearsed, but oh well. The paparazzi photos from their recent Mexico getaway might prove otherwise, though.
“If you say so,” Toji shrugged.
He was satisfied enough with Mari’s reactions to his cousin’s name, and he liked thinking about how two heartless people had found passion in each other. Just as Toji retreated to his seat, a knock rapped at the door and opened to Geto at the entrance.
“Time is up, boss.”
Even as the appointment ended and was followed by other clients that day, Toji’s mind buzzed into the evening.
Call him obsessed, but—for himself, for his son, for his stepdaughter, for his colleagues, and for you—he sought revenge. As Toji mulled over his strategy in his home library that night, he could feel himself about to detonate like a time bomb when the apartment buzzer rang unexpectedly.
“Megumi!” Toji’s low timbers boomed, hoping that his son would hear him from his room upstairs. He chased toward the entryway in hurried steps, calling the teenager’s name again because only the boy’s high school friends would be visiting at this hour. Toji swung the door open. “Megumi! Yuuji and Nobara are downst—”
His words vanished when, in the place of two bubbly teenagers, there stood you.
You raised your gaze from the ground, the overhead lighting leaving a warm glow on your features as you met Toji with reddened and lachrymose eyes.
“Can...we talk?”

end notes: 1) For me, this was another challenging chapter to write, as I balanced between introducing the many layers behind our main therapist and inundating you—my lovely readers—with too much information without adequate context. 2) Originally, I had named Mari something else. I changed it because her name eventually reminded me of a different anime character and I didn’t want the association. Haha.

In light of the big rebirth of Gravity Falls and surprisingly Bill/Ford.
I'd like (demand) a wholesome AU where Bill got therapy without being institutionalised after trying to start drama on earth, and instead finds Sixer entertaining enough to settle down for a bit, 'he's mortal' Bill thinks. 'He'll hang around for a few decades and be gone after Ford gets boring' Bill thinks (lies)
Ford still decides to hide his diary after a bit because of reasons I'm too lazy to come up with aside from snooping overnment agents, BUT when Stan comes over and sees the state his beautiful smart amazing older brother lives in is somehow worse than him who's currently wanted in multiple states he decides to help him out financially, Ford obviously doesn't want to just scam the town he lives at so he adds actually educational facts all around the piecs, like how an anatomically correct centaur works, thus the mystery shack still being a thing but probabky with a different name.
"THE ENIGMA CABIN" idk I gotta name this something other than "old men yaoi without the toxic radiation au"
Ford takes all the extra cash earned by the shack and tells Stan (this time NOT after having just reunited and with better wording) to live out his sailing dream and keep his research distant.
Stan does leave (peacefully might I add) but the fake ID's and other shady items still get left behind for the 'is he even our grunkle' thing to still happen.
Years go by and eventually the new pine twins get dumped at the cabin where grunkle Pines is waiting.
Basically just gravity falls except instead of a scamming funny grunkle we have an educational but socially distant (autistic) grunkle who's desperate trying to keep Mabel and Bill away from eachother because he's already endeared to her and Gravity Falls will NOT survive a Bill and Mabel team up.
Pacifica probably plays a slightly bigger role over the spirit thing, which probably intimidates Bill and causes problems, probably a dramtic argument or two.
Dipper gets therapy because I think it would be funny if him and Bill had the same therapist.
The end (pretend I did something funny here)

I found a really interesting premise that I think you would execute perfectly. The IPC has established a "mental and emotional health department" basically therapists to help with the stressed out or traumatised IPC worker and it's a mandatory thing to have one visit with them. The reader works in this department and when Topaz, Aventurine and Ratio (separately) went in, all probably thinking it's pointless. Reader proceed to read them like a book to the mineut details of their issues. How would they react? Would they come back for another visit?
thank you so much for your trust, it was actually very interesting to write 🥹
being their therapist
characters - Dr. Ratio, Aventurine, Topaz
notes - gn!reader, no romantic undertones, mostly character study
Dr. Ratio
I feel like he would be a bit taken aback at first.
He didn't expect you to go further than a few generic questions about how the latest missions have affected him and suddenly you're asking about his feelings regarding the IPC recurring him.
"Weren't you disappointed? Didn't you feel like your cooperation with the IPC symbolizes you drifting further away from joining The Genius Society? How do you view The Genius Society in general?"
It's a bit too personal for his liking but he has to admit that you are truly an expert in your field.
I can see him rather harshly asking why are you stepping out of the line with your questions since it's hardly concerns the topic of the therapy session. Not because he's too troubled by you seeing through him but simply because of the professional ethics.
When you elaborate that it's the IPC's request to make a full psychological portrait of their workers he just sighs.
His answers are short, he doesn't elaborate much. Sometimes he simply says that the topic you mentioned doesn't affect his mental state in a way that can prevent him from doing his job and leaves it at that.
He doesn't trust the IPC much since he knows better than giving a powerful organization information about his weaknesses. He does feel a certain level of respect towards you and your professionalism though.
Doesn't feel targeted or overly vulnerable even if it leaves a bitter taste in his mouth to hear his insecurities being acknowledged.
Wouldn't show up again. Mostly because of his distrust to the IPC tho.
Aventurine
Oof.
Both of you will need a drink after that.
There's just so much to unpack really.
If you try to ask him about how he feels almost dying at each mission, he downplays it.
If you ask about his childhood trauma, he shrugs it off.
I don't know how many people saw his interview for anan but everytime he's asked about something personal he brings up how he's actually lucky and hiw he should be grateful. So you get tve spirit.
Doesn't matter what your question is, his answer is the same. He survived, he was loved by his family, all his suffering led him to this, so of course he's grateful what are you taking about ha ha!
Look at his voicelines too, praising the IPC and all that. He gives you this generic answers and hopes you'll buy it.
Well you don't but you also can't force him to answer more honestly.
He himself would be deeply troubled by you reading him like that. He feels weak, defenseless. Like all he has done to protect his inner self was for nothing since you can see through him like that.
0/10 experience he won't show up ever again. Nothing personal against you, he just can't do it. Plus he doesn't trust the ipc either so.
Topaz
Honestly the most normal one.
She will at least try to be honest since she trusts the IPC (maybe a bit too much, which is also a coping mechanism and not the healthiest one, but you can't really call her out on this since you're working for the ipc and, let's be honest, they would not respect their workers' privacy, they WOULD force you to give them their personal information if needed and you don't want to make it worse for Topaz)
She may be a bit taken aback at first but it honestly feels good to talk about her struggles and inner conflicts. And I'm sure she has a lot of those since she's actually trying to do good things, still believing that the IPC can bring positive changes.
Will probably share her experience in Belobog with you.
Will use your meetings as an opportunity to sort out her feelings about her missions.
Has a lot of respect for you personally and actually tries to do some soul-searching to make your meetings more productive.
The only one out if the three of them who would come back

Pretending Azula is obsessed with Zuko won't make it true
Azula in the OG show: introduces herself to the Avatar not as Ozai's daughter or princess of the Fire Nation, but as Zuko's sister, basically hands her brother the crown twice, constantly goes back and forth between tormenting him and helping him out, and even tends to focus on mostly (or solely) on him when fighting Team Avatar.
Azula in the Yang comics: Is scheming to make him a "worthy" Fire Lord and tells him, to his face, that sooner or later he'll be forced to acknowledge they're one in the same - and she says this in the crypt of the most trusted advisor of a previous Fire Lord.
Azula in the Spirit Temple comic: Talks about Zuko SO much that both her minions and her spirit/therapist tell her she's obsessed with him.
Once again, it's not my fault canon backs ME up instead of you.

hey don’t just leave out literal god in the doise post without talking about it
Oh, you mean The Eye?
That is none other than "The All Seeing All Knowing Eye Of Ultimate Truth" . A mouthful , I'm aware, but don't worry they go by many other names- The All Knowing Eye, The Eye, Iri, Terry...
They oversee the Inbetween Spaces and the entities existing within them.
The Inbetween Spaces are a chapter of their own but in short its a place that exist ...well, between a lot of spaces : Between alive and dead, awake and asleep, Between realities themselves, between dimensions even between comic panels!
The Inbetweens is where all the personifications of different aspects of existence itself, various other cosmic entities, phantoms, ghost and many other metaphorical beings hang out.
The Eye is present everywhere at all times, in all timelines, in all universes. Despite being an ethereal entity beyond mortal comprehension, they're actually pretty chill. "Got unfinished business? Alright, take your time. Finish what you need to, the afterlife isn’t going anywhere. But remember, you can't cling to the past forever, or you may lose yourself!"
Even though the Eye is generally laid-back, they are not lenient! They keep a watchful eye on all spirits and vengeful ghosts, making sure they don’t terrorize the living too much and that the rules are respected. ((Like: "If you got killed by someone you cannot spoil who did it.That's just cheating! They have to figure that themselves" (This is especially unfortunate when your killer is pretending to be you..))
The Eye is genuinely caring and helps people move on—basically, the best (and only) therapist of the Inbetween Spaces.
The problem? Being literally everywhere and in every moment means the Eye gets easily distracted. Any attempt at therapy usually turns into a yapping session about some semi-related topic.
The Eye has been around in my works for a while. They first appeared in that one comic with Ghost Peppino
In the background I already made a bunch of stuff with The Eye. Here’s one of my unreleased comics that does a pretty good job of showing what's the Eye about.
The Eye showed up to try to get Peppino away from the metaphorical TV but got carried away when talking about other people who suffered unfortunate demises.

Ehm so, this is for an oc interaction w the beast ancients but lets say hyphotetically if a madman were to try and give them therapy, how would that go for each of em
(i know it would most likely fail but still im curious on how an attempt would go)
ohh boy so they would off fail but in different ways
It’s not a good idea to be in the same room as Saint, a death sentence I’d even say, BUT if he were to somehow sit through therapy he would basically sympathize with the therapist’s concern… but do nothing about it. maybe somewhere he heard what they were saying (esp if they say smth related to how/why he corrupted last) but it won’t change a thing; talking to Penance is like talking to a brick wall
Dragonberry thinks she doesn’t need therapy. Laughs at these so called ‘flaws’ she has, brushes away any sort of warning about her pride consuming her. She’s in high spirits but the therapist knows they’re just amusing her, not actually getting to her.
Cacao doesn’t show up to the appointment and frankly it would be really hard reaching him to begin with, but somehow if he’s there, don’t expect him to say much, if anything. Maybe he’ll look at them through the shadow of his eyes. Though the room will drop in temperature significantly if his son is mentioned, and that’s just the lucky response
Cheese—if that’s even physically her—would be similar to dragonberry, but the difference is that she can get irritated if she feels like the therapist’s digging too deep. Bringing up her trauma, her inability to let go of her kingdom and control over it, etc; she’ll say she’s had enough and de-materialize from the room. At least she was generous enough to not turn them to gold
Lily predictably is the one they can sort of talk to, but it’s mostly about her grief over Elder Faerie and her own self consciousness. Don’t expect them to be able to redeem her, but Lily can at the very least reflect; though making her change her mind on her way of dominion is a much harder battle.

gimme the Jude lore
okay okay Jude Reyes lore incoming
little breakdown first:
26 years old
he/him, pansexual, cis
played for the Trojans for 5 years
graduated with a degree in sports journalism
has adhd and depression (in the rambling bit tw right now for mentions of self harm and suicidal thoughts tying into this)
only child and still upset about it
does the most out of all my ocs to work with college players, spends a lot of his free time flying out to different colleges to work with coaches and teams cause he likes and he enjoys it (gets a lot of teasing about becoming a coach in the future)
knows english and spanish
and oh yeah he's a dealer who will play as an extra backliner if needed
blonde, 6'3, big brown eyes
got his ears pierced cause Mara said he'd chicken out
So yeah Jude graduated from USC at the age of 23 and he was recruited for olympic court when he was 25. He considers the Trojan's his family and still keeps in touch with all the upper classmen who he used to play with. He's very much taken the Trojan attitude into his professional career. He's known as a team player on the court and also a huge activist off the court. He's now involved in presenting the Day Spirit Award every year and he's incredibly proud to have been apart of the team consistently winning it. While Ilya falls into the Just Some Guy category, Jude really takes it up like 10 levels into Golden Child territory. He's the favored one for press duty and is most involved with his teams social media. He's usually the one to sit down for the little games or the ask me anything's or the interviews everyone else deems pointless.
tw for self harm and suicide mentions, you can skip to the next bolded line if you need to
Jude was diagnosed with depression when he was 19 after he came to Rhemann confessing that he had been self harming for a few months after the workload with his class got more difficult for him to manage and he started thinking about committing suicide. He was diagnosed with adhd a few years later when he was 22 and now he now manages both with a mixture of therapy and medication. He's not perfect and obviously that didn't get rid of his depression but he has always had a safe space to talk about it and to get the help he needs. He advocates a lot for mental health in general but especially where athletes where it tends to get ignored with all the pressure put on them and he brings that into all of his relationships with his teammates trying to create a safe space for them. He is a huge factor in actually getting Em, Mara, and Florian to see therapists and he's who Florian calls after his 5th attempt and takes him to the hospital.
okay heavy bit over
I need y'all to know that Jude popped into my head literally today. He was named like 3 hours ago. So this is all just kind of developing as I yap about him. He's big on team inclusion. Doesn't want anyone to feel left out. At first Ilya really butted heads with Mara and Florian cause they were Raven's and Jude was basically the one to get sick of that and tell them they needed to shut the fuck up and put on their get along t-shirt
He's generally pretty outgoing and he loves a good party. And by party he means hosting his team and having some food and drinks and visiting with every one. Though he does go a little crazy after a win and he will probably not get home till like 6 in the morning and then will sleep for a full 24 hours
He comes off as very loud and flirtatious to most people, most people will think he is flirting even when he isn't and he has accidentally agreed to multiple dates before realizing they were dates and having to awkwardly let people down. He doesn't really date much, not seriously, largely because of how involved he is with the media portion of his job. If he does end up dating (and I don't have anyone set up for him yet) it'd most likely be another exy player who is also super involved with the media and interacting with the press
and yeah that's a little bit about Jude
#thanks to everyone who asked about him <3#asks#codename-adler#my ocs#oc: jude reyes#aftg ocs#aftg oc#aftg

hiii so basically I did get admitted into psych care again. The thing this time was that the hospital I went to had their unit full so I got transferred to another place that was honestly dogshit lmao. the staff did not give a shit about treatment really and my psychiatrist there was on some power trip bullshit the whole time. buut I made what I could of it and honestly learned what I needed to through talking with other people there rather than through the ‘group sessions’ that were like 10 minutes long lmao (we literally just watched tv most of the time and the drs did not see us for shit) just a really fuckin lame facility and it really turned me off from wanting to seek out help from places like that again. I’m just gonna continue recovery with my therapist that I’ve had for a year from now on bc she’s really good though. Overall I did need the reset bc I was spiraling quickly so I am glad I did reach out for help and ended up with others who understand struggling w ur mental health/grief etc. I am happy to be home now though and my spirits are up compared to when I came in last week, so not what I expected but I did what i could with it and I wouldn’t consider the experience completely useless
#text#I’m definitely happy to have my freedom and do things again ha#also I’ve been thinking of changing my username here so look out for that but I’ll make a post about it when I do

So I've been rotating TMAGP in my head like a rotisserie chicken and. You know what happened in one incident report, I never thought about it too hard, and it hasn't come up again?
In the Voyeur episode, after Tom arrived at the movie theater, his audio started being corrupted. But not in a way that... Really makes sense? It's just that every so often, Chester would read out "[UNINTELLIGIBLE]" instead of whatever words Tom wrote and/or said into his phone
And I'm like. Where and when and why did the distortion happen? Was it during the recording itself, because of the supernatural nature of the theater? Was it when he uploaded it to the internet? Was it when Freddy archived it? Or was it when Chester read it out?
Because we have audio of Needles, Mr. Bonzo, Lady Mowbray, and Ink5oul recorded off a modern cell phone. We have audio recorded in Ink5oul's various hunting grounds, and in Mr. Bonzo's house. Hell, we have audio recorded from Sam's phone in the Magnus Institute. It only switched to the tape recorder when they got to the archivist's office
So it's not necessarily a supernatural creature, or a place steeped in the supernatural, that's distorting it
And I don't know, maybe this is a reach, but the other time we've seen bracketed all-caps text within otherwise normal transcript stuff is with our good friend [ERROR] from episode 10
So now I'm wondering, what made Tom's incident report special? More special than RedCanary's spelunking in the ruins of the Magnus Institute? More special than universe-hopping Darrien, who very likely ran into some version of Jonathan Sims and Martin Blackwood in his therapist's office?
The distorted lines below the break, with a best guess of what might've been there:
Is it a private screening just for me? The contest didn't mention *that.* That's, [UNINTELLIGIBLE], cool, actually. I'm going to head on in... Hang on a sec.
Possibly: "uh," "really"
Snacks acquired! They're obviously short-staffed, since it was the same guy working the concession stand. I feel bad. He looks super old and they're really putting him to work. He seems in good spirits though. Okay... [UNINTELLIGIBLE] find my seat!
Possibly: "I'm gonna," "time to"
So I'm almost done with my popcorn and the film hasn't even started yet. No previews or anything... Do I go talk to the old guy? I really hate [UNINTELLIGIBLE] bother him. I'm just going to wait for now.
Possibly: "to," "having to"
So it's been a minute, and the screen is still black. I can hear what sounds like... beeping. It sounds so familiar but I can't quite place it. Medical equipment maybe? There's something [UNINTELLIGIBLE] the screen... Looks like it might be a flashback or something, handheld... looks like it was filmed on an old camcorder...
Possibly: "appearing on," ?
I know that room.... How... How did they get [UNINTELLIGIBLE] This was after the accident. Mum wanted to film it for my brothers... Dad... I... [UNINTELLIGIBLE] Wait. Who is that? In the corner of the screen, there's... _(soft, more shocked than anything)_ Who the hell is that?
All of the other breaks were inconsequential, basically. Dropped helper words, filler words, easily inferable verbs. It's just this last paragraph that we're actually missing information?
So no real... Revelations here, I guess, I just think it's weird that this is the only time we've seen this kind of thing happen and wanted to type it up??

because i have a lot of headcanons to do with the kiddads given they are npcs that we dont tend to get much information on, especially in season 2, heres a shit load more! a lot of these are sad because these guys make me sad
- Sparrow starts wearing glasses in Middle School a little after they get back from Faerun, Terry Jr. starts wearing glasses when he gets to his 30's, and Grant started wearing glasses when he was in Elementary school
- When Nicholas starts to remember stuff from the Nick timeline, (basically 'becoming' Nicky if you will) scars he'd gotten from stuff in that timeline start showing up on his body, notably one is a burn scar on one of his hands from him spilling acid on it in s1 ep 34
- Lark has very scarred hands from when he was buried in the rubble in Neverwinter, though his mobility stayed relatively the same because of how quickly the wounds were healed, there was a lot of left behind scar tissue
- Sparrow has a scar across his mouth from when he was latched onto Boreanaz by his teeth when the pyramid fell
- Grant takes video games way too seriously and has in fact made his friends cry over it (Most specifically Sparrow and TJ)
- Terry didn't tell any of the other kiddads how he was going to die, just that he knew how
- Terry also knew Grant was going to be the one to kill him, but he never mentioned it, Grant was very confused on why all of a sudden TJ was becoming distant
- And he found out how he was going to die before he met Veronica, so when he met Scary he almost debated not marrying Veronica, not because he thought it would prevent his death but because he wanted to spare Scary of that pain
- Lark is incredibly confused like half the time (with basically anything) and to cover it up he usually acts stoic and tough
- Nicky is the type of person to do anything if someone phrases it like "bet you wont do *insert thing here*" no matter what it is
- Sparrow has a ton of tattoos that Nicky did for him
- Lark is colorblind but hasn't told anyone because he's too embarrassed to admit it
- For Grant and Marco's one year anniversary the kiddads all got them Titanic themed gifts, (Nicky got them sixteen dvd copies of the movie, they dont own a dvd player)
- Terry was Nicky's best man at his wedding, and Nicky was going to be Terry's best man but the betrayal happened before Terry even met Veronica,
- to add onto the angst none of the kiddads attended the wedding because it was after code purple and after they'd decided not to be involved in eachother's personal lives outside of D.A.D.D.I.E.S.
- to make this at least a little funny Veronica just doesn't think Terry has any friends-
- On the topic of weddings, Lark got so drunk at Sparrow's wedding that for his best man speech he just started reciting the Declaration of Independence (he opened the wrong tab on his phone and didnt notice)
- Grant has claustrophobia (from being inside the chimera)
- Lark used to be way better at pretending to be Sparrow but now he lacks too much spirit and gives up way too quickly for it to be convincing to most people
- Terry Jr. is extremely gullible and is usually the one Nicky would prank and trick the most just because literally everything works on him
- Nicky activated the sprinkler system at D.A.D.D.I.E.S. so much they took it out
- Terry used to talk to Jerry the Whale like he was his therapist
- Nicky would take a bunch of polaroids of the other kiddads all the time, he kept a photo album at his desk at D.A.D.D.I.E.S., it still sits there because none of the kiddads had the heart to clean it out
- Terry had beef with Darryl for a while as a teenager, for literally no reason (it was probably because he still had a lot of emotions and didn't no where to put them so he decided to just hate on his friend's dad)
