In response to the Mile High Job post, I hate that Parker implies that poor flight attendant slept her way to a promotion/better shift. Her day is super weird but her cat is fine and her life is saved. That rumor, however, might stick and that didn't really feel like Leverage to me.
Agreed!
The thing with Leverage is that it's a show from the late 2000s; it feels contemporary, but actually it is a bit dated. And, like all shows, it had some problematic elements, which get a bit more Obviously Problematic as time goes by (I am just waiting for someone to write a lengthy call-out post in 5 years' time and for the Discourse to start.) For example, Tumblr loves to declare that Leverage has a "canon" throuple, but if anyone read that and then watched the show they would be profoundly disappointed - while it's a fantastic ship with a great many shippy instances, Elliot has a lot of onscreen No Homo moments, and frequently is shown sleeping with random women (I personally read him as aromantic). Similarly, there are two big relationships in that show: Nate/Sophie, and Parker/Hardison. And we all wax lyrical about the brilliance of Parker/Hardison and how healthy it is, and for good reason; but we gloss over how unbearably "I hate my wife/father I cannot click the book" Boomer humour Nate/Sophie is.
(He literally calls her a shrew in one episode. She throws a tantrum and sulks if he doesn't remember the exact details of how/where they met. She's stereotypically 'romantic' and he's stereotypically 'cynical' and she has to Save Him From Himself, and he self-deprecatingly says he should just know when to stop arguing because she's always right. Like... it is a grubby and uncomfortable dynamic; but, it's also aimed at a different segment of the audience that is older than me, and that's okay, actually. It just means I don't much care for the ship myself.)
Anyway, this is one other such instance. Clearly someone in the writers' room thought that was a funny joke, and not enough people disagreed, and so in it went. What's nice is that Sandi McCree, who plays the other flight attendant that stays on the plane, actually kind of saves that joke for me with her performance. When Parker first boards and declares that her co-worker is not coming in, McCree looks disgruntled at the sudden change to her staff list when she wasn't informed; she's annoyed at management. Then Parker makes the sleeping-with-pilots comment, and McCree looks disgusted and furious -
An expression she then pulls at Parker every time she sees her for the rest of the episode, even when Parker is technically not doing anything particularly weird. It's not necessarily intentional on McCree's part (Parker IS very weird in this episode, so it very much can be a response to that), but to me it means you can read it as "This woman is absolutely furious at the lateral sexism of this white girl because We Love And Support Each Other On This Plane." So, for me, between that and the aforementioned revelations of the day (the plane was brought down by the domestic terrorists of a Fortune 500 company, but saved by... a few unexplained Official People who snuck aboard??? And the other flight attendant was made to miss the plane after all under mysterious circumstances and was not promoted??? What???), I don't think Sandi McCree's character wouldn't put those pieces together.

Agajajkalobesbsj love the 2 part for unwanted soul but will we have part 3 for it ? Like meeting the other guys and them reactions when they found the reader is Alastor soul owner ?
Haha. Good question. There could be a part 3 about meeting the others. But I doubt they'll be learning that Reader has Alastor's soul. Despite everything, the canon stuff did all happen, namely Alastor threatening Husk when he said Alastor was also on a leash.
Here's the kicker. Alastor saw the word 'leash' as an insult to his love and devotion for Reader, hence why he's mad and snapped at Husk. What 'you don't know/understand anything about me' type of play here.
Another point is Alastor might see the fact as his soul not being his to own as a weakness to you, like he's not strong enough when we all know he is. It's others' reaction that he doesn't like. An example is someone reacting negatively to Alastor's soul not being his or like how Husk phases it as 'leash' just doesn't have a nice ring to it.
So that's why Alastor wouldn't let others know. Plus it's a secret only for the two of you, yeah?
Now for Reader. Reader definitely wouldn't announce to people that they have an Overlord's soul to push around, especially when that Overlord is Alastor. Even more so when Alastor is that possessive and obsessive toward Reader. Red flags as far as the eye can see. This Reader, Page Demon, loves simplistic and telling people about owning Alastor's soul is just an invitation to trouble from all directions. Reader here collects knowledge and information, so Reader is also well aware of what this information can bring.
Briefly, here's your scenes in the pilot and Season 1:
Pilot: You watched the advertisement of Charlie's hotel and send Alastor over to the hotel. (behind the scenes: Alastor settled in and contacted you via the radio and you two chatted for a while) Episode 1: (near the end) You saw the news that the exterminations are happening again in 6 months and questioned Alastor what happened, to which he told you it happened after Charlie went to the meeting in place of Lucifer Episode 2: You contacted Lucifer and asked if he knew about the exterminations, he had no idea. When you returned home, the radio and TV was playing Alastor and Vox's little spat. Afterwards, Alastor contacted you to brag and you listened while reading Episode 3: Alastor told you Carmilla's secret that she killed an angel. You allowed Alastor to see you this one time as a form of 'reward' Episode 4: Alastor comes over and you two enjoy your time together. While you also try to figure out how angels can be killed Episode 5: Lucifer comes over to complain to you about Alastor and Charlie's over-reliance on Alastor, but he leaves just as Alastor starts to contact you through the radio. Alastor gets pissy about Husk using the word 'leash' to describe his relationship with you while you said there's nothing going on. Alastor whines even more that you can't watch your newest show Episode 6: Alastor tells you the extermination will target the hotel first and asks what you want to do. Your order's the same: keep the hotel up and running, aid in the princess' wishes Episode 7: Rosie nearly reveals you to Charlie but shut up about it when Alastor shook his head before Charlie can see. (behind the scenes: Rosie asks about you and Alastor happily says that he's working on the romantic relationship, Rosie gives more advice) Episode 8: You basically showed up to show the battle take place, but ended up joinning. Read part 2
Note: I think that's all. Any questions?

Freddie Fox On Gwayne
I just listened to Freddie Fox's latest interview on the Pilot TV Podcastâit's full of great insight into Gwayne's character, including a potential hint at where he's headed. I highly recommend listening yourself, especially because Freddie is so lovely, but I've included my favorite bits below (including him calling Fabien "Fabs" and "Fabby").
On Gwayne and Alicent in Episode 6
"I loved that conversation he has with Alicent. In fact, it was a scene we ended up reshooting...I was glad to have another shot at it, actually, because I wanted to give it a couple more extra beats in there that I think really show what their relationship was, which is one that's been very distant. But one that is quite loving, even if only in sort of theory, rather than practice...I did a lot of backstory on him and I feel he was very much raised by his mother who he lost very young. He's sort of been an abandoned child. And so consequently, reaching outâas well as he knows howâto his sister in that scene I thought was very touching."
On Fabien, and Gwayne and Criston
"[Fabien] is amazing fun...Fabs and I get to spend a lot of our time together, and I really, I can't put it more frankly by saying I felt like I'd known him for 20 years after having met him for 24 hours. And that's really lucky, because we do have to spend a lot of time together.
And you do need to feel, over time, that these peopleâwho are really on opposite ends politically in the court do end up, sort of, skirting each other, and then finding common ground. So it was lovely to feel like we could do that quite easily because we had a good friendship straight away."
More under the cut:
On Gwayne's Relationship With Otto
"I'm such a fan of Rhys Ifans' work generally anyway, but he has such poise and command as a performer...I watched him quite carefully thinking, is there a way I can take some of his body language into my own and see if I could, you know, sort of trace the familial kind of thing between us through body language.
That being said, it sort of then dawned on me really that we'd not really spent much time together as father and son. He's always been preoccupied with the work at Court, being this sort of Rasputin, really, character, and I'd been brought up by my mother in a completely different place."
Hints for a Gwayne Finale Arc...
"There's a mercurial element to him which is quite smart, and rational, whilst also sometimes being loaded with preconceptions as well. He really humanizes over the course of the series. I won't spoil what happens in the final episode, but it made me really endeared to him as a person going, look, you know, he's someone who perhaps was raised with a bit of a silver spoon in his mouth and was a little quick to judge initially, but as time goes on and the battle completely breaks him down, he becomes a very human, kind person."
...And potentially a return for Season 3?
"I will watch Season 2 in anticipation of prepping Season 3, but I'm not watching any of it as it comes out. It's sort of on principle, I suppose, not wanting to get too caught up in it when I'm doing other work. But I couldn't resist watching that episode [Rooks Rest, I think] and I text Fabby afterwards, and just said 'Wow, we were part of the whole thing there, that was really cool.'"

Hello!
We're noticing more people being interested in the Raggedy Ann fandom since the Amazing Digital Circus pilot released, so we thought we'd update our masterpost on where to find more Raggedy Ann media!
Books:
The first two and most well-known books are Raggedy Ann stories (1918) and Raggedy Andy stories (1920), which are in public domain and free to read online! Camel with the Wrinkled Knees (1924) (which the movie was loosely based on!) is on Internet Archive and available to read without an account. You can find many of the other books on there as well.
Cartoons:
The 1940's has Raggedy Ann and Raggedy Andy (1941), Suddenly It's Spring (1944), and The Enchanted Square (1947).
You've got the 1977 Raggedy Ann & Andy: A Musical Adventure of course.
The Chuck Jones holiday TV specials: Raggedy Ann and Andy in The Great Santa Claus Caper (1978) and Raggedy Ann and Andy in The Pumpkin Who Couldn't Smile (1979).
Most episodes of The Adventures of Raggedy Ann and Andy (1988-1990) are in this playlist here, and you could probably find any missing ones on Dailymotion.
From the Target crossover we have the animated Snowden: Raggedy Ann & Andy's Adventure (1998) and the live-action ice-skating special The Snowden, Raggedy Ann and Andy Holiday Show (1998).
Music:
I've also got a playlist of all the albums I've found on YouTube or were uploaded by us, and there's many more of the older ones available on Archive. The old Will Wooden and Frank Luther ones are very charming.
Musical:
You can watch recovered archival footage of the full first production of the Raggedy Ann musical (1984), listen to the demo album (~1985), or the Broadway bootleg (1986)!
If you're interested in more, I'd recommend exploring the saved playlists on the RARE YouTube channel or the media tag on the Raggedy Ann Fandom Wiki.
We're a group of Raggedy Ann enthusiasts who got together to search for Raggedy Ann lost media (specifically the musical), but now we collect and archive all sorts of things from the franchise! Our ask box is always open and we love to find things people are looking for, or even just chat about headcanons and such.

Progression of intimacy in Artificial Condition
Cycle 1
MB: After the events of All System Red, spent 7 cycles on a bot piloted transport, then embarks an unmanned ship, thinking it only has a low-level bot pilot.
ART: Readily responds to MB's ping, and accept media in exchange for passage to RaviHyral Mining Facility Q Station, letting MB to believe that it is just a bot pilot. It admits later that it was curious about a rogue SecUnit trying to travel on its own.
ART: Waits until MB settles down and start watching media before suddenly addressing it via its feed, and reveals its true self by dropping the wall for 0.0001 of a second.
MB: Instantly recognizes its power and implicit threat and withdraws. When ART, not understanding MB's strong reaction, tells it not to sulk, it fires back and sends a file showing its experience of torture as a SecUnit.
ART: Stays silent for 5 minutes, and then apologizes for having frightened it. [For omniscient machine intelligence like ART, we now realize that is a VERY long time. It was probably shocked by the cruelty experienced by a SecUnit, and digging up extensive information on SecUnits and how they are treated in Corporation Rim. Also analyzing why MB was reacting the way it was.] Then withdraws behind its wall, giving MB space.
MB: Watches 3 episodes of Rise and Fall of Sanctuary Moon, while trying to calm itself. Then starts to see the event from the transport's point of view. [This demonstrates its ability to understand the world from other person's point of view, known in psychology as Theory of Mind, lack of which is considered to be indicator of autism spectrum.]
Art: After further 6 episodes, quietly re-enters MB's feed, and lurks there while MB watches 7 more episodes. [No idea how long an episode is, but even if it is about 30 minutes, ART was patiently watching MB watch its favourite show at least for 3-4 hours without interruption!] Then politely pings MB to request to watch the new serial World Hoppers. When refused, repeats the request after 2 minutes. And explains that it cannot usually understand the context of media, and watching through MB's filter gives it the context and understanding.
MB and ART start watching World Hoppers together
Cycle 2~
MB: While watching World Hoppers (3 times) and other media (hundreds of hours), comes to see how ART is attached to its humans, and begins to feel "charitable" towads it, letting it to watch a potentially traumatizing episode 1 or 2 minutes at a time. Also comes to understand it well enough to create a content filter.
[There is no mention of specific time span, but it must have taken at least a few cycles to view all that media, even without recharge cycle]
ART: After 4 episodes of Rise and Fall of Sanctuary Moon, by which point ART had noticed that it was MB's favourite show, it asks if the serial has a SecUnit character. Subsequent conversation (reluctantly, on MB's side) reveals that MB does not like SecUnits in the way they are used, and even portrayed in media, because it is unrealistic, but not in a good way.
ART proceeds to ask why MB is there, surprising it because MB had assumed that the transport had no interest in it. MB reveals its brief history with PreservationAux but reluctant to talk any further. ART confesses that it is not supposed to pick up unauthorized passenger, saying that they both have a secret. MB goes as far as to admit it is going to RaviHyral Mining Facility for research, but would not say any more. And when pressed, proceeds to start a shut-down cycle.
[When MB wakes up 4 hours later, ART immediately resumes argument, calling the shut-down a childish behaviour. With ART's processing capacity, managing travel through a wormhole would not take up much. Probably lots of speculative thoughts were going through its mind while also probably looking up on everything about the Mining Facility and SecUnits, as well as past newsfeeds on Mensah's team.]
ART does not drop the subject. It presses MB saying that it should share its plans as they are now friends. MB tries to convince the transport and itself that constructs and bots can never be friends as they may have to act against each other if their humans command them. ART simply points out that there are no humans now. Eventually, MB relents and tells ART what happened at RaviHyral Mining Facility before the partial memory purge around the time of Governor Module hack. Discussion with ART gives MB new perspectives. [It is around this point that MB decides to call the transport ART, short for Asshole Research Transport. ART does not show any negative response regarding MB's grim past]
ART points out the risk of being spotted as a rogue SecUnit at RaviHyral Mining Facility Q Station, much to MB's dismay. [MB talks of "ART was doing that thing again where it asked me questions it knew the answer to so it could trap me into admitting stuff I didn't want to admit. I decided to skip to the end." This passage indicates that perhaps more conversations had taken place prior to this, and like a good university instructore, ART was manipulating guiding MB's thought processes, and MB had noticed it.]
ART suggests configuration change which horrifies MB. ART points out that its survival as a rogue SecUnit is at stake, and makes it realize that if it wants to survive and meet the PreservationAux people again, it needs to make sure it does not get caught as a rogue Unit. MB thinks it over 2 cycles, during which time ART says nothing more about it, watching media together. During the same period, MB tries to see if it can look less like a SecUnit by creating codes to make itself behave like a human. MB asks ART to record its movement, but realizes that it still looked like a SecUnit, as it meets the unit standard size which can be spotted by a scan.
[ART loves being right, but it shows genuine desire to help it survive, and tries to get MB to realize the importance itself. Probably having learned MB's character and its past (at least in part), once having given suggestions, it simply waits (and trusts) until MB comes to make the choice itself.]
Unspecified Cycle
MB and ART argued a lot over what should be done to change MB's configuration from the unit standard. ART even suggests giving it sex related organ which MB vehemently rejects.
ART performs configuration change on MB.
While MB is still incapacitated ART does search on RaviHyral Mining Facility Q Station, narrowing down the likely place of incident to Ganaka Pit.
There is no mention of time frame from the configuration change to the arrival at the destination. However, based on the facts that they seemed to know about each other a lot by Network Effect, they must have spent some quality time together talking, as well as watching media. Once they have reached RaviHyral Mining Facility Q Station, they stayed together by the Comm feed, but most of their attention was on protection of the three young humans.
Cycle 21-23?
They reach RaviHyral Mining Facility Q Station. ART suggests that MB takes on a temporary job as a security consultant (augumented human) in order to gain legitimate way to access installation site and helps it with preparation. MB protects its first voluntarily taken clients and does a lot more than what is required as a security consultant. It also manages to find out what really happened at Ganaka Pit where the incident happened before its memory purge. Throughout, ART stays with MB, keeping company, offering tactical and morale support, except when it was in Ganaka Pit and out of comm range. When they finally part company, ART tells it to keep its Comm in case they may come within the range again, to which MB could only send an acknowledgement, as it feared it would get too emotional if tried to speak.
Rogue Protocol; Exit Strategy; Fugitive Telemetry
In all the books whose timeline come between Artificial Condition and Network Effect, MB mentions ART several times, indicating that it was thinking of its friend frequently and misses it.
---------------------------------------
Not explicitly written interactions that solidified the basis for their friendship "mutual administrative assistance" probably happened from around the time of the configuration change and arrival at the station. By the time MB starts its security consultant job, they seem significantly more comfortable with each other than before. Some indications are:
MB admits that the only important thing while at RaviHyral Mining Facility Q Station was ART's comm interface.
MB could tell ART was withholding something by its a few seconds of pause and pressed it, and ART admits it has debris deflection systsm.
MB allows ART full access to its brain in order to let it use it as a bridge to reach the shuttle's control. Twice. MB has guarded its mind tightly ever since it hacked the governor module. It disliked Gurathin because he accessed it while MB was shut down, which he found as violation of privacy. Even with different circumstances, with more urgency, MB does not hesitate much nore does it seem to mind that it had to allow ART full access.
When MB was distressed at Tapan's questions about its "augumentation" after investigation into Ganaka Pit incident, ART plays soundtracks of Rise and Fall of Sanctuary Moon for MB, which calms it down. It knows that the serial is a kind of security blanket to MB.
Before meeting ART's crew in Network Effect, MB had already known that Iris was ART's favourite human.
ART was telling its crew about MB, without going into details about their adventure on RaviHyral, but in such a way that its favourite human had thought of MB as "Peri's SecUnit".
ART entrusted its fate to MB when its existence was at stake. Not to its colleagues from university. Nobody else could have rescued it except MB.
The first thing it said to MB when it came back online after deletion was, "I'm not going to hurt your humans, you little idiot", which sounds extremely affectionate.
Their mutual feelings (despite MB being very angry at the time) were apparent enough that Rhatti, only shortly after hearing them interact briefly, called it "a relationship" which horrifies MB.
Overall, they exhibit deep level of mutual affection from the moment they are reunited in Network Effect, which suggests their intimacy had progressed rapidly even before arriving at RaviHyral. Also, probably "absence makes the heart grow fonder" was also the case. ART must have been keeping track of MB's doings as much as it could. Otherwise it could not have known that it was then working with Arada at the time of kidnapping!

How I feel about Buddie...
You guys have been warned, this is a long post.
I've always liked 911 and was a casual viewer but never got involved in the fandom or anything. Of course I knew about Buddie, but I personally never saw it. Buck and Eddie have always acted like best friends and do stuff best friends do. I have never seen any scene that could be interpreted as romantic, except maybe for the "you want to go for the title" scene. But to me it wasn't enough to ship them, especially since it was the only scenes in their hundreds of scenes together that could be seen as romantic.
That being said, I've always thought the ship was cute, and I understand it because who doesn't like a good friends to lovers storyline?
I just never got involved in the fandom because their behavior reminded me of the Stucky and Destiel fandom, which were chaotic experiences for me. Some people just don't know how to handle non canon ships and act entitled, complain to the showrunners and harrass the cast. I've always tried to avoid fandoms like that, but wasn't against the idea of Buddie as a ship.
The 911 Lone Star crossover episode for me was the confirmation that Buck was into men. To me, it was obvious they confirmed he was into men but hadn't set up a storyline yet. So naturally I thought... if they set up a storyline it will be with Eddie. There was no doubt it my mind.
So fast forward, a few years, I wasn't really watching season 7 and then I see all the fuss from Buddie shippers I follow, and it makes me watch the sneak peek video from 7x04 and I'm like....For sure Buck is being jealous right? (it was the scene where Eddie interrupted Tommy giving Buck a tour)
So I decided to watch the episode convinced this was going to be the episode where they confirmed Buddie, but I was also very cautious because Buddie shippers had cried wolf too many times before.
So I was careful, but I was also convinced that this was it: "Buck was going to get jealous of Eddie hanging out with Tommy and then confess his feelings or the other way around".
And that's actually what was happening until the end of the episode, we saw Buck get jealous, and most of us assumed he was being jealous about Eddie.
We didn't figure out until the end of the episode that it was all about Tommy.
And that's the beauty of that episode because you think you're watching something when in fact you're watching something else and when you rewatch some scenes you understand it, and that plot twist was written so beautifully.
So we have Buck and Tommy have a heart to heart in Buck's kitchen and they kiss. And what a kiss... the kiss itself was Nice but the look Buck gave Tommy after the kiss was breathtaking.
From that moment on, I was rooting for them.
But I still had Buddie at the back of my mind because I was thinking, what if this is all temporary and they're planning to break them up to set up a buddie storyline? So I shipped it but didn't want to get my hopes up.
This feeling got bigger when I started watching 7x05 and I saw the way their first date ended. I thought... this is it, we might not see Tommy again, what a shame. But then Buck talked to Maddie about his date and confessed it was with Tommy. And Maddie asked: "so tell me about the hot pilot", and I thought this isn't how they'd talk about a character we never see again. But I didn't know for sure.
Maybe they were setting up a Buck x Eddie storyline....
I changed my mind when I saw Buck's coming out scene to Eddie, the scene was beautiful and at that point I still was thinking Buddie was a possibility. But one line made me think that Buddie wasn't happening: "I can't stop thinking about him".
No writer would put a line like that and have Oliver say it like that with that look, if they were thinking Buck and Eddie would have a romantic scene in the future. And if you do write that, you would get a jealous reaction from the other character, not a "You should call Tommy".
And then I was conforted in my feelings when the writers doubled down and had Buck invite Tommy to Maddie's wedding. Buck could have just apologized and asked Tommy on antoher date, but no, he invited him to his sister's wedding.
There has been absolutely no hint of a romantic relationship between Buck and Eddie throughout the season. There has never been a sign of jealousy from Buck or Eddie's side when they were dating Tommy, Marisol. If they had been setting up that storyline, the writers would put some hints here and there. Instead, they shared meaningful scenes like best friends do.
I never had anything againdt Buddie as a ship, I was even open to it, but all the times I thought Buddie was going to happen, it was because of the fandom, not because of something I saw in the saw...To me Buddie is and will stay a fanon ship.
TL:DR: I don't hate the ship, I find it cute but the behavior of some shippers has made me want to stay away from the fandom. And when I thought Buddie might be happening, the writers showed us they had long term plans for Bucktommy.

The Owl House Pilot Leak!!!
           Oh my titan.
The Owl Houseâs original pilot episode (basically a bunch of voiced-over storyboards) just got leaked and OMT. Watching it felt like experiencing the original magic of the show all over again⊠Reminding me what it was like to fall in love the first time!!! The hype and rush, the excitement to type down my thoughts after a new episode, analyzing and gushing over both big and small moments, the details!!! The pilot has reiterated all over to me again why I love these characters, from Luz's powerful earnestness, to Eda's chaotic demeanor! Itâs like having the whole show open ahead of me, the possibilities endless when knowing this is just the beginning and we could go anywhere from here!
Whatâs interesting is that Luzâs conflict with Camila doesnât really exist here; In fact Camila isnât present or mentioned at all! What brings Luz to the isles is Amity, whoâs been learning in the human world, under the guise of being a human by disguising her ears! Itâs alluded to that Odalia and Alador made her do it, though we donât know whyâŠ
But WOW that mustâve been so meta, doing S3 with Amity stuck in the human world with Luz, hiding her ears! It mustâve been a fun way to bring back the older concepts in new form! And indeed, we see a couple of stuff weâve already gotten glimpses of, such as the storyboards of Luz offering her friendship art to Amity! I love that we get to see the actual scenario of how Amity accidentally defended Luz in the first place, since we heard that but didnât get to see how it turned out.
Itâs interesting that Lumity is basically the inciting incident of the story, though I can see why the final version opted instead to emphasize Luzâs conflict with her mother. Especially with how she chooses to stay in the isles in the final draft, which leads to guilt over lying to her mom, having her âcoming outâ moment that eventually occurs in Yesterdayâs Lie, etc. So more agency when it comes to Luz losing her access to the human world. Plus in the pilot, there isn't the same emphasis on Luz trying to live out her dreams of being a witch, and her obsession with stories that ties back to Manny and forms the basis for a lot of other themes and arcs.
That said, I also appreciate what this alternate take offers, and how Lumity helps tie everything together, it really is the queerness that is such a foundational part of the âweirdnessâ theme that the show is about, and itâs intertwined with the pilot! God Luz being heartbroken when Amity dismisses the drawing⊠And then crying when Eda compliments it without realizing who itâs about! Or maybe she did, she couldâve recognized Luz there and figured out a way to stealthily make Luz feel betterâŠ!
I love Luz routinely lock-picking her locker because she presumably forgot the combination! And itâs interesting that we have a setup of there being multiple dimensions that the Boiling Isles has access to, and not just the human world and Demon Realm. That plays a role in the climax, more on that later. Given we have what is basically an airport for different dimensions, I wonder if we wouldâve seen Luz find her way back home much earlier on, under much less intense circumstances, in a S1A episode?
The âEmperorâ is also alluded to in the pilot, which we didnât get actual mention of until the fifth episode in the final show. He apparently dislikes humans and wants Luz brought over to him, is this still operating off of the âPupaâ version of the character who claimed to speak on behalf of the true ruler, trapped in their metamorphosis by him? So maybe he wasnât always human, or maybe this is Belosâ hypocritical way of âprotectingâ humans by keeping them away and in blissful ignorance of the demon realm.
We also establish Hexside much earlier! IIRC Hexside was always part of the show, but executives pushed for it to have more emphasis, which the crew continued to follow through on in S2 onwards because that had already been set up. Lilith is the principal, and I recognize the storyboards of her, including her bat transformation! We get a Tinella Nosa cameo, we see Amity, and thereâs also a brief cameo of Willow too! Nice way to set her up before her proper debut.
The âbarrierâ containing Kingâs crown turns out to just be a regular human locker, which makes me wonder if the writers updated the final draft to make it a force field that only allows humans through, because of the whole Belos twist. Which makes me wonder if in this draft, Belos is Pupa, who never was human, or maybe they realized the opportunity to insert foreshadowing into a big twist regarding the main villain. Makes me wonder if the house we see Amity enter in the pilot, which is on sale, would've had any significance like in the final show. Love how Tinella Nosa is a student at Hexside, and also Dana having to occasionally insert lines for Wendie Malick and others was great.
Lilith is a lot more openly adversarial, which is different compared to how her actual debut provides a softer side to her; I imagine this wouldâve been apparent in a later episode of the âPilot AUâ, and her transformation has me curious; Was she originally the one with the curse, but then the writers changed it to Eda? Or did they both have a curse? Eda also has an owl form she can summon and control at Will, maybe all Clawthornes have a beast mode thatâs less of a curse and more of a talent. Lilith ends up trapped in another dimension, which makes me wonder if sheâd have a temporary replacement âpossibly Pilot Bump- or if sheâd return offscreen. We see the portal key get destroyed under much more casual circumstances, though itâs less as big of a deal for this and the established âdimension portâ we saw before.
(Also, Amity recognizing Luz in the hallway⊠Everything to me!!!)
Warden Wrath doesnât exist and neither does the Conformatorium, itâs Lilith and Hexside. With her as principal and Amity as student, I wonder if we wouldâve gotten more of their relationship in the pilot AU, if Covention was a way of carrying over that former connection since Amity would be a teacherâs pet in either version of the story. And speaking of ties to Covention, itâs interesting is that Edaâs chest gem seems to be linked to the Emperorâs Coven, as âPilot Kikimoraâ uses it to control her. Curiously, we have a scene at the end mirroring what we got with Lilith in the final draft of the show!
I feel it implies that Eda DID join the Emperorâs Coven with Lilith, if only for a brief moment, but then defected; But the chest gem is basically the pilot version of the Emperorâs sigil, except with the explicit function of being a shock collar. I find it interesting that Eda still has the mirror to contact the EC with, instead of just getting rid of the thing. Is she a rogue agent who hasnât totally cut ties, because she canât? Wonât?
And the fact that Pilot Kikimora can just shock Eda at will makes me wonder if the Emperor is low-key just letting Eda roam around, which makes me wonder if heâs aware of the familial connection, is using Eda to find Luz, already knows about her doing that because of the time loop, etc. Weâd of course have gotten an episode where Luz finds out about Edaâs connection and helps her deal with the gem⊠I realize now that Luz learning Eda also wanted to join the EC with Lilith is a carryover of this idea.
I can see the ups and downs between both versions; The final draft sets up Luzâs conflict with Camila and the reality camp, which is foundational to her character arc throughout the whole show. Her pain over being âsent awayâ is just so vital that I appreciate its inclusion in the first episode. But I also like the inclusion of Lumity and the earnest desire to be friends with someone who showed her, unwittingly, any kindness at all! We get explicit bullying from Luzâs peers in the pilot, but in the final draft we also get her thoughtlessness that plays a big part in her S1 arc. And Luzâs arrival in the isles is more intertwined with Eda and King in the final version, which also feels right; The show is about these three in particular!
All in all, this was wonderful to watch! The magic was experienced all over again, not just in watching an episode, but also commentating on one that was just âreleasedâ as well? I thought the last time Iâd do anything like this was with the series finale Watching and Dreaming⊠But as Luz said, it really comes full circle with watching the first episode all over again! So maybe we have other stuff to still look forward to after all⊠At the very least, we have an eternal anticipation with an unexplored universe ahead of us, that will never reach completion; So it's like our ever-lasting final gift from TOH, and a good last one. So until next time: BBBBBYYYYYEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!

Title: Merlin is so powerful he can slow down time without even realizing it
@tansyuduri @thenerdyalien @samwinjester @cereamicwastelands @himegimiki
- Merlin slowed down during the Black Knight episode and didnât even realize it. Which is why he was the only one to see Sir Owain stab the knight.
- Merlin used this ability again when the assassin Myror tried to use a spiked lance to stab Arthur during the joust.
- Merlin also likely used it a third time⊠when he followed Aulfric Tirmawr to the lake of Avalon and allowed his magic to slow down time so he could see the fast moving Sidhe.
One of the things that I find most interesting about this ability and itâs not talked about enough in the fandom⊠is the different ways in which Merlin can slow down time without a spell.
Most people would think of Merlin slowing down time in the pilot episode, when he slowed Gaiusâs descent from the railing after his fall or perhaps when he slowed down the blade thrown at Arthur?
But those are only the beginning.
In the episode, âExcaliburâ Merlin accidentally slowed down time during the fight between Sir Owain and the Black knight without even realizing it. He didnât know heâd done it, until he realized no one had seen the fatal stab wound except him.
In the episode, âThe Once and Future Queenâ Merlin lets out his magic sweep across the arena and slowed down time in order to see the assassins lance with the deadly spike that slides out.
Yet, on both occasions, no one realized time had slowed.
Even when Merlin slowed down time near the lake of Avalon, the Sidhe (some of the most powerful magical creatures) didnât sense any change and never suspected his presence.
Thatâs extremely powerful.
Pages from the book, âSword and Sorceryâ
As Merlin watched, the young knight seized his chance. 'One well-aimed blow!' Arthur called from the stands, and there it was - Owain ran his sword through the Black Knight's chest.
Merlin cheered. But to his amazement, no one else took up the cry. What was wrong?
Hadn't they seen what had happened? And why hadn't the Black Knight fallen?
'Should we tend to his wounds?' Merlin said to Gaius as the Black Knight passed them. It wasn't that he cared if the knight was hurt - but it was part of the rules.
Gaius looked surprised, though. 'Owain didn't land a blow?
'He did, Merlin insisted. 'I saw it - Owain's sword definitely pierced him' He wondered then if he had only seen the blow because of his magical abilities - for him, time could slow down. Usually it was deliberate and he could control it, but perhaps as he had been concentrating so hard it had happened all by itself. Anyway, he knew that he hadn't imagined it.
Pages from the book, âThe Sorcerers Curseâ
Merlin let the power climb inside him, filling him with fire. The heat rose behind his eyes, giving them a golden glow. Everything slowed as the magic swept across the arena. He saw the spike slide out of the end of the assassin's lance.
Time returned to normal for Merlin. He hurried over to Arthur, catching the prince as he almost fell off his horse, and together they staggered towards the tent.

"Ma chĂšre, you are mine."
đpart One
pairing: Remy "Gambit" LeBeau x F!Reader Tags: slow burn, angst, jealousy
Remy never thought there'd be someone else besides Rogue who'd just waltz into his life, but there you were.
A/N: This fic is based on episode 5 of X-Men 97. I might make a playlist for this fanfic if ya'll want it!
Rogue had talked you into going, much to your disdain for parties.
The Genosha Gala was meant to be the biggest celebration for mutants of the year. You really didn't bother with going, since you'd originally made plans that weekend with Morph to just hang out on the couch at the Institute watching cheesy B rated movies together. But Rogue had a way of always talking you into things with that smooth southern drawl of hers.
Plus, you had never actually seen or been to Genosha yet. The thought of seeing it in person intrigued you.
"So lame. I bet you're really only going for a certain ragin' cajun. You know, one that looks like this," Morph teased you as they shapeshifted into an uncanny version of Gambit.
"Save it," you smirked, pressing a finger against Morph's lips as they leaned in for a kiss in true Remy fashion. "You know I don't care...obviously he's only going for Rogue and well, I guess I am too." you sighed, thinking of how awkward the ride to Genosha would be with Rogue, Gambit, and Magneto. Somehow, you really felt like a third wheel in all of this.
"He'd be crazy not to make at least one move on you at the gala. I mean look at you. You in that little black dress you packed in your bag would make anyone swoon." Morph confessed, changing back into their usual self as they eyed your duffel on the floor.
"Thanks, but can we drop this? The sooner this whole trip is over the sooner I can get back to watching cheesy horror movies with you in the meantime," you tucked a piece of stray hair away as you reapplied some pink gloss on your lips.
Morph simply shrugged. "I wouldn't blame you if you stayed out all night after the party with Remy. Go do your thing girl and get your man."
Morph tossed you a wink just as soon as Rogue stepped out of her room to meet you in the hallway. You could see a twinge of hurt in her features. Had she somehow overheard the two of you talking?
"Hey sugah, you ready? We best be leavin' now. Magneto is waitin' for us on the ship now. I promise I'll bring her back sooner than a hot knife through butter." Rogue quickly changed her tone as she approached you and Morph.
Rogue always looked so flawless. She could make a potato sack look good if she wanted to.
You gave a small wave to Morph as the two of you headed to the ship destined for Genosha. Gambit approached you as you neared the ship.
"Allow me," he smiled suavely as he took your duffel and swung it over his shoulder, allowing you to step inside the Blackbird.
"Always the gentleman," Rogue remarked, eyeing the two of you as she took her seat as pilot.
You and Gambit took the passenger seats in the back as Magneto and Rogue sat up front.
There always seemed to be some sort of tension whenever you, Rogue, and Gambit were in a room together. It was always somewhat stifling. Gambit had always confided you in but never as anything more than a friend. He was head over heels for Rogue and you knew that. That's why you respected his decision to pursue her.
Rogue was your friend as well. The two of you were inseparable when you first came to Xavier's School. You had the power of turning yourself into intangible energy, summoning your entire being as light or darkness that could burn or blind anything it touched, hence your mutant name, Eclipse.
You were happy for the distraction your headphones provided as you took out your cd player from your bag. 'Don't Speak' by No Doubt assaulted your ear drums as you sat next to Gambit. How ironic.
A few hours passed before you finally neared your destination. You had shamelessly dozed off, headphones long since fallen from your head to your shoulders before Gambit startled you awake.
"ughhh, this is taking forever..."Gambit sighed. You pulled your headphones completely off before nudging his shoulder. "Sorry chérie," Gambit smiled sheepishly.
"Probably needed to get up anyway," you stretched your arms high above your head before Magneto spoke next.
"Gambit, please remember that should the new Blackbird suffer a malfunction, you are the only soul on board for whom gravity would most certainly be an issue."
Rogue let out a huff of vexation. "Can it, you roosters. Look-y ahead!"
You shuffled in your seat to get a better view of your destination.
There it was in all its glory.
Genosha.
"Keeyah...They been busy doing a bit of renovating since Gambit's last visit."
You peered out the window alongside Gambit. "It's even more beautiful in person!"
Your eyes took in the vast island settled in the middle of the ocean inside its own tropical paradise.
"Isn't it though?" magneto smiled.
The Blackbird landed with ease as you all started exiting the ship.
Madelyne was the first face you could spot as Rogue quickly flew down to greet her. She and Rogue made conversation as you walked out practically side by side with Gambit.
You couldn't help but catch Gambit's words as he mentioned something about two being better than one and far better than three when he struck up conversation alongside Rogue and Madelyne.
Heh. Wouldn't you know.
Then Magneto had said that Gambit insisted on coming. You knew damn well why. And here you were on the account that Rogue wanted to show you what Genosha truly was. Maybe a quick tour of the city would take your mind off of things.
It didn't take long at all for a most welcoming distraction as soon as you witnessed a puff of blue smoke and shadow engulf you.
"Kurt!" you grinned, wrapping your arms just as tightly around your best friend. Besides Gambit and Rogue, Kurt was your main squeeze, your other wing-man, if you didn't count Morph.
He was soon teleporting all three of you around Genosha like it was nothing. Apparently, Kurt was there on his own faithful business.
Either way, you were so happy to see another familiar face.
"Eclipse, how've you been? I assume the ride here was pleasant?" He grinned as he took a seat from the balcony to look out into the vast city.
"For the most part," you took a seat next to him. He was eager to show the three of you around.
You were all soon standing in a courtyard of sorts overlooking a fountain in the city's square. There were mutant children playing in the streets, so freely and carefree, that you couldn't help but notice the vast differences already between this place and the rest of the world.
Children were so free here of the biases and prejudices unlike back home. It made your heart swell and suddenly you didn't regret coming on this trip regardless of your feelings for Remy.
"Oh my, it's just like he said it would be," Rogue spoke up almost dreamily as she watched the same scene play out.
"Who? The professor?" Gambit inquired.
You knew exactly who she meant.
But in Rogue fashion, she played it off.
Magneto to Gambit was like Rogue to you. It was so nauseatingly ironic that you could almost laugh if it weren't so cruel.
Relationships were cruel. That's why you'd never pursued anything with anyone, not even when the opportunity flamboyantly displayed itself at your feet to have a drunken one night stand with Scott before he and Jean got too close. You just couldn't bring yourself to even have a fling with someone, not if it still meant there could be feelings involved.
But god did it eat you alive whenever you saw Gambit even look at Rogue with that same longing you looked at him with. It pained you because on one hand, Rogue was your best friend, but so was Gambit. Neither one of them knew you had deep feelings for him.
You planned to keep it that way. But every time Rogue slipped off to be with Magneto, you knew exactly how it affected Remy. You were no short of a friend when he'd come knocking at your door late at night just to start ranting and popping off to you about Rogue and how much it pained him to see her with Magneto. How it pained him that he'd never get to feel her touch. And you had to pretend like his words weren't tearing and ripping you apart piece by piece.
"Daddy's chargin' pretty high rent."
Gambit's nonchalant words pulled you from your thoughts.
"Ignore him. Fly can't help but ruin honey," Rogue retorted in defense.
Ugh, here we go again with the awkward tension between those two.
"Or maybe Gambit's willing to ask questions no one else will."
He took a bite of his apple that Rogue paid for.
"Like why is Magneto suddenly mutant MVP?"
Suddenly, a plethora of lively music and singing thrummed through the air and Rogue took this opportunity to fly you and her away from the guys for a moment.
"Geez, sorry bout him. He always seems to be a Debby Downer when it comes to Magneto. It's your first time in Genosha. Rogue's gotta make lil' Eclipse feel welcome, not have her feeling like she wants to run off." she spoke to you as soon as the two of you were way out of earshot.
Oh if she only knew the magnitude of it all.
"I'm having a great time. The music, the people, it's really wonderful here! Thank you for letting little old me tag along." You offered a smile.
"That's a relief. Just wait til we get all dolled up tonight for the Gala." she winked at you, nudging her hips against the side of yours in a playful way.
Meanwhile, Remy and Kurt were still hanging back.
"For a man named Gambit, your poker face is very poor," Kurt smirked as he leaned into Remy's ear.
"Hey, mind your beeswax furball. Didn't go ringin' for no priest."
You were caught up in the vibes, the music, and the dancing when you dared look back towards the guys, offering Remy a small smile as your eyes met.
"It does not take a priest to see you and Eclipse's souls touch in every gaze. You know, I had thought that you and Rogue might have had something but I'm starting to see that may indeed not be the case," Nightcrawler suggested.
"Ain't the touch she be lookin' for. Rogue is...what we have or don't have...it's complicated. And whatchu mean? It ain't like that with me an' Eclipse."
Nightcrawler let out a hysterical laugh as he pat Gambit's shoulder. "You Americans. So theatrical Life is violins und close-ups. I blame soap operas. Just marry the belle and be done. If it's meant to be, it will."
Kurt didn't exactly say marry who.
Gambit smirked, shaking his head. He knew deep down, he'd never deserve either of you. Not to him, anyway.
"Scoundrels like me, we don't get no white picket reward. We too busy for love. Too busy sinnin'."
Kurt paused before simply saying, "There is no love without sin. For love is best measured in what we forgive."
Gambit smiled softly at those words.
A/N: part 2 coming! Let me know if you loved it and leave me some comments! â„ïž

It's home cinema manufacturing time! đŽââ ïž Gonna put my pirate show on my shelf! (I'm doing an Arts and Crafts Project and I'm making it everyone's problem.)
After seeing how much they cost, I abandoned the idea of getting a Blu-ray writer for now. For the time being, good old DVDs is what it's going to be! My TV is old and not very big, so DVD resolution is gonna be fine.
It's been ages since I last burned a DVD. For the full experience, I'm gonna create nice menus and pretty sleeves for the boxes. Graphic design is my passion! Um.
Well. First needed to find a program to do stuff with. I'm a Linux guy, so I'm using Devede. (Which is free, btw. In case someone else wants to do a low cost spot of putting pirate show on the shelf.)
DVDs fit a maximum of 120 minutes of video. So, four episodes, I thought. But after a quick attempt, the program refused to do more than three (maybe because of the menu also taking up space, and four episodes cutting pretty close to the 120 min mark?). Anyway, three episodes per disc it is. It's a pretty nice runtime for watching the entire disc, IMO. An hour and a half, and then you can return to reality to realise you should probably eat something, or go to bed because it's midnight.
OFMD with its current two seasons has a total of eighteen episodes, which is divisible by three. You get the following setup:
Disc 1: Pilot, A Damned Man, The Gentleman Pirate - That's pretty good, Stede's introduction to piracy all on one disc!
Disc 2: Discomfort in a Married State, The Best Revenge is Dressing Well, The Art of Fuckery - All bangers. Great to watch together, our boys meet and shenanigans happen!
Disc 3: This is Happening, We Gull Way Back, Act of Grace - Many romantic moments, lots of great scenes, shit hits the fan at the end there. Alright!
Disc 4: Wherever you go, there you are, Impossible Birds, Red Flags - ... Pain and angst! What have I done!?! The disc of horrors. Gotta make sure to have tissues at hand when I watch this. But hey, it also has messy bun Ed! Small mercies.
Disc 5: The Innkeeper, Fun and Games, The Curse of the Seafaring Life. - Another disc with all winners. I love all these episodes so much! (You can watch this disc to recover from the trauma of the previous one!) But seriously, this one slaps.
Disc 6: Calypso's Birthday, Man on Fire, Mermen - Great combination again. Season finale! Love and excitement!
... Honestly, except for the psychological damage of putting all the most painful episodes together, this is coming out pretty cool. Says a lot about how good the show is. I actually really love all the episodes (yes even the painful angsty episodes of massive depression). Thinking about this little project really reminded me how much I love this entire show.
So, we got a tracklist, now menus, then we can burn this stuff!
I did the menu backgrounds in GIMP. Realised I have a big folder full of screenshots I took myself, screenshots someone else took and posted on Tumblr, official promo pics for the show, and I have no idea anymore where most of them are from, because I named the files according to what's on them. Which is useful for when you want to find pics (Need a picture of cursed suit Stede? I have files named that, easy peasy!), but not so great if you wanted to give credit to whoever took a given pic you used. (It's probably @sherlockig or @ofmd-ann or @blakbonnet. Please feel credited, your beautiful screens and gifs brighten my day, and some of them are now probably part of my DVD menus. Shrunk down and cropped, but, yeah.)
I originally wanted to structure my menus as having the title of an episode, then some pics from it, then the next episode, then pics from that, and so forth, but I couldn't convince the program to give me the necessary padding between the menu items, so I ended up just putting the episode images below the menu. Still like it.
Anyway, DVD menus can also play sound! Behold a crappy video of my beautiful creation (provided entirely for sound):
It plays Gnossienne N°5!
More crappy pics of my other disc menus:
Gonna make them some nice sleeves next. Some day. Gotta make sure they all work properly first. So. I'll be on my sofa, watching my DVDs. With menus! (Edit: here are!)

A Travis Martinez Deep Dive/Character Analysis
Letâs talk about one of the most (if not the most) controversial characters in Yellowjackets! I definitely feel like many of Travisâ scenes and actions are misunderstood, so letâs dive in to his character and understand why he does what he does.
General Information
Travis Martinez is portrayed by Kevin Alves. He is described as being 16 years-old in the first drafts of the scripts, although it is unclear if he is still 16 in the final product or if he was aged up to 17 like the rest of the main cast in the teen timeline. His introduction in the script describes him as âlanky, sullen, teetering on the awkward, hormonal edge of impending hotness, a sensitive kid doing his absolute damndest to pretend he doesnât care about anything.â
Travis attends Wiskayok High School in the (fictional) town of Wiskayok, New Jersey. His family consists of his father, Bill Martinez (who is the head coach of the Yellowjackets girls soccer team at WHS), his mother, and his little brother, Javi.
Relationship with His Family
We get a very brief glimpse into Travisâ home life before the crash in the Pilot episode, but it does give us a few hints of the conflicts present in his family. We see that Travisâ parents seem to have a distant relationship, with Travisâ father attempting to give his mother a kiss goodbye and her initially being resistant to it, but giving in only when she sees Travis watching. Travis rolls his eyes at this interaction, telling us itâs a common occurrence. Maybe itâs just me, but Iâm definitely getting the sense that Coach Martinez has had some extramarital affairs and that Travisâ parents are only still married for the sake of keeping the family together.
Travis confesses to Nat that Coach Martinez was âa shit dadâ and that he âdidnât even likeâ Travis. I think, at least in Travisâ mind, he has never been good enough to measure up to his fatherâs expectations. We get to see a brief sample of what Coach Martinez's parenting style may have been like in his scene with Jackie, in which his version of a "pep talk" is telling Jackie all of the ways in which the other girls on the team are better than her. I have a feeling Travis' dad often took the same approach with Travis; a gruff, "tough-love" demeanor that only resulted in a deep sense of inadequacy.
This dynamic has affected Travis' relationship with Javi, as well. My interpretation of their relationship is that, while Travis does deeply love and care for Javi, he also harbors some resentment towards him for receiving more softness and support from their father. This resentment only grows when the plane crashes and Travis is left completely responsible for Javi. He's feeling the pressure of having to be an example of masculinity for Javi and his new role as a father figure for Javi, all while dealing with the grief of his father's death. He's overwhelmed and afraid, and therefore he takes this out on Javi, which we can see particularly in the scene where he makes Javi spit out the gum their father gave him.
Travis is likely replicating the harsh parenting style of their father with Javi; it's all he knows. But, underneath, Travis loves Javi; enough to put himself through the trauma of digging up his father's corpse to get a ring for him and to trek through miles of snow in sub zero temperatures for months looking for him after he runs away.
This is why it is so, so heartbreaking when Travis loses Javi just as he's learning to show how much he loves him. My heart breaks at the thought that Travis will have to come back home and tell his mother that his father and little brother are dead.
Toxic Masculinity
Itâs no secret that Travis is deeply, deeply insecure. And, as is the case with many young men, this insecurity manifests itself through sexism, unhealthy stoicism, hostility, and anger. It is important to remember that Travis is a teenager in the 90s, a time in which the sexualization of women in media was rampant. The Third Wave of feminism was underway, and with it came an increase of misogyny and backlash from men. Sexist jokes and comments were the norm, and Travis was likely surrounded by them in high school. As a result, we hear him call the girls "idiots," we hear him compare them to girls in porn magazines, we hear him tell Nat she should stick to "folding laundry" and "sucking ___" (we all know how that sentence was going to end). There's no true excuse for it, it's abhorrent behavior and it's unacceptable no matter what time period this is.
However, if we look into Travis' past, we can definitely find an explanation. Much of Travis' behavior can be drawn back to his insecurity and feeling that he is not good enough. We know he was bullied throughout high school as a result of Bobby Farleigh's "Flex" comment and we know that he feels like his father never really liked him; that he never felt good enough for him. Another aspect of Travis' insecurity can also be linked back to the idea of masculinity that has been fed to him by society: the strong, macho, stoic ideal. And it's clear (especially in Season 2) that Travis just does not fit this ideal. He's soft and sensitive, and because this goes directly against what he thinks he should be, he feels shame and embarrassment in himself.
And what do men do when they feel shame, insecurity, and/or sadness? They lash out. Men aren't allowed to show vulnerability, so they instead replace it with a more acceptable emotion: anger. And we definitely see this in the way that Travis lashes out at the people around him. And to make matters worse, Travis is one of the only men out there in the wilderness, making him feel even more pressure to be the strong masculine figure society expects him to be.
Reaction to Trauma
The pressure Travis feels to be "manly" bleeds into his response to trauma, as well. Travis has just watched his father die in a brutal and gruesome manner right before his eyes, and now he's out in the middle of nowhere with a bunch of teenage girls and a little brother to take care of. Most people would break down and cry.
Travis, on the other hand, is strangely apathetic. His only expression of emotion is anger. He snaps at Nat when she suggests that he help his brother, he yells at Javi and forces him to spit out the gum that is his only connection left to his father, he steals food from the others and blatantly insults them, and he essentially tells Javi to "get over it." Travis' coping mechanisms are clear: he distracts his grief with anger and he pushes away anyone that could possibly offer him support.
We see this again with another very significant trauma Travis endures: his sexual assault the night of Doomcoming. Travis is sexually assaulted by an entire group of girls, he clearly begs for them to stop (and they don't), and then he runs for his life and is almost killed. No one ever acknowledges this trauma and the next morning Travis is back to his usual ways, snapping at Natalie when she tries to emotionally support him and attempting to hurt her feelings to get her to stay away from him.
But it's clear, in both of these instances, that, underneath, Travis does care, and he is hurting. Despite him yelling at Javi, he wants to get his father's ring to make it up to him and support him. And when Nat doesn't budge and insists on helping him, Travis breaks down sobbing and admits that he "didn't want to" and that he is in love with her. (And in the script he even says that he wishes that Shauna had killed him that night, that's how strong his pain and shame are after Doomcoming!) Travis' hostile and abrasive behaviors are really a front he puts on to avoid being vulnerable, letting people in, and admitting to himself that he's struggling.
Relationship with Nat
Given Travis' tendency to push people away and hide his vulnerability, itâs not surprising that he forms a romantic connection with someone who mirrors his response to trauma: Natalie.
Their relationship starts off on shaky ground, marked by Travis' initial misogynistic remarks and even an incident where he points a loaded gun at Natalie. Despite this, Natalie is the only person who seems able to see through Travis' anger. Her own experiences with traumaâparticularly the loss of her fatherâgive her a deep understanding of what Travis is going through. Like him, she has developed a habit of distancing herself from others, driven by the pain of watching her father die and the lingering guilt of feeling responsible for his death.
This shared traumaâwitnessing their fathersâ deaths and carrying the weight of guiltâcreates the foundation of their connection. One pivotal moment that cements this bond is the scene where Natalie makes her first kill. Kevin Alves has explained that when Natalie and Travis kneel beside the dying deer and exchange a knowing look, it symbolizes the shared grief they both carry. In this moment, they are not just mourning the animal but, more profoundly, mourning their fathers together.
This scene serves as the emotional cornerstone of their relationship, which stretches over the next 25 years. Both Natalie and Travis are driven by guilt, shame, and self-loathing, and they both struggle with showing vulnerability. They have a pattern of pushing people away before anyone can get too closeâa tragic cycle that defines their bond. They are trauma bonded and similar in all of the worst ways, which is what makes them so codependent and enmeshed, as they believe that no one else will ever understand them the way they understand each other.
Of course, Travisâ insecurity finds its way into his relationship with Nat, too. When Nat and Travis discuss having sex for the first time, Travis infamously asks Nat how many guys she has slept with. Nat immediately bristles, thinking that Travis is implying that sheâs a âslutâ, but, as the scene unfolds, we realize that Travis is actually just insecure about his own virginity in comparison with Natâs sexual experience. Heâs worried that, because of Jackieâs previous comments about Nat, sex with him wonât mean anything to Nat, whereas it would mean a lot to Travis. We can see how much relief he feels when Nat assures him that it does mean something to her, and âespecially with him"; when she affirms he is good enough.
Travisâ tendency to get in his own head unfortunately makes itself known again when they actually attempt to sleep together; when Travis canât get it up and runs out of the room. I think the script for this scene reveals a lot about what is actually going on in Travisâ head:
Travisâ feelings of inadequacy are spiraling here. Heâs in awe of Nat and doesnât feel good enough, and the pressure heâs putting on himself as a result is too much for him (and other parts of himâŠ) to handle. As time passes in the wilderness and Travis lets go of some of his insecurity, we can see he becomes more communicative and releases some of his ego and insecurity as he discovers his spirituality (which we'll get into more in the next section).
Travis's love for Natalie is undeniable, but their relationship is inevitably toxic due to their shared trauma and self-destructive behaviors. After the crash, both turned to drug addiction as a way to numb their pain. Though theyâve tried to help each other stay clean over the years, their connection often pulls them back into destructive patterns. Every time Travis seems to be on the path to recovery, Natalie reappears, and she drags him back down with her again.
Javiâs death will create a huge, irreparable rift between them. Itâs likely that Travis harbors deep resentment toward Natalie, not only for surviving when Javi didnât but also for being a constant reminder of his lost brother. Yet, paradoxically, she is all he has left, and the thought of losing her, too, is unbearable. Despite their genuine love and care for each other, their relationship is fundamentally harmful.
Spirituality, Relationship with âThe Wilderness,â and Development of a More Feminine Sense of Self
Season 2 marks a major shift in Travisâ character, and much of this is due to his newfound connection to Lottie. Travisâ desperation to find Javi makes him crave a sense of hope, and therefore makes him open to the idea of The Wilderness. Travis begins attending Lottieâs rituals, and expresses gratefulness towards her for the blood tea and reassurance that Javi is alive. As Travis becomes increasingly attached to Lottie and The Wilderness, we also see him become kinder, softer, and more vulnerable. Travisâ connection to The Wilderness allows him to release the societal norms and expectations that previously guided his toxic behaviors. He can let go of societyâs idea of manhood and become a more authentic version of himself. We see that Travis has started to let himself show weakness, express emotion, and is much more open-minded and willing to consider other perspectives.
Lottie definitely becomes an important person to Travis in Season 2. I want to make something clear right now because I feel like it it very often misinterpreted. The writers have stated that Travisâ connection with Lottie is not meant to be interpreted as sexual in nature. Rather, Travisâ scenes with Lottie are meant to represent his spiritual connection with her and his need for guidance. The infamous sex scene between Natalie and Travis in which Travis has visions of Lottie present in the room is not Travis wishing Lottie was in Natâs place, rather it is meant to represent the internal battle Travis is experiencing between his romantic love for Nat and his need for hope and spiritual belief. Lottie is being shown as a spiritual, religious figure in this scene. Sheâs not depicted in a sexual manner in Travisâ visions, but rather in a nurturing, holy light.
Nat and Lottie are directly opposed in this Season, with Nat representing pragmatism and Lottie representing faith. Travis is caught in the middle with his romantic connection to Nat and his faith in Lottie. While Nat tells him his brother is dead, Lottie tells him she knows heâs alive. Travis loves Nat, but itâs clear their differences in faith are creating a rift between them, and this rift is symbolized visually in their sex scene.
While Travisâ turn towards faith and spirituality does bring out a better, more likable side of him, it does, unfortunately, directly lead to his death in the adult timeline. While we likely won't get to see any more of Travis' story in the adult timeline, I am looking forward to seeing how he continues to develop in the wilderness and how his newfound spirituality and increasing disconnection with society will change him as a person.
Overall, while Travis can certainly be a deeply dislikable character at times, his development over the past two seasons has been fascinating to watch and he definitely has some hidden complexities that are starting to reveal themselves to the audience. Here's to Travis continuing to connect to his feminine side in Season 3!

Brave Bang Bravern!: A Review for Transformers Fans
I've seen so much about this on my dash that I had to give it a try, and I gotta say, as someone who hasn't watched any new anime series since around 2008 at the most recent and I also hate the fucking military, this is a pretty good show.
THERE WILL BE SOME MILD SPOILERS. Nothing major. I'm not gonna spoil anything critical or mention characters that are introduced later etc. At of time of writing, only 6 episodes have been released.
Understanding Genre: The Trailer is A Lie
Now, while there is a trailer here, I want you to largely disregard it.
Why is that? Well, we need to talk about the "big two" robot show genres in Japan, which are as follows:
Real Robot -- This refers to a typically military setting or other serious setting, in which robots are handled as realistically as possible in terms of how they work and how they are applied. There tend to be less individual/sentient robots and more "suit" type mechs right along side human-made, more realistic machinery and mech designs, although that isn't entirely unique to this genre. Usually this stuff is labelled as sci-fi/action outside of Japan.
Super Robot (THIS IS THE SHIT TRANSFORMERS FANS GENERALLY WANT) --Essentially borderline seemingly magical robots with their own rules and in universe backstory for how they work, which isn't necessarily tied to realism. Usually this stuff is labelled as sci-fi/fantasy or space fantasy outside of Japan, since a lot of these tend to be space robots. They can be "driven" by pilots or just straight up sentient robots who are vibing with some human companions, although it's not exclusively that. It can be both, it can be neither, but no matter what, Super Robot shows are less about strict realism and more about really cool shit with robots that are basically their own people and exist according to their own rules.
Now, the trailer for BBBB (the acronym for the show is based on the Japanese title, which is Bang Brave Bang Bravern) is a COMPLETE FUCKING LIE.
It wants you to think this is going to be some dumbass GI Joe shit.
While there are elements of dumbass GI Joe shit, this is largely just to set up the premise for why shit is happening in the first place, and to help introduce the main threat (alien space creatures with fucking light beam lasers) as well as bring in our main characters under the premise of everyone having to work together to address this alien threat to Earth.
What we care about here amongst Transformers freaks is gay space robots, and this show delivers.
Getting Into Bravern: First Episode, Mild Plot Spoiler Summary
It wants you to think this is a Real Robot show.
The first episode sets things up as though it will be a Real Robot show.
There is a threat to Earth, a mystery space alien mechanical enemy, and nobody knows what the fuck to do. A military exercise between multiple nations using Titanostriders (which look very much like Shiro Masamune Appleseed-style mechs, human made in nature) to practice battle drills who are now instructed to swap over to real ammunition and go to fucking town.
Nobody knows how to do that.
They're skilled with the Titanostriders, sure, but it turns into a shit show. The alien mechanical enemies are using fucking space laser shit, it's a disaster---
--And then Bravern drops in from the fucking sky and it IMMEDIATELY TURNS INTO A SUPER ROBOT SHOW.
There's a "get in the robot, Shiji" moment where one of the Titanostrider operators, Isami Ao, is encouraged by Bravern to get inside of him.
He does. And immediately has no idea what the fuck is going on, Bravern is largely in control, and starts to blast his own theme song inside his cockpit as diegetic music while Isami is generally losing his shit, as one might do.
Humanity's reaction to Bravern is Real Robot genre type, where it is handled seriously by all the characters and organisations involved in universe, however Bravern is very much a Super Robot genre character who brings more of a Super Robot energy to the show at large.
The serious elements are mostly balanced by how fucking silly Bravern is, and there are some excellent moments in this show (currently only 6 episodes have been released) which make it entirely worth a watch.
Fun Things About Bravern Himself
Braven is very, very, very gay for his pilot.
Chances are, you've seen the screenshots of some of these moments on Tumblr already, but the delivery of these lines is magnificent.
Bravern sings his own theme song. It's the voice actor for Bravern doing the vocals, and the song itself is reminiscent of 1970s orchestrated big band energy mecha themes. For Transformers fans, it has a very Transformers Victory theme kind of vibe to it.
You gotta hear it, it fucking rules. The album cover shows Bravern holding a giant microphone.
Bravern is generally light hearted, doing his best to motivate his pilot while not hesitating to enter the action and try to defend humanity.
Now, why does Bravern care about humans so much? We don't know, but we'll talk about some mysteries in a later section below.
He is surprisingly insightful at times, while also fucking around and enjoying himself. (You may have seen screenshots going around Tumblr of Bravern with a loop of hot dogs strung around one of his chevron points on his forehead. This follows a scene in which he wants his pilot to take a break and associate with his peers for once, as a way to relieve stress. So they go to a bar, it turns out reception is positive and someone even brings weenies out for Bravern since he's too big to fit inside, lol.)
Generally, he's a very interesting mech, because we have so little information about him. He's fun, and clearly vibing, but he's also borderline if not outright obsessed with his pilot and has unknown origins, which has lead to some darker interpretations and audience discussion.
A lot of people have compared Bravern's energy to Rodimus, and generally I would agree with that. He has his high-energy silly moments, and his more serious personal moments (primarily with Isami, but also with Smith), and I think these aspects of his character work well to create a fun mech with the potential to be deep in a believable and effective way, with an equal capacity for being a doofus.
Bravern is obviously the number one reason to watch the show for most people, and I would say that if you're purely here for a giant gay space robot, then this is going to be a decent watch.
The Military Sucks: There Are Militaries Involved Yet Somehow This Is Still Watchable
I hate the fucking military, so at least the military here is depicted in an acceptable way (so far, at least). In episode 2, they waterboard Isami to interrogate him for information he doesn't have regarding Bravern, which is a realistically shitty and awful thing for the military to do-- They don't sugarcoat how fucked up the military is. These people very much have the capacity to harm their own staff, and they will do so if it means they might get an edge over the enemy.
At the same time, the actual characters in the military are depicted as primarily doing this shit out of a genuine personal desire to defeat these horrendously destructive space entities, which have attacked at least some of their home towns and home countries, so it's more personal rather than purely being a military directive that people are being forced to follow.
In this way, it's not really realistic, but everyone is on board for their own largely humanitarian aid type of reasons (there is a mission which is basically just locating survivors of an attack and then getting the fuck out) which makes the military context feel less oppressive and shitty.
Part of why this is more OK than other military depictions is because the military forces involved here are international (collaborating to defeat a global threat rather than kill each other's civilians) and because the military is clearly losing this war.
Because it's an international effort, this brings more diversity to the show-- There's a surprising amount of English interspersed between dialogue in Japanese here and there, and the military board consists of representatives from multiple nations, including some Germans who at first believe Bravern is some kind of secret American operation, lmao.
Bravern calls the military out on its shit, and essentially tells the military board to stop with the suspicious infighting bullshit and drop the internal tension because otherwise they'll all die to this mechanical nightmare creature threat.
They actually listen, which means this is an unrealistic portrayal of the military, lmao. I think they struck a good balance so far between showing that the military sucks and has problems, while also making sure that you're not really cheering for any given military force, but rather, you cheer for individual characters who just happen to be stuck doing this military shit as a premise for anything to be going on in the show at all.
So it's not the worst when it comes to the military shit; At least so far, it's watchable, which as someone who passionately hates the fucking military, is surprising to me.
It's less GI Joe and more "we just needed a reason for these characters to be involved in this situation".
Of course, your mileage may vary, but personally I found it easy to tune out or just skip through any military shit that got grating and I didn't miss anything important by doing so. At the very least, you can skip around and ignore a lot of this stuff and get right to the gay robot if that's all you want to do. It becomes clear pretty quickly what's going on if you skip around a bit, so no worries there.
Fun Speculation: What is Bravern?
Only 6 episodes are out at the moment, so there's tons of shit we don't know yet.
Bravern has a notable resemblance to a type of enemy in the show, called a Death-Drive.
Death-Drives are mecha who are distinct from the "minion" type enemies (which almost resemble flying saucers with laser gun arms and light shields), and have their own unique character designs and names.
Why these things are here, how they are here, why they are interested in Earth, and everything else is currently unknown.
Bravern looks like he could possibly be of the same mechanical species, although we don't know if that's true (yet). He has abilities that the other mecha don't seem to have, but how far this goes and what it might mean is not yet clear.
Bravern also seems to have knowledge of human media (he references The Abyss at one point and he likes 3D printing figures of sentai show characters lmao), and was immediately able to speak to the humans using language they would understand, so it's unclear if Bravern may have been studying Earth for some time before his arrival or why.
He is obsessed with his pilot and cares for him so much that he extends some care towards others purely based on their relation to Isami as co-workers; Why? What makes Isami special?
How does Bravern know seemingly every human language? How does his piloting system work? How similar is he to the Death-Drives-- Are organic beings critical to them in some way? If so, why are the other mechs killing so many of us? (These are big questions especially by the end of episode 6, due to some spoilers and a spoiler character who shows up later.)
We know little to nothing about a lot of the key elements of the show, including any motivations for the Death-Drives or what they are, what's up with the fucking UFO looking laser things, etc.
There's more to speculate on, but that would be getting into deeper spoiler territory so I'm gonna hold back on that for now.
Summary: It's Gay and Cool and Has Interesting Ideas
Bravern's not the sole source of gay vibes in this show, but it's fun that he is also a source of gay vibes in this show.
The designs are great, the Titanostriders remind me of Appleseed style mechanical suit designs which is nice, the Death-Drives are super interesting, Bravern is fucking fabulous but he's not too goofy to take seriously, and the military is unfortunately present but it's clear that they suck and are generally losing (and since the conflict is not between different groups of humans but rather is about human collaboration to defeat a non-human shared threat to our entire planet, this goes a long way to make the military shit tolerable).
It pretends to be a Real Robot show but has so much Super Robot show sprinkled in that you might as well consider it a little bit of both which the show balances pretty well.
I haven't watched an anime since around 2008 at the very latest, so I don't know how this might compare to any other robot animes since then and I am certainly not an anime expert by any means LOL, but this has been a fun show to watch so far.
It does have its problems, of course, but if you can get past the setup for the first episode (when it's still pretending to be a Real Robot show), from the moment Bravern arrives towards the end of that first episode, the show gains momentum and starts to get interesting very quickly.
It has some issues. But we're only 6 episodes in, so at the moment, they have plenty of time to potentially address those issues and we'll see where things go.
I'd recommend it if you want to give it a try!
I think there's enough here to appeal to the usual Transformers crowd and you might end up liking it, or at least having fun while watching it in the background.
If you end up wanting to to tap out then no worries-- I think it's worth giving it a shot and if it's not your thing, no problem.
Each episode is around 25 - 30 minutes, so while the first episode might feel like a slog to get through because fuck the military, once Bravern shows up the show actually gets started and I wouldn't blame anyone for just skipping to that point in the first episode and going from there, because there's nothing in that opening that you won't be reminded of or be able to figure out. It mostly just sets up the intro to the human characters and the collaboration training session, introduces the Titanostriders as a thing, and you can always go back and watch that part later if you want to.
All in all, pretty decent! Obviously we're Transformers people so we're here for the robots, and the robots are interesting and fun, and that's all I need to have a good time.
Hopefully this was a useful summary if you're interested or have seen Bravern stuff on your dash! :)
Thanks for reading!
BONUS: I forgot to mention this somehow, but there's a lot of overlap between Transformers and other Brave shows involving actual Transformers re-used in Japan for these shows; There's a good video about it here on YouTube which explains some of this, but if anyone's wondering, yes Bravern has a grounder alt-mode and it's pretty cool. Will we get a transforming Bravern figure??? We can hope!
There's another video here which mentions some of the Transformers elements in other Brave shows/Yuusha, which might be interesting for those of you who are unaware. :)

Faking It | Part VIII
Bradley "Rooster" Bradshaw x F!Reader
A/N: AHHH WE ARE AT THE GRAND FINALE!!! Y'all, I'm so sorry it took a galactic year but I hope you're still with me and that you enjoy this final episode of trope city. Thank you so much for all the support <3
Summary: Fake dating your friend, Bradley Bradshaw - what could possibly go wrong? Your sister is getting married and you need a date. You enlist Bradley's help and the rest is history.
CW: brief allusion to self-harm, swearing, making out, ANGST GALORE, fluff (not in any particular order)
Start from the beginning: Part I
Masterlist
âAre you cold?â Steven goes to take off his jacket.
âIâm fine,â you say impatiently. âJust get on with it, will you?â
Steven shrugs his jacket back on while you wrap your arms around yourself, holding in a shiver. The morning is much cooler than you expected it to be and thereâs a white mist hanging over the surface of the placid water. Steven watches you pretend to be comfortable in your sundress under the moody skies. Youâve been pretending a lot lately.
âToday, Steven,â you say through gritted teeth because youâre clenching them to avoid them chattering.
He lets out a resolute sigh, looking down at the ground. He seems anxious. âYour boyfriend,â he says with a grimace, peering up at you briefly before reverting his gaze to the dock underfoot. âHow well do you know him?â
You furrow your brows. âExcuse me?â
Steven purses his lips, kicking a stray pebble into the water. It makes a dull plopping sound before disappearing into the lake. âI suspected something was off the night of the bachelor party.â
âNot again.â You sigh irritably.
âHe had very little to say about you,â he states. âMostly just random trivia. Said you donât like chocolate.â
You raise your eyebrows calmly without responding.
âWhen the guys asked how you got together, he clammed up. It was weird.â
Youâre starting to regret your decision to talk to him. And youâre certainly no longer feeling sorry for him. âDo you have a point?â
Steven nods. âThen I went to see you. And you didnât deny that this fling with your little aviator wasnât all that serious.â
You find it ironic that Steven refers to Bradley as little considering Bradley is half a head taller than him, but you let it slide. âYour five minutes are almost up,â you respond coldly.
Steven watches you soberly, but something about the quirk of his eyebrow makes you think he might be enjoying himself. âHe has a girlfriend,â he says.
You stare at him mutely, waiting for the air to return to your lungs. Slowly, everything inside of you begins to slide out of place, as if youâve forgotten how to hold it all together. âWhat the fuck are you talking about?â you whisper. Meanwhile, every single moment youâve ever experienced with Bradley Bradshaw filters through your mind as you desperately try to pick out the details that might have, in hindsight, served as clues. The hesitation to participate in your scheme; the reluctance to sleep in your bed; the aggravating lack of communication â isolated, these events might have been meaningless but, put together, they are questionable at the very least.
âWasnât difficult to figure out,â Steven continues, unaware that your brain is scrambling to put all the pieces together. âHeâs all over her Instagram.â
âHe doesnât have an Instagram ââ
âHeâs not tagged, but itâs him alright. Some of your other pilot friends are also there, soâŠâ Steven shrugs smugly, as if heâs performed a feat and is expecting commendation. When you donât say anything, he decides to rub salt in the wound. âYou know whose Instagram heâs not on?â he asks proudly. âYours.â
You donât bother looking up at him again. The bobbing dock starts to augment your vertigo and the gentle sway of your body in the breeze makes you feel strangely detached. Youâre not thinking about Stevenâs annoying tone, or his smug face, or even the gentle nudge heâs giving you to recapture your attention; youâre devising a plan of action for the next five hours, because thatâs how long you will need to coexist with Bradley Bradshaw. After that, you will never have to deal with him again.
âŠ
You make your way across the lawn unhurriedly, not keen on spending brunch pretending to still be enamored with your fake boyfriend. The escalating number of deceptions in what was originally a straightforward plot is making your head spin.
You see him leaning over the railing of the terrace, a beer in his hand. Heâs staring out into the distance with a bit of a squint despite the dreary day. You hate how good he looks in his jeans and light, button-up shirt, the sleeves of which are rolled up to his elbows; you hate the languid movement of his arm as he takes a sip of his drink; the slow, graceful fashion with which he rests it back over the rail; the relaxed bend in his wrist. Everything about him suddenly seems despicable.
When he sees you, he gives you a smirk â the kind that sets your insides ablaze despite your growing resentment â and pushes off the railing to start in your direction. You let out a wavering sigh, trying to extinguish whatever lingering feelings you may have. Youâve resolved to omit the true purpose of Stevenâs visit; you canât imagine a worse time and place to air your dirty laundry than at your sisterâs wedding brunch with an audience of your closest family members. So, you smile back at him as he skips down the steps â youâve become quite proficient at pretending; whatâs another few hours of faking it?
Bradleyâs pace quickens as he cuts across the yard until heâs nearly running and, when he arrives, he wraps his arms around you, pulling you into an embrace. He leans down to kiss you, but you inadvertently turn away and he ends up pecking your cheek. Mistake number one.
You give him another tense smile, taking a step back because his hands are much too casually exploring your rigid body. Mistake number two.
âSo,â you say, nearly taking a chunk out of the inside of your cheek as you bite into it forcefully. âCheat on anybody lately?â you ask tersely. Mistake number â
âExcuse me?â he says, taken aback.
So much for pretending. You watch him coldly as his expression transforms but, as it turns out, you have nothing else to add.
âWhat did he say to you?â Bradley asks, eyes darkening under his converging eyebrows.
You let out a derisive laugh.
âWhat did he say?â he repeats.
You glare at him. âYou know exactly what he said.â
Bradley bristles. âAre you fucking serious right now?â
You watch him impassively, as if his betrayal has had zero effect on you. âAre you fucking serious, Bradley?â
Bradleyâs offended expression turns to hurt as his eyes sweep over your features. âYouâre not even going to let me explain?â he asks in a grating whisper.
You scoff, his words confirming that there is, in fact, something to explain. âDoes she know youâre here?â
Bradley shifts his jaw, his eyes narrowing. He studies you quietly for a few moments.
âWhat baffles me,â you say. âIs how easy itâs been for you to just lie about it.â
âWasnât that the whole point of this?â he asks coolly.
You chuckle although his words sting. âYouâre right. This was all an act and Iâm just the idiot who fell for it.â
Bradley eyes you contemptuously but says nothing.
âYou almost slept with me,â you whisper, your lips trembling as you concentrate on keeping your voice steady. âDonât tell me that that was your objective this whole time.â
Bradleyâs eyebrows crease as he tries to follow your line of reasoning. âYou think I agreed to this ridiculous stunt just so I could possibly have an opportunity to fuck you?â he hisses. âWhy would anyone put that much effort into one â not even guaranteed â fuck?â
You watch him angrily although he does make a valid point. âWhy are you here, then?â you ask, trying desperately to keep your volume down. âYou have a girlfriend!â
âFirst of all,â Bradley says stonily. âHad.â
âWhen?â
He lets out a sigh.
You shake your head at him with a disdainful smile and raise your eyebrows expectantly. âYesterday? Last week?â
âI broke up with her after you asked me to come here.â
âWhy?â You shrug indifferently as though you really couldnât care less.
âYou begged me to come.â
âI didnât know you were seeing someone!â you bite back.
Bradley lifts his eyes to nod politely at your grandparents as they pass the two of you toward the stairs leading up to the terrace. Then he hooks his arm through yours and starts dragging you away from the venue toward the docks by the lake. You struggle against his grip, but he doesnât let go until youâre far enough away from the crowd to be out of earshot. âSo what?â he rounds on you in a low voice.
You stare at him in disbelief. âYou didnât tell me.â
âIt didnât come up.â
You scoff incredulously.
âYou didnât tell me about Steven.â
âThatâs not the same thing. Steven and I havenât been together in months.â
âThis wasnât supposed to be anything, Y/N,â he says roughly. âIt was all fake. Why would I even think to tell you about her?â
You look down at his brown dress shoes as they sink into the red clay of the bank, feeling the unmistakable pressure of tears as your eyes begin to well up. âIt was all fake, wasnât it?â you mutter.
âNo, thatâs notâ â the brown dress shoes take a step forward â âyou know thatâs not what I meant.â
âHow long have you been with her?â you ask, cutting him off.
âWhat does that matter?â he says wearily.
âIt matters,â you respond.
Bradley sighs and looks out at the lake over your shoulder. âSix months.â
You close your eyes and take a breath. âThatâs a long time.â
He nods, sucking his cheeks in as his jaw shifts forward. Heâs studying your face thoughtfully. âYour turn,â he says.
âWhat?â
He licks his lips. âHow much of it was fake?â
You scoff again, shaking your head. âIâm not doing this.â
âSo, itâs fine putting me on the spot, but you canât answer a simple question?â he says irritably.
âI put you on the spot because you lied.â
Bradley watches you coldly. âWhen did it stop being fake, Y/N?â
âI donât know!â you shout in frustration. âWhen did it stop being fake for you?â
Bradley stares at you blankly. He runs a hand over his face, looking down. He furrows his eyebrows before glancing back up at you with a bewildered expression, as though he canât believe youâve just posed exactly the same question he had asked you. âIt was never fake for me,â he says hoarsely.
You stare at him as a flurry of emotions does a nauseating dance in the pit of your stomach. His answer has taken you by surprise and you canât think of anything appropriate to say in return.
When you donât respond, he adds, âYou canât possibly not already know that.â
You slowly shake your head, wanting more than anything to believe what he says. âHow would I know?â
Bradley watches you in amazement, exhaling with a small laugh as he takes a couple steps toward you. He lifts his hand and places it tenderly on your cheek. âTwo months ago,â he says. âI walk into the Hard Deck, just looking for a cold beer and a night off. And the first thing I see is you behind the bar.â
You feel yourself melting right into the palm of his hand, lulled by the smooth rasp of his voice.
âYouâre new,â he says, and then chuckles. âYouâre definitely new because you canât tell an ale from a lager.â
You wrinkle your eyebrows. âA what from a what?â
Bradley grins briefly before continuing. âYouâre fucking stunning,â he says in a throaty whisper. You feel his face drift closer to yours just as the wind picks up. He brings his other hand up to tuck your hair behind your ear. âAnd I come up to the bar and you havenât even said a word to me yet, all you do is look up with these wild, frantic, most beautiful eyes Iâve ever seen, as youâre desperately trying to figure out the exact ratio of gin to tonic in somebody elseâs drink.â You bite your lip sheepishly, remembering your first night working the bar. Bradley smiles at the memory. âYouâre meticulously measuring out the two ingredients â which tells me, right off the bat, that youâre an extremely conscientious person â and, after youâre done, you look me right in the eye and say, âYou look thirsty.ââ
You laugh through your tears. âI did not say that.â
Bradley chuckles. âYou did. And I was,â he adds.
You snort at the insinuation but then Bradleyâs hand begins to trail down your neck, disrupting your train of thought. His touch is disarming and you try your best not to sink into him despite every impulse to just give in. The truth is, thereâs nothing he can say that will change the fact that he played both you and his ex. So, you bring your hand up and wrap it around his wrist, pulling it away from where his fingers are resting over your heart. âDoesnât matter,â you say quietly. âNone of it matters anymore.â
âHow could you say that?â he asks, his breathing ragged.
You sigh mechanically, expertly keeping your emotions in check. âThis changes everything,â you say. âI feel like I donât know you, Bradley. I mean, I donât know you.â
Bradley shakes his head. âThatâs not true.â
You close your eyes as if not looking at him might make it easier. âYou need to leave,â you whisper.
âLook at me,â he pleads.
You open your eyes and focus your gaze on the greenest grass youâve ever seen. Only, today, itâs grey. Must be the weather.
âY/N,â Bradley urges, his voice cracking in his desperation. âLook at me. Please.â
âNo!â The force of your response surprises even you. âYou have to go,â you say resolutely.
But as you start to walk away, you hear him calling out to you. âYou owe me!â
You turn around in confusion. âWhat?â you say under your breath.
âYou heard me,â he says, marching toward you with purpose. âYou owe me. Anything I want, remember?â
You stare at him incredulously. âYou canât possibly ââ
âI know what I want,â he says, taking several final strides toward you before clutching your hands and holding them in between his chest and yours. âI want you â I need you â to hear me out.â
You wince as his face nears yours. âThatâs not fair,â you whisper.
âPlease donât do this,â he mutters. âPlease donât. I â Iâmâ â his face contorts uncomfortably as he searches for the right words â âI messed up,â he says. âIâm sorry. Please.â He rests his forehead on yours. âPlease forgive me.â
The irony of suffering through a real breakup with your fake boyfriend is not lost on you. Itâs absurdly painful considering youâve only realized you had feelings for this man mere days ago. But itâs not just Bradleyâs towering build; not just his sculpted arms and chiselled chest that give you pause. Itâs every little thing heâs ever said and done. Itâs the pepper spray, the heels, the pillow wall; itâs the dancing, the kiss; itâs the way he looks at you. Itâs Bradley.
You taste the salt of your own tears as they slip into your parted mouth. You want to kiss him so badly, just a little, just for a moment, just one last time. And as his lips hover hesitantly over yours you realize why. Itâs simple, really. Youâre in love with Bradley Bradshaw. How reckless of you. How wildly inconvenient.
âŠ
You wipe at the spotless counter aggressively as your mind wanders once again to that fateful day three weeks ago when you did not, in fact, get to kiss Bradley Bradshaw just one last time. Not even for a moment, not even a little bit.
âItâs clean, I think,â you hear a voice at the other end of the bar. You glance up to see Jake Seresin slide out a barstool and take a seat at the counter.
âDidnât hear you come in,â you respond, glancing at the clock. Itâs barely eleven and the place is deserted. You walk toward him reluctantly, having encountered neither Bradley nor any of his friends since the day of the brunch. âLost another bet, Seresin?â you ask, eyeing the wide brim of his tan cowboy hat.
He smirks, lifting the hat off his head and setting it down on the bar. âFunny.â
You toss your towel under the bar and place your hands on the counter. âWhat can I get you?â
âOh, Iâm not here to drink,â he says.
You sigh quietly, reaching for your towel again. The truth is, you havenât gone a single day without thinking about what could have been if you hadnât stopped the kiss. If you hadnât pushed Bradley away. If Bradley hadnât hurled Steven into the lake.
You glance up at Jake as he fiddles with something in his hands. He eyes you pointedly. âI think you know why Iâm here,â he says.
âŠ
âWhy are you still here?â
The booming voice of your ex-boyfriend rouses you, effectively disrupting the moment youâre having with Bradley. You withdraw from the embrace, separating your hands from his as you step away.
Bradley is shaking his head. âDonât listen to him,â he begs.
You blink up at him with a sniffle and wipe your eyes. âHeâs not the problem,â you say.
Bradley juts out his jaw as Steven steps into his field of vision. âI asked you a question,â Steven says forcefully.
Bradley watches him coldly. âDonât start with me, Steven,â he says quietly.
âYouâre not welcome here anymore,â Steven continues, bringing his shoulders back as he tries to tower over Bradley.
âSteven, stopâ â you try to intervene, but Bradley cuts you off.
âI said,â Bradley hisses as he straightens his back to reciprocate the gesture. âDonât start with me.â
Steven chuckles. âWhat are you going to do? Hit me?â
Bradley turns away. âYouâre not worth it.â
Just when you start to think that the matter will work itself out peacefully, however, Steven shoves Bradley in the back, sending him stumbling slightly downhill. Bradley regains his footing just as Steven comes after him and blocks his subsequent attack, pushing him away. âIâm not fighting you!â Bradley roars.
âSteven, stop it!â you shout, running after them as Steven continues trying to provoke Bradley.
âWhatâs the matter?â Steven asks nastily. âDid I blow your cover, hotshot?â
Bradley narrows his eyes and his hands curl instinctively into fists. He looks like heâs about to snap. âBradley!â you scream.
âŠ
âBradley,â you say calmly, meeting Jakeâs gaze.
Jake nods. âIâm going to have to be honest,â he says. âLiving with him has become unbearable. And, well, we blame you.â
You roll your eyes. âThatâs not my problem.â You drop the dishtowel onto the counter and start wiping anew.
Jakeâs hand lands over the cloth and he yanks it out of your grasp. âListen here,â he says. âI donât know how he fucked this up because he wonât say a goddamn word about it. But youâre gonna tell me what happened because Iâm tired of this mess yâall made.â
âI didnât do anything,â you say.
âI highly doubt that,â Jake says with an insincere smile. âThe guyâs fucking in love with you, thereâs no way he left you of his own accord.â
âThe guy had a girlfriend of six months he didnât think to tell me about,â you lash out at Jake, wiping the grin right off his face. âHeâd been coming to the Hard Deck almost daily for two whole months without even mentioning her existence. And then he had the audacity to tell me he liked me from the moment we met? Either he was the shittiest boyfriend ever or he wasnât as into me as he claims to have been. In any case, heâs a liar.â
âŠ
âI didnât lie about anything,â Bradley says steadily, watching Steven advance toward him once more. âThere was no cover to blow.â
âPlease!â Steven cackles. âThe two of you fabricated an entire relationship!â
You close your eyes, much too tired to pretend any longer. If Steven is hellbent on divulging this particular secret, you arenât going to be the one to stop him.
Bradley glares at Steven. âYou donât know what youâre talking about.â He turns to look at you somberly. âI love you! I have been in love with you since day one,â he says. âI donât even remember what not loving you feels like.â
âBut you had a girlfriend,â you say agonizingly.
He nods, his eyes filling with tears. âYeah,â he admits. âI did.â
âŠ
âHeâs not a liar, heâs a victim of circumstance,â Jake reasons.
You blink at him skeptically. âIs the circumstance that heâs an asshole?â
Jake snorts. âMaybe I will have a drink,â he says, scrunching up his nose.
You sigh and reach for a tumbler. You set it down on the polished counter and, giving Jake a pointed look, reach to grab a second one. He chuckles as you pour the whiskey.
âNeat,â he comments. âJust the way I like it.â
You sigh and down the glass with a straight face. âWhy didnât he just end things with her sooner?â
Jake sets his drink down after taking a swig. He narrows his eyes. âWait, he didnât tell you?â
âŠ
âTell him, Y/N,â Steven says forcefully. âTell him to get the fuck out of here before I beat the shit out of him.â
âSteven, stop it!â you cry. You turn to Bradley with a frown. âYou should go,â you say quietly.
Bradley shakes his head. âIâm not leaving.â
âYou heard her!â Steven yells, lunging forward to give Bradley yet another push.
But Bradley completely ignores the attack. He continues watching you miserably as though he hasnât just been unceremoniously displaced by an angry meathead. âYou donât want me to go,â he pleads with you.
You drop your head, closing your eyes. âI do,â you lie.
âIt doesnât matter what she wants,â Steven steps in between the two of you obnoxiously.
âSteven, for fuckâs sake, just leave!â you scream.
Steven rounds on you aggressively. âIâm trying to help you, you ungrateful cunt!â
But before you can respond with a few choice words of your own, Steven is yanked from the spot and launched into the lake like a frisbee. You gasp as he hits the water while Bradley just folds his arms and watches the ripples, waiting to see if Steven can swim.
âŠ
âHe tried breaking up with her,â Jake says, watching you cautiously as though heâs unsure whether he should be sharing this information with you.
You furrow your eyebrows. âWhen?â
Jake sighs and adjusts his posture, getting more comfortable in his seat. âThey were on the rocks way before you came into the picture,â Jake says. âHeâd tried breaking up with her several times actually, including the night he met you.â
âWhat do you mean âtriedâ?â
Jake narrows his eyes. âWhy didnât he tell you this?â
âTell me what?â
âŠ
âAre you happy now?â you yell over the lapping of the water.
Bradley turns to look at you wearily. âLess annoyed,â he says stoically.
âWell, now that weâve managed to completely ruin my sisterâs brunch,â you say, glancing up at the crowd of spectators gathered on the edge of the patio, âyouâre free to go.â
You hear some sputtering near the dock as Steven tries to drag himself out of the water. Bradley nods, sliding his hands into his pockets. âI wouldâve told you about her,â he says. âI wouldâve told you everything.â
âŠ
âShe wouldnât let him break up with her,â Jake says, carefully studying your reaction.
âWhat do you mean âwouldnât let himâ?â you ask.
âPour another round,â Jake says.
You sigh sharply. âJust spill it, Seresin,â you grumble impatiently, grabbing the bottle of whiskey.
âShe threatened to hurt herself.â
You freeze mid-pour and look up at him in shock.
âThatâs enough for me, thanks,â he says, reaching for the bottle still tipped in your hand.
âIâll have it then,â you say, sliding the full glass of whiskey toward yourself. Silently, you lift it to your lips and take a giant gulp.
âEasy,â Jake says with a cringe, pulling the tumbler out of your hand.
âSo,â you breathe, staring blankly at the bar. âHe was stuck.â
âHe was stuck,â Jake confirms.
âŠ
âIâm stuck!â Steven calls from the end of the dock.
You huff in frustration and give Bradley one last menacing look. âJust go already, will you?â you say tiredly, heading out onto the dock to help Steven out of the water. By the time Steven is on land and you turn around, Bradley is gone.
You glance over at the terrace where the crowd has started to disperse while Steven wrings out his clothes. You consider for a moment running after Bradley; catching him before he packs to leave. But then you feel Stevenâs cold hands snaking around your midriff and you squirm.
âWhat are you doing?â you yelp, jerking away.
âBaby, just admit that you want me back,â he says lazily. âI just saved you from that asswipe. Donât be a bitch now.â
You turn around in outrage and, just as Steven flashes his phoney grin, you push him back into the lake.
âŠ
âSo, how was he finally able to do it?â you ask, plopping a couple of ice cubes into your drink.
âHe got lucky,â Jake replies. âHe caught her cheating.â
You scoff. âLucky.â
Jake shrugs. âWell, under the circumstances. He just wanted out.â
You stare at the ice melting in your whiskey. âI canât believe he didnât tell me.â
âDid you give him a chance?â Jake asks, gulping down the rest of his drink and rising from his seat.
You look up at him guiltily.
Jake clears his throat and places several bills on the bar. He taps on the counter a couple of times with his palm and then says, âHeâs distracted in the air, Y/N. Iâm worried about him.â
It makes you sick to think of Bradley unfocused in the cockpit, and youâre repulsed that itâs never occurred to you before, considering how often you daydream about the events of that unfortunate weekend. Of course, heâs been thinking about it. Of course, itâs been distracting him. You close your eyes and lower your head.
âJust talk to him, will ya?â Jake says.
You swallow uneasily, wondering what the fuck you could possibly say to Bradley after having completely blown him off, but you nod anyway. The least you could do is apologize.
After Jake leaves, you notice a folded piece of paper together with the bills heâs left behind. You pick it up to examine it. Itâs your list â the one youâd given Bradley so that he could learn to be a more convincing fake boyfriend. You unfold it to find that heâs added his own notes to accompany yours. Things like, âthis is absurd and you know itâ in response to âI donât like chocolates but I love chocolate cakeâ and âsounds like somebody else I knowâ in response to âsteer clear of Aunt Barb â sheâs very pushyâ.
You smile grimly, realizing how badly youâve fucked up.
âŠ
The next morning, you get permission from Pennyâs boyfriend, Maverick, to visit the hangar while the squad trains. Youâre sitting at one of the desks, listening to the boom of military aircraft as you nervously twiddle your thumbs in your lap. When you hear the unmistakable yelps of excited pilots just outside the hangar, you let out an anxious sigh and stand up.
As youâre rising from your seat, you see Bradley amidst the group of cheerful aviators, smiling and nodding as one of them claps him on the back. When he notices you, however, his smile falters and he slows to a halt, staring at you in disbelief. Heâs got his helmet tucked under his arm and a chute bag slung over his shoulder and you realize that youâve never seen him in his flight suit and that perhaps, if you had, youâd have fallen for him much sooner.
The other aviators look on as he starts removing his gear while walking toward you. The expression on his face is so intense that your already galloping heart feels like it might spring right out of your body. He sets his helmet down on a desk and approaches you slowly, his dark eyes searching yours carefully.
You gulp uneasily when he nears; the relief of having him stand right before you is something you hadnât expected. Even given the currently ambiguous status of your relationship, being close to him feels right.
âUh,â you utter. Good strong start. You close your eyes and try again. âUmm.â You shake your head and blink up at him.
Bradley lifts his eyebrows sympathetically but doesnât say anything.
âCan I talk to you?â you blurt out breathlessly.
Bradley drops his gaze and your heart sinks. He hates you, obviously, and youâre an idiot for coming. But a moment later, he looks up from under his winkled brows and nods.
He places a couple of fingers on your arm and, as you try to suppress a shudder at the subtle contact, he nudges you softly, leading you toward the back of the hangar where you could have a private conversation behind a couple of parked jets undergoing maintenance.
Once youâre alone, you find it hard to look him in the eye. Bradleyâs hand drops away from where heâs holding your elbow, but his fingertips trail down your arm and catch briefly on your fingers before he lets go.
âBradley,â you say quietly. âI donât even know where to start,â you admit.
Bradley moves closer, his head so low that you can feel his breath on your cheek. The torment of being this close and not touching him is probably exactly what you deserve, so you decide to suffer through it in silence. Until, that is, he brings a hand up, lifting your chin with a couple of fingers. His eyes glance over your face before meeting your gaze. âLetâs just start over,â he says.
You look at him in wonder as his hand glides up your arm. âHow?â you whisper. âIâm already in love with you.â
For a moment, Bradley is completely still, watching you intently. The look of sheer want on his face absolutely paralyzes you because the concept of mutual desire where Bradley is concerned is something youâre still struggling to accept. You blink at him mutely, forgetting altogether that you came here to apologize, not ogle him in his flight suit and mentally undress him without a momentâs respite.
Bradley lowers his face, furrowing his eyebrows as he glances down at your lips. You notice the tightening grip on your arm as his breathing grows heavy; the slight incline of his head as his other hand drifts weightlessly up the back of your neck.
He makes you weak and he muddles your thoughts and how could you possibly be expected to remember something as superfluous as an apology when his eyes are begging you to just kiss him already? You let out a breathy whine, twisting your hands into the material of his flight suit and pulling yourself into him until your lips meet his.
Bradley exhales sharply, bringing his hands up to your face as he steps forward. You let him steer you into the wall in behind, clinging onto his wrists as he cups your cheeks. His tongue pushes into your mouth as his hands drop down to your waist and slip underneath your tank top, squeezing your flesh.
You melt into his touch; you want his hands all over you, clutching you, catching you, holding you. A soft moan travels from your mouth into his as his fingers dig into your body, and he presses you into the wall with a shaky sigh.
âBradley,â you murmur as he grasps your ribcage.
âBaby,â he breathes, his thumbs gently stroking the band of your bra. His âbabyâ is so soft, so different than Stevenâs, itâs like an entirely new word. And you donât want anybody other than Bradley to ever call you âbabyâ again.
âBradley, Iâm so sorry,â you whisper. âIâm sorry that I wouldnât listen to your side of the story.â
âBaby,â he mutters again. He lifts his eyes to look at you achingly. âIâm so fucking in love with you.â He takes your hands and brings them to his lips, holding them against his mouth. âI donât care about anything else.â
You smile at him, grateful that he isnât holding a grudge. âKiss me again,â you say, pulling on the collar of his flight suit.
Bradley grins, towering over you as he brings his arms above your head and around your back. He kisses you gently this time, like heâs finally confident that you wonât vanish the moment he lets go. Itâs warm and sensuous and lingering, itâs his lips pausing to appreciate every taste and every breath and every texture. Itâs the rhythm of his tongue, excruciatingly slow, searching for ways to make you moan.
He pulls you closer, tighter; holds you firmer. You sigh into his mouth, you whine for more, you claw into the fabric of his suit. He reciprocates your urgency, driving you back into the wall with force and pressing his mouth hungrily to yours. You gasp, throwing your head back as his messy kisses trail down your neck, as his hands grope every part of you with fervor until youâre almost too weak to stand.
âY/N,â he pants into your neck. âIf we donât relocate in the next few minutes, Iâm going to end up being dishonorably discharged for indecent exposure.â
You giggle as he kisses you repeatedly along your collarbone. You would like nothing more than to relocate so that the two of you can be indecent together. âItâll have to wait,â you say, stroking his hair as he growls in response.
âIâm not waiting any longer,â he mutters into your neck.
You laugh and shake you head.
âCome home with me. I just need a minute to grab my things.â He pulls insistently on your waist.
âIâve got work,â you say mournfully. âMy shift starts in half an hour.â
Bradley looks at you in alarm, as though the prospect of spending the next several hours apart is unacceptable. âTake the day off.â
âI canât do that.â
âSure, you can. Tell Penny youâre feeling sick.â
âIâm not feeling sick,â you respond disapprovingly.
He squints his eyes at you with a mischievous smirk. âFake it.â

My thoughts about tadc episode 3
Okay, Okay, I know I'm 3 days late... but I've explained the whole thing about watching with my BFF. So, here we go:
Some points:
- Kinger: the whole thing with Kinger and his wife made my perception of this character change a lot... after knowing he has a computer science degree and used to *hate* bugs before make me think he was rather a serious man, who thought about everything logically (which makes sense, since he is a piece of chess). Because of that, Kinger would likely avoid spontaneous activities and venturing out of his comfort zone. However, after meeting someone, in his words, funny and creative, Kinger started to open up to new ideas... I think Queenie was the exact opposite of him, which I think is why she is a queen chess piece, but black, representing she would likely oppose to Kinger. The checkmate couple might have had problems to adjust each other personalities...
-Zooble: lil baby ;-; and the way Zooble goes all soft when speaking about Gangle's shyness I'd precious.
- Caine: My beliefs he is not an AI but more likely another human strengthened. I know I'm probably wrong, but I don't think it's normal for an AI to feel so upset and when he is talking to Zooble that skipping his adventures could hurt Bubble's feelings it highly suggested to me he could not attribute those feelings to *himself*, as he is supposed to think he is an AI and can't feel human feelings. Again, it's very likely I'm wrong
-Martha: I had a theory that Martha and Ragatha were the same person, but it was proven to be wrong. However I loved Martha's character mostly because of my
âšïžđđ°âïžBunnydoll:
I was advertised about bunnydoll old married couple vibes... I just didn't know it was so much in there. Jax is always looking to Ragatha... even when Caine Is talking to all them, he will stand up and look to her like this
We have Ragatha angry "Jax!" Like we had in pilot and episode 2... I do think it's intentional.
But nothing compares to Martha's comment about "you know how men are" when speaking about her husband and Ragatha replying "Don't I know it?" And looking straight to Jax... if it's not old married coded, I dunno what it's. And don't get me started with the little red wagon ride.
And last, but not least, Pomni.
I like how she thanked Ragatha for all the help the doll gave her. There was a moment Pomni said "he just wants me to suffer." And idk why I think she was not talking about Caine, but someone like her boss or something like it. Pomni gives me the impression she often thinks everyone else is hoping something bad to happen to her and it gives her lots of insecurities and fears, and it could be something that happened in her job... and deep down she doesn't want to be forgotten and want to be told she matters.
In general, I loved the starting scene where they are spending time together. I think when Jax holds his breath, his tail gets unplugged from his body and becomes like a rubber ball XD I like how Ragatha wasn't like most people expected her to be like, because most thought she was babying Pomni in the 2 previous episodes, when actually she was concerned because poor jester saw an abstraction on her 1st day there... she wasn't trying to be a mother hen to Pomni.
Now let's wait for episode 4 ^^

hi my love itâs gg here
itâs time for a loooooong update
so there is tension that is building up like a background buzz in the gc bc remember that on main they have to look mindful and demure bc they know the cast and crew lurks so the anger the madness the pettiness needs to stay hidden
they were so happy in ep 1 but what they really wanted was that emergency even more than them living together bc tommy helping wouldâve established his role in the 118 and how new work partner for buck
this emergency was going to give them interaction with the 118 but mostly with athena and since they have already buck and bobby talking about tommy they wanted athena too
they needed him to be a hero so everyone was going to be grateful to him
first they were sure about ep2 bc they thought the tim wouldâve really have him being landed inside the hole in the cockpit and then they were sure about ep3 bc if the 217 truck is there he NEEDS to he there otherwise too much waisted potential
and they are mad MAD rn bc the spent all summer so sure he wouldâve been main, that ostark and lfjr wouldâve promoted the show together, interviews, joint photoshoot, him being featured in the poster, him in the promo, him being the white savior of the plane emergency
and seeing this kind of deranged in their closed quarters where no one can really see im really âscaredâ of what they will do when tommy is going to go away
Hello baby đ©·
Wow, imagine spending months raising hell just to be wrong in all fronts. They got a random flight instructor to talk Athena through the landing, they had a literal child being her copilot, not a single mention of him along with the implication that 217 is the not harbour since it was referenced as an engine, and Hen and Chim were the first ones on the plane to help. And that along with the scene he was in to remind the audience he exists was about Eddie and he did not fit in. He's not established as part of the firefam, he's not in the field with them even though he could've easily been included. Plane emergency, no one thought about him, and they played themselves because at no point watching Athena and Jem land that plane anyone thought "oh wow this would be better if we had a real pilot". He was gonna be a main and 3 episodes in, he has less than 2 minutes of screentime in the season, he's completely irrelevant. No promo, no interviews, 2 lines and absolutely nothing of substance. I would feel bad if I wasn't getting death threats. I'm just laughing. Well done, guys, you went to war for racist tree #3 and you're losing badly.
#this made happy after some of the message that were in my inbox this morning#he's nothing#they are pissed#the episode was INCREDIBLE#life is beautiful#911#911 spoilers#i really need a tag for asks#anon đ#spy network#gossip girl anon#buddie might not happen. i have to accept that possibility. but i do know for a fact that man will be gone by the midseason#and they went to war for nothing#anti bucktommy
