Wanna start off by saying I don't condone cheating ever !! And I would never write a fic where the reader gets back with the character after they cheat. With that being said, the only fics I have ever seen of that (very VERY few) they have put trigger warnings at the beginning to let you know what you're reading. And for the people who say that the reader shouldn't go back because their partner yelled at them... Guys PLEASE !! I understand that yelling isn't something that should be excused, you should never put your partner in a position where they are scared or feel uncomfortable. However, I also know for a fact that everyone reading this has at one point in their lives yelled at someone. Being loved isn't about loving someone with happy rainbows there's gonna be bad days which I find realistic enough. Partners argue, sometimes relationships even take breaks and people get petty and people yell but you know why?? Cause we're human !!! It's in our nature if we're angry or annoyed or whatever it may be. Of course this behavior shouldn't be excused if it's constantly on show. Although denying the fact that you'd ever get back with someone after they yelled at you during an argument is a little bit childish. I don't mean hate to anybody whatsoever I'm just saying that you're dating a human (hopefully) not an alien (you'd be surprised on Tumblr I actually can't rule that one out) they have emotions and while sometimes they can be misplaced... Finally, after all the adventures of mind flayers and tadpoles, you were happy to finally settle down with your lover. Astarion was happy with the predicament too, even if you also wanted to find a way for him to walk in the sun again...but he suggested you should take a break first, or else your body might start falling apart.

So you took his advice and the two of you had been taking things slow for the past few months. You two had the rest of forever to find a way for him to be in the sun again, there wasn't a real rush. So with that in mind you finally started wearing your hair down more often, it was already rather long but the length really showed now that it wasn't tied up or braided to keep it out of your face.

But there was one thing you couldn't stop thinking about. It was something that was prominent in the area you grew up in and was something you hoped you would be able to continue with whoever you ended up in a relationship with. But considering your relationship with Astarion was forged in the midst of chaos it was never really the time to bring it up to the vampire.

But tonight the man saw you looking over a book. It had instructions for several different styles of braids but all of them were too complex for you to do yourself. You hadn't even noticed that Astarion had been behind you until he placed his hands on your shoulders giving you a peck on the cheek. His eyes glanced over the page and it instantly caught his attention.

"My, my what's this?" His knuckle stroked the page inquisitively. Looking up at him you smiled.

"Ah just some braids, where I'm from there was something called a courting braids..." You trailed off a bit slightly embarrassed at the thought of it. Astarion gave your shoulder a slight squeeze urging you to continue.

"Well, if you want to?" You smile up at him and suddenly Astarion seems so excited. The two of you get into a more comfortable position so he could properly do your hair. He gets to work looking at the guide for the braid and twisting your hair gently into the shape on the page. Once he's finished Astarion marvels at his work quite satisfied with himself.

"Oh my I do say you look rather dashing in this style" He chuckles before grabbing two hand mirrors handing you one and he holds the other to get a good look at the intricate braid. His handiwork is honestly remarkable, must have been from his skills in embroidery  transferring over to another.

"You did a wonderful job Astarion~" You smiled as you looked at it. Turning to face Astarion, he was still rather excited by this new found talent he had discovered and it gave you an idea. "How about you do another more complex one?" Suggesting to him and his eyes seemed to light up at the prospect.

"Are you sure?" His eyes were filled with a sense of light at the prospect but he couldn't help but ask if it was really alright. He was still cautious about such things but you couldn't blame him, it’s not like though healing from trauma was a one fix all. Of course you give him an enthusiastic nod.

Then the man sets off to work trying another braid from the book, something much harder to replicate for certain. As you sit there his hands playing with your hair is a rather soothing experience, it takes a while but eventually he finishes this one. It's slightly rougher as he is still getting used to the process, but it demonstrates such skill and talent regardless.

Over the next weeks, Astarion continues to braid your hair. Sometimes he puts in flowers or ribbons or whatever other decorations he thinks would look nice against the color. Today he chose a more simplistic braid instead of his normally complex art pieces. But as you went about your day the braid ended up coming undone.

You were a little distraught as all his hard work became undone. Upon seeing this Astarion wasn't upset at all in fact.

"Oh dear~ such a shame I have to braid it all again" His voice was dripping with sarcasm and sass. Scoffing a bit in response to obvious tease, but then sitting in front of him.

"Alright, let me see what I can do" he smirks a bit letting the hair fall where it may and then getting started on something a bit more secure. As he works his magic looping the hair in on itself, adding a ribbon to help keep it in place.

Once he was finished he proudly showed off his work, a smile making its way across your lips as you take in his work. "You are quite skilled at this, love.” Turning to him you gave him a gentle kiss which he reciprocated in kind.

I’ve been rereading the current anime arc in the manga, and finally got to The Apology™️, and I wondered what words Katsuki used before translation.

Disclaimer: I’m sure others must have posted about this before but I couldn’t recall reading it myself. I do remember there was a lot of talk about the way he used “gomen” as the Japanese fandom were saying how cute and childlike it sounded, so I thought I’d see if there was anything else interesting there.

Oh, my sweet sweet baby boy…

So, just before he says ‘Sorry for everything’ (ima made gomen), he says:

“Itte dōnika naru mon ja nē kedo… Honne da…Izuku”

Which in the English translation, gave us:

And “speak my truth” is lovely and all, but the word from the original that stuck out for me was ���honne’.

I’m not sure how familiar most people are with honne–tatemae (I only know about it because I go way way too in-depth when researching for my fics lol), but it’s a concept that every Japanese person is deeply aware of, and underpins much of their society.

Here’s the Wikipedia intro:

Ohhh, that is some extra juicy context for Kacchan’s speech. Essentially, he is saying that everything up until now has been his tatemae, a public façade to protect his own position (strong, powerful hero etc), but that he can’t keep that up and he wants Izuku to see his honne, his true, private self.

But WAIT! There’s more!

How much do you know about second-person pronouns in Japanese? (Nope, this isn’t about ‘kare’ again this time hehe).

You’ve probably noticed in the anime that Kacchan says “Temee” a lot, and you may have also noticed that it tends to get translated as cursing. So it actually just means ‘you,’ but like a really rude way of saying it, such that the only way of reflecting that in English is to replace ‘you’ with something like Bastard or Asshole.

Again, have an expert explain:

This and the below are from a very excellent article about second-person pronouns and how they are used for context and drama in anime specifically. I’d recommend reading it as the context is really interesting!

So although pronouns aren’t actually commonly used or necessary in much spoken Japanese, when they are used, it’s a deliberate way to tell you about the relationship dynamic between two characters.

But why, you may ask, am I talking about pronouns again?!

Because, dear friends, throughout the first half of his speech, Kacchan uses ‘temee’ as usual to describe his past with Izuku. I’ve highlighted it below, and pls also note the shaky speech bubble showing his nerves during the ‘honne’ section. 🥺

HOWEVER, straight after he says he wants Izuku to see his Honne, Katsuki switches pronouns from ‘Temee’ (v rude), to ‘Omae’ (very casual/familiar). Below is the page after the apology.

Considering we now know pronouns are not necessary to convey meaning, that’s a hell of a lot of omaes on one page!! Boy cannot get enough of saying it.

If you want more about the different pronouns, see below for a helpful table of common uses for both. And please indulge my shippy heart for highlighting the second usage (but, like ‘kare’, you never know)…

Katsuki is showing Izuku immediately and repeatedly that this is who he wants to be to him and how he wants the world to see them. His honne, his inner desire, is to be close to Izuku, to treat him as an equal.

He’s not just saying sorry, he’s showing that—at least from his perspective—things are going to be different from now on. But, like, also, that this was how he felt about him in private the whole time?! GAHHHH.

So there you go, the apology that was already a massive turning point in their story/relationship was actually even deeper and more beautiful than we all thought. Yet again, Japanese conveys nuance and intention far beyond what can be translated. 😭💕

I was just thinking of how much a troll the manager is on twitter. I'm gonna delve into how the manager is with managing social media for the girls later, cuz girly does a LOT and is TIRED, she runs all departments.

But no she really is a troll frl. She's not really active on twitter as far as doom scrolling but she'll comment here and there. I can totally see her roasting people who say anything flavorful about any of her girls, or even the few friends she's made with other basketball players.

I love so much that “Bepo is Law’s weakness” is arguably canon. It’s not “Law’s weakness is cute things” like some ppl in fandom try to say since Law is pretty visibly unaffected by Chopper, little kids, all the standard “cute things” in OP. It’s literally just Bepo and his cuteness that has an effect on Law, and we see it in reaction to Bepo going “🥺” when Bepo was sick, letting Bepo hug him all the time, taking Bepo to Uta concert only bc he knows Bepo wants to go, etc. LawBepo is such a perfect ship, massively underrated ship frfr 🩷🩷🩷🩷

Saying all this to say that "oh Law is weak to Bepo's cuteness because he is like Law's baby" (implying child) or even worse = when people call him a pet They grew up together - 4 year difference is forgotten about -you are peers - yes of course Bepo is both subordinate and looks up to Law as an stronger smarter leader etc. but thats not a parental dynamic at all.

its a very serious, rational and collected guy and his favorite guy who he spoils in big and little ways and have been spoiling him their whole lives...

i love that Law saved Bepo from getting his ass beat and dying alone and brought him home and they just stayed in that dynamic their whole life and both became adults but this "Bepo is precious and weak af and i love him" pretty much didn't change.

"I'll do my best for you and help where i can because you are so amazing" there is zero of his own ego. He is comfortable in his "lower rank" role, he doesn't strive to be Law's equal he knows he can't be! Law san is the greatest!!

Law is happy with it too because he is a protector in nature (look at his bigass crew ;-;♥) so bepo being HAPPY to be protected makes him happy too. It makes Law feel strong and good, it plays on his ego in a positive way being looked up to and sought out as a protector - yes it's pressure (that Bepo does his best to elevate) but it's not negative and Law takes it happily, it's good to feel needed. And it all started with Bepo and they preserved that - Law is always strong and cool leader and protector and Bepo is always UUUU CAPTAIN 🥺😭🥺😭🥺😭

Hello! So this is my take on how Ruben would be like with a pregnant reader. I honestly enjoyed writing this so much, I was literally crying thinking about how beautiful this experience would be with him 😢🥺 Thank you to the person who suggested it, I hope you like how it came out!

Ruben Dias as a dad to be - headcanon:

-So to be honest I think being pregnant with Ruben would be a planned thing. Just because I think that he is such a responisble guy and he just takes things seriously. So i think first he would want to wife you up and then maybe have some time just for the two of you to enjoy your marriage. And then when you two were ready you would start trying for a baby. Do you know the video in which he says that for him football is a way of preparing to have a family one day? Like that to me just screams such a responisble man and it's so hot for some reason. (Also just imagine all the baby making, that would be soo hot 🥵- maybe I will write something about that too?)

- But the moment you tell him that you are pregnant he would be sooo happy. I imagine it like this: you take the test when he is in training and you are so happy when you see that it is positive and you literally can't wait to tell Ruben. So you would plan this little thing: cook his favourite dinner for him, get all dolled up for him, do your makeup all pretty, wear his favourite dress of yours, favourite perfume. So when he comes home he already knows something is up. After he greets you with a hug and a sweet kiss he asks "what's the occasion angel?" and you're like "oh, it's nothing, just wanted to do something nice for you". And he would be like " Thank you baby, you look so pretty". So you serve the dinner and you eat, you are having a nice conversation, he is telling you all about his day and their preparations for the next match. After you're done eating you move the plates to the sink and than you go back to the table and you take a seat on his lap and you say "I wanted to tell you something" and he gives you a curious look. "I'm pregnant, you're gonna be a daddy" you tell him with tears in your eyes. And at first he is a little bit shocked but within a second the biggest smile comes onto his face and he asks "for real?". You just nod, tears already streaming down your face from happiness. He captures your lips in the sweetest kiss and then gives you the biggest hug. You spend the rest of the evening cuddling on the couch, he is giving you little kisses, his hand keeps wandering to your stomach, caressing it gently and you two are talking about your baby and the family you are about to start together. The evening is absolutely perfect, full of love and little giggles.

- I love the idea of him gifting you a necklace that says "mama" after you tell him about your pregnancy. That would be so cute.

-I think at first you would be kind of private about it, so you would wait a little bit with announcing it to the world. You two would probably post something once you actually start to showing and your bump gets harder to hide. But you would share the news with the people you love, your family, friends way sooner. I think he would be so excited to tell his parents, his brother, friends, his teammates, your family and friends. He'd be such a proud dad (to be 😂) while you two were receiving congratulations from everyone.

-If you thought he was protective of you before you were pregnant you were wrong. Once you are pregnant he isn't letting you out of his sight when you two are out, he always wants to be touching you, keeps you close to him. If you two are out and there is a lot of fans and people around, and they are getting too close to you for his liking he would have this angry look in his eye and he would try to get you out of there as quick as possible. And once he does and he looks at you his eyes are all soft again and he's just at peace because he knows you are all safe now.

- I am convinced that some people on the internet would be suspicious of what's going on even before you two officially announce it, because they see the way Ruben acts around you. Maybe there would be a picture of Ruben putting his hand on your stomach when you two are out, and he does that out of a habit, without even thinking about it. But it would definitely make people wonder.

- He would be so in awe of you when you're pregnant. He always loved to compliment you, but once you get pregnant it's just on another level. He adores how you dress up in all your cute dresses and outfits and how adorable your bump looks in them. Constantly telling you how beautiful you look carrying his baby. But also he would be reminding you how strong and incredible he thinks you are for literally growing a small human being inside your body any chance he gets. He would be so thankful for you making him a daddy and he would make sure to let you know 🥺 He would tell you how kind and compassionate and caring he thinks you are and how he thinks you will be the best mom because of that.

- He would do anything to keep you happy at all times. He'd go out in the late evenings to the supermarket if you're having some weird craving. He would massage your feet if they were hurting. He would be randomly bringing you flowers when he comes back home from training.

- He would also get extra serious about making sure you are staying hydrated and giving your body enough nutrition. He would love to cook for you, telling you he just wants to take care of you and his baby.

-When it's getting close to your due date you two would set up the baby room. And just imagine this - you are leaning against the doorframe watching him shirtless, just wearing some sweats, sitting on the floor putting together furniture for the baby. He would help you choose the color palette and you two would go out shopping together for things for the baby. He would get absolutely anything you want, if you just point at something and say you think it's cute there is no way he's not getting that.

- He would definitely read books about newborns, and becoming parents and all that stuff. And you two would talk about it, telling each other about the things you have read and learnt. He just wants to be the best dad so he would try to get as educated as he possibly can.

- He would adore your bump. He would be caressing it, kissing it, talking to it. He gets even more obsessed with touching your belly once the baby starts kicking. You would definitely make the joke how they will be a footballer just like their daddy.

- He would try his best to go to all your appointments with you, he would be holding your hand, listening carefully to what the doctor says to make sure he knows how to take care of you the best he can. Can you imagine the appointment during which you hear your baby's heartbeat for the first time. He would be absolutely beaming, gently wiping tears of happiness off of your face, giving you a little kiss on your forehead. He would definitely keep the sonogram in his wallet and best believe he is showing it off to everyone.

- I think looking for baby names with him would be so much fun! He would have so many ideas. Maybe he would even make a list where you guys can write your suggestions and he would put it up on the fridge so whenever either of you have a new idea you can just add it there. And you two would totally have conversations about the baby names on the evenings.

- I mentioned how he wouldn't let you carry things in the soft dom headcanons. But once you are pregnant he is so extra about that. There is literally no arguing with him on this one. If there is anything you need to do around the house that would require lifting anything he is doing it when he's back home for training. He can't have his girl doing that stuff.

- If one of your symptoms was morning sickness he would be so sweet, holding your hair back for you, caressing your back.

- If your back is hurting or you are experiencing any kind of symptoms that would make you uncomfortable he would be so soft for you. Cuddling with you, getting you everything you need, telling you how he wishes he could take your pain away.

- If there was some sort of celebration or a party with other man city guys and you are too far along and decide you can't go, because it would be too much for you at that stage, he would either stay home with you or go just for a little while and come back early. Even though you ensure him you have no problem with him going and telling him how you think he should have fun and enjoy himself.

-Whenever you're feeling needy for him he would make love to you in the sweetest way. I think at first you would usually opt for missionary. But when your bump gets bigger and it's kind of getting in the way he would love to do it while spooning you. He would be so gentle with you, careful not to hurt you. Kissing you, touching you so gently, his words so sweet and loving. He would absolutely worship your body and show you how grateful he is to you for carrying his baby.

-Overall, Ruben would be the perfect partner to go through pregnancy with. Even if it was a hard time for you he would make it all worth it in the end.

It’s even more lonely when you’re by yourself. You had told Minho he had you all to himself before he left. But your mind still runs to hyunjin every other second of the day, even though you don’t want it to.

‘Maybe I should text Minho, tell him I’m okay.’ I think to myself. I grab my phone from the night stand and pull up Minhos name. A bunch of unread messages appear on my screen.

I’m standing by the front door waiting for him to pull in when I hear a voice behind me. “Where are you going?” Ash asks. “Oh.. um, I-” I stutter, trying to come up with something in my head. But it was too late, Minho’s headlights flash through the windows as he pulls in. “Y/n…. It’s only been three days.” She sighs. “Ash, I know. But I need this. I need to see him.” I say. She shakes her head. “You have to quit putting yourself into these positions.” She says before heading upstairs. I let out a breath before making my way to Minhos car. He gets out of the car as I make my way towards him, he quickly engulfs me into a massive hug. “I miss you so much.” He whispers. I hum in agreement. “Let’s get out of here.” He says, pulling away and opening the car door for me.

“Have you talked to hyunjin?” It’s been a few hours since Minho’s picked me up. We’ve been at this park talking and holding one another, trying to make sense of everything, trying to make things okay again. “No, I haven’t,” I state. “You probably should” he says. I look at him confused. “What do you mean?” I ask. “Well, at the end of the day. He’s still one of my best friends. And I know he needs you just as much as I do.” He explains. “You said you wanted it to be just us…” I question. “I know. But him and I have talked and we-” he begins before i cut him off. “You’ve… talked?” I ask. Minho stays silent. “When did this happen?” I ask. “Yesterday…” he says. “I know what I said about him being an insatiable asshole, and all he ever does is bring you down. But, I think he’s actually trying to change this time. He told me he had counseling set up, he’s going to quit drinking. He said he loves you and misses you. He said he’d try to get ahold of you, but he doesn’t want to force anything.” He says.

And like the universe was sending messages through the three of us… my phone starts to ring. I tell Minho to hold on a second, searching through my bag for my phone. “It’s him.” I whisper, showing Minho my phone screen. He gives me a soft smile and nods, telling me to answer. “I’m gonna go to the car, give you some privacy.” He whispers, walking away.

I hit the green button on my phone and bring it to my ear.

“Hello.” I say softly.

“Y/n….” I hear him sniffle over the phone.

“Hey… are you okay?” I ask softly.

“Please…” he begs quietly.

“Jinnie… what’s wrong?” I say, beginning to panic.

“I’m sorry… I’m so sorry.” He sobs.

“Hyunjin! What is wrong!” I yell into the phone.

“I can’t do this without you…” he whispers.

“What did you do hyunjin?” I ask in a panic.

“Don’t be mad at me… please.” He begs.

“Where are you?” I ask. There’s silence. “Jinnie… please, tell me where you are.” I say.

“Home.” He whispers.

“I’ll be there soon, okay?” I say, but get nothing in response.

I quickly shove my phone in my bag and run to the car.

“Minho we need to go!” I yell.

“Wh-what’s going on?” He asks, shutting his door and starting the car.

“Hyunjin’s… now! Please hurry!” I yell.

Minho throws the car in reverse, squealing the tires as he pulls away. Thankfully Hyunjin’s house is only ten minutes from the park we were at. We arrive in 5. I quickly unbuckle and slam the door open, running up to his front door not caring to shut the car door. Not bothering knocking, I quickly open his door and run in. “Hyunjin!” I yell, but there’s nothing. “Jinnie.. where are you?” I yell. I run through his house searching through every room. Minho runs in behind me. “Upstairs bathroom.” He whispers, once he realizes I’ve looked everywhere downstairs. My heart sinks at his words. I quickly run upstairs, swinging the bathroom door open. Hyunjin’s laying on the floor, his eyes are closed. I look to the side of him and see a pill bottle laying next to him. “MINHO CALL 911!” I scream. I quickly drop down next to Hyunjin and pull him into my lap as best as I can. I shake him violently. “Hyunjin please!” I yell. “Come on please!” I say lightly slapping his cheek. I let out a sob. “You can’t leave me!” I shake him again. It seems like eternity before I hear sirens making their way down the road. “They’re upstairs!” I hear Minho yell.

It was supposed to arrive this week and you couldn't have been more pleased, excited and nervous if you had tried. Eddie, if it was possible, was even more of everything than you were. The sweet boy was like a sponge, soaking up the atmosphere around you as you seemed almost to vibrate whenever you sat or stood still for an extended period of time. You reminded Eddie - and Uncle Wayne, when the plant let him have a rare night off - of himself, when he was in the throes of planning a new campaign. He would giggle to himself as he made contingency plans of contingency plans, come up with creative ways for his sheep's characters to get themselves out of the stick situations he threw them into, a shepherd tending to his flock even as he tortured them just a little, just enough to get them squirming in their seats and whispering wishes into hands cupped around many sided dice. He was a sadistic Dungeon Master and yet he experienced genuine happiness and excitement when he was bested, proud of his sheep and of his Hellfire boys.

And you, oh, you were a live wire. Cheer was the only sports you had ever enjoyed. It was one of your true callings in life, you could feel it deep in your bones. You had been given the position of a flyer due to your physical stature; you were small which meant that you could do backflips in the air, reach the top of the pyramid, be thrown around and receive the attention and admiration of an entire crowd of people. It was incredibly difficult, and it was a sport which Eddie had a lot of respect for. He never included cheerleaders in his anti-conformity canteen-table rants for a reason and that was because it was genuinely hard to be a cheerleader. It required so much practice, determination, passion and trust in the other cheerleaders. But shit like bastketball? Toss a ball into a basket and that was the extent of it... Eddie had no respect for that. None at all. Jocks weren't worth it, but cheerleaders? Eddie admired them.

You loved the thrill of being up in the air, of feeling the wind in your hair and seeing the gymnasium from an angle very few got to. It gave you an adrenaline high like nothing else, and Eddie loved the spark it put in your eyes.

"Hey, sweetheart?" Eddie came bounding around the corner of his bedroom, his dark curls brushing against the tops of his shoulders and his chocolate eyes soft with love for you. He was holding a package in his hands and you knew just from the smirk of your face what he was bringing you. "Look what I've got ~ " the gleeful sing song of his voice made you grin, the expression infectious as Eddie couldn't keep his own off his face. Oh, but you two were always feeding off each other's emotions and making any moment even more special between the two of you. You were so very similar, in many ways.

You loved cheer, you loved it, and you needed no prompting at all from Eddie to grab the package as you tore it open and your eyes consumed the first sight of your uniform, as your hands felt the material for the first time; tougher than usual thanks to the factory starch which was always put onto new clothes. Eddie's smile was still almost as wide as his face, threatening to split his cheeks in two as he watched you. You were so happy, squealing and expressing your excitement so viscerally that you weren't even fully aware of yourself, and the sweet man was simply enjoying your happiness and deriving his own from it. If you were the sunshine, then Eddie was the tallest sunflower, following you wherever you went for the pleasure of your warmth across his face.

"Go try it on, babe, go on," The upward lilt of Eddie's voice sounded a lot like when he was goading his sheep to make a decision during a tense moment in a campaign, and you were gone like a bullet from a gun, leaving Eddie staring after you with an ache in his chest.

When had the Dungeon Master become the cheerleader's cheerleader?

Thankfully, your unform fit with no problems and days passed, until finally, finally, it was the first day of the season. If Eddie had thought that you were excited before, when you received your uniform in the post, then it had nothing on what you were feeling right now. You had your feet firmly on the ground and yet it felt like you were already on the top of the pyramid, your lungs burning in your chest, your body working hard to keep you steady atop the others, your adrenaline high even higher than you. You were on cloud nine and Eddie was right there beside you, his hand tightly in yours, fingers interlocked.

"So, sweetheart," Eddie tooks his keys out of the ignition and turned to smirk at you, his hands reaching out in opposite directions; one sliding up from your knee where it had rested to wrap around your wrist, and the other grasping for the door handle. You should have known that what it looked like Eddie was doing, wasn't what he had planned. "You ready to do that, y'know," he mimed a very weak, silly imitation of cheerleading to make you giggle, "thing you do?"

Your voice was saturated with sunshine and laughter as you said, "you coming with me? That'd be a dream, Eddie." You cracked the passenger side door open but remained in your seat, wanting every second right beside Eddie. Oh, but you loved him so much that it put a solid ache in your chest.

Eddie leaned over the console between your seats to give you a lingering, tender kiss to your forehead as he murmured, "I wouldn't wanna be anywhere else. I promise." Something shifted in his chest as he said that. Something clicked into place for him, just as it had for you the day that you had signed up for cheer once again. Eddie remembered a few days ago when he had asked himself to recall when the Dungeon Master had also become the cheerleader's cheerleader?

But now he knew the answer. He could feel it in his bones...

... It was the day he had fallen in love with you.

katsuki bakugo x figure skater! f!reader

bakugo has no ideas about figure skating. and you have no idea that he’s here.

he’s never been able to show up to your competitions before, but he’s always tried until a rushed call is met with a grumble, a whispered “good luck”, and a kiss goodbye.

so you can only imagine how he feels when he stumbles through the doors after getting off his patrols early. he was met with the chill of ice in the air, the slightly squishy floors and the chatter of the crowd.

it was packed- more so than he thought it would be; not to say he was dismissive of you in any way, but rather he was proud to know first-hand that you were being successful.

he was scanning the edges of the rink in search of his girlfriend. one lady was currently sliding skate guards on, surrounded by friends and coaches. what if he had missed you? he wondered and his brows creased at the idea.

the speakers began to ring: "now introducing, the-"

but then a finger tapped at his leg, soft and gentle, pulling him from his thoughts and the announcer. he looked down and met the eyes of a little girl, probably no older than 7.

"you're- you're mr. dynamite, right? could you- could you sign my skates please?" she gazed up longingly at him. she held up a pair of them- these tiny things- dangling and showing off its dynamite decal.

he pulled down his cap a little more. "sure thing," he smiled, taking her red marker to scribble away. how did she even recognize me? after a plentiful of thanks, the lights began to dim.

he squinted to see, but the spotlight flicked on, illuminating the skater in the middle.

you. of course it was you.

the music started, a tune he's heard you hum before, and you began to move. but were you really moving? moving now just sounded like any word that could be used for anyone.

because you were flowing. so smoothly, legs supple and in-time with the rhythm. your hair was done all pretty, he wondered how long it took to do it. you hadn't even done anything particularly impressive, yet if the fangirl were to come back and ask for a picture he would not be able to speak.

the music began to swell, and you hit your first jump, your skirt dancing around you, glittering with jewels a reflection in his eyes.

he wished the world would stop, if only for this moment. and it would be your luminescence switching foot to foot, turn to turn, while everything is still, skating to the beat of his heart.

and when your graceful gestures are said and done, the music decrescendos, he doesn't think he's seen you smile so brightly before.

after your several bows and some small strides, you find your way to the gate, a light sheen of sweat on your face. and your jaw drops.

"b-babe??" you squeak.

and he suddenly engulfs you in his hug, and you can't stop your tears.

"holy shit baby!!!" he exclaimed, holding you at arms length. "that was- that was so fuckin'- you're so-"

you laugh, cutting him off with a quick kiss to the lips. "i love you too," you beam, and he mirrors your grin. "oh, they're going to announce my scores now!" and you drag him to the cushioned seats positioned in front of the camera. "wait," you pause, "do you wanna wait off the screen so people don't see you-"

"'s fine," now he gives you a peck on your lips. "i wanna be with you when you win."

and when they reveal your first place score, you're excited, but your boyfriend...

"LET'S GO BABYY!!!!" he cheers as he spins you around, careless of the snapping of surrounding camera lenses.

"my star," he smiles, quieter this time, so only you could hear. and you giggle, noses pressed together.
