Until you remember that people who will like your work won't just read it once. The may save it, read it multiple times. Get inspired by it, think about it months or even years later. I read lots of fanfiction and remember so many of them and the emotions they gave me.

I don't know how much time it took Homer to write Iliad but it turned out to outlive him for centuries. Art is eternal.

Because life is not a maths test where you take the numbers, find a solution and pick the right answer!

It's more like that effed-up test I had at the end of my law course at uni where each question had 4 possible options of which any number could be correct. Which means that there could be 1/2/3/4 correct answers but also for some questions none of the options were correct. And you better be sure that our professor put some trick questions in there.

So imagine that you take this test but also no one really explained the subject and also you never really have enough information about what's actually going on and also in most cases you have a lot of emotions, traumas and convictions that cloud your judgement and also other people have emotions that make them react differently to you doing the same thing and also in most cases no one agrees on what the "right thing" or "good outcome" actually is and also the outcomes are not fully under your control and also the outcome may be good overall but you still are "punished" with unpleasant consequences...

You can't possibly always get the good outcome by trying to make the right choices.

But your trying to make the right choices STILL MATTERS.

It still matters that we try to make things right.
