Going to help a friend with Long Covid apply for disability SS and state benefits. Wanna give her some tips. Told Sis one tip is I’m worried about friend and her live in boyfriend and how that’ll affect her eligibility. They definitely need to have their money separate, but I know with my situation, I live with my sister but I rent from her/pay her room & board $ so that I am a Household of 1 and her income doesn’t count against me. My sister told me that I shouldn’t tell my friend to be worried about that. That for all we know, those are not the rules anymore. That heck, maybe them getting married is the best option. That pandemic changed everything. I said that yes pandemic loosened rules a wee bit, but people still have strict income limits to be eligible for disability. I know disabled people still don’t have marriage equality. Then my sister said, “but you don’t know that for sure.” So I bit my tongue. It’s just easier. But guys, while I’m more lurking these days, I’m still *in* the disability advocacy community. We still don’t have marriage equality, do we? And income limits didn’t suddenly go up by a few dozen grand, did they? My friend is still gonna have trouble if her man makes any amount of $, yeah? Her boyfriends tend to come and go in her life and I’m worried if she relies on him, he’ll be gone in a month and she & the kids will be screwed. Anyways, she gotta have healthcare and, at least for a lil while, a home care provider. So imma go tomorrow and help her apply for stuff. I am taking my sister’s recommendation that my friend consult a local free legal services lawyer about the best way to divide their household. But if it comes back that the lawyer says getting married is her best bet at getting benefits? I’ll eat a goddamn sock. We do not have marriage equality in this country, periodt. And I *know* dat.

3. what’s your favorite thing about your mutuals ?

aah, there's so many things i could say !! first of all, they're all very inspiring. whenever i see you guys on my dash, killin' it with your writing and ideas, it inspires me to be more creative. and active. i don't check my dash that often because i try to minimize my distractions during the day; but i bet if i checked it more, the inspiration would make me more active JASJAJJ. another thing i love to see is how the mutuals i have are all very supportive of each other !! liking posts, commenting, and being very warm and welcoming to each other. ; u ; i'm picky about who i follow, so i only follow the best. ;)) wink wonk

6. what’s one thing the rpc has to realize ?

most of us are over-thinkers. that thing that you are assuming about that other rp'er ( e.g. they must not like me because they didn't respond to my ask; OR they don't want to write with me because if they had they would have reached out; OR they probably think they're 2 cool for me because i don't use fancy aesthetics . . . all the thoughts we have like THAT ) are most likely not true. most things have simple explanations, and are not that deep. our anxious brains just like to overcomplicate things. : D I know that for me, if I did not want to write with someone, or if I did not like them . . . I would just unfollow them or not follow them in the first place !! it's dat simple asjjaja. so if you're mutuals, try not to worry so much about little things and overanalyze them !! if you come here & focus on having fun and exercising your creativity, and focus on that, and your friends, instead of rejections ( real or perceived ) and worrying over what you can't do and can't control . . . you will have a WAY better time! : )

13. what’s underrated in the rpc ?

touching grass. jk jk but actually only half jk. but all of the partners i have rn are people with lives outside of rp and other hobbies and stuff to do, and yes, that means we tend to be slower with our replies & all, but . .. it's so much better, ngl. it sounds stupid but fr, having a life is IMPORTANT, okay; people are less likely to get over-sensitive abt rp stuff, less likely to become overly invested to the point that replying to your threads becomes an obligation / burden instead of good fun, and it also helps lessen the over-thinking mentioned above...

when it comes to what the rpc writes tho ? hMMmm... i think continuity and single-verse stuff is kind of underrated !! like, having verses ( or even entire characters/blogs ) where everything is under ONE single timeline. so if you have a thread with Bob and in that thread, Bob chops off your characters' arm, from then on, your character has ONE ARM. periODT !! unless they get a cybernetic arm or magically regrow it, etc. . . this comes with it's own set of challenges & is PRETTY FREAKING hard to do in rp, but I think it is REALLY fun & rewarding when it works !!! i love all the twists and turns and the spontaneity of it. and if too much happens, there's no reason you can't just... reset back to the beginning!

34. what’s the best part about being in the rpc on tumblr ?

ooh for me, the best thing has been meeting a community of like-minded, similar writers : D bc yes, I’ve met plenty of other writers irl and online places besides tumblr, but… they don’t GET ME like my tumblr mutuals do ajdjsj. I rly thought I was a crazed weirdo because of how passionate I was about my characters, and how I can think about them all day & relate every little thing back to them … until I joined tumblr :’) tumblr turns a solitary, isolate hobby into something community-based, where we all collaborate and expand each other's universes, and i just genuinely think that's a really cool writer-y thing. very niche, very hard to explain to people outside our community ... but i think it's rly fun n uNIQUE. and I think I would have gone crazy if I didn’t have tumblr to scream to about character things svfdd

35. what’s the biggest problem in the rpc ?

that's a good question ... there's a lot of flaws in the rpc, but there's a lot of good things, too. there are a lot of problems that could use improving, but i don't know how to rank one as the 'WORST'. i do think that what i talked about in #6 is a possible contender for the biggest problem, because if we're all avoiding each other and too scared to talk to each other, that kills rp. but it's hard to change that and i feel like the rpc has talked about it enough. 🤷 i don't really have anything else to add or any other solutions. meh. i don't care that much either. i don't think the rpc will ever really die, so it's whatever asjjaj. ( correction: it may die on TUMBLR, but there's plenty of other places to rp if it does. roleplayers are like cockroaches; WE NEVER DIE. ) so instead, i'm going to say: THIS SHITTY ASS BETA EDITOR. I HATE THIS THING. WHAT THE FUCK. the biggest problem in the tumblr rpc is definitely that tumblr staff tries to 'fix' things that were never broken. they hate us and want us all to suffer. we are in hell, being punished for the crime of being tumblristas. i'm not one of those people who hate anytime a website has a minor ui change or whatever-- i didn't care about twitter adding 50 buttons. i'm not opposed to change if it's for innovation or a new feature or look or whatever, even if i don't personally want that feature........ but tumblr doesn't even fix anything: they replace what was there with something of inferior quality every time. how the fuck do you run a website worse than elon musk. not even muskrat has ruined the basic functionality of a text editor, tumblr....... honestly mind-boggling. > : [

He never meant it in bad way, oh no ma’am. It’s just that NO ONE has ever seen anyone like you before, let alone thought there were people of a different race.

But knowing Levi, and seeing his resting bitch face.. how could you ever know 💀.

My guy literally lived in the UNDERGROUND, on some “City of Ember” type shit, and has never seen someone like you before.

When you decided to join the Survery Corps. then eventually choosing the Scouts after being top of your class. He took it as an opportunity to observe you (well, him and like twenty, thirty other people 💀), whenever y’all sat and talked about expedition plans with Hange and the Commander, he enjoyed listening to you speak your mind and blast your opinions.

And don’t get me started on how strong and open-minded you are.

Eventually, he’ll start catching feelings. He’ll talk to you more, occasionally praise you for a job well done more than he’s done ANYONE else. He’ll even fucking compliment you and pick up on little things you’ve done.

Of course, when the other brats get outta hand when it comes to awful flirting and tryna see what that thang do. He shuts that shit down before it can even start.

Honestly, he’ll be flabbergasted to be in your presence. He’s never seen someone of a different race before, he wondered were there more of you on the outside?

When he saw you the first time on the return from another expedition outside the walls. His eyes met you and he was just.. amazed. He was sure that he wasn’t seeing things but, he had to see you again.

When he couldn’t find you, he had to come to the conclusion that you were a hallucination. I mean, he was exhausted, sleep deprived, and hungry.

But, eventually he found you by yourself at the bridge. He was amazed at how the morning sun made you glow, reflecting off of your brown skin.

When you caught him staring, he choked on his words as he rambled with apologies. This made you smile, inviting him to sit and enjoy the morning with you.

Y’all started talking and you just.. clicked. When he heard your laugh for the first time, he had it bad.

He tried visiting you as much as he could, even if it was only a simple “hello, how are you?” or the slightest of small talk.

When the Walls were invaded, you were helpless. No one bothered to help you, either saving their own asses or being eaten alive. You couldn’t count the times where you were so close to meeting death. You refused to become a victim and have fear control you.

When you joined the Scouts, he was shocked to you standing here before him. Your fist over your heart as you announce yourself. He never thought you would be here about to risk your life everyday.

But, he saw that fire in your eyes and smiled.

He couldn’t guarantee your safety but would do everything in his power to make sure nothing happens to you.

He’s a busy man. No matter how much he wanted to, he couldn’t sit and talk with you all of the time. If you were lucky, he’d send a smile or even a wink your way.

Though, he’s often caught you by yourself again, watching the sunset or gazing into the night sky. The way you skin would glow made him look back on old times.

He sits with you, talking the night away and making you smile again.

Overtime, you eventually get closer. When you originally closed yourself of because of the events of “That Day”, but opened up more and more when you both were together.

Whenever somebody tries to snitch on you to him, you’re literally not phased by this shit.

“Tell him then, I don’t give no fuck! Matter of fact, I’ll tell him for you!”

He honestly adores how you don’t take shit from anybody, but he lets you get away with a little bit of things. He won’t reprimand you but will give you a slap on the wrist if you went too far with something.

Whenever he says something unintentionally funny, you just crack up laughing. Like, you are wheezing so silently and rolling on the floor in tears. He couldn’t help but chuckle and shake his head at how silly you were.

He adored everything about you. Your laugh, how your skin glows in the light, your captivating smile, and how you weren’t playing games with nobody.

This time, he realizes his growing feelings for you.

Eventually, he confesses his feelings to you. Like this man is poetic as hell, he’s listing off everything he loves about you, even the little things made his heart soar. You were honestly shocked that your Commander felt this way about you.. but you couldn’t lie and say you didn’t feel the same.

After y’all get boo’d up, you’re basically a power couple.

Somebody got one time to talk shit about you, on god he is on them like white on rice.

“If you say one more word about them, I will personally make sure that on the next expedition, I will leave you behind...”

Ah, don’t you just love it when it he gets serious and protective?

Wash days? He’s all for it. Once he sees your arms drooping, clearly worn out from washing your hair, he’ll happily roll up his sleeves and get up in there.

Don’t get him started on your cooking, he’d do anything for it. He gets so happy when you save extra plates for him to eat later.

i cried when seojun read that letter like that shit hurts

again, i will be saying it a thousand times: seyeon should have a bit more scene, or at least more scenes where they do talk more than just “glimpses” of memories and they say like two lines

i feel like hwang in yeop specially have very excellent chemistry with mr. kang chanhee, and cha eunwoo's acting would’ve been a delight to see, and i wished they would utilise it more

i love LOVE LOOOOVE that they mentioned seojun’s quick-tempered personality but he’s also becoming endearingly respectful of suho and jugyeong’s relationship too AGAIN he’s incorporating more and more of his webtoon counterpart and its just so nice to see hwang in yeop truly living to how many readers have probably imagined seojun

jugyeong bringing suho things that helps him with anxiety and stress? A+++ like i personally felt that

not only that, knowing that suho’s a “logical” person, she even does some researches behind her gift???? AAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! SHES THE ABSOLUTE QUEEN???????

lim juyeong is just a delight episode after episode honestly like i especially like how gowoon was just telling it to him straight and it’s still fun and silly without it being disrespectful or juyeong blaming gowoon etc which i know a lot of writers tend to do if they’re lazy

jugyeong going to her make up classes and living her best life 😍

i was actually so sad watching how ju hyemin and jugyeong interacted like it showed how terrible the after-effects of being bullied and ostracised is, and theyre both still so afraid of their bullies and what they could do

more than that, jugyeong absolutely being torn between knowing how hyemin feels the whole time - but not being able to overlook the fact that hyemin helped their bullies during one of her worst moments like that killed me

this episode also highlights so much how jugyeong is really, really timid from a crowd’s attention. her anxiety from before (we see this when she wants to keep her relationship a secret; her bare face hidden) isn’t baseless; like she has legitimate reasons why she doesn’t like them, she doesn’t wear make-up to stand out, she never has

no, she wears it so she could have a chance to not be bullied again and possibly even be accepted — thats all, she wants to be accepted like thats such a bare minimum — by the society, periodt

this episode also highlights about how much people don’t just give a shit about what jugyeong wants when she said no or she didn’t wanna participate in something like,,,,,,, please back off,,,,,, shes obviously not comfortable?????

im so glad suho and her are talking more and more? theyre trusting each other more and more? suho pays attention, and asks instead of assuming, and jugyeong actually tells him what’s up? phew...... das some good food, ladies and gents
