Rintaro and you try to keep your cute affections consistent after Akito.

Being young parents in love, it’s a much easier task on paper, the screaming toddler and said child clinging to your every limb definitely puts the slightest damper on things.

You try to sneak kisses in the hallway, passing each other during dinner, as you both go about your mornings, but it’s just beyond difficult when it comes to a tiny terror running amuck.

One who also seems to get jealous when he’s not included in affections regarding you. No peaceful hugs, no cuddling, and certainly no kisses when your son is around, who quickly toddles his way between you both to get that attention from you, then from Rin.

He loves being the center of attention, the center of your attentions, and while it is more than endearing to you, you can tell it is hitting Rintaro in areas he didn't know were possessive until he has to share you with a tiny, feral child.

And now, standing over a bowl of fruit, when you feel two arms snake around your waist, you melt into the touch, relishing in the attention for as long as you can.

“Hey momma,” he murmurs against your hair. “Going for my run, you need anything before I go?”

“Just my goodbye kiss,” you hum, and he grins as he leans down to press a kiss to your lips, and for a moment, you wrap your arms around his neck and forget about the rest of the world. Rin always has that effect on you, it’s amazing, and-

“Dadda no!” Akito whines, toddling over quickly.

Rintaro pulls back and furrows his brows in betrayal, “what do you mean no?”

“No k’mumma!” He commands, jamming himself between the two of you, a tiny palm pressing Rin's thigh to try and push him away from you. You bring your hands up to cover your mouth as to try and hide your laughter while Rintaro pouts his two year old. “My mumma,” he echos, wrapping his arms around your leg.

“Awww honey,” you coo, crouching down to curl Akito into your arms, kissing his chubby cheeks. “My akito boy.” He giggles at the attention, arms wrapping around you. You scoop him up, smiling as he curls against your chest.

“I’m not playing this game,” Rintaro grumbles. He leans down to kiss your head, only for a chubby hand to shove him away. “Akito.“

“My mumma.”

“I do not like this.”

“Hey. You were the favorite for a long time. It’s my turn,” you tease, planting a quick kiss to Rintaro’s cheek, “I’ll give you affection once you get back, he'll be eating breakfast by then, so I'll see what I can schedule you in for.” You send him a wink, and he pouts at your not-so-seriousness.

“You’d better,” he huffs. He looks at his son and sighs dramatically before trying to plant a kiss to his head, but he coos as Akito tips his head to get a kiss on the cheek. “It’s a good thing you’re so cute, kid.”

Ik a while ago I said I wouldn’t do parent fics/dad!AUs for personal reasons BUT just this once I’ll indulge in a thought that makes me laugh rather than spiral (not turning it into a full fic tho)

I came across a tiktok abt a dad getting his daughters to stop fighting while doing chores by flirting with their mom (his wife) every time they argued rather than getting upset with them so...

why would this totally be suna or atsumu as a dad? (maybe even kuroo?) my first thought seeing this was literally that this would be them. AM I WRONG??? 

any time your kids argue, he is immediately kissing your all over your face, complimenting you in the most over the top ways- he’s all over you. it’s making your kids scream in horror but it’s making you laugh. a win-win situation for him, obviously, because they stop arguing like you’ve both been asking for the past ten minutes and he gets to sweet talk you a bit, which is one of his favourite things in the world hands down. (it’s also setting a good example for his kids on how to treat their future partners and diffuse situations.)

Akito, Kaiya, and the terror twins haven’t touched one dish in forty minutes.

There’s a lot of fighting happening in the kitchen, about who’s going to scrub and who’s going to load the dish washer, and from your twins, who’s going to wash their hands first.

Akito, at the ripe age of 15, is having absolutely nothing to do with Kaiya’s scrubbing, complaining it’s not “good enough.” Kaiya reminds him that she does not care.

Rintaro knows you’re tired. Exhausted even, the kids have all been at each other’s throats all week, and he watches your eyes flutter shut to try and block out the arguing, only to open and finish packing the leftovers, trying to be strong and let them figure it out for themselves.

Your shoulders start to shake from anxiety, hands stalling, and Rintaro feels his heart breaking.

He’s got to step in, be a firm dad, even if his kids don’t always take him seriously.

“Alright, enough,” Rintaro growls, making his way over to the four kids in the kitchen. You turn to face him too, a brow quirked in wonder for his new attitude. “Listen to me; your mother threw her back into dinner, I did all your laundry, and now you want to whine about dishes? We all help with chores, tonight is no different. What is the hold up? Why the fighting?”

“Wouldn’t have to if Kaiya knew how to scrub the dish before passing it to me!” Akito hisses.

“Does the dishwasher not do that for me!” She grumbles.

“Sachie pushed me out of the way of the sink!” Sachiko whines.

“She usin’ all the soap!” Sachie complains.

“Okay, that’s it!” Rintaro bites. The room goes quiet. You stop putting away left overs and turn to face him, a smirk slowly growing. His eyes look to yours, and he watches your teeth sink into your lip at his display of authority.

God, how he loves that look on you.

…..an idea pops in his head.

“From now on, you all want to give me attitude and fight with me on chores? I’m flirting with mom in front of you.”

“WHAT?”

There’s a chorus of confusion that breaks out over the kitchen, Akito pulling a face of disgust while Kaiya groans in disbelief. “That’s right,” Rintaro continues. “You want to whine about doing dishes, or cleaning your rooms, or folding your laundry, I’m going to hit on mom!” His head turns to you, a smirk in his features, “hey there, sugar.”

You start to giggle nervously, warmth spreading over your face as your hands come up to hide it, “rinnie!”

“God, you’re so pretty,” he rasps, and in the background, Kaiya wails in agony. “How’s about you and I uh… get to know each other-“

“Oh my god dad, please-“ Akito begs.

“We get it, you’re obsessed with mom,” Kaiya manages behind her hands.

Your five year olds, however, giggle at the displays of affection, watching your body language tense up in embarrassment for Rintaro’s sudden display. It’s something all your kids used to do, growing up watching Rintaro be all over you. As they’ve gotten older, their excitement to watch their parents love on each other has turned into embarrassment, but there’s no doubt in any of the kids’ minds about how in love you two are.

And at the end of the day, that’s all you both want.

Rintaro smirks and rests his hands on your hips, big hands splaying over the bones, “man, you drive me wild, you know that? Makes me wanna give you another baby-“

“NO!” You wail, interrupting whatever he was about to say.

“DAAAAAAAD!”

“WE’RE SORRY!”

“Wait, so where do babies come from?”

“From now on,” Rintaro continues, looking at his four kids over his shoulder (and purposefully ignoring the last question). “You wanna be brats? I hit on the mom. This is not a democracy nor a negotiation. The more you complain, the more mom’s gonna blush.” He looks back at you and smirks, “because holy cow do I love to make mom blush.”

“EUGHHH!”

The only sounds for a moment are giggles from Sachie and Sachiko, everyone holding their breath to see if Rintaro will continue with his affections, or if he’s already thrown in the towel.

“I don’t hear any dishes or hands being washed!”

Immediately, all four kids spring into action, dishes softly clanging while Akito and Kaiya whisper among themselves in embarrassment over what they just witnessed. Sachie and Sachiko take turns pumping the hand soap for each other, making the plastic bottle covered in sticky soap, but at least the fighting has ceased.

Rintaro sighs and puckers his lips out for a kiss, which you offer him excitedly. “Thank you,” you murmur against him.

“Welcome, babygirl,” he says back.

“I HEARD THAT!” Akito wails.

soft snoring was heard as you entered your home, the outro of ‘’the princess and the frog’’ playing in the background. taking off your shoes, you noticed the toys scattered on the floor. sighing, you began picking them up— leading towards the living room. your steps soon came to a halt as you took in the adorable view in front of you. the irritation once building inside of you, disappeared in an instant. there he was, laying on the couch with her on his broad chest. a large hand placed on her back which looked like it could swallow her whole.

a small smile formed on your face. the snort you let out caused him to open his eyes. ''hello, love,'' he yawned. you walked towards him and placed a kiss on his forehead. ''hi,'' you chuckled, ''i'll change then join you,'' was all you said as you walked towards the bedroom, a giant smile plastered on your face.

the way your little one’s fist clung to her father’s shirt, was enough to make you feel all warm inside.

he was slightly panicking at the crying child in front of him-- whining about some mini cookies he saw while passing the aisle. smiling awkwardly at the strangers giving him stares, he mentally cursed himself for tagging him along. ''i got some vegetables, yeah? those are good too, bud," to which the child only deadpanned at his father. ''I WANT COOKIES!'' he could only sigh and turned the cart around and grabbed the cookies on the highest shelf. "listen, -" he sighed for the nth time, ''don't tell your mama, okay? daddy doesn't wanna get yelled at.'' your child only nodded, smiling widely with one missing front-tooth. when the two of them came home with the groceries in hand, you placed it on the counter and started putting them away.

little do you know that your husband placed the half-eaten bag of cookies on the bottom of the plastic bag. taking it out, you glared at him— “who’s cookies are these, mhm?,” he swore he could feel his heart drop to the bottom of his ass. “i-uhm, ITS MINE!” he smiled, reaching out to grab the bag from your hands. you sighed as he walked away, leaving you and your son standing in the kitchen. “daddy is lying, mama. those are mine,” your son pouted, to which you could only let out a chuckle, “oh, i know those are yours,”

how would you know? well the crumbles on your sons’ cheek didn’t go unnoticed.

You sip your coffee as you watch your teenage son come downstairs the stairs in the most lazy and lethargic way possible. He's more like his father besides looking exactly like him. "Good morning," You greet with a smirk as he comes over and collapses onto a chair at the dinning table while you lean back on the counter.

Your son looks over at you and glares before laying his head on the table. "I'm dropping out of school," He mutters dramatically causing you to roll your eyes.

"Yeah and I'm becoming the next Empress," You reply with a snort as you sit down across from him. "Eat something."

"Make me something!"

"I'm not your slave."

Your son groans and refuses to get up. "I'm totally your least favorite," He mutters.

You raise an eyebrow in amusement. "You're my only child," You remind him with a chuckle as you sip your coffee.

"You still like your fantasy child better than me!" He says dramatically with a whine causing you to roll your eyes.

"Don't be silly. In my fantasy I have no children," You reply with a smirk causing him to glare at you. If your son did get one thing from you, it's your dramatics.

"Whatever, Dad is my favorite," Your son mutters with a huff as he finally sits up. He stands up and heads to the fridge to find some food.

You pause in sipping your coffee and look over at him as he sifts through the fridge. "Your father is your favorite? He's boring!" You reply in disbelief as you scoff.

Your son nods. "Yeah, that's why he's my favorite. He doesn't expect me to, like, do things or go places. He just lets me chill and play Persona," He says casually as he pulls out a bagel before pulling it apart and popping it in the toaster. "You want me to join a different club."

You huff. "Because your club only has four people and all you do is play Kahoot! It's like you're trying to be Yuji Itadori! Clubs are supposed to be ways to make friends! Even your amazing father was in a team club!" You reply as you cross your arms. You narrow your eyes at your son as he simply yawns and pulls out his phone.

Your son shrugs. "See? You proved my point. Dad's better," He says casually as his bagels finally pop up. He puts his phone back in his sweatpants pocket before pulling the bagels out and immediately eating it.

You glower at your son just as your husband comes walking into the kitchen with a yawn. You quickly turn your glare to him and he pauses as he rubs his bed head. "What?" Your husband mutters.
