What I live by. If someone wants you in their life and they want a relationship with you, it isn't one-sided. It shouldn't always be you trying to set things up. It shouldn't always be you traveling. It shouldn't always be you reaching out & starting conversation. Know your worth and your brilliance as a person and find people who recognize what you have to offer and want to give of themselves back. You are no less than anyone else and you deserve treatment that equals your worth. You won't be missing out on anything by replacing them, but they will have cheated themselves out of a great person, an asset. No need to be rude about it either. Just stop what you're doing. If they reach out because they miss you then thats fine, but if they reach out and try to make you feel guilt, even more of a reason to limit your interaction.
