Our surreal comedy webseries, Trying My Best, had a teensy weensy budget but we wanted to keep it visually dynamic. One of the strategies of achieving this was to escalate the strange drama of the main character, Ngaio's costumes to reflect the increasing weirdness and darkness as the show unfolded. When we asked the incredible artist, Aimee Fairman, to design a costume for the final episode on a budget of, well, basically nothing... we were absolutely astounded with what she came up with. Ngaio looks fucking brilliant as a creepy, glamorous glitter slug. Aimee is a genius.
