My Medicine
A lot of people will take one look at someone who smokes Cannabis in the UK and think they are nothing but a lazy, time-wasting pothead.
Tumblr media
I have been an active recreational and medical user of Cannabis for a number of years now. My recreational use invokes the creative aspects of my mind, but that isn't what I would like to write about today.
My Medicinal use however, is.
Tumblr media
First of all, I would like to point out the conditions, both mental and physical that I am dealing with.
I suffer from severe depression and anxiety, and because of that I have attempted taking my own life.
My anxiety reaches heights where I have dealt with extreme paranoia in turn, and my depression has in the past found me feeling that taking my own life is a logical and well-thought idea.
I also have extreme lower back pain, which has remained undiagnosed for a number of years (hopefully this will change with my next visit to a physiotherapist and an MRI). This pain makes in unbearable to carry out a lot of day-to-day activities. I tried to run yesterday and I have been suffering severely since.
Tumblr media
I have tried prescription medication; Co-Codamol, Codeine, Tramadol, Zomorph, Naproxen, Co-Dydramol. None of these made enough of a difference, other than headaches and occasional nausea and vomiting.
I have also tried; Amitriptyline, Mirtazapine, Citalopram, for my Anxiety and Depression.
Again, not much of a difference was made for me to remain a dedicated user of Pharmaceutical solutions.
However.
I have found in Cannabis, a multi-faceted treatment for the conditions I deal with.
Pain Relief to the degree I am not sat awake until all hours of the morning writhing with pain when it gets too much.
Relaxation from the anxiety, so much so that it quite literally flips around and turns into a form of Devil-may-care confidence that I am slowly gaining more ground on every day, it is safe to say that my Anxiety was a whole world of worse a year ago.
A counter to my depression, I feel productive, I get things done, make plans and stick to them and I don't glue my mind to the problems and issues that are all around me, mine or otherwise.
Tumblr media
I also discovered something new about myself in my experience with Cannabis.
But that is a story for another time.
I hope anyone who reads this either finds a kindred spirit, or it changes a perspective.
Either way, thanks for reading.

"Watch the sun set from a gravel road, kiss me in the kitchen on your tippy-toes, still lovin' on you when the rooster crows, watchin' way more than the garden grow!"

Mmm...tasty...
Roast Chicken.
Roasted potatoes.
Mashed potatoes.
Roast Lamb.
Carrot & Turnip.
Mushy Peas.
Stuffing.
Broccoli.
Gravy.
This is my dinner today, a roast dinner, the most beautiful meal ever crafted by the hands of our beautifully innovative species.
My favorite meal (if it weren't inherently obvious) is a Roast Dinner, I could eat one of these every single day and never get bored.
If you have never had one, try one. If you have had one before, have another because you know they are the epitome of culinary perfection.

Weird self-discovery
Have you ever had a feeling or a memory bring you to a sudden realization about yourself? Or maybe, you feel that there is something there that you can't quite grasp onto whilst having said feeling or reliving said memory?
Like when you catch a scent in the air, and it reminds you of something good, but when you find the source of the smell it isn't jogging your memory because that particular thing weren't present in the primary memory, or when you see someone who looks like an ex-partner and you have a sudden rush of nostalgic feelings and remember the whole relationship as though you lived it all in the space of a few seconds?
I can't quite describe this phenomenon. It is crazy, like a whole world of things come rushing back to you and either leave you hanging by a thread and a little confused or they make you have a sudden moment of self-growth and awareness.
I haven't much else to say on the topic, but I would like to hear from someone who knows what I am talking about, not that I expect many people will read this..
Oh well.
Thank you for reading anyway, if you did.

Egalitarian
Definition:
adj. Believing in the principle that all people are equal and deserve the same right and opportunities.
noun. A person who advocates or supports the principle of equality for all people.
To be an Egalitarian is something I believe we should all strive to be, no matter what we are all human. Unfortunately, humans have gained the ability to manifest imaginary social heirarchy that gives people a sense of superiority, which in turn gives them the idea they can treat other people however they want.
Humans are still in the youngest stages of civilization, and whilst we are on track to becoming far more technologically advanced we are still very weak and frankly pathetic that we take no regard for fellow humans, or other species for that matter.
One day, hopefully, the human race will come to a point where we are evolved enough to work together as a whole, instead of banding together in conflicts that reverse the progress we have made as a species and destroying the planet we live on (of which we currently have no other option).
One day we will all live in peace, and harmony.
I hope.
Thanks for reading anyway.

Sea of Thieves quick review - XBOX One
I have been playing this game for about a week now, and I have to admit it is better than expected.
The scenery in-game is beautiful, the gameplay is brilliant and it is hilarious to play with friends. You can set out on the open ocean with up to 3 friends and take on quests, attack other player groups and steal their loot, or just sail about the sea waiting for the kraken.
You get three different factions to level up; Gold Hoarders, Order of Souls & The Merchant alliance. All of which will offer you voyage contracts to carry out in return for gold that can be spent on equipment and cosmetic items for both your pirate and ship.
It can take a while to carry out contracts due to having to sail in between each island to do so, but when playing with friends it makes the game more immersive. Everyone has to play their part on the ship, from steering and navigating, to keeping guard for enemies and bringing loot on board. There is a lot to do.
Definitely a solid 9/10 rating from me, because whilst fun with friends, it can be a bit of a pain with random players online, or on your own.
Definitely give it a go, it is currently available on XBOX Game Pass which is also offering a 14-day free trial.
That's all for now,
Thanks for reading.

One Love to everyone!
We are all one, we are all here together at the same time to push forward and make things better for the future. Billions of stars and galaxies floating around a vast universe and we just managed to end up here by chance, so why not learn, grow, achieve and support one another and every other to get to be the best we can be as a species. There is enough hate in the world, you see it plastered all over the news, you hear it in the bitchiness of your co-workers or classmates, let it go! Keep yourself to yourself and help someone out once in a while, make a friend, talk to a stranger, get high with someone you never got high with, buy a drink for someone who looks like they could use a friend. HUMANS without HUMANITY makes us weak and pathetic, not worthy and downright sad.
Live for love, love life.

Cannabis in my life.
Tumblr media
Living in the UK, I have grown up around mixed views on Cannabis. I have met people who smoke religiously, people who can't even stand to talk about it, and everyone in between.
I have had a wide variety of views on Cannabis myself. As a child, I believed Cannabis was just about as bad as Heroin or Cocaine. As a teenager, I took charge and experimented with Cannabis and other substances, found good and bad in all. As an adult, I believe that 'everything in moderation' is a key motto to anything, including Cannabis.
My first spliff was a very sloppily rolled English Cheese on a field at the back of my neighborhood. It tasted so much nicer than a cigarette (I had been smoking cigarettes for around two years prior) and had an immediate physically relieving effect on me. I was sat on what is called 'The Witches Stones' on the aforementioned field (namely due to their being positioned in a pentagon shape, which I assume reminds people of pentagrams, witches etc.) with a group of older lads from the local area and one kid the same age as me. After the first drag of the spliff, I went to pass it on and was told to take another, then another, being that it was my first time smoking I had no idea how much was enough or too much. It felt wonderful, a euphoria like I had never experienced in my life, I felt that I was in tune with the nature around me, I could feel the wind on my face, I could hear the water trickling in the stream nearby and I felt zoned into myself. An hour or so passed and the sun began to set, so we all decided to go home, one by one, I remember being so ridiculously paranoid on my walk home about the possibility of getting caught stoned by my mother or grandparents, who have very strong negative views on Cannabis. When I got home, I lay in bed and just existed for a while, took everything in and listened to some music, it was the first time I had ever really listened to the lyrics of a song (Bob Marley's Three Little Birds if anyone is wondering what the song was) and it resonated with me deeply, and then I fell asleep, relaxed and content.
Tumblr media
After I awoke from my slumber, I decided to research Cannabis. I trolled the internet for hours every day, learning everything I possibly could about it. I learned about the different main strains; Indica and Sativa, about how Indicas and Sativas affect people differently, and how there was a whole international community of Cannabis users with worlds of information at their disposal, ready for me to read about, listen to and take in. I found out about people who were using Cannabis products I had no idea existed; CBD oils, Hashish, edibles etc., and as I read about these people, I wondered what the big deal was, why it was illegal and so I continued my research.
Tumblr media
I implore anyone and everyone to do the proper research into Cannabis, and not to convince people to use Cannabis but instead help people understand why others do. It is a very interesting subject to learn about, whether you like it or not, understand it, learn about it, be informed.
I have had bad experiences myself with Cannabis, due to the black market trade in the UK, as a consumer I am subject to sub-par quality products on occasion. I once purchased a £10 bag of 'K2' which I believe was laced with a foreign substance, because I had my first 'whitey' when smoking it. For those who do not know, a 'whitey' is the Cannabis equivalent of drinking too much and throwing up. It was not fun. Yet it never dissuaded me from finding better quality Cannabis and continuing use. I can now spot a bad batch of Cannabis from a mile-off.
I am a firm believer in Legalisation for both Medical and Recreational purposes, and also for industrial usage (HempCrete, Hemp Clothing, Fishing Tackle, Cannabis infused dining).
I feel I have shared a sufficient amount on this topic thus far, yet I will be revisiting Cannabis in future content.
Thank you for reading,

Netflix's 'The Ranch' Review
I have to start by saying, I loved The Ranch. It is a hilarious, dramatic, heart-wrenching story, with a range of wonderful characters.
I have always been drawn to anything with the kind of feel that this show gives off.
The show focuses on the 'Bennett' family, a quick-witted, chop-busting family that take no crap.. Not even from eachother.
The humor that the show thrives on is rather adult, with a lot of swearing, yet somehow the jokes and japes in the show feel very authentic. If you didn't know you were watching a Netflix Original series, you would believe The Bennetts are a real Colorado family of Ranchers.
You can almost feel involved in the business of the show, like an extra family member, or a patron in Maggie's bar, and it will always draw you back every time (four times in my case).
There are ups, downs and all arounds when it comes to this show, one minute you can be laughing your head off, and the next you could be clenching your heart, it is the perfect mixture of satirical humor, saddening outcomes and a very real corellation with actual life.
If you watch it once, you will certainly want to watch it again, and maybe even one more time. Currently whilst writing this there are Four Parts to this show (Two seasons consisting of 20 episodes each, 10 episodes apiece making up each part.. I know.. Confusing..) and to my knowledge there is a fifth part scheduled for some time in 2018. It is the perfect show to sit down with your partner and watch a couple of episodes at a time, or take a day or two and binge to completion.
Definitely a 10/10 rating from me, although this is the kind of Dramatic SitCom I have wanted to see for years now.
I highly suggest watching 'The Ranch' if you have not seen it, and if you have.. Go back and watch it one more time.. Why not?
I hope this short review is enough to get even one person to watch the show, it's awesome!
