You felt Ben stirring for the tenth time tonight; his arms, which were around your waist, were now abandoned as he turned over. "Trouble sleeping, Ben?" "Sorry for waking you up," he says, turning to face you, a soft smile on his face. "Nah, I'm not sleepy either; it's ok." Ben tucks some strands of your hair falling on your face behind your ear. His eyes light up. "Wanna do something?" "What exactly?" you asked him, confused. "Get ready in 10." With that, he gets off the bed. Both of you are now sitting in his car; Ben's driving. The screen on the dashboard flashes the time. 2:30 am. "And here we are.". He brings the car to a halt near your favourite ice cream place. "So this was your plan? Taking my half-asleep ass here?" you chuckled. "Come on, I thought you would like this," he looks at you, pouting. "I'm kidding; I love it. Let's go now." Choosing the flavour was the hardest task. Ben admires your face, brows furrowed, concentrating on your decision. "How does caramel chocolate sound?" You look up at Ben, who is lost staring at you. "Ben, hello?" "Y-yeah, sounds great. I'm going to take mint choc, though."  "Why are you so flustered?" you giggle, elbowing him. "Nah, it's just you look too cute." You mockingly eye-roll, but the blush on your cheek gives it away. "Alright, let's take these ice creams before you turn completely red." He chuckles as he steps up to the counter to place the order. Sitting on the backseat of his car, you and Ben enjoy your ice cream. "Why do you even like mint chocolate? Isn't that just toothpaste flavour? Eww," you make a disgusted face. "Nah babe, trust me, it tastes divine; here, try it." He scoops up a dollop in the spoon and moves it towards your mouth. You try avoiding it, and eventually some of it lands near the corner of your lips. "Shit, I don't have a tissue; let me go—" Before you could even complete the sentence, Ben kisses your lips, licking the ice cream off. "Tastes even better," he says, grinning.  "You cheeky bastard," you say, hitting his arm playfully. "Your cheeky bastard, forever," he chuckles, pulling you closer and kissing the top of your head.  You knew it, and you loved every second of it.
