Some of us know that what we’re doing is wrong.
We just don’t care.

1 also hey! -Sam (system)
Hello Sam! c: Thank you for the ask 1. How old were you when you first started to realize something was wrong? Its hard to say, but maybe around 5-7 or so? (from what I can vaguely remember). I do remember in primary school a teacher thought I’d end up in prison someday, so there’s that, but I’m still here

4 and 18
4 What is/are your diagnosis? I have been diagnosed with depression as well as ASPD (antisocial personality disorder.) 18. What are your dreams? Do you feel like it will be hard to fulfil them due to your disorder? Do you have a plan to accomplish this? I have always had an interest in the subject of psychology. While I don’t really feel empathy for people, I can always do experimental psychology or something else. I don’t need to do clinical psych/counselling psych, so not really. But with that being said, I think if I was to do clinical psychology, then it would definitely be hard because of my lack of empathy. (I’m not shitty at helping people though, apparently, but I’m also told that I’m good at using my head. Maybe its due to the fact that I don’t sugarcoat the truth or what I think, but yeah, I think I’m gonna be okay with making my dreams a reality.) Thanks for the ask though, anon! c:

I thought I’d do this because I have nothing better to do. Fire away
Mental Health Questions:
How old were you when you first started to realize something was wrong?
How do your parents handle your mental health?
Have you dealt with any trauma?
What is/are your diagnosis?
Have you ever been admitted into a psych ward? How many times? What was it like?
Does anyone else in your family struggle with mental health?
What are your top five coping skills?
What are your triggers?
Do you have a support system?
Write a letter to yourself when this all started- Dear ___ year old me,
Write a letter to yourself ten years from now.
What is/was school like for you, do you have many friends?
What does an average day look like to you?
Do you have a job? What is it like working with your diagnosis?
What medications are you on? Does it seem to help? What are the bad side effects of this medication that you have dealt with?
Are you in a relationship (romantically)? What is it like to be in a relationship with your disorder?
Do you have any siblings? How do they handle your mental health?
What are your dreams? Do you feel like it will be hard to fulfill them due to your disorder? Do you have a plan to accomplish this?
Write a letter to your parents.
Ask your own question.

Repeat after me:
I am more than my mental illness.
I am more than my mental illness.
I am more than my mental illness.
I am more than my mental illness.
I am more than my mental illness.
I am more than my mental illness.
You are a whole person deserving of love and respect, just like everyone else.

Addiction as a Coping Mechanism
Individuals that suffer with addiction are NOT monsters and they are NOT “crazy”. They are human beings.  Many people (not all, but many) have turned to addiction as a way to cope with the world around them or how badly people have damaged them.  You have no right to be mocking, scoffing at, teasing or bullying these people. You do not know what they have been through. Rather than rolling your eyes, offer your support instead.
