These were supposed to be done and posted by the end of May for MerMay, but the last drawing (Jinbei) ended up taking longer than expected. I actually started these in May of 2023, inspired by the mermaid designs in the live action Little Mermaid. I didn't want to post anything until at least all ten of the Strawhats were done, as I tend to pick and drop projects depending on my motivation, and I kinda got paranoid about potentially keeping people waiting for the next drawing 😅 Most of these are also the second time drawing the Strawhats as merfolk, and I'd like to post those as well for comparison. As for what kinds of animals they are:

Luffy - Mako shark

Zoro- Tiger shark

Nami - Goldfish/barracuda hybrid

Usopp - Sailfish

Sanji - Betta fish

Chopper - Leafy sea dragon

Robin - Zebra shark

Franky - Humpback whale

Brook - Chimera/ghost shark

Jinbei - Whale shark (obvs)

Vivi - Nile perch

I think these choices fit the characters for the most part, for Luffy through Brook, most of them were the same as the first time I drew them as merfolk. The ones I changed were Nami, Franky, and Brook. For Nami, I thought goldfish suited her well for name and colors, but then I read somewhere that barracuda liked shiny things, and I decided to include that as well, making her a hybrid of the two. Franky was originally a lionfish as a nod to Sunny, but I wanted to diversify the designs more and show that not all merfolk are part fish, but can be part aquatic mammal as well.

Brook was originally a random fish I don't remember, maybe a pike? But I'd seen a video about chimera and heard that they're also called "ghost sharks" and like, I couldn't think of anything more fitting 😆 For Robin, I think an octopus would've been more fitting overall, but these designs originated from a specific AU I had in mind, which is why she's a shark instead. Jinbei was obviously going to stay a whale shark, but I still had to redesign him so he'd fit with the others, and overall, I feel he may be the weakest of the designs as he was the last one I did and I was rushing to have them all done 😓

With Vivi, I did like her original design, but I felt that for a character who comes from a country inspired by Egypt, it didn't really come across in her design. I made some slight changes that could hopefully convey it more, but also differentiate her face more from Nami's.

I think overall, the designs I'm most happy with are Zoro, Nami, and Chopper. With Chopper I had this vision of fins shaped like sakura flowers and tree branches and I adore how he came out 😍🥰❤ But overall I am happy with how everyone looks, but I think improvements can be made. I'll make a separate post that shows the difference between my original designs and the new ones and include it in an edit.

Part 14 After returning to Water 7 to heal from their battle (And happy to learn Franky is going to make them a Ship and join them) Garp the Fist comes in, and reveals to be Luffy’s Grandfather, but before he could continue beating the snot out of Luffy, Reader stops him (Garp is happy to finally meet his one and only Granddaughter Reader!)

However Garp ends up pissed when Luffy told him Spadam hit her, and wants to get his hands on him! (No one puts their hands on his Granddaughter!! NO ONE!!)

Though Reader calms Luffy and Garp down from wanting to go back/to Enies Lobby to beat Spadam up (Garp’s cackling after learing that his sweet Granddaughter hit Spadam in his ‘Royal Jewels’, as he’s very proud of her for doing that) and leaves the Straw Hats alone after telling Luffy about his dad Dragon (Not before promising to spend time with Reader and gives her one of his Rice Crackers)

For the next 3 days the Straw Hats and all of Water 7 had a huge party, with Reader playing around with Chimney and Gonbei in her bathing suit Franky gave her (Including little Arm Floats that look like Starfish/Kitties)

And with Nami’s help, Reader calls Ace to talk with him, and Ace was holding in his rage after hearing what his little sister went through (As she told him it was scary) and the fact she got slapped, but he started laughing when Luffy told him what Reader did to Spadam’s ‘Jewels’ (Whitebeard and his sons were doing the same thing as Ace, angry and furious, but proceeded to laugh hysterically after learning what Reader did to someone’s ‘Jewels’)

I love Whitebeard so much (He’s so protective and caring about those apart of his family) he’s just a giant softie

They all see not only Zoro, Luffy, Robin and Reader’s Bounties upgraded, but everyone get a Bounty themselves (And everyone screamed when Reader’s bounty Skyrocketed again at 320-350 Million)

Reader also comforts her Brother Sanji about his Wanted Poster by giving him one of her own drawings of him (It’s a kid drawing, but compared to Luffy, it’s 100x better than his art skills and she drew it out of love)

-It had been two days since you and your family arrived back from Enies Lobby, as many of you were severely injured, you were luckily, being the least injured, but after overworking your quirk, you were just as tired as the rest of them.

-You were so happy that Franky was a part of the crew and that Usopp was back, as you felt protective of your family, you never wanted any of them to leave- you never wanted to be apart from them.

-Franky was super nice to you as the others were slowly waking up, both him and Iceburg treating you to breakfast as you were the first to wake up.

-You were in awe, seeing Luffy still sleeping but also eating, unable to look away until Sanji and Nami yelled at him to wake up while Robin and Usopp were laughing lightly at the sight.

-A knock then came from the door before it burst open and Franky dropped his shoulder, wrapping his arms around you, shielding you from the debris.

-A large man then entered, a marine which made you clutch at Franky’s Hawaiian shirt, scared as everyone was quickly able to recognize this man, Monkey D. Garp!

-Luffy’s jaw was dropped, “Grandpa?!” everyone quickly turned in shock, hearing this, yelling in shock while your little hands came to your face in shock.

-Garp then made you gasp as he punched Luffy, sending him flying into a wall. Zoro and Sanji were stunned, ready for a fight, seeing that he was able to hurt Luffy.

-You pushed on Franky’s chest and you managed to slip out of his arms and you ran over as Garp stalked towards Luffy, cracking his knuckles, ready to discipline him before you ran in front of your brother.

-Your arms were spread and you had big fat tears in your eyes, “Please don’t hurt my big brother!” everything froze, seeing you protecting Luffy and Garp stammered, trying to tell you that he wasn’t going to hurt Luffy, just discipline him.

-The tears fell from your eyes and Garp instantly fell to his knees, hugging you close, “Grandpa’s so sorry little Y/N! I didn’t mean to make you cry!”

-You sniffled loudly as Luffy struggled to his feet, a bit dizzy, before you spoke, “You’re my grandpa?” Garp glared at Luffy, his eyes turning red, “You didn’t tell her about your one and only grandpa?!”

-You tugged on Garp’s shirt gently, not seeing him as someone so scary now, “I have two grandpas- you’re my second one!”

-Garp turned to stone in shock before crumbling into a sobbing pile while Robin picked you up, holding you up on her hip, he cried, lamenting that he wasn’t your first grandpa.

-He then shot up, looking completely fine, looking fired up, “So who was your first grandpa?!” he wanted to find out to take that title from whoever got to you first, no matter who it was.

-You beamed brightly, your arms lifting to the sky happily, “I’ve never seen him but I’ve talked to him with Big Brother Ace- he said his name is Whitebeard!”

-The flames around Garp seemed to increase, growing hotter as his eyes turned red, furious that his adorable granddaughter had been adopted by Whitebeard of all people and that you saw him as your first grandpa, while Garp was in second place!

-He could only imagine you (in cartoon form), in Whitebeard’s arms, laughing with him as he stood on the 1st place spot of a podium while Garp was on his knees in second place.

-Garp wasn’t going to deal with your crew at the moment, instead joining you all for a meal, you sitting on his knee as you held a cup of juice.

-Garp noticed the bandage on your head, “What caused this?” you lifted your hand to your head and Nami was the one to answer, “It was that marine, Spandam- he hit Y/N for trying to protect Robin.”

-Garp froze, turning white, hearing that a grown adult- a grown man, put his hands on a child, injuring you as he was quick to get fired up, “Where is the bas-basket case!” he caught himself, not wanting to swear in front of you.

-You didn’t know why he was calling Spandam a basket, before his face appeared in your head, and his mask did look a bit like a basket.

-Your family was also still furious at Spandam, glaring and voicing their own anger while you were eating a cookie Garp gave to you.

-Nami pointed at him, scolding him, “Oi! Don’t be giving her cookies for breakfast!” you flinched as Garp just beamed brightly, “It’s fine- it’s fine!” Sanji grabbed you, “It is not fine! She needs healthy food in the morning.” Garp pouted, wanting to spoil you.

-He then spoke again, “So where is Spandam?” a few grins appeared as Franky ruffled your hair gently, “Y/N here took care of him, with a well-placed headbutt to the family jewels!”

-Garp laughed loudly, finding it hysterical, before he ruffled your head, praising you before he stood, telling Luffy about Dragon, his dad and you had question marks floating around your head, as you didn’t know any dragons.

-Luffy told you that he would tell you all about his dad and Garp gave you a bag of cookies, “I have to leave now my little Y/N~ I’ll come back to spend some time with you.”

-You smiled up at him, holding your hand up to him, extending your pinkie finger, “Pinkie promise?” Usopp was the one to teach you about pinkie promises, and Garp as well as several others around, Usopp, Luffy, Franky, Iceberg, and Sanji, all collapsed to the ground, clutching at their chests at your cuteness.

-After Garp left and all the damage caused by Aqua Laguna was fixed, everyone celebrated! There was a huge party with drinking, eating lots of barbeque, and you got to run around with Chimney in the water, being a normal kid for one, wearing your starfish shaped water wings that Franky gave you over your wet suit.

-Franky was confused why you were wearing a wet suit as he was your lifeguard, letting you sit on his leg, asking you and you pulled your arms in close, looking down at your hands, “There’s…” you couldn’t speak, instead pulling your sleeve up, showing him the scars, at least some of them, on your arms.

-His eyes were wide, seeing his as he held your hand gently, before a hand on his head pulled him out of his shock, and you both saw Luffy there who kneeled down, seeing you showing Franky your scars, “Someone hurt Y/N- badly. We don’t know much, but all we know is that he will never touch her again.”

-You gave Luffy a small nod before you all decided to head to the ship for a private party, having a bath with Robin and Nami while the boys started up a barbeque.

-You ran out to Luffy, grabbing his hand, pulling him away from the fire, looking excited as Nami grinned, walking out with Ace’s DenDen Mushi, “Nami and I are gonna call Ace and grandpa!”

-You sat on Luffy’s lap while he continued to eat, not bothering you heard it ringing before you heard Ace, “Is this my most favorite little sister~?” you giggled warmly, “Hi Ace!”

-Aboard the Moby Dick, their own drinking party, because it was Wednesday, everything went quiet as most everyone huddled around Ace, hearing the voice of their adorable little sister and granddaughter.

-You and Ace talked about your most recent adventures, including where Robin was kidnapped and then you were taken too. Ace was furious, flames surrounding him as they all heard that Spandam hurt you- and Whitebeard was ready to call for an attack before Nami had to tell Ace that you took care of Spandam yourself, taking out his family jewels.

-It was silent on the other side, all their anger instantly leaving before you flinched back into Luffy’s arms, hearing the roar of laughter from the other side.

-Once Ace was able to breathe again, he spoke, “What else happened?” you beamed brightly, “I met another grandpa- his name is Garp!”

-Ace shivered deeply, recalling his own memories of Garp before he managed to force a smile, “Oh? And how was he?” you thought for a moment, “Kinda loud- and he cried when I told him that Whitebeard is my first grandpa, while he was my second.”

-Whitebeard beamed warmly, hearing that he was your first, but he couldn’t help but imagine Garp lamenting over the fact that he was the second.

-The following day, you woke up to loud shouting and you wandered out of your room, a little delirous as you wandered over, rubbing your eyes as you grabbed Zoro’s pants, “Why is everyone yelling?”

-He kneeled down, putting his hand on your head and your eyes went wide as everyone showed you their new bounties, your eyes immediately sparkling brightly.

-Robin then smiled, “Here Y/N- this one is yours.” You looked exited, taking it while Luffy was pouting lightly, seeing your 400,000,000 beri bounty while you were gawking, “So many zeros!”

-You quickly ran to put it up on your wall, showing the other bounties as well and you beamed, feeling proud of yourself.

-You then noticed Sanji looked sad when you came back out and you quickly found out why, because the marines didn’t have a good photo, so they used a crudely drawn one by Luffy instead and Sanji was upset because it didn’t look a thing like him!

-You quickly ran back to your room, coming out with your drawing materials Usopp had given you and you got to work, making a new bounty poster to make your big brother happy!

-It took you over an hour to draw, everyone who had seen you saw the focus on your face before you ran to Sanji, “I made it better!”

-You drew your own bounty poster, including ‘bounty’ being spelled wrong, and a children’s drawing in the middle, showing Sanji making food with hearts surrounding him.

-Sanji fell to his knees, tears streaming down his face as he held it up to the sky, overwhelmed with happiness before he cried into his elbow, thanking you warmly, making you beam before your smile grew as he put it on the fridge, “So I can see it every day!”

-You celebrated with your crew, having a big feast to celebrate the new bounties, unaware of the, literal, darkness on the horizon.

I just finished pre-timeskip and before i get into fishmen arc here are some thoughts

Favorite Strawhat : Sanji, Luffy

Favorite non-Strawhat : nefertari vivi, Bonclay

Other characters I liked : Dr Kureha (girlboss), the baratie workers, portgas d Ace (*sobs uncontrollably*), Hachi the octopus, Vivi's duck karoo, boa hancock, Rayleigh, ivankov HEEHAW,

Favourite friendships : zoro-luffy, zoro-chopper, sanji-ace (sobs uncontrollably), nami-usopp, Luffy-vivi, Luffy-bon chan

Favorite island : Little Garden, Water 7

Favorite Villains :

Captain Kuro and the kuro neko pirates were good and i liked the unique fighting style they had (siam and buchi, then jango was hilarious as hell etc)

Don krieg was the scum of earth but he made the story progress into something more serious and thrilling.

Sawtooth Arlong, the fishmen were all intimidating as hell and the whole arc was filled to the brim with excitement

The Baroque works concept was very cool with all the code names and i felt eager to find out the powers of the duos being revealed slowly. I liked Ms. Goldenweek and Ms doublefinger and would love to see more of them in the future. Finally Crocodile served well as a villain and later as an ally.

Skypiea Eneru (enel?idk) was so formidable and his power was so very unique from all the villains up till that arc, so it was very refreshing to watch. Plus the priests and their fighting style was a good introduction to haki (called as mantra) and its influence in a fight. (Strawhats' fight with satori was fun HOH HO HO).

CP9 were all parts of ruthless and annoying about their government assigned crimes but i like that Chapapa guy the most, he's cute asf and Rob Lucci turning into a tiger gave me a shock lmao. But damn rob lucci as a shipwright was some hot shit

Aokiji gave me blood pressure from how angry he makes me but him letting go off robin in water 7 and all that time ago in ohara, he has left an impression and I'm looking forward to find out more about him

Bartholomew Kuma gave me the HOLY FUCK OH SHIT OH GOD FUCK HE IS HERE AGAIN jolts but then turned out to be a nice person with mysterious lore that im eager to find out so he deserves a place here. Plus his paw paw power is cute

Perona's negative hollow power was hilarious and she's a nice cutie girl who considers zoro a boytoy like me and Luffy so that's a plus

Favourite devil fruit power so far : tori tori no mi : model phoenix (marco) i like the flight and his regeneration power

Favourite moments : Enies Lobby Sogeking shooting down the govt flag as the strawhats announce war against them, sabaody archipelago Luffy punching a celestial dragon (GOAT Luffy), marineford Luffy punching Garp (GOAT LUFFY), Luffy crying after Ace's death, Luffy punching bellamy

Favourite fights : Luffy vs kuro pirates, Luffy vs Crocodile final battle in alabasta, Sanji on the train fighting that ramen guy, zoro vs hachi, little garden final battle

Best arc : Arlong, Little garden, Enies Lobby, Thriller Bark (i love spooky things and tb was hilarious)

Thoughts on the Strawhats :

Luffy : I've grown to love him a lot. His innocence, childlike excitement and badbitchery have rizzed me up, your honor. Also he is a musical genius, minami no shimawa has been SOTY for decades. Plus I really love Luffy's eating moments. He looks so cute and stupid and it melts my heart so much i know a Luffy mukbang show would go SO HARD

Zoro : His backstory felt a bit lukewarm but he later made up for everything. He turned out to be so thoughtful, brave and selfless, especially, zoro's character got new dimension during water 7 saga and ofc thriller bark zoro is one for the history books.

Nami : at first she irked me a bit, but after knowing her backstory, I started loving her. She's strong, resourceful, selfless and smart.

Usopp : his quirks, especially during the G-8 filler arc after skypiea, Usopp's CONDORRRIANO still cracks me up like no other. And him getting all the protective religious gears and garlic necklace when he saw Brook, was hilarious.

Chopper : little baby, soft fuzzy and dumb as fuck but has been so so traumatized. Also Tony Tony chopper has to be the cutest name anyone has ever been given, little baby is always too hard on himself (typical capricorn) and needs to chill.

Franky : I love his dance routines, and his franky family was cool as well. I once even followed one of his routines he does after he landed in the karakuri island (it was a good hip movement after binging one piece for HOURS). Also i miss mozu and kiwi dance icons

Robin : She filled me with rage during water 7, but after her backstory, I understood her more. She's cute and her nihilistic outlook on life is hilarious

Sanji : PERFECTION. He took my heart even before baratie (I saw a person doing leg karate in one of the openings and couldn't wait to meet him). His initial backstory (the starvation and zeff) moved me,and based on that i can see how thoughtful and kind he is. I can't wait to discover more about this wonderful character in depth. His badbitchery with fullbody, His kindness with Gin and don Krieg, the unique way he fights - he had me from the very first appearance. And I can't believe he has more depth to his already beautiful complex character. look at my pretty boy

Brook : i love how polite but chaotic he is and how easily he blends in with the strawhats. And i absolutely love how open minded Luffy was with Brook, and their interactions crack me UP.

General thoughts about op :

- op keeps me on my toes with the constant new islands, the new characters, both allies and villains, being gradually introduced feels very refreshing and thrilling

- Even the Strawhats slowly joined with a fun (sometimes sad) story. The introduction with a fresh face and the development of a new friendship felt good and didn't jumble my brain with too much information at the same time

- I love the dynamics of the strawhats and how wholesome all of them are in their own ways

- The summit war wasn't as exciting as i was expecting, it felt too drawn out and the constant switch between different fight scenes and fighting parties made things feel unfinished. On that note, whitebeard and his pirates were disappointing asf

- Excited to see more of Bartholomew Kuma, shanks, crocodile, mihawk, ivankov, perona, captain kidd, Law

- Bon chan is GOAT and i better be seeing him soon

Okay but- I'm not the same asl+sanji brothers au ask but I'm thinking about this a lot

Like, is said that Sanji run away when they were in the East Blue so, what if be accident the sea makes he go to Goa? Like, Luffy and Makino finds him in the beach, hurt and with a metal thing in his head and Luffy calls Ace and Sabo, and when they see how this boy is they are horrified.

The first weeks are hard, Sanji is always scared and flinchs at everything. Until Sabo mention something about a sea creature or cooking and Sanji is, for the first time, really talking with them and not flinching much.

Some time later, during the night when Luffy is already asleep, the 3 start to talk (more Ace and Sabo since Sanji don't really talk unless 'necessary') and Sanji ends up telling them everything he went through and- both older boys are so mad.

After this, Ace and Sabo start to be more protective of him since, well- their 'little brother' suffered as hell and still is really traumatized.

In this, Sabo don't lose his memory (he still has the scar and meet Dragon, but he ask to go back to his brothers and end up saying something about 'Makino' and Dragon drops him in the place without anyone notice) but has 3 brothers hugging him while the two younger cry their eyes out.

Since Sanji is raised with these 3 feral boys who he started to call brothers, he is more feral than in canon. But I also think he wouldn't be the way he is in canon with women, in truth, probably he would fight one just like Luffy.

In Marineford, Sabo still has his memories and manage to enter and help alongside Sanji and Luffy (I hc that even if Sabo don't go with Dragon he would still be a Revolutionary bc of like, discovering about and liking it). All of them are hurt but if it's to save one of them, is worth it.

(Zosan bonus: when the strawhats first meet Ace, he is always with Luffy and Sanji, and for Zoro who already has a small crush in the cook just make him jealous)

(WCI arc bonus: when everything with the Vinsmokes hapoens, there's no way Ace and Sabo don't go to drag their brother back, because after all the Vinsmokes did to Sanji, they aren't letting him go with them – even if to save his crew)

That's a whole timeline split. Damn. Alright. For Sanji to show up on the beach with the fucking mask??? And no one knowing where he came from having someone have to pick the fucking lock to get it off would traumatise everyone around. He's skittish and jumpy and they quickly learn to tone down the violence. This twirly browed kid who mumbled his name is 'Sanji' and is so quiet even with Makino.

When they mention having to cook that's the first time Sanji starts talking with them. They managed to convince Sanji to cook for them and it's over from them on. Sanji is theirs, dammit! Sabo, Ace, and Luffy are all about protecting Sanji and Sanji is weirded by that and Luffy is fucking rubber so ya know. They're better than his blood brothers that's for sure.

And yeah one night Luffy is asleep so the elder three are talking and at some point Ace asks about the helmet and why Sanji was wearing it when he showed up. Ace has no tact and the look Sabo gives him as Sanji's eyes well with tears that freely fall as he explains he'd been in it for two years in a dungeon in his kingdom. That his father did it to him when he failed to kill him, that his blood brothers would hurt him constantly, that he was the shame of the Germa kingdom and of Vinsmoke Judge. Ace and Sabo are crying too and holding Sanji and claiming him to be their brother and they seal it when Luffy wakes up with a drink.

If Sabo keeps his memories and comes back with Dragon, Luffy's dad who all the boys tilt their heads at because what the fuck but also Sanji and Luffy are crying because Sabo's home! He's home but Sabo explains he talked to Luffy's dad and is going to join the revolutionary army but he'll visit, a lot! So much! And he does! He's there for every birthday and event and stuff. When Ace sets off they're all happy and waving.

Also basically if Sanji isn't raised by Zeff/only by Zeff he's fighting anyone and everyone. Also imagine a Sanji who's still just as good of a cook as he usually is but just as feral. Sabo gave him a bunch of cook books and normal books so like Sanji's got the book smarts for the Strawhats and Luffy's got the emotional intelligence because if they weren't together it would be chaos and truthfully it's probably best that Sanji and Luffy set off together.

In Alabasta everyone is like laughing cuz that's Luffy's brother how cool! Why is he also hanging off Sanji? And Zoro is getting insanely jealous and Sanji, the flaming bisexual that he is like, "oh I'm Luffy's other brother! There's a fourth one of us too but he's with Luffy's dad rn! No need to be so jealous, Moss!"

Marineford shows Luffy, Sabo, and Sanji showing up. Garp is staring at his three grandsons and he's with the fourth one on the execution platform. Sabo, Garp and Ace see Sanji catch his legs on fire with no fruit and it's all. And then when they save Ace and escape with the White Beard fleet.

WCI is going to be a fucking threat if Sabo, Ace, and Luffy are all descending on to Tottoland to get Sanji back. I imagine Koala and Nami are having constant heart palpitations, Brook can't cuz he's dead and he can't even bite his finger nails, cuz, ya know, he's dead.

Walking up to the sunny's head you peer over the edge to see Luffy looking out at the ocean while relaxing against the lions rays "Hay Lu" You call out earning a curious hum as the captain turns his head to look at you, a big smile grows on his face as he turns his body to face you "Have you seen Zoro?" You ask before Luffy can say anything, his smile fades hearing the worry in your voice while placing a finger on his chin trying to think of when he last sore the swordsman "Urm, I think he went to train after breakfast" With a sigh you lean against the railing "I had Usopp check the crows nest for me, but he wasn't up there, i just hope he didn't go off and get lost" Luffy tilts his head at your concern, it's a small island and with the amount of people about the swordsman should be able to come back one way or another "I'm sure he's fine, we won't leave without him" The captain smiles before turning to looking out at the ocean while leaning back against the rays of the Sunny "I know we won't but... Nami's already stressed about leaving and Sanji's getting antsy because of that. It just means less stress if he stays on the ship" Looking over the island you hope from this point you can spot Zoro but there's no sign of him, Luffy lets out a laugh and stretches his arm down to pat your head "I love that about you... you care about the crew" You smile up at Luffy as you take his hand off your head and give it a kiss "Thanks Lu, I'll see you later, i'm gonna find our Swords master" You giggle before letting him go and walking away.

Walking down to the grassy deck you spot Chopper and Robin talking to Orlumbus "Hay guys" You call out as the large pirate captain places another crate down, they seem full of medical supply's and books, for a pirate this captain can be too generous some times. "Hay Y/N, come check this out, Orlumbus has so many cool books" Chopper cheers as you step closer to look at the book he's holding, it's a medical book on plants some of which you've never heard of before "Very cool... Thanks for all this, you've already done so much for us already" You smile up at the large pirates who smiles back at you with a big laugh "Don't sweat it, i'm more than happy to share my findings and work with people who are interested" He states before looking at Robin who hasn't taken her eyes off a book open in her hand, the cover was blank so your guessing it's a journal or some sort. "We'll I'm glad you can, iv heard your work is underrated" You giggle as the large pirate shoots his head your way in surprise only for Robin to pipe up and agree with you "This is amazing, i would love to see more next time i see you" The black haired woman shuts the book before holding it out to the large pirate and starting to discuss his work. Not wanting to interrupt them you look down at Chopper who still going through his new book "Hay Chopper, sorry to interrupt but have you seen Zoro?" Your concerned voice makes the reindeer quickly look up at you while shaking his head becoming a little worried.

With a sigh you pinch the bridge of your nose hoping and praying in your head that he hasn't gone off the ship "He left an Hour ago" Brooks voice behind you make you jump suddenly turning around and throwing a punch at the skeleton behind you. Panting your eyes widen due to the panic you just felt but also the shock of just punching your crew mate in the chest "Oh shoot, Brook i'm so sorry" You cover your mouth as you step closer to the groaning Skeleton on the floor, behind you Robin lets out a giggle soon making the large pirate laugh along with her while Chopper runs over to Brook seeing if he's ok. "I'm sorry Nami" Brook calls out as the doctor helps him sit up, you raise an eyebrow at him while bending down to him "You ok Brook? Did you hit your head? Y/N hit you not Nami" Chopper asks unsure of why he would call you Nami but both your fears soon faded "Hu? It felt like Nami's punch... That was you Y/N? Yoohooo" He laughs making you sigh in relief before standing up and offering a hand to him helping your crew mate off the floor. "I'm really sorry about that Brook but please don't sneak up behind me again" you beg getting the skeleton to nod while rubbing his chest where you hit him "I didn't mean to scare you but i heard you were looking for Zoro, he went on a walk and hour ago" You groan at your worst fears becoming reality, it may be a small island but Zoro can get lost anywhere, he could be on one of the other ships or worse the dense forest in the middle of the island.

Chopper take your hand bringing you back to him "I'll come with you if you want" The reindeer smiles up at you, its hard not to say yes but you've gone off to look for Zoro on your own before so you should be ok, even after everything that has happened you want to be able to do the things you used too, on the other hand you could use the help since there are quite a few ships "I'll be ok if i check the left side, since there's less people and ships but maybe someone could check the right side?" You ask while grabbing a jacket and pulling it over your shoulders "I'll check for you" Brook pipes in before placing a hand on Choppers head "Since you seem to have your hands full" The skeleton states while looking over at the medical boxes, Chopper nods before turning to you still a little worried, but he didn't want to stop you from trying to get back to normal "Ok be careful, take breaks and come back to the Sunny if it's too much" Chopper calls out after you as you walk off the Sunny and make your way down the beach. Luckily there are only two ships on the left side of the sunny so your hope is Zoro will be on one of them, if not you know it's going to be hard to check the forest with your legs so its better if you just head back or wonder the beach. After walking past the Sunny's head you wave up at Luffy who happily waves back with a big smile, you know the captain won't come with you unless you ask him but your determined to get back to normal and what better way to do that than to go off to find your lost swordsman.

The first ship is Ideo's, there's a few people on the deck but none of them are the long armed captain of this ship, standing near the ramp you finally spot someone who looks familiar a long-legged Blue haired man. "Excuse me.. Gilly" You call out seeing the man with Blue hair put a crate down before standing to his full height turning his attention to you. He gives you a smile as he leans on the railing of the ship "Oh hay Y/N, what can we do for you?" Gilly calls down to you, You wrap your arms around yourself calming your nerves as you call back up to him "Have you seen Zoro?" You ask only to see the blue haired man sigh and pinch his nose before calling out for his captain, you raise an eyebrow at him as his long armed Captain comes out of a room and walks over to his crew mate "She's looking for Zoro" Gilly crosses his arms over his chest seeming annoyed for some reason, Ideo shakes his head as he walks walk past his crew mate to head down the ramp to you "Sorry Y/N, i did try and point him towards the Sunny, but he headed off another way" You let out a small laugh surprising the captain in front of you "Typical, even if i tattooed left and right on his hand he still wouldn't be able to navigate... which did he walk off too?" You ask earning a laugh off the long armed man before he points across the beach to words the next ship "He went that way, i heard he was bad with directions but not that bad" You nod with a sigh of relief happy that the swordsman didn't head into the forest, you hope there's still a chance he's on the next ship or just down the beach. "Thanks for trying anyway" You give Ideo a smile before turning to leave only for the man to call out to you "Y/n wait.. Here" The captain reaches into his pocket and takes out a small business card, it has name and number on it but no address.

You look at him a bit confused but you take it to look over the card "After everything i think you might benefit from this. Miss Ore is a therapist that you can talk too over the phone, she doesn't see anyone in person since she usually deals with Pirates and criminals. She's also quite affordable, I've talked to her a few times, and she's really good" Ideo blushes a little from embarrassment but you give him a thankful smile as your eyes well up with tears "Thank you, I-I really appreciate it" The kind gesture really touched your heart but you managed to hold back the tears, the captain nods to you before heading back up the ramp, walking down the beach again you place the card in your pocket to keep it safe. Therapy was something that Chopper talked to you about but the thought of talking to your crew mate about it all didn't sit right with you. At least now you can talk to someone outside of your crew, someone you don't have to look at when you talk about what happened, plus Ideo's a proud man for him to trust this person enough to talk about his problems must mean she's good. Making it to the next ship you can't help but admire its beauty, Cavendish's ship is just as big and flamboyant as he is with its giant white horse on the front along with perfect white sails, all coming together with swaying lines and curved rooms. "I see we have an admirer" Cavendish's voice calls out from behind you along with heavy footsteps from his horse.

Turning with a slight gasp you place a hand over your heart seeming to surprise the man on his white horse. "I'm sorry my Dear, i didn't mean to scare you" Cavendish smiles before getting off Farul who huffs stepping a little closer to you, reaching your hand out you let the horse sniff your hand before you pet him "It's ok, I'm still a bit jumpy" You comment letting the horse's soft fur and main help to calm you down, Cavendish holds the rains as he steps closer to you pulling out a rose from his coat before bowing a little "Let me make it up to you with a tore" He smiles up at you as he offers the rose, with a nervous laugh you hold up both of your hand and take a stop back from him "Oh no there's no need to make it up to me, thank you though.. I'm actually looking for Zoro, have you seen him?" You ask earning a groan in response from the beautiful pirate, Farul huffs seeming annoyed before nudging Cavendish's side getting the man to snap out of his hate filled gaze at the floor "Unfortunately yes, I was looking for some good flowers to pick when i came across him, i was leading him back only to turn around and find him gone" Cavendish sighs as he points behind him at the forest, a pit forms in your stomach as you look over to the dense forest, you know it won't be a good idea to go in there looking for him so your best option is to head back to the Sunny and either bring someone with you or get someone to look for him. "That's just great" You sigh sarcastically while wrapping your arms around yourself.

With your hopes of finding him yourself dashed you turn to head back to the Sunny "Thanks for trying to bring him back but I'll have to get-" Your interrupted when the beautiful pirate to run up and stop in front of you making you gulp and freeze in place "There's no need to worry dear, I can take you too him, i'm sure you'll have more luck getting him to follow than i can" He laughs holding out his hand for you to take after placing the rose back on his coat, it was a tempting offer but you shake your head remembering Chopper's words to take breaks and to come back if you need help "Thanks for the offer but its not good for me to walk around the forest" You smile patting your leg lightly giving him a hint on why without saying it outright, to your surprise he didn't move out of your way instead he waves his hand to his horse "Don't fret dear, you can ride on Farul, if your hurting i don't want to make anything worse" He smiles as Farul walks up next to you lightly nudging your arm with his snout, knowing Cavendish won't give up and it'll be much easier to find Zoro this way you feel like you have to accept his offer. "Ok" You sigh earning a big smile off Cavendish who flawlessly mounts his horse before holding his hand out to you, your nerves start to get the best of you since he would be behind you with how far back he's sitting. "Don't be shy, it'll be easier if your in front" The beautiful pirate could see your nerves but kept his hand out waiting for you to take it. Taking a breath to calm yourself you shakily take his hand letting him help you up onto Farul, before you can say anything though the horse starts moving towards the forest.

Cavendish holds the rains his arms on either side of you caging you on, gripping the front of the saddle you try and calm yourself down since Cavendish's chest is currently pressed up against your back making you nervous from the unwanted touch, what made it worse is the silence that fell between the two of you. Farul stepped into the wooded area starting to go down a path that looks quite trampled probably the path that they took before. "Did you enjoy last night?" The beautiful pirate asks making you flinch at the sudden sound but nod in response unable to speak with how hard your clenching your teeth together and the heaviness in your chest. "When i heard you were awake i went to your ship with some flowers, but they told me you were already at the feast, i tried looking for you but i couldn't find you" He sounded quite sad but for the first time you didn't want to console someone, too tense on the current situation, you shouldn't have taken him up on his offer but now your hear you might as well grin and bear it until you find Zoro. You kept your eyes open for any sign of the swordsman as Cavendish babbles about stuff behind you, you could tell he was talking through the vibration in his chest against your back but you couldn't hear it, your mind blocking it out as your mind races. Feeling trapped by his arms, in the middle of a dense forest with the one your looking for no where in sight made your anxiety start to rise. You hate yourself for all this, the way your thinking and feeling, these people have been nothing but kind to you and yet your scared of them.

You were never afraid of people before, You could go on walks on your own, you could take a bath without issue and even talk to people you didn't know without feeling like they might hurt you but now you can't do any of those things, heck you can't even talk to people you know without a tightening of your chest or a sudden wave of numbness over you body making you want to freeze or cling onto Zoro or Luffy. Your strong and you can kick someones ass if you wanted but for some reason you now only want to cling onto your boys for safety, you just want things to go back to normal, you want to feel normal again. Farul suddenly stops jolting you a little while snapping you out of your thoughts "Y/N Dear" Cavendish calls out to you as his hands hold your arms stopping you from falling off, turning you notice the concerned look on his face "Are you alright?" He asks bringing a hand up to wipe your cheek, its only now you realize you've been shaking and crying "I-i'm sorry" You turn back to face the front while wiping your face trying to stop the tears, the beautiful pirate lets out a sad sigh as he pulls your face to look back at him by your chin, your breath hitches in your throat as your brought to face him. Your mind twists in fear turning the world around you into something different, reminding you more of the mansion, the clothes on yourself feel too tight like the dress you were forced into and the way Cavendish had his hands on you felt all too familiar. You know he's just trying to help and that the person your looking at is a friend but the more you looked at Cavendish the more things changed.

His charming smile didn't look charming anymore, it looks so fake and proud, just like Charlos's. "There is no need to apologies dear... It's ok, your safe" His voice is soft and smooth trying to calm you down as your body tenses up as you struggle to try and breath while your body trembles "Please... let go" You whisper as tears slip out of your eyes, you want out of this situation but your body won't move, it won't fight back, your trapped and no one is here to help you "Oh my dear, I'm sorry but i can't let a pretty thing like you cry" He wipes the tear from your face as your eyes widen at his word chose, suddenly your filled with anger, the fear long gone as you smack his hand away from your cheek earning a surprised look "Don't call me that" You yell before jumping off Farul, Cavendish tries to help you down so you don't hurt yourself but you smack his hands away again while stumbling onto the floor "Y/n, i'm sorry i didn't mean to upset you" The beautiful pirate jumps off his horse as you back up away from him "Get away from me" You yell out backing up until your back hits a tree, you gasp and turn thinking you walked into a person but the sudden turn causes your foot to get stuck in a pile roots. Luckily you don't fall but Cavendish walks over to help only to stop when you yell at him again "Don't touch me" Cavendish holds his hands up as he stepped back seeing your panicked state, you try pulling your foot out of the mess of roots you've gotten tangled up in, but they won't budge "Ok, i won't touch you, just try and calm down i don't want you to hurt yourself" Cavendish calmly says staying back as he watches you try and yank your leg out.

Tears fall down your face as you panic still trying to yank your leg out but it won't budge and the more you pull the more it hurts. "Y/n, please i don't want you to get hurt, i can help you if you'll let me" Cavendish begs taking a step closer but your head shoots up to glare at him "No, This was a mistake following you out here. What the fuck was i thinking?" You scream out angry at yourself as you stop pulling on your leg keeping your eyes on the man in front of you. "Y/n, i'm really sorry, i didn't know i was the reason you were crying, if i had know i would have changed things" His eyes soften as he lowers his hands suddenly realizing why you must have freaked out on him. "Do i remind you of him?" Cavendish asks cringing at his own question, his question manages to break you out of your angry state, now realizing the outburst you just had and the position you've gotten yourself into. There's a moment of silence between the two of you as you ponder how to answer but you soon manage to find the words through the mess of your mind "Yes and No, Your not like him at all, not personalty wise and certainly not look wise" you state as your eyes soften a bit no longer feeling angry. Cavendish's eyes shine bright happy that he didn't have a awful personality and hideous appearance in your eyes "But some of your actions did remind me of him... I'm sorry for my outburst, i should have said something but... I felt trapped and i don't like people behind me not even members of my crew... and that word" You look down as you talk while holding back tears.

It's hard for you to say that word so you grit your teeth as you say it "Pretty... I-i can't, i hate that word so much, i-its awful, i can't stand it" Your breath quickens as you wrap your arms around yourself, your mind races with thoughts of how stupid you are for thing you could do this, that you could go back to normal. "This was a mistake, I shouldn't have come out here on my own, I should have taken Chopper or Luffy with me, I should have stayed on the sunny. I'm so stupid, I shouldn't have taken you up on your offer, i shouldn't have come out here" You cry out your voice getting louder and louder as you struggle to breath, the beautiful pirate shakes his head starting to walk closer as slowly as he can to not scare you. "My dear" He says while reaching out his hand going to place it on your cheek only to gasp when a sword is pressed against his throat, hearing his gasp you look up seeing Zoro's rage filled eyes on Cavendish "Zoro" You whisper wanting to run over to him but you leg was still caught "Step away" Zoro commends the beautiful pirate who raises his arms up stepping back all the way to Farul, Cavendish wants to be angry, but he can't blame Zoro for his actions, if someone made his love upset he'd do the same thing. The swordsman turns to you and steps closer placing an arm around your waist, wrapping your arms around his neck you cling into him as he slices through the roots and helps you step out "Where did you go?" You cry into his shoulder as he walks you away from the pile or roots in case you get caught again. "I'm sorry baby but It's ok, i got you" The swordsman whispers to you as you cling into him for dear life.

Cavendish goes to speak when Zoro raises his sword pointing the tip to the beautiful pirates neck, hearing Cavendish growl at the swordsman you look up while wiping your tears, once you can see what's happening you place a hand on Zoro's to pull the sword away from Cavendish, The swordsman lets you but looks down at you with concern. "He didn't do anything wrong, he was just trying to help, i-i overacted" You state before wrapping your arms around Zoro's waist again, The swordsman sighs while putting his sword away, so he can hold you with both arms, "You didn't overreact Y/N, I understand my actions unknowingly caused you distress" Cavendish sighs as Farul nudges his side, Zoro gives the beautiful pirate a side eye still not sure what happened between the two of you "Thanks for the help... We should head back and this time no going off the ship" You pull away from the swordsman's neck to look over at the beautiful pirate before turning your attention to Zoro lightly scolding him for leaving and getting lost, the green haired man sighs while looking away from you, "Y/N dear come and ride on Farul, i don't want you getting hurt, I'll stay on the ground this time" Cavendish pipes up but before you can answer Zoro lifts you up into his arms causing you to let out a small gasp at his sudden action, he shoots you an apologetic look before glaring at the beautiful pirate "No, I've got her, just lead the way" With a sigh Cavendish mounts his horse and starts walking back as Zoro follows, "Did he try anything?" The swordsman whispers not wanting the man in front of you two to hear.

Wrapping your arms around his neck you lean into him while shaking your head "No, it wasn't anything like that, it's my fault really, i should have said something before it got out of hand" You sigh hating yourself for the way you reacted, if the beautiful pirate wasn't so kind you would most likely be left out here "I guess i won't beat his ass then" Zoro jokes to cheer you up with a grin on his face, you slap his chest lightly with a glare making him laugh but place a kiss on your forehead "He helped me look for you, the least you can do is thank him" You poke his chest earning a sigh and an eye roll but you keep up your stern look soon making the swordsman give in "Fine, Fine, I'll thank him" Happy with his answer you lay your head back down on his shoulder while placing a light kiss on his neck, once out of the forest you lift your head back up to look at Cavendish and Farul "Thanks guys, i can take him back from here" You manage to get of Zoro's arms feeling more confident on the packed sandy floor than the dist forest floor. "I'm more than happy to help, although next time i lead you back swordsman you better actually follow" The beautiful pirate scolds earning a grumble of curse words in response from the green haired man but you jab his side with your elbow making him stop with a groan of pain. Zoro lets out a long sigh knowing what you want "Thanks" It was quick and simple but it did the trick for both you and Cavendish who looked quite surprised "Y-Your welcome" The Beautiful pirate turns with Farul and walks away with a puzzled look on his face no used to getting any kind of thank you from Zoro.

Leaning up you place a kiss on Zoro's cheek before linking arms with him "Come on Hunk, lets get back before Nami freaks out again" You state with a small laugh before dragging him along with you, he doesn't put up much of a fight, but he didn't seem to happy about gong back since he knows he's going to get a scolding off some members of the crew, the only person he's not worried about is Luffy, speaking of which. "Did you bring Luffy with you?" Zoro asks wondering why the captain would let you go off alone after everything that happened "Oh no, I said i could do it on my own, Brook was nice enough to search the right side for me so i had less ground to cover" You explain only to earn a hum of uncertainty from the swordsman "What?" a pit forms in your stomach at his sudden change in attitude, its very rare for Zoro and Luffy to fight over something but you can always tell when one is coming, right now you can feel it "I wouldn't have left you alone" The swordsman grits his teeth trying to control his anger, but he snaps out of it quite quickly when you suddenly stop and make him face you by grabbing both his arms "If i asked him to go he would have gone with me but i wanted to do it on my own... I just want to go back to normal, today didn't really work out all that well but... I'm not going to give up on trying, i won't let fear win" You state staring up at the swordsman as his eyes begin to soften, the anger inside fading as his hands reach out to cup your face "I'm proud of you Y/N" A smile forms on your face at his words, Zoro leans down and lightly kisses your lips his heart swelling with pride and love, you may have changed but your still his Y/N.

Some of my head cannons for luffy

-Wavy hair but he rarely lets it get past his shoulders mostly a short shag

-Brook often styles luffy outfits

-He has freckles but not manny just a few big ones

-(I love his little running thing with Hercules beetles I think he loves them most but generally has a fascination with bugs)

-Ppl often make the mistake of thinking sending Robin out to a new island with luffy means everything will be fine but they often have to leave islands early bc of the Kaos the two get into while out together

-Has a tattoo on his back (its the one from the official art where they all have tattoos I just really like that one but I don’t really see luffy having many visible tattoos) ofc he got it after meeting law on the low luffy is a big copy cat

-He had his ears pierced (5 in total. Each side both have the standard done but one side has a singular cartilage done and the other has double) it’s a family thing so Garp, dragon, sabo, and ace all have at least their standard lobb pierced.

-He doesn’t drink much not for any real deep reason, and especially won’t drink Sake with random people, only his crew on rare occasions bc of the significance with his brothers.

-Isn’t a good cleaner but not bc he doesn’t try he’s just genuinely not good. Sanji and him spent so much time in the kitchen together eventually he was a bit above average at helping in the kitchen, everywhere else he’s horrible at

-His rooms is moderately decorate but the area in his room with the most attention is the photo wall area

-The crew hold a spa day once a month (mostly in part bc nami got so tried of the collective lack of care from certain crew mates *camera dramatically pans to zoro and luffy*) when they do nail polish luffy is always matching with someone bc he can never just pick one color

-Big big hugger, don’t even try to run it will only make the hug more intense

-Unibrow king, it naturally thins toward the center but it’s definitely there

-He may not be much of a trinket keeper cause he’s always moving so much from place to place after merry he was more strict with what came in and out of his room but if you give him something he’ll keep it for as long as possible. I know we see that with his straw hat but in other aspects to like you go to put some of his laundry away and see a pen you lent him a long time ago laying around.

-Luffy hates to be still for to long but if someone on the crew is sick you’ll usually find him near them or if they will allow it lying in bed right next to them and be really gaf bout getting sick, he just wants to be there for his friends

-Because there can be a lot of dead time out at sea Robin taught him to crochet but he only knows one pattern and that’s a fish and he refuses to learn more patterns bc the first one was so hard. Now though on particular boring days random crochet fishes will pop up around the sunny

-Someone once called chopper a pet and got flung cross the island

-He doesn't have a favorite flower but whenever the town/island ppl give them gifts after the crew helps them without fail luffy always ends up with sunflowers.

-He has sharp k-9s ( no one knows this put him and nami both have a matching gold tooth there isn’t even any big reason either they were out shopping on day and nami seen a beautiful women with a grill and convinced luffy to get one tooth done with her )

-Ussop makes his jesus sandals

-Sabo and him penpal cause Sabo wanted to be more up to date with his little brother in as many ways a possible and the den den Mushi calls weren’t cutting it . Sabo’s are nicely done and always have a cute photo of something he’s seen while luffys just always written on the back of a wanted poster of people he knows and luffys always sends him a sea shell from each island

-Luffy loves a good sweet but he also loves his friends more and chopper’s favorite food category is sweets so when they’re on island luffy always gets him the last piece of a really good sweet.

-He can sleep anywhere, once Franky found him alseep standing up and it scared ts outta him

-He has a Portuguese (Spanish if you think of him more as the live action) accent but rarely get to actually speak Portuguese so when he does he’s even more excited.

-He’s taught the crew enough to understand him and respond, Sanji on the other hand knows Spanish and argues with him all the time.

-When him and Sabo are on the phone they speak in Portuguese exclusively

-Always giving ppl the middle finger

-Sometimes he just won’t want to sleep alone and the crew will randomly wake up with him snuggled up to them, locked doors will not stop him.

-Zoro try’s to get the crew to train with him sometimes and fails but he has a trick up his sleeve for each member to get them to train. He got luffy bc he turns it into a game, only downside for zoro is he does genuinely have to come up with a prize each time for luffy

-I know the street love ace luffy and I can see it but I can also see the he gets bitches angle, I’m more of a middle man with this and that he got moves but barely cares to put them into actions and most times doesn’t

-On sight when it comes to insulting his loved one like the person barely can finish letting out the insult (or whatever) b4 luffy on they ass

-He’s bad with dates but big on birthdays, like the one number he can always remember without fail and will have a lil sum arranged

-Jimbei luffy favorite nap partner and they be going Olympic when it comes to taking long ass naps on sunny days

when luffy returns fire on garp's ship, it was hilarious to see garp burst out into disbelieving laughter. i understand that they're leaning into the awful parent aspect of his character in this, but it's also funny seeing him unable to hide that he's actually a little proud of luffy. like hey, if you're going to be a pirate, at least you're a good one

the baratie is absolutely gorgeous! as soon as the first pictures came out last year, i was so excited to see it in person, and it did not disappoint. i especially love the little floating patios they have outside, as well as the floating docks. i would love to eat there!

mihawk is finally introduced! i love that we get to see him fighting off don krieg. i can understand why they would cut out krieg's part from the baratie arc, but as with other plot points they've cut out of the past few episodes, i like that they gave a little nod to it anyways. also, garp being the one to call mihawk on luffy gives a logical reason for mihawk to be at the restaurant on the same day as the straw hats, instead of it being an entire coincidence.

zoro and the others ribbing nami after sanji hits on her is hilarious, it feels so accurate to how actual friend groups behave. they're such children! sanji overall seems a lot more likable in this than he is in the manga, i really like him!

the scene where sanji and luffy are talking about the all blue and luffy invites sanji to join his crew is really sweet! sanji's already looking at luffy like he's head over heels for him, and that's one thing i think the cast captured really well - just how utterly adored luffy is by his crew.

when luffy tells zeff about sanji feeding Gin, and Zeff just smiles and says "he's a good kid" i just about melted. i love that he refuses to be nice to sanji's face, but is really unapologetically proud of his son behind his back.

koby's conversation with garp was well played out. i'm a little iffy about koby's character arc this season though. it seems like a good set-up for the doe-eyed, naive, kid who knows nothing about the world to realize that the organization he looks up to to protect the innocents of the world is nothing but a sham, and for him to go his own separate way, but we know that can't happen. i've always been of the opinion that koby would make a much better revolutionary than a marine tbh, and this series is bringing that out full force. but at the same time, i think i really like garp's message that yeah, the world isn't fair and it's so grating that they have to put up with the double standards inherent in a group like the seven warlords, but that at the end of the day they have to believe that the marines are doing more good by taking down dangerous pirates than the bad they're doing by turning around to the doings of the seven warlords. one piece has always done a good job at moral ambiguity, and it shows in the live action as well

also, another aspect of this conversation that i liked was garp explaining to koby that he could have been fleet admiral by now if he really wanted to, but that doing so would mean him having to compromise on his values (and for those of us who follow the manga/anime, we know that more specifically relates to taking orders from the celestial dragons), and that doing so would mean having to give up his freedom. it's a great line, because it calls back to luffy's attitude of being a pirate means having freedom. you can see that luffy and garp are both the result of taking the same ideology to different extremes. it's easy to see how they're related, and how garp's ideals had an impact as well, in the same way that shanks did.

"you could never fail me" 🥺🥺🥺 i like how iñaki played this scene. there's still a lot of room for him to grow as an actor, but i like him as luffy, and i can't wait to see his career after this. i hope we can get more seasons, so we can see him become the luffy he was always meant to be

It was no secret to anyone on this crew that you and Zoro both loved your booze. At parties, you were the best drinkers, and also the heaviest sleepers after that. On the rare occasion that the Strawhats had time to rest and play around in a town or island, both you and Zoro would be each other’s drinking buddies, no questions needed. 

And so, it came as no surprise that the both of you were equally hung up over a particularly expensive bottle of alcohol in a bar where you had both been drinking. There was only one bottle left, so getting one each was out of the question. Sharing the drink was, for some reason, not on the cards either. Probably because you were both extremely drunk — that often brought out the competitive streak in both of you.

Because you couldn’t decide on how to split it, you had agreed on a momentary truce: purchase the bottle, take it back to the ship and hand it over to Sanji who would lock it up safely in the kitchen, get some sleep and then decide what to do with it in the morning.

It was afternoon by the time you both woke up, both hungover and grumpy. The dull headache did not help to ease your foul mood in the least. 

“So, what’s the plan?” Zoro asked with a yawn, as you both eyed the precious bottle of alcohol placed atop the kitchen counter. It had cost you a good ten million Berries, and the news of the purchase had Nami smacking both of you on the head at least ten times for “wasting” that much money. 

You both knew it wasn’t a waste; this was one of the rarest drinks in all of the land, known as the “Dragon’s Tears”, a drink which was usually served exclusively to the Celestial Dragons. It could only be smuggled out in low quantities, and was sold on the black market for ridiculous prices. The fact that you had gotten it for 10 million Berries was already a huge steal.

“Dunno. Any ideas?” 

Sanji, being close enough to overhear, paused from his dishwashing to turn his head your way.

“How about sharing it?”

“No,” you and Zoro had both answered in unison, which had Sanji rolling his eyes. 

“Guess we don’t have a choice; we’ll have to settle this through a duel.”

“No way,” you had objected hotly, glaring at Zoro who was now wearing a sly smirk on his face. “We both know you’re stronger at combat.” 

“Oh yeah?” he grinned. “If you’re going to admit defeat already I’ll just take the bottle for myself now.”

“Please, if we made this a test of intelligence the bottle would be mine. We need to pick something fair.” 

“Did— Did you just call me stupid?” 

You ignored him, deep in thought and wondering how you should go about this. 

And then it came to you: an idea so brilliant, that a devious, cunning smile was playing on your lips before you realised it.

“What’s with that look on your face?” 

You said nothing, already calculating your next move.

Oh, Zoro was most definitely going to lose.

It was an especially hot, windless day, and you were on the deck with Chopper, Luffy and Usopp who had their tongues out while sweating profusely. You were all under the same tree, seeking shade from the ruthless rays of the sun. 

“Chopper, do you need some ice?” you asked, eyeing the little reindeer who looked like he might pass out at any minute. 

“That’s okay… I just… need to lie down for a bit…” 

“Maybe I’ll ask Sanji for something to cool us all down.” 

Speak of the devil. Sanji burst out the door at that exact moment, calling your name in the usual high-pitched, exaggerated tone that he reserved exclusively for women. He came skipping over to you, holding a tray of popsicles in one hand and extending a light pink one to you. 

“For you, my lady.”

You accepted it with an appreciative smile, which had Sanji doing a number of cute, happy twirls for you. The rest were quick to complain and demand for popsicles too, and in response the blond had glared at the lot of them, before hurling the popsicles at their mouths as if they were spears. 

Ignoring the sound of choking in the background, you licked at the cool surface of the popsicle, enjoying the taste of sweet strawberries on your tongue. It was a much-needed respite for your parched, dry throat. 

From the corner of your eye you noticed Zoro walking over, wiping the sweat off his forehead as he sought the shade under the tree on the opposite end of the deck. He was cool as always, ignoring the racket that was going on next to you other than to shoot an annoyed glance Sanji’s way. He then sat down on the grass, before lying down on his back, his arms crossed behind him as a makeshift pillow. 

After a moment he seemed to notice that you were staring, and you met his gaze evenly with a sly smirk. 

Keeping your eyes locked on his, you stuck your tongue out, licking the underside of the popsicle, before putting the tip in your mouth. 

Even from this distance, you could see his Adam’s apple bobbing as he swallowed.

It had been two days since the game started. The prize? The finest booze in all the land.

As for the rules? First one to touch the other would be the loser. Relieving yourselves privately or with other people was strictly prohibited too, and you’d have to rely on each other’s word for it.

You knew it was going to be difficult; you and Zoro had been going at it like rabbits almost every day, ever since you both decided to finally act on the mutual physical attraction you had for each other. Everything started when you both got extremely drunk one night in a bar and woke up the next morning to find your naked bodies snug against each other in the crow’s nest. After that, neither of you needed alcohol as a catalyst, and there was no stopping either of you from getting your hands on each other once you were away from the prying eyes of your crew members.

Nothing, until now, that was.

Zoro had been amused when you shared your idea with him, and it had been easy enough to provoke him into it with a simple “I guess you just can’t keep your hands off of me even for a day?” 

As expected, the man had snapped and immediately agreed to your terms, seeming confident that it would be an easy win for him. 

But the cocky swordsman had another thing coming if he thought you would give him an easy time. After all, you were determined to win; the stakes were high, and more importantly, you were determined not to lose to him. 

You got up, dusting the stray blades of grass off your shorts, before heading over to the tree where Zoro was laying under. 

He peeked his good eye open, peering at you warily as you approached him, obviously knowing from that smirk of yours that you were up to no good.

You plopped down next to him, taking another lick of your popsicle.

“If you want one, you better get it from Sanji soon, or everything’s gonna melt.”

“No need,” he replied with his usual stoic expression, “It’s not that hot here.”

Oh? Well then, it looked like it would be up to you to raise the temperature for him.

“Is it? I’m melting over here.” Clutching the popsicle between your lips, you made a show of lifting the hem of your crop top, before pulling it over your head and tossing the damp garment at Zoro’s face.

He caught it easily just before it could actually hit him in the face, and you listened to his disapproving grunt, followed by an almost inaudible sharp inhale of air.

You shot a knowing grin at him, which was met with a glower. You had donned a lacy bra on purpose for today, and while you were certainly giving Sanji and the others a good show, you knew this was getting under Zoro’s skin. The light pink material was almost nude under the glare of the hot sun, and you knew how much Zoro loved seeing you in delicate lingerie that was only too easy for him to tear off.

Ignoring the sound of Sanji launching himself into the air with a fountain of blood spurting through his nose and Chopper’s panicked screams behind you, you relished in Zoro’s undivided attention on your exposed skin. You could see in his good eye roaming over your body that his thoughts were trailing into dangerous territory.

Popsicles. It was the oldest trick in the book, but it worked. Every. Single. Time.

With confidence surging through you and your pulse racing from the thrill, you raised the melting popsicle once more, not flinching as a few drops of the melted liquid fell from the other end and landed onto your chest. 

Zoro didn’t seem to be breathing as he watched the pink drops of liquid slip down your chest and disappear into the valley of your breasts.

A sucking noise drew his attention back to your face, where you had half of the popsicle in your mouth now, the tip of it poking your hollowed cheek as you sucked. The sweet flavour swirled on your tongue, and you swallowed, before releasing the popsicle from your lips with a light smack and a soft moan.

Through half-lidded eyes, your gaze fell back on the swordsman who still had his good eye trained intently on you. He hadn’t looked away once, never one to back down from a challenge.

“It’s sweet,” you told him with a hum, before offering your half-eaten popsicle to him, allowing the tip to stop just shy of his tightly pursed lips.

“Try it.”

He obliged, much to your surprise, and caught a huge chunk of it between his teeth. The popsicle broke with a light crack, and the chunk that had landed in his mouth was crushed into pieces seconds later.

“It’s not that sweet,” he remarked, his lips turning up in a cocky smirk that mirrored yours.  

“I still prefer the taste of you.”

That line went straight to your loins and he knew it. The mental image of his head between your thighs, eating you out like the finest dessert he had ever tasted, filled your mind and you felt your body begin to heat up. 

Of course Zoro wasn’t about to let you walk all over him. No, it just wasn’t his style. It was one of the things that drove you crazy about him. 

Not ready to back down, you tipped your chin up in defiance and spread your legs just a little, hands trailing up your inner thigh at a deliberately slow pace.

“You’re more than welcome to dig in, you know.” You proceeded to lean in, allowing your lips to hover just above his ear. 

“And while you’re at it, you can take a look at what I’m wearing underneath.”

That seemed to really get him. His jaw was clenched, and you could see the fire in his darkened irises as you pulled away with a sweet, innocent smile.

“I will, after I win this thing.”

You laughed then, which only seemed to grate on his nerves.

“Make it quick, then. I’m throwing this set away after tonight.” The sound of grass rustling filled the silence between you as you stood up to leave.

“What? Why?” he asked.

You turned back, shooting him a wicked grin that made him instantly regret opening his big fat mouth.

“Because it’s gotten so… wet.”

You didn’t need to look to know that Zoro was probably cursing in his head right then. While you would have loved to watch him stew, you decided it was best to make your exit after winning this round.

Karma hit you like a bitch two days later, when Zoro made it abundantly clear that you had chosen to mess with the wrong guy. 

You were doing your training as usual in the crow’s nest, not seeing the need to avoid the place just because of the ongoing bet you had with Zoro. And so you were hardly surprised when he entered halfway through your workout. 

Nothing seemed out of the ordinary. You greeted each other like usual, and he went about his own thing while you did yours.  

Except, today Zoro had decided he would do his training topless. 

It wasn’t exactly unusual for the man; he often trained without a shirt on to avoid getting it completely soaked with his sweat.

But today, you knew the move was a deliberate one; a clever move in this game of chess. How did you know? Because each time he caught you sneaking a sideways glance at him, he would flash you a brazen smirk that said, “Like what you see?”

You had never been one for being discreet, habitually checking him out whenever you trained together in the crow’s nest. You couldn’t help it; Zoro was ripped in all the right places, the lines and curves of the hard muscle under his tanned skin extremely attractive in your eyes. You would find yourself lost in the way his muscles rippled and clenched as he moved, your mind wandering to all the things he could do to you with that monstrous strength of his. It would be filled with various mental images: his ass clenching while he rammed into you, his arms clenching as he held you tightly in place so he could have his way with you, your fingernail marks dotting the broad expanse of his back… 

It was no wonder then, that Zoro training topless usually ended in many, many rounds of mindblowing sex in the crow’s nest. By now, you were sure you two had christened pretty much every corner in this room. 

That was probably what he was after when he came up here. He had made it clear that he knew exactly how to push your buttons, as you did his.

With each swing of a weight easily twice his size, he would let out a grunt not dissimilar to the sounds he made while fucking you senseless. It was taking all you could to focus on your training, but even that was challenging when he was right there next to you, literal and metaphorical heat radiating off his body and drawing your attention to him like a moth to a flame. 

“Shouldn’t you be focusing on your training?” he asked in a mocking tone, breaking your train of thought and sending heat rushing to your cheeks. You dropped your gaze to the weights in your hands, resuming your bicep curls. 

“I would if you’d give me a bit more space here. You’re getting too close.” It was a bald-faced lie and didn’t sound convincing even to you. Zoro was always careful and made sure to keep a safe distance from everyone whenever he swung his sword or weights or anything else that could be dangerous. 

Nevertheless, Zoro shrugged and took a big step back.

“This good?” 

“Yeah.”

You resumed your workout, but your inability to concentrate had you losing count of your reps multiple times. It wasn’t all that surprising; the bet had been going on for a few days now, and you were pent up enough as it was. Maybe it had been a bad idea to come to the crow’s nest after all. You should have known Zoro would pull something like this; there was no way he wouldn’t get back at you after your last attack. 

But, you’d be damned if you backed down now or let him know he had the upper hand. 

Leaving the room now was out of the question — that was a coward’s move. So you decided to drop the weights in your hand, heading over to the rack to reach for much, much heavier ones that you had yet to try instead. It would be much less easy for your mind to wander if you had to focus everything into trying to lift these instead.

A genius plan, you had thought to yourself, until you tried lifting them off the rack and nearly lost your balance, body lurching forward and being dragged down by the weights that were clearly too much for you. 

You had expected to go tumbling into the rack and make a mess of the equipment and of yourself, while Zoro watched with mocking laughter. 

But the situation you found yourself in next was far, far worse than that.

What did happen was: you remained standing where you were, the heavy weights in your hands — not because you were magically able to summon the strength to hold them in that split second, but because someone else was now holding it for you. 

You felt an imposing presence mere inches behind you, the heat from his body telling you exactly how close your bodies were in that moment. Zoro, however, had been careful enough to make sure he wasn’t touching you, not even his hands that were holding the edges of the weights that were still in your grip. 

“Oi.” His gruff voice sounded right above the shell of your ear, his hot breath sending delightful shivers running down your spine. “That could have been dangerous.”

It took a moment for you to come up with a coherent response. 

“For you, or for me?” you asked, fighting the urge to lean backwards into his rock solid chest and rub your ass against his crotch—

Yeah, this was definitely dangerous for you.

“You’re asking that when you nearly got a concussion over a bunch of light weights? Or maybe that was a little trap you’d planned too.” His chuckle was low and dangerous, and his next words came out in a deep drawl that tickled your ear and made you go weak at the knees.

“If you wanted me to touch you, all you needed to do was ask.” 

It was too much. Zoro was playing all his cards right and pushing all the right buttons. You were barely holding on to the shred of rationality that was left in your head, your lust and urges starting to take control. All you needed to do was turn around, and you’d be kissing the shit out of him, melting against his body and letting go of everything that you had been holding back for what seemed like an eternity now. 

It would be too easy to give in. 

But, the more sensible, prideful part of you knew better: you couldn’t let him win. Knowing the man, he would never let you live it down, and would taunt you for the rest of your days with this victory. That, and you’d have spent ten million berries for nothing. 

“You’ll just have to make me want to ask,” was your retort, filled with all the fake confidence that you could muster. 

There was a beat of silence. Then you felt a tug on the weights in your hands. You promptly released them, allowing Zoro to step away and return the weights to where they belonged on the rack. 

Your back suddenly felt cold and empty, now that he was gone. Never mind that, you’d better get out of this room before you made any more blunders. 

Just before you could leave though, Zoro spoke again.

“You were practically begging through your eyes,” he said, and you could hear that infuriating smirk playing on his lips. 

“Next time, you’ll be begging with your mouth.”

That was the moment you knew: winner or not, this was going to end so poorly for you.

A week and a half on, you were nearing the end of your rope. Zoro didn’t show any signs that he would be giving up anytime soon, and neither were you. You had expected as much, both being just about as stubborn as the other. 

Still, you desperately needed some relief and escape from the filthy thoughts haunting you day and night. Zoro’s taunts were starting to get to you and now you found your mind constantly wandering towards him and to all the things he could do to you, if you’d just give in and give up on this game. If this score wasn’t settled soon, you may well be the one to throw in the towel first, ego be damned. You couldn’t even fall asleep now, your mind too active to allow you to rest. 

After hours of tossing and turning in bed, you found yourself having to choose between two options. 

The first: sneak into the men’s quarters and get down to business with Zoro. 

The second: take a cold shower.

Thankfully, the rational part in you won over and decided on the latter.

But when you arrived at the bath, it looked like someone else had decided on the exact same thing. 

You heard footsteps just as you arrived at the door, and spun around only to find yourself standing face to face with the very cause of your insomnia. 

Zoro looked just as surprised as you, and the both of you opened your mouths at the same time.

“What are you doing–”

“Why are you awa—”

Your voices cut off, and an awkward silence creeped in as you studied each other, as if scrutinising an opponent in battle. 

Well, from the looks of it at least, Zoro didn’t seem like he had planned this. Not to mention, it was 4am in the morning; he was the last person who would hatch some kind of scheme while half-asleep. 

“It’s 4am,” you said, breaking the silence. “I thought you were all asleep.”

“I could say the same about you,” he replied evenly, folding his arms across his chest. That big, broad, muscular chest—

“I wanted to relax in the bath. Thought I’d be able to take my time while everyone was asleep.”

He cocked a brow at that, unconvinced. “You do this often?”

“Sometimes,” you lied, before quickly turning the tables on him. “What about you? What are you doing here?”

“Same reason as you.” 

“What, you take baths at 4am in the morning?”

“…Sometimes.”

Riiiiiiight. This was going nowhere. It was obvious enough that he was here for probably the same reason as you but you were far too tired to try to pull anything funny; all you wanted was to take a cold shower and try to get some sleep. 

“Okay well, I was here first, so you can come back after I’m done.” You opened the door to the bath barely wide enough for you to fit in, and you were about to enter when you felt him sidle up next to you, pushing the door open wider so the both of you could fit through the doorway.

You turned around, about to protest until you saw the cunning smile on his face.

Your heart dropped. No. No no no no. That look could only mean one thing. 

“The bath is big enough for the both of us,” he said breezily, before gesturing for you to enter. 

“Ladies first.”

Damn his stupid ego and competitiveness. Fine, if he really wanted to play with fire, who were you to deny him? 

A few minutes later, you were submerged in a hot bath, instead of the quick cold shower you had come here for. Both of you were seated at opposite ends of the bath, and the steam in the room made it hard to see your naked bodies beneath the surface of the hot bathwater. 

How long was he planning to stay here for, anyway? You didn’t really know where you could go from here, seeing as Zoro hadn’t appeared to be affected one bit by your little strip show earlier. He didn’t even bat an eyelid as you deliberately shook your hips while slipping off your panties, or look annoyed like he usually would when you kicked them his way. All he did in response was remove his shorts, giving you a nice view of what you had missed out on for the past week, before heading straight for the bath.

No thanks to that entirely un-sexy show of his, your mind was starting to fog up with various mental images again, and it didn’t help that he was right in front of you, a feast ready for you to dig into. 

This man would be the death of you, without a doubt.

“What are you thinking about?” he asked then, jerking you out of your thoughts. It was as if he knew where your head was at just seconds ago. 

“How annoying it is that you’re here,” you snapped right back at him. It was true; you had wanted the bath all to yourself and being both pent up and sleepy made for one very grumpy and impatient you. If Zoro’s plan was to get a rise out of you, boy was he going to get one if he intended on egging you on even further.

But, it seemed even Zoro could tell when he should stop. Instead of another teasing, mocking response you’d expected, his question sounded more genuine.

“Why? Because of the bet?” 

A pause. You mulled over your response for a second, before letting out a small sigh.

“Yeah,” you admitted reluctantly. “I didn’t think you’d last this long.”

You heard him chuckle, that deep, bass voice echoing gently off the walls. “Hey, this was your idea. Don’t go blaming me now.”

It was a fair point, but you didn’t like being wrong. You ignored that remark, turning away and lowering yourself just enough so your mouth was submerged under the warm water.

You heard the water slosh then, the ripples of water tickling your body. Looking up, you realised Zoro was making his way towards you, and he stopped right in front of you, peering at your face and studying it. 

“You’re upset.” It wasn’t a question.

“No, I’m not,” you stubbornly denied. “I’m just grumpy because I’m sleepy.” 

“Sure you are.” He was probably thinking about what a brat you were – not that you would deny it. 

There was a moment of silence, before he spoke again.

“How about a truce?” 

Your eyes darted towards the man, widening in surprise. 

“What?” 

“The bet’s not worth making you this upset,” he explained. “Let’s call it off and think of another way to decide who gets the booze.”

“In that case, how about you just give me all the booze?”

Zoro’s eye turned hard as he glowered at you in disapproval. You couldn’t suppress the impish grin forming on your lips. 

“Nice try, but no,” he replied flatly. 

Yeah, you didn’t think it’d be that easy either. It was worth the shot though.

“So, what? We call a truce, and then?”

“Then we think of something else. Weren’t you listening?”

“I was,” you replied, rolling your eyes and focusing on creating tiny ripples in the water with your index finger. 

“I was just wondering if this was, maybe, your way of saying that you’re tired of the games and you want to just fuck me now.” 

There was a pause, then a gruff, “And if it is?” 

Caught off guard by his unexpected honesty, you found your head jerking in the man’s direction where you found him staring at you almost expectantly. One look was all you needed to know that he meant it, that if you agreed to the truce right then and there he would drop everything and take you without a second’s hesitation. 

“And what if I say no? If you’re this close to giving up I might as well get the booze while I’m at it.” 

“I’m not the one pouting because of this bet,” he responded with an eye roll. “If it comes down to it, I can wait this out better than you can.” There was no trace of a bluff in that voice. Zoro absolutely could, because once he set his mind on something, he would stick to it and no mountain could move him. 

You, on the other hand, weren’t nearly as resolved as he was, and he knew that too. 

“If we do a truce,” you said, choosing your words very carefully, “what’s the alternative? There’s no way we’re having a duel.”  

Zoro pondered over it for a minute or two, before a devilish grin formed on his face — one that made him look like a downright villain. 

“How about this? First one to cum loses.” 

Your eyes must have lit up then, making no effort to hide the fact that you had finally taken his bait. Still, you pretended to mull over it for a moment, letting him stew as he waited for your answer. 

It didn’t take long, as you were unable to resist the urge to look at him, your eyes tracing over the curves of his face, the lines of his hard muscle, and everything else that lay hidden beneath the steamy hot water. 

You were grinning before you even realised it, and you tipped your head down in a subtle nod, eyes never leaving his. 

“You’re on.” 

The sound of water splashing filled your ears, and then you felt arms encircle your waist, lifting you up as if you weighed nothing more than a feather. 

Your lips parted in a sharp gasp, and a split second later his lips came crashing down on yours, kissing you fiercely and passionately, just like you had wanted for so long now.

This is just me being overwhelmingly annoying, but Star Wars is literally my main fandom and I am neck deep in Mando lore (both canon and legends....... I need help).

Okay. What if the big fours of the Kid Pirates were Mandalorians in some way (in Disney canon all shown Mandos are humans but I love Legends canon more, so I'll go with this version.) So, considering Killer never removes his helmet, he is definitely a Child of the Watch. And since him and Kid go way back I imagine so was Kid, although after they left the Creed, he broke the code. Killer never did. (Kid with a beskar arm save me, KID WITH A BESKAR ARM SAVE ME. He definitely has a flamethrower installed in it. Mandalorians love flamethrowers.) They are both foundlings. Zabrak Heat who might be a descendant of some of Maul's supporters during the Clone Wars (the Armourer has little horns on her helmet, so we know Mando helmets could be adapted for a horned creature). Maybe Mirialan or Chiss Wire, once again a foundling, with a trident made of pure beskar that pierces through practically everything. Maybe Victoria was also part of the Children. Maybe her life was taken by a Death Watch member which lead for the four to break their ties with the Creed.

Or maybe, they had a Force bound lead.

And since the Mandalorians' worst allies are the Jedi....

Former Jedi Law, Bepo, Penguin and Shachi. Jedi Researcher Law who battles the call of the Dark Side as his thirst for revenge against certain Warlord rises with every passing day (now I'm thinking about Zygerrian Celestial Dragons -> Zygerrian Cora and Doffy......), who uses his missions for looking for information to fill the gaps of knowledge in the Jedi Archives to gather intel about Doflamingo. Jedi Sentinels Shachi and Penguin who use their missions among the common people to do the same and are first-eye witnesses to the corruption of the Galactic Government. Jedi Temple Guard Bepo who not only keeps the Temple safe but also has certain access to the Senate building and uses it to help Law. In the end, when Law leaves the Jedi Order, they follow him (and slowly gather the Heart Pirates).

And of course, they definitely cross paths with a certain mischievous Force wielder, the Light Side itself reborn in a human form, brighter than the Twin Suns of Tatooine, kinder than a smile.

Chapter 15: Neap Tide

The next few days went by rather smoothly. Everyone boarded Bartolomeo's ship. You were entertained by all the captains trying to ally with Luffy and become members of some grand fleet for him. He wasn’t interested but they were insistent. The whole scene was hilarious. You teased him about it later, causing him to pout and whine more than once.

Though, being around the fan club crew was a lot for you. They were loud and obnoxious. You didn’t hate them per se, but with what happened the past few days, you were overwhelmed and exhausted. You tended to stay on the parts of the ship that held the least amount of people - mostly just to find yourself some solitude so you could properly rest up and heal. You still hadn’t exactly given yourself time to do that since Punk Hazard. You had been pushing yourself as well.

Luffy would try to escape from Barolomeo’s constant attention. He’d come find you and hang out with you for a little bit, but the green haired man always found him. He almost never had a moment of peace. It was entertaining to watch. Someone matching Luffy’s own hyper personality was truly a feat to behold. Luckily, Luffy would be able to see when it became too much for you and head off, going to find Zoro to bother instead.

Someone who also always found you was Law. Bartolomeo seemed to not like him very much, so he stuck with you. He also became easily annoyed by the loud and boisterous crew. You didn’t mind his presence. You both could sit in a comfortable silence. Neither of you really spoke of the past again, plenty of things having been said on Dressrosa. Now, you just enjoyed the company of the other. 

Though, something did seem slightly off with Law since Dressrosa. You couldn’t quite put your finger on it. Something was weighing heavily on his mind and every time you tried to bring it up, he changed the subject or excused himself. It was absolutely frustrating and you eventually gave up on it. He wasn’t one to talk about his feelings or things that were bothering him, but you figured he’d eventually come to you if he wanted to say something.

You doubted he’d ever do that, unfortunately.

A few days later, you were on the deck for once. You needed some fresh air. Everything was nice and calm - as calm as it could be on a ship with a fan club. The air was warm - the breeze was light and cool. It made you think of your more serene days on your home island. Simpler and happier times.

“What is that?!” You hear Luffy shout from the figurehead. You look up, seeing something in the distance. You squinted, looking at it. Then your eyes widened. “Is that a fucking elephant?” you said in disbelief. Law, seemingly coming out of nowhere, spoke from next to you. “That is a fucking elephant.” He seemed almost amused. At your reaction or the elephant, you weren’t sure. You were too in awe at the huge fucking mammal that was in the distance.

The remaining Straw Hats, Law, and you all gather to come up with the plan. “So, how the fuck are we supposed to get up the elephant?” Your head was still reeling from the fact that Zou was an elephant. That this mammal was your destination - an island. A traveling one. The whole thing was asinine, but also intriguing. 

You were all at the bottom of the elephant's legs now, next to the Thousand Sunny. Kanjuro ended up drawing a dragon? At least that’s what you think it was. A very, very crudely drawn dragon. Turns out he could turn that drawing to life for a bit. The plan was to have it carry you all the way to the top. You almost didn’t want to do it. Didn’t want to put it through the pain of carrying so many people.

You didn’t exactly have a choice in the matter, however. You could call upon the ocean to make a giant funnel and shoot you all up, but that was more for emergencies and she didn’t exactly like devil fruit users, so this was the best bet. 

It was…truly a task. It took damn near all day just to reach the top and you even ended up losing Kanjuro and Kin’emon. It was a shitshow - to put it simply. Once at the time, you immediately noticed something was off. Everything seemed…destroyed? It was more like the ruins of an island than an active island. “Are we sure this is the right place?” you muttered, more or less, to yourself. 

Law, once again, appeared next to you. “This is the place. I’m sure of it.” You clicked your tongue, nodding. “Okay…”

Then you hear Luffy yell something and absolutely bolted. Your eyes widened. “Luffy!” You darted off after him. You heard the others call your name and claim you shouldn’t bother, but honestly, you felt the same thrill that Luffy did right now. It had been a while since you had been able to go for a nice run and might as well be after Luffy. Since you were finally recovered for the most part, keeping up with him was easy. 

“Luffy! Slow down! We should wait for the others!” As carefree as you were feeling right now, the unease of someone watching was creeping in. “We should be careful!”

Just as you said that, a couple of animals seemed to come out of the treelines and went for Luffy. You leaped into action, running at one of them at full speed and kicking him away from the other. He could handle one while you handled the other - easy. 

The gorilla locked in on you now, not having noticed you before. After all, Luffy was a lot louder than you had been. You pulled a staff from your necklace. Something was telling you to not injure them if you could. That this was a misunderstanding. You braced yourself for impact as the gorilla charged you - Luffy dealing with the ox? You weren’t sure what they were as you were currently distracted with your own fight. 

Suddenly, you heard yelling - shouting it was a misunderstanding and that you were friends of theirs. Your name was called, but it wasn’t Luffy. You looked over, seeing a very familiar trio. One that you hadn’t seen in a long time and you felt excitement to see them again. Only, it didn’t last long as the gorilla came at you again. You countered his attack with your staff, mostly swatting away his hands as he tried to grab at you. 

Then, you heard new voices and bananas? Either way, the gorilla was now distracted, leaving you alone as he had a delicious treat. You were panting heavily, looking back. You noticed two more minks come from the treeline. A bunny and a dog? “Y/N!” You turned around just in time to be tackled by the trio. You yelped in surprise, but couldn’t help but smile. “It’s good to see you guys too.”

Shachi gasped. “I don’t think I’ve ever seen you smile.” Penguin put a hand to your forehead. “Are you okay, y/n? You’re usually much more grumpy.” You blinked, looking at the both of them and you felt your face warm up. “Well, I usually happen to see you guys after I’m badly injured, so that’s probably why.” Your mind drifted back to what Sabo had said. Were you really that different? You didn’t notice��

“That’s true! This is the best shape we’ve seen you in!” Bepo chimed. You snorted, shaking your head. “Oh,” Shachi began. “We saw the alliance and if Strawhat is here does that mean the captain is too?” 

“Yeah, Traffy is with us,” Luffy piped up from where he was sitting.

“Traffy? Who is that? Our captain is Trafalgar Law!” You laughed at their inability to read context clues. “Traffy is Law. Yes, he’s here with us,” you confirmed, clearing the confusion.

“Youtia should come with us so we can take you to your friends!” You blinked as the rabbit suddenly spoke. Bepo spoke up. “Will you tell the captain that we’re here? I can’t leave the forest.”

You looked to Luffy. “You go ahead, I’m going to stay back with them.” Bepo was still stuck to you like glue. It seemed he really missed you. You weren’t going to lie - you missed them too. You had some catching up to do. 

Luffy looked at you then to the three around you before he nodded. “Okay! I’ll see you later!” Then he left with the minks. You turned your attention to the trio with you as they all began to talk animatedly at you at the same time. “Alright, alright. One at a time.”

At that moment, the rest of the crew came out of the treeline and you blinked. “Well, I be damned. I didn’t even notice y’all in the trees.” There had also been quite a bit of commotion anyway. You delved into conversation with the pirates, catching them up on the events of Dressrosa. They had read what the papers said but that was about it. The papers left out quite a bit, after all.

Once you caught them up, you excused yourself. You needed a moment to breathe. All the excitement had given you a headache and you needed a small walk. Bepo instructed you not to go too far in fear of another mix up. You promised you’d stay close.

You reached a clearing and sat down on a log with a small sigh. Phew, it was a lot. Crack. Knife in hand, readied yourself in a fighting stance. “Stand down, it’s just me.” You blinked as Law came into view. “You really shouldn’t sneak up on me like that. I tend to throw first - ask questions later.”

He smirked at you, looking you up and down. “As if you could hit me.” You stepped closer to him, sizing him up. You were only mere inches from one another. “Is that a challenge, Trafalgar Law?” you mused, mirroring his smirk. He shrugged, his smug grin not going away.

“CAPTAIN!” “BOSS!” You both jumped away from each other, looking to where the crew was running out of the trees and hugging their captain. You snorted, watching the scene unfold before you as they all dogpiled him. You watched with a fondness in your eyes and a warmness in your heart. 

Maybe Sabo was right. You were changing. You used to hate being around people for any amount of time. Hated being touched. Now, you were finding yourself enjoying it. The small hand holds when Nami or Usopp told you gossip, Luffy’s bear hugs when he saw you or was feeling particularly clingy, Chopper curling up in your lap when he’s tired, all kinds of little touches and gestures you once hated, you were growing to love. They made you feel grounded, reminding you that you were here. You were alive. You had such survivor’s guilt for so long and you were finally moving past that. You knew your father would’ve wanted you to live life to its fullest.

You also thought about Sabo mentioning it being because of someone. You weren’t exactly sure on that one. Maybe it was just a collective. The love and affection from everyone was morphing you into being a less grumpy version of yourself. Your thoughts started drifting to a certain doctor when your thoughts were interrupted.

“Come on, y/n! Get in here!” You blinked as Penguin pulled you into the giant dogpile. You yelped, soon finding yourself laughing as everyone hugged and loved on each other. It was different, but it felt nice.

One Piece Chapter 1126 - Initial Thoughts

Okay, this time it feels like Elbaf is beginning

We had one last caveat involving the WG and the news fallout which we will probably get a bit more of here, but Elbaf feels like it's about to enter its full and gigantic swing.

So then, let's not waste time on it shall we?

Yamato's latest side quest is apparently missing soba stand women

We start the chapter with the giants, explaining to Luffy while eating how they all met up

Oimo and Kashii went to Little Garden themselves, finding Dorry and Brogy fighting hand to hand because their weapons broke

They convinced them to leave the island, so they can return to Elbaf to get new weapons

Nami shows exasperation that they still intend to resume their century-old battle to the death, but Usopp quickly defends them

Unusual for Sanji to be complimenting booze, thought it was Zoro before I saw where the speech bubble went

The booze called Absinthe is strong but can cause hallucinations, so basically normal absinthe

The party rages on and Bonney has a moment to just sit with Kuma and be happy they achieved their goal

Oh we're going back to the Barto stuff!

After burning his flag, Shanks rolled up and beat Barto, reprimanding him for the risk he put his territory under

Barto apologizes, but it seems an example must be made

They offer Barto a poison, a deadly and painful poison to give to Luffy within the month, to be used as penance

Barto though is not that kinda guy, and simply takes the poison in his teeth and downs it

He refuses to involve Luffy in his mistakes, even if it was in the name of his grand fleet

Despite a dramatic goodbye to his comrades, it's of course a fake poison and Barto simply burps and hightails it out of there

Probably shouldn't have called Shanks soft though in hindsight

Before that though Papa Beck notes Shanks is grinning, which Shanks admits, appreciating Barto's loyalty to Luffy

Yasopp however has no such appreciation, a lesson had to be taught, and he shoots Barto's Going Luffy Senpai down with his rifle

I mean if Mihawk can slice ships of course Yasopp can destroy them with a shot but still, between losing the Polar Tang and Victoria Punk we need to stop destroying the boats

'It is unknown if there were survivors' - Oda c'mon man you can't kill Barto

Back at Fullalead and Pizarro is getting an earful from Blackbeard about the whole Koby escape thing

Tbf it was bad timing, seems Teach had a big plan that involved leveraging Koby, probably to keep the WG and Navy off his back while he tried to tackle the other Yonko for their Poneglyphs

Sanjuan Wolf is meanwhile trying to put Fullalead's buildings back, but his large size means he knocks over another every time he puts one back

Confirmation that Moria also escaped, meaning that Perona likely sneaked out undetected with him

Teach's small army of no-name pirates remain rallied though, he does have an army that could rival even the Cross Guild

Teach's annoyance is quelled when Aokiji notes that they captured Garp

He's alive, but Aokiji did note he was going for a killshot, old man is built different though

Teach also has Pudding on his side

Like dude, she's 16 hands to yourself

They call Lafitte who is strangely in a Navy shipping HQ

He is asked about the Revolutionaries, who confirms that their assault on the Red Port and sabotage of the bondolas is working to potentially starve the Celestial Dragons, since no food can be delivered to them

Seems like Lafitte has his own part to play though as he's told to get ready

Devon and Augur also return, demanding Pizarro pick up the ship

Caribou freaks out, like dude you've been to Wano and Egghead you've seen crazier shit than this

2 Days have passed since leaving Egghead, but something is amiss among the Straw Hats and Giants

Also the Giants' longboat is called the Great Eirik

But the Sunny is missing!

Robin wonders if it was eaten by a giant fish, which upsets Franky because that could actually be a possibility with the giant fish around them

Also kid Bonney clinging to Jinbe

Seems Luffy disappeared with the ship too

But it's Nami who is woken up, in new and naturally buxom clothing

But as she wakes she sees an unfamiliar setting

Did we just drop Nami in Legoland or something??

Well, it's not a New World arc without the crew getting split up I suppose.

Technically speaking Elbaf did start this chapter, but the primary focus seemed to be on other Yonko at the moment. It does make continuity sense for Shanks to beat Barto but sinking him did feel saddening because Barto was willing to take on all responsibility for himself by drinking the fake poison.

Blackbeard's stuff shows that he is scheming a lot, and falling upwards since losing Koby still gained him the still-alive Garp (people who thought he died did you forget what One Piece is? Garp has more to provide to the story). With Caribou coming to port too I doubt we've seen the last case of Yonko on Yonko aggression either.

But yeah, legos. Nami's outfit is kinda like her Onigashima outfit - though more furs than bondage - which is a bit disappointing, but she has a sword now! Explanation for the block house she's in are varied and wild, it's likely a devil fruit of some kind - whoever woke Nami up may be trying to entice her so it could be Prince Loki for all we know, but we also can't rule out the Absinthe either since they made a point of noting that it causes hallucinations. So far it seems all the East Blue squad and Chopper are unaccounted for, with Brook, Franky, Robin and Jinbe still here along with Bonney and Lilith, but it's still early days, we can only confirm that Luffy and Nami are classed as missing alongside the Sunny.

We will have to wait and see with this, but we are definitely starting Elbaf with curiosity.

Who I am looking for: Anyone who might remember this timeline, but especially my crew members!

(I already know my Sabo.)

What I remember: My appearance was that of a 5'4-5'5 muscular woman, with long brown hair in a braid. I had gold eyes with slit pupils and lots of freckles on my cheeks and shoulders, as well as fangs. I had brown feathers on the tips of my ears, brown feathered wings, and a skinny brown feathered tail shaped kind of like a cat's. I also had claws on my hands and feet.

I was a noncanon member of the Strawhat crew. My full name was Yamuarmei, but everyone just called me Yamei. I was a dragon-person, known as a Light Dragon. I came in immediately following Arabasta. My dream was to find justice for the attempted genocide of my people, committed on us by our brother species, the Dark Dragons. In my timeline, Blackbeard never got the Dark-Dark fruit, and by the domino affect, the Paramount War never happened and Ace didn't die. However, Luffy still fought the admirals, but he didn't receive his stomach scar. The timeskip still happened, but it was our own choosing to do so. Zoro and I had fallen in love during our voyage and we got married right before we split for the timeskip. Since Ace didn't die, Sabo didn't receive the Mera-Mera no mi, but instead got a glass related fruit from the Colosseum. The rest of the canon timeline and most things not mentioned were pretty much the same. Eventually, Zoro and I had a daughter as well, named Emei, who joined the revolutionary army. She had short blonde hair with light brown wings, sharp teeth, and blue eyes.

Jujutsu Kaisen

Satoru Gojo

Who I am looking for: Suguru, Shoko, Megumi, or anyone else!

What I remember: I didn't mercy-kill Suguru and instead just held him until he died peacefully. We spent the last few minutes of his life just sitting and reminiscing on our younger years, before kissing one last time. My Suguru's eyes were brown, not purple. I also think he might not have been entirely cis- maybe bigender or genderfluid? Shoko and I were briefly sleeping together after Suguru passed, I think we just needed the shared intimacy from someone else who understood what we were going through. I think I might have had legal custody of Megumi and Tsumiki but I'm still not entirely sure on that. I also remember my Utahime was a trans woman. I myself was cis and bi.

Uraume

Who I am looking for: Sukuna <333

What I remember: Sukuna-sama and I were very physically affectionate. What we had can't be called "romantic" in the traditional sense- however, he very much appreciated my devotion for him and he adored me in his own way. I sat in his lap a lot, especially since my CT made me feel cold sometimes. I really loved to pepper his cheeks and face in little kisses. He and I had something very unique and special and I miss him dearly. I myself was about 5'3, afab in both eras, and a bit skinnier than average.

Who I am looking for: Anyone who might remember me, but especially Inumaki or Yuuji!

What I remember: I have two timelines, being nonbinary and intersex in both. My first TL follows canon as far as I remember. My second TL is divergent- I survived the encounter with Mahito and joined Jujutsu High. I also dated Inumaki in my second TL. I believe I may have had a stutter but I'm not sure.

What I remember: Our magic world was permanent and nothing was ever lost. This was because we were in a separate verse entirely, so we didn't exist in Simon's mind. Essentially, it was like the main AT series but with the swapped characters instead. I had the original voice from the first 2 Fionna and Cake episodes in Adventure Time. My name was Benny, short for Bennett. Marshall and I were together, obviously (after a long period of bitterness post-initial breakup, like in the standard TL). Lord Monochromicorn also spoke Japanese alongside his Morse communication- he was semi-verbal and used Morse when he couldn't/didn't want to speak.

What I remember: All of my current memories are canon compliant. I know that I was definitely not cis in some way or another- whether I was afab or something outside of male/female I'm not sure, but I know I used he/him. Kni was non-binary but still used he/him as well, simply because I did and he wanted to be the same.

After not being able to being there for him after Ace's death, it's like the whole crew 1) took a mental note he's still human, no matter how strong and crazy he is, and 2) because of that, they became more protective of him, wanting to do anything for him NOW since they couldn't be there for him THEN.

(This is about this post saying everyone became less normal about Luffy post-time skip, for those who just got here.)

I mean, yes, but it shows in so many other ways! I just got to the Dressrosa arc, and so far

Zoro is a lot more playful with him - joining him in fishing sea beasts, ignoring Nami to joke about salinity, the whole fight with the dragon (calling Luffy to tell him that the dragon had spoken, laughing as they freefell).

Both Sanji and Usopp looking at enemies in disgust and going "you're/he's the kind of man my captain hates the most" like that's the worst insult possible, but also like "you're so dead, buddy lol".

Usopp's whole speech in Punk Hazard.

Chopper saying he'll be a monster for Luffy's sake (Zoro's smirk at that, too). Also hounding him about his injuries in Fish-man Island while he's trying to recruit Jimbei.

Brook. All of Brook, he's so ride or die. "Straw Hat Luffy, dead? That's ridiculous!" This guy, who's originally from a crew of musician pirates whose goal was to make children smile, reacting to Momonosuke's request for a song with "I only take orders from Luffy".

Some more Spider!Luffy au! This time with actual vigilante Sabo, he's a little fucked up. (It's a lot, a lot fucked up.)

I am plagued with the indecision on if Luffy is just the only spider in his dimension then some dimension shenanigans happen and he meets other spiders like him and forms the Straw Hat Society purely on accident (he literally just started a friendship across dimensions, what a guy), or if his friends are in his universe and are an assortment of normal humans/vigilantes beside him... I can't pick both work so well. Look me in the eyes and tell me Zoro would not instantly tell Luffy is the new vigilante despite the hair being different.

Miguel wouldn't like Luffy just cause, and I'm right. (Maybe it could be something along the lines of ATSV but with Ace, who knows.) Now onto Sabo! He's a law college student and functions of 2 hours of sleep everyday and scares the living shit out of everyone, Koala is convinced he's on the verge of insanity (he is.) He started hanging around Dragon after a mysterious fire accident (I haven't decided what yet bare with me) gave him amnesia and Dragon couldn't just leave him and took him to his law firm and accidentally adopted him. Dragon's got a batman/batfamily kinda thing going on with him where he keeps adopting weird kids while fighting crime and they eventually follow in his footsteps, hence why Sabo is now Firefly while also trying to be a lawyer.

He did not pick Firefly as his name whatsoever but people saw his headphone/comms antennas they started calling him that as a joke since they already have a Spider-Man and then it stuck and Sabo hates it.

I'm still workshopping his costume but I needed to post after getting released it was important

He's not fond of Sun-Weaver at all at first because he's trying to do his own thing alone with his team (Koala is so a 'guy in the chair') and now this vigilante wont leave him alone and keeps insisting they become friends and he eventually gets worn down like every other poor soul who thinks they can deny Monkey D Luffy something. Oh when he gets his memories back, ohhh...

Dressrosa Thoughts

Man finished Dressrosa in two weeks,and to think all of that happens in ONE DAY in the op universe and not getting to see my beloved perfect angel sanji for so long you BET i was crying throwing up every single episode

So the important things I've noted from this arc :

The D name : OMFG so the D in Law's name and how corazon says that the name D has been passed down ceaselessly, INHERITED through generations and Family of D are called the "sworn enemies of gods". Also these gods can be considered the celestial dragons, so the purpose of the D family people may be destruction of the world. D's contain ideas that is opposed to the gods. And also what doffy says at the end of Dressrosa how the celestial dragons will fall and how the D name's legacy is hidden in the history gap like omg shit's getting SERIOUS serious yall

Strawhat Fleet : with 7 Captain and 5600 people captain Cavendish of the Beautiful Pirates, Bartolomeo of Barto Club, Hajrudin of giant pirates, Leo of Tonta Corps, Don Sai of the Happosui army, Orlumbus of the Yontamaria fleet, and Ideo. General Dressrosa Thoughts :

The Tontattas : The tontattas are so cute innocent naive and kind people. It made me think how back in history took advantage of the innocence of native people to exploit or in slave them like the doffy did with the tontattas at the factory.

Villains : The donquixote family executives were disappointing in the fights considering that everything in dressrosa happened in one day, like even the villains of baroque works put up a better resistance. I Loved sugar though she is cute as hell and her ability was unique and very scary if you think about it. Shed a little tear or two at Señor pink's backstory ngl. Doflamingo has turned into my special little princess btw

Law and cora-san : Corazon is so silly and funny I'd love to see more of him, alas he's dead. Also his name Rosinante is very cunt idk

among the strawhats, Ofc my special angel sanji shined as usual, even if he wasnt present for most of the arc. Zoro was perfect but it'd be better if they showed zoro vs pica in a continuous sequence and not cutting the fights 200 times. Usopp also was great this arc and him knocking out sugar was funny as hell the second time too

Favourite character: I love Baby 5, manshery, Viola, Sugar, Corazon, Bartolomeo, Cavendish, Tontattas, Doflamingo, Kanjuro (his hair is cunt)

Things i hated :

Rebecca and her dad are annoying

The pacing of course. Plus none of the fights were maintained in a continuous pace. Cutting off everything one after another fuckin shit
