it's really funny seeing everyone salty posts about the hidden agenda finale and i actually agree with everyone but the thing is!!!! i'm just vibing!!!!

i went into this show with absolutely ZERO expectations (and in fact, i would have been extremely surprised if this show ended up being actually good dkfjkfddf), i've never given a single shit about the plot and/or the writing bc i came here for the joongdunk vibes and the joongdunk vibes alone and i had a blast watching this series

like, i'm not even gonna bother criticising this drama bc from the beginning i didn't expect it to be very impressive anyway and so i'll just keep sitting here in my pile of garbage and vibing with it <3333

a bit obsessed with the idea of kusakabe dying as a form of sacrifice to specifically protect/save somebody else. it's consistent enough with the theme of the past generation achieving no meaningful feats against significant threats but it's also ironic enough that someone without a technique and who claims their philosophy is primarily self-sacrificial - although he tends to stay from his own ideals in critical moments, proving he's not only brave when necessary but he does have a sense of responsabilty and guilt - ultimately redeems themselves through death resulting in the achievement of something his colleagues have failed to do. not that i'm wishing for him to die, i hope he doesn't. but it would also make a clear-cut distinction between him and a character like mei mei, who narratively serves a very similar purpose (besides her being a foil to nanami). to have someone be awarded by their selfishness just for it to not be worth much within a world and system that runs and sustains itself due to the sorcerer's labour power, whose only means of subsistence is to sell themselves away. a class of people who is doomed no matter what path they choose to take, as long as they do not break free from their duties and as long as the system doesn't collapse. a death that could serve as a symbol of punishment towards solidarity and altruism but a win for revolution.

Current Favorite Color: what's funny is that purple and teal are my favorite combination, so I'd have to say both at once? I'm also a fan of blue and orange, but only together. Last Song: Not counting me trying to search through spotify to find one specific tune in this k-drama, it was Labour by Paris Paloma, which goes hard while being so damn catchy, I cannot recommend it enough.

Currently Reading: Okay I'm trying to retrain my brain to read long things at a stretch again to mixed degrees of failure, but currently I'm rereading Saiyuki, which is a fantastic series that more people should definitely know about. I also just barely picked up and started to read Wuthering Heights today after a discussion with my roommate about how twisted Gothic romances are. So, here's hoping I can actually get through it without getting distracted fjkdsal;fd

Currently Watching: Scarlet Heart: Ryeo. Again. Mostly because one of my roommates had me watch it years ago and now we're getting the other roommate into it. I've never laughed so hard or wanted to cry so much. The characters are so good. The story is so good. The soundtrack is impeccable. Out of all the dramas I've ever seen, literally nothing tops this for writing, aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Currently Craving: Does sleep count There's actually this really good Bioshock-themed tea blend on Adagio that I've been craving a lot lately -- I wish my budget would let me make another tea splurge again jfkdlsjafl;d

Coffee or Tea: I think the above may help my case, but I'm dEFINITELY a tea kinda gill. Iced, hot, herbal, black, green.....I have a lot jfkdl;safd I could buy stock in Adagio at this point. It's not that I don't like coffee! I'm a sucker for a good latte, but I don't crave sweet drinks often, so I much prefer tea.

tumblr/twitter fandom polls are literally only interesting within fandoms or when the fandoms are of roughly equal size cause otherwise most of the submissions legit dont stand a chance of winning and everyone ignores them because they have no idea what they are, people are like 'xyz character I've never heard of probably doesn't even belong here', or people make insane moral judgements and assumptions based on what is essentially a popularity contest (like saying people are being bad queer ppl or uneducated consumers for not picking an obscure character or ship in an important historical work over a rly popular show with lots of fan and official content) and it stresses me out more than it becomes fun lately cause when im on twitter i see ppl having oddly widespread beef about these damn polls, and when im on tumblr ill see some post with a handful of rts in a tag of my favs where they TOTALLY are the rulers of their specific categories and nobody has any idea 😭😭😭😭😭😭
