Karrde, in a three-piece suit and carrying a lockpicking set: No, I asked if you wanted to do a con with me.
Ghent, in full Madoka Magica cosplay: You could have been a little more specific.

I came home feeling edgy and raw...
Chapter 5 of Lightsabers Are Always Loaded is up. The tribulations of the Smugglers Summit leads Mara to make a decision that might just change the course of her life - or might not. Destiny is fickle that way.

Raise your hand if you made it through the entirety of the original Thrawn Trilogy without realizing that Ghent has blue hair

Here’s a random Legends character I latched on to
Zakarisz Ghent
Doesn’t he look like he should be like an elf or something? Anyway he’s just a goofy little hacker boy, who literally never goes outside, never touches grass, has no idea what’s going on in the world. And I’m being serious, he legitimately forgot they were at war. Anyway, he’s just sweet and I love him and he’s also a Han fan boy, and you know what? me too bro. He worked as a hacker for a crime gang but later Leia gets him a job doing computer stuff for the imperial remanent (which is good now) he’s just very wholesome and ditzy and I love him
(When i read the Thrawn trilogy I always said his name as “Gent” but now I’m realizing that was probably wrong, but I pronounce a lot of legends things wrong and I can’t change it now)

#10, 14 and 29 for the Star Wars ask game?
Oooh, thanks for the ask!!
#10: Which character do you feel is most like you?
Hmmm, this is hard to answer. Probably Reath Silas, a Jedi Padawan from the High Republic book Into The Dark. He just wants to stay home, and study history. No adventures for him, no thank you. He's basically the Star Wars equivalent of Bilbo Baggins. He's so SWEET.
#14: If you could change one thing about the Star Wars universe, what would it be?
*sighs* it's a three-way tie. In-universe, I'd want Kanan Jarrus to not be dead. Externally, I'd want anyone to be able to write a canon Star Wars novel so you, @kanerallels , could write a book series about how the Ghost crew all met up. And somewhere in between? More Legends being brought back into canon. Specifically Talon Karrde, Shada D'ukal, Ghent, Aves, Tycho Celchu, Corran Horn, all of Wraith Squadron, and MOST of all, Mara Jade.
#29: Which character doesn't get enough credit or screentime?
You expect me to choose just one??? It's ME. Riyo Chuchi, I would LOVE to see more of. Fenn Rau, one hundred percent is the coolest and should be in The Mandalorian. Janus Kasmir, who could be an AWESOME cameo in LITERALLY ANYTHING DAVE I'M BEGGING YOU!!!!! PLEASSSSSSSSE. Oooooh, and Leox Gyasi, from Into The Dark. CRIMINALLY underrated. As is his navigator, Geode. Oh, and, again, all of Wraith Squadron, they are the best.
Thank you so much for the ask!!

Talon Karrde: Work fast.
Ghent: Yeah, first I have to wait for my computer to wake up.
Talon Karrde: Hurry.
Ghent: Okay, I'll wait faster.
Talon Karrde: Sarcasm.

Nice to know I could still have a solid nightmare
Mara might be trying to put her experiences with the academy and Jedi behind her, but they don't seem to want to stay there. Nightmares and tragic galactic events hint at worse to come.

Have some Mara & Ghent feels from Katana this week:
They were discussing a schedule for the next few days that balanced all the projects on Mara’s plate with the light-duty limitations Seven insisted upon when the door slid open. A blur of blue and day-glo orange darted inside and flung itself through the holodisplays cluttering the air, then skidded to a stop in front of Mara.
“Mara!”
Ghent nearly vibrated with the effort of holding himself back, his eyes huge and his hands twitching at his sides. Tension and latent terror rolled off of him and Mara’s throat closed with guilt and bone-deep fury. Wordlessly, she opened her arms and braced. Ghent threw himself against her, latching on like clingwire. Minion jolted awake.
“Dankin said they’d hurt you.”
