🐾 What is your favorite Star Wars creature and why?
@cozy-fish-crow also asked this one!!!
I feel like if you’ve followed my art for a while this should come as absolutely no surprise

BOGA!!! HER!!! HER!!!
This beautiful beautiful lizard bird creature, this whole arc of the movie, changed my brain chemistry forever. I was 11 years old. And when I got the Revenge of the Sith graphic novel at my scholastic book fair I POURED over the illustrations of her. There was even a little extended scene of the locals introducing her to Obi Wan that is BURNED into my brain.
I can hear her insane screaming in my head as I write this.

18, 19, and 20 for the Star Wars ask game, liebling~
I'm so sorry bbygirl, I did say I'm hopeless with my inbox and I'd probably take a while to get my shit back together. But here we go!!
18. Favourite/Least Villain
Favourite: Alright, Maul's always been firmly in this category. Little drama queen. He's got it so bad for Kenobi. He's fit. He's a survivor. He's been through such horrid abuse at the hands of Sidious. I just wanna give him a hug, pay for his therapy, and hopefully attend his marriage to Kenobi in a few years' time. But since getting into the Thrawn books, blue Chiss boy has shot right up there. I still have massive issues with how he was written in the Ahsoka series, but Timothy Zahn's canon novels are spectacular. To the point where I kinda don't want to put him in the 'villain' category. But considering my introduction to him was in Rebels, where he was such a brilliant opponent for Hera and the gang, he does need to stay here. (Fingers and toes crossed for a redemption arc, but I know I'm dreaming...) Least Favourite: Palpatine. Not that I feel like he's a 'poorly' made character. Complete opposite! I just think he's the devil incarnate and needs to die horrible, painful deaths over and over again.
19. Favourite/Least Favourite Outfit
I've already answered this one, but considering it's been over a month since I did, here, have the copy and paste 😂
Favourite: Live-action Ahsoka’s outfits. Yes, even that poncho that hides her gorgeous deltoids from view. It looks so damn cosy. I love that those outfits give those tiny, tantalising hints of skin whilst still being modest and practical. They’re minimalistic in a way a Fulcrum operative would be, but with some random personal touches that we don’t fully understand yet (Like those beads at her belt. Are they meant to be her old padawan braid? Or Sabine’s padawan braid? Are they just rhythm beads? It’s anyone’s guess at this stage!) But mostly, she just looks comfortable. And since owning both the Adidas wrestling shoes from her white outfit and the Tabi shoes from her dark one, I can attest that they are so damn comfortable whilst also feeling like I could run over any terrain or kick some bad guys’ butts. I’m totally here for it.
Also, Mother Aniseya’s outfit. There’s just so much damn detail to that garb. The fabric. The layers. I love it. Also looks like it would be a cosplayer’s nightmare.
Least favourite: This is probably going to get me cancelled, but I must speak my truth. Leia’s first outfit, the white robe. The “Help me, Obi-Wan Kenobi” one. It looks like a bedsheet. There. I said it. I don’t mind the whole idea of a plain white dress that covers her up, I just hate whatever fabric they used. How it hangs. Just screams worn-out bedsheet. And fuck trying to keep that thing clean.
Also, the padawan boob-tube. ‘Soka, babes. Just no. This isn’t Friday night discoteca. This is the military. Put your teenage midriff away and go find yourself something with pockets. You’ll need them.
20. Favourite/Least Favourite Creature
Favourite: DON'T MAKE ME CHOOSE!!! I love animals, so much. And that extends to all the creatures in the GFFA, in all their weird, wonderfully different quirks. But I'll narrow it down to three. Love the howlers from Peridea - big, dumb, friendly over-sized dogs that I can ride into battle. Perfection! But also the Lothcat/Tookas. And the Tauntauns of Hoth. Give me one of each, please.
Least Favourite: those fucking giant spiders from that ice planet in the Mandalorian. FUCK THAT!!!

10, 16 annnnnnd lets do 23! for the choose violence asks <3
10: worst part of fanon
Hmm... I think the worst part of fanon is the headcanon that Korkie Kryze is Obi-Wan's child. It infuriates me to no end. I really hate Satine, but I also think she just wouldn't keep a child made so illicitly. Whether that means having an abortion, which feels more unlikely, or sending the kid off to some other planet to be far away from her.
16: You can't understand why so many people like this thing
Tying into my previous answer, I can't understand why so many people like Obitine. Satine is the most frustrating character to me, from the way she treats her people to the way she treats those around her. I think her and Obi-Wan could never be more than what it was; a short-lived whirlwind romance. I much prefer ships like Codywan, because those are two people who feel like they could actually work in a way that is meaningful.
23: ship you've unwillingly come around to
For this, I would have to also say Codywan. At first, I was skeptical, because I didn't know much about Cody and I wasn't that immersed in the Clone side of the fandom yet. I didn't dislike it, per se, but I just wasn't warmed up to it. And then I saw all the beautiful fanart, and the fics, and the love people poured into these characters. People like my favorite Codywan artist (who I am too afraid to actually tag, but it's Journen) and also some of the really heartbreaking fics and edits that I saw, really made it something I grew to love.
I think there are so many good ships in Star Wars, including canon ones such as Anidala and Hanleia (is that the name for that one?) And ones that absolutely should have been canon, like Finnpoe/Stormpilot.
Thank you for the ask!!! This was so fun, I love nothing more than talking about Star Wars <3

a visual I’ve really been loving lately: the idea of waking up before Luke and just watching him sleep ❤️
Thank you for the ask, friend! My inbox is always open!
Ugh, YES. His hair is so floofy, I bet the bedhead is absolutely adorable.
I can't decide whether I think he snores or not. If he does, I think it's super quiet and you can only hear it if you're right next to him. I DO think he's a pretty sleeper though. Like just very serene face, mouth slightly open, and obviously is a huge snuggler. Like can't get close enough to you and if you roll away from each other in the middle of the night, if he even wakes up a quarter of the way enough to realize he's not holding you, he'll immediately remedy that.
Bonus: he loves when he's more awake and you snuggle into him half asleep. It makes him all

I have a hc i would like to share
Tech wears gloves alot because he has sensory issues and it protects his hands from any bad textures (once he lost his only pair and crosshair bought him a couple secretly)
ABSOLUTELY
i also think he doesnt really like skin to skin contact much either and avoids that as much as possible too.
crosshair buying him two more pairs and making sure they wont irritate his hands is so siheisheheenejjejdosjsjsjkskdksiendkbdkdksnslsjodndjdnldndksksbichcixnsks

2, 3 and 7 for the Star Wars asks?
2. What character did you begin to hate not because of canon but because how how the fandom acts about them?
I hate saying it, but Kylo Ren/Ben Solo. I loved him through the movies! I loved Adam Driver and I loved how he was brought back to the light side. But since then, thanks to certain (not all!) Reylos and their obsession with him and his being 'misunderstood,' (no, he was really, really bad) I just can't anymore. After having considered myself Reylo through the movies, I now have the tag blocked.
3. What’s the worst part of canon?
Inconsistency. It's everywhere, but being a Poe Dameron fan, I really hate how they changed everything with him. In Before the Awakening, the first Star Wars book I read after they de-canonized the AU (Legends), it was written that Poe joined the Resistance directly from the Republic, after watching his friend die and realizing the First Order was essentially being ignored by his superiors. Then in the 3rd movie... wait! He was a drug smuggler? Then how the hell did he become a pilot in the Republic? Just... why?
7. What is the weakest piece of canon writing?
Oh, dang. I think I just mentioned it. LOL Uhm.. I guess I could also complain a bit about the Ahsoka series, which overall I absolutely loved, but... why Sabine? Why are we making her a Jedi? I mean, I love her, but she's enough as she is. Why are we changing canon? *sigh* So, yes I love Star Wars, ALL of it, but I do still have my 'eye rolling' moments.
Send me some asks!

Mwhahaha I descend on your ask box with the same question I have inflicted on other people over the past few days: favorite Star Wars head canons?
I am SO sorry this has taken so long. Insane end of the year---life of a teacher. xD Thank you for asking!
Hmmm, favorite head canons.
Piett is secretly delighted that there is ONE person that is shorter than he is, but one does not openly admit that to Princess Leia.
Veers not secretly enjoys the fact that he is two years older than Piett and therefore anytime older brother situations come up, he is happy to take on that role and is not intimidated by the 'Admiral' glare.
On the flip side---Leia is a few minutes younger than Luke but literally NO ONE would guess that as she practically SCREAMS oldest vibes and thus, very few people ask the twins who's older. Luke has actually bald faced lied about it because it allows him to get away with so much. Innocent farm boy younger sibling remember? [Fox doesn't buy it]
Han is desperate for Ahsoka to show up again because Anakin dropped something in passing about how she could outdrink a Wookiee and now he wants to test that theory with Chewbacca. He and Venka already have a bet, but getting the Togruta and the Wookiee together is VERY difficult.
Baldwin [Chief Engineer in my AU] will never tell anyone that the Admiral will still on occasion come down to the plasma core of the Lady with a hover chair and his favorite book on tall ships in order to quietly discuss it with her. Baldwin would LOVE to know what she shows Piett on the datapad when he asks about her thoughts on sailing in water vs. space.

5 and 8?
From Choose Violence Star Wars asks:
Okay, #5: Worst Blorboification:
I have to admit, I'm still shaky on my understanding of what is and isn't a blorbo. But from what I can find, it's a character someone really likes and kind of treats like a pet. And there are so many in Star Wars. Everyone thinks "I can fix him!" (choose your own "him" to fix -- Vader, Kylo Ren, etc.).
That said, the one that's puzzled me the longest is Boba Fett. He's just...not that interesting? He really didn't have much screen time until fairly recently (although I'm pretty sure there were comics and novellas), and it's weird that he survived the sarlacc, and he just seems like an asshole.
For #8: There should be more of this type of fic/art:
SO MANY! I'm all about domestic fluff and found family stuff, so that's an obvious one. I saw more of it pre-Sequels, but fics about the OT gang being good parents/teachers because they had all the makings of that in the OT. Also, two things I've been writing about lately are Wookiees and the Whitesun-Lars family, and there's not enough works about either.
Thanks for the questions!

16, 21, 24 please!
16. Best written female character in Star Wars [it’s okay, you can say none]
Eh...the closest we get is Leia, I think. She's not without her flaws and there are elements that bother me about her story. Like she should have been trained as a Jedi. I like her character though, she strong, sassy, smart and takes no bullshit.
21. Best canon example of a healthy relationship in Star Wars?
Bail and Breha hands down. They both have their careers, their own paths and are often separated but every interaction between them is wholesome and shows the love, trust and respect they have for each other. They are the Star Wars power couple.
24. Fuck marry kill: Tarkin, Pre Viszla, Max Rebo
Kill Tarkin, he wouldn't hesitate to take me out so I'll take him out first. I'd marry Max Rebo for the money, and I guess Viszla is my sordid affair 😂

AU where Anakin and Owen are actually brothers like we deserved in the films. Nothing about the plot changes it just makes everything like 20% sadder. (Plus space wizard farmer family shenanigans).
I honestly believe half-brother Owen could give Anakin enough of a reality check for this to be a fix-it au LOL

6, 12, and 14 for Omega?
6. What's something you have in common with this character?
A love of animals!! And growing up with our brothers as our primary social group lolol
12. What's a headcanon you have for this character?
Maybe more of just a character analysis than headcanon, but I see Omega as being hyper sensitive and in touch with her emotions in a way that makes her extremely powerful. I like to believe she is connected to the force in this way. It is proven by her insightfulness, knack with animals, and ability to make friends easily. She literally wins everyone over. Animals are naturally drawn to insightful and sensitive people, I like to believe humans inherently are too.
14. Assign a fashion aesthetic to this character.
Man I love her outfits in s3 (I have plans to try and cable knit her rope vest). Maybe a hybrid of gorp-core and bohemian. She dresses practically but always seems to have little sentimental accessories.

This is an old drawing I love her I love her I love her

For the star wars fave/least fave thing!
1, 3, 8, and 19?
Ohhhhh, so many questions. I’m excited to get my teef into these!
Favourite/Least Favourite Movie
Someone else beat you to this punch, so just the short answers.
Favourite: Rogue One
Least Favourite: Solo
3. Favourite/Least Favourite TV show episodes.
Omg, I’m not sticking to just one!! I kinda need to break this all down to the different series. Sorry Andor, you get enough love from everyone else that I'm gonna skip over you. And sorry Book of Boba Fett, I haven't invested enough energy to know you better yet to have strong opinions.
The Mandalorian.
Favourites: Yes I’m giving myself two answers here. Firstly, the Foundling. I love seeing how Bo-Katan goes about fitting in with the Children of the Watch, working out how to live their lifestyle, but then also still showing off her natural leadership qualities and her tenacity. Also, we get the shoulder touch. So fucking gay. Inject that straight (queerly) into my veins.
The second fave is The Jedi. I hadn’t watched any of the animation series before Mando S2, and when she came onto my screen, I sat up and paid attention. Ahsoka Tano, my blorbo beloved. I needed to know everything about her after watching that episode. Cue brainrot.
Least Favourite: Probably the Passenger. Felt like another filler episode. The typical “you only get to progress in the storyline if you fulfil this side quest” was growing old on me by this stage. Plus, giant spiders on an ice planet. Ick. No thanks. And Grogu eating the Frog Lady’s babies, UUUGGGGHHHH!!!!!
Ahsoka series.
Favourite: Time to Fly. It gave me tension-filled Sokabine. It gave me Jacen Syndulla. It gave me Ahsoka doing unhinged stuff like going outside her ship in space to fight off attackers. It gave me Sabine’s gay-panic face. It gave me purrgil. It gave me Huyang being an honest arsehole. It gave me Sabine losing a fight to a cup. I’m more than willing to overlook the completely stupid storyline writing for Hera’s subplot for everything else that episode did give me.
Least favourite: Far, Far Away. Not enough Ahsoka in this episode. And no Hera. So that instantly makes me sad. Also Sabine is written so poorly in this (no shade at Natasha for it, she did well for the poor hand she was dealt). Sabine’s smart, and yet all episode she’s just being all “where’s Ezra?” Smart Sabine wouldn't be standing at her prison door, banging on it and yelling about some deal that can't be fulfilled yet anyway because they aren't even on the fkn planet yet. Smart Sabine would be taking in her situation so much better. She'd be finding air vents to sneak into, so that even if she couldn't escape through them, she'd know the layout of the ship for whenever the New Republic might come up to fight against it. She’s be coming up with a plan to get Ezra and herself back home again once she’s let loose or makes a gaol break. She’d be stealing another TIE fighter with decent scanner equipment and faster travel, not being given a cowardly howler to search an entire planet that Ezra’s been hiding on for ten years on foot. They did her intelligence a massive disservice this episode. Also wasn’t a fan with how contemptuous they made Thrawn of Baylan and the Jedi in general. Chiss culture has a certain reverence for Force-wielders, and even though Kanan and Ezra were the enemies of Thrawn throughout Rebels, he always showed a level of respect towards them. Actually, Thrawn was pretty poorly written for the whole damn show. Bring Tim Zahn to the table to write the character properly, I beg you.
The Clone Wars
Favourite: The Phantom Apprentice. NGL, the last half of season seven of The Clone Wars was peak Star Wars. Fight me. But with this episode in particular, that fight sequence between Ahsoka and Maul, the dialogue leading up to it, the tension and shadow hanging over the entire episode? Perfection. It makes me believe Anakin’s fall so much more, in that Ahsoka’s absence from the events of The Revenge of the Sith speaks more to Anakin’s emotional isolation and manipulation to turn on the Jedi.
Least favourite: Can’t really say a particular episode. There were a number of filler ones that I just yawned through. There was one that focused on Anakin and Padme’s relationship, that was probably my least enjoyable. I get that their relationship was toxic/fucked up/doomed to fail, I don’t want to see more of it. Gives me the ick.
Rebels
Favourite: Twilight of the Apprentice. I get Maul back. Ahsoka is a badass. Kanan is a legend. I cry like a bitch at the end of it. But Ahsoka’s not actually dead either. Wins all round for me.
Also, Hera’s Heroes. Where we get a real introduction to Thrawn. I love his assessment of her. The respect, the admiration, that he has for his enemy. How he sees her as a worthy opponent.
“War, it's all you've ever know, isn't it? You were so young when you survived the Clone Wars, no wonder you're as equipped in spirit to fight as well as you do. War is in your blood. I studied the art of war, worked to perfect it, but you? You were forged by it.”
Gives me shivers. I really hope they do future Thrawn vs Hera justice in upcoming movies/shows, but I know I shouldn’t hold my breath…
Least favourite: Jedi Knight. It was an amazing episode. I don’t think I’ve watched any Star Wars (with perhaps the exception of Rogue One) that’s managed to pull such unexpected emotion out of me. And for that reason, I cannot bring myself to watch it again. I dunno. Maybe one day when I’m feeling emotionally robust. RIP Kanan. You deserved such a heroic death, but you also deserved to live. Fuck you, Governor Pryce.
8. Favourite/Least Favourite Concept
Favourite: That the Force is in everyone. (Yes, even you!) It frustrates me that fandom miss the point of there being a difference between Force-wielding and Force-sensitivity. Anyone can use the Force, but those who are selected to train as Jedi from a young age have a natural ability to wield it, because if you don’t have that natural ability, tapping into it and wielding it is hard. Even those with natural aptitude for the Force find it hard! Ezra Bridger? Force sensitive. Had the abilities from a young age, and just required mentorship/guidance on how to best connect with and use them. Sabine Wren? She has the Force sensitivity of a sandwich. She is not Force-sensitive. Which is why Kanan didn’t ‘pick up on Sabine’s Force sensitivity’, because she didn’t have any! She was just a stubborn woman who decided she wanted to try the seemingly impossible and found a master who was unhinged enough as her to try it too. I think a lot more people could use the lesson from her story, about persistence, patience and hard work paying off. Anywho, end rant there.
Least favourite. That ‘falling to the dark side’ is somehow freeing/a good thing/something to strive for. I hate how they made Osha Aniseya seem like she’d achieved some kind of ‘enlightenment’ from having just killed her father figure, abandoning her sister to have her memory wiped, and teaming up with some attractive stranger who had just murdered a bunch of her friends. It wasn’t enlightenment. It was manipulation. STFU.
19. Favourite/Least Favourite Outfit
And since owning both the Adidas wrestling shoes from her white outfit and the Tabi shoes from her dark one, I can attest that they are so damn comfortable whilst also feeling like I could run over any terrain or kick some bad guys’ butts.
