Hello fellow human, I am a London-based art lover and bookseller. I collect objects, thoughts and smells from the world. If my soul could speak, it would say what you see here. This is my space of gratitude. Enjoy.

If someone defames and disgraces you, that is simply the result of having criticized and dishonored others in the past, especially bodhisattvas. Instead of feeling angry with such people, you should feel grateful to them for giving you the opportunity to purify your past misdeeds. In all circumstances, it is important to act in accordance with the teachings - but especially at such moments.
What is the point of having received teachings if you do not apply them? Unfavorable circumstances are the best opportunity you will have to put the teachings into practice.
~Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche - The Heart of Compassion: The Thirty-seven Verses on the Practice of a Bodhisattva

Today I woke up early, had a quick breakfast and hopped on a train to Kennington to join a meditation class at Jamyang Buddhist Centre. It’s my second time. I befriended the teacher, Roy, a man in his 70s and a good friend of my colleague Mike, and asked him questions regarding mudras. I love the room where the classes take place - it’s beautiful: so simple and full, it needs nothing more than what it already has. The white sky is reflected on the old wooden floors.
Just outside there’s a small house - more like a small room detached from the rest of the building but within the same complex. I stood on my tips in the hopes of catching more details. From the small window I noticed a chain of fairy lights and a large thangka hanging on the white wall. A small lamp beyond the window suggested a shelf or a desk.
I took a picture of the room before leaving, as I would love my space to look just like that one day.
