Apparently today is the day MLP: Friendship is Magic premiered 14 years ago

Now I never watched the show before I ended up sitting down with my little cousin and doing so, but it's wild to me the longevity of the show, it transcended eras

When MLP: FIM premiered its contemporaries were Star Wars The Clone Wars, Young Justice, Transformers Prime, Regular Show, Adventure Time, Ben 10 Ultimate Alien, Avengers Eearth's Mightiest Heroes, Scooby-Doo Mystery Incorporated, Phineas and Ferb, Batman the Brave and the Bold, etc

And when it ended, it's contemporaries were Amphibia, Gen: Lock, Harley Quinn, Infinity Train, Rick and Morty, Rise of the TMNT, She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, Star Wars Resistance, Transformers Cyberverse, Ducktales (2017), RWBY, Ninjago, The Amazing World of Gumball, Ben 10 (2016), etc

Not only that, but it also outlived a number of shows that released after it premiered, like Steven Universe, Ben 10 Omniverse, Voltron Legendary Defender, Gravity Falls, TMNT (2012), The Legend of Korra, Transformers Robots in Disguise (2015), Star Wars Rebels, etc some of which being successors/sequels to shows it was originally airing alongside (Star Wars The Clone Wars-Star Wars Rebels, Transformers Prime-Transformers RID2015, Ben 10 Ultimate Alien-Ben 10 Omniverse)

Young Justice is a good show in a lot of ways but chief among its virtues is that it briefly made Captain Marvel the team's supervising adult.

need roydick friendship that’s just on the edge of being inappropriate, like there’s a age difference of 3-4 years depending on who’s had a birthday recently and no one really cares about a 17 year old and a 14 year old hanging out, especially when Wally is around as a buffer between the two, but later when Roy is 20 and Dick is 16 still and they’re walking down from from the roof of titans tower smelling like weed and liquor, suddenly people are thinking about stuff like “boundaries” and being a “good influence” like that ship hadn’t sailed a long time ago

so this is about the YJ version of her bc that's the only media i know of her (i only watched s1 but have watched so many compilations of her that i prob watched all her scenes in other seasons lol)

literally so cool. love her design her backstory her voice her theme her character her relationship w artemis and w roy/will and her EVERYTHING. While i didn't watch the other seasons, from what ive seen her conflict about having lian seems interesting and her long reconciliation (?) w artemis is well done. also her and will <33

Why did nobody tell me Razer was in Young Justice and they almost completed his arc?

I imagined that at some point when she was unstable, before she ran back to Amity Park to get help, she went into Gotham City.

She got cornered by a villian (I will let you imagine which one). Batman and Robin arrived to help her, and when everyone was distracted, she quickly left and fled the city.

Batman and Robin searched for her but came up empty handed. They only saw her again when she introduced herself was the Princess of the Infinite Realms, second heir to the Throne of the Dead.

Eventually, Team Phantom reveals the truth about the Dani's encounter in Gotham, and their own backstories.

Things get rather awkward afterwards.

On the one hand, I'm like: really? You end the season setting up Heroes in Crisis and the Black Mary Marvel arc? Those are the stories that you think people want to see?

Then again, they made Danny Chase sympathetic. If anyone could work a miracle...

SPOILER FOR YOUNG JUSTICE THE CARTOON

I dont like this cartoon, the first season was okay but the other three seasons are absolute crap. I started to watch this show because I wanted to see teen hero shenanigans which I partly got in the FIRST SEASON ONLY. The other three had them being adults and I watched the show for the first group of teens, I have no idea who most of the new characters are. Honestly the only scenes I like in the last three seasons is the "dang it" in the end credits, the lost bus scenes, the wally video game thing. I can't like anything else with those seasons especially with all the plot holes being left all over the place. It all feels so random and not at all put together.

All the villains seem to be 10 steps ahead of the heroes, while the hero's are celebrating their win not knowing they sometimes play right into the bad guys hands. The villains are all like 'the hero's only got one of our pawns we didn't even need it anymore, the hero's did us a favor Mwahaha'.

Somehow I only really realized today that this man, Crispin Freeman, voices these characters. Touga and Winston were especially surprising to me!

I’m not actually familiar with Ghost in the Shell, but it was hearing Togusa’s voice that made me scroll thru Crispin’s IMDB page.
