In the light of #lastreblog, for all the talks about Lestat being a troublemaker and is a brat, we should acknowledge that Louis (or AMC Louis, to the exact. Lewis isn't like this) is a troublemaker and a brat too. If Lestat's comes from his trauma not getting enough attention from his parents growing up, Louis' is from his anger as a gay Black man. The more the community he is in tries to repress him, the more likely he won't listen and will throw a fuck you to them (e.g. Louis vs his homophobic family, Louis vs the racist NOLA system, Louis vs TdV, and Louis vs the vampiric world). Rolin said he wanted to give this Louis more backbone, and Louis says he won't hide anymore. And I love that. I love that we have him

if i could turn back time to when i was in school and getting bullied, the one thing i would change is that i would slap the everliving hell out of everyone who bullied me, at least any kind of retaliation. trouble in school did not translate to trouble in my future life so i really should've just taken those chances to assault those fuckers. now im an adult and id get in actual trouble for that 🙄 so if you're in school and getting bullied you should beat them up back (dont listen to me)
