The longer I stay on the internet, the more I realize why my dad devolved from legitimate thoughtful arguments with others to just straight up telling people to off themselves. Some people have opinions they just... they just have no right to have and it's somehow more insulting than if they were just stupid, and it's legitimately terrifying how many of them there are sometimes and how that number reflects on policy all over.

I swear, the “pro palestine” crowd is never beating the antisemitic, racist, and xenophobic allegations because anytime I see someone with a star of david or israeli flag in their name/bio, there’s always about 50 replies that have NOTHING to do with whatever they commented and are basically just them harassing this random person online.

And there’s no winning either! Because I literally just saw someone who had their username formatted like this- "[Israeli flag] [username] [palestine flag]” -and they had like “free palestine” in their bio and also “free israel” (as in free them from hamas’ violence) and they STILL had people under their random comment on an edit saying shit like-

“You can’t have both flags in your username”

“Free Israel from violence they created?”

“No pissraeli is innocent”

So like, there’s literally no winning! Even if you’re vocal about your support of palestine, if you don’t condemn all jews and israelis to death then the “pro palestine” crowd hates you. You can want peace, want a ceasefire, want everyone to be safe, but if you DARE have any empathy for israelis or jews or the hostages then apparently none of that matters because you’re the “enemy.”

Heaven forbid you think that a two state solution is best, instead of wanting israel wiped off the face of the earth. Heaven forbid you think hamas is the terrorist organization that it LITERALLY IS and responsible for the vast majority of all of this horror, instead of painting them as “freedom fighters” and “poor wittle victuwms of the eeevil pissraelis.” Heaven forbid you condemn the antisemitism that’s skyrocketing all around the world instead of just ignoring it or calling it “activism” and saying that “the evil jews zionists just want to silence us!”

I’ve literally lost multiple friends over this shit because that’s the kind of bullshit they spread/support/associate with. It’s fucking ridiculous that people I bonded with over similar values have now just seemingly tossed those values right out the window when it comes to jews and israel/israelis. I’m so fucking tired of all of this bullshit.

If any of my old friends see this post and wonder- “does this apply to me?” -or- “is this why they stopped hanging out with me?” -think of the conversations I’ve had with y’all about this shit and take a wild fucking guess.

I recently saw a comment on tiktok where the dude basically was like "non [ethnicity] people shouldn't be talking about [country to ethnicity] history"

My first instinct was to be like "yeah? So should non germans stop talking about german history then?"

Because non germans talk abt it way more often than germans. I cannot tell you how many times someone called me a Nazi as a joke or genuinely, people were like "oh yeah what abour ww2??" When they (god forbid) loose an argument and so on and on.

Isn't that what history is? People talking about events from the past so that they know what happened and also so that it doesn't get forgotten?

kendall’s family makes me so incredibly sad because ultimately his active emulation of logan and desire to have and maintain the top job clashes with his relationship to rava and sophie (+iverson). and this is a family born out of genuine love! something 20 something year old kendall really wanted. comparing how deeply in love he was with rava in early s1 to how he criticises and disregards her in s4. he forces her to be the ‘nagging bitch wife’ which is not what she wanted to be and not who she is. and still she cares so deeply! the first thing she asks him is if he’s okay and he continues to brush her off and it’s so clear that she wants him to let her in and he won’t. and it’s like. how long can she possibly keep doing this? like the issue with sophie facing racism from some random atn supporter and kendall’s response being. well why was she there. he truly will Never get it. kendall has seriously never thought about how being the ceo of a far right racist media conglomerate would be a conflict of interest when adopting a brown child. like the idea that kendall’s wealth would somehow shield sophie away from a system that’s institutionally racist when effectively a large part of it is atn that’s churning out and propagandising this shit. like to sophie that means it’s basically coming from kendall himself. it makes perfect sense that she’d find safety and support in a group that opposes atn and subsequently her father because ultimately all kendall is doing is pushing her further and further away. she will grow to resent him so deeply if she hasn’t already i fear and it will entirely be kendall’s fault . like i think a big part of kendall’s storyline this season will be him continuing to isolate himself and push people away and in terms of his family he’ll be left with nothing..

I can go on a whole rant about how absolutely infuriating it is that some populations of the far-right and neonazis online have decided to co-opt Michael Jackson's fights and struggles with the media, police and his own fucking 'friends' and record company throughout the years for their own gain, but unfortunately I'd have to type it all from my phone and I just Won't. But it is sooo so so frustrating to see it happening in real time. Blocking isn't enough someone needs to seriously and more actively call attention to this on different platforms because they're doing the same thing they always did ESPECIALLY when they were not 'on his side': making up scenarios or using misconstrued context to ignore the fact that the vast majority of what happened to him was personally, financially and racially motivated.

anyways i think ive posted this before but the ADL and whatever "rational wiki" is (heard something negative abt it once idk what its about but) both have good index's on dogwhistles to look out for, of course for some things its hard to tell but take context clues and if they use a bunch of other dogwhistles into consideration if you suspect someone is alt right, also consider that some people are essentially taught this stuff w/o context of what it really means sometimes and might just use dogwhistles bc they dont know any better (thinking of minors here mostly). either way gauge for yourself if its safe enough to stick around to find out.
